Dinah could be considered her mother's twin. Her body is just as curvacious, her bright blue eyes hold the fight and seduction. She even had the same long dark hair of her mother until she finally ditched the blonde wig and became a real blonde. Her outfit while fighting the scum of the world is nothing more than a tight unitard, fishnets, black jacket, heels and black gloves. She's a young woman and rather proud of herself, she doesn't try to hide the curves under her clothes.

Personality:
Dinah Lance is a sweet, kind woman, who is a bit quiet. She has her day job as a florist, the quiet of the shop, of the flowers she finds comfort in. She is a person who will help another in any way she can though she doesn't allow a person to abuse that aspect about her. Loyalty is key, once she has formed the bond with a person she never wavers. Though she's quiet at times it doesn't mean she's not flirtatious but not overly so. She's determined and responsible, loving and caring with the memory of her parent's murder in her head.

While suited up as Black Canary, she is fierce and a threat to be reckoned with. She is the type of woman to punch first and ask questions later as she doesn't like to leave anything to chance. Fool her once, shame on you; fool her twice, shame on her and that's not something she's very fond of. Her skills come out when she's in her fishnets, she is skilled in a vast amount of martial arts and can defend herself very easily. She's outspoken, quick on her feet, and an excellent strategist. She is brutally honest and tells a person like it is even if it could cause tension. Black Canary often assumes a leader role.





Powers:

• Canary Cry: Due to being born with a meta-gene, Dinah has the ability to produce a sonic attack that can stun or damage foes and objects and can even shatter metal. She is fully able to control her power through her vocal cords and is able to create sounds as well as mimicking them. The cry reaches up to 300 decibels though it can cause Dinah to suffer in the form of her energy being worn down. She is able to disrupt frequencies though there is the fact she lost her Cry once and it could happen again.
  
  
• Canary Scream: (Yet to be developed) An even louder sonic attack that can full on kill a person depending on how close they are to Black Canary.

• Canary Cry bombs: When she was without her ability, Dinah created bombs that emitted a sonic sound similar to her ability. Since having her Cry back she doesn't use them but carries them on her person and has them back at headquarters for all to use on missions she is not present.

History:

Dinah is the daughter of the original Black Canary, Dinah Drake, and the detective, Larry Lance, a family of crime fighters. She, out of her parents, was the gifted one as she was the only one in her family born with a meta-gene which caused her to possess the ability she named the Canary Cry. When she elects to scream Canary produces a sonic attack which is capable of incapacitating a person and scramble frequencies in objects. With said ability it became young Dinah's dream to be a crime fighter just like her mother though mother Dinah did not agree. It made matters worse the fact that she grew up with the members of the original Justice Society of America as her 'aunts' and 'uncles'.

At the age of nineteen Dinah began her training, behind her mother's back, with longtime family friend, Ted Grant otherwise known as Wildcat. She trained intensely, day and night, to make something of herself. She was gifted with a special ability and wanted to help save people, just as her parents did-- just as her mother did. She took on her mother's uniform and old alias as a respectful nod to the woman who first donned the black fishnets. Her mother knew of the perils that came with a vigilante life, the dangers of what could happen so she was upset in the beginning but saw that her daughter was more than capable of handling herself. The daughter Dinah even managed to keep her identities separate by continuing to work the family business as a florist.

Shortly after jumping on the scene in Gotham and the likes, she became one of the members of the Justice League of America working alongside Batman, Superman, Wonderwoman and more noteably to Dinah, Green Arrow. She couldn't stand Oliver "Ollie" Queen at first but he developed into being the love of her life, despite their age difference. She stayed with the Justice League for six years which included her time in the Justice League International of which she was a founding member. She moved with Queen to Star City but continued to work with the group. Though she didn't remain with the League after the death of her mother, it was a painful time for Dinah and the grief and her pain caused the Black Canary to leave the Justice League of America so that she could focus on herself.

She and Oliver Queen moved to Seattle, Washington where she opened a florist shop she named Sherwood Forests; a play on Robin Hood stories. Though she moved from the east coast to the west coast, her crime fighting and a string of bad luck followed the Canary. Ollie wanted children but Dinah turned down the idea citing their lives were too dangerous at the moment. She participated in the failed sting of a drug bust which resulted in her being kidnapped and tortured by the drug kingpin. Her voice cords were mutilated, her canary cry lost. But quite possibly the worst insult, something that would mark her forever, was that Dinah was no longer able to produce children. The shame that she'd never give Ollie a child was something that hung over her head to present day. Green Arrow saved Black Canary by killing her kidnapper though they both were traumatized which lead to extensive therapy in which Ollie was on her side despite his current mid-life crisis.

She didn't return to crime fighting after she left the hospital, her fear was that she couldn't fight back. What made her a woman, childbearing, was gone as well as the mutation in her vocal cords which caused her Canary Cry. Though she was skilled in martial arts she was discouraged, she felt pathetic and worthless. It wasn't until she stood up to muggers after getting off a bus, not without taking a few blows, did she realize she wasn't as pathetic as she seemed. It was good for the Canary as she felt like her old self, something which was quite refreshing. Now that she had gotten over her fears, the Black Canary returned to fighting crime on and off. Though a crush blow was dealt in Dinah's personal life when she walked in on Oliver kissing her florist assistant, Marianne. She felt the Green Arrow would never be able to commit her so she parted ways with her love heartbroken. To add further insult she found out about Conner Hawke and his lineage which was Oliver Queen, something she had never been informed of.

Lance returned to Gotham upon learning that Barbra Gordon, formerly Batgirl, had been gravely injured by the Joker. It was the aftermath and Barbra's resilience that caused her to pick up the Oracle alias and form a secretive group of which she asked Canary to be a member, the Birds of Prey. She fought alongside the Huntress, Gypsy, and Lady Deathawk though Lance was the heart of the team. She developed a bit of a romance with Ra's al Ghul which ultimately led to the Black Canary restoring her cry. It was at the urging of the Oracle did Lance submerge herself in the Lazarus Pit. Dinah Lance emerged looking younger, in her mid-twenties, and her Canary Cry restored. The Justice League reformed and that was when she decided it was time for her to join forces with them once again as she became a member for the second time. She was rejuvenated, in good spirits. Even though she was apart of the Justice League she continues her work in the Birds of Prey. The merging of the worlds has brought her back fully in the game of crime fighting.
