Everything about his body seems to be…well…perfect, despite the tattoos on his body, which he keeps covered with his expensive clothing. He has sharp blue eyes, nice hair, and perfect white teeth; he has a wonderful smile as well. His skin color is tanned and he has got a killer body as well. He’s barely got any fat on him due to him keeping in shape. Alex’s muscles and body type are considered to be lean; he isn’t obscenely huge but one can definitely see the pectoral muscles on his chest and the six pack that graces his abdomen. He keeps himself in tip top shape with his physical and martial arts training.
He might even be considered to be a little vain. Matt, knowing how good he looks, makes it a point to make sure everyone knows it. One can always find him wearing a good, clean, and expensive suit. He prides himself on showing everyone up with what he wears whenever he goes out. The only time he is not in a suit is when he is in the gym. He takes good care of his skin and body and he hates blemishes on his skin. He stays away from things that will make his face and skin oily and unsightly. Matthew believes that appearances are everything so he generally does his best to keep his appearance clean and well-kept. He has the appearance of a very powerful young man, not in strength but in terms of resourcefulness. He has an imposing appearance, but not in terms of physicality. He is always seen with a straight face or with a smug look on his face, or with simply a blank stare.

Personality: With his mother being a biologist and his dad being the CEO of a huge company, Matt’s family was well-off, to say the least, and because he learned, when he was a kid, that he could do or ask for whatever he wanted with few to zero consequences, Matthew did not grow up to be a nice person. In fact, given the way his life has been Matt’s personality is quite complex, to say the least. At first glance, he is dreadfully arrogant but extremely charismatic. Matt demands your attention and won’t take no for an answer. He can overdo it sometimes and seem like a total asshole, however, he always comes through for the people he loves. He tends to be a bit selfish and inconsiderate, although he is fiercely loyal. He is unbelievably narcissistic and painfully attentive to other peoples’ flaws, and delights in pointing them out. It all contributes to his “brilliant” sense of humor. Matt has no problem making those whom he deems as inferior feel miserable. Matt simply sees himself as the apex predator. He might even be considered to be a little vain. Matt, knowing how good he looks, makes it a point to make sure everyone knows it. Matt has never met a mirror that he didn’t like.
Matt is very over-confident and very abrasive, literally having little to no respect for authority, simply because given the fact that he is now CEO of his father’s company, he is known as the commanding figure in his own life. Matt is very sure of himself, and he loves to win simply because he feels that all he does is win, which of course leads him to be a very sore loser whenever things don’t go his way, considering his personality and his abilities. Matt is also very manipulative; he is quite smart. Most times, he finds himself playing mind chess with others and he always finds himself winning. Matt can be quite conniving and shrewd when he wants to be. Matt is quite the womanizer as well, often going out on dates and often charming them to come back to his apartment to “get to know them better”. However, there is one rule that Matt goes by: His boys are not over his women and women are not above Matt himself in any way. Although Matt is a complete douche bag, he is quite capable of being captivating. Matt is not without his followers and pupils. Matt always has a huge posse in tow.
Due to his high intelligence, Matt sees himself not only as a man of perfection but as a man of absolution. With him, either it is or it isn’t. He hates and loathes things that have to do with probability so much that this hate had even brought him to hate the word “Maybe”. This infuriates Matt to no end, and he hates people that use this word. He hates things that he cannot explain, given the fact that he believes that being so smart means that he is perfect. Although Matt can be very mean, he is not without his loyal side. Matt is fiercely loyal to those he deems worthy, no matter how much he may make fun of them and make them miserable. However, even if such an opportunity were to arise whereas he would have to throw his friend under the bus then he might just do that, depending on who it is. When it comes to the political side of things, Matthew puts on a façade. He acts like a man that deeply cares for people and he is an advocate for many things that might better the community in his eyes. However, what he doesn’t realize is that he is not the “Man of the People” that he believes himself to be. Matthew shuns mutants and mutant rights. Given what mutants had done to his family, there is no love lost between Matthew and mutants. However, if it will help him reach his goals, he has no problem with making friends with a mutant or two to help him reach his own personal goals and achieve what might be on his personal agenda. He is not even for humans all the way either, often advocating for things that will make things better for his kind…or rather “rich people”. However, he has no problems joining the bad guys or the good guys if it will help him reach his goals. Matthew changes opinions as much as an obese man might eat in a day.
Matt can be selfish and quite inconsiderate. He can be narcissistic and over-confident and obnoxious. He is painfully attentive to other peoples’ flaws and he delights in pointing them out. He takes pride in making fun of friends and family alike. However, he is exceedingly charismatic and exceptionally captivating, he is quite capable of getting one that doesn’t like him to do the exact opposite. He is not without his friends and he is fiercely loyal to them and his family. He can also be very unpredictable and he believes in absolution and nothing else. Matt, all in all, believes that he is untouchable. He believes himself to be king and that everyone should treat him as such.
"With great power comes great responsibility"
Powers: Matt does not have any mutant or superpowers, per say. However, he does a couple abilities that help him defend himself.
Expert Martial Artist: Matt, despite being a human, knows very well how to defend himself. He had been training in martial arts ever since he was 10 years old, after developing an interest in it when he was young. His mom and dad hired a martial arts expert and he trained Matt in Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido. Matthew is a third degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and a second degree black belt in Hapkido. His family did this, thinking that it will help to discipline Matt but it was to no avail.
Peak Physical Condition: Matt is as strong he can be for a 23 year old that 6’2” and weighs 195lbs. He started training with weights and all at the age of 14 and he trained five days a week from that age all the way up until now. Matt can lift his own body weight easily and he is constantly put through strenuous physical workouts along with his martial arts training.
Superb Intellect: Matt had been training his mind for as long as he had been able to read. His father and mother put him to work academically. They wouldn’t let him go to a regular school because they believed that things moved too “slow”, so they home-schooled him. He had this forced upon him so that he might take over his father’s business and perhaps, run things better than he could. By the time he was 17, he had studied and mastered all concepts and aspects related to Math, Biology, Physics, Economics, Business Administration, History, Government, Technology, and War tactics and strategy. He also learned to be fluent in Spanish, German, Japanese, French, and Arabic and he learned all there was to learn about running the family business. Matt can outsmart anyone and anything, and he will look good doing it. He can do it all; he can outwit you, he can outsmart you, he can outdebate you. He is the apex predator when it comes to wisdom and intellect, from scientific and mathematic wisdom and intellect, to strategy and tactics in any given situation, to memorization. His mind is so strong that it can even retain things that he has read or seen before.

History:
Matthew Merrick was born on August 7 in the Upper East Side, a neighborhood in the borough of Manhattan in New York City. From the time he was born, and even before then, his family had been extremely well off. His mother, Helena Merrick was an accomplished biologist and his father, Aidan Merrick, was the CEO of his own electronics company, known as Merrick Inc., one of the largest companies in the world in terms of technology. Matthew’s mother was an only child but his father had one other brother whose name was Thomas, who helped his father run his company. Matthew’s parents loved their only child, and so they spoiled him rotten. Whatever Matthew wanted, Matthew got…however…this would spell doom for them. Matthew became a spoiled brat, if he didn’t get what he wanted, he would make a huge fuss about it and he would let his parents hear the end of it until he got what he wanted. This was evident when Matthew watched his first martial arts movie. After he was done watching it, he immediately asked his parents if he could learn martial arts, his parents said no and Matthew went off. He yelled, screamed, and was rude to them until they finally decided to hire a martial arts teacher to teach Matt Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido. Of course, like any heir to a huge company, Matthew was forced to start learning things early. He was never put in a public or a private school due to the fact that his parents believed that they moved things too slowly so they had Matthew homeschooled. Even though Matthew was exceedingly spoiled, he still loved his father and mother; he wouldn’t trade them for the world. However, he would find out that the fact that he wouldn’t give them away for anything didn’t matter, for he would have them taken away from him…
One day, when he was 11 years old, his parents left for a charity event and he was left with his studies and his uncle Thomas to babysit him. Matthew studied and studied and studied some more; some hours pass on and Matthew wonders how long this charity event of theirs is supposed to take. Matt walks downstairs to talk to his uncle but he sees him on the phone with a distraught look on his face. Matt asked his uncle about what could have made me look so sad but his uncle gave him a waiting motion, telling him that he was still on the phone. After a few minutes, his uncle hung up the phone immediately and told Matthew to get dressed and that something terrible had happened. And so, Matt put on his clothes and went away with his uncle, although Matt didn’t know where they were going. As his uncle drove, Matt continuously asked him what was wrong but his uncle wouldn’t say a thing. It was then that Matt and his uncle approached a huge building that looked to be on fire with police cars, firefighters and people with extravagant clothes on. His uncle stopped the car and they both got out, Matt watched as his uncle ran toward all of the commotion. Matt tried to follow but his uncle Thomas told him to stay where he was. He watched as his uncle ran toward a police officer. To Matt, he seemed to be talking to him but then suddenly Matt saw an expression of sadness and anger come from his uncle. Matt then ran to his uncle, disobeying his orders from him to stay next to the car. Matt, again, asked his uncle what was happening…and then that was when Matt saw a horrific sight… Behind his uncle, he saw two bodies. A man and a woman on two different ambulance gurneys; they were bloodied and disfigured…but Matt knew exactly who lay before him. It was his mother and father…or at least what was left of them. Matt’s insides sunk to the very bottom. Matt’s eyes began to tear up as the EMTs zipped up the bodies of his mother and father. Matt fell to his knees and cried hysterically, trying to think of why someone would do this to him, why someone would do this to innocent people. It was then that he overheard his uncle being told by the police officer he was talking to that it was an attack by a mutant that caused all this trouble. Matt quickly turned and asked his uncle what a “mutant” was. His uncle was reluctant to talk at all…he just told Matt to get in the car…that they were leaving. Once they got home, Matt’s Uncle Thomas sat young Matt down on the couch and out came what he knew about what happened. He told Matt that he was “educated” enough to understand what happened so he began to explain what happened and what a mutant was. Thomas explained everything to him, why there were called mutants, where mutants came from and how mutants came to be and the more he explained, the more Matt began to hate mutants… As if that wasn’t bad enough…on the day of his parents’ funeral, as Matt was getting ready to attend it and say his final goodbyes to his mother and father, his uncle who was now the CEO of Merrick Inc. due to Matt being too young to run the company, told him that he had studying to do. Matt thought it was all a joke but his uncle told him that he was to stay here. Matt asked why…his uncle simply told him that he simply had our respective roles to fill and that he was not to see his parents’ tombstone or even step out of the house until he was done with his studies… His uncle then closed Matt’s door and locked him in his own room and left. Matt smiled and tried to open the door but he found it to be stuck, he couldn’t get it open. He knocked on the door as hard as he could…but to no avail. Matt then fell to his knees again; he just didn’t understand it all. Why this was happening, why his uncle was being so evil to him… All of it just brought Matthew to tears once again…his life and the loving family had changed in an instant…
Matt’s life became a living hell. The more he grew, the harder his life got. He was forced by his uncle to study harder and to work out his body even harder. Whenever he fell short, he was beaten by his uncle. By the time he reached age 14, his physical workouts became much more strenuous. Matt was made to exercise and study like he was a machine and if he even messed up in the slightest, it would result in him getting beat down by his uncle…his own flesh and blood. He was taught by his uncle to treat any subordinates or friends that he might gain as chess pieces…as pawns to be used in order to reach his goal and to take no prisoners. He thought Matt that power and ambition was everything and that without it, he would not reach his goals let alone be able to work in the company that was connected to their family. Matt became so desensitized that he eventually became just like his uncle by the age of 15 even; cold, callous, and calculating was he in dealing with any and all matters. By age 17, Matt began shadowing his uncle, having learned and mastered all concepts and aspects of the academics that been taught to him ever since he had been able to read. He watched his uncle and was mindful of what he did when it concerned his company and how he did it. However, Matt knew something else. He knew that he was the rightful heir to the company that his uncle was controlling. He needed to find some way to take it from him. He didn’t want to wait, he wanted his birthright now…
He took a trip to The Bronx to meet with a hitman. He made a deal with him to kill his uncle and in exchange he would pay him a large sum of money. Matt thought that to be a simple enough deal…only when he went back home, he didn’t expect for his uncle to be there waiting for him. As Matt walked through the door, Thomas had asked Matt where he had been all night and Matt told him that he had just been out with some friends but then his uncle grabbed Matt’s arm and told him that he knew he was lying. It was then that Thomas pushed Matt furiously. Matt then landed on the ground, and that was when Matt had enough. He was tired of getting beat up and pushed around; he knew martial arts so it was time that he used it. Matt got up from the ground and punched Thomas in the face, and that was when a full scale brawl between Thomas and Matt happened. Back and forth they went, of course Thomas, given the fact that he was a grown man, had the advantage. They fought everywhere but it ended in the kitchen with Thomas having socked Matt in the face. When Matt fell to the ground, Thomas picked him up and wrapped his thick hands around Matt’s neck, choking the life from him. Matt tried to pry Thomas’s hands off of his neck but he was just stronger than he was. Matt felt himself fading away but then his eyes caught sight of the knife rack that was next to him. Matt reached for it, hoping that Thomas wouldn’t see. He grabbed a butcher knife from the knife rack and hacked at his Thomas’s left shoulder. Thomas yelled out in pain, grasping his shoulder and watching the blood flow from it. Thomas then fell to his knees and looked up at Matt who had been gasping for air. Matt, with the knife in his hand, grabbed Thomas’s head of hair and looked at him. He then pushed his head back, revealing his neck and in an instant, Matt slit Thomas’s throat…killing him. Thomas’s lifeless body fell to the ground, blood flowing freely from his neck onto the kitchen floor. Matt stepped away so that he wouldn’t get any blood on his clothes.
As Matt looked at Thomas’s body, he relived all the memories he had with his uncle. Matt wasn’t sure what went wrong, Matt came to realize that his uncle did not act this way until Matt’s own parents died. Matt thought that maybe his uncle was just waiting for his chance to strike, or maybe he thought it was all Matt’s fault and he took it all out on him. Matt didn’t know but…for some strange reason…Matt didn’t care. In fact, Matt found himself to be…happy that his uncle was gone… However, he had bigger problems on his hands…he just murdered someone so Matt thought long and hard about how he was going to cover this whole thing up…and then it hit him. He was Matthew Merrick; he had resources…so he should use him. He called the police to tell them that someone attacked him and his uncle. He destroyed the lock and doorknob to make it seem like someone broke in. He lied to the officers once they came around and he had them clean his home up. The very next day, he met with the hitman that he tried to hire in private. He told him that his services were no longer required and left but…for fear that the hitman might say something, he called one of his confidants and arranged to have the hitman killed. Needless to say, he did not attend his uncle’s funeral…
As the years went by, Matthew Merrick was now 23 years old and he had become a powerful business man. His company’s revenue soared to new heights under his innovative plans for the company and he soon became even wealthier than he ever was. He became an expert at martial arts and he had become a great physical specimen, having continued his physical and martial arts training after his uncle died. He found himself being adored by many because of how he looked and how he carried himself. However, the power and money went to his head and he became quite the narcissist and he gained quite a few enemies just as well. He also became charismatic and he knew that with this, he could have a lot of things go his way. And so, he began to become an advocate of social, economic, and political issues that would benefit a business man like himself. He didn’t care much for the public, or rather, people that weren’t, in his eyes, as awesome or rich as he was…and even if he was, in the end, to him, they were just pawns to be used to further his goals. He studied more and became even smarter as well, becoming fluent in many different languages and gaining knowledge about a variety of different things. Matthew began to put to use all that his evil uncle taught him…and it was all working well for him. From being an advocate for issues that would benefit him, to using people to further his goals, to having women satisfy his needs, Matt finally feels that he is in control for the first time in his life. He is having too good a time today and he is never thinking about tomorrow. In Matt’s eyes, his thirst for power goes beyond being the owner and CEO of his own company…he plans to take the whole world by storm…

((This is one that used from another site where I played the same exact character with the same exact personality, only he had the special power of Super Intelligence. I hope this is ok, if it isn’t, then I will be happy to cook up another sample for you to examine. He is in a setting where he is trying to attend a banquet. He was in High school at this point in time))
As president of the Student Council, Matt Merrick, clad in a black silk suit with a silk blue dress shirt and black tie and shined black shoes, had to be there first. He had been walking around, supervising the work that his council members had been putting into setting up the winter formal. Matt was the president but that didn't mean that he wanted to be there. Matt loved being fashionably late; he knew for a fact that, whether people liked him or hated him, they were all quick to notice whether he was there at that moment or not. He walked around, lazily giving orders and answering questions about the setup. Matt ran his hands threw his hair in boredom. After he got the message that everything was ready, he gave the ok to unlock the doors. Matt went to the snack table and poured himself some punch.
Needless to say, Matt was not like everyone else and the fact that he and his sister Elysia were extremely well-off was not what made him different. Matt was considered to a man of witchcraft and spells. He could conjure spells to make others lose their hair, make someone's skin green...and what's more was that he had the ability of Super Intelligence, which meant that he could outsmart and outwit anyone at anytime on in any topic and on any issue. Matt had it all, and knew it...and he loved it. He loved abusing his power and he saw himself as a king. He loved seeing himself as the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be. Matt took down his punch in a few gulps. However, it didn't taste like punch...it tasted like something else. The foreign taste was familiar but...he couldn't exactly put his finger on it.
Matt looked to the doors to see everyone walking in, sitting at the neatly decorated tables. There were some that came to Matt and congratulated him on how the setup was, and of course, Matt took the credit, even though he didn't do a damn thing. Matt poured himself some more punch. His mission was to take a girl home with him or rather to get a girl to check into a hotel with him. The girls that were on dates seemed to be the best picks, Matt knew this from experience, so he started scoping out who he was going to steal away. He had gotten a couple of girls that had dates to look his way...Matt already knew that this was going to be a good night.
