Appearance:Cassandra is about average height standing at five foot five, with a slender build due to her fast metabolism, she does have some inner abs and musclar build even if she is on the Slender side. Cass tends to year black jeans and a tank top or jacket not really being into clothing like most girls would she does not really care what she wears or how she looks clothing wise.

Do not let her body size fool you she is very athletic and tends to train daily. Cassandra does have scars of her back from the bullets that her father trained her with for eight years. She does seem to be able to talk the physical abuse of training, a bruise here or cut there does not bug her one bit, though it leaves a nice mark on her body. Cass hardly ever wears her hair up, she only seems to curl it when is able or is going out to the town, other wise it is worn pin straight and down never going into a pony tail unless she is told to put it up.

Personality: Cassandra seems to be a sweet caring girl that tends to stay silent and stick to the shadows when helping others is something she see's as her mission in life despite that she had a death wish that was answered. Cass is easily manipulated mentally but drugs, and deception due to her disability of having extreme dyslexia. Cassandra loves to train and practice her skills, either on dummies or trees, even on her opponents. Training is one thing she tends to always do. Cass hardly talks but will say a few words here and there, through there very basic half the time, and she pauses in the middle of sentences.

Cassandra prefers to wonder Gotham alone, but when told she will go with others. She is the first to jump in front of a gun being fired, due to her not having the shock after being shot. She does fight fairly well and does not mind a spar here and there but prefers that weapons are not used. Cassandra tends to have a large appetite, she will eat just about anything, It's like her stomach is a bottomless pit. yet, she does not gain any weight due to having a High metabolism. Loyalty, is high to her even though she is mentally vulnerable she tends to stick by the bat's and her mission.

History:
Cassandra was born to David Cain and Lady Shiva, she was raised by David alone for the first eight years of her life, rather than speaking and having fun like other young children would do, she was home schooled and never taught to speak. Cassandra was only conceived it be trained from birth to be the perfect bodyguard for Ra’s al Ghul. Her father hoped for her to be the perfect bodyguard while her Mother, whom she did not known of hoped she could one day be the force to stop her reign of destruction. She was trained to read other’s movements and body language to predict with an uncanny accuracy the other’s next move. This involved her father Cain fighting her, and even shooting her in the back now and them, leaving scars on her body. It caused her to form leaning disabilities, she has an extreme form of dyslexia that hampers at her ability to read or write, let alone that she could not speak.

When Cass turned eight Cain her father decided that his experiment was ready to have a test run. After eight years of vigorous training she was took to her first hit or target. Faizul. Cass had no idea what she was doing or what was going on, It all seemed like a game and only a game. Though when she went and grabbed onto his throat to kill him, watching his eyes with her own she read him. Death, she saw what death looked like on his side. The event was taped. From beginning to end. The kill, left a scar on her, she wished for death. The event scared Cassandra emotionally, and she realized her Father was a murderer for a living, which was wrong on all levels. At eight years old Cassandra ran away.

Cassandra spent nine years homeless and raising herself, she traveled the world seeing different places and people. She used her abilities to help people here and there just to survive. Cass ended up in Gotham City at seventeen years old, she saved the Commissioners life from her assassin father, Which only lead to her being given the Batgirl costume with the approval of Batman and Barbara. Though it frustrated Barbara that she could not speak, Cassandra had her own way of communicating with Body language, writing and reading was hard for her to do. Even if she could not talk, she wished death for herself after she kill an innocent man in her eyes; she was eight years old yes. But , still it haunted her every being in a way. In a ways she became Batman’s adoptive daughter, always seeing him as a father figure than someone who was watching a close eye on her before introducing her to the rest of the Bat-clan (robin ect.). She was allowed to go out on patrol alone one night rather than being under Batman’s watchful eye, it was guarding a petrol station from a local gang, simple right? Easy enough.

It was not long till Batman, who she did not know as Bruce Wayne noticed that she had a death wish from the way she acted, how she stayed off most of the time, let them get a few hits ]here and there, she did not mind being shot by a gun. The shock of being shot never hit her anymore from how many times it happened as a child. Cass was given a choice between suicidal actions, and self preservation. She though it over and choose the self preservation even though deep down she still wished to die and would hide it from the man she saw as a Father.

Even with her disability of being unable to read, write or talk, she was more than capable of listening and was ears to batman, even if she could not speak back she listened when he had to talk or needed to. Though Barbara was flustereated with her unable to respond to conversations she proved herself in ways by teaming up against a vigilante hunting down disappearing corpses.

After the running successes she had and understanding her mission as being Batgirl, Batman let her run solo around Gotham City only if she never faced costumed criminals. Cassandra can always hear his words from that day “Remember. On those streets, you…are me.” She was running on her own when she ignored the Bat’s words faced a Meta-human, despite that she won, a scolding soon followed. It was a rift that began to grow as her Father figure was batman her Biological father David Cain was longing to have his daughter back when Batman found the recording of her first kill when she was eight that Cain had transmitted to the Bat cave. He stomach sank thinking that he would not accept her after that and she would lose his trust. He only continued to trust and accept her but things broke apart when a psychic had some fun with Cassandra’s mind so that she could actually understand words, she lost her ability to fight and nearly died trying to protect the psychic. Batman took away her costume, though he started to retrain her, it was not the same, she screamed “STOP” to him, her first word was stop.

Cassandra felt worse, which only made the feeling of wishing for death hit her harder. She often snuck out and played vigilante, and that is when she meet her mother, Lady Shiva. Who offered to retrain her with her abilities as long as she would duel her to the death. Cassandra took the deal and her training with her mother began. Although Batman and Barbara deduced that Cassandra had not given up her death wish away and that it was due to guilt over her murdering Faizul. They began looking into what had brought the death wish back. Her crazy recklessness of training was stopped when Officer Down was called over frequencies of the radio that she had on. It was the commissioner he was shot in clod blood. She had yet another round with Batman in the cave, this time it seemed a bit more intense and personal his training was starting to look more like her mother’s than the Bat’s.

Once her training with her mother finished after long months and she had her abilities back the duel to the death began that night on a roof top in Gotham. Even though Barbara did not want her to go and continued to protest it to the Batman, he allowed her permission to do the duel;, she lost fairly quickly and was killed when a shot to a never cluster near the heart. She was brought back to life in a temple devoted to her Mother and fought her once more thus time with her Death wish was satisfied, she died already. She had payed her debt fro killing a man. Cassandra faced her mother once more and was the first to defeat her mother Lady Shiva in martial combat. Though it was short lived when Bruce Wayne was in jail in suspsion of murder. During the investigation of the murder she discovered that Batman was Bruce Wayne. The same person. They were able to point out Bruce ways innocence , and put her father David Cain behind bars. Cassandra left Gotham for a year handing the Bat girl Title to Stephanie who used Bat-chick stating that Batgirl was Cassandra. She returned months later to see Wayne manor empty, she stayed under Alfred’s care slowly learning the long process of reading and writing.

It was during one of her patrols however that Deathstroke, who had been planting seeds of doubt in her mind for some time over how much her adoptive family actually cared about her. He managed to not only inject her with a controlled dose of his serum but influence her enough to join him in a plan to form an army involving David Cain's 'daughters'.

Slade's influence Cass gained control of a part of the League of Assassins, assassinating Nyssa al Gul in the process, as well as becoming a member of Titans East. As leader of the League of Assassins she also attempted to kill Kara Zor-el in an arranged hit against her and masterminded the escape of David Cain from prison;. Though she was attempting to frame Timothy Drake for murder and lure him away from Batman in the process. She eventually was freed from the Serum’s influence when Timothy Drake injected her with an antiserum.

However, she went on her own due to suffering from effects of the drugs she turned to a drug named Pheno before coming to her senses and returning back to the bat-family. Batman (Bruce Wayne) allowed her to return after a strict detoxification program, and curfew. Though the obers where not so accepting with the mistrust from what had happe ned she was planning revenge on Slade and her Father for drugging her ,The whole ordeal helped her be cleared from the suspicion of Slade and her fathers influence .




Writing Sample:

Cassandra sighed as she walked down the streets of Gotham yawning silently as she stopped a cross walk. The woman well teen had snuck out of the Wayne Manor wanting to explore during the day the life of the city. It had been a while since she had seen the day life of Gotham but no matter a few ours out and about would do no harm right? Or was she wrong. Cass ran her fingers threw her straight dark brown hair sighing as she scratched the back of her head before crossing the street when the white man appeared. Cass was wearing some black skinny jeans, with black shoes, a white long sleeve T-shirt, as her brown eyes traveled up to the sky as she walked before looking at the body language of the people around her. It was all so different. So natural to them. They were normal.

She was born and raised as the perfect body guard, to kill. But turned her life around, deep down she wished she was normal, but new that would never happen. Cassandra wanted to help people from saving the commissioners life back then and becoming batgirl. It was her life calling in a way despite that she could easily be mentally manipulated from the way she was. Cass could talk, but choose not too often, for when she did it was broken sentences, with pauses the wrong words used often. She was easy to get to use the drugs sold on the street, narcotics and psychotics. Though after her last detoxication program and curfews, she really did not want to go through it again at the moment.

Cassandra stopped by a ice cream shop and walked inside buying and cone of chocolate ice cream not speaking but pointing then paying the man before walking out. Right now was her time for a bit before she would head back she wanted to eat her ice cream and walk. Though Cass had a feeling that someone would notice she was not in her room or where she should have been. More than likely her fun would be cut short by someone from the Manor to take her back. Cassandra licked her ice cream in a circle before biting down as she turned her head to look at passing cars and people before turning to a woman who was with a man and crying she then started to read the woman only to find sorrow.

Everything was so different everyone acted different some laughed others seemed to be talking all around her as she took a bit out of the cold soft chocolate tasting ice cream. Cassandra made it down to her ice cream cone as she took a bit into it before walking down into an alley and sitting against a wall as she looked out at the street trying to hide in the shadows. A place she knew, the shadows it was easy to see, but hard to be seen a place for an assassin was there.

It was easy to not be seen or heard but hard to hide from a Bat who knew the shadows as well, after she took the last bite of her cone Cassandra stood up as started to walk through the alley to see where it would lead. ” One… Two…” she took a few steps before speaking again ” Play.. game…..threw” she said to herself before sticking her hands in her pockets as she stopped looking up at the sky before the ladder beside her that lead to the fire escape which lead to the top of a building.
It was too tempting, Cass grabbed on to the sides of the cold rusting metal and started to climb up the ladder then run of the stairs smiling lightly as she made it to the top of the building she walked over the edge and sat down letting her feet dangle off as she watched the people and cars below, honking horns and chatter was all below her, a bird’s eye view of the city.
