Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

She had an impression to make after all. One last touch up on her makeup and Eve was calling the driver to come and get her, because she had money now and could do those sorts of things. Landing the job at Wayne Enterprises had been the greatest thing to happen to her, only followed by the promotion to head of the biggest branch of the company, and the rather impromptu promotion of just head of Wayne Enterprises that came with it, as her boss was essentially AWOL half the time, and Lucius Fox had retired after that mess where Gotham had almost been blown up, the third time. But she had survived all of that to find herself where she was now, taking care of most of the day to day works and being the representative for the company in many of the proceedings, whenever Mr. Wayne couldn't make it to something, he sent her in his place, and she was fine with that. Tonight she had to be at a dinner with Tony Stark, who was apparently the biggest name in business in the other world that had popped up. She had spent many a night doing her homework on the company and the man as soon as she caught wind of their existence. The brunette was outside just as the limo was pulling up, and the drive to the restaurant was only a few minutes long, pulling up to the ritzy Delmonico's Steakhouse a moment later. It was one of the highest rated restaurants in Gotham, and if you were going to wine and dine a big wig, you were going to do it there. The maitre d' smiled when she walked in, knowing who she was quite well and showing her to her table. Sitting down, she thanked the man with a smile and told him who she was waiting for, telling the man to show the infamous Tony Stark to the table when he got there, in the mean time Evie ordered a glass of Red Goldridge Pinot Noir, expensive and delicate. I need someone to show me the things in life that I can't find I can't see the things that make true happiness, I must be blind [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: B8B8B8; border: #550505 solid 4px; width: 400px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;]
It wasn't the first dinner date Tony'd had that week and it probably wouldn't be the last. Pepper was fond of scheduling him for boring meetings, so she often thought it was easier on Tony if there was food involved.
And she was right. Mostly.
Although what really helped improve Tony's mood tonight was not the steakhouse that he'd been scheduled to meet at- hell, there were a million steakhouses in L.A. that were ten-times as good as this one. No, it was who he was meeting.
Tony Stark rarely went into a situation without prior knowledge of any kind. He knew that this meeting was about Wayne Enterprises' new department and whether or not Stark Industries was interested in investing in the development of it. Not to mention, Stark did own some real estate in Gotham City- he'd snatched that up as soon as he was able- so that may come into conversation. Well,Tony's brokers and CEO were interested in finding out if the company would be worth Stark Industries' while. Tony, personally, didn't think it would be. Sure, sure, Pepper could tell him it was only his pig-headedness and his stubborn indignation about taking anything from or adding anything to the Stark namesake that bugged him so badly, but Tony had more important reasons for not wanting to meld the Stark and Wayne names.
Like the fact that Stark Industries would always be better than Wayne Enterprises. Hmph.
As it was, however, Tony was not meeting the man that owned the Enterprises, not for this business venture. He was meeting one Eve Amherst, recently promoted to a high standing in the Wayne Industries, and quite the babe if Tony did say so himself. He grinned as he stepped out of the limousine and adjusted his bow tie before the maitre'd, who obviously knew who Tony was because of the crazy universe-colliding-crack-thing, eagerly ushered him inside and led him to his table.
Tony ran a hand through his hair to make sure it was that perfectly-messy look, and took his sunglasses off before he pulled out the chair to his table and tucked his sunglasses into his inner suit jacket pocket.
"Ms. Amherst, I presume," he announced, letting his eyes wander a bit on her outfit before smiling and reaching up to swipe the bottle of Pinot Noir off the waiter's tray as soon as he stepped up. Tony waved him off without looking at him and popped open the bottle himself. He lifted it to his nose and took a whiff. "Mmm, excellent taste. I do enjoy conversing with people that know their alcohol. The strawberry taste of this is simply magnificent." He flashed a toothy grin and reached over to pour her a glass. "Tony Stark," he introduced himself.

The people her brother had a tendency to work for was proof enough of that statement. Eve was sure Tony Stark could get away with doing just about whatever he wanted, she just hoped what he wanted wasn't to take over Gotham. Even with a pretty face like that, she couldn't let him do that. So Stark Industries had a clean energy thing going on that she had to admit intrigued her and the rest of the board for that matter, but Wayne Enterprises had a hand in just about everything. Either way, some sort of agreement between them would probably be beneficial to both companies, even if Wayne Enterprises didn't need any sort of help. A foothold in the other side of this world they had found themselves collided with would be useful at least, but Eve really wasn't looking to make deals if it didn't prove beneficial for her company. It didn't matter to her how suave and good looking Mr. Stark happened to be, she was an accomplished man eater and she hadn't come across her match just yet. Evie nodded, gave him a smirk, "It's a pleasure to finally meet you Mr. Stark, I've heard so much about you. And please, feel free to just call me Eve," Not all of it was pleasant, but it was all interesting, and Eve had to wonder what true and what was just tabloid bullshit trying to sell headlines. The most curious of all though was that Iron Man suit. but that wasn't what this dinner was about, though the brunette was sure she'd implode if she didn't get to fulfill her curiosity on the subject before the end of the night, "Gotta love a man that knows his wine," She said smoothly, taking the glass when he was done pouring it and having a sip, grey eyes closing as she enjoyed the way the flavors played on her tongue, subtle and fruity. Leaning back in her chair the brunette crossed her legs as she sized him up slowly, having another sip of the wine, "I hear you've been buying up some property in Gotham lately, how are ya liking it?" She couldn't help getting down to business quickly, the woman was always about business, and if she didn't keep her mind working on other things she was liable to let herself slip. She always had to work to keep business and pleasure separate, and upon another glance of the man, she was sure this was going to be a test of willpower. What are we waiting for? Why don't we break the rules already? I try twice as hard and I'm half as liked, but here they come again to jack my style [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: 8a8a8a; opacity: .7; border: #550505 solid 4px; width: 470px; padding: 15 0 15 0px;]
"Right. Down to business. Very nice." Tony said with a wink as he raised his glass to her before taking a drink himself. Not a sip. A drink. He set the glass back down. "I like a woman who's direct and knows just what she wants." As always, Tony's words were a double en tandra and whether he was actually speaking about the business deal or was referring to something more intimate, remained to be interpreted by Eve.
"I like Gotham. It's got a certain... well, glow to it." He left out that that glow was because it was too dark and sour a city to actually be light and cheery. "I can understand why Wayne Enterprises bases their operations out of Gotham. It's a bustling metropolis." He flashed a grin before taking another drink of the wine, injecting a purposeful yet teasing tone to the word "metropolis".
"However, it can be a bit dark. I've been warned away from certain areas because of my high status where I'm from. But it doesn't seem that the locals mind much. Especially with that dashing bat-in-a-suit that flies around at night. He seems just the right fella to make you all warm and fuzzy inside, doesn't he?" He teased lightly, a chuckle escaping. "I have a feeling my investments are nice and safe with Guano Man stalking the streets."

The woman had a bad habit of speaking in double meanings, but no one ever did seem to mind, and she was sure she had her pair of great legs to thank in part for that. The brunette had to remind herself that this was a business dinner first and foremost, and that she had better settle herself down a little, though that was going to no doubt be easier said then done. He was a handsome bastard after all, just the way Eve liked them. The chuckle that left her was a bit dry at his words, eyebrow raising slightly as she looked across the table at him, "Glow, that's one way to put it I suppose," Definitely not the choice word of anyone that actually lived there though, or that had spent longer then an hour on the street after dark, or went passing through on the way to Metropolis as a matter of fact. No she was sure everyone else likened it more to dark, dreary, and obnoxiously dangerous, she couldn't tell if the man was brave or just not fully comprehending the type of things that went on regularly after dark. "Guano Man, cute, don't let him hear you call him that or he might not come Mr. Stark," She leaned back in her chair, having a sip of the Pinot Noir as she crossed her legs, "Gotham's a dangerous place sweets, there's a lot of bad people with worse connections that don't take too kindly to outsiders that come in flashing cash, doesn't matter how good lookin' they are," Eve was giving him a friendly warning because she knew who these people where, and she knew what they were capable of, he might have fought off aliens according to the news reports, but humans could be a whole new level of sick, and the things that came out of the shadows of Gotham where a whole different breed on their own. "A fair warning, cause I can respect a man who goes for what he wants," She moved to cross her legs the other way, accidentally brushing against his leg as she did so, twisting her body a little to motion over a waiter so they could order before turning her attention back to him, "So tell me, what do ya want with Gotham?" This was the gauge, see if they could work together or if they would end up competing directly. Tony noticed the way she brushed his leg with her own just like he noticed the way she spoke in ambiguous terms with hidden meanings. In fact, it was much like how he spoke... only hold the snarky grin and the mischievous look in the eye.
He could appreciate that, though. A woman who could keep up with him... well, that was rare. Hard to find and when he did find it... Tony couldn't help but pounce on the opportunity. It presented him with a challenge and curiosity won over good judgement.
"Is that how you feel about... good-looking outsiders?" He was smiling as he took another drink of the wine. He held the glass securely in his palm, the stem of it between his index and middle finger, and swirled the liquid inside of it slowly. "I'll be sure to warn the next one I see." He winked at her and took another sip.
"Thanks for the advice, Sweetheart," he replied to her warning. "And I can certainly appreciate a woman that knows just what she wants," he added.
When the waiter came over to take their orders, Tony just asked for whatever was the special of the day. He didn't really care about the food anymore. His attention had been drawn to something... sweeter.
"What do I want with Gotham?" Tony repeated once the waiter left. He raised a hand to his chin, scratching his beard for a moment and smiling. "Well that seems to have changed as of this meeting," he said seductively.
"I never knew how classy the crowd here could be." His eyes drifted down her dress before refocusing on her face. "I came for the real estate. But I think I might stay for... the real estate." Yeah. It was cheesy. Yeah, he was hitting on her. So what?
He was Tony Freaking Stark.

It was definitely her city, she was one of the people exalted to the highest standards through perseverance and hard work, lifted high enough that she could rub elbows with men and women with more statues and power then she could dream of. She simply smirked in acknowledgement of his thanks, having another sip of her wine and looking up at him from over her glass as she did so. Eve glanced up at the waiter, ordered the American red snapper with a charming smile and a thanks, handing the man the menu and watching him leave before training her full attention back to the man across from her. And the smile that crossed her lips was downright dangerous, she hadn't meant to get drawn into this game with the man, but Evie couldn't see the harm in it. "Gotham has a lot more to offer then people give her credit for, just gotta know how to get it," Leaning on the table, her grey eyes were dark with a level of playfulness and something else, his cheesy words were almost endearing in just how damn cheesy they were. Eve had learned to master this game a long time ago, though it looked like she had met her match, well then things could only get more fun from here if that was the case, "Not that you'd have much of a problem, you seem like the type of guy that knows just how to get it," Another sip of her wine, "Your move Mr. Stark, think you can even make it through dinner?" It was a teasing smile this time, sure that her intentions had been made clear by that point without being totally vulgar. "Or are you the fast forward to dessert type of guy?" He had definitely managed to peak her interest and Eve wasn't the delicate type to sit and wait for the guy to take his sweet time. Not when her interest was this high, not when it looked like it could be all types of fun. The brunette gave him a look that was almost daring, she was having too much fun now. "Your move Mr. Stark, think you can even make it through dinner?"
"I was just about to ask you the same thing," he quipped with a smile that matched her own. God, he loved this game. It was especially fun when the opposite team knew how to play it just as well as he did. And boy was she a player.
He caught the dangerously sly smile that accompanied her words. Her dark eyes were looking at him from under her thick eyelashes. She knew just how to work it- every little bit of it. Gotham had done well with this one.
"Or are you the fast forward to dessert type of guy?"
Oh man was she testing the waters. Just dancing on the shore of the ocean, waiting to get swallowed up the shark; and the thing was, she was doing it all on purpose. She wasn't a shy kind of girl or a delicately modest one. She was very forward... and Tony couldn't help but rise to the challenge.
He loved a good challenge.
"Depends on what's being served," he replied. Mischief sparked in his brown eyes. His eyes trailed down her body again, taking in all her curves, before he looked up to meet her eyes again. "But I'm definitely liking the menu tonight." He leaned forward, copying her exact stance, and grinned wide. "How about you, Sweetheart? You got somewhere to be or do we have the whole night to ourselves?"
