Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] People were staring at him. Some looked ready to faint, others like they had seen the most amazing thing in their lives, but, for the most part, he seemed to be getting a lot of displeased glances. Like they were bidding him with his eyes not to cause trouble- like they were used to unsavory sorts, of various shapes and sizes, causing trouble for them in this less-than-typical city. Perhaps the ratio of those who found aliens surprising, and those jaded by all the freaks Gotham had to offer was a tilted quite a bit in the latter’s favor. No matter- Sinestro wasn’t there to attract attention, even if he seemed to be prostrating himself in the city center.
All he had done was gracefully drop out of the sky, surrounded by a bright green glow, in the middle of a busy street- what was show-offy about that? They were all being quite rude for staring at him in the first place, by all accounts.
Had he another ring, he might have done something about it.
No, he didn’t care what they thought about him, whether they thought he was a hero or some kind of new threat. He just wanted to see the full extent of where he had been trapped. If he was doomed to be incarcerated within the limits of, in his mind, such a small planet, then he was at least going to do a bit of exploring. His ring was a vat of information, but it didn’t compare to actually looking around at the sights himself, even if he did find human technology poorly developed and far behind the times when compared to the rest of the universe.
Perhaps that was the old anthropologist in him- always wanting to know about old, out-dated things like current human culture. Their buildings were, at least, interesting to look at. It was clear their kind had more interest in appearance than functionality.
Most of the buildings on earth fell with a single ring shot- he had spent enough time playing with the landscape to have figured that much out on his own. His pervious battles on earth gave him some small knowledge of their culture and poor building design. Still, even if he had been on earth in the past, he had never granted himself an opportunity to actually… sight see.
How low had he fallen? A green lantern and a tourist? Someone needed to shoot him.
In the meantime, he could at least find some silver lining along the miserable cloud that was his current situation. So he began a casual stroll down the street, thankful the humans were at least smart enough to stay well out of his path as he walked. The electrical current sparking green all around him probably had something to do with that, too, though. Anyone who wasn’t paying attention was in for a bit of a painful jolt.
His hands slipped behind his back, one holding the other as he strolled. Perhaps there was something interesting lurking within the sea of tan, squishy humans and horrible earth fashions. Humans were so stupid.
What would the guardians do if he found a way to push past the block of killing people? Banish him AGAIN? Kill him AGAIN?
He was feeling quite confident.
Peering down a side street, the alien noticed five thugs picking on a pair of elderly people. Though they had given their money, the rowdy men seemed to want to toy with them more, one going so far as to strike the elderly man to the floor with a metal pole. That all stopped once Sinestro appeared in front of the men, his expression almost a bored one.
To keep himself from falling any further into his irritating thoughts, he would pound them into the dirt until they begged him for their miserable lives. He would make them so frightened of him, they cried.
As it was meant to be.

She had gotten out of work a bit later then usual, Eve hated coming out this late, especially when she had to park off on the street. The brunette didn't like having to take the extra risk of walking down the dark streets, past the alleyways where bad things had a tendency to happen. Was she afraid? Not really, living in Gotham all her life made her a little desensitized to most of the fear, but she was still very cautious. It was how she survived this long in this dirty, dark city, full of criminals and the dangerously insane.
Running a hand through her loose, wild hair Eve stepped briskly down the sidewalk, briefcase in hand and a keen grey eyed glance at just about every last shadow and alleyway opening. It was like she didn't trust the city itself, like the walls buildings themselves were going to come alive and try and mug her or something. Which was essentially true in the city, unsavory things had a way of popping out of just about nowhere here, and her brother would always remind her that caution wasn't a bad thing, even a little fear, though she wouldn't admit to being afraid.
Still walking with a purpose, she was almost to her car when she heard the commotion, and all reason was screaming at her to keep walking, because minding your own business in Gotham was what kept people alive. But she couldn't, she had to look down the alley to make sure some jerk wasn't cutting across, because people would fly down the alley, and let's just say she had heard of more then one person being made to feel like a deer when they landed on the hood of the car. So she saw the group, and the commotion, and just couldn't turn a blind eye to all of it, no matter how bad reason was screaming at her to leave.
Instead Evie puffed herself up, had already going to the pocket of her coat for her cell phone to dial 911 as she walked down the alley, "HEY! The hell are all ya up to? You better scat before I-" Her words sort of dropped off when she stepped from behind the thugs and saw the tall red guy with the pointy ears and the evil looking eyebrows, "Oh holy shit it's Doctor Satan!" One would think by this point, even after being trapped underground with a big blue gargoyle, that Eve wouldn't have been quite so surprised by certain appearances, but this one made her jump back and reach for the pepper spray, no wonder the hoodlums looked about ready to piss themselves.

Four months ago Maki had a firm grasp on the state of the world. Four months ago she knew who all the major players in organized crime were. She knew their names, their family, their hangouts, but that all changed when another came colliding with hers. In her time serving the Hand she had been witness to a lot of strange events, but this one took the cake. Now there were new cities, new cities just ripe with all kinds of special endeavors. Fisk was top dog in New York City, but how long would that last now that there were so many unknown variables about? That was a question that made the man anxious. Under he own initiative, Maki booked a flight to Gotham City. There was a darkness about the city even in broad daylight. Her first night present and she was witness to at least six different crimes, some more violent than others. It was amazing that a place so crime ridden could even stand.
Then again, there was word of a cape crusader and his entourage beating up criminals under the cover of night. Unfortunately Maki had yet to witness such a thing, but she knew that it was only a matter of time before she did. The woman leaped off the edge of a rooftop and landed across on the other. As soon as her feet were back on solid ground she was off in a sprint to the next. As she traversed the city, something made her pause, something she had never seen before. A red skinned being bathed in a bright, green light descended from the sky. Maki looked on with curiosity as the man casually strolled through the streets. Was this something that happened everyday? Was he part of the new world? There were plenty of strange or extraordinary beings that roamed the land she came from so perhaps he was just an overlooked occupant. She followed him from above observing him from above.
There was something about the way that he moved, the way people tried their best to avoid him out of fear. This man had been through some things that much was clear. Before long, he came across a group of thugs, worthless trash that she would not think twice about. “Well my red skin friend,” she said to herself, “what happens next? Hmph.” A new player entered the game. She was a woman, average in build, nothing that made her stand out. From the darkness of the fire escape where she hung across the street, Maki looked on just as calm as if she were reading a book.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] Sinestro had been more than ready to use them as subjects for the limits of his green ring when he found himself decidedly interrupted by the arrival of yet another human. Unlike both the victims and the thugs, she didn’t seem to have any connection to the incident before him, merely stepping into things in some show of courage. If she was that interested in getting herself beaten up, he wouldn’t stop her, though it seemed the men were more interested in the red alien then the young woman. Actually, she seemed pretty interested in him too, though he had never been called Dr. Satan before. He hadn’t known Satan was a doctor, in all the times he had been called the name. Confused, he tilted his head, watching the woman as the five men continued to stand around their elderly toys.
“What the hell, man?” Hissed one of the thugs, “this Halloween or something? And who’s this chick?”
“Who cares?” Offered another, brandishing a long, rather dangerous-looking knife, “I say we cut them both up. Show ‘em not to mess with us!” The others seemed to agree, showing off their various weapons as they were mixed between glaring at the woman, and glaring at Sinestro. The lantern rolled his eyes. The day thugs realized who they were dealing with, and simply gave up, would be a day worth celebrating. In the meantime, he was just going to have to punish people and let them know, one by one, who they were trying to threaten.
“Well, miss, I don’t know who you are, but I hope you’re not squeamish,” Sinestro said to the third party who had joined them a little late in the game. With that, the men launched themselves into an attack, the first man to speak also the first to throw an attack. He had a pair of brass knuckles, one of which he threw directly at Sinestro’s face. It came to a dead stop against a barrier just in front of him, the man barely having a moment to react before the green light seeped over him and hoisted him off the ground. His hand was instantly crushed, fingers snapping in every direction. His scream of agony echoed through the side street as he was thrown back from Sinestro, crashing into a dumpster with a heavy thud. And all without Sinestro moving an inch. Naturally, the other men were a little stunned. Two more sought to attack Sinestro, who treated them just as casually. A massive green saw wheel appeared in front of them, shooting forward instantly and cutting down low. It took almost all of their energy to leap out of the way in time, and for one, even that hadn’t been quite enough. The saw sliced through his leg, severing it completely from his body. His scream was much more wild and continuous as he hit the floor, rolling around in a quickly growing pool of his own blood. His leg slapped down against the cement beside him, innocently waiting as though it had never meant to be connected to a body. The saw continued on after the attack, shooting dangerously close to the woman standing on the wayside before smashing into a wall and dissipating.
“My apologies,” Sinestro called to the woman, as the last three men decided to cut their losses and make a run for it.
The red alien didn’t seem to mind, a green rope connecting to the ankle of one of the fleeing men, yanking him off his feet and upside down into the air. With an almost nonchalant flick, the man was airborne, wailing in dismay as he was sent several feet high and even further away, slamming into a fire escape relatively close to the other supervisor in the area. Sinestro took a moment to watch the man, his yellow eyes flickering towards the darkness of her hiding spot before he returned his sights to the naughty humans.
The other two men had taken off, halfway down the street. They were stopped dead as ropes appeared around their necks, yanking them both to their knees. The ropes then transformed into appropriately sized guillotines, keeping them both in place and scaring the hell out of them at the same time. Sinestro decided to let them scream for a little while, floating over to the woman. He didn’t seem remotely concerned with the elderly couple, or how much he had frightened them with his display. He was more interested in the random stranger who had decided to try and help.
“Something tells me you are not a hero,” he said rather lowly, his alien accent teetering on something akin to British, “so why did you try to involve yourself in this? Did you think you would get something out of these humans?” She looked like she would have ended up just another victim, but who was he to judge?
Apparently he looked like a villain and he was trying to help people.

Eve probably should have just gone on minding her own business, after all that was what she normally did, it was what she was good at and her tried and true way of staying the hell out of trouble. But dammit she had made the mistake of looking over and the brunette had enough of a conscience that she couldn't bring herself to look away and keep walking. Damn conscience was probably going to end up being the death of her one of these days if she continued on like this. Either way she was thankful it was just a bunch of thugs.........and one Dr. Satan. Ok so she wasn't sure what was up with the pinkish red guy in the skin tight green, but right now the thugs seemed to be the problem here. Eve could throw a punch with the best of them if she had to, and she wasn't adverse to taking one of her heels off and clubbing someone with it if she had to, but none of this seemed like it was going to matter because all the goons had their attention on the pink guy. Which, Eve couldn't really blame anyone for, seeing as how the guy did happen to be red with the evilest looking eyebrows known to man and a glowing green suit on.
The guy......the leg.....Eve couldn't actually form a coherent thought at that point as she watched Dr. Satan form things out of nothing and basically take everyone out like they were trash. The woman had to yelp and all but dove for the other end of the alley when the saw came way too close to her for any sort of comfort, watching with a sense of curious fascination as it disappeared. What the hell was that? What the hell had this alien guy done to these shmucks? Eve had to bite a knuckle to keep the bile from rising in her throat when she realized that she had watched a man lose a limb a moment ago, and worse yet, he was still there, screaming and bleeding out all over the pavement, trying to grab at the lost limb like he'd be able to reattach it himself.
She should have just kept walking. Scrambling to stand Eve found it even harder now that her knees were shaking under her tight pencil skirt, which had been hard enough to move with as it was. Back straight, she brushed some dirt from her clothing, trying her best to push the feelings of fear and disgust somewhere to the back of her mind, skirting past the man on the ground and trying not to pay attention to the others either, instead helping the poor elderly couple up from where they had been hiding and telling them to go call the cops, because the man was surely going into shock by now. The old man looked about ready to have a heart attack and the woman didn't seem to be fairing much better, showing more sympathy for the couple then most people would think Eve was capable of.
Turning on the alien man, she couldn't figure out whether to scream and run or ask him what the hell he was, instead she attempted to puff herself up a little, trying to show bravado since she seemed to be stuck in that gaze, "Just cause someone ain't a hero doesn't mean they shouldn't try to help if they have the ability," She wasn't a hero, not by any stretch o the word, but she wasn't completely helpless either, her brother had taught her enough to get her through a few scraps if it came down to it, "And what are you then Dr. Satan, guys that dismember other guys tend to be a little lax on the moral scale," Speaking of, she needed to find a way to stop that guy's bleeding before he just dropped dead.

I do not see the point in trying to be gentle with those who choose to break the law. It doesn’t seem like the best use of time, now does it?” It didn’t seem like she would be that interested in what he had to say, though.
Like any other human, she had her warped views of right and wrong, stupid heroes planting it into her mind that taking it easy on villains somehow made you the better person. That you had to be above them- noble. Sinestro thought such things were foolish to conceive and even dumber to execute. What difference did it make if you felt you were better than criminals or not? He knew he was better, but not because he let them live. He was better because he stopped them. Truly stopped them. He didn’t let them wander off and go right back to doing their misdeeds. Maybe it didn’t make him look like the nicer person, but he didn’t care about things like that. Other heroes seemed so selfish, worrying about their image and wanting to be seen as just in the eyes of the people. Sinestro just wanted results. Once he established order in the universe, then they could look back on him and realize how amazing he had really been. Until then, he would continue to be the only one really making a difference in the universe.
Even if no one thanked him for it.
At that moment, though, his efforts hardly made much impact on the fate of the cosmos. It was just one thug bleeding in a side street, with one uninformed human trying to help him. Perhaps, just once, he could wane on his own views in light of the mood. He had incapacitated the human, anyway, and nothing he did would change the idiotic and under developed law system of earth. They would catch him and eventually release him. If he died it would be the end of it, but he supposed he needed to at least try and follow some of earth’s inept laws while he was staying on the planet, lest he be plagued by cops trying to hunt him down for the duration of his stay. So he heaved a sigh and raised his ring again, creating a sort of green cast around the missing limb. It stopped the blood flow and stabilized the wound, like it had been closed through several hours of delicate surgery.
“I will hold the wound until the paramedics can arrive, though I do not see the point,” he ventured idly, “it would be better for your planet if such men died. I do not understand why your kind feel the need to try and ‘save’ these beings.” But it was the same with the corps, wasn’t it? No killing. Lock them up and leave them to rot. The methods were just… ineffective. All throughout the universe, people didn’t seem to really see what they needed to do. Why was he the only one with a clear head?
It annoyed him.
Watching the girl, he crossed his arms over his chest, moving over to her slowly. He looked her over, investigating her curves, before arching an eyebrow. “You seem to be a fairly standard human,” he stated, “what is your name?”

"Noooo of course not. And the serial killer wouldn't say he's crazy," Eve shot back, the mild panic of the situation, of potentially watching a man bleed to death on the street had her nerves on edge, and when her nerves were on edge, Eve hissed like a snake. Even if it probably wasn't the best idea to get snippy with the guy that just managed to cut someone's limb clean off with......what the hell was he using? She didn't even know what it was! What the hell was this guy? She should have just kept walking, this is what happens when a person doesn't mind their own business, Eve could hear her brother chiming in already.
"There's a difference between being gentle, being rough, and then dismembering someone and leaving them to bleed to death on the street," There was an amazing level of escalation there, like the guy didn't know how to find the middle ground in something, which at a glance seemed to be pretty spot on, if his actions just a moment ago were something he did regularly, and Eve had no doubt about that at the moment. Eve was looking for something to hold to the man's wound to stop the bleeding when Dr. Satan spoke up again and she jumped away from the sudden green light that he cast on the man, whatever it was she didn't want to touch it.
Although Eve had to admit that she was curious about it, bending from what she deemed a safe distance and squinting her eyes at the light, examining it with sharp grey eyes, "Well unfortunately for what you think, it ain't your call," She frowned, sure there were certain people that she thought didn't deserve to live, the Joker for example needed to be wiped off the face of the planet, she was sure the world would be better off without the psychotic clown but it wasn't her call to make, that belonged to the courts.
Her pride sort of bristled just a little at being called a 'standard human' Eve wasn't a standard anything, but she had been argumentative enough, or so she felt. Either way, maybe it was best to not continue poking least she loose a limb as well, "Eve, yours?" The woman was sure that he wasn't known exclusively as Dr. Satan, though it seemed painfully fitting considering his looks, "And how are you doing that, for that matter?" She motioned to the light, figuring it best to wait for the cops to show up in order to explain everything, small talk seemed like a good idea instead of just standing there in awkward silence with the pink alien man.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] Sinestro frowned, tilting his head slightly to one side. She was certainly an opinionated one, for a normal human being. She seemed very cross with him for deciding to cut this guy’s limb off, and he was starting to wonder if she had actually known the man and was taking things a little personally. No… she didn’t seem upset enough to have known him, and it seemed more like she was just someone who had been passing by than anything else. So then why was she so damn mad at him? It wasn’t any of her business how he decided to fight people, anyway!
At least she wasn’t angry enough with him not to answer his question about her name. How unusual- she seemed like she was quite out-going. Most humans fled from him in terror. This one was sticking around to lecture him.
Intriguing.
“I am Sinestro,” he remarked when she asked him to return the favor and tell her his name. No doubt she would get a kick of it- he was aware that his name was close to a human word called ‘sinister’, which had apparently fit his previous lifestyle quite well. But it wasn’t something he really cared about- the word didn’t mean much to him, as it wasn’t something he had on his own planet. The fact that his name happened to match up to a word in their language was just a coincidence, and didn’t dictate his personality.
She asked him about his abilities, and he took a moment to look at his ring. “Ah- I forgot not all you humans are aware of us. I am a Green Lantern,” he informed her rather smugly, “this ring allows me to create constructs with the power of my will, allowing me bring to life anything I might be thinking about.” To show his power, and prove his point, Sinestro allowed his ring to create a large creature he had recently researched in his free time- a tiger. The large green beast appeared in front of Eve, offering a low, life-like growl. Beyond being a transparent green color, the animal looked completely real, and even seemed to be breathing as it stalked around the young woman. Even each strand of fur seemed perfectly replicated. Sinestro liked to show off with complex constructs- it was something of a special talent of his.
The tiger growled lowly, but rubbed against her lightly, huffing and apparently deciding not to eat her for dinner. Probably because its creator hadn’t made the construct to attack anything, and was only showing what his ring was capable of.
“And what of you?” He asked as the tiger moved freely around, “what do you do for a living? Besides wandering onto dangerous scenes to try and ‘help’ where you can.

Sinestro, he had the evilest looking eyebrows she had ever seen and his named happened to be dangerously close to the word Sinister. Well.....it looked like calling him Dr. Satan was a better fit then she had first realized, granted she was even farther on the fence about this guy then she had been. But what was in a name really? He obviously wasn't from around these here parts, granted, Shakespearean reference or not, she couldn't say the guy was a rose after snipping off some other shmucks leg, whether the guy deserved it or not. She had to agree the guy was a piece of shit, trying to hurt an elderly couple for whatever reason but it wasn't their place to pass judgement.
Alright that was one hell of a power to have, Eve was trying to process all of this quickly, but these type of things shouldn't.....exist, should they? It was the type of thing out of a sci-fi movie. Was it some type of science or something else entirely? She had been seeing weird things lately, things that made her want to reevaluate what she knew, or what she thought she knew about existence in general, but this was currently taking the cake, "So is it......some type of superscience or something.....mystical?" Magic? Her grandfather had always claimed that type of thing blasphemy, it always confused her though, how could the man believe there was some all knowing being that could blink existence into being and not believe in magic? Or maybe this was all just some strange dream she was having, God's way of trying to make her believe He existed.
Because this really couldn't be real. But Eve stiffened considerably, standing stock still at the sight of the tiger because she was afraid that if she made a sudden motion it would attack, even as she simultaneously told herself that it couldn't be real. But it was, it was rubbing against her leg and she could feel it, could feel the rumble of the purring, and she was amazed. Mildly afraid by the idea that that sort of power could actually exist, but more so amazed then anything else, which is why she kneeled down to eye level with the giant green cat, looking it over with a critical eye. Detailed, down to the last piece of hair, "This.........This is probably the single most amazing thing I've ever seen in my life," The brunette was at a loss for words.
"This shouldn't be possible," That was more to herself then anyone else, still scrutinizing the tiger, barely paying attention when Sinestro asked her something. Finally taking her eyes off the.....construct? That's what he had called it, she looked up at him, "Head of WayneTech and unofficial standing CEO of Wayne Enterprises," Someone had to watch the company after all, and she was more then happy to do so, "For the record, I don't normally wander into dangerous situations, but you can't turn a blind eye to something when you know you're looking right at it, and I'm not as useless as I look," She checked her watch, it would probably be another few minutes before the cops actually responded to the scene. You could get a pizza delivered to you house faster then a police response in Gotham, "Where did you come from?" There wasn't exactly very many pink men running around on Earth.

But some say the power source the ring wields stems from a mystical beginning. I do not subscribe to such a theory myself, but I suppose it’s still a possibility if you’re weak minded and like to believe in rabbits actually popping out of hats.” Magic was really nothing his thing. He was much happier thinking everything in the universe could be explained through science and reason, not sorcery. He wouldn’t believe the ring got its power from anything other than will power, even if he couldn’t exactly explain how emotions were brought to light. Literally.
Details.
She seemed stunned by the ring, but he was curious if it was the power, or the mechanics of it that had her so surprised. She wasn’t quite like regular humans. Most marveled at his ring, true, but something about the way she seriously scanned the whole construct made him think she was taking in more than just the sight of a green tiger. She said it was amazing, and that it shouldn’t be possible, leaving both Sinestro and the tiger to scoff at the latter comment. The tiger moved away from her, heading a bit away from them to sit at the end of the street and act as a look out. It would let Sinestro know when the cops were getting closer, so he could make his exit before they happened to catch sight of him there. Cops were pretty annoying.
“Well, you’re only human,” he pointed out, “what you consider possible is very small compared to what actually can be accomplished throughout the rest of the universe. It doesn’t surprise me that this is awe-inspiring for you.” He didn’t say anything in a purposefully rude way, but nor was he trying to be kind, either. Everything he said had a matter-of-fact attitude to it that could not be denied.
Like his was the only opinion that was right.
He let her explain her job, though it sounded fairly normal for an earthling. Though the name ‘Wayne’ was something that made his ears perk. He blinked, watching her a moment, without saying anything about what was going on in his head. He knew a Wayne- Bruce Wayne, the annoying Batman who had been a former enemy of his. But he doubted this woman knew his secret identity. She seemed to be his cover for when he was away, though that didn’t mean she was aware of why. It was probably safer for her to be in the dark, in fact. So he wasn’t about to be the one to spill the beans.
“I am from a planet called Korugar,” he said, using his ring to bring up a map. It started from earth and then shot through space, passing seemingly endless planets and stars until it stopped on a much larger red planet. “It is not very close to here,” he commented, shrugging his shoulders.
“I am here to investigate the merging of the two dimensions. The guardians, those that control the Green Lantern Corps, wish to find out what is going on and why, once again, earth seems to be the center of the mess.”

She had trouble believing that magic was a real thing, a scientific mind after all held little to no want to believe in something that it couldn't figure out how to explain away. And even though Sunday mornings had always been spent at church thanks to her grandmother, Eve could never really believe in the idea of a higher power, just for that same reason. But then worlds apparently collided, and she had to rethink her position on a lot of things that she would have never thought possible in the first place, which was why the word magic even left her lips. Even though mentally she was wincing as she said it. His explanation just made her all the more curious though, and her grey eyes zeroed in on the ring with an almost hawk like focus.
"I don't either, but how is a computer managing to make something physical then?" Eve would have been able to understand if it was a hologram, but there was a goddamn tiger rubbing up against her leg and she was pretty sure she was actually feeling it. Unless of course the shock of the past few minutes was finally causing her to loose her goddamn mind, and the nerve endings were playing a trick on her to make things seem more lifelike. Every now and then Gotham just had to hand her something that made her stand back and question her sanity, "How is it reading your thoughts in order to project this in the first place?"
Oh she was curious, almost dangerously curious. The only reason she wasn't all over him, poking and prodding and basically interrogating the alien over the ring, and the fact that he was an alien, was because he had snipped off a mans limb. And the man in question was right over there, still whimpering in fear and agony and he really did look like the type that deserved it, which was why she wasn't looking him over with all that much sympathy, in fact Eve just seemed more put off at actually having witnessed the act then the fact that it had happened to him. Gotham really had desensitized her to the plight of most other people in the city. Watching the tiger move was fascinating though, and she much preferred to ponder on that, then the fact that she was turning into a cold bitch.
The brunette had to raise an eyebrow at the man, a look on her face that said she agreed, but that she didn't particularly care for his tone, "You're right, I mean, about ten minutes ago I didn't think freakishly tall pink aliens existed either, but ahh.....there ya are," Alright so he didn't sound like he was purposefully trying to be a dick, but Evie couldn't help herself, she always did have a bad habit of showing her teeth. Damn it she really needed to get the snippy comments under better control, she was going to get herself in so much trouble one of these days.
Even if he did come off like a au naturale dick, Eve couldn't help but be amazed at the sight he had presented her with, eyes fixed on the map as it did it's job, "Thats........wow," It was just the slightest bit breathless, the sight was utterly beautiful, yes, but the brunette was in awe that this was another one of those creations, that he could actually make this imagine happen. How the fuck was he doing that? And then there was just the amazement at the fact that there was so much more out there that her race didn't know about, "I'd imagine not, we might not be a very advanced race by your standards, but some folks have a keen enough eye to spot other planets if they're close enough," Eve had to turn a glance up to the sky and just sort of wonder for a second about what was really out there.
"Yeah? Them and everyone else, Dr. Satan," Evie just couldn't help that nickname, he really did look like the devil in a nutshell.....well, maybe a bit more pink, "Ain't we just the most troublesome bunch down here?" She had the look on her face she used to get when her grandmother would point out her shenanigans, breezy and almost cheshire, "I doubt you'll be gettin' anything out of shmucks like him, word is though a not so funny clown had a hand in it," The underworld loved it's gossip as much as anywhere else, and her brother always had an ear to the ground, information that he passed off on her just because he didn't have anyone else to talk to. She could hear the sirens finally coming off in the distance and looked over at Sinestro, "Right, there's Gotham's finest, and I doubt they'd take too kindly to an angry lookin' alien," Eve was giving him an out, though she didn't know why she was sticking her neck out for the guy, he was a bit of a dick after all.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] "I can't tell you everything," he informed her without hesitation, though he wasn't too surprised by her questions. It was only natural to want to know more about something you didn't understand, right? But his ring was highly advanced, and highly secret. Some things were only intended to be learned by the users who wore them, and not by civilians such as her. Regardless, he could appreciate the desire to learn. Better than deciding to fear it because it was strange. "The ring is bound to the person who wears it. Just how it works, and why, are for the chosen to find out. It wouldn't be wise for me to tell you more than that."
Sinestro arched a sharp eyebrow at the female. she was gruff and snarky, and seemed to be somewhat quick-witted for a human. It didn't seem as though she was that interested in taking guff from anyone, including tall, intimidating aliens from another world. Perhaps he could give her a bit of credit for that, though it was also highly dangerous for her to be so strong-headed with someone who really could have his constructs rip her apart for the attitude. Still, he didn't feel inclined to use his ring against her- it was almost too enjoyable seeing the way her eyes lit up whenever he created a new construct. Somehow, he appreciated that, for once, someone wasn't looking at him like some kind of enemy. Granted, it was probably because she didn't know anything about his past, and she would have run screaming otherwise, but why look a gift horse in the mouth?
She was even offering him the chance to leave before the human rescue forces arrived. Though he had heard the sirens long before her, he hadn't made any more to run away- wasn't really his style to flee. Now that they were close enough for her to hear them as well, however, he imagined his time really was running short. The idea of chatting with their law enforcement did remain something he wasn't looking to allow. They would likely just start shooting at him, figuring an alien autopsy would be the safest measure.
It amused him that she sought to help him, and he wondered how he might repay the small effort. Leaving her there to try and explain what happened to the cops was probably fine, he imagined she wouldn't end up shouldering any of the blame, but he didn't feel like giving her the extra work. Let the humans figure out what had happened on their own- they were supposed to be detectives, right?
They would manage.
"I suppose you're right- they wouldn't really know what to do at the sight of me," he replied, though he wasn't sure he was too keen on the new nickname she had decided to call him. "I should be going." But he decided not to go alone- he floated in the air and moved towards her, grabbing her by the waist from behind and hoisting her into the air so he could escort her from the area as well.
He had the ability to sense fear- he knew she was afraid of heights. He had known that before lifting her off the ground. But he was also kind of an asshole, and he didn't care if he made someone afraid. As long as they weren't whimpering when it was important, a little fear still made him feel like he hadn't completely lost his edge. It was almost amusing to do it, knowing she wasn't going to react well. Like he was pulling the first prank he had pulled since... well, ever, really. Shockingly, having fun wasn't at the top of his to-do list.
He still managed to smile to himself as he lifted her into the air, taking her from the scene of the crime and back towards some other, more populated area of the city. Gently, he deposited her back on the street, ignoring the people around them as he offered the woman a slight nod. Though he was no longer smiling, there did seem to be a bit more light in his eyes, like someone who was failing to hide just how amused he was.
"Perhaps we shall meet again, Eve," he said rather indifferently, "though the next time we meet, I will endeavor to keep all limbs in the area attached. Farewell, until then." he offered her a slight wave before turning in mid-air and shooting off into the sky like a big show off. She had given him something of a lead, which he hadn't been expecting. He would have to look into that.
