Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

Bane wasn’t stupid, he had made sure that he had the resources that he needed within gotham, he had the man power for what he needed he simply needed the batman to make a mistake, he had men on the inside that had faked their way into the asylum and that was the most important thing, the fact that he would be able to acquire the weaponry that he needed to escape this place, yet that would not be yet, he was not looking to attract that attention of the batman yet. He was not a coward but he was not a stupid man yet only someone that was an idiot that would look to fight the batman fairly.
No Bane would use his brain and the situation around him to be able to benefit, the amount of enemies that the batman had made for himself meant that he would be fighting many villains if people escaped from the prison, escaping from here didn’t look like it would be a problem compared to the last prison that he had escaped from he got the feeling that the part that would be hard for the man would be the fact that he was not completely sure that his plan to secure venom would be fool proof, despite the fact that it was coming into effect today, it started with the man that came and woke him and told him that breakfast was on it’s way, one of his own men, he knew that the man might not have been the best agent for him but it Bird might have been a better ally than Zombie and Trogg but he knew that all three feared him and he knew that he would get what he needed.
As the guard brought his breakfast he couldn’t help but supress the smirk on his face when he was uncuffed, three quick blows and the man was down, the fact that it had been that easy had almost been pitiful but he knew that it wouldn’t be that easy to escape the prison, leaving his cell he ran into Zombie who quickly gave him a gun, it might have been a more crude weapon than his own strength that had been supplied to him through the venom serum but it was better than nothing, a couple of shots and Zombie was wounded he knew that he couldn’t let the only man be safe was his own and he knew that Zombie would understand that, walking down the line of cells he knew that he would not be out of the woods yet and he would have to get out of the place still. Walking out he took pot shots at other members of staff before being confronted with guards and guns, knowing he was out numbered he threw the gun at their feet and put his hands behind his head, they might take him back to his cell but now they knew he was still dangerous, it was survival of the fittest and he was the top of the food chain.

Of all the places where Vincent could have picked to work, he would have never considered an asylum. Arkham Asylum, for God's sake, even less. But nonetheless he was here, a door guard, preventing anyone from coming in or out forcefully. Dressed in all black, with a pistol at his hip, Vincent Westpoint knew that he was hiding very conspicuously. Arkham was a government-run place, and he was wanted by the same people for a number of different crimes. But somehow, using his real name, Vincent Wyn Westpoint, he had been able to snag this job. Maybe it was because no one else wanted it. He had been on the job about a week now, and he had learned practically the whole hierarchy of the asylum, through tactics that weren't really conventional. He had been shown the ropes by an older government guy, and all the people in the cells seemed small and shrivelled, nothing of worth, really insane and competely out of their minds. But there was this one guy, he was truly a vicious-looking man, tall and his face covered by a mask. Vincent had asked, and been told that the man's name was Bane. He was a dangerous super-criminal. He had been one of Batman's enemies, apparently. he was clearly a big figure in the prison, and as the days had passed Vincent had kept a close eye on him. It seemed as if Bane was the alpha of this place, and the chupacabra-were had quickly realized that about a quarter of the staff here was under his control. Vincent knew exactly which ones.
vincent knew about his promise to Jong-hui, but he had a really strong urge to go talk to this Bane, converse and learn a few things about being a criminal. He would always be a criminal at the base level, Vincent knew, so whatever he could pick up from this man would be very valuable. He wasn't completely sure about it, though, until the attempted breakout. Bane came very close, but no cigar; the door was heavily-guarded, even more so than everyone thought. Bane was no more than halfway to the door when Vincent heard his footsteps, and the fangs began to grow. They topped out at around four inches long as Vincent spun around and brandished a gun several seconds before all his colleagues did the same. The madman knew he was outgunned and laid down his weapon. Vincent knew the real reason behind this seemingly-futile attempt, though. It was a show of power, that he was still capable of ruling the asylum and the other prisoners. It was probably all a setup underneath the crumpled men, though. Vincent smiled. This was a perfect opportunity. "I'll get him back where he belongs." He had found that over the past few weeks the rest of the clean staff had come to fear him, and so it was easy for Vince to wave the rest of the guard off. Grabbing Bane by his coat collar, Vincent kept his gun at the ready as he led the madman back to his cell. When they were finally there, he pushed Bane into the small concrete room, and closed the bars. "You're famous around here." Vincent quipped off-handedly as he locked them closed. "Well, it just so happens that I am too." Letting his fangs grow again, this time to around six inches, he grinned and licked his chops with a long, black tongue. "I've been watching you for a while now and have thought that you're quite interesting."

Bane wasn’t stupid he didn’t act it and he damn sure didn’t think it every move that he ever made was well thought out and planned even his back up plans had back up plans and he had made sure that everything was going to work exactly how he had wanted it. Yet the fact remained that he was only showing the prison that he was not some insane patient that they could simply shut up and put away by any means, after all he was not a joker who simply liked anarchy or someone that was insane such as Two Face, no he had allowed himself to be captured did the gotham police department as corrupt as it was really think that it could hold Bane for more than a day if he didn’t want it to? The fact that the guards and everyone else had taken to thinking of him as a general just Joe was something that angered the giant beyond belief.
The fact that then one of the men guided him back to the cell that he could easily have walked to himself angered him if it wasn’t for the fact that he was giving off the guise that he had been defeated he would have rung the man’s neck where he stood and that would have been the end of it. Yet Bane was not playing by their rules he was playing by his own and the less that everyone suspected him to be a threat was better for the man. When the guard pushed him into the cell and locked it Bane had been fully prepared to pretend to sleep and actually think of the next move of his plan, what he wasn’t expecting was for the man to want small talk.
“Well done you can understand the concept who people are and how to talk to them, I am sure if you talk to your superiors we can see about getting you a gold star.” He remarked “now if that is all I suggest you leave before I mark my walls with your entrails like the last person who thought that they could attempt to manhandle me as you just did, don’t worry though your time will come soon enough.”
OOC: there was a fair part of godmodding in the post due to the fact that Bane is a big heavy dude he wouldn't move if he didn't want to as there is too much mass but i am fine with it this time as it lead to something.

[style=width:450]((You're right. I'm very sorry. Didn't mean to godmod quite like that. Won't happen again, promise. ^^)) "If I was any more a man, I would be genuinely scared." Vincent was good at keeping his calm during times like this. In some ways Bane reminded him of a big bully, but underneath the bone that was his skull the big man was cleverer than he looked. That was the one of the two things that Vincent was sure of at this time. The other thing he knew was, that Bane could probably leave whenever he wanted. Why was he still herw then? If Vincent was in his place he would have broken out of the loony bin years ago, or better yet, never allowed himself to get caught. What were Bane's motives anyway? "But since I'm not fully human, I am looking forward to that showdown, thank you." Realizeing jist how big Bane was, Vincent took aglance down at himself and compared them. He shouldn't have been able to pull Bane along like he had, come to think of it. Now that it had come to his attention his arms hurt. He had to shake a hand out, his gun hand, right, and shrug his shpulders a bit. Still he warily eyed Bane. The man wasn't happy, but in a way it made Vincent happy.[/style]

Bane didn’t care if this guy was the second coming of some god or if he was a god damn pixie toting children’s story character the fact was that Bane was the one that was running the asylum just most of the people didn’t know it yet the fact that he was such the dominant force that he was meant that he had been able to intimidate most of the people within the prison into doing what he wanted and the fact that he had Zombie running around well not so much now as he had been shot he knew that even more people would fear him. He didn’t know who this guy was as he didn’t talk to the other members of the asylum and the other members of staff weren’t in a rush to be doing anything with Bane due to the fact that they liked living too much.
“You know you shouldn’t really give away any secrets to an opponent whether they seem weak or not, for all you know I have another weapon in here which I can kill you with and then escape to my freedom.” Bane said the tone was even and cold but the fact that he was being deadly serious would not be lost on the other man, Bane didn’t speak a lot to people he didn’t think where worthy this man being one of them. Yet the fact that the other man talked to him meant that he had responded. “Yet I would warn your colleagues that there is a storm coming and that these bars and your men can do nothing to stop it.” Then the bomb that Bird and Trogg had set off in the back of the cell blew the wall at the back of the cell open. “Told ya.”

Vincent couldn't stifle a belly laugh. "Secrets? Did I say something that you consider to be something I should keep a secret? Especially to a man with so much similarity to myself?" He looked down and shook his head, walking nonchalantly across to the other side of the hall, and leaning against the opposite wall. "And who said that I'm your adversary? That those men are mine? Yeah, I suppose you could kill me right here and honestly I wouldn't give a damn. I've lived longer than you. But I have a feeling that today isn't going to be my dying day." Vincent thought about all the times he thought he was going to die in the last fifty years. There hadn't been many but this time definitely didn't seem like one of those.
The blast was totally unexpected on Vince's part. It was a good thing he was on the other side of the hall, or else the explosion and the cell bars, torn from the wall, would have hit him full-force. The chupacabra-shifter put up his arms to protect his face. The air became filled with dust, and it made him cough. Instnatly his thought was, Of course it was a setup. I was right all along. "Sh*t," His body coated with gray dust, Vincent's eyes turned yellow, in order to see better through the mist-like air. If Bane ran, Vincent couldn't decide wether to pursue or stay where he was. It was a conundrum, Vince's honor against his criminal background against his sense of duty.

Bane wasn’t stupid having the men that he had he had been able to get the way out that he had wanted, he had been able to work with them and it had been something that he had to think about, the fact that he had to be the best at what he did and he got the people in around him that benefitted him, it was something that he had done with speed and skill something that he was proud of because it had shown that he had been smart enough to get the plan that he had wanted and it had been working well. “I don’t care who you are or what you do everyone in my way is my adversary and it is you that seems to believe yourself important and that is why you are against me and when I bring Gotham to ashes you will fall like the rest.”
As the wall had been blown he had smirked when Trogg unlocked him from the cuffs that he had been placed in before injecting the monstrous man with the venom serum that gave him the strength and power that he had not that he needed to have the drug in his body to be strong but he knew now that he was full of venom there was nothing that could stop him, walking down the corridor he took the gun from a downed officer and shot the officer he took the gun from, then he carried on down the corridor taking out guards on his way.

Vincent growled and cursed again, shifting in mid-air as he leaped forward, palms- now paws- first. The change only took a total of about five seconds now, down from thirty eighty years ago. His first instinct was to warn the others outside, and then turn and fight. Since he was so indecisive, he'd just follow that. Bane would probably kill him but Vincent could try and see how he fared. Bullets flew around him as he outran Bane, streaking by beside him and getting to the door first. He got hit a couple times in the shoulder, but it didn't even slow him down. "IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE, AWAY FROM THE DOOR." He roared to his fellow guards outside. They nodded as their eyes got as big as saucers, and scrambled away, to safety. Keeping going, Vincent sped about nine feet away from the entrance to the asylum and spun around one-eighty degrees to wait for Bane. Every muscle of his trembled. He wanted to just bolt back in and confront him here, but Vincent knew that the beast was better out here in the open. Now it feels like I am going to die. Vincent thought grimly. Oh, what the world is coming to, I don't know. What I'm coming to, I don't know. I'm eighty years old. If I live to one hundred, I want to go throw myself over a cliff and hope that I die.

Bane knew that the way that everything that he had planned had gone the way that they had wanted it, he was pout of the cell he had venom running through his veins and everyone knew exactly what was happening he doubted that there would be anyone that would be able to stop him by this point, the fact that he was that smart and fast on his planning that there would be very little planning put together for them to be able to stop the dangerous mercenary he doubted that they even knew to the degree of what he was doing and what was happening on what Bane’s plan was but the key fact was that he was getting out of this place apart from that he didn’t have many other plans not that there was a problem with that, it just meant that he wasn’t spending a lot of time waiting around.
As he watched the man that was at the cell running he knew that they obviously thought that he was going to force through the front door which was not his plan at all and he certainly wasn’t a stupid man all it took was some simple misdirection and Bane had let those with less intelligence believe what they had wanted and that had been the plan that he had been making. He could use the fact that they didn’t know enough about him to do whatever he wanted, turning he went through the staff entrance to the cells and went back to the hole in the wall, stepping out he stepped into the side street before leaving that way.

He couldn't see past the dark of the door, but they were definitely moving away. Vince's sensitive ears could hear Bane's heavy footsteps, turning back around and making their way back to the cells... And the hole in the wall. A roar escaped the chupacabra's lips as he couldn't help but belly laugh. Oh, man, he had been so right when he had thought that the big man had a brain between his ears. Vincent had fallen for everything; no doubt Bane had known the whole time who, or what, he was. His lookouts probably hadn't had much to go on but they had nevertheless picked up that Vincent was more than he appeared at first glance. Vincent just sat there and laughed, sitting on his haunches, for a few minutes. Sometimes his brawn-over-brains approach got him into situations like this. Most of the time he just went off in pursuit. But this, this was a different thing altogether. Yes, the supercriminal had a thing against Batman, who Vince looked up to, and he would probably go hurt the innocent. But he had won the respect of Vincent's criminal half, and no one had done that in a long time. Eh, he can go. Shifting out of the beast-form, the youthful-looking asian stood straight. He deserves a chance to go and terrorize the world. And I can be ignorant. I have before, and Jong-hui has never come down in a firey power and rage to destroy me.
"By the way, I quit." Before leaving, Vincent glanced over at a guard, still cowering around the side of the asylum. He nodded and his eyes, already bigger than dinner plates, grew even wider. Giving a final chuckle, Vince spun on a heel and casually strolled down the street. "In the future, I have to be a bit more reflective on things at hand," he made a mental note to himself as he started home, disappearing down an alley to shake the tail of any govvies that happened to be trailing him. ((Short thread, I know, but Bane's out of Arkham, and Vince has made an enemy/friend/role model... Complicated relationship lol. My muse sorta blew out after that forst post, probably because of the powerplaying fiasco, that I am still hitting myself over the head for. I just sorta feel that we should end here for now, Bane's a busy guy, anyway, and I need time to formulate Vince's exact details in my head. Maybe someday we can thread them though...? Cause I know Bane at least wants a showdown.))
