Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

She has sent him numerous messages and contacts and has frankly become fed up with being ignored. Why he insisted on pretending to be anything but a thorn in her side she would never know. How had their relationship come to be so twisted and broken. It didn't matter, it was his fault. End of Story.
Soranik soars through the skies at mach 3, she must travel from her mountain home to his under sea fortress. Her home sits nestled at the tallest peak on this miserable planet, Everest, or rather, that mountain scape. A thick green pole juts out of the ground made of some unknown incredibly sturdy material that lifts a globe the size of a small home approximately 2,000 feet higher than the ground it erects from. Inside is where Soranik Lives. It's extremely remote, no where near the actual mountain of everest, lest it's frequent tourists notice it and bother her. It's to close to the mountain to be a problem for air craft, and thus, she is afford some modicum of peace.
But not right now, right now, as she bursts into the ocean, a huge eruption of water and wave in her wake. As she sinks to the ocean floor where her fathers antisocial abode is, she is quite the opposite of peaceful. She is surly and annoyed. This is the time, the moment of moments, she is going to work out some kind of peace with this man here and now even if she has to beat it out of him, or she's leaving the planet and not coming back.
She sails down to through the ocean depths and then slows her decent as she approaches, Ultimately, as she is sinking through the ceiling into his solitary home, she is moving quite slow. Gently she lowers herself to the ground, and waits for him to scold her for what ever it is he might scold her for. He seems to have made a game of picking at her and finding new ways to push her buttons. He is truely a twisted man, but still, reconciliation must be had if anything in the way of progress was to be made.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] Sinestro had found the book Raven had given him very interesting. It talked about the various ways a kitten needed to be treated, going into depth about how to raise one. Just what Sinestro had needed. It mentioned at several different times that kittens needed to keep stimulated- they needed to play to practice their hunting and sharpen their skills. Since little Sora didn’t have another kitten to play with, she would have to settle on some small toys that Sinestro had found for her. She seemed to enjoy them, a small purple bean bag in the shape of a duck being one of her favorites. She liked to take it in her little mouth and toss it around, running after it like it had come to life and escaped her. For the most part, Sinestro enjoyed watching her play with it. The only time he got involved was when the kitten seemed to lose track of the toy, at which point he used his ring to lifted it slightly and shift it around. The swirling of small beans inside the plush always seemed enough to regain her attention.
He let her do her own thing as he worked on his various projects, digging up information on the item they had been sent to find while also looking into the various ‘hero’ groups to see what the two dimensions had been up to since their joining. Though he knew Soranik had been trying to get in contact with him, he was disinterested in returning her communications. Perhaps he was just more interested in his own work and looking after the kitten, or maybe he was still annoyed with her. Either way, his mind was not invested in the idea of seeing her any time soon.
After finishing a bit of research, Sinestro got to his feet, taking a moment to work some of the kinks from his back. It was starting to seem like he was getting too old for this kind of thing. Eh, he just didn’t like sitting down so long.
He would go with that.
Looking at his kitten, he moved to join her, sitting down on the floor as she continued to play with her toy. Much to his surprise, she stopped her assault on the plush and looked at him, the duck dangling from her little mouth. She moved over to her owner, dropping the toy nearby. Sinestro, arching an eyebrow, picked the toy up with his hand and not his ring, gently tossing it away from the both of them. The kitten scrambled to pick it up, playing with it for several seconds before she once again collected it in her jaws and brought it back over to Sinestro. Smiling, the red alien plucked the toy from her mouth again, watching her bound senselessly around for it without a care in the world. He tossed it again, and she went to catch it once more. This time, however, she over shot her destination and tripped on the toy she had been hunting, rolling paws over head before landing on her soft white tummy.
Sinestro actually laughed.
He didn’t seem to notice the small alerts on one of his many computer screens, or the fact that someone had entered his base. His yellow eyes were on the kitten, who seemed to have gotten distracted from her toy with her own tail.

She came in through the ceiling, which meant she would need to come down stairs to find Sinestro. She moved silently, she was trained in the martial arts of Korugar after all, her movements were quite silent. When she came around the corner, she could not believe what she was seeing. It was stunning to see him playing with the kitten in such an innocent manor. She could not understand it. He was the conqueror of Korugar, once billions of life forms had bent to his knee, he had created and destroyed an entire Corps of Lanterns. How could he be doing this thing she saw him doing? Surprisingly, she was not so gone in confusion that she couldn't think. She was not so broken that she didn't realize that perhaps all along his endearing comments towards her had been genuine and she'd been to blind by hate for him for what he has done rather than who he is to realize it.
She suddenly found herself feeling incredibly insecure, as if her world was crumbling around her. She wraps her arms around herself and leans against the door frame. She was still ever silent, watching, breathing smoothly. She'd come angry, but the bus load of emotion she'd just been hit by had smoothed her out, calmed her down. She was simply entranced by watching such a simply thing as what was before her. Her father playing with a kitten. Little did she know the kittens name, such information would've probably brought tears to her eyes.
She barely even knew why she came any more.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] “What a silly thing you are,” Sinestro said faintly to the small animal, though he knew she could not understand him. Even his ring could not translate his voice into something the kitten would be able to comprehend. He watched the kitten roll about on her back, swatting at his fingers as he wiggled them just above her. Her tiny claws, even as they caught his skin, could do nothing to harm him, much too soft and underdeveloped to be painful to someone like Sinestro. He smiled gently, his expression softer than anyone would have been able to claim seeing from him since his time with Arin. It had been years since he had seemed anything other than emotionless, and even he knew it. But there was something about a small, innocent kitten that made it feel alright to just relax for thirty seconds. Not worry about appearances. Who was she going to tell?
Apparently, she didn’t need to tell anyone- they could see it for themselves.
Sinestro finally picked up on the presence of another, his ears flicking slightly as he turned his head towards the entryway. Much to his surprise, and secretly to his horror, he saw his daughter leaning in the doorway. He couldn’t believe she had shown up in the one minute he had decided to play with his kitten. The whole rest of the day would have been fine- how could he have not seen her come in? His eyes shot to the computer screens, which were displaying as clear as day that someone was in the building. Well damn, it seemed he only had himself to blame.
Slowly, he pushed himself to his feet, leaving his kitten to bound around senselessly on the floor, oblivious to the strange awkwardness filling the room. “I did not know you were there,” he pointed out, “you could have been a bit louder about your presence over there.” He wanted to sound angry, like it was her fault, but he was too embarrassed to get the tone out right. In the end, he just sounded flustered.
“What are you doing here, Soranik?”
The kitten, perking up at hearing her name tucked in within all those other words, mewed happily and wandered over to her master, flopping against his foot in a failed attempt to rub his leg.

It wasn't that Soranik had been deliberately trying to sneak around, she just was delicate in her gestures when she could be, she rarely ever stomped. It's just how she had been trained to move about. When she see's her father so flustered, she can't help but smile a little bit, but hearing his voice sober up and begin to carve through the air as it normally does, the smile is stifled quickly and easily.
"I came because you've been ignoring my messages."
Her attention drifted to Sinestro for only a split second, but then floated back down to the Cat, who seems to have made a full recovery, which was nice. She leans away from her observant perch against the door frame and steps lightly over to the cat, she kneels and lifts it into her hands if it'll go. A visor appears around Soranik's eyes as she inspects the cats health to see how well it has recovered. She is glad that it seems to have made a full recovery.
She is starting to feel the boil of anxiety in her stomach, it twists her tummy into knots as she lets go of the rage in this one precious moment. Her father is the last great bastion of transcendence Soranik must surpass to achieve real self actualization. She's endured childhood, adolescence, education, peers, war, love and now she must conquer hatred in order to move on with her life. Frankly, in the face of it, she is terrified. But she wasn't given a green lantern ring for no reason. Over coming fear is what she does for a living now.
"We need to talk."
She offers the cat to Sinestro, not wishing to cuddle it or hold it if it doesn't want to be held, if it didn't mind Soranik holding it, she'd still offer it to him. The gesture was symbolic.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] Right. Her messages. So not only was it his own fault that she had managed to slip in without him noticing it, it was also his fault that she had appeared there at all. It was really annoying knowing he was the only one he could blame for the strange turn of events. Sighing lowly, trying to take a moment to compose himself, he watched as Soranik picked up the cat and gave her a quick examination. The two Soras were both right there in front of him, and suddenly he felt very far away.
Little Sora didn’t seem to mind being in big Soranik’s hands, purring contently as she pawed at her hair, fingers and just about anything else she could get her tiny paws on. She seemed to sense something about her that reminded her of her master. Still, she was all wiggles before too long, wanting out of her grasp just so she could go and play. Sinestro watched as his daughter handed him the kitten, frowning somewhat.
He had embarrassed himself enough by the small beast, and was hesitant to take the creature from her. Regardless, he accepted the kitten, if only for a moment. Kneeling, he put the kitten on the ground, letting her scamper off to play with her little duck again. The kitten took it in her mouth and brought it over to her owner. Sadly, her own did not throw it this time, as he was too busy looking at her namesake to play.
“And what do we need to talk about?” He demanded, taking a step away from both versions of Soranik as he moved over to his computer, “you could have just sent me whatever you may have discovered. There’s no reason for a meeting.” He was uncomfortable, and his tone reflected it. It was the first time in a conversation where he didn’t feel in control- he didn’t have that commanding, sarcastic nature to his voice that normally accompanied every sharp word. Now, he was unsure of himself. Just what was she thinking? That he was losing his edge? Getting weak? He certainly thought those things about himself.
Maybe she just found the whole thing amusing.
He looked at the nearest computer screen, the old information displayed there nothing of importance to him. He had already looked over the research, before getting distracted by the cat, and hadn’t brought up anything new. Still, he looked at it, if only because he didn’t know where else to take his eyes. Slowly, he moved his hands behind his back, straightening himself so he could fall back into his old habits.
"If you have something important to tell me, then by all means, fire away, dear daughter," he said lowly. He was expecting her to get on his case at that point. Tell him that he was not fooling anyone with his 'antics' or something.

She's normally painfully blinded by her rage to see anything in Sinestro but a monster. But life has a way of dropping hints to you when you least expect them. Seeing him with the cat, the tender little beast brought back the slightest sliver of a memory. She couldn't be sure if it was her uncle or if it was Sinestro himself, holding her, playing with her, smiling. She was so young and most of her childhood memories were a blur of faceless images and events that she usually just had to fill in the blank for. Now she isn't sure if she sees her uncles face, the man who raised her with her mothers sister, the parents she'd known as her real parents for most of her life until a few short years ago, or this man. This monster. But he wasn't a monster, was he? How could he be?
"We need to talk about..."
Look at him, so flustered, embarrassed. Evil incarnate does not get embarrassed. Monsters do not blush. Some where buried under all that hate was a nice man. Maybe it was about time Soranik started trying to see that instead of what she'd been raised to see, instead of what she wanted to see. In truth she'd been really selfish. Sure her initial response was quite sane, but over the years, she really hasn't been the best person to get along with concerning Sinestro. Then again, neither has he. He does his absolute best to keep her at arms length? All this time she's never stopped to ask the question.
"Why do you push me away...I reasoned out initially, it was to keep me safe, right? But why now?"
There's more she could say, she could probably yammer on for ages, but she knew Sinestro wouldn't hear it. Best to be as concise as possible, speak your mind, say what you mean and mean everything you say. Because if you don't, Sinestro will eat you alive. She's walked through the last few years of her life with a chip on her shoulder. It was nice having Kyle in her life to bare part of that burden, but now he's gone. She could stand to do some forgiving in that department as well, but that was for another time. Now she desperately needs to find a way to reconcile with Sinestro. Especially now, considering this is probably the only moment she'll have to do it. Once again, against the odds, Soranik has found a way to make something work. She is praying now, silently, that her bets pay off.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] Sinestro frowned, saying nothing for the time being. It was an interesting question, and one he could take a few ways. If he was cruel about it, things could go back to the way they were supposed to be rather easily. It wouldn’t be impossible to make her hate him. But why would he want to do that? Things had gotten so convoluted. Honestly, he wasn’t sure he had a half-decent answer for her.
“It seemed easier,” Sinestro told her lowly, “the nature of our relationship is a curious one. With you so keen on loathing me for the acts of my past, I didn’t feel it necessary to exacerbate the problem by trying to make you think differently. Besides- you brought me a bit of… perspective. You were never wrong about me. You were always my reminder.” He sighed again. Was he making any kind of sense?
“In any case, keeping you safe has not changed. Even if we are on the same team now, my enemies still remain. It will always be better to be at a distance.” That seemed like a less dizzying answer. Maybe the one she was looking to hear, he had no idea. It was difficult for him to explain what was really going on inside of his head.
Turning his head, he looked at his daughter, frowning thoughtfully as he observed her. She looked much more like her mother than she did him. A different skin color, perhaps, but she had her features, most noticeably her eyes. The stubbornness she got from him, but the rest of her traits… she was so much like her mother. And for the better- it seemed like she didn’t need any of his genes. Tilting his head, he took a deep breath, looking back at the useless screen. “I wonder why you ask me such a thing now,” he added with no indication towards what he was feeling, “you are not the most open when it comes to being near me, you know. You don’t exactly pull when I push you away.”

It is something that Soranik has never truly even tried to reconcile until this very moment. She was raised knowing Sinestro was responsible for the oppressive government and terrible schism between the upper and lower classes on Korugar. He was the tyrannical heartless dictator that had killed millions in his coup for control. Then he vanished and left corrupt politicians in his wake to rule. The rich got richer, the poor got poorer and Soranik's bleeding heart suffered through it. She didn't truly suffer of course. She was taken care of, given the best life a person could hope for, but that didn't mean she didn't feel pity for those that were effected. Sons who lost their fathers, mothers who lost their sons, wives who lost their husbands, children who became orphans. It was horrifying. And it was all his fault.
Soranik's facial expression has gone from beautiful curiosity and tentative affection to a dead pan uncertainty as Sinestro continues to speak. His statements, his questions. She wasn't sure how she could cope with them. It takes her time, several moments, before she responds.
"I ask you now because until now, I knew in my heart you were nothing but an abomination on the universe. A cancer I couldn't cure. But now, for what ever reason, my perspective has been changed."
But she'd gotten her answer hadn't she? When she spoke, her facial expressions changed, they went from happy, to hurt, to curious, to affectionate, and now back to empty. He'd said his peace, she was his moral compass, and while he'd never openly acknowledged anything she'd said as anything but a nuisance, this entire time, she'd some how been serving as a guide to offset his own ego to ensure he wasn't going to far off into the deep end.
Beyond that, he is still interested in keeping her at arms length. Soranik isn't sure how she feels about that. She is a woman after all, a woman desperately in need of affection. She has turned so much hatred inside on herself. She has spent countless sleepless nights crying in agony of heart break. In the simplest of ways, being paired up with Sinestro was very nearly the straw that broke the camels back. The wound Kyle left in her heart had been too much. She looks so much like her mother, yes, but she has her fathers approach to emotions. All this time, she's kept all this pain bottled, she's soldiered on and ensured she did what needed to be done.
But she isn't as strong as Sinestro is. Not by a long shot, and if some kind of peace hadn't been reached after this final meeting, Soranik would've gladly handed her ring in. Wounded pride is a small price to pay for ones sanity. In the end, it would not have been the right thing to do, but when you are lost and suffering, easy becomes right, and right becomes wrong.
"But you've given your answer, and it will suffice. You wont receive any more undue insult out of me from now on Sinestro. If I could get copies of all your research, maybe it's about time we made some real progress on this."
She's swallowing the pain again and it hurts her to do it. She fights furiously to keep it from showing. She throws up a miserable facade of deadpan reason and business like obligation, but it still hurts and it'll keep hurting for a long time. It would be painfully obvious to Sinestro too, every little lip quiver between spoken words, the emptiness in her eyes, the inflection of her voice. She might as well be crying her eyes out in rabid hysterics. But she would never do that, not in front of Sinestro, not in front of any one. Instead she'll do what she's always done. Burry herself in her work and hope for the best.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] Sinestro felt it- he could feel his emotions stirring with in him, in a way he hadn’t suspected them to in a very long time. He felt… sorrow. Guilt. It burdened him that she was upset, and it hurt even more thinking he had something to do with it. Though he had been happy to believe she had never cared about how he treated her, because she had already decided he would never be a father to her, it seemed their shared blood transcended any of their best attempts to hide. She did care. Maybe not as much as he cared for her, but clearly the situation between them had some kind of an effect. As he watched her, he could see she was unhappy. Almost like she was about to cry. Because he hadn’t given her the answer she had been wanting to hear?
What had she wanted him to say?
He didn’t heed her request, not bothering to begin any kind of download of the information on his computers to his ring. Instead, he moved towards her, his steps almost cautious and he brought himself in front of his much shorter daughter. Watching her, not bringing himself to touch her, he frowned.
“I never wanted it to be like this,” he told her, “I agreed to give you up because I thought it would be the best way to keep you safe. I knew what I was going to do would not be popular, but I had believed it best for the planet. All the same, I had never wanted you… or Arin… to suffer because of me. But I couldn’t let you go completely. I could never. Even now… I know it would be safer to cut ties from you completely… but I can’t do it. Despite my best efforts, you are my daughter, and a part of me will always want to be by your side. Protect you.” He sighed softly, moving away from her.
“I remember one day, when you were still very young, you were with your new parents, heading up a steep path to a small park outside of Korugar City. You wandered away from them as they stopped to talk to some friends, and you got too close to the edge of the cliff. I watched, hidden under a robe, as you ventured out of their sight and sought a small flying bug, reaching out over the cliff to try and grab it. I ended up doing the same in that moment. Before I even realized it, before anyone even had a chance to scream out your name, I had sprang over the edge to grab hold of you, shielding you with my body. I had been in such a rush I hadn’t even thought to use my ring. We had fallen, but I took the brunt of the damage while you were clinging to me. As I lied on the ground, I remember thinking how happy I was to be able to hold you again. But then I had to let you go, before anyone could see me.” He shook his head. He hadn’t turned to face her since he had started his story, looking away from her at an undecorated wall.
“It was always so much easier to protect you when you were little. When you didn’t know who I was. Now… everything has become so clouded. It seems difficult to know which way to go. And usually I’m pretty good with decisions.”

She was already on the verge of tears, though she had been fighting them. She was so utterly conflicted, she knew showing emotion would probably reflect poorly, After all Sinestro rarely shows the softer emotions of the spectrum. But now he is showing them and Soranik cannot believe how moved she is.
When he tells his story, she can not fight it any more. The emotions are just too over powering for her, tears build in her eyes, and she turns away as they start to fall from her cheeks. The door frame she had been leaning on earlier, she leans on again, this time facing away from Sinestro, slightly hunched forward, with her hands on her face, arms curled to her chest, tears tickle her cheeks, causing them and her fingers to glisten slightly as she sobs as silently as she can muster.
She cannot think of anything to say right now. All that time, he really had loved her, he really had done what he thought was best, it wasn't just a ruse, or a trick or some malicious plot. It had ALL been real and really, all along she had known that, but finding irrefutable evidence to support it was just to much. She felt her knees weaken, it was so intense.
When her family and friends on Korugar turned their backs on Soranik for accepting the ring of the green lanterns, she felt she was truly alone in this universe. She might find a boyfriend some where in the stars to spend her life with. And she did, she found Kyle and for a few years she was happy until he ripped her heart out. And now she's standing here realizing she doesn't have to be a lone. This man does love her and would like to care for her and as dysfunctional and broken as their relationship was, it was still there.
She becomes lost in the moment, time slips from her perception and she simply stares beyond her tears at nothingness as she falls into her own thoughts as they spiral wildly out of control.

For a moment, he didn’t know what he should do. Normally, when people cried in front of him, it was because he had frightened them to hell and they were sobbing for their lives. He had never found anything wrong with that. But this… this wasn’t because she feared him. Was it because she had actually heard him? That she understood him, for the first time? Slowly, he looked over his shoulder, watching his daughter, who seemed to be struggling in the doorway. Swallowing a knot in his throat, he turned towards her, slowly making his way over.
These emotions… he didn’t know how to deal with this kind of thing. Was he supposed to try and cheer her up? He wasn’t much in that department.
Awkwardly, he placed a hand on her shoulder, trying to offer what comfort he could. Though he really had no idea what he was doing, he knew he needed to do something. “Soranik… I… I’m sorry.” He frowned, watching her still. “I… if I could change how things had happened…” He had never really thought that way before- he had never thought he would change what he had done if he had half a chance to. He had always thought he had made the right choice, and that he would do it again to help his home world. But… that was not so true, when he was looking at Soranik. When he could actually see the pain it had caused her. Would he feel so differently if any other Korugaran had been in front of him?
Sighing, he turned from her again, unable to deal with the large scale of emotions he suddenly found himself dealing with. If he let things continue, he might end up doing something along the same lines as his daughter.
“Perhaps you should go,” he said after a moment, his voice faint, “we… don’t have to talk about everything right now. Slow, perhaps, is better with this kind of thing. You need time. I do, too.” He wasn’t looking at her, again, kneeling down at pick up his kitten. Sora had been hovering around them, wondering what the heck was going on. Sinestro pet her, slightly comforted by her purrs.
“You know where to find me if you feel ready to speak again,” he added.

Soranik was utterly lost in her own turmoil until Sinestro touched her. She thought about turning around to hug him but there was this unbelievably painful emotional barrier inside her head keeping her from doing it. Luckily he isn't touching her very long, and she snaps out of her frigid chill very quickly. It was all so intense, she couldn't have imagined this was how this meeting would go, but she's been broad sided by a truth that she simply wasn't prepared to hear.
When Sinestro suggests that they take some time, she agrees vehemently. Nodding her head, sniffling furiously, she turns around and rubs her eyes. They are now blood shot, slightly puffy and irritated, her cheeks are glistening with tears, several of which are still trying to drip off her chin and jaw down onto her exposed cleavage below.
"You are right, of course, you're always right... I'll go for a walk or something. I need some air ...I'll see you later...dad."
It was really subtle, but she had to get it out there, she had to tell him some how, some way he was making progress, he has done right by her and she acknowledges it. She can't just simply fail to reciprocate all this emotion, even though it felt a lot like a shotgun blast to the stomach right now, the trained precision decisive mind she has in her head refuses to simply run away from that pain. It must be acknowledged and fostered, even if doing so felt strange and oddly painful but in equally odd ways, felt great too.
As she is saying the word dad she is hurriedly heading towards the nearest wall to phase through it. She wont wait, sinestro would have likely less than a second to stop her if he wanted after she spoke the final word. If he doesn't, she'll phase through the wall and sail up from the depths of the ocean floor into the skies high above to clear her head in the clouds for awhile.

Not since her mother had he ever considered dropping his strong façade and showing that he really could be a nice man. He wanted to hug her- he wanted to hold onto her as he had done so long in the past, whispering to her that things would be alright. She had been comforted then, clinging to him and not even crying about having fallen from a cliff.
He watched her as she agreed with him, nodding slowly and getting herself to her feet. It seemed like she was really struggling with her emotions. He didn’t blame her- though he managed to keep himself together in front of her, within he was having quite a tumultuous emotional roller coaster of his own.
Hearing her call him dad hadn’t helped calm the sea of his feelings.
His eyes widened as he watched her move to leave, his shock great enough to show on his face. Again the urge to hug her had surfaced, and he could no longer keep it at bay. Shooting forward, he grabbed hold of her arm, pulling her towards him as he wrapped his arms around her, holding his close against him. Even though he knew she was a fully grown korugaran lady, it still felt like he was hugging a child. Perhaps it had something to do with being a foot taller than her, or maybe he just wanted to believe it. Either way, he didn’t feel uncomfortable as he held her, though he still only allowed it to linger for a short time.
Sighing softly, he pulled away, turning from her and allowing her to leave without a word. Suddenly, he felt like he needed to get some air as well. Maybe fight some crime. Something to settle him back into a sense of normalcy. He didn’t do well with feelings. Along with pleasure came all the guilty feelings of realizing how much he had made her suffer over the years. It was all much more than someone who had spent the greater portion of his life pushing away his emotions was willing to deal with.
Sora trotted over to him, the Green Lantern picking her up gently. Scratching her head with one finger, he frowned, hoping to keep himself together even once his daughter was gone. Within the silence of his compound, he still felt like it was inappropriate to cry.

It was a silent communication that needed no voice. The gestures, the body language had been enough, the subtle nuance wrote volumes. Soranik felt thirty years of love boil up all at once and yes, it was traumatizing, it was overwhelming, it was numbing. Like putting your hand under a stream of boiling hot water. Is it hot or cold? When Sinestro hugs her, she hugged him back firmly. Did it burn her? Or Comfort her? She could not tell, not then, though later, she would decide it comforted her, for now, she felt lost, as if her own emotions were betraying her.
When he releases her, she stammer steps backwards, sniffling, still sobbing hysterically. but she understands, even beyond all the emotional torrent, she can make the conscious thought to back away, get away, get clear, reign her composure in and think straight.
Maybe that talk they plan on having later will never happen, did it really need to happen? How could they proceed from now. Neither of them are any good at talking about their emotions. Well Soranik was good at it, until Kyle ruined that for her. Maybe this powerful exchange would be enough?
Soranik turned away from her father and moved out of the base at the bottom of the ocean. She was met by the crushing, suffocating depths. But before she could fill her lungs with water, she remembered to activate her homeostasis shielding. She had been -that- distracted by the moment. It had taken her so much to just maintain the sane thought to get away and clear her mind. She'd forgotten to put the shield up.
How ever, with it up, she left. she soared to the ceiling of the ocean and burst through it into the skies. After that she just flew. She didn't care where, or how fast, or how high. She was a wild stream of chaos, pointless, endless. She set her mind and body to drift among the clouds.
And this is where she would be for the next few hours, as she unwound from the powerful life changing experience she'd just had.
