Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

[/color] Who: Clint Barton, Atrocitus, Dex-Starr, Thaal Sinestro, Iron Man Where: Los Angeles What: The Attack Threads. Clyde Angeles's final part of phase one is now underway and SHIELD is now at risk of falling. When: After the interrogation of Dominique Falcone, it is revealed that something wicked was coming. Notes: There is to be no killing of the main players. For the people who are coming to the aid of our heroes it is up to you to decide how and when they come into the thread to help. Let the games begin! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - [/color] History. It held events of the past though only major. In different locations but at the same exact time separate happenings would occur. While those who slept were cradled in their dreamland across the globe there were people that moved about, buzzing like the drones they were. It would be foolish for one to think that in a sea of billions they actually mattered. For each good deed a person could muster it was often times turned a blind eye. Those who lived lavishly in their millions were recognized for their sin. It was such a twisted world Earth had played out to become. Minds quick to reform, to change, to try something new, bold, and daring revolutionized every single era of man. With century there has been something to marvel from the humans of Earth and it was quite possibly the one astounding feature. Today marked a day that was to go down in the history books, if all is not covered from the public eye. There was a man who had an idea. Clyde Angeles, real estate entrepreneur and scheming billionaire, thought of anarchy and power. He was a human who allowed his pride, greed, and vanity take hold. But he knew his time was short. When a man came forward with an idea of a revolution, it would be his life taken that shows the revolt. It would spread like wildfire soon after as those who were given the opportunity, given the mere thought, would carry it to the end. They would run those who were against them into the ground without a second thought. The Angeles Ball had been a success. Slowly the heroes of the world gathered into one large mansion in Washington DC, either in attending or for the rescue mission. Loki Laufeyson, the demi-god of Lies; Bane, Gotham's cerebral assassin; and Jonathan Crane, the holder of nightmares. Three villians who were involved in the plot to destroy SHIELD from the inside out. After questioning by Malaki Amherst, he had the locations provided by Dominique Falcone to which something terrible would be happening. There was no explanation, just the warning of what she had heard through the grapevine. The Avengers Mansion, an area in North Carolina, Manhattan, New York, Metropolis, and Gotham City. Fury dispatched Captain America to North Carolina, a top secret building laid underground which contained many dangerous objects and people. Loki's scepter was currently housed in the facility. Amelia Smith was dispatched to Metropolis, home of Superman. Natasha Romanov was dispatched to Gotham City. Clint Barton was dispatched to Los Angeles. Danii Washington was dispatched to the Avengers Mansion. Sharon Carter, Michael Morbius, and Johnny Storm remained on the Hellicarrier. Bradley and Vaughn had been dispatched to one of the main research areas in Manhattan. Jerry Tucker was currently present in Texas, servers went down at another SHIELD location the night before. Zara was still present in Gotham's Arkham Asylum. So far everything seemed normal. Their orders were to investigate every inch of the location they were given, look for anything that seemed out of the ordinary and if something did occur then they were to report to Fury immediately. What are we waiting for? Why don't we break the rules already? I try twice as hard and I'm half as liked, but here they come again to jack my style [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: 8a8a8a; opacity: .7; border: #550505 solid 4px; width: 470px; padding: 15 0 15 0px;]
"Look, I'm just saying that it should be more... mmmm.... out there. Where people can see it. Unobstructed. You know, like a billboard should be? No, I know what Ms. Potts told you. Do you know who you're talking to right now? Because it's my face that's up there, not Pepper's. Yes, I'm sure! I think I'd know what my own face looks like!"
Click!
"Hello? Hello? Huh. She hung up on me."
Tony lowered his phone and blinked at the screen. It wasn't often that people actually hung up on him.
He ran a hand through his hair and blew up his bangs when they fell back into place. Closing his phone, he slipped it back into his slacks pocket and crossed his arms to frown at the billboard once more.
It was huge and it was eye-catching, which is exactly what he wanted, but it was situated in such a way that the light poles on the edges of the streets interrupted it, and just happened to be placed so that both light poles replaced two of his teeth in the picture when you looked at it from the street, so it ended up that he looked like a kid who had stuck Chinese chopsticks under his lip to resemble a walrus.
And that wasn't a look that Tony wanted to pull off. There were a lot of strange things that the Man of Iron could do or would do, as he didn't really have much of a filter, and his ego got the better of him, but fake walrus teeth caused by street lamps was not one of them.
The billboard had just been erected earlier today, and advertised Tony's new brand of cologne, Iron Spice. It was funny to him how, since he and Iron Man had become one, so many people had begun treating him like an even bigger celebrity, even so far as to make a cologne after him. Sheesh. He felt like Usher or something.
"At least that Justice Beaver kid's face is all covered up now." Tony told himself that was the bright side of the situation. He shrugged and turned to walk back into the diner he'd been having breakfast at. It was fun to go to little places and surprise the natives that he would just wander into a street diner of all places.
"I believe you mean Justin Bieber, Sir." JARVIS dutifully corrected.
Tony just shrugged. "The point is, he's gone and I'm here." He slipped back into the booth he'd left and sipped at his coffee.
Some nights I wish that this all would end 'cause I could use some friends for a change |

Everything was different Cassandra had walked out of her Hotel room and into the elevator wearing some black cotton tights and a grey skirt with a black long sleeve shirt and pair of black cozy warm boots. She sighed and she ran her finger's threw her long wavy almost straight hair.
Alfred had picked out most of her clothing now, skirts dresses less jeans, It was different at least he could pull this off she pulled her phone from her bag as she looked at few texts it was fun to be away from Gotham, she was surprised that Bruce even let her leave his home let alone the city. Cass walked down the street watching and reading peoples actions only to catch a glimmer at a billboard and smile. walrus... hahaha she thought as she found a diner and walked in only to see the man in the picture.
Cassnadra walked up to him and smiled then pointed at the billboard."Walwus... you look funny." Her speech was broken and all over the place still even though she had gone through many lessons learning to speak and read, let alone right after never learning it before was harder than it seemes.
Cassandra then moved away and sat at another table getting an orange juice and some toast as she then pulled her phone out again not even thinking the man she called funny looking was a man with money like Bruce, and more than likey a play boy like him as well.
Cassandra took a drink from her orange juice when it came to her table after setting her phone down only for it to start playing some random annoying beep of a ring tone as she placed it down and answered the phone."Yes... I am fine? No... Yes.. Okay. By some walwus face man in a diner... he look funny." She smiled hearing the person on the other end laugh before she hung up and placed her phone back into her bag and sighed.

[atrb=border,0,true] Sometimes Clint could understand Tony Stark and his ego and grandiloquence, but never completely. That was the one thing that Clint never understood in people was their tendency to get a big head and a personality that rivalled God's. It seemed... impractical. And dangerous. You didn't want to be just going and diving into fights at the first cue, yelling something like, "HEEEERE I COME TO SAAAVEEE THE DAYYYY!!!"- and being too careless and so eventually dying. That was always something that Clint wanted to avoid. Yet, there were some times when Clint just seemed to click with the Millionaire inventor. The first time meeting the man clad in yellow and red iron was one of those times. That had been the firefight in Manhattan. Fighting alongside each other, Clint calling the shots, watching the Starkio take out Chitauri forces. Backing up his friends. Yet, those times were few and very far between. And, on this occasion, Clint couldn't understand his friend any more than he could understand what went on in a Naked Mole Rat's mind.
Here they were, at a cafe on the south side of Los Angeles, Tony talking on the phone to a rep of a bulletin board company, complaining about a bulletin board looming in the sky right in front of them. The actual board itself was alright, it was just the postion of the spotlights at night. It made the Iron Man look like a certain were-shifter that Clint had met just a few days past. Talking with the rep was getting him nowhere. Clint was sitting back at the booth he had vacated when he had noticed the negative flattery of the bulletin board outside.
When Tony had asked him to come along with him and then Clint had been asked to go to Los Angeles on no uncertain terms at the exact same time, this wasn't exactly what he had in mind. He had expected to find villains and beat them up and get some useful information about the widespread plot to take out Fury... or the Agents of SHIELD... or SHIELD... or something. There was something going on, certainly, that was for sure. Unprecedented amounts of villains had been lurking in the streets lately, ever since the merging had happened. It was a total mess. "Um, Stark, I think you're fighting a losing battle here..." Clint said under his breath as his friend argued relentlessly over the phone. Just in case the millionaire didn't notice, this was a bit of a pointless thing. Yet, Clint supposed, Stark was just the person for this kind of publicity stunt. Well, okay, not a publicity stunt. More like a public embarrassment. After all, Tony was arguing about this pretty loudly. When finally the little gal on the other end hung up and his friend came back, seemingly as disappointed as a kid without his candy, Clint could do nothing but smile at him. "Hey, man, take heart. I bet you that they'll have the lamps readjusted or something within the next hour. And if they don't get it done, I will do it." He agreed about Justin Bieber's face being replaced with Stark's. He had never really liked the boy star, thinking that his act was a bit too... Girl-oriented. Tony's was, too, Clint realized.
Speaking of the female gender, A young woman strode into the little diner, addressing Stark playfully before sitting herself down at a table nearby. She was definitely one worth watching. Of course, in compliance with Fury and SHIELD's wishes, he was on the lookout for anything or one suspicious. In the case of the young lady, all Clint could do was hope and pray that she didn't become a threat, or worse yet, that Tony would start flirting with her.

Burn in blood!

Post by Atros "Atrocitus" on Dec 30, 2012 21:16:25 GMT -5
The setting sun should have brought a darkening sky, and for a while it did. For just a brief moment, the sky was going black with the setting night - but by the standards of Los Angeles, all was far too quiet. All was far too calm. The storm was yet to set, but there was a feeling, a sensation in the air - the storm was coming, and it came with a fury that was yet to be seen. The red claw of rage was soon to be tearing through the streets of LA.
Finally, it became obvious, with the last of the dark setting in, he lit up the sky - a hurtling red meteor, but with much more devastating consequences. His fury had already began boiling his blood, pushing the emotion through his body to form the perfect appetite for destruction, feeding off of the suffering that would be the city locals. Their blood was his main course.
At first, it was the actions of a shooting star, flying across the night sky, but red rather than white. Some children might have made a wish, excitedly holding their parent's hand - who couldn't answer the odd colouration themselves. That, was when it all went haywire. As if reaching the centre-most point, the star's direction shifted, going from right through the sky, cutting through the night, to a nosedive to Earth. The transition of star to meteor was complete.
Faster, faster, faster it became, before his feet hit the floor, sending a massive shockwave into the streets around him. Atros watched as the cars lifted on the impact around him, flipping, moving - windows shattering, dogs barking, fences falling. And then, just as soon as he had started, he let things go quiet, just for the shortest of time - letting him hear the calm prior to his hurricane.
His eyes moved to the cat on his shoulder, giving him an affirming nod - Atros trusted Dex would know exactly what to do. His order implied, it was time to go to work. Arms outstretching, the alien was in no mood for words; that wasn't this evening's agenda. Tonight, it was about reaking the havoc he so craved and desired, and what better way than through energy based constructs? He set them up, on the insides of buildings - giant, red girders - which he then pulled out. People hit the floor, concrete, glass and metal followed his movements, covering the road.
Content with that result, he stepped forward, and tossed both girders through the street, sending them crashing through a building on the other end - all the way through, before disappearing. Dry wall, concrete, everything in the wake was sent into the way of Los Angeles' citizen, breaking through everything and all that may have gotten in the way.
Unfortunately for one little diner, it was next. Rolling his neck, Atros stepped up and began his work with both hands - a giant vice appearing on either side of the construct, the rage filled alien began his tighten, hugging down on the walls, crushing and squeezing them in. They drew closer, closer, caving everything, hugging them closer to one another - a slow, but agonizing process, one that brought the alien much joy.

"Thanks, Clint," Tony grumbled, obviously feeling sorry for himself, as he sipped his coffee. With his free hand, he waved off Clint's offer to fix the sign himself. "If I complain enough, Pepper will get it fixed. She's better with people than I am." He smiled, tight-lipped, at his own sarcastic joke.
Before Clint had the opportunity to reply to that, a girl walked up to the table, pointing at Tony and saying something about a walrus.
"That's it." Tony deadpanned, his smile gone, and pulled out his phone again. He was dialing the number when a huge shockwave hit the diner, knocking the phone out of his hand. What the hell? Was there an earthquake?
Although the screaming outside could have been because of a quake, the world wasn't shaking anymore. So either that was a really fast earthquake, or...
"Sir, it appears that a large meteor has just impacted with the earth two kilometers to your south." JARVIS's alarms were going off in Tony's ear as the A.I. tried to figure out what just happened. "Correction, not a meteor. It appears to be... moving, Sir. Giving off extreme levels of radiation and-"
"Moving?" Tony interrupted, a finger pressed to the communication device in his ear, "Jarvis, what are you talking about-"
His words were cut short when a sudden red light filled the windows of the diner and the sound of cement crumbling and metal whining in protest filled the place. Lamps swung violently overhead. Ceramics fell from the shelves, shattering to the floor. Coffee sloshed everywhere.
As Tony stood up, eyes wide at the phenomena, he finally noticed that the walls weren't just shaking... they were moving in. Closer. Being squeezed. The diner was being crushed from the outside.
"Hawkeye, I need your eyes outside. Figure out what's doing this and stop it. I'll get everybody out." Tony said immediately, not even paying attention to the fact that he just took charge of the situation. His red-and-gold brief case was sitting in the booth next to him. Tony grabbed it and tossed it to the floor.
It revved up and began expanding, pulling itself apart and attaching first, to Tony's legs, then his torso and arms, and finally, in a show of flashy red and gold, clicked into place as his helmet. His eyes lit up with his arc reactor.
Turning around to an empty area of the wall, Iron Man raised his arm, palm aimed toward the wall, and revved up his repulsor. It made a high-pitched mechanical sound as the energy gathered in his palm. "Don't worry, folks. Everything will be just fine." He tried to offer some word of hope and safety to the panicking, screaming crowd around him, but their shouts of terror drowned out his voice.
Tony just sighed and let the energy leave his palm. It kicked-back before the stream crashed into the wall, crumbling the cement and providing a hole through which people could escape.
Some nights I wish that this all would end 'cause I could use some friends for a change |

Cassandra jumped to her feet whne the diner shook before watching the walls start to move towards another as she grumbled." I want... a ...day... of peace.."
She muttered lightly before looking at walwus boy trying to calm everyone down after putting on a suit of red and gold she could not help but laugh, she took the chaos into her advantage and chnaged quickly into her batgirl costume before looking over at Tony. " Hey Walwus.."
she smirked behind ehr back as her mouth was covered with black as she ran out the hole he had made in the wall looking around reading faces and emotions before looking to where the red light was coming from as she tilted her head. She was courious on how he could do that, at least it looked like a he.
Cass moved her hands to her ulity belt as she grabbed a few small batarangs and sighed to her self. She hated using tools but from the looks of the situation, it would have to do until she could get the thing, or him in the red, to actually face her in hand to hand combat, or get close enough to subdue him or the thing what ever the red guy was it sure was not human.

[atrb=border,0,true] Clint was almost immediately up on his feet as the impact rang through the diner, one resembling that of a meteor. He had already grabbed his bow and quiver from the seat beside him and risen, tense, before Tony made the second announcement that it was a living being doing this. Then the walls began to close in on them. Tony was up, pronto, and as he got the Iron Man suit out, he spouted orders. Stark wasn't really official team leader, but he was higher up than Clint was. Plus, the sharpshooter was used to taking orders, so much so that sometimes he couldn't think of being a leader, so he followed the Millionaire's instructions without complaint. "Yes, Sir." He was only moments out of the new hole before another costumed figure swooped out as well. He couldn't see the other's face clearly, but he had a hunch that it was the girl from earlier. The body type and figure was the exact same. Yet, he couldn't be exactly sure. She was now dressed in a bat getup. Clint knew from SHIELD files that there were many Batman knockoffs roaming around these days. This one was kind of far from home. He had also heard that all of them were based out of Gotham City. He couldn't blame her for wanting a vacation, though. Sometimes even he grew sick of the helicarrier, and a short change was needed. Assuming that was what she was doing, he felt bad for having spoiled her getaway. Now, what was her implied name, judging the Bat-like suit, mask, and batarangs? Batwoman, maybe? No, she was too young to be Batwoman, so it had to be Batgirl. In any case he was glad to have a backup. She was clearly going for Mr. Crimson Titan, so she had to be a friend. Also, she had been pretty friendly in the restauraunt earlier. He didn't want to face the huge red guy in front of him alone. Big, glowing red- those were the only two words running through Clint's head at the moment, other than perhaps terrified. He didn't know the other's name, but the one thing that he knew was that his assailant needed an arrow somewhere. A shaft went into his changer, producing a small blast tip. Climbing up to the top of the rapidly-crumbling diner, he was able to take a running leap to the pole of the billboard. Getting up and over from there was a cinch using the servicing ladder. From there he shot an arrow nice and true, aiming for Atros's back. Perhaps it would be a distraction enough to allow the Batgirl her chance at the monster.

It was a testament to loyalty and his trust in Atros that Dex stayed with his master on their descent to the ground. One would think that his small body would not have survived such force, but the ring, the infused blood allowed such a process to happen.
He simply purred, lingering on the shoulder of the red lantern leader. Taking in the carnage that happened when he easily pulled the building apart before preceding the impromptu destruction of the diner. These people escaping from the sudden blast from within would not be tolerated. never mind where the blast came from for the moment, the people were to be killed.
Dex-Starr was not capable of forming such constructs like Atros was. His mind could not focus enough past the rage or hate, though he could speak unlike the rest of the lanterns save for a simple few.
However another individual caught his small eyes, A human in a weird out fit. It looked to be a girl. Trying to help? No, coming for his leader. With a his and a growl the cat leaped forward, paws out stretched with razor claws extended as he literally flew towards her in a blur of red and blue. The acidic blood pooling from his mall razor maw of a mouth.
"BURN!" Was all the small feline was able to get out before letting the fury fuel his attack, the red aura about him glowing even brighter. No one was to harm Atros. Ever.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] Sinestro didn’t care much about the destruction on the streets below. He didn’t care if the humans were being attacked, or if they were being killed. Actually, given how overly populated the planet seemed to be, it was probably a good thing that the humans got knocked out in large quantities from one time to another. Helped keep things from getting well out of hand, he supposed. In any case, he simply didn’t like humans and was usually pleased when things didn’t go well for them. It didn’t really matter to him that he was Green Lantern and it was supposed to be his job to protect them- he had never signed up to join the lanterns again. The whole thing had been thrust upon him and he really wasn’t pleased by it.
So he didn’t immediately leap into action when he saw the chaos suddenly explode over the streets of Los Angeles. Instead, he watched the chaos, following the destruction until he happened upon the source of it- it was only when he finally found who was causing the trouble that he actually had an inkling to get involved.
His ring had picked up red lantern activities, but he hadn’t thought it would be the leader of the crew causing the trouble- he hadn’t expected to see Atrocitus himself. And his little cat, too, how charming.
Must have been out for a walk.
Sinestro chuckled faintly to himself, using his ring to envelope the building the red lantern had been trying to destroy. His green barrier pushed against the red construct, as he made creations of his own in the form of large guns, blasting Atrocitus from behind to try and distract him from his task. He knew other beings had already engaged the man in battle, but their puny human weapons would do little against him, if anything at all. They were better off sitting back in the coffee shop, drinking their last cup before dying in the midst of the battle, like good little humans should. Though, he had to say, the man in the strange armor was a LITTLE curious, and any other time he might have investigated things further. However, with the crazed red lantern destroying the city, his questions would just have to wait.
The green barrier restored the damaged coffee house back to its original state, though he wasn’t sure his actual attack against Atrocitus had done any kind of damage. Maybe heh ad only managed to make the beast more angry.
That was fine- an angry Atrocitus was more amusing, anyway.
“What brings you to earth, my friend?” The Green Lantern asked with a mocking smirk, “were you so interested in me smacking you around again that you just had to come and pay me a visit?” He imagined not- there had to be some reason the being would bother with such a miserable planet.
Color him curious.

"Jarvis, what the hell am I looking at?" Tony asked when he'd exited the building. People were still leaving it, but somehow the structure was being put back together anyway, so Iron Man didn't feel the need to stay inside.
"Sir, the color-themed individuals hovering in the air are giving off massive amounts of an unknown energy. The two dressed in red appear extremely hostile while the one in green's physicality suggests apathy."
"The green energy is what was rebuilding the diner," Tony observed. "Jarvis, analyze that energy and tell me the source. Let's assume, for now, that green bean is not part of the douchebag brigade, but keep an eye on him anyway, Jarvis."
"Yes, Sir."
Tony's HUD focused on the main game players and fed him information. There was some ninja chick and what appeared to be a flying cat- go figure- battling it out while Hulk's angrier big brother and the Green Meanie exchanged phone numbers mid-air. Where the hell did Barton go?!
"Hawkeye, do you read?" Tony patched into the agent's comm device that was standard to keep in contact with SHIELD. "Talk to me, Barton. What do you see?"
The Man of Iron shot two energy beams at Satan's Cat, hoping to hit it before he turned his palms toward the red giant. Now how to down a giant? Tony caught himself wishing he'd paid more attention to Jack and the Beanstalk's story as a kid. "Fee fie fo fum, I smell the blood of an Englishman." He fired two repulsor blasts at Atrocitus.
Some nights I wish that this all would end 'cause I could use some friends for a change |

Burn in blood!

It was far easier to list the things that Atrocitus didn't hate than it was the things he did. Dex, blood, killing and violently mauling planets until they were in an odd, deformed shape, and tearing other lanterns apart - especially the green and yellow ones. Outside of that, there really wasn't much. But, in all of his hate, in all of his rage, few things angered the flying beast quite like knowledge of Sinestro. He had been enjoying cutting the planet down without so much of a flinch - the sound of the diner caving on itself was greatly pleasing.
But, it was to be cut short by an old, and very much unwelcome foe - somewhere between burning the oncoming arrow with a glob of firey, acidic blood spit, and readying to put a generated spear through the heart of Stark, Thaal just had to get involved. It drove him truely mad. As the green based bullets began to pound into his back, Atros' attention on the diner was diverted - that side of the plan had worked, but Sinestro knew as well as anyone, with Atrocitus, that was never quite the victory anyone wanted it to be. It meant he was looking at you.
With a terrific roar, he glared down Thaal - his clawed fists tightening all the more, able to draw his own blood were they not so callously resistant from years of use. He grit his razor sharp teeth, dragging them against one another - loud enough Sinestro would have been able to hear it - before raising a hand, blasting high into the night sky. His attention on Dex was even somewhat lost, but he was confident the feline could handle his own - after all, of all the red lanterns he had commanded, Dex had been the one to stick.
"Sinestro! You cursed, sniveling worm! I should tear the head on your shoulders and use it to knock down pins! You stand between me and the destruction of the humans that you hate so much?!"
It didn't make much sense - Thaal had never demonstrated much of a following for the Earthlings; he couldn't even stand the one he had trained. So why now, why would he stand up for them now? In truth, the answer was simple - he wasn't protecting them, he didn't care about them enough to do that. He just wanted to annoy the leader of the red corps; to hell with the humans, this was all about personal affliction. But that was fine. Atros could do personal, too.
At least, normally he could - but before he had made a move, his dropped attention cost him greatly; two repulsor blasts from Tony Stark. Atros should have killed the Iron menace when he had the chance. Shooting across the sky, flips and twists, Atros soon regained stability, before he drove himself back across the sky, claws pointed as he charged for Tony's chest - two red blasts building at the palms; this was gonna hurt.
As he got close, the claws dragged and scratched at the plate, pulling up some of the paint work, before he took his blasts, right in the chest; a best case scenario, Atros had killed the damned human. Worst case, he had just hurt him. Either way, a sore human was a good human. Wounds where what put them aside.

[atrb=border,0,true] Much to Hawkeye's chagrin, the arrow melted on impact with Atros's burning gunk. If that stuff could melt adamantium/vibranium alloy and not even set off the explosive in the arrow, Clint better stay the hell away from it. Hopping down from the billboard rack just as the spot where he was standing got burninated, he hung from the metal grating and safety-dropped to the roof of the cafe, which fortunately was still stable enough to stand on. In just about thirty seconds it wouldn't... That thought was cut short by a flash of green. A man, similarily clad to the giant in red and the cat, but with a green version of their powers, flew in and managed to counter the slow crushing of the tin roof. Clint popped off a quick, small salute as he hopped down to the ground. Tony's voice blared through his headset. "Hawkeye, do you read? Talk to me, Barton. What do you see?" "Loud and clear, sir. We have four of importance out here. The big red guy, batlady, angry kitty, and green guy. From the way big red and green are dueling it out, it seems like they know each other. It's a distraction plaguing red, and the diner is temporarily held off from collapsing, but even so, I think we are still at a serious disadvantage here. Stay away from red's energy- it melted my arrow like it was butter in a frying pan. I'm coming down to help with the civilians." There were a few people who were running away, screaming. Now only feet away from where Sinestro and Atros were duking it out, Clint tried his hardest to help calm the hysterical, and tell them to get out as fast as they could, all the while keeping his eye on the fighting. It wasn't practical to be in combat himself: often Clint was told that he was only good against humanlike beings. Those with powers like the tag teams here were untouchable, unless he managed to catch them off guard. Just as he was delivering a lost child to his mother, Clint saw Tony turn and fire off two repulsor shots; one to Dex-Starr and the other to Atrocitus. This caught the latter on the back. Big Red spun in fury and charged to Tony. With a gasp of horror Clint sprung into action. Surely the armor was made of roughly the same composition as Clint's arrows, and yes, thicker too. Iron Man may save Stark for the time being, but not for long. Two carbon fiber arrows came out of his quiver. In his standard arsenal he always carried metal arrows and a couple carbon fiber arrows, just in case. Carbon wasn't as strong nor as durable as adamantium, but it had a higher melting point. It wouldn't pierce Atros's skin, but perhaps it would distract... Then he would have to see if Big Red would turn on him. That would be scary, but if it was for Tony, it would be worth it. Aiming carefully around civilians, Clint took the shot, aiming for the hamstrings. That would get his attention.
