Hair: She wears her hair long and curled, parted in the middle. Naturally it is a pretty auburn color but a long time ago she started dying it black and has continued doing that, preferring it over her natural color.
Eyes: Her eyes have a nice shape, naturally sort of half lidded and sultry looking. Upon looking closely at them, the pupil and iris have a strange sort of design to them, seeming almost insectile. They are also an emerald green and black color.

Appearance: Jessica is tall and lean with a startlingly perfect hour glass figure. Her hair is worn dark and almost always down around her shoulders. She normally doesn't dress very fancy, or seems to take much pride in clothing. She needs to be able to fight, or flee easily, which doesn't often give to high heels and tight pants. With her figure though, most clothing looks pretty good on her, even if it's a little frumpy.

She does enjoy wearing make up though and often pays a lot of attention to her eye make up, really enjoying doing it. Her lips are full and firm and bear a few scars from physical altercations in the past, making some areas rough and other areas soft.

Personality: Jessica Drew is independent and doesn't trust people easily at all. She's been hurt at every turn in her life and doesn't want to be hurt anymore by anyone. She takes her work very seriously and initially she can come off as being very cold and calculating, probably because of her trust issues. She doesn't like getting close to people because she's afraid that she might get close and the more things you have to lose the more people like trying to take them away.

Once she settles in and becomes comfortable with the situation she begins to lighten up and look at things more positively. She enjoys flirting with certain people, but hardly ever makes any moves to make the flirting something more. Jess, deep down, has a good sense of humor, though at times it is decidedly British. Jessica takes big risks she probably doesn't need to to make her feel more alive. She was born into pain and that was all she knew for a long time. She is hard to read sometimes, and though she likes to pretend she's immune of emotions like love and affection... She's certainly not. She has a hard time exploring or explaining her emotions. So, while she doesn't trust people, or let them into her life, they matter a lot to her.





Powers:

• Bio-electricity: She can create bio-electricity in her hands and can manipulate it into venom blasts if she wants to. Also she can use the bio-electricity as though it was normal electricity from the sky.
  
• Venom Blasts: Jessica can concentrate her bio-electricity into venom blasts, powerful blasts that will knock most people back a bit.
  
• Pheromones: She can release a pheromone that can make people fall in love with her. Alternately she can release a similar one to scare people.
  
• Natural Adhesive: On the palms of her hands and bottom of her feet, she can secrete a powerful adhesive that will allow her to remain attached to virtually any surface for as long as she wants to.
  
• Increased Senses: Something akin to 'spider sense', but it also covers increased vision, smell and hearing.
  
• Increased Dexterity and Reflexes: She has increased dexterity because of the spider serum and her reflexes are nearly impossibly fast.
  

Weapons She doesn't really have weapons, but a specialized suit. The webbing between her torso and the underside of her arms is re-enforced to allow her to fly or glide from heights safely to the ground. Also, the soles of her shoes and palms of her gloves are designed to allow the secretion of her adhesive and allow her to hang onto things.


Strengths/Abilities: Expert at hand to hand combat and a superb marksman.
Trained assassin.
Jessica also speaks Korean, Russian, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and German and is highly intelligent.
Because of her body composition, poison has little to no effect on her, same goes for radiation.


Weaknesses: She is unaware that her father was the one to infuse her DNA with a spider. When this is discovered, she probably won't take it easily.
Her pheromones can be turned on and off, and she uses a special perfume to help keep it turned off. When she uses it, it doesn't stop instantly, it lasts for about 30 minutes to an hour after she turns it off.
She doesn't use her pheromone powers often because of the risk that can be incurred by using them. Also, it makes things super awkward when it wares off.






History: Jessica was born to two scientists who were studying the effect of spider DNA on the human genome. They lived on Wundagore where they could keep experimenting without any disruption. While Jessica's mother was pregnant with her, there was an accident, and the baby was caught in some radiation intended for the creation of a spider/human hybrid. It was an accident and the parents were terrified that it might have cost the life of their child. She was born a few months later, happy, healthy and as she grew up it became obvious that the radiation had a lasting effect on her. That was when her father took over, despite her mother's protests. See, Jonathan was obsessed with evolution and with the pressure he felt from HYDRA... Jessica was the first successful attempt they had. So what did he do? What any loving father would, inject her with serum and place her in a tiny room every day.

The room he would put her in was a box that would speed up the evolution of anything inside of it. It was highly untested, and he put his baby girl in there. She did evolve quickly, it slowed her aging a bit when she was in the box but sped up the development of her powers. After she hit the age of about two or three her parents mysteriously disappeared and she was taken in by HYDRA and trained to be an assassin. Not only was she being trained to be a fighter, she was incredibly abused and manipulated into thinking that they really cared about her, that they were the only people who would ever care about her. She lived like that for years, fighting, killing, moving up in the ranks of HYDRA until it all was brought to a sudden halt.

On a mission she was attacked by some aliens, Skrull, who very nearly killed Jessica if it hadn't been for the intervention of SWORD. That was where she met Agent Brand, a woman who had been monitoring Jessica, going by the code-name of Spider-Woman. She was offered a chance to get away from HYDRA, to get her life straight and get some revenge on those who hurt her. Jessica ended up taking it. She worked for SWORD for a few years, still on the run from HYDRA, afraid of what might happen if they caught her. After she worked with SWORD she moved onto working with SHIELD too as well as SWORD when they needed her. Now, she's got an offer, the best one yet. To join the Avengers.

What was she going to say, no? If there was any group in the world who could keep her safe from HYDRA, it was them. There was one big thing she'd have to overcome though, working with a team. She'd never had to work with a team before and it was a little intimidating at first. All she could do was hold her breath and hope for the best as she put HYDRA even further behind her and attempted to start another new chapter in her young life.
