Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

It had been over the small white kitten (names Sora) who Sinestro had picked up. The whole thing had been very interesting and Raven had to admit that she did care for the kitten. It had been problematic when the strange creature that had been following Sinestro appeared. Loosing control of her emotion like that had not been good and ever since Raven had been meditating three or more times daily. She had to keep her emotions supressed and keep her father or brothers from ever getting a chance to possess her.
But still there was one thing that she wanted to see complete, other than the Titans. This morning she had caught herself wondering about where Beast Boy and Kory were. Kory had been one of her closest friends while she had actually dated Beast Boy. Not that she was missing those feelings, it was the closeness of the team, the positive feelings. Lately the feelings had been too low and had been effecting the Titan's health. She was unwilling to admit that since the incident with the creature her emotions had been a bit loose. Despite the increased meditations. Yesterday she had meditated five times on top of looking for the Titans.
But while looking for the Titans she had identified where Sinestro had been staying. So after an hour of meditation, Raven had decided that she would visit. It was worth checking up on the kitten; Sinestro did not know everything about kittens and Raven had aquired a book that she thought he may find useful for looking after the kitten. But another positive about Sinestro was that there were less emotions which were generally easier on the Empath. Looking around the room, Raven glanced at the few items she was taking. A book, cat food (especially for kittens) and a card with her apology for accidently attacking him.
Pulling her hood over her face (despite this not being hero work, Raven was keeping in her costume) and picked up the few items she was bringing. Then it was simply the task of teleporting with her soul-self to Sinestro's home. Pausing once more to make sure that her emotions were in check, Raven then allowed herself to teleport. The half-demon appeared at the entrance of the lair (thankfully in an area with oxygen rather than H2O), the black raven melting back into the form of Raven. "I hope you do not mind me visiting." [/b] Raven announced her presence as she stood with a book, bag of cat food and card. [/blockquote][/div] [/style]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] Sinestro’s many computers had alerted him of Raven’s approach before she had made it inside the underwater building, and it was only because he had let his barriers down that she had not been met with any kind of trouble trying to get into the lair. Indeed, it looked more like a lair than anything else, with very little beyond complex looking machinery and the bare minimum in terms of furniture and decoration. He was more concerned with his work than making the place look comfortable. Still, he had taken the time to create a small addition to the otherwise dreary home base- a small room located near his own bedroom. Inside it were various levels for the small kitten to climb on, along with a bowl for its food and water, and a small section for its litter. All things his ring had told him cats needed, though he found the kitten was not so sure about the litter part. Loud would be the laughter if he ever had to tell anyone that he had been forced to clean up cat poopy.
But the kitten wasn’t in her little room. She had already learned about the small hatch at the bottom of the door, allowing her to come and go as she pleased. Though Sinestro had made sure to keep all the various cords safe from prying kitten teeth, she still seemed determined to find all the worst places to hide.
His ring hadn’t informed him that kittens liked to seek trouble out- if he had known that, he might have reconsidered having one running around a highly dangerous facility. Still, it was too late to get rid of her.
He was too attached.
The kitten bounced over to Raven when she appeared in her normal form, tail waving around in the air as she curiously came to see who had come to visit. She wasn’t a shy kitten, wasting no time in sniffing the girl’s feet, catching the scent of something delicious somewhere in her vicinity. She knew the girl had food, and she wanted to find it.
Sinestro, meanwhile, appeared some time after her, nodding hello to the young titan. “I’m impressed,” he commented impassively, “very few have the capability of finding me down here.” She was indeed a unique being, and he wanted to know more about her powers. Their last encounter had taken a few unexpected turns, making it difficult for time alone. After what Soranik had said, he imagined she probably had some questions as well. That was to be expected.
“What brings you to my base?” He asked, though he imagined the answer was the small white furball trying to climb up her cape. “Sora is doing well- she has recovered from her ordeal almost completely.” Nothing like a green lantern to heal things up.
Even one with an apparent lack of respect for her ring, like his daughter. Was she too old to ground?

But before the Titan could have any more time to examine the area a small ball of white fur came running up to her and sniffed around her feet. Raven, guessing that putting a bag of food down in the vicinity of the kitten, left it to levitate while she bent down to stroke Sora the Kitten. Certainly the kitten seemed to be improving and very friendly. One thing that hadn't changed was the sweetness of the little thing and Raven felt the unusual desire to talk to her, although that would be to no use.
It was then that Sinestro appeared and the half demon looked up from the kitten that she was stroking. “I’m impressed,” Sinestro said and Raven stood up, picking up the levitating objects. “very few have the capability of finding me down here.” Raven shrugged. "I've been looking for some of the former members of the Teen Titans and I picked up your emotions, or lack of them. They are general distinctive from the rest of the population." [/b] The Titan replied. It had been more chance that she was in the right vicinity and had picked up enough to identify Sinestro. As she felt a small tug on her cape, Raven turned and looked down to see the young kitten attempting to climb up up it and she smiled. “What brings you to my base?”"I have some things for you,"[/b] Raven said, handing Sinestro the book on looking after kittens, the catfood and apology letter. "Although the catfood is more for Sora - the kitten."[/b] The Titan added, in case it wasn't clear. Now that she had handed the food over, Raven could bend down a little and allow the kitten her lap if she desired. “Sora is doing well- she has recovered from her ordeal almost completely.” Raven smiled and stroked the kitten's head. "I'm glad, she is too young to have been through so much."[/b] The Titan said softly. Raven paused in her stroking of the kitten, considering whether to lower her hood, which was still up. It was the polite thing to do, after all, she was in someone's home, or lair. So she took it down and then continued to give the kitten attention. "I hope I did not disturb you." Raven said, wondering whether Sinestro did want to see her. Plus she would hopefully be able to help Sinestro look after the kitten. Also she was slightly curious as to whether she could meet Soranik (who's emotions she had not picked up) and the Titan had thought it might be interesting to talk to the doctor. And if Sinestro opened up about his previous corps she would not be disinterested.[/blockquote][/div] [/style]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] Sinestro grunted. Lack of emotion? How rude. He had plenty of- well, no, he supposed she was right about that. He did feel like emotions were a weakness, and he did his best not to deal with them if at all possible. “The Teen Titans,” he chuckled, “that is still absurd to me. The idea that a bunch of children are running around fighting crime, with no adult to guide them. Still… I suppose this is earth. There are plenty of things that happen here that I do not fully understand.” He could admit to that- humans lived completely differently from how he liked to spend his time. They seemed to endeavor to create chaos, while he sought to wipe it from existence. If he had the time, he might have taken control of the world, just to make it behave.
But there were other things to do, and the last time he had taken over a planet it had ended with him getting kicked out of the corps and banished.
He watched kitty Sora, who seemed to like Raven. Perhaps she remembered her scent from their previous encounter, or she just knew when someone was a good person. But then, why did she like him, too? He would have to see how she treated Soranik. If she didn’t like her, then she had her wires crossed, and if she did, perhaps she just liked everyone she could rub her fur against.
Sinestro took the items she offered, letting the food float beside him as he observed the book, and then the card. The letter was the most interesting thing to him- his people did not express themselves in such a way. He wouldn’t spend too much time looking at it, though, as he imagined it would make Raven uncomfortable to be standing right there if he did. So he let the items float off to appropriate places to rest, still watching Raven. She actually brought something to apologize- who would go that far, if they knew all about him? Maybe that was the only reason she was there at all. Because she didn’t know who he really was.
A conversation could change that.
“No, you did not disturb me. I was just going to attempt to make what you humans call ‘dinner’. Spaghetti, I believe. One of the few things I’ve researched that didn’t seem completely rancid. You may stay, if you wish. I imagine you might have some questions, after our last meeting, and I would not be adverse to learning a little more about you and your ‘Teen Titans’.
He motioned for her to follow him, leading her to a table with some chairs. Since he didn’t have a proper living room in the base, it would have to do in terms of a seating area. Sora sprang after Sinestro, climbing up his leg all the way to his shoulder, where she sat like a parrot. Sinestro didn’t seem to notice or mind, waiting for Raven to join them.

"I hope I did not ofend you." [/b] Raven said, to her there was nothing wrong with a lack of emotions. Personally she found it easier to be around him than a lot of other humans. When they had negative emotions it effected her health. Positive emotions healed her, but there had been too much negative emotions. “The Teen Titans, that is still absurd to me. The idea that a bunch of children are running around fighting crime, with no adult to guide them. Still… I suppose this is earth. There are plenty of things that happen here that I do not fully understand.” Raven thought about how to reply, she did not want to offend Sinestro. "The Titans have done a lot and helped to save this world more than once. They have been more accepting than the Justice League at times."[/b] When she had went to the Justice League for help they had denied her because of her demonic heritage. And Raven had caused several world threatening problems, such as her father and the Wyld. Neither of those occasions had been good and it was thanks to the Titans that she was alive and the earth was around. Yes other teams had faced other such earth threatening problems, but Raven was grateful to the Titans. Raven raised an eye brow at the word Spaghetti, she had not though that it would be one of the things that Sinestro would try. She would have expected some alien dish. "It's fascinating that you are trying the local cusine."[/b] Raven commented, wondering what food they had on Sinestro's home planet. "I only need to know how much you want to tell me. From what Soranik said, it doesn't sound too different from historical wars."[/b] Raven said. "At a guess I would say that you were doing what you believed was right but lost the battle, or your corps did." Raven said, working with her knowledge of the past. "But that is working with a basic knowledge of history. History is made by the victors."[/b] Then she heard Sinestro about the Teen Titans and she gave a nod. As they walked into a room with chairs, Raven noticed that Sora was getting up onto Sinestro's shoulders. "What do you want to know about the Titans and myself?"[/b][/blockquote][/div] [/style]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] She seemed proud of her team. She would likely defend them if he teased them further. He would have done the same if she had started on about the Green Lanterns, so he didn’t make any further observations. Though he couldn’t see the merit of a team full of foolish, inexperienced youths, he wasn’t going to say they were completely worthless. He was sure they did what they thought was best, and they were quite proud of themselves. As long as they stayed on earth where they wouldn’t cause any trouble, Sinestro didn’t need to be too concerned.
Earth was the place for weird things, anyway.
When she said it was interesting that he would try local foods, he shrugged. “Perhaps, but I’m not entirely incapable of trying things.” Even if it was human food, it was still something he needed if he wanted to keep his strength up. It didn’t make sense to go flying off into space just to get himself a meal. He mused about it as he started to prepare the meal, moving into an open kitchen that gave him a clear view of Raven at the table. She was commenting on what might have happened with his team.
“My corps didn’t lose,” Sinestro replied easily enough, “the battle, perhaps, but not the war- I got what I wanted from our encounter with the Green Lanterns, and in the end my team escaped from their grasp and we went back to our work.” He frowned thoughtfully. It had been a crazy trip for him, but he imagined she didn’t want to hear how he had been crucified on a dead planet and left to bleed to death to power the rage-ridden power rings of the Red Lanterns. She was more likely just curious to know if he was actually a good guy or not- if he could be trusted. If she was looking for that kind of an answer from him, she would have to go wanting. It wasn’t like he really knew if he could be trusted or not- he wasn’t there to play hero, like so many of the human supers. He was there to do a job. If that got him on one side of the fence, or the other, he really didn’t care.
“After some unfortunate events, I was inadvertently saddled with a green ring, forcing me out of my team. Without me leading them, they began to run wild. So I shut them down. The ones that remained active marked me as a traitor, and wish to rip my head off, as you have already seen.” A shrug of his shoulders was all he needed to show how worried he was about them getting the better of him.
Clearly he wasn’t too concerned.
He continued to cook, peering over at Raven as she asked what he might like to know about the Titans. A grunt escaped him. “I believe you have told me enough about your little team,” he replied, “I do not have any questions about them currently. However, I would like to learn more about you and your abilities, if you don’t mind sharing. Were you born with those abilities?” He allowed his ring to take control of the cooking as he moved to join her at the table, the various kitchen supplies moving on their own, surrounded by a faint green light.

From what Soranik had said, Raven guessed that in his past Sinestro would not have been the kind to take on a kitten or any small helpless animal. Maybe things between the father and daughter would improve at some point in the future due to this. It might be good for both of them, although neither seemed to have any problems being apart. If the problems between the two were over comed, would their relationship be better?
“Perhaps, but I’m not entirely incapable of trying things.” Raven gave a nod, Sinestro moved into the kitchen and naturally Raven followed some of the distance, however it was open and he had a clear view of her anyway. "I imagine food from here must be rather different to the food on your own planet." [/b] The half-demon said, thoughtfully. She had never given much thought to what food would be like on other planets other than the difference between Azarath and Earth, which was not that different. “My corps didn’t lose,” Raven listened, carefully, the story should prove to be insightful. “the battle, perhaps, but not the war- I got what I wanted from our encounter with the Green Lanterns, and in the end my team escaped from their grasp and we went back to our work.” It sounded as if it was possible that the war might still be going on. Not a full out one, but a gradual one. Or prehaps what Sinestro had wanted had come to pass, even though his corps had been defeated. Either way, Raven supposed she could relate to it. She had won battles against relatives but still had to deal with her heritage. “After some unfortunate events, I was inadvertently saddled with a green ring, forcing me out of my team. Without me leading them, they began to run wild. So I shut them down. The ones that remained active marked me as a traitor, and wish to rip my head off, as you have already seen.” It sounded interesting, although Raven couldn't exactly tell what Sinestro thought about getting 'saddled with a green ring,'. "So what was the war over? And would Soranik agree with your description?" Raven asked, trying to phrase the questions as politely as possible and in a way to let Sinestro know that he did not have to answer if he felt that it was prying too much. Still, Sinestro didn't seem that bothered by what had happened and Raven would have to say that it was the more concerning thing, if anything. If, as Soranik had said, he and his team had killed millions, one would have expected some remorse. “I believe you have told me enough about your little team,” Raven supposed one could consider it good that he didn't want to find out more about the Teen Titans, but she doubted that it would be much of an interesting subject. “I do not have any questions about them currently. However, I would like to learn more about you and your abilities, if you don’t mind sharing. Were you born with those abilities?”Ah, that would be the catch. "Yes, I was born with these powers. I was raised on Azarath where they taught me how to control them."[/b] Raven said, she had no problems with that part. "My father isn't exactly human."[/b] She continued, but left it there. Her heritage she had shared with the Teen Titans, but she wasn't proud of it. [/blockquote][/div] [/style]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] Sinestro nodded. “Yes,” he replied when she commented on the food, “korgaran food is quite different from what you have here on earth. So far, I have seen very little that’s similar to what I am used to, but I suppose you must make due with what you are given.” He shrugged his shoulders, a little apathetic about the whole thing. Food was the least of his concerns at that point.
She was asking what the war was about, and about his daughter. Someone she had only recently met. “Well, the battle between my corps and the Green Lanterns was fought for change. I wanted them to change their ways, and they did. So I suppose I should be quite happy with myself,” he didn’t seem too happy, lingering on her question about Soranik for a moment. “Soranik wouldn’t agree with anything I have to say, whether it happened to be the truth or not. I think she makes it her mission to disagree with me.” He knew she was a very stubborn creature. She had gotten that from him. Still, it was a little annoying. What he had done hadn’t been for ‘evil’, yet she would think so.
“You have to understand: my daughter hates me for more than just that small war. Long before that, I betrayed my planet. And she will not forgive me for it. She sees me as a villain, and perhaps I am. I don’t subscribe to those sort of labels. In any case, don’t expect the two of us to be hand-in-hand anytime soon. She wasn’t lying when she said my corps and I have killed billions.” He looked away from her, though said nothing. His expression remained neutral, any emotion he might have supposed to be feeling not to be found.
All the same, he was glad when the focus shifted to her, the man tilting his head slightly to one side as she explained a bit about herself. “Azarath- I know the place, though only from my research. What do you not human? An alien, or some kind of demonic being from that dimension?’ Sinestro didn’t like to beat around the bush, and had no foresight to ask more gently. “I suppose it must be a demon- my ring would have indicated alien DNA. However, I did not have it tracking any demon classifications.” He watched her, growing more and more interested as she spoke. Maybe it was just because he had always been a good student in school- he had loved to learn. Not be taught, but learn. Discover things.
Didn’t need a teacher for it.
“Your powers, they seem to be quite ranged. There are mutants around who have one, perhaps two abilities tops. You, however, seem to be able to do a whole lot more. Am I correct in saying you have empathic powers? You were able to read my emotions when my daughter was tending to the cat. It surprised me.” He didn’t mind admitting it- she had interesting powers. It wasn’t everyday he saw someone with abilities close to hers, even on all the various worlds he had visited in his lofty career as a lantern.
Sora sauntered down for Sinestro’s shoulder, wobbling onto the table on still unstable legs. She mewed softly, trotting her way awkwardly over to Raven once more. Apparently the kitten wanted to be involved in the conversation as well.

So far, I have seen very little that’s similar to what I am used to, but I suppose you must make due with what you are given.” Raven listened, wondering what Korgaran food was like. "What is the food like? Can you explain the flavour, texture or anything that might help me see if I can figure out any dishes from here that are similar?" [/b] Raven asked, wanting to be able to help. There was probably too much of a culture difference for Raven to be able to find something, but she did want to see if she could offer any help, despite Sinestro not being that bothered. Raven also wondered what food from his planet was like. "If you need any help preparing it, I can try to help. I've done some cooking for the Titans and I've had to support myself as well."[/b] The Titan offered. “Well, the battle between my corps and the Green Lanterns was fought for change. I wanted them to change their ways, and they did. So I suppose I should be quite happy with myself,” Raven briefly considered what that change might have been. If asked, Sinestro would almost certainly say that his cause was the best. Raven was interested in meeting Soranik again and talking to her. Both would present a biased view, though. Although based of Sinestro's emotions, he would feel less of a need to be biased. Still, his participation would have lead to him being biased towards his side. “Soranik wouldn’t agree with anything I have to say, whether it happened to be the truth or not. I think she makes it her mission to disagree with me.”"The relationship within families are not always easy."[/b] Raven said softly, completely understanding how difficult relationships could be. She wasn’t lying when she said my corps and I have killed billions.” Listening, the half demon thought about Sinestro's words. Soranik probably had more reasons as well, but Raven could understand why Soranik would dislike her father for betraying his own planet and leading a corps that killed billions. As the topic changed, Raven sensed, only briefly, that Sinestro was glad of it, and she decided to attempt and leave his past out of the topic. “Azarath- I know the place, though only from my research. What do you not human? An alien, or some kind of demonic being from that dimension?’ Raven wondered if Sinestro knew that Azarath had been destroyed by her father and only later did the souls get guided to a new plane of existance and then a later New Azarath. But before Raven had the chance to reply, Sinestro continued. “I suppose it must be a demon- my ring would have indicated alien DNA. However, I did not have it tracking any demon classifications.” His assumption was correct, although he didn't know who her father was. Still, Raven decided to wait to make sure that Sinestro had finished his deductions. “Your powers, they seem to be quite ranged. There are mutants around who have one, perhaps two abilities tops. You, however, seem to be able to do a whole lot more. Am I correct in saying you have empathic powers? You were able to read my emotions when my daughter was tending to the cat. It surprised me.” Raven waited a few more seconds, to see if Sinestro was going to go on, answering his own questions, not that she minded too much. But this time, before she could reply, the kitten Sora came down from Sinestro's shoulders and tottered over to Raven. The Titan smiled and lightly tapped her fingers on the table, moving it around as if it were a creature. It would attract the kitten's attention and Sora might decide to play with the hand. Raven didn't mind of she decided to use teeth and claws, the half-demon healed quickly. Besides, from what she had seen, cats and ther young could often tell the difference between a playing hand and something that 'needed' to be killed. "I am an empath, my powers come from my father. He's a Demonic Lord of the Underworld, known as Trigion. At the age of six he had destroyed an entire planet. At thirty, he held dominion of millions of words in his dimension. My mother was offered up as his bride and then tried to commit suicide when she found out who he was."[/b] The Titan said emotionlessly, deciding it was best to try and get it over and done with. There was still a lot more to it that Sinestro could question. When they had earlier met, Raven mentioned her brothers. And she had not yet explained the dangers of allowing herself to feel emotions, especially ones like rage and anger. The incident with protecting Sora had worried her. It should not be that easy to loose control. The Titan didn't want to give in to her demonic side. [/blockquote][/div] [/style]

The tastes there are not the same as the ones here on earth. We are not limited to five or six kinds of taste. We have more than just ‘sweet’ or ‘bitter’. So I don’t know if I would be able to explain what our food it like to someone like you.” He shrugged his shoulders. Maybe it wasn’t that important to her. He, however, did imagine he would be feeling a little limited in their choices of foods. When she offered to help cook, he shook his head, smiling faintly. “I don’t really need help with this sort of thing. I used to cook unfamiliar meals for my wife when she was pregnant. She and I were not from the same planets. I believe I became quite accomplished.” He took a moment to himself, thinking about those days- how long had it been since he had actually cooked anything? Likely not since that moment he mentioned. Since being with his wife.
It felt like an eternity had passed since then.
“Trigon- I have read of him,” Sinestro said after Raven went on about herself for a little while, “it surprises me that you are his offspring. I heard he used his offspring for some dark deeds.” Not that he considered what Trigon had done evil, really. The guy, while misguided, had been doing what he considered needed. He just hadn’t followed the rules all that well, targeting innocent lives instead of creatures in need or order. But Sinestro wasn’t sure that was particularly ‘evil’ of the so-called demon lord. Then again, he didn’t think he was all that evil, either. He had been doing what was best for the universe in his mission. Though, recently, he had been thinking that, just maybe, he had been a little misguided as well.
“I suppose we all have our troubled pasts,” Sinestro remarked rather blandly, getting ready to finish the meal he had been working on, “It’s not your fault whose blood you share. I wouldn’t concern yourself too much with something like that.” He didn’t mind learning about her past, but he wasn’t that interested in it. More realistically, the only thing he found interesting was her bloodline- it explained her powers more effectively than anything else she might have told him. But if she wanted to get the rest of it off of her chest, he wasn’t going to tell her to shut up.
He was happy to learn about her.
“What caused you to lose control of your powers?” He asked as he prepared two plates for them, “with Sora and the yellow lantern. It seemed like it was because you were upset, but I couldn’t be sure at the time.” He did have a lot of things to deal with right at that moment. There had been a monster out to kill him, and he’d had his wound from her not long after that. The wound, meanwhile, had healed since then. Whatever magic she had in her, thankfully it hadn’t effected how things took to heal. It would have been a pain in the ass if she had hit him with something that lingered. There was nothing more annoying then being put out of commission by someone who was supposed to be on your own team.
He brought over the plates, setting one down in front of Raven. The pasta and ragu both looked perfectly done, still steaming from being so freshly prepared.

The tastes there are not the same as the ones here on earth. We are not limited to five or six kinds of taste. We have more than just ‘sweet’ or ‘bitter’. So I don’t know if I would be able to explain what our food it like to someone like you.” Raven listened as Sinestro spoke about about the food on his planet. It sounded very interesting. "I hope that at some point I will have the chance to try the food from your planet." [/b] The Titan said, she was always open to new experiences and cultures. “I don’t really need help with this sort of thing. I used to cook unfamiliar meals for my wife when she was pregnant. She and I were not from the same planets. I believe I became quite accomplished.” Raven listened, wondering what the family would have been like back then. It was something that she could not comprehend, though. Her only family were the Teen Titans, a bunch of teenages trying to save the world. Raven's own mother hadn't raised Raven until she was ten, and it was only four years later that the Titan had left for earth to get help to fight her father. “Trigon- I have read of him,” Raven wondered what Sinestro had read, Raven herself had read a lot when she found out that her father was going to take over earth. It was possible that they had read some of the same sources. “it surprises me that you are his offspring. I heard he used his offspring for some dark deeds.”"I wouldn't say that I have not been used for some of his darker deeds." Raven said, her voice almost inaudible as she thought about her past. True she might not appear as evil as her brothers, but she had done evil. “I suppose we all have our troubled pasts,” Raven nodded, as far as she was aware, no one in the Teen Titans had a trouble free past. Often horrible things had happened in their past and they all knew someone who had died. “It’s not your fault whose blood you share. I wouldn’t concern yourself too much with something like that.” Raven smiled at that and wondered whether Sinestro had ever had to say something like that to his daughter who seemed to not like her father. "Thank you."[/b] Raven said, when she had approached the Justice League to help against her father they had denied her because of her demonic heritage. It was always nice when someone accepted that it was beyond her conrol. Raven's attention went back to the kitten Sora for a bit, the Titan still moving her fingers for the kitten to play with. It was peaceful and Raven wondered what Sora would be like when she grew up. Would she still be so playful or would she prefer to rest more often on someone's lap, or maybe she would prefer to hunt things. Either way, Sinestro probably had an interesting future with the cat. “What caused you to lose control of your powers? With Sora and the yellow lantern. It seemed like it was because you were upset, but I couldn’t be sure at the time.” "My powers are tied to my emotions, as well as my... other side. When I feel rage I tend to loose control. Worse case senario is that I would have gone demonic. If that happened you'd probably have another enemy to face. Although the Titans have what is needed to kill me if that happens."[/b] As she spoke, Raven was perfectly calm. After the incident with her brothers when she had gone evil and tried to rule the world with the Titans it had been part of the terms for her staying. Just then, Sinestro walked in with food and placed it on the table. It looked perfectly cooked and fresh. It also smelled nice. "It smells loverly."[/b] Raven said, politely, looking at the kitten who was still on the table. "Does Sora need to be fed?"[/b] She asked, giving the furry little kitten a stroke. [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] Sinestro was surprised to be thanked for his off-handed comment. He hadn’t expected her to take more from it than it being some kind of idle banter to progress the conversation along a little. Maybe it was the kind of thing she had always been looking to hear- he imagined there would be few out there who felt it was fine to hang around someone related to a demon lord. But Sinestro was not afraid. He didn’t fear anything, especially not some little girl who may have had some troubles with her powers every now and again. So what if she was related to a demon? Most throughout the universe considered him a demon, so he had nothing to complain about.
She didn’t seem unhappy with what he had said, and he could appreciate that. Maybe she knew, at least to a small degree, what he went through on most days. He didn’t care about names and hate, but he supposed someone who was younger and less experienced might have trouble dealing with it.
Shame.
The man listened as she explained her power a bit further, nodding. It made sense that she would lose control if her powers were based on emotion. Particularly rage. “There are lanterns who use rage as the base of their power,” Sinestro remarked lightly, “such a primitive emotion- unrefined. I don’t believe it can ever really be controlled.” He didn’t give into his emotions as often as others, especially not rage. There was no need to get worked up when reason could win the day.
She had mentioned that her friends would know how to kill her if she fully lost control, and he nodded. It was good to have a back up plan. “I suppose if I had an unstable power source, I would want a way to be stopped as well.” He didn’t mean it to be cruel- he just wasn’t very good at saying things in any other way than how they had entered his mind. Sugar coating was not his forte.
When she asked about the kitten, Sinestro shook her head. “She is fine- she had food not that long ago. Though she may still act like a starving beast just to get some of what you’re eating. She seems to like sharing.” But his research had told him not to give too many human foods to kittens, so she never got what she begged for. Still, it only seemed to make her want it more, the kitten sniffing around the table eagerly. Ignoring her, Sinestro looked at Raven once more. “I hope it tastes alright. I may starve if I don’t find more variety in foods I don’t loathe eating.” He took a bite of his pasta, frowning thoughtfully for a moment. “It’s nice,” he decided.
“Your friends- the titans, as you call them. If they have measures to kill you, you must trust them quite a bit. I don’t think there were very many within my team that I would consider worthy of such things.”

The Titan assumed that Sinestro had not been expecting her to thank him. Maybe he had not been aware that his words were very welcome from someone who had problems with fitting in. Who had always had problems with their heritage, who had tried to get help and originally been rejected because of her demonic side. Although to be fair, Sinestro hadn't seen her when she looked all demonic; with dark skin and four glowing red eyes.
“There are lanterns who use rage as the base of their power,” Raven never particularily cared for rage. It was the emotion that was linked to her demonic side but she didn't want to let loose that. If she could control her rage, it would not stop her using her powers. “such a primitive emotion- unrefined. I don’t believe it can ever really be controlled.” "Usually I can manage without any emotion. It was unusual for me to loose control." [/b] The Titan said, frowning as she remembered that. The kitten was easy to get an attachment to and she stroked Sora and tickled her under the chin. Raven smiled as she tickled the kitten's chin, looking at the small creature that she had lost control over her emotions over. It was worth having the kitten there, although if she had been more controlled then maybe things wouldn't have turned out as they did. Maybe she would have been able to keep her powers under control and wouldn't be worried when she felt any negative emotions passing through her. “I suppose if I had an unstable power source, I would want a way to be stopped as well.” Well, that was a good sign for Sinestro, if he would agree that being stopped when dangerous was a good idea. “She is fine- she had food not that long ago. Though she may still act like a starving beast just to get some of what you’re eating. She seems to like sharing.” Raven smiled and moved to scratch Sora under the ear. "She is friendly and I am glad that she is getting better."[/b] The Raven commented as she moved to make sure that the kitten wouldn't decide that affection for her meant sharing a meal. The kitten looked put out for a second and the Titan gave a smile as she watched the small changes on the kitten's features. “I hope it tastes alright. I may starve if I don’t find more variety in foods I don’t loathe eating.” Raven wondered how she could help with no idea of what kind of food was prefered by Sinestro or his kind. As he took a bite, so did Raven, the Titan being very delicate and careful. It tasted good, better than some of the food that she had been subjected to at the tower. When the teenagers decide to cook their own food it rarely turned out popular with everyone. “It’s nice,” "Definitely better than some of the food that I have had at Titan's Tower."[/b] She admitted. “Your friends- the titans, as you call them. If they have measures to kill you, you must trust them quite a bit. I don’t think there were very many within my team that I would consider worthy of such things.”"We are not really a team, we are more of a family. Yes some go and leave, but for some of us it is more of a family than we've had before." Raven said, the main point of the Titans were that they were a family, some had struggled with that as people did die. But no matter what they were family. [/blockquote][/div] [/style]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] Sinestro couldn’t imagine running off of emotions- trying to keep them completely off the table. Sure, he didn’t like his emotions, but he knew how powerful they were. More than that, there were no real repercussions if he happened to let one get the better of him one day. For her, the situation seemed more dire. He didn’t really know what that was like. At most he could relate thinly through the use of his will power and his green lantern ring. If he didn’t have it in control, his will was strong enough to break the ring he wore, and if he let fear get the better of him, then his ring wouldn’t work at all. It was a fine line between having power and losing it, and Sinestro had grown used to using just the right amount to get the job done.
Perhaps one day she would know that kind of control.
She seemed pretty fond of Sora for someone who didn’t like emotions, and it made him smile. The kitten had wormed her way into his heart as well, though he couldn’t say how it had happened. He had helped countless adorable weaklings in his time, and never had he wanted to take one home to keep forever. It meant having to look after it. More obligation for someone who was already pretty busy. Why should he waste his time looking after some brainless little beast who could not take care of herself? Quite simply, because he liked her. It made him feel content, almost peaceful, having her around, which out-weighed the costs of caring for her. Whatever magic she was capable of, she had him decidedly under her spell. Raven too, as it turned out.
“She is very friendly,” he confirmed, “which I guess is a bit strange, considering her owner.” He shrugged his shoulder, aware of his anti-social tendencies. Still, he seemed to have a lot of guests for someone who wasn’t supposed to like company.
He ate and listened as she talked about the titans, leaning back in his seat for a moment as he considered what she had said. “A family?” He hummed, clearly not too keen on the idea. “Wouldn’t that be dangerous? Being so closely connected to the beings you work with; it can compromise things if they are taken hostage, or if they die in battle. Wouldn’t your links for control also become your breaking point, should something happen to them?” He didn’t mean for it to be any kind of critique, he was simply curious. To someone who hadn’t had a ‘friend’ in a long time, he couldn’t see the purpose of it. Having someone you cared about that much on the battlefield screamed ‘bad idea’ to him.
“I understand wanting a family,” he said after a moment, “I just don’t know about working with them in the field. Knowing Soranik is a Green Lantern does delight me, but on the flip side I do dismay that she is in the same kind of troubles I often find myself in. I would prefer she stay on Oa and work there as a doctor, rather than take part in the fun of protecting a sector. Family… it’s more of a burden then anything else.” He frowned thoughtfully, wondering how he would react if something ever did happen to his daughter.
He would likely go on a rampage and destroy the home world of the creature that had hurt her, making every last being suffer unconditionally before getting rid of the whole planet. And he wasn’t someone who was prompted by his emotions. He had to wonder just how off her rocker she would get if one of her ‘titans’ was killed. If she nearly killed someone for a kitten, would she lose complete control of herself?
Seemed like a risk to him.

They provided her with a home and a family that she had never had. The emotional climate was often something that she could cope with as well. Still, they hadn't had any kittens at the Tower and Sora was adorable and very relaxing to be with. Maybe she would have to see about having a kitten. "If you ever need someone to look after Sora for some of the time, you can always contact me." Raven smiled, as she tickled Sora's tummy. The kitten was distracting the Titan from eating and she sometimes did pause to eat, before returning her attention back to the small little bundle of fur. If asked, she could say Sora might want to share her food unless she got attention.
“She is very friendly,” Raven smiled, taking another bite of food before playing with the kitten. Maybe it wasn't the politest of things, but she was adorable. “which I guess is a bit strange, considering her owner.” "Give her time, she's only a kitten. I've heard that cats are generally less friendly. Although I've seen a fair few friendly ones." [/b] Raven commented. Cats were rather like humans, only generally with more of them being aloof and not caring too much. “A family?” Raven could tell that Sinestro did not appear that keen on the idea. “Wouldn’t that be dangerous? Being so closely connected to the beings you work with; it can compromise things if they are taken hostage, or if they die in battle. Wouldn’t your links for control also become your breaking point, should something happen to them?”"We've lost members before. And some have been taken hostage. But we help one another remember our morals."[/b] Raven smiled. “I understand wanting a family,” Raven listened. Sinestro knew what it was like to have a family, while Raven had been raised apart from her birth parents (although it wasn't like she wanted to be raised by her father). “I just don’t know about working with them in the field. Knowing Soranik is a Green Lantern does delight me, but on the flip side I do dismay that she is in the same kind of troubles I often find myself in. I would prefer she stay on Oa and work there as a doctor, rather than take part in the fun of protecting a sector. Family… it’s more of a burden then anything else.” Raven remembered that sometimes there had been problems with relationships within the Titans. "We have had some problems like that. But when there are relationships. Sometimes a member tries to look out for their other more than the team. Nightwing and Starfire were a bit like that. Wondergirl and Superboy. But as a family we get on and normally I'm much better at controlling my emotions."[/b] The Titan frowned as she thought about that, wondering what had caused her slip. "Although a physical attack is not the worst that I can inflict."[/b] She added. If it came to it, her more powerful attacks were closer to mental. [/blockquote][/div] [/style]
