And if you had any hair I'd take that too!"
Hair: It should be noted that Xander can shift his appearance at will to suit his whims of the moment, however in his natural form he does have a preference. He prefers to have his hair cut low in his natural form, considering that it is a more clean appearance in his general appearance. Regardless of the form he takes, body hair is kept low, almost to a minimum as he prefers not to be seen as hairy or unkempt. He has the appearance of being freshly shaven at virtually all times. In all of his forms, Xander typically has either the black hair of his natural form or silver-white hair.
Eyes: In his natural form, Xander possesses eyes that are dark brown. His irises are so dark that they have been mistaken for being completely black more than once. Within decent lighting however, they are revealed to be of the darkest shade of brown preceding black. In other forms, Xander does enjoy a slight inclination towards more exotic colorations; the most common colors that he enjoys are green, indigo, and when he is infuriated his eyes have been known to become crimson as a sign of his anger.
Height: 6' 0"
Weight: 200 lbs
Distinguishing Marks: Regardless of what form he takes, Xander always has a mark in the shape of an Ankh upon his person somewhere. Most commonly this mark can be seen as a tattoo or a scar upon his chest, in the center of his torso. Inside this ankh another mark can be seen, which is a scar in the shape of an X that runs across his torso.
Appearance:
Xander, whose demi-god blood runs strong in his veins, has dark eyes, the color of exceedingly dark chocolate. Arguably, his eyes have become darker in color ever since he became a demi-god, shifting from a pure 'dark brown' to a darker color altogether. His hair is typically kept short and clean, though in other forms can be long and unkempt. His toned body can best be described as just that: toned and athletic, a perfect example of human physique at its prime. This is generated by the fact that as a mortal, Xander kept himself fit for a human and enhanced his physique when he became immortal. Xan's skin is in natural form chocolate brown, though he can lighten or darken it at his leisure. Two permanent scars shaped as jagged lines dance across Xanthus' torso and intersect in the middle of his chest, forming a large letter X that is clearly visible when his shirt is off, being visible within the ankh.
As far as clothing would be concerned, Xander is one to dress for the occasion; on typical days, when nothing is to be expected that would call for more formal clothing, Xanthus usually wears a long black leather jacket over a form-fitting white shirt, pure black jeans that are perfectly fitted to his form and held onto his waist area by a black belt, black gloves, black socks and shined black leather boots. On occasion a black button-up shirt might cover the white shirt. On more formal occasions, Xander will wear a suit that is always one of three colors: black, grey, or rarely a white suit. Either way the suit will appear to have been perfectly tailored to fit his form, and will feature a tie that will have an ankh tie-piece in the center.

Personality:
Xander Daemon Megalos is beyond all shadows of doubt a man of thought; he enjoys thoughts and he enjoys thinking those thoughts. He also typically enjoys sharing those thoughts with others, particularly when he feels that he can somehow gain something from the sharing. An intelligent individual by virtually all standards, human or otherwise, Xander carries himself as and considers himself to be a 'learned' person, having vast stores of knowledge and information and knowing very well how to use both to his advantage. He enjoys reading, considering it to be one of his chief pastimes, as well as the instrument by which to sharpen his mind. 'I have multiple weapons, among them being my shadows and my swords. However, my most powerful weapon is my mind. And, just like any blade or any skill, the mind needs honing and sharpening. Books satisfy that need and so I read. Simple as that.'
Three of his greatest strengths are also three of his greatest weaknesses if one knows how to cleverly exploit them in such a way that Xan has no idea that the exploitation is occurring. In no particular order, his self-proclaimed greatest strengths are his curiosity, his ambition, and his magic. In particular, Xan values his magic, saying rarely: 'Without me, my magic is but a mere shadow of itself, but without my magic, I am less even than the shadow of myself.' Xander is cunning, clever, intelligent and almost never goes into a situation without a plan, even one driven purely by impulse will suffice so long as there appears to be victory on the opposite side. He seems to enjoy manipulation to some degree, frequently and purposely incorporating it into his plans in various ways and against various peoples; sometimes going so far as to be what others might refer to as 'ruthless.' However, there is something of a human side left to him, and he typically does recognize when manipulation has gone a step to far.
Xander prides himself on not treating separate people differently based upon their ranks or accolades, but on their personality and the amount of respect shown to him at any particular meeting, meaning that it frankly does not matter at all to him if one person is a General or if they are the lowest ranking member of their military; both will be treated with respect until they have proven themselves unworthy of receiving it.
"With great power comes great responsibility"
Powers:
Heliopolitan Physiology: Xander possesses physical attributes that are on par with other deific beings. Thus he possesses strength, speed, and durability that far surpass any mortal. Without magical augmentation, Xander is capable of lifting fifty tons and running non-stop for several days without tiring.
Regenerative Healing Factor: Like all members of the Heliopolitan race, Xander is capable of healing with superhuman levels of speed and efficiency if injured. He is capable of regenerating missing limbs or organs.
High-Level Magic: Xander is capable of manipulating great quantities of magical energy for a variety of uses including firing powerful beams of energy, temporarily augmenting his physical attributes, teleporting across great distances and dimensions, granting superhuman powers to living beings or inanimate objects, etc. His magical abilities tend to be Egyptian themed, though whether this is derived from the origin of his powers or if it is just a personal preference has never been revealed.
Weapons
Ankh Staff - Summoned with a thought from the seal on his chest, the ankh staff is a formidable weapon that Xander created using his magical abilities. The staff is a conduit for his abilities, empowering his magic when it is being utilized. The staff is in fact indestructible in a sense; it can be broken, but it cannot be utterly destroyed.
Strengths/Abilities:
Deity of Magic - Being the demi-god of magic, Xander has access to high-level spell-like abilities. His powers are formidable and are on superior to most spellcasters, being on par with other deities and high-level sorcerers.
Font of Knowledge - Derived from the memories of the ancient Heliopolitan gods, Xander has a knowledge of people, places, and events that his human lifespan should not enable him to have. His expertise comes mainly in the form of history, knowledge of arcana, and mythology, though it is varied.
Deific Linguist - Xander is capable of speaking in the tongue of the gods, a language that all can hear and understand. Simultaneously he hears everything in languages that he can understand, because he understands all languages that can be spoken or written.
Weaknesses:
Power-bound - Though it is not due to honor or arrogance, Xander has a peculiar habit of scaling his powers on most occasions. This means that he uses his abilities at a level determined by his opponent; when he is battling against a relatively weaker opponent, his abilities tend to be used in a more reserved fashion.
Magical Combatant - Though he can hold his own in physical combat, Xander is not a martial expert and can be brought low by a pure onslaught of physical damage. By his own admittance, his body is actually rather fragile in comparison to true gods. Though he his enhanced durability, in physical combat he would fall to a superhuman with enhanced strength in prolonged martial combat.
Neophyte Deity - Though he has a few years to 'get used' to his emerging powers, a few years is scarcely enough time to master the powers of a god. His lack of 'real-world' experience with using his powers makes itself apparent in limitations that he unconsciously places upon himself. In other words, his mortal nature has not accepted his godly nature in its entirety, thus he has a ways to go before he can begin to unleash his full power in earnest.

History:
The Heliopolitan Demi-god of Magic had his origins as Xander Daemon Megalos, first son and second child of his parents, the middle born between an older sister and a younger brother whose names and stories are best saved for another time. His parents were researchers from America, but spent much of their time in Egypt performing research on various topics; history, culture, and mythology merely to name a few. Being that the family spent so much time in America and Egypt, Xander grew to be attached to both cultures and understood each one well enough to match the citizens (he was a dual-citizen.) Egyptian mythology had always captured the young Xander's attention to an extraordinary level, such that he became 'learned' in its lore at a young age and sharpened that lore over time. He knew every version of almost every story told in the Egyptian myths in the way that American children knew the names of numbers of their favorite sports players. His love of mythology grew as he became older, and as he grew older he began to 'research' along with his parents as an 'assistant.'
In his late teens, Xander accompanied his parents and a team of scientists that were sent to explore an ancient Egyptian tomb that had yet to be thoroughly researched into. Within this tomb, the mortal found the key to becoming immortal within the confines of the dusty burial ground. A necklace, rumored to have belonged to the Egyptian goddess Isis, hung around the neck of a statue deep within the tomb. Waiting until no one could see, Xander took the necklace and placed it within a pack he had brought along that carried his supplies. He had not acted out of greed, but out of the same wonder that he had carried since he was a child.
Having worn gloves to the inside of the tomb, Xander first touched the necklace with his bare hands when he was safely within the confines of his own room in his parent's household. When his flesh made contact, he heard the voice of a female speak as though it were right next to him. It told him in the most beautiful voice that he had ever heard that he was entitled to ask one question in exchange for having found the necklace. Humanity can always recognize the voice of divinity, thus Xander knew that it was in fact Isis herself who spoke. One question that Isis had the power to answer in exchange for having found her necklace. Being a master of mythology, especially Egyptian mythology, Xander knew of one question that he could ask if he dared. Isis was the Egyptian goddess of magic only because she stole Ra's power through the knowledge of his secret name. The teenager asked the question: "All-knowing Isis, what is the secret name of Ra?" Being bound to give a truthful answer, Isis gave Xander the knowledge of Ra's secret name, which empowered him with Ra's divine magical abilities.
Because he was born mortal, the knowledge of Ra's secret name did not make him completely divine. It did however grant him abilities that were beyond his mortal bodies' ability to handle. His first use of the magic was to create a new body for himself that could handle the utilization of a deity's magical abilities. This demi-god form had his appearance, but simultaneously appeared on a subtle level to be greater than what he had once been. His mortality burned away with his mortal form, Xander ascended to become a demi-god, the demi-god of magic. A few years have passed since then, with Xander having moved back to America as a millionaire after his parents 'miraculously discovered' oil on their properties in both America and Egypt. He has kept his powers a secret from virtually all mortals, though the Heliopolitans obviously know of him and so far are the only beings he knows to have the knowledge. He has returned in the midst of the chaos created by the clash of the worlds, and has yet to truly discover his part in everything. As a demi-god with no true agenda, Xander is for now an almost blank slate.

Writing Sample:
It was a quiet night in the city, the stars were out and in their twinkling could be seen a perfect harmony of balance in the multiverse. A lone figure walked along the streets, whistling a tune that sounded remarkable if unidentifiable to anyone who was less than one hundred years old.
Short cut hair with a neat trim decorated the dark-skinned crown of his head, while sunglasses dominated the attention of anyone attempting to look into his eyes. He wore a simple form-fitting white shirt underneath a light matte-colored jacket that he wore opened completely. The crisp night air of the city occasionally blew the bottom of his jacket around, creating the billowing effect that he seemed to adore so much. His black pants and equally dark boots completed the dark colored clothing that he was wearing and allowed him to achieve a partial blending in to the darkness around him.
"Now, I know what you are thinking..." Xander said to a mortal friend of his to whom he had just finished telling a story that was essentially his story though not with him as the main character. "...how did the mortal get away with learning Ra's secret name?" The male next to him lifted an eyebrow, curious to know how Daemon, the main character in Xander's story, kept the Heliopolitans from turning him to dust after he became a demi-god. "Well the truth is, the mortal made a deal with the true gods of Egypt. He was allowed to retain his status as the demi-god of magic on the condition that he never use his powers against the Egyptian Gods, and that he never divulge the secret of Ra's secret true name to anyone in existence...ever. He of course readily accepted, and thus he retained his deity-level magical abilities and now walks among us even now." His friend simply nodded and they continued their walk in peace. For some odd reason, the friend appeared to miss the smell of desert sand that blew in from the east as Xander had been relating his tale
