Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/bluemiddle.png] The faint beeping of the heart monitor beside him hadn’t been a bother to him for the past couple of days. He’d been out like a light, sleeping in some semblance of peace after the encounter he’d had with the figment from his past. Thanks to the injuries he had sustained, he had been pretty much unconscious for some time, just recovering his strength. However, that time of implemented peace had come to a close, the steady beeping of the monitor actually stirring him from his well-deserved sleep.
Groggy, he opened his eyes, the blurry world slowly finding solid shapes and figures around him. Blinking, he took a moment to look around the area, a little out of place after everything that had happened. The last he had known, he had been on a beach, lying on his stomach with waves brushing against him. If not for the pool of blood and the horrible pain, it might have been a very nice memory. Too bad a whole fight had gone down prior to the moment, resulting in a less than savory memory for the green lantern. Still, as far as he could tell, he wasn’t on the beach anymore, and it didn’t seem like he was on Oa, either. He had only been to the medical facility there once, but he remembered the tech had been much more advanced. There had also been a noticeably larger portion of green compared to the white-washed room he found himself in at that moment.
It took a little while for things to register, but he eventually came to the correct conclusion that he was in some human hospital. Turning his eyes down his chest, he noticed that he was hooked up to all sorts of strange, unfamiliar machines, most of the cords slipping under the blanket that had been placed over him. Still, he imagined he couldn’t have been in the best shape if he had so many things stuck in him, helping him out. How many had been placed there by his daughter? The memories were cluttered, but he knew she had played a large part in him even being able to open his eyes at that point. Without her, he would have died on the beach, he knew it even if he couldn’t fully remember everything that had happened.
How strange, to be saved by your daughter. Especially when your daughter had hated you not that long before.
Taking a breath, he moved a hand to his face, pulling off a mask that had been helping him with some additional oxygen. Such strange machines- and he was stuck right in the middle of them. Somehow, he felt a little more like an experiment than a patient, though perhaps that was just because the technology was just so underdeveloped that it looked partially like torture equipment of some kind. There were the humans, too. Why were they helping him? Shouldn’t they be calling their police forces and scientists to have him thoroughly investigated inside and out? It all seemed too peaceful, and it made him uncomfortable.
He had been awake thirty seconds, and already he wanted to peel off all the cords and needles and take his leave of the place.
His weakened body, however, seemed adamantly against the idea, every movement a struggle against gravity. Well, maybe he didn’t need to move right away. He probably needed to focus on regaining some strength first, anyway.

All her injuries had been healed in the first hour. There were quite a few advantages to being a half demon, although Raven more often considered the problems to be larger than the benefits. Raven sat cross legged on the floor, candles and incense lit around her. The teenager was meditating, as she did each morning. In the past few days it had been easier to meditate, Raven had contacted some other Titans (finally) and was working on Titans Tower. This meant that Raven had a permanent abode. A place were she would certainly be allowed to light candles and incense.
The Titan noted the moving of emotions away from her and also that the telephone was ringing. It was morning, the sun was rising, a call this early was something serious. Getting up, Raven answered the phone. "The patient... Sinestro... is awake." A doctor explain on the phone, sounding unsure about Sinestro's name. It had been the Titan who had dealt with the legal papers. Soranik had worried the doctors and Raven was left with the impression that they were probably nervous about Sinestro, hence her being called when the Lantern awoke. "Can you come over?" The doctor added tentatively. "I'll be over as soon as I can." [/b] Raven replied, before putting the phone down. With that she moved over to the candles and blew them out, one by one. Then she extinguished the incense and glanced around her room, making sure that all would be safe. Having worked on the tower for only a few days, Raven hadn't managed to do much about her room. There was no electrics working and the room itself was rather bare. It just had a bookshelf, bed and equipment for meditating. It didn't look like she had missed any candles or incense, so Raven put her cloak on and teleported into the hospital, which thankfully wasn't that far from Titans Tower. Arriving, Raven briefly had words with the doctor, who shared Sinestro's present condition. The teenager nodded as she listened carefully to what he had to say. Sinestro hadn't been healing as quickly as Raven would like. Then, she was lead to the room which contained Sinestro and let in. Silently slipping in, the Titan looked at the many machines that surrounded the alien. Guilt threatened to prick at her and it did. Her meditation had been interrupted and so it was more of a struggle to keep them at bay, but the teenager would try. The guilt was due to the fact that Sinestro was in a terrible condition while Raven was perfectly fine. Silently Raven flew over to a chair near Sinestro and sat down. The doctors were nervous of Sinestro, there emotions were now obvious. The closer doctors to this room had worry and slight slivers of fear. The further doctors had emotions that could be considered normal, something that humans would be feeling more often. "Sorry I didn't bring a card this time."[/b] Raven said softly, aware that Sinestro was awake and that he didn't like his confinement. The teenager's words were soft, almost as if she was nervous. Raven was just concerned for Sinestro's health.[/blockquote][/div] [/style]

Sinestro had been admitted to hospital. Doctor Fate had seen it, just as he had seen everything leading up to it. And honestly, it was his own fault. Sinestro chose not to pay heed to Fate's warnings, despite all the times Fate had told him to be careful, and now he was paying the price. If he had any kind of sympathy, it wouldn't be employed in this situation. Even now, as he looked right through the wall of the hospital, into Sinestro's room, he only felt a twinge of sympathy for the alien green lantern. A decision was made in an instant. Fate would visit him.
A golden ankh silhouette appeared on the wall in Sinestro's room, shining brightly along with the lights, and heralding the arrival of the Lord of Order. The aformentioned lord stepped out of the ankh and into the room, casting quite the impressive silhouette before the glowing symbol vanished, leaving Fate alone with Sinestro. "I do not wish to say "I told you so."" Fate said, without a hint of emotion in his voices "But I did tell you to be careful, and now you pay the price." He may have come across as a little harsh.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/bluemiddle.png] Sinestro was still in the midst of waking himself up when a doctor and a nurse moved into the room, checking his vitals and generally just making sure he was still hanging in their. Neither were too interested in having his daughter yelling at them again, whether it was in English or whatever language they seemed to be use normally, so they were doing their best to keep their very foreign guest stable. The nurse paused a moment when she heard Sinestro moving, muttering to the doctor before he told her to get someone to call ‘his friend’. Sinestro wasn’t really sure what was going on. All he knew was that there was a strange man leaning over him, talking to him in a language he was finding difficult to comprehend. Right… he didn’t have a charge to his ring. This was English. Just like when he had been in the operating room, and he had heard his daughter speaking strangely. Then, his mind had been too addled for him to understand anything, but now he could actually figure out what the words were supposed to mean. Good thing he had learned English when he had been training Hal.
Back then, he had thought he would need it, if he ever wanted to just visit his friend and spend the day with him on earth. How things had changed since then. Now he was using the language to try and figure out what the doctor was saying was wrong with him. Something about his leg being horribly damaged.
Maybe his mind wasn’t perfectly ready to translate things yet.
It felt like it had been only a couple of seconds before he found Raven suddenly hovering over him, but he imagined he may have actually fallen back to sleep at some point. Being in and out of consciousness was not something he was entirely used to, even as a warrior. Slowly, he turned his head towards the young girl in the chair next to him. His mind was clearer than it had been before, and he heard her gentle joke.
“That’s alright,” he said in a faint whisper of a voice, “I don’t really get the point of them, anyway.” Though he felt like he had been dragged behind a car for three days, he managed to chuckle faintly, offering her the slightest of smiles. He could sense the fear around them- the humans in the hospital who didn’t quite trust their guest. What did they think he was going to do, stuck in a bed with barely enough energy to hold a conversation? Stupid humans.
He really didn’t like them.
So he focused on Raven, looking her over the best he could. “You’re still alright... right?” He asked, “I don’t… really remember…” He knew they had been hurt, but the details were blurry to him at best. Still, he felt the slightest hint of guilt- they had been hurt because they had been sucked into his mess. His previous life. Normally, he didn’t care who got dragged down with him, but they were special. His daughter and a young girl he really enjoyed the company of. A second daughter, of sorts. Thanks to him, they could have both been killed.
And then, as if on cue to rub his nose in it, Fate appeared. Sinestro winced against the bright light, turning his head from the man’s spectacular entrance until the icon disappeared. He frowned, listening to what the entitled man had to say. Yes, he remembered the warnings. Maybe he shouldn’t have been messing with chemicals and getting himself sick when he knew trouble was on the horizon. But, in his defense, he hadn’t believed a word Fate had said to him.
“I was being careful,” he growled, “I was lying in a bed, recovering from the flu… it’s not like I was looking for trouble. Anyway… how do I know you didn’t send her after me to try and prove a point yourself?” Though his words were accusing, his voice was tired, lacking in the anger it should have carried with someone telling him he had been wrong. Naturally, he didn’t usually like that.

It was an occupational hazard when being classed as a hero. Unfortunately for Raven it was always when her friends were in dire situations. Usually Raven could heal them, but with Sinestro it would have been at the expense of her life. More than once situations had been like that. The fewer the better in the Titan's opinion. “That’s alright,” So Sinestro was stirring, although he didn't sound well. Concern flooded the Titan at this, the teenager had been by herself for a while and was used to things healing faster. “I don’t really get the point of them, anyway.”
Raven wondered whether to permit herself a smile at the thought of Sinestro getting family and friends bringing him flowers and Get Well Cards like they did on earth. She doubted he would enjoy that. “You’re still alright... right? I don’t… really remember…” That was understandable. "I'm fine, I healed within an hour. It was only minor. Soranik should be fine as well." [/b] The Titan said, updating Sinestro to the best of her knowledge. "I don't know where the attacker is. She fled when I made her feel fear. You sensed the fear as well. I'm sorry about that."[/b] As far as Raven was aware she had not been direct with her power, Sinestro had felt the fear and Raven felt guilty because of that. But Raven was aware that she was not the only one feeling guilty, there was some guilt within Sinestro. "It was not your fault that she attacked."[/b] The Titan commented. Just then there was a light and Raven caught the Egyptian symbol that was known as the Ankh. The Titan shielded her eyes against the light. The teenager could be considered a creature of the dark and the light didn't always agree with her. Then out of the Ankh came Doctor Fate. The teenager was reminded of her meeting with him and the emotional outburst that she had and remained silent. "I do not wish to say "I told you so."" It appeared that Doctor Fate was talking to Sinestro and Raven decided not to bring any attention to herself for the time being. After all she hadn't gotten in a full meditation this morning. "But I did tell you to be careful, and now you pay the price." The teenager frowned. Doctor Fate had appeared rather nice when she met him but Doctor Fate didn't seem to like Sinestro. Both seemed like perfectly nice people to her. “I was being careful,” Raven cast her mind back to just before the attack. Sinestro had been resting with the fly. Admittedly before that he had been trying to continue working with the flu... which wasn't exactly too careful. The teenager mentally winced when she remembered how she had briefly lost control of her emotions when trying to help Sinestro. “I was lying in a bed, recovering from the flu… it’s not like I was looking for trouble. Anyway… how do I know you didn’t send her after me to try and prove a point yourself?” Sinestro's words sounded like they should be accusative, but there didn't sound like there was any anger in his words. The teenager could tell that he was exhausted. "Maybe we should not accuse anyone of anything and just try to keep everything peaceful."[/b] The teenager suggested, speaking for the first time since Doctor Fate had arrived.[/blockquote][/div] [/style]
