Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

When he had first arrived on earth with his ridiculous mission, he had assumed he would get right to work and complete his task without having to concern himself with humans much at all. He had thought he would not need to assist them in any way, nor would he have to interact with them.
That had been a little misguided.
In fact, it seemed the exact opposite had happened. He had all but forgotten about his original mission and was instead constantly helping humans with their silly needs, saving them from themselves on a daily basis. More than that, he had actually gotten to know some of them. It had started out small, with him only passingly greeting them before sending them on their way, but eventually it got to a point where he would continue to meet the same humans again and again. He wasn’t sure when it had happened, but somewhere along the lines he had made… friends. Human friends. Sure, they mostly all had powers or weren’t actually from earth, but still. It was far more than he had thought possible when he first arrived. But the most jarring thing was probably that his mind frame was changing, too. Things he had considered needed and the right thing to do, he suddenly started seeing fault with. Old ways that he had given up were starting to prove their merit again. He was starting to think he had been wrong about a lot of things. But he… he didn’t like thinking that way. He didn’t like guilt.
Sighing to himself, the Green Lantern frowned, trying to make some kind of sense of his current situation and how all the changes had managed to come about. There was really only one thing he managed to take away from his long, hard think, however:
He shouldn’t be lost in thought in the middle of a fight.
The yellow lantern he was currently battling roared in frustration, missing one arm but still willing to swing wildly with the other three. He was a large fellow with a head shaped something like earth’s vampire bat, save for long, misshapen spikes poking out down his head and over his shoulders. Four arms and a long tail made it built for dealing out damage, which was what had earned it a spot in the Sinestro Corps in the first place. However, it didn’t seem pleased to be meeting the team’s namesake. Actually, he was rather interested in ripping his head from his shoulders.
Sinestro wasn’t surprised- he knew the yellow lanterns were in the midst of a regime change. Whoever managed to kill him would become the new leader of the corps. An interesting way to decide who was worthy, he supposed, but a foolish choice in the end. None would keep up with the might of Thaal Sinestro.
Which was his last thought before getting cracked in the jaw and sent spiraling down a street and into a parked car. Shaking his head, he peeled himself from the wreck, rubbing his cheek. Thankfully, his ring had protected him from any damage, but damn that first swing had hurt.
He needed to get his head in the game. Cutting off one arm wasn’t going to be enough.

Umbra moved from shadow to shadow, watching the city as it moved. Humanity at its finest, living, breathing, laughing. If New York had taught the Aussie anything it was that there was still an ability to party when you should be crashed out in bed. Though along with this freedom Umbra knew also came the abuse of such a thing. Tonight had been no exception and he had found himself in enough fights already that he would rather forget, yet he knew that ghere was no way he would ever find such luck. Each taken life would haunt him. As Achilles said, they haunt his dreams, beconing to him from across the void with open arms calling out'welcome brother'. This imagery seemed to play in his mind after each kill. Was this Gods way of showing him he was as bad as each of the criminals? He could see the wisdom. Even now, as he moved through his shadow realm the masked man could hear the calls of the voices he had heard escape the lips of the rapists, muggers, thieves and would be murderers he had ended. Was he any better.....
WHAM!! The masked face of Umbra whipped around as he passed the shadow of parkinglot, seeing a green glowing streak slam into a car. There was a triumphent roar and then a yellow streak that began to berral down on the crater that had once been a car. What was this? what exactly had the masked man stumbled apon? For a moment he stood just outside the gateway of the shadow, survaying the scene and making sure that no civilians, police or backup from either odd streak came from every direction. The last thing he needed was to be precieved as an enemy before he found out who was the wrong doer here.
{{OOC: sory that this wasnt exactly my best}}

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/bluemiddle.png] The Green Lantern readied himself to fight again, the bat-like creature clearly pissed off with the loss of an arm, particularly because it had come from a lantern who was nothing but a traitor. It hissed and raged, saying nothing coherent other than curses and threats. Before attacking, however, it turned its red eyes on a pair of humans. The cameraman and reporter had foolishly tried to slip closer to the battle, in an effort to catch what was happening on film. However, they had wandered much too close, and suddenly found themselves breaking the first law of journalism- do not get involved with the story.
They were certainly involved when the yellow lantern pointed his ring at them, blasting a ball of fear-drenched energy without skipping a beat. Sinestro had to react, pointing his ring at the pair as well. But he wasn’t aiming to blast them, but put up a shield to keep them from getting hit. The green appeared just in time, the ball of yellow impacting against it and creating a small explosion of light in front of the horrified pair. They cowered together, but they were safe from harm within the green barrier.
The yellow lantern didn’t seem to care. He took the opportunity while Sinestro was distracted to attack again, charging at him with full force. Sinestro had to pull out of the way quickly to avoid getting rammed into by the massive creature. However, he hadn’t anticipated the lantern’s tail whipping around and wrapping around his neck, yanking him off his balance just enough to give the yellow lantern the advantage. He pulled Sinestro into the air, slamming him against the ground with as much force as he could muster. Sinestro wasn’t bothered- getting slammed around was always something he had to deal with when fighting thugs, and his ring’s barrier absorbed most of the damage. That didn’t make dealing with the tail around his neck any easier though, especially when the yellow lantern started to constrict his tail, cutting off his air supply. Even his ring could not breathe for him.
He gripped at the tail, his ring glowing as he made to create a construct to slice through the flesh. The fear lantern responded by pulsing electricity from his ring through the green lantern, making him yelp in surprise and pain. It continued as he held onto the man’s neck, the villain grinning.
“Die, traitor!” he roared, while Sinestro struggled to focus on his construct. The Green Lantern was not worried- he knew he just needed to pull together his will through the pain and the lack of air. But every second that slipped by made his mind just a little foggier. It was difficult to get his grip. Moreso when the yellow lantern rekindled his fun of throwing Sinestro around like a rag doll on a chain.
