Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

Or claws; curved and digging and sinking under her skin. It was torture for the dark teenager and pain was starting to make itself apparent on her face. The battle seemed to change to Raven. Death was no longer her enemy, any more than the innocent humans that had been made to feel rage. Even her friends, Sinestro and Razer, appeared to be foe, their hatred and rage joining with the anger of the people in the emotional attack on the young half-demon.
It was this that caused her soul-self to veer towards Sinestro and Razer as she sent it out to attack. After all, they were attacking her as much as the alien woman was. More so. Death did not feel rage like the two Lanterns were and it was that emotion that was harming the Titan. “Watch what you’re aiming at!” The thought of attacking Sinestro seemed to appeal to her soul-self and there was only one reason as to why the Titan managed to get control once more. Kara.
The bright emotions from the young Kryptonian was like a beam of light, offering safety. The soul-self returned to Raven and the girl let out a breath as she gravitated towards Kara, focusing on the only emotions that didn't seem to want to tear apart her very being. Love. Happiness. It was bright, but the brightness was better than the pain that came from the rage around her. The innocent emotions protecting her from the sin that seemed to flood the entire city. Slowly, the features on Raven's face relaxed from the tortured face and back into her normal appearance. "I believe we can save the world raven"
Indigo eyes looked towards the blonde as she spoke and the older Titan gave a nod of understanding. "With your emotions and presence, I believe we can. Thank you for you help, Kara. It is much appreciated." |
[/b] Raven said, her voice steady as she turned her gaze to the crowds below her. Instead of leeching, she would give out emotions. Raven could channel Kara's love and happiness and force it onto the crowds below her, to attempt to combat the hatred with the brightness of Kara's self. "Raven, if you are not too busy, assistance would be appreciated!"Looking towards the direction of the sound, the teenager saw Razer fleeing from magical orbs, their intent clearly dark. The Titan had not seen their creation, nor had she seen the effect that they had on the human that one had attacked but she knew that Razer faced a dangerous situation and that her soul-self would be called on. Thankfully, with Kara's emotions, Raven thought she would have more control over the darkness within her. Then she noticed another subtle change. Razer's emotions were calming. That was useful in itself and the teenager's cloak billowed up as the dark raven leapt from her and rose up between the Red Lantern and the orbs, the bird spreading out it's wings in a dark embrace to try and absorb the orbs into Raven's soul-self where the magic could be neutralised.[/style] tags:Sinestro, NPC, Kara, Razer, Open word count: ??? muse: Sound of Silence/Angel of Darkness notes: Lost my first post. The young blonde made her way down to the humans, she began to try and stop them from harming one another. Pulling people away from eachother saving babies from their angerd parents, there was all so meny people trying to harm one another, kara couldn’t help but start to feel a little sad for everyone. But she knew she couldn’t keep that feeling around, seeing she had a emotional conetion to raven she wanted to only feel good emotions. So the young blonde again started to think about her happy thoughts on earth.
Once kara had finished saving most of all the little children she could find, kara was tired. She looked up to see Sinestro, razer and raven still working on the death lady. She still wasn’t sure how she could help, that is all she wanted after all, to help her father figure in any way she could. Sure she would ask him but she knew it was not the time to ask questions, the young girl made her way back to Raven and Razer in hopes of helping them out. Kara stayed close to raven allowing her to pick up on her good emotions, this time karas emotions went to the adoring of Sinestro, she would follow him anywhere. Because no matter what he was her father figure and what he said was always right.

Post by T.J. "Blue Lantern" Carson on Mar 23, 2013 5:37:52 GMT -5
T.J. had been L.A. sight seeing when it happened. His ring started beeping like crazy making him aware of what was happening in San Francisco. Well, made him somewhat aware. He didn't have all of the details. But he knew it was big. Now T.J. was shooting through the sky towards San Francisco. Whatever was going on, he was sure they could use his help. Even if they had things under controlled, which it did not seem to be according to his ring, it couldn't hurt to have a Blue Lantern around.
T.J. was baffled by what he saw. All of the people . . . they were just so . . . hostile and full of rage. His ring informed him that it was not normal. He would have went straight to the main battle which he could easily see going on above the city. He had known there was a Green Lantern there the moment he arrived due to the his ring's skyrocketed power level. He was sure Sinestro was realizing the increase in his own right about now. Unfortunately, T.J. got held up on the ground trying to stop various different rage-filled humans from killing one another. Most notably on the Golden Gate Bridge. All those people stuck in bumper to bumper traffic were already inches away from strangling one another in bumper to bumper traffic. Now? They had began fighting each other. A more organized group had attacked the police that were on scene due to a car crash and the police had opened fire on the civilians. Fortunately, T.J.'s ring provided the unique ability to calm others. Hell, if the ring was able to bring Red Lantern's back to the light then it could most certainly heal these people, artificial rage or not.
T.J. looked up seeing Raven's soul self almost hit Sinestro and a Red Lantern. The only one in the battle above that he recognized was Sinestro. But he could tell who the enemy was based on what was happening. T.J. lifted his arm to the sky and a large thick blue beam shot high into the air. It stretched out into a large blue bubble over the city and what seemed to be blue droplets of energy began to fall from the bubble onto the rage-filled citizens and tourists of San Francisco. flew into the air as it began. It wasn't powerful enough to cure a Red Lantern, but it would be enough to remove the artificial rage that was consuming the civilian populace of San Francisco. The effects would start immediately, but the process would take a little bit. "Stop this madness," T.J. said as he flew into the fray of the battle. His eyes moved over the situation scanning everything.
T.J. saw the rage on Sinestro's face. He hadn't seen any emotion on the man before. At least not that powerful. He had a bad very bad feeling about it. He feared Sinestro might be going over the edge. But he believed in Sinestro. He believed he'd be able to gather himself again. "Sinestro, calm down. You don't want to push yourself over the edge! Control your rage," T.J. pleaded with the korugan. His arm was still up as he kept the blue energy dome above as it healed the civilian population of the artificial rage. Artificial rage was a bit easier to get rid of then pure rage. Then again, he felt as if he was having help in doing so. Perhaps one of the others was an empath. "If you let your anger control you, you'll make fatal mistakes. Think of how far you've come. All the good you've done. Don't take a step backwards, Sinestro. Whatever this is, it's not worth it." T.J. pleaded. Though he assumed he probably needed a bigger push. His eyes moved to Raven. It was clear she was having trouble with something, but it didn't look like she was injured. In fact, his ring said she didn't have any battle damage on her. Perhaps he was right. Maybe she was the empath. He turned his sight back to Sinestro. "If you won't do it for yourself, then do it for your ally at least," T.J. said indicating Raven with his finger, "Can't you tell it's bothering her?"

Everything had been going to plan. Sinestro’s attacks had been getting more violent- more like they had been back when she had seen him slaughtering her people. There was no restraint. No desire to hold back and keep his target alive. It was exactly what she had expected to see. Of course he hadn’t really changed. These humans and beings from other worlds had been tricked by him in some new scheme to cause pain and fear. It didn’t matter what color he wore- he would never anything other than a fear mongering devil. And she had been proving it, too, as the fight progressed. She had been taking some pretty heavy damage, and dishing it out as well. And when she saw his powers to start to grow, she had thought it wouldn’t be long before her plan was finally put into actions. At first, she had thought his powers had been increasing due to his want to stop her. However, it seemed an outside force had been the reason after all.
Another lantern had appeared on the scene- a human boy with a blue ring. It annoyed her to see that there were so many colors to have to deal with. Yellow had been enough- she didn’t need more rainbow threats out there.
But it seemed his ring was not geared for battle, as the others were. It looked as though he was using it to rid the humans of what lingered of her magic. There wasn’t much left in them to have to deal with, since she had relocated most of her power into her nearly completed final spell, but it was still impressive to see the blue light healing their hearts. So a ring that could heal also existed- it was too bad it, too, was aligned with the wrong person. It meant they would have to lose a force for good. She would not grant him any leniency. Even if they had been tricked, they still fought with Sinestro. That meant they were going to have to deal with the consequences of their actions. They never should have believed in him in the first place.
This lantern, it seemed, was more of a threat than any of the others had been. Not because he was more powerful, as that didn’t seem to be the case at all, but because he could see what the others had been too distracted to notice. He could see the changes in Sinestro, and was trying to appeal to him to get him to calm down.
It drove her absolutely mad that Sinestro did not ignore the boy and continue his assault. He actually seemed to be… listening. Like he was regretting getting worked up in the first place.
“No,” she growled lowly. No- she wouldn’t believe he had changed. She wouldn’t believe this wasn’t all some kind of sinister plot from the former yellow lantern, and that he had changed. And even if she did believe it, it was too little, too late. He didn’t deserve to have a new life anyway, not after everything he had done to the universe in the past. It just annoyed her even more to think that he was actually changing, and not the villain she had anticipated him being. It was just too bad she lacked any sense of compassion or guilt- she did not feel that her realization changed her plans. However, it did change her course of action. Sinestro had wavered: he was no longer attacking her as he looked at the blue lantern. It was vital to her plan. She HAD to fight him. In any case, she had assumed his changing might have been real. She had already decided it would be the primary target of her plan.
“Stay out of our fight,” she told the blue lantern, before blasting a large ball of magical energy at him. Sinestro moved in front of it, using his massive boost of power to easily block the orb and send it hurling harmlessly into the air, where it exploded far above them. But that didn’t matter- she shot herself towards him, swords ready to deal more damager. She sliced at him, watching him block her attacks with a construct shield. He had a sword in his other hand now, and she wanted it. She used a spell to make a small rope wrap around his wrist, pulling her hand forward sharply and without his permission. She forced the sword through her chest, much to the apparent surprise of her opponent. Smiling, she watched him.
“You do not… get to have this life,” she told him, blood running from her mouth as a strange purple energy surrounded her like wisps, “you are… a monster… and now… they will all come to know…the same horrors. The horrors you bestowed upon my people. I will… take away all your happiness... as you did to me.” She could hear Sinestro let out a scream as her spell enveloped him, but it would be the last thing she heard. She faded from existence, though she knew she left the world of the living having finally accomplished what she had set out to do with what remained of her life.
She died feeling accomplished. She knew he would suffer, as would all who had been connected to him. It was everything she had wanted it to be.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/blackmiddle.png] Sinestro had been more than ready to kill the woman in front of him- it was what he had wanted to do since seeing her again. He had been too blinded to know what was going on with the others, consumed by a strong desire to get his revenge. And then he felt his powers suddenly increase, making it easier to block and swing attacks at the woman in front of him. Until he managed to pull back from her for a moment to give himself time to breathe. He had taken some heavy hits, and he was bleeding quite profusely. Still, he knew he had a lot more fight in him, especially with the increase of power. A power he might not have even bothered to ask about, had he not heard the blue lantern speak to him. Frowning, he turned his head to look at the other, a little surprised to see all the blue around them. Now when had that barrier gotten there? Just what was going on?
TJ, as he recalled the other’s name being, was telling him not to let his rage get the better of him, and he wanted to get quite indignant about that. He didn’t need some inexperienced whelp telling him how to fight- he knew what he was doing and he wasn’t letting himself get lost in anything. Of course, he couldn’t manage to say any of that, particularly when he looked down towards Raven to see her struggling with all the emotion in the area. It seemed like he had been ignoring some things, at least.
“You’re right,” he sighed, “maybe I was letting myself get caught up in things.” He didn’t like admitting he was wrong, but he imagined this one time it would be alright. He wasn’t the man he used to be- he wasn’t as stubborn as he had once been. Maybe being around Kara, giving in to the things she wanted, had made him soft.
Alright, so maybe the blue lantern had a point.
Sighing, he looked back at the woman he had been fighting. She was looking pretty enraged herself, but it didn’t look like it was because of him. The blue lantern was the one she told to stay out of things, just before launching an attack at him. An attack Sinestro was quick to get in the way of. With his increased strength from TJ’s ring, Sinestro was able to deflect the spell that had been cast at the younger lantern, forcing it up into the air where it sailed for some time before exploding. Sinestro imagined it wouldn’t have been so easy to block the spell if he hadn’t had the increase in strength from TJ’s ring being so close by.
The woman look pissed, and launched herself to attack again. Sinestro didn’t want to get caught up in another battle, but he still wanted to stop her. Perhaps there would be some way to knock her out if the other heroes teamed up with him. Alone, he only seemed a match for her. Raising a shield, he blocked the swing of her swords, creating a sword of his own to try and knock her back with. However, before he could attack, he felt some kind of rope wrap around his hand, pulling it forward with all the force of a normal attack. “Hey!” He snarled, not sure what she was trying to do until the sword drove through her body. He blinked, watching her dangle proudly from the end of his sword, looking at him like she had just accomplished something great. She would kill herself? Just like that? Did she know that she wouldn’t be able to beat them now that he was thinking more clearly and the blue lantern had gotten rid of all the rage in the area? No… that didn’t seem to be the case. As she spoke to him, strange energy seeped from her body, slinking over the sword and up his arm, wrapping around him before it felt like it started to enter his frame. Suddenly, it felt like his inside were on fire, the Green Lantern letting out a yell as he released his constructs and pulled away. The woman’s body had faded completely by that time, only her power still around to circle around Sinestro. He yelled as the dark purple energy encased him in what looked like a fireball, keeping him from view. His pained yells could be heard for a few seconds more, before cutting out completely. Inside the fire, Sinestro felt his perception shifting. He could feel memories slipping away from him, figures and faces losing their meaning. But there was nothing he could do about it. In a moment- it didn’t matter. He found he no longer cared about what he might have been losing. He didn’t think he was losing anything at all. Power- he seemed to be gaining power. He could feel it swirling around inside of him, tainting his ring and altering it. With a yell, power exploded around him, pushing away the purple magic and freeing him from the cage he had been in. It felt like he had been in there for an eternity, and was finally free once more.
But he was not the Green Lantern who had been shut it in. Rather, his outfit was yellow, with a very different emblem emblazoned on his chest. The power fear- that was what he represented, his outfit and ring both what it had once been. The only difference were the small veins of purple energy, barely visible unless close, stretching over his uniform and ring. Everything else was just as he remembered it.
Taking a breath, he smiled, looking around him as though for the first time. There was something missing in his eyes- something living.
“Earth?” he said, confusion leaking into his tone, “now why am I here?”

As Raven's power eliminated the magical orbs that had been trailing him, he ceases his evasive flying, and gives her a quick nod. "Thank you, Raven. I appreciate the help." He did feel a little twinge of annoyance at himself, when he realized that if he didn't have that help, he would be in a much less secure position than he was in right now. His ring had promised to turn his rage into all the power he'd need, to make it so he would never be weak and powerless again. It seemed those words weren't the truth he had taken them to be, the truth he had needed, when his life was shattered.
Floating in, Razer checks up on his acquaintance. He was aware that the anger that had been present in the area, though greatly diminished now, would have a huge affect on her. "I trust you are all right?" He felt slightly guilty over how much control he had lost when the rage had built up to it's peak. It seemed that the only thing that seperated him from the mindless Red Lanterns was degree of power after all...he had thought that he had control that placed him above the horde, that placed him at a level where he could best help his redeemer. But it seemed that was not the case.
However, soon enough, his ring began to blink on and off. It wasn't running out of power...he had got a recharge from Sinestro fairly recently. However, his ring had given him a status alert just as it began to wink out.
---Blue Lantern Corps member # 2814.2 located in proximity. Ring failing---
That blue light! That same infernal energy that the alien Saint Walker had possessed...and it was affecting him while he was a good one-hundred feet in the air. With a cry, he began to fall, his ring unable to muster the strength to slow his descent any meaningful degree. If this was how he was to die...well, it was better than if he had died of heart failure as a result of his ring dying, but it was little better.
As he fell, he managed to see a bit of what was going on. He noticed the Blue Lantern, helping Sinestro deal with the witch. It seemed that even as his own ring was drained, the Green Lantern's power was bolstered by the presence of the blue light. If he wasn't falling from a very unsafe height, he would have found it fascinating, now, he just wished that someone could help.
His ring, however, did have enough reserve power to give him one other timely notification, one that was enough to jolt him out of the moment of falling to his likely death.

The magic orbs were absorbed into the dark bird and the half-demon dealt with them once they were trapped in her realm of oblivion. "Thank you, Raven. I appreciate the help." The teenager did reply immediately as she neutralised the effects of the magic. It was easier as they were disconnected with their caster and thus something that the young magic user was capable of. "It was of no worries, Razer. I should be thanking you for getting your emotions under control." |
[/b] She replied at last. But the rage was still there and it did not seem to be calming itself any time soon, despite her best efforts to calm the crowd with Kara's happiness, love and adoration (that seemed to be aimed towards Sinestro). "I trust you are all right?" The dark teenager looked at Razer, sweat on her brow and the still pained expression on her face, although it was not as great as it had been. "I'm fine. Or I will be once this situation is resolved."[/b] She replied, looking at the Red Lantern. But then the rage seemed to lessen. It still clawed at her being but it was no longer as strong and sharp as it had once been. The teenager suspected that it had something to do with stranger who had appeared, clad in blue and raised a blue shield around them. However it seemed now was no time for respite as Razer was falling, the Red Lantern without any power. As fast as thought, Raven flew towards the falling alien, not as herself but as the black bird known as her soul-self. As she flew she tried to make her soul-self warmer. Catching up with Razer, Raven allowed her soul-self to take him in before landing lightly on the ground and releasing him. "I trust that it wasn't as cold as last time."[/b] Raven commented, moving to raise her shield against the people who may attack them on the ground but everything seemed calm. “Earth?” The teenager looked up from Razer and at the yellow clad man. “now why am I here?” This was not good, Raven had met a Yellow Lantern before and the sudden change of colour was not good either. The young girl was glad, she had always been against fighting. The young girl looked at Raven and Razer and how they were confused or some type of emotion over Sinestro new clothing. Kara thought it made him look handsome, but anything Sinestro did was right in the eyes of this young girl. Kara pushed past everyone and right up to Sinestro, not knowing what she was really getting in to the young girl put her arms around him, hugging him. “Daddy your ok, I’m so glad that lady didn’t kill you, I don’t know what I would do without you.” Kara waited for usual pat that he gave her and the words that would make the situation better. but it never came, maybe it was that special occasion where he was going to hug her because of life treating things.
But sadly the love never came, no matter how small the love was from Sinestro she craved it, but she could feel that something was off, because the normal pat pat Kara it will be ok never came. The young blonde looked up at Sinestro as he glared at her with disapproval. She was his only exception to hugging, but this time he seemed angered. “Daddy are you ok?” Kara began to worried about Sinestro, he was not the same as before, maybe this new uniform was the cause of the change of mood. But she wasn’t going to let that change the fact that she was great full he was not hurt, so to show it the little one snuggled in to Sinestro. “I’m so glad you are ok.” . Post by T.J. "Blue Lantern" Carson on Mar 23, 2013 16:48:10 GMT -5
T.J. watched in horror as what happened and then saw the magic surrounding Sinestro. This can’t be good T.J. thought immediately as he ceased his dome and it returned to his ring. The civilians would be fine now. That was ensured. Though the people on the Golden Gate Bridge still seemed to be rather cranky and rage-filled about their ruined cars and those who’s cars were fine were angry because now the Golden Gate Bridge was closed off and they could not leave. But it was natural to feel anger over that. He was so consumed with what was happening to Sinestro that he did not even realize what was happening with Raven and the Red Lantern. "NOOOO,” He bellowed as he used his ring to burst forward towards Sinestro who was still enveloped in the magic. He could still hear his screams. He lifted his ring hand and made a circle of blue energy around the encased Sinestro, but the magic broke it away. T.J. barred his teeth as he looked pleadingly trying to think of all of his training from Odym. It wasn’t that long ago, but he had not received training for this specific situation.
The screams had stopped now. “No . . .,” he said pleading, “C’mon Sinestro!” T.J. plunged his hand into the magic ball and was blasted away. “Ahhhh!” exclaimed as he was shot away by the ball. He held his arm which was burning and appeared to have serious looking burns on them now. He watched as the ring began to heal it though. He took his eyes off of his injury which still burned and he looked at the magic as it apparently began to disappear. He prayed Sinestro was alright and when he began to see the man he felt relieved and began to move towards him his hand still on his injury as it healed. “Thank the book of Oa you’re alri-,” T.J. began as he began to approach the man but stop dead in his air tracks as he saw the colors of the man in front of him. His happy expression turned into one of sadness. “Sinestro . . . no . . . no, no, no,” T.J. watched Kara’s interaction with Sinestro as he floating closer to him. His face pleading as he shook his head a bit and bit his lip. Daddy? He had known Sinestro had a daughter . . . but . . . he was not expecting what his ring told him was a kryptonian. “When I heard you had a daughter Sinestro . . . I was expecting her to a korugan," T.J. said trying to hide the tiny bit of pain that was in his voice due to both his injury and seeing Sinestro reverted to what he had used to be. He stopped a little bit behind and to the left of Kara.
T.J. let the words Thaal had said about Earth. It seemed he couldn’t remember anything. Perhaps he only remembered his time as Yellow Lantern. This could go very, very bad. So it was best to be cautious and non-hostile. At least until he learned all the details. “Sinestro . . . what did that woman do to you?” He looked in directly into Sinestro’s eyes. “Do you . . . do you remember me? Any of us?” He took his hand off of his wound which was only stinging now thanks to the healing. “. . . she wiped your memory back to when you were . . . a yellow lantern . . . didn’t she . . .” T.J. said as he watched the girl and Sinestro. It seemed that the kryptonian and Sinestro were close.

Blinking, Sinestro turned his sharp yellow eyes on the girl clinging to him, a sense of anger filling him as he remained still and unmoved by her hug. She looked up at him, asking him if he was alright. But it wasn't her concern that had him the most confused- it was her wish to call him father. Growling, he shoved the girl away from him roughly, pointing his ring at her. "I am not your father, child," he snapped angrily, "and keep your filthy hands off of me." With that, he shot a ball of yellow energy at her from his ring, striking her directly in the chest, or at least aiming to. He just wanted to get the weird girl away from him- he couldn't remember her at all. Hearing her call him father only annoyed him, creating a strange desire to hurt her within his corrupted soul. Perhaps hearing things from a life he was no longer allowed any part of had an effect on the magic, and prompted a violent response.
He soon turned his sights from the girl, looking from her to another strange female. This one was in black, and looked as confused as he felt. She, too, seemed to know him, as did the blue lantern moving in front of him. Blue lanterns were trouble- he knew his ring would start to lose power before too long.
Just meant he would have to kill the boy quickly.
Like the others, he seemed to be showing some kind of familiarity with him- like he knew him from somewhere else. Sinestro couldn't say he had ever seen a human blue lantern before, and he wasn't pleased to be meeting one now. But it didn't matter. If nothing else, at least the blue seemed to keep the red lantern from being able to get near him. He couldn't remember blue energy draining red lantern power, but it was welcome nonetheless.
The blue lantern was asking him all manner of strange question, which only pissed him off again. Much like with Kara, he grew quickly hostile, pointing his ring at the other without any kind of hesitation. Even if he did drain the ring more quickly, that didn't mean he couldn't get in one or two good hits. Maybe even a kill, if he played his cards right. Somehow, it felt like it had been too long since he had gotten in a good kill.
"Do not speak to me, blue lantern," he snarled, "I don't know what you're babbling on about, but I will not abide this kind of behavior any longer. Whether you seek to mock or confuse me, you will not succeed. I am beyond you. Any of you." This all had to be some kind of weird trick. Humans were strange and always wanted to try and get one over on others. Their chaos needed to be controlled. Or they needed to be taken off the map. Either way, he didn't mind. He moved back from the blue lantern, wanting to put some space between them to keep a charge to his ring. The humans below started to feel the effects as his ring glowed a bright yellow, their screams of terror as fears came to life in their minds only making Sinestro smile. Why did it all feel so good. So... new?
He couldn't say for sure.
"You would do well to keep back," he warned the blue lantern, "stay out of my way before you get hurt." He then created a small mass of monsters, his construct army charging with a collection of sinister roars towards the blue lantern. With no green lantern in the area, he wondered if the beacon of hope would even be able to defend himself. He certainly hoped not.
Some of the monsters broke away from the group, attacking Kara, Raven and even Razer, snatching him out of the air to land on the ground and pin him against the floor. An inadvertent save Sinestro hadn't even been thinking about.
