Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

Since getting back to his job, it had been one potentially world-ending matter after another. Granted, most of them weren’t actually on earth, but that didn’t make them any less of a pain in the ass to deal with. Naturally, earth had given him the most trouble. It was always the problem planet, like a child who couldn’t stay out of trouble. Recently, it had been a battle to save mutants that he had somehow found himself caught up in. Apparently Diana’s pals in the land of myth didn’t appreciate them, and they had sent all manner of beast to try and murder as many as possible. Well, that was what Sinestro got from it all, anyway. He hadn’t bothered to ask. The battle had been a tough one, what with a building-sized Medusa making things tricky. He had managed to avoid getting turned to stone, but he hadn’t escaped getting bitten by one of the snake heads Medusa had for hair. The poison had very nearly killed him, and his ring was not able to produce an anti-toxin thanks to a curse on it.
It all just added up to him really loathing anything magic-related.
He was still feeling somewhat weak from the poison, and wasn’t in the mood to patrol the city looking for trouble. For one day, at least, the human race would have to fend for itself. He was having a sick day.
All the same, he wasn’t the type who liked to lie in bed and mope through illness. He’d even pick helping humans to lying in bed, especially after what had happened the last time he had tried to take it easy in bed for one day. Trouble wouldn’t leave him alone one way or another, so why bother trying to keep away from it entirely? Even if he wasn’t on the job, he still had his ring charged and he was still ready for anything. He was just… keeping optimistic that he wouldn’t have a hard time.
Though maybe he had picked the wrong company to meet up with if that was what he was looking for.
He floated himself over to Daisy’s apartment, a place he had never been invited to before. Didn’t mean he couldn’t find out where she lived through some simple investigation. Since he felt like he wanted to see her, of course he would figure out where she lived.
He had met her during a battle, and she seemed just as unable to stay out of trouble as he was- hence the thought that spending time with her might not be the best idea for someone who was trying to take it easy. Still, not all their encounters had been dangerous, and he had grown to rather enjoy meeting up with her, regardless of the level of mess they fell into as a result. There was something different about her- something that other humans didn’t quite have within them. He couldn’t place his finger on it, but whatever it was made him want to interact with her more and more.
So he floated to her balcony, landing quietly before looking into the room. With a finger, he tapped the glass, hoping to gain the attention of someone inside, assuming she was there at all. With his other hand, he created a construct cane, leaning against while he waited for his company to join him.

Today was the day of celebration. The day where she didn't have anyone to boss around, and there was no one there to boss her around. She could curl up on the couch with a glass of juice and watch the news, or clean the house. For the first few hours, she watched the news, but things got depressing and reminded her of the work she had escaped from only to be reminded of it through horrible saddening stories on the television.
So, she got out the broom and dustpan, changed from her pajamas into a breezy dress, and set off to making her house clean. She arranged and re-arranged the pillows on the couch, swept the hardwood floors as she hummed softly to herself, swaying with the broom almost as if it were a dance partner. Daisy smiled, and imagined it was a dance partner, a particularly red-skinned one, even if just for a moment.
As she finished sweeping the dirt and trash into the dustpan, she wondered where Sinestro could be at this moment, her eyes focusing in on her orange tabby lurking under the table, beating up a dust bunny. They had met both outside of work and on the job, more times than she would have thought, ever since that first day they met. She'd slowly gotten accustomed to looking for him whenever she was called out on business...
She rolled her eyes and threw away the trash, putting away the dustpan and broom, the flopping back onto the couch, arms thrown back as she relaxed into the fluff that lined the wicker base couch. What was happening to her to make her want to see him again? She'd never been this way with any other guy or girl for that matter.
As the news spewed on, she allowed herself to relax completely, foolishly letting her guard down as she gave herself a well deserved moment of peace. That is until a tapping at her balcony door startled both her and Esmerelda from their moment of peace. Like any wonderful guard cat, Esmerelda raced to the door, slamming against it and yowling like a demon from the deepest bowels of hell.
She got up, broom in hand as she approached the door, but her frown gave way to a bright smile when she spotted her red-skinned friend on the other side. However, how was she going to get him inside without being torn to shreds by Esmerelda. The cat slapped at the glass, claws unleashed, hissing at him for emphasis to prove that she wasn't going to allow any strangers into her momma's home.
Daisy, snatched up the ball of fury, running back to her bedroom, tossing the red and orange beast on the bed and locking the door behind her so the beast wouldn't get out. She raced back to him, her dress flowing and flickering around her knees, a flimsy strap half-falling off her shoulder as she opened the door for him. "Sorry, but I don't think you would enjoy Esmerelda.. She has a tendency to shred clothing and skin, but do come in. I've put her away." she stated breathlessly, motioning for him to come inside her apartment.
She waited till he was inside before she closed the door, a smile stretched across her face as she watched him. "You know, not that I mind you coming over.. But whats the occasion?" she inquired softly, walking over to her fridge to grab the juice bottle and taking a glass from the shelf. She poured herself a glass, and frowned when she realized she was being rude. "Um... Can I get you anything?"

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] Sinestro was surprised to see a cat assault the glass between him and Daisy, looking down at the furry ball of rage with widening eyes. No wonder a human cat was on the red lanterns- they could get angry with the best of them. And for what? Because he happened to be in the area and she just wanted a piece of him? He was glad his kitten didn’t have that tendency to get upset with others. She preferred rubbing faces to ripping them off. He imagined he would not be bringing his kitten over to see this cat anytime soon- he was concerned she might end up getting eaten if he took his eyes off her for a minute.
He watched as Daisy took the cat and shoved her off into another room, though he was more interested in what she was wearing than what she was doing. The way the clothing worked with her as she moved was… appealing. When she returned, he straightened, nodding his head in polite greeting as she allowed him to enter. He smiled faintly, though it didn’t last more than a couple of seconds.
Smiling wasn’t really his thing.
When she mentioned her cat, he nodded. “I suppose cats are diverse as humans seem to be. My Sora doesn’t seem to have the same desire to render skin as yours.” He didn’t seem to mind, though, not about to let a cranky animal get the better of him when he was supposed to be there to enjoy his time with her and just relax for a bit.
She asked him what had brought him there, and he smiled faintly.
“I was thinking I would take you somewhere special,” he told her, “just to get away from things for a little while- are you busy? It might be a somewhat long trip. If you’re up for it, of course.” She asked him if he wanted anything, but the idea of it made his stomach churn. The poison in his system didn’t seem to encourage food or drink, save for some water and some other tasteless things. He shook his head at the offer, though he appreciated the attempt.
For a moment, he watched her, tilting his head slightly to one side, as though he was using the moment to try and figure out just what it was he liked about her. There had to be something that made her different, right? Different from the other humans. That had to be why he found her attractive and the others an annoyance. But she didn’t look different from humans, and she lived as any other. She had powers, sure, but there were plenty of powered beings he hated as well.
But there had to be something… something that made her so much greater than the other humans. What was it? Was it just something in the way she affected him? Nothing tangible, just something on the inside? He didn’t understand. Feelings were… something he had not dealt with in a long time.
Deciding to give up on the wonder for the time being, he waited for her to give him an answer, hoping she didn’t have any plans for the day. Not that it could keep him from doing what he wanted, but it would make her less cross with him and that was always something to be thankful for.
Still, either way, he imagined where they were going would make her forgive him no matter how angry she got with him at first.

She smiled, listening as she sipped on her drink and watched him watching her. So.. His plans were to take her somewhere special, but exactly where was a puzzle to her mind. She sighed and decided it best to give in. "Okay, I'll go.. Just let me get a jacket. I don't want to freeze if we go someplace cold." she stated as she poured out her drink and set the glass in the sink.
Then she disappeared into her bedroom, shoving Esmerelda out of the way and searching her closet for a nice warm jacket. She finally settled on a thin grey leather jacket with small decorative details here and there, and some matching flats. She gave herself a glance in the mirror and smiled at the image there. Daisy looked tough, yet had a soft vibe about her with that flowing dress about her ankles.
She shoved Esmeralda back one last time and did her best to hide the bounce in her step as she approached him. "Okay, I'm ready now. Should I close my eyes so it will be a surprise? Just let me warn you, I've been all over the planet, there isn't much you can surprise me with.." she teased lightly as she stood before him, her arms crossed across her chest.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] Sinestro smiled. She looked excited about what was to come, even if she didn’t actually know where she was going. “Oh, I wouldn’t worry too much about that,” he chuckled lightly, “I’m very good at surprises, you’ll find. I’m sure I can find some place you haven’t seen before.” Mostly because he was a cheater and had no intention of leading her to somewhere on earth. He took her hands, pulling her close to him before wrapping an arm around her gently. Without much trouble, he lifted them both in the air, a protective glow surrounding the both of them.
“Alright, close your eyes- It won’t take but a few moments to get to part one of the little surprise.” He waited for her to listen before he took her off the balcony and started to move up into the sky. It would take him seconds to go at super-speed and get himself off the planet, but with the way his ring was set up it wouldn’t feel like she was moving at all. It was only for the surprise, but he imagined it helped with the illusion of it all. If he could make her think they weren’t going anywhere, or anywhere important, maybe she would find it more interesting.
He honestly didn’t know if she would like where he was taking her or not.
In a couple of minutes, he had taken them off the planet and into space, hovering somewhere between earth and the moon, giving them a decent view of the planet beneath them. He looked down for a moment, as though making sure the picture was perfect, before bringing his eyes back to Daisy.
“Alright,” he told her lightly, “you can open your eyes now.” He waited to see how she was going to react. In his mind, it could go one of two ways- she could either love what she was looking at and be forever pleased with him, or she could get very scared about being in space and stop his heart with her abilities.
Either way, at least it was going to prove exciting.
“there’s a place I want to take you beyond just this,” he added thoughtfully, “if you’re interested in a little bit of travel. It wouldn’t take too long, but I know this is probably very… different for you.”
