Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/bluemiddle.png] Sinestro couldn’t imagine having to fight mutants constantly- it seemed like it would get very annoying. Snotty little humans who had been granted a tiny amount of power and thought to do nothing more with it than piss around? It seemed exactly what a human would do, which only made it more annoying to deal with them. Human’s couldn’t be given nice things- all they did was abuse them for their own good. He didn’t like mutants much, but then, he supposed they weren’t all as irritatingly simple-minded. Some actually used their powers for the better of humanity, as they ought to. He’d heard of a group called the X-men, and he’d met at least a couple of mutants who didn’t seem entirely bad. Priss, who didn’t seem entirely good, either, and Michael, who seemed to be somewhat better than the regular mutant, if only by a little. They were the exceptions that proved the rule, then, and the rest were exactly what they were supposed to be. Annoying little children who were playing with things they shouldn’t have been allowed in the first place.
The mutant he was dealing with at that moment was a young boy who seemed very interested in causing as much damage on the streets of Washington as possible. Well, as possible for his powers, anyway. Sinestro knew he could easily do much more damage than the pathetic human. The boy, looking for a good time, seemed to be enjoying watching the other humans run screaming from him, and there had been a time Sinestro might have been amused right along with him. But he wasn’t amused anymore- he was just angry.
And he wasn’t going to let the mutant continue his antics against his own kind. One tiny mutation in one’s DNA did not entitle them to rule over anyone else.
The boy’s power seemed to be producing long, thick needles from any portion of his body, like a porcupine, and firing them off in all directions, like porcupine myth. He had seen similar powers before, so he supposed not every mutant had an entirely unique ability within them. Still, didn’t make him less of a threat. The quills were large enough to be dangerous if they impaled someone, and he was shooting so many that it seemed like he wanted to hurt someone.
Sinestro shot the kid with a beam from his ring, sending him rolling along the ground and stopping any further attacks. He actually looked a bit like a porcupine, somewhat furry and with an unusually shaped nose. How unfortunate for him, though Sinestro had lost any potential pity for the being a long while back. The kid responded by getting to his feet and shooting several quills at him, all of which bounced off a shield Sinestro had placed in front of him. Honestly, he didn’t think the kid was going to be difficult to deal with, but he was not pleased with having to keep from killing him. Being a ‘good guy’ meant trying to change his ways a little bit. Not everyone was worthy of death for their indiscretions. He had to be more careful with who he decided to murder.
This one was on the lucky list.
Frowning, he moved his barrier in front of a group of people, to protect them from a surprise attack from the kid. Apparently he had been hoping Sinestro would protect them, since it meant he did not have enough time to defend himself properly in the process. The kid shot quills at him at the same time, a couple of which managing to stab into him. One sailed into his already bad leg, sinking in deeply, while the other got him in his left shoulder. The rest he had managed to avoid by getting up a barrier again. Damn kid- he really wanted to kill him now.
Landing, he moved behind an abandoned car, taking a moment to try and pull the quills out of his flesh. But they were designed not to be easily removed, and he didn’t have the time to deal with them properly. So he cut off a bit of the ends, so they didn’t get in the way, and decided to deal with the rest later. He could feel the other side of the car becoming a pin cushion.
(The kid as an NPC and you can play him too if you want XD)

She'd gotten the call to go in, again, and she was busy looking over the information on the i-pad in from of her as the aircraft carried her and her team to the location. It seemed that some crazy mutant was abusing their powers in the middle of Washington, and chaos was ensuing. This was the last thing S.H.E.I.L.D. needed, another kid who head was far too big for his shoulders. They already had Stark filling in that spot.
It seemed the best of the information about the kid was that he was firing porcupine-like quills into innocent people. She hissed, and narrowed her eyes as the aircraft began to touch down a street over from the scene. If there was one thing that really ticked her off, was when people hurt those who didn't deserve what they were getting. It really fired her up.
She adjusted her heavy gloves, waving her men down to wait while she went ahead. If she needed their help, she'd call them through her walkie. Otherwise, she was sure she could handle this kid on her own. She was the one with 'extra skills' in this team.
She crossed over the street slowly, approaching the scene of the crime cautiously, immediately spotting the culprit, and millions of quills. Damn, they looked like they might hurt. She paused, and watched interested as the kid attacked a car from a distance, peppering the thing with hundreds of these nasty looking spines.
"Hey, stand down, and come with me quietly, and I'll do my best to make sure your sentence isn't too long kid." she shouted calmly, placing her hands in front of her defensively. The kid turned, smiled, and by god if he didn't start shooting those damned quills at her. She dodged, diving behind a car, a little more than a little bit angry.
Oh no he didn't.
She focused, and slowly but surely, the ground beneath them began to quake, a nearby water main exploded, sending water sky-rocketing into the air. She felt the attack on the car stop as her opponent tried to gain a stable footing, and that is when she took her chance. She stood up, looking over the car, and thrust a hand out forward, a way to further control her powers, and watched as the ground shook into chunks beneath the kid's feet.
He fell to the ground, and she took this opportunity to leap over the car, only to stumble and fall when a volley of quills filled her left leg. "Damnit!" she growled, as the quake stopped and she clenched her hurt leg, eyes narrowed in anger as the kid waltzed forward, a triumphant grin on his face as he stood before her.
"Bring it kid. You don't have the balls to kill me." she challenged as she focused her mind and stared into his eyes. She watched as his face started to go slack, from the vibration she was causing in his head, but suddenly her focus went back to the stabbing pain in her leg, and he got back to being murderous again.
Great. Now she was screwed.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/bluemiddle.png] Sinestro was just about ready to turn the kid into paste, having dealt with his injuries the best he could for the time being, when the attack against his hiding spot was suddenly halted. Blinking, the Green Lantern moved out from his secure location, looking around for the reason why the kid suddenly stopped trying to run him through with his special little skill. It seemed there was another mutant on the scene, this one causing earthquakes. Aside from the additional property damage, her seemingly vibration-based attacks seemed to be against the other mutant, and not meant to cause further chaos in the area.
So she was there to help- as if he needed it.
He watched for a moment, if only to observe the skills of the two meta humans, before finally deciding to lend a hand. Since she had stopped the attack against his car hiding spot, he supposed he owed her something, though he had never considered the boy before them much of a threat. If he wasn’t looking to be ‘a better person’ he would have already killed the kid.
As he watched the scene, he frowned, aware the girl had taken some damage and looked inches from some serious trouble before he finally sprang into action. Lazily, he raised his ring, a massive dragon springing forth, coated entirely in green. It roared to life, rushing towards the kid. The boy, completely startled, looked at the dragon with wide eyes, trying to shoot it with his quills. But they passed through the construct as though they were fighting a ghost, the massive beast opening its mouth and biting onto the kid’s midsection, hoisting him into the air as he screamed in pain and panic. The dragon thrust him about in the sky, tossing him around like an orca playing with a harp seal before a meal. However, the construct did not eat the kid, merely dropping him to the ground when he finally stopped screaming.
The monster dispersed as Sinestro floated himself forward, looking down at the boy. He wasn’t so tough without innocent lives to target, it seemed, and certainly didn’t look like much lying there in a bloody heap, piss all over his pants.
Maybe he had been a little too rough with the boy.
Saying nothing, he turned to look at the female, arching an eyebrow. “You should not have gotten involved,” he informed her in a matter-of-fact kind of tone, “you would not have gotten hurt if you had stayed out of the way. Are you alright?” He moved towards her, his sharp yellow eyes shifting to her wounded leg. It looked like she had taken quite a few of the quills. “Humph. Looks like you need a doctor. My ring indicates there may be other mutants with this one, so it might be dangerous for you to be here.”

She could have sworn she was at death's door. Could have ranted and raved about the strange feeling that she had lived a life unfulfilled, and screamed about how terrifying it had been. However, at the moment she was more infuriated with this red-skinned jerk who'd ruined a perfectly good fight between her and the spiny little prick. He took the boy, and beat the snot out of him with some power ring of some sort..
She took a moment to recognize the logo on his uniform and gave a sigh of frustration as she tried to get to her feet while he was busy. She'd be damned if she was going to lay on the ground and be the princess to be saved. After he finished beating the kiddo to a pulp, she smirked at his handiwork, her eyes drifting up to his strange ones with a mixture of irritation and being impressed.
"You should not have gotten involved, you would not have gotten hurt if you had stayed out of the way. Are you alright?” She watched him carefully as he approached, her eyes scrutinizing him as he scrutinized her. “Humph. Looks like you need a doctor. My ring indicates there may be other mutants with this one, so it might be dangerous for you to be here." She just about snapped.
"I don't need you to tell me what to do. I can take care of myself." she growled at him, glaring as she limped forward to invade his space, and point a finger in his face while she stared him down.. Well more like glared up at him. "If you seemingly had the situation handled, then why hadn't you already taken care of the situation, huh?" she interrogated sharply, her gaze matching his pace for pace.
"But then again.. Thank you for your aid, but I'll have my men secure the area." she stated calmly, reaching down to yank the needles that were not as deep out one by one, not a cry coming from her mouth. "If you wish to aid us, I'd appreciate it. You seem pretty good so far." she said with a sudden cocky smirk as she picked up her radio device.
"Boy this is Quake. Rendezvous to my location immediately. Be on the watch for other mutants as you go. Do not engage unless necessary." she stated calmly into the radio, re-attaching it to her belt as she turned back to the red-skinned man beside her. "By the way, the name is Daisy Johnson, codename Quake. What can I call you by, big guy?" she asked of him, offering a metal gloved hand forward to shake.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/bluemiddle.png] Sinestro looked down at the woman, a little surprised that she would deem herself worthy to get all up in his drill as she had. He had to admit- she was a plucky one. Not many felt they could stand face to face with the green lantern, mostly considering he was really tall and really intimidating. Sinestro was quite certain she had been the first human to offer him snark in quite some time. Still, it wasn’t like she was totally human. He had seen some of what she was capable of. What was it the humans called people with her kind of genetic alteration? Mutant?
That was what she had to be- a mutant.
“I was wounded,” he replied, “I was looking to handle that before I took the boy out. But there was never a moment I actually needed your help. Most know better than to interfere with a Green Lantern’s business.” But she didn’t seem concerned with his ring or his job, and he suspected she already knew at least a little about both. It only intrigued him- he wanted to know who she was and what kind of place it was she seemed to be working for. Clearly she was not just another loose hero on the prowl, looking to make a name for herself. She had men and plans and probably paperwork she was going to have to fill out.
He felt a twinge of irritation fill him when she continued, his eyebrow arching. “You are aiding ME, not the other way around. And, to be honest, I’m not sure I need anymore ‘help’. Why don’t you and your boys sit back and watch someone who actually knows what he’s doing get the job done?”
Though he was still pretty bitter when she offered a hand for him to shake, he felt it would be rude not at accept it. Sighing, he shook her hand, deciding not to ask about the glove for the moment. “I am Sinestro,” he informed her, “I suppose it’s nice to mee-“ he stopped mid-sentence, spotting another mutant pop up behind her. This one seemed capable of turning his arms into masses of plant-like vines, which he sent shooting towards Daisy’s back. Without saying a word, Sinestro pulled her by the hand he had been shaking, yanking her around and behind him. But the action had taken just a little too long, allowing the vines to wrap around him. They secured themselves around him tightly, before the boy raised him into the air. He didn’t seem to want to mess around after seeing what Sinestro had done to his friend, slamming him around the landscape as roughly as possible. For a moment, it seemed like Sinestro had been caught, but after a few heavy slams against the ground, he managed to focus in enough to create a massive sword construct in the air, slashing the vines and disconnecting them from the boy’s body. While the kid reeled, Sinestro hit the ground, still tangled up in the mess. It still felt like they were trying to squeeze the life out of him.
“Fine,” he choked out, speaking to Daisy though he wasn’t looking at her, “I… could you can help now…”

She gasped as she was jerked forward and behind him, briefly feeling the scrape of what felt like ropes along her back as she stumbled forward. The jerk had turned her into a damsel in distress again, and now she was incredibly pissed off as she turned around and stared at the newest situation she had to handle.
Some idiot mutant kid with the power to make stupid vines he could control. Great, tentacle rape was just what she needed to complete this absolutely awesome day. She snarled and ran at the boy when Sinestro cut the lines holding him down, taking advantage of the moment when the boy stumbled.
Daisy, reached the boy and struck him in the chest, smirking when he coughed up blood from the vibration causing havoc in his body. Needless to say, the boy didn't get up from where he fell. She dusted off her uniform, and made her way over to Sinestro, one eyebrow raised and a 'I told you so' smirk running across her face. She lifted her radio, calling in again.
"Boys, I need a medical team here also.. And bring a lot of sedative." she stated calmly before putting the radio back, and turning to see if she could help him. Or maybe just rub the fact that she defeated her opponent with a few blows in his face...
"Still think you can do all this on your own?" she asked with a warm grin, reaching out to pull at the tentacles around him, now lifeless. "Anyways, my team will be hear soon enough to contain all this mess, and you can get on to bigger things. And I'll have paperwork to fill out.. " she adds, as she offered a hand to help him up, not looking too cheerful about filling out paperwork.

He didn’t like feeling trapped, and he was glad the attack hadn’t been a long one. Rubbing the back of his neck, he worked a few kinks from his body. That mutant had certainly been eager to try and kill him. Though it seemed this woman wasn’t any less worried about ending the lives of others, considering what he had seen her do to the young, confused boy. Not that he could really judge, he supposed. He had tossed a boy around like a rag doll in the mouth of a construct dragon.
But he was supposedly ‘evil’ so that was his excuse. He had to wonder what hers was.
“I would have handled it on my own, had you not been there in distract me in the first place,” Sinestro pointed out, aware she was trying to mock him for getting himself in trouble. But he’d only gotten caught because he had been keeping her from harm. Still, his voice didn’t suggest that he was particularly upset about it. There was actually a bit of humor in his tone as he mocked her about being in trouble. “From what I can see- you were only making up for getting me in trouble in the first place. You still owe me for saving your life the first time.” He grinned at her, looking pleased with himself for his way of thinking about things.
He tilted his head. Paperwork- that sounded really annoying. He was glad he wasn’t part of any group to have to deal with that kind of thing. “You can fill out paperwork at any time,” he informed her, “I wish to learn more about you and your little group. Are you associated with the Justice League, perhaps?” No, they didn’t look like they worked on the same level. She was one powered person with a lot of little, human co workers. The Justice League didn’t have a lot of normal humans working for them. Even the ones without powers were anything but normal.
Maybe there was something interesting to learn from this other way of operating things.
“Come with me. Daisy,” he more or less ordered, holding a hand out for her to take hold of, “leave the clean up to your minions.”

She simply stared at him for a moment, as he inquired as to whether or not she and her men had anything to do with the Justice League. She scoffed, and shook her head at the thought. She didn't take orders from people who were immortal and were almost indestructible. She took orders from those who were her equal, understood the great costs, and took every single detail into account. She worked for S.H.E.I.L.D.
Daisy frowned deeply when he offered to take her away so that she could explain her job to him more. She was glad to explain things, but she was tentative to just up and leave with a stranger. She grabbed her radio, and contacted her men one last time. "Boys, I'm going for a trip with the Lantern Sinestro. Do damage control and if I'm not back within an hour, set off the tracking device and get to hunting." she stated calmly before turning back to him.
She slipped her hand into his with a broad smile, but she narrowed her eyes. "I do hope you can have me back by curfew, Sinestro." she chuckled, placing her free hand on her hip. "Now shall we go? You can ask me anything you wish as we go, but I will only be able to answer specific things.. Rules and all, you know." she stated calmly, tilting her head to the side curiously.
She pondered exactly where they were going to go, but she didn't ponder how they were going to get there. She had seen him floating up in the sky earlier, and needless to say, she was quite excited to might get the chance to do the same. She had always been jealous of those superheroes who could fly.. Such freedom, and such a thrill it should bring.

So she didn’t trust him- that was probably wise of her. There had been a time where trusting him would have been very bad for one’s health. He had not always been the best guy to be around, and usually he only spoke to people when he had things he wanted to accomplish. This time, however, he was not the same as he had been before. There was very little motive for him to kill her in his head. At least for the time being. If she or her organization ended up being a threat to him, then he would have to do something about it. Until then, he was mostly harmless.
Mostly.
“An hour doesn’t seem like a lot of time, but I’ll see what I can do,” Sinestro told her with a faint smile, “wouldn’t want dad to be mad at me, now would I?” After taking hold of her hand, a green glow moved around her, similar to the one that was usually around him.
“Hope you don’t mind flying- I’m not much for walking these days.” Not that he’d ever been much of a walker, but he had grown more annoyed with it since the injury to his leg. He couldn’t walk without some kind of cane to help him along. Annoying, but there was hardly anything he could do about it. Without much more warning, he lifted into the air, pulling her up along with him. Though he was only holding onto her by one hand, she had the glow around her, keeping her perfectly safe and airborne. “You can move around as you like,” he told her, letting go of her hand, “I just wouldn’t recommend getting too far away from me, unless you like the idea of getting dropped from hundreds of feet in the air.” Hr took her up higher before letting her do her own thing, moving through the air with no particular area in mind.
He looked at her, arching an eyebrow. “So I suppose I will start with the basics- what does your organization do?”

As she rose into the air beside him, it felt as if her heart stopped in her chest as she float safely within his powers grasp. Now she was definitely jealous of him and all those other lucky superheroes. This was like... Freedom, in its highest and purest form.
She twirled and smiled, enjoying herself for a brief moment before she decided to reply to him. He could at least understand her enjoying this, right? Surely to goodness the first time he had experienced such a thing, he took a brief moment to enjoy it and breath in the fresh air.
She sighed and straightened, floating directly across from him, making sure to catch his eyes with her own. "I work for S.H.E.I.L.D. We work to protect people from threats, and do our best to keep those who are gifted with means to aid or harm others in line. And though some of us may have powers, like me, we all understand the fragility of human life and that every person, hero or not, must answer for the aftermath." she stated calmly, her eyes watching him carefully.
"I think of it as a noble cause at times, to be able to work alongside those who have been recognized as 'hero', even though we little guys are the ones who clean up their mess often times." she stated with a smile, floating near him. "Now I do believe, it is my turn to ask a question of you, if I may?"
She paused and then cleared her throat, placing her hands on her hips. "Though we know of Hal Jordan, and his allegiance to the Green Lanterns, I do not know of you, therefore I need to ask you the same demeaning questions as Hal was asked. Planet of Origin, Full name, and purpose for visiting earth." she commanded sharply of him, going back into leader mode again, and crossing her arms over her chest.

She didn’t seem like such an annoying human when she had a smile on her face- she actually looked pretty. He supposed it was something that not everyone was used to, and it was kind of fun if you weren’t trained to consider it part of the job. Even then, most lanterns still found it fun. Hal loved flying, and he was all goofing around even after so many years on the job. But Sinestro tried not to enjoy such simple things. It was part of his work, and it wasn’t supposed to be anything more than that.
Still, when he saw other people enjoying it so much, it seemed to remind him how much he had once loved things like that as well. When he had been new to the whole concept- when he had been learning.
Better times, maybe.
As she explained her group, he nodded. He supposed, in a place where so many powerful creatures existed and cause chaos, such an organization was not a bad idea. Still, he knew some heroes had issue with the organization, and he could understand that side of the fence as well. Saying that they kept powerful beings in line didn’t really sit well with him. It imagined they had counter measures for some of their heroes, just in case they tried to use their powers for something they didn’t like. It reminded him too much of another group, from his own dimension. It felt a little too much like they wanted to use heroes less for the beings they were, and more for the powers they held. To create weapons of their own. But Sinestro hardly knew enough to make that kind of claim- he was only comparing two groups together. For all he knew, it was like comparing apples and oranges, and this group wasn’t linked in more nefarious activities.
The fun was in the surprise.
Sinestro laughed. “You asked Jordan what planet he was from? I suppose he is very odd, even for a human. Well, I suppose it’s only fair to answer you: you did answer my question. I am from a planet called Korugar. My name is Thaal Sinestro. I am here for,” he smiled somewhat darkly, watching her with his sharp yellow eyes, “research.”

She frowned deeply at him, her eyes narrowing as she floated across from him. The look in his eyes bothered her, and when something bothered her, she immediately put her guard up. Perhaps, not all of the Green Lanterns could be trusted and she would need to keep a particular eye on all who came to Earth. "May I ask exactly what you are researching?" she inquired of him calmly, uncrossing her arms from across her chest.
Daisy was already preparing herself for the various things he could say. Intelligence, weapons development, viruses, human psychology, and the list raced on in her mind, red flags waving about specific ways she would question him further on his answer. She couldn't chance another incident like they had with the Asgardian called Loki. They had barely made it out of that frying pan alive.
She frowned, and cleared her mind once again, preparing herself for whatever his answer may be. She need to be careful about what she said, lest she enrage him and cause him to drop her, or bash her like had that poor boy. Every wall she had went up as stared at him, stony faced and tensed up. If she was to be truthful in this moment, she was quite afraid of this alien across from her. Intrigued but afraid nonetheless.

He imagined she wasn’t going to be willing to share all her information with him, so why should he give her everything he had to offer? There would be time for trust later- when he managed to get to know her a little better. For the moment, he didn’t know more about her than he did the punks they had beaten together. If she ended up working for some kind of shady organization, though he had yet to discover anything truly to that effect, he wouldn’t have to think that he told her more about his mission than he really needed to.
“We all have our secrets, don’t we?” He watched her a moment, before swooping around and bringing himself in front of her. He could sense she was a little nervous about him- like she was worried about what he was going to do. It was probably the smartest thing for her. It wasn’t like he had given her much reason to trust him, aside from a kinship towards beating the hell out of teenagers.
He smiled, amused, though his expression was actually a bit softer than it had been a moment before.
“You don’t need to be frightened,” he informed her with an indifferent air, “the Green Lanterns are peacekeepers. Even if I am not at liberty to tell you what I’m here for, you can relax knowing that I mean this planet no harm. For now, anyway.” He couldn’t help it- it was kind of fun to watch the hairs on the necks of humans rise when they looked at him. Even if he was supposed to be working on impulses like that.
“Your powers- I would like to know more about them. I could discover them easily enough with my ring, but it seems more polite to ask. And I’m supposed to be giving you a good first impression, aren’t I?” He took her to a small park, coming to stand right in front of a small bench. Once the glow around his body faded, he had to make a short limp to the bench, sitting himself down as he waited for her to join him. The glow around her would fade once she touched ground, just as it had with him.

For some reason, she couldn't help but return the smile, crossed arms falling from her chest. He was right to keep his secrets, as she wasn't planning on spilling any of hers to him. As he reassured her that he wasn't here to cause any trouble, she relaxed a little bit more, that is until he added a short little sentence that she hated.
"Hey, just do me the favor of killing me off so when the Avengers kick your butt I don't have to fill out all the paperwork. You'd be my hero if you do." she stated with a slight chuckle, locking eyes with him and examining the interesting color combination. She listened to him again as he asked about her powers, and brought them both back down to earth, as much as she didn't want to.
She watched him as he landed and limped heavily on his leg, mentally taking note as to where to hit first. Broken or maimed bones were easily destroyed by her vibrations, something she'd learned over quite a long period of time. If he decided to turn on her, she'd destroy his leg beyond repair, as a memoir of her.
Daisy walked over, slightly limping herself due to the damage to her leg, and plopped down beside him, shoulder touching shoulder. "I suppose I should start with my heritage, otherwise you might not understand. My real father was a villain who endeavored to make himself more powerful by experimenting on himself. He regularly visited a prostitute who in turn got pregnant with me. After I was born, she abandoned me at the local orphanage and from there I met my first foster parents who became my adoptive parents over time. When I was a teenager, I got into a lot of trouble, and one day, while stealing, my powers activated. I nearly leveled the building around me. Then Fury came, offered me a proposition I couldn't refuse, and here I am now." she summarized rather simply and quickly, only telling Thaal the important details.
"My powers are the ability to cause vibrations, large and small scale. If I hadn't worked for Fury, I would have made a great massage specialist. Oh and please don't call me a mutant. I don't have that funny gene, I'm just genetically flawed all around." she stated with a soft smile at him as she placed her hands in her lap. "May I ask how you got so badly injured?" she asked softly, insinuating his hurt leg. She thought it only fair he shared that story since she'd basically shared her entire life with him.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/bluemiddle.png] “Avengers?” The Green Lantern had not heard of them- he imagined they were a group of heroes from her universe. If they were anything like the Justice League, they were probably very annoying and always in the way instead of actually helping a situation.
Sinestro listened. Humans really did have interesting stories. At least the ones who seemed to work for the good, or detriment, of others. They always seemed to have rough or different pasts, making them destined for something more than a regular life. Sinestro’s life hadn’t been perfect, he’d had a father who was a drug lord. Perhaps he had always been destined for something else, as well, though he never really related his past to his ring. He didn’t get the ring because he had grown up suffering- the ring came to him because he had the power to overcome great fear. Did his past help him with that? He couldn’t say. Whatever the case was with him, it didn’t change how interesting he found her past to be- it seemed like she was much more than a simple human, and a part of him wanted to endeavor to get to know her better.
“I see. I suppose I wouldn’t consider you a mutant. I thought you might be, at first, but clearly your powers come from another means.” He didn’t mind being wrong about something- it meant that he had more to learn about.
Nothing wrong with that.
When she asked about his leg, he looked down at it. Instinctively, he had left it sticking out while he was sitting, so he didn’t have pressure on it from his position. “Oh, that,” he grumbled, not really one who liked to share stories. Still, he had already dodged one of her questions, and she had told him about her past, at least in passing. It didn’t seem fair to keep ducking things. Weird, since he normally didn’t have a problem with it. Being fair with a human was not a top priority with him- strange he felt compelled to be more honest with this one.
“Not that long ago, I was attacked by someone from my past,” he explained with little detail. She probably didn’t want to hear the whole, involved tale. She probably wouldn’t understand it anyway. “Before I was able to make her retreat, she cast a spell that shattered the bones in my leg. Even after the damage was repaired, it was not able to be fully healed. So now I have a limp and pain to remind me of a mistake from my past.” He shrugged his shoulders, though it was obvious he wasn’t that pleased with revealing a failure of his. It wasn’t every day that he was defeated. And to have a lingering injury from the encounter? It just wasn’t something that normally happened.
“I don’t suppose you have any battle scars, do you?” He looked her over, though he couldn’t see anything immediate. She just looked like a pretty human to him.
