Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

"I am a man of science. My life dedicated to preserving life! Yet around me is the stench of death so strong I can never be rid of it."
The vampire had been late, but this was slightly uncalled for, and slightly out of his range of waking hours. As his scheduled was the reverse of the others. Most had forgotten about him for that fact. Never the less he existed like a wraith, a rumor or a night haunt. He had caught wind of the meeting, regardless that he was apparently late. He'd seen the others before in the room. If only in picture. It had been enough. The Avengers that were present, the agents that were as well.
Unlike the rest of them, he wore no uniform, no logo present, no spangled attire or telling costume. Just a black suit, and sunglasses, enough to take the edge off the light and make this bearable. He under stood the importance of it all. Why he needed to be there. Things were changing, and would continue to do so even after the events in New York, events that caused Shield to branch out and seek other heroes.
They had come to the Nine, Though only Morbius joined, and he would act as a lesion between the twin groups. Who both wanted nothing more then peace for the worlds.
Though this was a plus, as It would serve for the Avengers to have someone who specializes in the matters of the Occult.
He was however late, It seemed that the Living Vampire had found that he had just walked into a boiling point between fury and Banner. Tisk. Such power and the lack of will to control it. One can be both a scientist and a solider, Banner, there is no need for hostility. Help where you can, give back what you have broken. If I do recall you showed up in New York of your own accord to help. To make amends. You are not the only one who deals with internal beasts of burden."
If there was one thing he hated, it was the use of an affliction as a crutch or threat. Exactly what Banner was doing. If you did not want to be here, to be of help then why did you come back. " His eyes shown a bit of their red through the polarized lenses. As he ran his tongue across a fanged tooth.
Tell me... are you scared now?

Well wasn't this an interesting change of events, normally Coulson was the first of the people to be in a meeting. His reasons were of course understandable. he was supposed to be dead, supposed to be a ghost now. It was time that he was no longer viewed as such. The Avengers, had made him so proud in their actions, that they took his death that day on the bridge and used it as something to fight for. Something to avenge.
It was what they needed, and as he laid on the bed in the medical unit that day and listened to the play by play on the screen. He felt Fury had done the right thing. When he heard about Stark's selfless action to divert the war head, How Steven didn't fail to take charge, Bruce making a come back. He felt so proud.
An now to be leaning at the door frame to the meeting, seeing some of them bickering. Others focused. It was like nothing changed. Maybe he was needed to come back. This seemed like a better time then ever, Coulson merely cleared his throat loudly, to announce his presence in the meeting. Granted he was going to have a lot of explaining to do. Him and Fury both.

Post by Wade "Deadpool" Wilson on Oct 23, 2012 18:34:33 GMT -5
As Steve took the lead, he raised a brow - his look genuinely shocked. The Captain?! Questioning Wade's morals and trustworthiness?! Surely it was a lie?! He couldn't believe his ears, he simply stared at Mr. Rogers. Okay, sure, maybe he DID have SOME kind of point. He didn't EXACTLY have clearance for the helicarrier, or an invitation to the meeting, or even any sort of reason to make himself part of the business. Sort of. Danii was involved, so he figured himself important somehow. After all, he was really awesome with a gun, and katanas, and shuriken...
"Cap...I'm hurt. Torn, even. Actually, no, I'm devastated - I mean, I thought we had worked past this whole "Oh, you're not trustworthiness, you're just some super shooty merc" which, granted, I'm pretty good at getting paid to kill but, if you THINK about it, isn't that just a rich soldier? See? Makes sense already. I mean, suuure, maybe I've killed multiple innocents..."
"Multiple? Aren't you banned from a few states for that?"
"Not that he stops going to them...now hush, I like where he's going with this."
"...But we're all family now! Or something I don't actually know if that's true. By the way, I brought something for you, I dunno what it is, but you might. I think it's like...1940s sammich meat, mind identifying it for me? Thanks, you're a babe."With that, he pulled the tin found within the cupboards of the cabin, shoving it into Steve's hands - he might have been crazy, but damn it, he didn't forget his crazies. They went everywhere with him - to the park, to work, to the bathroom, everywhere. As he stepped back, he watched as they were joined by three people all of a sudden. Wade scratched his head as he attempted to learn all he could about the trio, as quickly as he could, but all this thinking was hurting his brain. Who were they? Why were they all funny looking? Did they like Bea Arthur as much as he did? Had they ever danced the macharena in the moonlight with a Polish drug lord while on the beaches of Barcelona? So many questions, so little time. However, those were going to have to wait. His hands darted up, palms showing as he shook his head. "Woooaah woahwoahwoah woah! Lets take one step back here. We need to get all of this worked out before we all continue this conversation. Okay, long haired guy in the suit, aren't you the guy who makes tea for the dude who makes coffee? I take two sugars and milk, a little bit of honey. Don't make it too strong, I hate it too stewed, you know what I'm saying? Next up, blue faced angry man...didn't I kill you in a movie? Black guy lead, a wrestler, funny looking pomeranians? Baldy! You must be the man who makes coffee, right? Two sugar, plenty of milk. Stir it good."He stopped as he glanced around the group, tucking his hands back into the pockets of his cargo pants, blinking a little. He looked very, very confused by any expressions directed towards him - he had a good point going on by this stage, he could swear on it. Could you swear on it? No, of course not, you're not Wade Wilson. "What? I'm just sayin', I've not got any tea, any coffee, and that guy's seriously not dead. I have a lot of questions for the casting role people and my agent. I can't work under these conditions."[/blockquote]

Post by Clint "Hawkeye" Barton on Oct 24, 2012 1:13:41 GMT -5
[atrb=border,0,true] The room came to life with ideas. All Clint had to do was lean back as his idea was overruled, overruled again, and a new thing was formed. Yeah, he supposed they were right. SHIELD needed a plan before they could just go out on the streets and kick villain ass. He had been a bit... Hasty in suggesting that they just go and do it. But his first thought was the safety of the world, and that was his primary thought still, now. Steve said something about chips that could be used to link back to the helicarrier just in case one of them was in danger. Clint nodded to himself. It was a good idea, and very handy just in case they got into a sticky situation somewhere. He was just done, when the sound of a familiar voice tinged Clint's ears. The sharpshooter stiffened. Wade? What was the merc with a mouth doing here? Who was the guilty party for not stopping him? Clint couldn't help but turn to face the red-clad mervenary as he walked in. The man... Really got on his nerves. Nothing annoyed him more than Wade Wilson. No cap on his mouth...
A new kid that Clint fainly remembered as a recent recruit wandered in. For a few moments Wade was forgotten, and Clint became embroiled in memories from when he was a new military academy member. It had been a bit awkward at first, but eventually it had become easier. "Director Fury, Agent Massaro reporting. Was told that you needed me here, sir." A certain memory popped up from him mentioning his name. Massaro. Fury told me about him the other day... He apparently has a good shot like me. If a rookie agent got talked about to Clint by Fury, he knew that he would amount to something. The kid must be really good to have grabbed the big man's attention like he had.
Morbius was the next one to stroll in. There was abother scientust that was a huge asset to SHIELD. He was an expert in the occult- sometimes the organization really needed that kind of expertise- and on top of that was skilled in many other fields, too. He also happened to be a vampire, which was interesting enough.
A low sound; someone clearing their throat. Clint wondered who it just might be. This was getting to be an interesting party. The voice sounded familiar... turning, there was a sight there that made the sharpshooter's jaw drop. "C-coulson? I thought-" Clint was so shocked, he couldn't even finish the sentence. he rose from his chair, unwilling to believe that his former boss was actually there. His mind wandered back to the fact that he had been talking to Amber Lee the other day... After voicing his suggestion, Jerry listened as other input was given. He had to admit that Danii had a point; the Justice People of America didn't seem to be too big on publicity, even though practically everyone knew who they were. "I personally don't know of a way to contact them-- speaking of which, do we have a contact with them? Even one of their less prominent members at least gives us a foot in the door."
Jerry nodded at Cap's idea involving the microchip. He was surprised that he'd come up with that despite his gap in the knowledge of technology as it advanced, but he'd adapted to the modern world quite well, all things considered.
Of course, then Deadpool came in. Jerry supressed a grin; he couldn't help but enjoy the presence of that crazy Wade Wilson. Of course he was a total nutcase and it was difficult to follow anything he said, but he was very amusing. Well, until he decided to kill everyone in the room. He wouldn't do that... right?
Massaro entered. Jerry didn't really know much about him; he was new here. Though they were recruiting by the dozen, he'd specifically heard the kid's name, so Jerry had to assume he was something special. A mutant? Not necessarily, though he may have been. Morbius also entered. Jerry didn't know much about him either, but based on how he responded almost condescendingly and with an air of superiority, Jerry decided that he didn't like him all that much.
Wade spewed out randomness, which Jerry didn't feel the need to respond to, considering that he wasn't addressed. Then another man appeared. Though not as shocked as Barton, he was surprised to see Coulson alive and seemingly well. Though he hadn't known Coulson personally when he was alive, nor had he even seen the man, he attended the memorial and knew what he looked like. "Agent Coulson? I thought-- how did you--"

Who: Nick Fury, Avengers, SHIELD, open. Where: Hellicarrier What: Plan to clean up the streets. Notes: Fury is NPC until one applies!
"Ahh......yeah, we.........had a connection? And about five bottles of wine too many," He raised his eyebrow in surprise, as if that was a valid excuse. "We're divorced now at least," She added to make the situation better. "Now wouldn't be the time to spring on you that we're datin' would it? No, well then let's move on!" His face dropped and she got the hint. Her nervous flailing and her quick change of subject wasn't amusing.
"I think it's best that we suspend your duties in Vegas and any other area that you might have a connection and five bottles of wine too many," He spoke sternly, an eye singled on Washington.
"I've came up with this concept on creating a microchip that can be embedded into mobile devices and other mobile possessions, so that it will be capable of sending an alarm to the Helicarrier and other SHIELD strongholds in case an agent suffers from harm or injury. It would act as a lifeline," Fury nodded his head as a pondering sound came from his throat.
"I think that's a better idea than stickin' a planter inside each of you," Fury said contemplating the idea before he agreed, "We can get tech to work on mass production, and hopefully have them out to all the agents in a matter of a few days." His head nodded. Since the moment he had met Steve Rogers it had always been a pleasure. Though America had been around longer and his mind wasn't fully wrapped around the methods of the new world, his ideas were what SHIELD needed. Something they all needed.
"I think that we need to pull some teams together, whoever we can find, and go and do a purging."
The usually quiet Hawkeye chimed in and it was something that caused Nick to smile a bit. That was something he wanted to hear. It was something that had been on his mind. "But if anyone's opposed, it's just an idea.""Now that is what I like to hear," Fury agreed. It was something that made sense, the answer to the problem that was dirty streets. "As far as I can reason, the first thing I'd want is for their all-star team, the Justice something, to show that they support us, so that we can see whether their goals coincide with our own. I suggest that we start by making a public announcement that we'd like to meet their team, or some representative for their team, to talk about what's happened here. Then we can compare notes on bad guys and maybe work together to get the streets clean? I don't know if this merging is permanent, but as far as I'm concerned we should start acting like it is. Maybe we can invite one of their people to act as an honorary member of SHIELD, firstly to foster a friendship, and secondly so that we can learn, over time, what they really stand for." Fury looked back at the large monitors as he slid the images to the right. Images of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman all popped up on screen fighting their respective problems. "I think Jer's got the right idea, though maybe publicly calling them out would be a bit much, I've looked through some archive stuff that popped up on them after the worlds merged and they aren't big with publicity, or it doesn't seem like they are at least,"
"I personally don't know of a way to contact them-- speaking of which, do we have a contact with them? Even one of their less prominent members at least gives us a foot in the door.""Well, neither are we. Guessin' you better be able to get them on our side." He said without turning around, "Washington and Rogers go check out Metropolis and Gotham, see if we can't sway Batman or this Superman to see our side of things." His choice respective of the agents and their abilities with what Fury felt they had in common. "And do not accept a glass of damned alcohol." He would assign Barton and the rest as the night went on further. "Some of them seem to be a force to be reckoned with. That Superman in Metro City or whatever seems all but indestructible to me, and Batman in Gotham sounds like a nightmare. That's not to say we couldn't manage, but if we're going to actually do something, we should do it quick to get more information so that we can form an organizational plan and to prepare for contingencies.""Alright then, Hacker, time for you to turn on your charm. Go through the databases, get me everything we already don't have on these heroes," He said as he turned around though what caught his eye caused his frown to turn into a grimace. Deadpool. "That includes any of their personal information they could have stored on their own servers." Nick Fury was currently staring at Deadpool with his brow furrowed, and if he had his other one it would be furrowed as well. Bruce replied, his voice strained a bit. This wasn't the Banner they were all use to. It seemed he had become more confrontational. And did he just? Fury adjusted his posture, his feet separated shoulder width apart as his hardened stare remained on Bruce rather than the man who walked by the large windows with some poor sap; talking his ear off. He attempted to threaten Fury with the Hulk. What happened to the meek man with a flair for science. However, Danii Washington chimed in before Fury took his opportunity and he had to say, he was rather pleased. He couldn't have said it better himself. Fury's lips curved upward in a pleased smile though he was aware it was about to be ruined by the merc with a mouth's entrance. "One can be both a scientist and a solider, Banner, there is no need for hostility. Help where you can, give back what you have broken. If I do recall you showed up in New York of your own accord to help. To make amends. You are not the only one who deals with internal beasts of burden." Morbius, SHIELD's vampire. "Couldnta said it better myself," Fury chimed in as he nodded a hello and thank you to the supernatural being, happy to see he was around. Fury needed familiar faces in this dark time. "Nicky! Nickzilla! The Nickinator! Fury of the Nick! Nickaroo! You're lookin' balder than usual, did you just polish that dome? It's got a good feel about it, kinda like a chrome spoiler, keep it up! Who's the artist for you this week? Actually, no, never mind, don't answer that..." He had turned and went towards Lady Liberty while Fury's eye focused on her. "Divorced?" His voice was less than enthused. "Vegas TOTALLY misses us. I've never seen so many excited Elvis impersonators in my life! Or maybe they were angry...to be honest, I couldn't tell, I was waay too interested in that neon sign. Maybe it offended them. We should probably look into that.""Agent Washington won't be going to Vegas anytime soon nor is she going to be on any type of mission with you, Wilson/" Fury stated as he turned back to his screen, a glance thrown to the man with long hair. "Boy, cut your damn hair. This ain't the catwalk in Paris, you're in SHIELD now, not helping Bunny Fru-Fru." He scoffed. . "How did you gain access to the Helicarrier? Did you even receive authorization to be here?""Cap...I'm hurt. I mean, suuure, maybe I've killed multiple innocents...""Enough!" He exclaimed as a hand came up and pinched the bridge of his nose. How did Danii put up with his insane amount of blabbing? Stir it good.""Wade... Unless you give me one good fucking reason why I shouldn't have you thrown off the landing deck..." He started before he looked to the doorway and caught sight of a man who had been the reason the Avengers had come together last year and saved the world. The sound of Wilson's voice faded as Coulson looked on at the agents who were all under the impression the man was dead. His secrets have secrets. He cleared his throat as everyone turned their attention to the doorway and needless to say this would be an emotional experience for some. "C-coulson? I thought-"
"Agent Coulson? I thought-- how did you--" Fury remained in his spot as he looked at Phil. It seemed he was looking on as if he was proud of the kids and how they've handled things. It's been a year since everyone thought he had passed. "Agent." He simply spoke without nothing more. He wouldn't take this moment away from Phil nor the others. Despite Fury being the stern father who saw to everything, they were all a giant family albeit dysfunctional. [/blockquote]

When others seemed to take Fury’s side he got the feeling that it would not be easy to get out of the base, he didn’t want to have to fight but he didn’t want to be made to do something that he didn’t want to do. He had helped at New York because he felt that he had owed them because of the fact that they had brought him in to help with Loki and the radiation that had been done but he had not been intending on extending that stay for much past that, the fact that the other outsider of the group you could argue that was on earth in the form of Tony wasn’t here didn’t bode well either as it was well known that Tony didn’t like the tactics that Fury and SHIELD would use and the fact that SHIELD wanted to use the Tessarect to make weapons he could understand why Tony would be annoyed with Fury. ”I agreed to help with the radiation and with Loki that was why I came to New York and helped but I don’t remember seeing you there.” he said before turning back to Fury yet his attention was taken because of the fact that Coulson walked into the room even though he hadn’t spoken to him that much before it had been believed that he had been killed by Loki the fact that the man was alive Bruce got the feeling that Tony had been right about SHIELD and the fact that their secrets had secrets. ”for a dead man he looks alive and well don’t you think Nick?” then the Dayton native stood up and pushed the chair back. ”Does anyone wanna tell me what’s going on?”WORDS: 290 TAGGED: everyone OUTFIT: Link Here NOTES: Banner isn’t happy LYRICS: Animal I Have Become by Three Days Grace CREDIT: CaeJae@caution2.0

"I am a man of science. My life dedicated to preserving life! Yet around me is the stench of death so strong I can never be rid of it."
Oh this was going to be one of those meetings, he looked over at the man with the overly active mouth. What in the seven depths of hell was he blabbering about. Or rather did the man come with an off switch or not. More or less how did he think he killed him in a movie. Well this fellow clearly had several levels of issues on probably the molecular level of his brain. Morbius was quite able to just ignore it, let it roll off his shoulders. As he had to learn to do early on.
The Vampire, like everyone else in the room held some form of a dark past. His own was bathed in blood and violence, though it had been out of need to survive. Just as everyone else, he held the power to change from that path. What he could give back would have been a lose had the hunter known as Blade been able to slay him. Though he, unlike Bruce would not threaten others with such power. He gave a small nod to Fury, Michael had only been here on his request.
I was not there, you are correct, but do you know why? The blatant fact that I cannot set foot in day light as the Ultra violent rays would be my undoing, nor was I apart of shield. Though I am sure everyone in the room would appreciate if you would stop using the hulk as a threat. You will be your own undoing. Not everyone is out to get you. He spoke with confidence, not because he was arrogant or calling Banner's bluff, but he did not fear a man who had to use a monster to get his way. Such a thing was not a man at all.
No one here to make friends, but to work. Needless to say, he would not sit by idly and let someone who was once respected for his control to belittle and become the bully that Bruce was clearly becoming.
Morbius had not turned to see who was at the door way. The words spoked by the others were enough to let him know who it was and just how important this was to those who knew the man. Agent Philip Coulson, one of the first Shield agents. Twas a shame when he heard others speak of the man's untimely death. Murdered in cold blood by a Demi-god. Though the act of valor on the man's part was inspirational. The world needed more good men like that. Those who could truly be the ones to change the world for the better in its darkest hour.
Tell me... are you scared now?

"With your feet in the air, and your head on the ground...~
Fury didn't seem too pleased to see him, or Barton. Barton! He had to greet all these people - his brain was telling him, urging him to do it. "Be friendly, Wade! Be social, Wade! Make friends, Wade! Say things! Say them loudly. C'mon, you know you wanna. Do it, Wade, do eeeet." And do eet he would - I mean c'mon, how do you really shut Deadpool up? Sure, there were threats, and there were various insults that might make him a little moody, or maybe quieter, but it all ended the same way, didn't it? You wave your gun and he stands there, oddly amused.
"Why hello, Clinton - did we fall asleep at the hem again? C'mon, man, you're meant to be like, a giant bird. Giant bird's don't fall asleep on the job, they make themselves relevant and all knowing all the time. Do you think Big Bird ran Seasame Street by just sleeping on the job? We don't have time for that, man. Drink some Red Bull or something. I dunno, just don't do a Bear Grylls. We don't have time to feed you all that water. Who do you think we are, water faeries?"
"If you kick him in the balls, does that mean you scramble his eggs?"
"You'd definitely turn his sunny sides up."
Fury was still displeased by his presence, though. Still. As usual. Run of the mill, corn on the cob, same old game, splittin' hairs, tippin' the cow, shootin' the breeze...the expressions went on. Not many were actually relevant to the situation, Wade just liked how they sounded when he said them in his head. "Painting the town red" was a particular favourite of his; he didn't know why, he just liked how it reminded him of his suit. Black and red - or at least, they were his colours. Everyone seemed to be stealing them nowadays. "'Cause if you throw me from the helicarrier, I won't die, and that temporary sense of pleasure you feel from the situation will be horribly spoiled when I come back up and tell you all about the journey down. I like doing it without parachutes, by the way. It makes the impact with the ground so much more fun - the things you see on the...way...dow...I'm sorry, that was insensitive of me. The things you feel on the way down. Those are fabulous."
"Nice save, big guy." Hulk and Morbius seemed to be getting into a pretty heated discussion in the meantime. It was funny and all, but the whole situation was getting just a liiittle too hostile. Sure, sure, Wade DID love him some violence. In fact, he loved it. Adored it, even. The way he'd witness two people backhanding one another, fighting, screaming, shooting, drawing blood...But, then again, there was Hulk. When he got mad, he got green, and everything kinda took a weird turn - even for Wilson's tastes. "Guuys, guysguysguys, can't we all just...get along? You want a coffee, Hulkie? We'll get you a coffee! Your arms are looking outstanding, by the way, you hitting the gym more? Pumping the iron? 'Cause it's working, just saying. How do you do that without...you know, getting big, green and throwing the weights at the wall? S'not a testosterone thing, is it? No, probably not...it'd be awkward if you got all big and destructive every time you swear."He swiftly turned to Logan, pointing in a rather overly intense form, stiffening up as he raised his brow, staring straight at the new agent. "You! I have three questions for you! Well, a question, a demand and compliment of sorts. First of all, you have terrific hair. That's the compliment. What do you use to get the sheen to it? I've been told pedigree chum's great but, I dunno, kinda iffy on how it'll affect my diet. That's the question. Can you go get Hulk like, a tea or a latte, or a coffee, or whatever he wants? I dunno, as long as it calms him down. No steroids, even if he asks for them. He doesn't need them. No. Nuh-uh."[/blockquote]

It was true, the entire time she had been in Vegas had turned into one giant mess. The only good part about the whole mess was that she had actually gotten the job done, and even managed to eventually get a boyfriend out of the ordeal, but sometimes that second part seemed just a little questionable, because said boyfriend was really batshit crazy. Danii tilted her head, giving the Captain a look, "That's a great idea!" And it really was better then having a tracking device placed under their skin, Steve never did stop surprising her, even though he was from the past the man managed to get a pretty solid grip on the technology from this day and age. Granted she had to wonder how no one else had managed to think of the idea yet, but she wasn't going to voice a complaint because that little idea was definitely going to prove itself useful eventually, she had to believe that. She nodded to Fury, sipping her coffee and attempting to still the jitteriness she was still feeling from the caffeine high, where work was concerned, she always tried to keep a level head. Save for that one time in Vegas that she really did hope was never mentioned again, "Will do sir, Rogers and I will make sure we get the job done," Automatically in soldier mode, shoulders back and head high, though she slumped a little at his next words, "Of course not sir, I'll make sure to stick to coffee and water," Oh yeah, she was going to be hearing about this for a long, long time no doubt. The blonde stiffened a little, eyes closing behind her goggles for a moment and taking a deep breath like she was getting ready for a battle, "I'm so sorry," Danii said quietly to everyone already in the room, that voice was unmistakable and while normally she would have been quite happy to hear it, this just seemed like it was going to turn into a battle. And yes, there was Wade, no doubt making the poor rookie he was talking to rethink his position in SHIELD and how did he even manage to get on the carrier? Why was he even on the carrier? She was never going to hear the end of this one either, "Annulled actually," Danii deadpanned back at Fury's less then enthused inquiry, feeling much the same as he was at the moment. Danii bit her lip and shook her head, "Wade, I thought we agreed we weren't gonna talk about Vegas again? Cause I'm never goin' to Vegas again," Not that it matter what she wanted to do, Fury put his foot down pretty quickly on that. Of course it seemed like either Wade hadn't heard or didn't care as he just went on talking about nothing in particular but proving her layers of crazy comment true. She sort of tuned him out a little in favor of giving the newer recruit a nod of recognition and a look of general sympathy at the Fru-Fru comment, though most of it was probably lost as no one could see her eyes. Another nod to Morbius, he was rough around the edges, but he was also a vampire so Danii didn't really hold it against him, not that she spent much time around him as it was. He was usually in the labs somewhere whenever she was on the helicarrier anyways, but he was civil and so was she. And then her mouth dropped open because a man that was supposed to be very dead was standing there and that was so unexpected, "Coulson?" It almost sounded choked, she had spent so much of her life around SHIELD that yes, she knew the man and yes, had even shed a few tears when he died. But there he was and her head nearly whipped around to Fury, "You lied? That......that was one hell of a play," The reasoning slid together perfectly, and she could understand it, though she was sure not everyone was going to appreciate it. But her brow had to twitch at Banner, because something was definitely wrong with him, and if she hadn't known any better she would have thought imposter as far as the scientist was concerned. Morbius had a point, she didn't know what was going on with Bruce, but the man seemed a little to hostile for her liking, especially considering he had this condition that turned him into a giant green unstoppable machine when he got angry, but there was something really off today, "Ya know, Bruce, if you had read any of our replies, you would know exactly what we were talking about-" Danii stopped short, what the hell was she talking about? Did someone put something in her coffee? She stared hard into the cup, no, nothing. Instead she decided to stare hard at Wade, because he usually said the weird things like that, was he rubbing off on her? Maybe she was spending too much time with him. Maybe the incessant babbling had finally started driving her crazy, she loved him, but even that wasn't the best defense against the constant stream of talking sometimes. She swiftly stepped over to Wade though, grabbing his hand so he wasn't pointing intensely at the poor new guy anymore and instead bringing it to rest at his side, "Chamomile tea, its supposed to have a relaxing effect," She added to the end of that sentence, "Wade. Darlin'. Less talking, please, we're essentially having a debriefing and you talking about canned meat and hair care isn't very conductive, if you can try to keep the talking to a minimum, I'll make you burgers as soon as we get home, and even break out a marathon of the Golden Girls," Because she knew how much he seemed to like Bea Arthur, "If you don't seem to try though, so help me I wont cook for a week" [style=padding: 0px 10px; font-size: smaller;] Tag: Fury and anyone else that pops in! Logan knew that he was the newest of recruits to be on the helicarrier, not to mention a part of SHIELD. He expected to get taunted, hell even teased a bit. He stood there, his expression not changing as the talking went on around him. There were a lot of different personalities, and he was not going to be making an ass out of himself on his first debriefing. Nope not him. He was going to be the sponge. Absorbing all of the information, and then doing something with it. He assumed that he was called here for a reason, and that he was going to hopefully get a REAL assignment. He was tired of just "visiting" places. He was ready for some action. Anything. It could even be trailing someone that SHIELD was interested in, and that could work for him. Just someone a little volatile, that would give him a challenge. He was thirsty to prove himself.
Wade made a comment about him being the "tea boy" and that he should go get some, and he scowled at him, eyes narrowed. He wasn't here to get coffee, or tea for that damn matter. He was there to do a job, and to help his country, the world even. Not sit around in a suit, bringing everyone's beverage choice. "I'm here to do a job, Sir. Not to run around getting drink orders. You want that, go to Olive Garden, not the helicarrier."
His tone was pointed and almost lined with razors. He could tell that with Wade, he was going to have a strained relationship. He shook the feeling off. This was so not how he wanted to make his entrance into the ranks. Oh, well some things just couldn't be helped. Fury rounded on him shortly after that, a few of the eyes in the room making their way to view him. Great. Spotlight. "Boy, cut your damn hair. This ain't the catwalk in Paris, you're in SHIELD now, not helping Bunny Fru-Fru."His hand shot up, and he grabbed at the ends of his hair. It was the one thing that he didn't have to change as long as it didn't go past his shoulders. Which it didn't. No. He wasn't cutting his hair. He refused to take on the short hair look, let alone the bald one that Fury seemed to have taken on himself. Nope. Not happening. He would cut everyone with his knives and swords if they even approached him with clippers or scissors. But Danii seemed to be on his side with that, as she nodded at him, and her eyes grew a bit sweet at the comment. He nodded at her, and mouthed "thank you" at her. There was something brewing between the other long haired man, and Dr. Banner. And he was sure that was the one thing that he didn't want to see happen. The Hulk being unleashed on the helicarrier. Again. Strength wasn't an area that Logan got to check on his list of abilities, but he would try, even it it killed him to put The Hulk down. He got to see pictures from the damage that occurred last time while he was in training, as well as two of his instructors were injured during the incident of the last time Banner on board. And he didnt want to be one of those sad people that hated their lives due to some green thing putting him in a hospital bed for 27 weeks. Nope. His attention was drawn back to Wade as he fired off an assualt of more questions at him. He sure did talk a lot. Logan thought that maybe that was his ability. Able to talk a person to death. ""You! No. Nuh-uh."All Logan could do was blink as the barrage happened. It took him a while to understand what even happened. He talked a lot. It was draining. "Well, on the hair crush three prenatal pills and put the powder in your shampoo bottle, and thanks. I love my hair as well. And again. I'm not here to server drinks.." He opened the inside of his jacket, and pulled back the fake backing, showing his throwing daggers, and then flicked his wrist, his collapsible sword shooting out, his hand grabbing the handle as the blade unfolded into the full length blade. "I'm here to do a job." Word Count= 872 Tag: errrrrryone notes: wade.....i love and hate you. its a mixed feeling

It didn't help that Wade was constantly babbling with meaningless confusion that was clouding Steve's mind to where he couldn't even focus on this important meeting. He was getting somewhat irritated by the entire situation, because he was trying to pay attention to everything Nick had to say, but then Wade was acting a fool right now, so it was allot for Steve to try and take in. He just remained quiet and shook his head at Wade's comments being made.
What happened next hit everyone right in the feels, and Steve was no different, as he turned his attention to see Agent Coulson standing there like a ghost. Steve's eyes widened in shock, as his face showed off the emotion of being completely surprised by seeing Coulson standing there looking very much alive and well. Hearing of his death a while back was devastating to say the least, because Steve had seen so many good men just like Coulson die in the war, so this was a happy heartfelt moment for him.
Steve just like everyone else thought Coulson was dead, but Nick always seemed to have hidden tricks up his sleeve that even SHIELD and The Avengers weren't aware of. Nonetheless, Steve was happy to see Coulson back, because the man looked up to Steve like a role model for his patriotism, and Coulson seemed fascinated with Captain America since he had Captain America trading cards. After Steve thought that he had passed away, he took it upon himself to sign them with his autograph for Coulson just like he wanted. Steve was modest and humble, so he wasn't used to being renowned by so many people.
"...Agent Coulson. It's... It's great to have you back." Steve spoke to him with a hesitated pause. "Well, I reckon I should let you know that I took it upon myself to sign those trading cards of yours. I... I should have done so before. I apologize." Steve felt terrible about that, although Agent Coulson was back, so that was the best thing that's happened to SHIELD in some time. "I'll get right on it, Nick. Danii, report to me when you get the opportunity, so we can get underway with this mission immediately, okay?"
Wade was still going at it with his babbling, and as much as Steve wanted to stay to finish out the meeting, he simply couldn't handle anymore of it. "If you all will excuse me, I am going to the Computer Center to gather some information on Gotham City and Metropolis." With that said, and not expressing his dislike of Wade's presence any further, Steve simply excused himself from the meeting to get away from Wade and to get started with his mission.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - STATUS: Complete TAGGED: Everyone! Post by Tony "Iron Man" Stark on Nov 1, 2012 1:56:41 GMT -5
I need someone to show me the things in life that I can't find I can't see the things that make true happiness, I must be blind [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: B8B8B8; border: #550505 solid 4px; width: 400px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;]
As much as everyone might not have believed it, Tony did actually care about people other than himself. And he particularly cared about SHIELD as of late. Because the Man of Iron was not buying Fury's bit about 'believing in heroes' and junk. That man had secrets. SHIELD had secrets. And Tony thought himself a bit of a Sherlock when it came to solving mysteries. Especially mysteries like what lurked within SHIELD's borders.
So, as he had been leisurely making his way to the helicarrier (because certain intel he had showed a gathering of his band members), he'd had JARVIS hack into the computer systems and communications again. It was easy, always easy. Tony wondered, idly, if Fury was ever going to have someone finally create a firewall that would be able to challenge JARVIS. Ha. That was a cute thought.
But as the party continued inside the hellicarrier, complete with the chatty clown and the birthday boy with a new life, Tony'd been listening to the blather through the earpiece he always had on. He knew who was in attendance, and thankfully he'd had time to be surprised at Coulson's return in private so that when he made his grand entrance he could have his game face on.
Tony didn't like being caught off-guard.
Ever the prepared know-it-all, the Man of Iron came strolling in through the doorway, a Styrofoam cup of steaming liquid in one hand and the other in his slacks pocket. He didn't look at Coulson. Not right away. He couldn't yet. And besides, this was his game face. The sarcastic smile and playful I'm-better-than-you-and-I-can-prove-it look in his eyes couldn't be shed now. Not with tensions so high.
So, as he passed by Walking Dead, he simply patted the agent on the back of his shoulder before entering just as The Cap was about-facing to leave.
"Whoa, whoa, at ease, Soldier," Tony said with a smile, holding up a hand to stop Rogers in his tracks. "Don't waste your time. I've got all the information about Gotham you need. You're looking at the guy who's battling Wayne Enterprises to own the town." He jabbed a thumb at himself before striding over to Banner.
He held out the Styrofoam cup with chamomile tea in it, offering it as a token of peace rather than a sarcastic jab. He wrapped an arm around Banner's shoulders, leaning in to mumble, "We've all got our monsters." Tony knew that fact better than most, and he hoped the whisper, which would be inaudible to everyone else, would signal to Banner that which Tony truly believed about the man: Banner was good. So stop freaking out.
After the cup left his hands, Stark spun on his heel to regard the rest of his crowd, hands raised toward the ceiling as if he were about to bow, but he didn't. "Jarvis, commandeer Fury's screens for me, would you? I'd like to make a little presentation to our friendly group of misfits here."
JARVIS responded in the affirmative and as soon as he had, Fury's screens went blank before coming up with the images Tony'd wanted. The techno-genius pulled his own clear-looking PDA-of-sorts from his pocket and began striding around the room, not looking at anyone but somehow avoiding running into all of them as he typed and tapped away at his handheld, bringing up data and information on the larger screens.
"Sorry I'm late to the party, kids, but looks like Wilson kept you all entertained until I got here. Good, then you didn't get very far without me. Sorry, Motor Mouth. Didn't mean to offend there. But while we're on the subject of offending, how about we get off Banner's back and start acting like the team that Thriller over there thought we'd be? Not to mention I'm thinking the cold chill from Cullen in the background is making everybody tense. Not me, of course. Undead. Half-dead. Immortal. I'm getting used to the idea. Speaking of immortals, our friend Loki's been pretty active." Finally reaching his point, Tony pulled up data from his play-date with the false god in L.A. He stopped next to the new kid, Logan, not bothering to look in his direction. He'd already read Massaro's file. That was all he needed to know right now.
Images from Stark's Iron Man helmet, recorded words and phrases in text, certain dataspecs that JARVIS found important, and that shit-eating grin that seemed to come pre-packaged with the green-suited maniac all popped up on-screen.
"Had a small run-in with him a few weeks ago. Tried to crash my party. He's not as good at magic tricks as he likes to think he is. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I should have called, I know. You were just sitting by the phone all night waiting for me, huh? Oh, Fast and Fury-ious, I didn't know I meant that much to ya." He looked up once to flash a toothy, teasing grin at Fury before continuing. Tony Stark was certainly someone who could give Wade Wilson a run for his money as far as stream of consciousness went.
"Anyway. He said something about a plan he had in place. That New York wasn't his target. Blah blah blah. I got tired of playing Twenty Questions, but I'm thinking the little twerp, and yes I use the term 'little' loosely, doesn't just have his sights set on our little slice of heaven." Next up flashed images of Gotham City and Metropolis. "Because, and stop me if I'm wrong here, I think he'd be a little more interested in this game of bumper-cars we've got going on with the digital world. I mean, if I were an all-powerful psychopath god thing, I dunno. I'd be pretty damn interested in what that could mean or what I could use it for. But hey, that's just me. I'd slap a big fat "S" on the center line and use my three combat cards. Take a lesson straight outta history right there."
Tony was still staring at his screen. He'd intended to confront some of his Avengers buddies sooner (if he wanted to call them that now) about Loki, though he would have preferred doing it without Fury's involvement. God knew there was trouble whenever that man was involved. But he just hadn't gotten around to it until now. And he figured, with so many people here, he'd just get it out in the open for everyone to bitch about now.
But that's not what his mind was preoccupied with. No, Tony Stark was a genius whose brain could go twenty different paths a minute, and while the rest of the crowd could be surprised with Stark's new information, Stark himself was boiling on the inside.
Because Coulson was standing right there.
Because Fury had lied. Again.
Because Tony Stark had been played like a pawn turned queen. Fury'd taken Tony and turned him into Iron Man all by using Coulson. Had pushed the pawn across the board and had thrust the queen into play. Coulson's death had fueled Stark into taking action, a proactive approach when it came to The Avengers, despite his earlier reputation of not playing well with others.
And now, to find out that his death was a lie... it infuriated Tony. Tony Stark did not get played like a fool. While he was incredibly relieved that Coulson was back in the land of the living, that did not assuage the burning rage boiling inside of the Man of Iron. If he hadn't been wearing a suit jacket, his arc reactor- which burned brightly with his heightened emotion- would have given away his feelings and Stark would not have that. Not right now. He would have a talk with Fury and Coulson eventually. Now was not the time, but soon.
If that's the way Fury wanted to play this game, he could kiss Iron Man's ass goodbye and he'd see just how volatile Tony could really be.
"Like I was telling Flag Boy, I have real estate in Gotham. So I'll be going." He lifted his face again, to stare at Fury, wondering if the Director could see the anger just below the surface in the reflection of his brown eyes. He dared Fury to try and stop him. Tony was not a SHIELD agent nor was he a soldier. He made his own decisions. However, Fury was overlord of the much-more-helpful-than-himself agents which he directed, so Tony would need his permission for this next part, which he said in the same cheery tone as he'd had since he walked in, "And if I may request it, Patch Adams, I'd like to take Barton. I hear we may run into some bats and I'd like to have their natural predator along for the ride. Not to mention it's a dark city. There are lots of crevices and shadows. It would be good to have skilled eyes looking for things that most people pass right over. If that doesn't put a chink in your plans." The last word was a double en tandra. Tony would find out what Fury had to hide. He wasn't going to be manipulated again.

Post by Phillip Coulson on Nov 1, 2012 3:20:15 GMT -5
He paid no mind to the man with the motor mouth, nor his comments. There was no need to the man wasn't even an agent. Why was he ever hear? Coulson held his place by the door frame for the most part, almost beaming at the now larger dysfunctional family that they were. "All in good time." His words were directed to Clint foremost and any one else who held questions. Like Tucker who voiced his as well. Phil was prepared for the bombardment, he kept his calm exterior as well as his mind as well.
Coulson returned Fury's nod with one of his own. They felt it was time. He couldn't keep working in the shadows forever. "Bruce, It will be explained in time. Now is not it. We all have work to do. Your either with us or on the side lines. I do hope that you're with us." He spoke with a hopeful smile to the man, who seemed to be a bit out of sorts an not quite himself.
"Danii, I understand why he's with you, and you personal life is not ours to follow, But he really shouldn't be here. " Coulson didn't shrug, make a sarcastic comment, just spoke what needed to be said. The man needed to go, before he caused even more of an issue then was already. Banner wasn't in his right state of mind and not a one of them needed Wade poking at him until he burst an almost killed them all, again. However, he knew that speaking to the man directly would yield no result. So Phil used the next best outlet.
His attention then turned to the new guy, seeing the weapons that really wouldn't do much good against their enemies. "Kid, put the toys away. Its an outward display of defensive nature. None of us need that, not right now. This is a meeting not a fight room" Besides, It wasn't about the weapons but how you used them. Coulson had himself disarmed two petty thieves with a bag of flour and a pack of powdered dough nuts on the way to Thor's hammer, Funny story actually.
Steve, Ever the voice of reason to them, always on target. Truly the kind of hero the world needed more of. He smiled brightly at Steve, knowing that it was probably on pained guilt that he signed his cards.
...
His Cards. Fury.. That Bastard had put his Cards in blood an Damaged them. That one eyed, sorry excuse for a ~ all that and more played through Coulson's mind and his face reflected none of the sudden rage about his precious cards. That which he had so much pride in.
"Thanks" He said with his smirk of a smile. Turning to the side letting Cap out and Tony in. Here we go. First thing he noticed, Tony didn't so much as look at him. Stark was mad, an he had every right to be. Could watched the genius of guy stroll in and take control of the monitors after handing off the tea to Banner. Finally Stark had found out how to combine his sarcastic nature and a way to work. That alone was enough to cause his lip to quirk for a moment into a smirk. They had all grown so much individually, but still not enough as a Team.
"Stark Are you trying to say that His motives were preplanned? Or is this something new entirely." As far as Coulson was concerned, this was priority over the small timers that were loose. Look what the Demi-god did to one city in the span of a few hours. If Loki gathered forces again, along with these new villains, it could be worse and harder to stop. Though the files he got on the incident in New York, Loki seemed to give up and cooperate way to easily most of the time. There was something more to this, It was just a matter of finding out what.
"Oh. You won't need much help finding them, those in Gotham, Actually, the other heroes are quite helpful. We can count on them to help I am sure of that. Lets not hunt them down like we do Criminals."

Beside the tension, the situation was going well... well, at least as well as it could have been going. Then Stark walked in. Of course, right upon entering he proved that he once again hacked past Jerry's programs. It was good that Stark wasn't a hacker, because there would be no secrets anymore. That man had access to whatever he wanted, and often he took it for the sole reason that he could.
While impressed nonetheless that Stark was able to bypass his latest incarnation of SHEILD's network security, he was still irritated that now he'd have to trace the path that JARVIS took and patch it up with harder material. 'It'd be ironic if I hacked JARVIS one of these days...' he thought. It was ridiculous, of course, to think that Jerry would be able to get into JARVIS without an arsenal of expendable programs at his disposal, but he didn't want to take the risk of inadvertently letting Stark into the Helicarrier's systems... again.
"Nice to see that you're still able to get past my security, Mr. Stark," he said, sarcastic but still trying to sound more or less pleasant. Though he had nothing against stark personally, he hated what the man was. He was more or less nice to Jerry personally, and never acted against the systems expert himself, but he was what Jerry hated: a billionaire genius playboy, and he knew it. Jerry was neither a billionaire or playboy, and he was a long shot from being a genius, but he was proud of his abilities in the computer world, and when someone like Stark just waltzed in and rendered his work completely useless, he felt like he was useless.
In the meantime, Jerry just listened to the conversation. He had little to do with field work, so he absorbed the information rather than responding to it. He might as well try to stay up-to-date.
