Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

It was like a little world that was under Raven's control. Nothing grew here, no one lived her. Sometimes others had been invited here. But it was her haven, sometimes it was even her home. They say that home is where the heart lies, but Raven was happier with the idea that home was where the soul lies. The Titan's attention moved to the only other being with her now, Sinestro. It wasn't comfortable for Raven to know that she had attacked him both times she had met him. Did Sinestro attract violence? Or was there something more sinister out there? Was she going to loose all her control at some point in the futre? At least the Titans had the equipment to kill her.
“Wounds?” Raven looked at Sinestro's wounds pointedly. “I wouldn’t bother- these wounds aren’t serious. My ring will heal them on its own.” He probably wouldn't trust her after what had happened. Raven looked down at the rock which she was standing on, the Titan unaware of the coldness of her soul. "I guess I can understand why you'd prefer your own powers. But if you do need help, I'm here. I honestly did not mean to attack." [/b] “I don’t suppose you feel ready to leave this place,” Raven frowned, her frown invisible under the shadow of her hood. Were her emotions under control. “not that I don’t love dark, freezing cold expanses of space and time, but I think I could use a nap.” Oh! Probably not the best place for a sick person. Immediately she removed them from her soul self, appearing back in Sinestro's base. "I'm sorry. I forgot that it's cold in there." Raven appologised. Why did everything she do go wrong? [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] Sinestro was glad to be back in his home base, though all the instantaneous movements weren’t making him feel any better. The sudden transition from cold to warm hadn’t helped much, either. Still, he did prefer being in his base to being in that… other place. Her soul, he supposed. It was a little too unfamiliar for him, even if his base didn’t have much to offer in terms of comfort. Coughing, he looked at Raven, who was apologizing for something else. “You apologize too much,” he informed her in a mumble, slowly making his way to his bedroom, “you don’t need to feel bad about everything you do- it was an accident.”
He shrugged his shoulders, motioning for her to follow as he made his way to a smaller room off to the side of the base. It was a simple, undecorated bedroom, with only standard pieces of furniture and a large bed in the middle of the far wall. No windows, and only one apparent decoration- a picture sitting on a nightstand. It was korugaran in design, the image more of a screen than a photo- it looked like it was just something displayed on a tiny TV. The image was of himself standing next to a pretty pink-skinned woman, and a young girl in his arms, looking excited to be between the two adults. They were all smiling, Sinestro’s expression one of tender fondness as he looked not at the camera, but at the woman beside him. She, likewise, looked up at him with adoration, clearly pleased to be there.
It wasn’t a picture Sinestro would normally allow others to see, but with his fever raging and his body on the verge of breaking down again, he really wasn’t thinking about it. Instead, he was thinking about plopping down on top of his bed, not even bothering to get under the covers since he was feeling too hot to anyway.
And that was exactly what he did.
He collapsed onto the bed, his ring removing the top portion of his uniform, so he didn’t have the skin tight outfit bothering his heated skin. Lying on his stomach, the large scar of the lantern symbol was clear as day on his back, something else he wasn’t concerned about right at that moment. Turning his head on his pillow, he peered over at the door, not even sure if Raven had followed him into the room.
“I’m ready to admit I might be sick,” he muttered, coughing faintly. It had certainly been a long day. Being taken home to rest had turned into getting teleported around, exacerbating his fever, getting attacked, and being warped to someone’s freezing cold soul. All in all, he didn’t think anything that had happened since Raven had offered to help him out had really done much to make him feel better.
But then again, he hadn’t gotten to have any of the tea or the soup.

All the problems would go away, that there would be no grumpy aliens and no out of control emotions. “You apologize too much,” Raven bit her lip and looked down. It had been her fault, she had let her emotions get control over herself. She should have gotten candles when meditating earlier while Sinestro was unconsious. Or gone into her soul-self and put her emotions away then. “you don’t need to feel bad about everything you do- it was an accident.”
Raven followed Sinestro when he gestured that she should follow. "But I attacked and teleported you which lead to you fainting. There is darkness within me and I hate it. Appologising helps, I remember that I'm not all dark." [/b] The Titan said, despite being as close to emotionless as possible at that point, she still hated the darkness within her. She clung to the gift that her mother had given her, the humanity, but it wasn't easy. As they entered the room, Raven noted that there was little furniture but there was a picture, it didn't seem like it came from earth and the Titan regarded it with interest. It was a beautiful picture, a family scene if she was not mistaken. Sinestro was in it, with a woman and child. Was the child Soranik? Raven wondered what the family life had been like for them. Having been raised by monks for as long as she could remember, Raven had little idea of what it was like to have a family. "Is that your wife and Soranik in the... picture?"[/b] Raven asked as she looked at the image, not sure if it could be described as a picture. The sound of movement caught Raven's attention and she looked over at Sinestro as he plopped down on the bed. At least he appeared to be aware that he should rest now. His top had been removed and Raven noticed the mark on his back and frowned. “I’m ready to admit I might be sick,” Raven smiled as she heard that. "I'm sure rest will have you back on your feet soon."[/b] Raven smiled, wondering whether she should leave. "Do you want me to leave? I can come back tomorrow with more soup and tea? And tissues if you need them."[/b] The Titan asked, intent on helping Sinestro. Things were better now. "Thank you for calming down. And agreeing that you 'might be sick'."[/b] Raven said, honestly. The emotions were easier to cope with, there were hardly any, just the odd one or two. [/blockquote][/div] [/style]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] Sinestro let his eyes flicker towards the picture for a moment, a sobering expression passing over his pale face. “Yes,” he said after a moment, “it seems so long ago now.” He sighed faintly. Maybe the raging fever had him feeling a little nostalgic- it made him a bit sad to look at the photo. Normally he wouldn’t let such emotions sneak up on him, even if he never made them noticeable to other people. It was simply easier to push them all away and move forward with some outlandish goal in mind.
Anything was better than remembering the past.
Turning away from the picture, the lantern rolled himself onto his back, groaning lowly as he did so. There was drying blood on his chest from the puncture wounds in his skin, but the injuries themselves already seemed to be closed, no further blood seeping out of them. One of the blessings of having a ring, even if he wasn’t completely in the right frame of mind to comprehend everything he could have done with it. He would blame that on the fever as well.
She asked if she should leave, and the tired old man shrugged his shoulders to the best of his ability. “If you want to leave,” he breathed weakly, “I won’t stop you. But I don’t mind the company.” Even if the company seemed bent on having him killed. Hopefully she wouldn’t put something horrible in the food that he would end up being allergic to or something. Really, he couldn’t imagine how things could possibly go worse from that moment. He felt like death, he was pretty sure he wouldn’t be able to get out of the bed again even if he needed to, and he was with someone who couldn’t seem to do anything without having some horrible backlash. Backlash that didn’t hit her, but him instead.
She thanked him for calming down- the weird gesture only confirmed what he had been thinking. His emotions really did have a connection to how things went for her. Were all her friends pleasant around her all the time? It seemed like she hadn’t been around someone like him, rough and cruel, enough to know how to act. Maybe he was teaching her something, then.
He liked teaching.
“It’s pretty easy…” he said faintly, “when I’m feeling this tired. This ‘flu’ of yours- what do people do to fight it? I I don’t really like being bed-bound.”

How long was it before Soranik and her father had grown apart to what she saw today. Indigo eyes moved to the woman, who must be Sinestro's wife. Was she still on their home planet? “Yes,” Sinestro confirmed that it was him, his wife and Soranik. “it seems so long ago now.” Raven could feel the sadness as Sinestro looked at the picture. Had the war seperated him from his wife and child? Raven wondered what had happened which caused Sinestro's sadness.
Sinestro moved, turning onto his back and not looking at the picture anymore. Raven suspected that he didn't want to talk about his past. That was something she could understand. The wounds appeared to be healed and Raven was thankful that the Green Lantern was able to heal from the attack so quickly. Maybe it would help with the flu? The Titan hadn't thought of that. “If you want to leave,” Raven considered this, she didn't want to leave Sinestro alone when he had the flu. “I won’t stop you. But I don’t mind the company.” Raven smiled as he said that he wouldn't stop her leaving, with the flu that he had, Raven doubted that he would be able to, although the Ring did seem quite helpful. As Sinestro didn't mind the company, Raven decided to say. When people said that they 'didn't mind the company' usually meant that they wanted company.
The strange scar on his back was now hidden, Raven contemplated it. The scar was a mark, not something that you got accidentally. Was it from his time fighting against the Green lanterns? Had someone placed it on him as a permanent reminder? She doubted that it was something that all Lanterns wore, it didn't appear to be their style, placing a permanent mark to show who they belonged to. The Titan wondered whether she should bring it up, her eyes flickering back to the picture, wondering if it was another thing that would spark some emotion in the alien. "May I ask about the scar on your back? You can say no." [/b] Curiosity won, Raven was already trying to figure out more about the sadness in Sinestro when he looked at the picture. People where never just three dimensional, Sinestro appeared to have a lot of different dimensions. “It’s pretty easy…” Sinestro definitely didn't sound well. “when I’m feeling this tired. This ‘flu’ of yours- what do people do to fight it? I I don’t really like being bed-bound.”Raven smiled as Sinestro asked what did people do to fight it. "Once you get it there is little you can do but rest. The flu is a virus so you can't take antibiotics. Other than resting, you are recomended to stay warm, drink lots of water and take anti-flammatory medicine such as ibuprofen. I can get you some of that if you don't have it and bring in some water, or tea if you'd rather have some tea."[/b] [/blockquote][/div] [/style]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] When she asked about the scar on his back, he chuckled somewhat gruffly. “Oh, that,” he sighed, “it was a long time ago. I was in battle with a couple of lanterns from earth and one of them shot several construct arrows through me in that shape. They burned the image onto my back. I spent a lot of time recovering in the anti matter universe. That was when I created my corps.” He didn’t mind talking about battle scars- it seemed much easier than talking about more personal scars. Wounds inflicted that couldn’t be seen, like his feelings towards losing his family.
She explained about the flu, and he knew he was stuck for at least a little while. Unless he knew she wouldn’t lie to him just to make him suffer and have to stay in bed- she didn’t seem like the type. But he didn’t like just having to lie around. Perhaps he would try to deal with it as he had been doing. It seemed to have been working until she came along and made him feel so much worse. Than again… he couldn’t really get up.
If he wanted to feel better, he knew the best option was to call in his daughter. However, he was still figuring out how to approach her again after their conversation. She would probably be angry with him for getting sick, knowing the way she liked to change moods on him. After all, he wasn’t really doing much to get himself well again. If anything, even lying there in bed, it felt like he was getting worse.
Or maybe he was being a baby.
“I don’t need medicine,” he said lowly, “just some rest, I think.” He shifted on his bed carefully, working the blanket out from under him so he could sneak under it and get himself a bit warmer. Though he was sweating and feeling hot from his fever, his body still seemed to shiver when exposed to the temperature of his underwater base. Coughing softly, he found being under the blanket did make him feel a hell of a lot more comfortable.
By that time, the fever had him feeling a little on the delirious side of things, the man looking back at the picture on the nightstand. He could remember what had happened, and how things had ended, so very well. But it seemed more of a struggle to remember all the good things. Their happy moments together. When had they taken that photo? Why had they? It all seemed so far away from him. Like it belonged to someone else’s life and he had only witnessed it from afar. Sighing softly, he glanced at Raven.
“Her name was Arin,” he said between soft pants for air, “she was… a very beautiful woman from my friend’s planet. We fell for one another the moment we first met.” He had probably looked like an idiot at that time- he remembered staring at her for several minutes before being able to speak. “Maybe you’re too young,” he continued, “to know what love is. But when you do fine it, don’t let it go. Believe me, nothing is worth losing your other half for. Not even control of your own planet.”

It kept drawing her attention, it almost seemed out of place with what she knew of Sinestro, but it also seemed to fit. “Oh, that,” Raven looked up from the picture. “it was a long time ago. I was in battle with a couple of lanterns from earth and one of them shot several construct arrows through me in that shape. They burned the image onto my back. I spent a lot of time recovering in the anti matter universe. That was when I created my corps.” The Titan frowned, it sounded like it would have been painful to receive that scar. "Your life does not sound like it has been easy." [/b] The Titan commented lightly. Raven wondered whether things would ease out for Sinestro, within her own life, Raven had points where her life had been easy and other points when it was harder. Would there be some peace and no flu? The half demon guessed that being ill was not something the Green Lantern was used to. To be fair, Raven wouldn't be too good if she was sick either. For Raven the best cure would be to find a lot of cheerful emotion and keep that around her while she rested. It would decrease the time she needed to rest. The Titan wondered if being cheerful would help Sinestro like it helped her, but she doubted it. The best way was probably to be conventional and keep to traditional remmedies. “I don’t need medicine,” Raven wondered if he was trying to be brave and deny medicine. Then again, maybe the ring helped, Raven knew that she hadn't been of much help. “just some rest, I think.”"I'll get you a glass of water, you do need to keep hydrated."[/b] Raven said, teleporting into the kitchen to search for a glass and water to fill it with, before teleporting back. For the Titan this was the easier option, she didn't want to leave the sick alien alone for too long, especially as she had probably worsened his condition. Raven remembered a time when she had actively kept from the fighting and just healed and teleported her team mates. "I've got you some water."[/b] She announced, placing it on the bedside table. "Tell me if you want it somewhere else or if you need anything,."[/b] Helping people was one of the things that she had been good at, Raven had to admit that she did feel guilty that she hadn't done any helping for Sinestro. The Titan frowned as she remembered something, pets like cats and dogs were meant to help when people were sick and she teleported quickly to find Sora kitten, before reassuring her everything was safe and teleporting her to Sinestro and placing the kitten by Sinestro. “Her name was Arin,” Raven looked at the picture, now having a name for Sinestro's wife. “she was… a very beautiful woman from my friend’s planet. We fell for one another the moment we first met.” It was then that the Titan realised that she, Arin, was being reffered to in the past. “Maybe you’re too young,” Raven looked down at her shoes. When she was younger, in her first body, Raven had accidentally influenced two guys to love her without even realising what she had been doing. Things had changed since then, she understood it more. “to know what love is. But when you do fine it, don’t let it go. Believe me, nothing is worth losing your other half for. Not even control of your own planet.” Raven still looked down at her feet. Her relationship with Beast Boy was not too easy. At one point her half-brothers had used him, another she had almost killed him. But he still loved her, when she was recovering from her attack from the Wyld he had confessed that, as she was healing she had felt it. "I... can't really let myself feel emotions. Beast Boy says that I should try but..."[/b] Raven's voice trailed off. "I'm sure that your wife watches over you."[/b] The Titan smiled, moving the topic away from her own relationships, looking as Sora snuggled into the bed. [/blockquote][/div] [/style]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] He almost could have laughed when she said his life hadn’t been easy for him- she didn’t know the half of it. Just being a lantern made life chaotic. Everything else? Well, he had created a lot of additional insanity for himself through his various goals and intentions. No, it had never been easy for him. Even growing up had been a bit of a chore. But he imagined she knew something about hardship while growing. She wouldn’t have so much trouble controlling her emotions if things had come easily to her. Frowning, he took as deep a breath as he could manage. “I suppose I have some blame in how my life has turned out. I have made plenty of mistakes in my time.” Some he wouldn’t even have considered mistakes until recently.
She left to get him water, and he took a moment to brood. Though it wasn’t a very long moment-her teleporting made trips around the base very quick indeed. When she returned, he nodded, letting her keep it on the bedside table. There was really no where else for it to go, and he wasn’t feeling thirsty enough to take it and have a drink. So there it would sit, waiting for a moment where it would come into use. In the meantime, Sinestro focused on the picture and the person he was talking to about it. Talking about things like love and being with someone wasn’t the norm for Sinestro, but he was running a pretty bad fever. Regular Sinestro probably would have gone on about how love was a weakness and no one should allow it into their lives.
Instead, he smirked when she brought up someone’s name out of the blue.
“Beast Boy? I see,” He smiled almost teasingly, aware she wouldn’t have mentioned someone specific unless she had feelings for that particular person. Having ‘boy’ in the name made things a bit more clear. He doubted she was talking about a simple friend after he had brought up love. “Perhaps you do have a little experience, then, in what I was talking about. And emotions are dangerous and wild- there are many who would say it would be a better idea to disregard them entirely. The Guardians, the ones who run the lanterns, are emotionless beings of reason and knowledge. They only consider things objectively. But the guardians are corrupt and have no sense of connection to the universe. They have become more of a threat than a help.” He took a moment to breathe, finding it difficult to speak for too long without it tiring him out.
“While I don’t like admitting to emotions, they can be useful at times. They help bring clarity, and true understanding of things around you. If you can’t relate, you can’t truly help anyone. So I suppose this Beast Boy isn’t completely wrong- perhaps you should try learning to understand and control your emotions, rather than locking them away because you fear what they are capable of.” She mentioned his wife, and he frowned, looking away from her for a moment.
“No,” he said easily enough, his voice having grown somewhat distant, “I don’t think she does watch over me. Her death was my fault. And she died angry with my actions.” He knew it was the truth- he had disappointed her. Despite telling her he would give everything up just to be with her, things had ended with him taking control of his world while his wife died in his arms.
Things had certainly not come out the way he had planned it.
The kitten seemed perturbed by Sinestro’s mood, moving from her position next to him and climbing up onto his chest. She settled right on top of him, curling up into a little ball of adorable as she purred to try and make her master happy. Sinestro, sighing, pet her gently. Even the uneven breathing of his chest was not enough to get her off of him.

She suposed that it was probably a massive understatment anyway. “I suppose I have some blame in how my life has turned out. I have made plenty of mistakes in my time.” "I don't know anyone who hasn't made mistakes. I guess it's a part of being living." The Titan replied. Living with a bunch of teenagers also generally meant that one had to be used to mistakes, it was a part of every day life for teenagers as they grew.
Getting water had been easy for the Titan, moving about by teleporting made things fast but no water was spilled. The water was left on the bedside table, which worried Raven a bit. Sinestro needed to keep up his water levels, although it was possible that his race was not as water dependant as humans were. As the topic moved to relationships, Raven noticed Sinestro's smirk when she mentioned Beast Boy and she wondered if she had given him some information to cheer him up. Earlier the alien had been rather annoyed with her and the Titan guessed she probably owed him some material to tease or annoy her with.
“Beast Boy? I see,” Raven gave a smile in reply to Sinestro's smile, it was slightly strange to consider that she was talking about Beast Boy to a Green Lantern who she had just attacked. However the topic seemed to take Sinestro's mind off his illness, which was prefferable. It was easier to heal when you didn't focus on all the negatives. They have become more of a threat than a help.”
The Titan took in Sinestro's words in silence, comparing them to her life, to her upbring with the monks. They had taught her to control her emotions, to keep them away. They feared that the demon would be unleashed. Eventually it had been. “While I don’t like admitting to emotions, they can be useful at times. They help bring clarity, and true understanding of things around you. If you can’t relate, you can’t truly help anyone. So I suppose this Beast Boy isn’t completely wrong- perhaps you should try learning to understand and control your emotions, rather than locking them away because you fear what they are capable of.”
"The monks who raised me taught me to disregard my emotions, to keep them away. They have caused some problems, even when I'm not going all four eyed." [/b] Raven said with a smile. "But I heal faster with positive emotions around me. They can be helpful."[/b] The Titan added, although she didn't like to let herself feel too much, even good positive emotions. There was always the worry she would let in the other emotions. "It's still hard to forget fourteen years of teaching on how to live without emotions. Beast Boy has been helpful, even though I have endangered him. Even though I have tried to keep away from a relationship to make sure he's safe."[/b] The Titan smiled, feeling happy at some of the memories and letting the happiness leak out slightly before catching it. "Sorry."[/b] She appologised (despite being told that she appologised too often), even though it had been very little of her happiness escaping. But the topic took a more sombre turn. “No,” The Titan frowned as Sinestro said that, believing that his wife would not watch over him. “I don’t think she does watch over me. Her death was my fault. And she died angry with my actions.” Raven felt sorrow for what must have once been a happy family. "Death can alter one's views. Believe me, I should know."[/b] Raven replied, refering to herself having died twice and once resurected an old team mate who had turned against them but then worked with them after his resurection. [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] Sinestro frowned. “I think your monks had the right idea, but the execution was wrong. Nothing is worse than being frightened of something you don’t understand. It’s just like these humans, too afraid of change to truly progress their planet towards greatness. You just end up stuck in place. I understand your monks meant well, but I believe they may have made things more difficult for you.” He frowned thoughtfully. Just pushing emotions away was a part of control, he supposed, but how could she really keep them under wraps if she had no real idea on how strong they could get and how much they could be an influence? It was no wonder she had issues, particularly with rage. It was by far the most potent of the emotions, and had the capacity to spring up the most randomly of them, too.
At least she had been exposed to some better understand- that Beast Boy seemed to be helpful to her, even if he thought young love was a little too narrow-minded for his interest. All the same, if she was starting to learn about what healed, she could also learn about the rest, and he imagined she would be able to grow with her powers, not be ruled by them as she currently was. It seemed they had all the control, and she was just struggling to keep on the surface. One day, he hoped that would change and she would come to understand her gifts fully.
“I don’t think anyone wants you to forget what you have been taught,” he said after a long coughing fit had settled down, “there are just better methods, that incorporate their ideas with newer ones. I’m sure not everything they taught you was rubbish.”
He coughed again, until he needed a moment to breathe after it had ended. Coughing seemed to be wearing him out, and it was evident in his ever-tiring voice. Still, he seemed against the idea of sleeping, watching her with interest even in his somewhat glazed eyes.
When she said death could alter views, he sighed. “If only it had altered mine,” he said, “things might have turned out much differently. But back then, even her death wasn’t enough to stop my ambition. I really was the monster Soranik said I was.” He knew that HAD to have been the fever talking, but he couldn’t help himself.
“Could you… get me something cool? This fever… I think it’s getting worse.” He was feeling very hot, and the sweat was making him uncomfortable. Maybe a cool cloth on his forehead would help him relax a little. It wouldn’t do much for his increasingly strained breathing, but he was more interested in comfort at that moment.

The meditation had really done its work and Raven was thankful to the Monks for having to taught her how to do it. “I think your monks had the right idea, but the execution was wrong. Nothing is worse than being frightened of something you don’t understand. It’s just like these humans, too afraid of change to truly progress their planet towards greatness. You just end up stuck in place. I understand your monks meant well, but I believe they may have made things more difficult for you.”
Raven gave a sad smiled as she thought about it. "It was easier in the start, before I came to live on earth. Even then I found it fine for a while. But there do appear to be times when it gets harder." [/b] Raven said, although she left out the fact that she hoped it didn't mean she needed to check up on her father. She hated family outings, besides last time she had met his father she had been the cause of his sons stealing the last of his power (not that Trigon knew that). Then her thoughts where interupted by a coughing fit and Raven picked up the glass of water and held it out for Sinestro. "Water usually helps to calm your throat after coughing."[/b] The Titan explained. “I don’t think anyone wants you to forget what you have been taught, there are just better methods, that incorporate their ideas with newer ones. I’m sure not everything they taught you was rubbish.”"I'll remember that. Learning is something that I enjoy, although I doubt that this is the kind of thing I'll be able to pick up in school."[/b] Raven said, giving a light joke. Beast Boy always joked, the Titan remembered, the light tone was a good thing to have on the team. “If only it had altered mine,” Raven looked down as Sinestro said that, she doubted that she had made the Lantern feel any better. “things might have turned out much differently. But back then, even her death wasn’t enough to stop my ambition. I really was the monster Soranik said I was.”"I don't think that you are a monster any more. Changing is what is important. It's not who you were but who you are and will be."[/b] Although that didn't stop past heros who had turned be held in a good light. "I suppose the more accurate idea would be whether you have good within you. Some loose it, but there is still a spark that can be recovered. Others gain it."[/b] “Could you… get me something cool? This fever… I think it’s getting worse.”"Of course. I'll be as quick as I can."[/b] The Titan said, willing to help. Placing the glass down she teleported into the kitchen and searched around for a cloth that she could dampen. Upon finding one she rinsed it in water, before teleporting back. The teleportation also left the cloth colder than just being run under water but hopefully not too cold. Still, she paused as she re-appeared, before placing it on Sinestro's forehead. [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] Good within him.
Sinestro had to wonder if he really had any good left in him. He had thought what he had been doing was for the good of the universe, though he had never believed the actions themselves had been good. It had all been for the greater cause- the ends would justify the means. He had never thought about anything else. That the end result that he had imagined would not have been the result that came from his actions. As it turned out, he was starting to think his actions would have made things worse. So where did that leave him? Was he good? Had he had any good in him from the start? Maybe that wasn’t the word to use for someone like him. Someone who was really good at making other people afraid of him.
He wasn’t sure he had good in him, so that left gaining it. He’d gotten a little closer with his daughter, and had gained himself a couple of friends. But did that make him any closer to being considered good? He wasn’t so sure. Those were just selfish antics to help himself feel better. There was nothing good about them. Even having the kitten was selfish.
Or maybe his fever was just making him think crazy things.
When she returned with the cool cloth, Sinestro sighed softly. The cold against his forehead was certainly welcome. It helped him relax, a slight small moving over his face, if only for a moment. He didn’t open his eyes, taking in the cool as it seemed to wash away his depressing thoughts for that moment. “That feels much better,” he muttered lowly, “thank you.” Thanking people wasn’t really his thing, but he imagined she deserved some gratitude. Not just for getting him the cloth, but for all the help she had offered him that day. She had done her best to make sure he was resting and not making himself worse, and while not everything had worked out quite as planned, he imagined she had still attempted to do more for him than anyone else would have.
It was strange, having someone there who was trying to help him, and not telling him off for how foolish he was or laughing at his misfortune. It was… kind of like having a friend. “You know,” he mumbled, caught between being awake and falling into a deep sleep, “if you had proper parents… they would be very proud of you.”
With that, he nodded off to sleep, his head tilting slightly to one side as he finally gave into the fatigue plaguing his body. Even his will power could not stave off sleep that was desperately needed, as much as he would have liked to stay awake and investigate Raven’s powers a little more. There was still more he wanted to know about how soul realm and the way various emotions may have affected her. It would have to wait for another time, however, as he was out like a light with no chance of waking up again anytime soon.
He had dreams about his past, ranging from pleasant to nightmarish. All-in-all, if was a very difficult night’s sleep for him, but still there was rest to be had.

They asked her to do it and she would. Once she had met someone who she could not heal; Jericho. He had been good but his power had left him split. It was no suprise to Raven that Sinestro had good within him. Not everyone saw the world the way she did. By emotions and souls. But it was there. The Titan wondered whether Sinestro believed that he had a soul, or whether they actually existed. A small amount of doubt flickered around her, Raven looked over to the alien and wondered what it was that he was doubting, was it the good within him? Most likely.
"There is good in you, don't doubt it, remember it." [/b] Raven said, giving a smile. There was almost always good in people, it just varied in amount and whether they decided to act on it. The good was usually morals, Raven found that some villians did have morals. Others did not, it was at this point that things became harder. Then she went to get the cold cloth and place it on Sinestro's head. The Titan hoped that it would be of help. “That feels much better,” Raven relaxed and smiled. "I'm glad."[/b] The Titan said. “thank you.” "No problem, I enjoy helping."[/b] It was better than her demonic side. She wanted to escape that part. Sleep appeared to be visiting Sinestro, Raven could tell that he was drifting off. It was good, he needed a rest, hopefully that would revive Sinestro and get him back to his original health. “You know,” Raven paid attention, moving a bit closer, it was harder to hear Sinestro as he drifted off. “if you had proper parents… they would be very proud of you.” Raven smiled and her eyes threatened to prick with happiness. "Thank you."[/b] Raven said softly, knowing that Sinestro would now be asleep. Before leaving, Raven teleported into the kitchen and fetched some ice for the glass of water. It should keep the glass cool and if Sinestro needed to cool down his cloth then he would be able to reach cold water. Also if he needed a cold drink it should be useful. Casting a glance back at the picture, Raven smiled and then teleported back to her own home. Tomorrow she would check up on Sinestro. [/blockquote][/div] [/style]
