Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

She supposed she was lucky that it was only a short amount of rage. “Yes, I knew it,” Raven looked over at the creature, it didn't look peaceful in death as they often said in books. “his name was Rogg. He was a member of my corps.” Raven frowned, thinking about that. Had Sinestro had different ideas before hand, or had the corps taken the original ideals and changed them. "If you don't mind me asking, do you know the reason why he wanted you dead. He called you a 'traitor'." [/b] Raven did not ask whether the red skinned alien had changed whatever rules he lived by. "You don't have to answer."[/b] She added. The body was destroyed in green fire and Raven watched. She was aware that it had life and it believed what it was doing was right. She had robbed some of its emotions after all. But she had dispelled as much emotion as possible and was still doing it. “I’ll bring her here- though I don’t know if she’ll actually show up.” Raven supposed that this could work, it may well be better than teleporting, after all, Raven had no idea where Sinestro's daughter may be. That would make it more difficult. “Soranik, come to the location my ring has dispatched- your medical expertise is required. Do hurry.” Raven was interested in meeting Soranik, Raven did have interest in the medical arts. “I’m fine,” That relieved Raven, she had been worried that her attacks would have been wild and dangerous. Her powers were closely tied to her emotion and anger did not make her safe. But something seemed wrong and Raven followed Sinestro's gaze to the strange purple that coated the ground, and then to his back where a gash crossed his back. Indigo eyes widdened in shock. “I suppose fine is a loose term,”"Oh Azarath,"[/b] Raven murmered as she took in the wound. “but my ring should heal this wound without much trouble.”"I am so sorry. I can attempt to help you heal, I can take away some of the pain and speed up the proccess."[/b] Raven appologised. Allowing herself to feel emotion was never good. Raven took a few steps back, though, worried that she might cause any more harm or that Sinestro would take offense. After all she had just attacked him (even if it were an accident) and then offered to heal him. “Is there a potential for something to happen to you if you lose control of your abilities like that? Or is it just the rest of us who fall into trouble?” Raven looked down at the ground, pulling her hood over her face. The topic was not something she was completely comfortable with. But Sinestro had told her about the creature being part of his corps. "Bad things happen..."[/b] Raven said, thinking of the danger of Trigion and her brothers. "My father and brothers... well, let's say that they don't have my best interests in mind. And the simplest way is through me and what I feel." When she had allowed herself to feel to much it had caused her to become evil, her home (Azarath) to be destroyed and for Raven to die. "I'm not always the person you'd want around."[/b] Now it was probably best to keep the distance, even though she had barely revealed anything life her demonic heritage. [/blockquote][/div] [/style]

"And Sinestro is the person you never want around. He created the Yellow Corps, a band of murderers and thieves that have raped and pillaged this universe more times than counting. He's responsible for the death of hundreds of millions."
Soranik said as she flew into the alley, the green light wrapping her body, enabling her to fly, filled the alley with green light as she arrived. Apparently these green Lanterns can travel very quickly. Already Soranik's ring was scanning for and analyzing any life present. Several heads up displays surrounded her, displaying information in an unknown code and language. each screen displayed infront of her was no thicker than a piece of paper, glowing green and displaying anatomical caricatures of Sinestro, Raven and the cat. One thing was fairly obvious on them all, each had a green bar at the top that could be seen from the other side of the screen. The cat's bar was red.
"You summoned me to tend to a dying cat, Sinestro? Is this some scheme? Is that cat even real?"
There is a biting distemper in her tone as she finally lands and begins to work. Who ever is holding the cat will be relieved of that privilege, if the cat isn't being held, then the table that Soranik summons will lift off of the ground, harmlessly bringing the cat up without disturbing it in the least. All manor of monitors and sensory devices spawn from the table and a strange lightly green tasteless, odorless, gaseous color fills the area, a box suddenly surrounds them, though the box is hardly a barrier to the likes of Sinestro and Raven. It is a decontamination blanket and with the blink of an eye, the entire area is sterilized of all microbes. The dirt and grime from inside the box looks vastly cleaner than that of the areas outside the box along the walls and on the pavement under their feet. A dumpster half caught in the sterile environment goes from looking like it's seen thirty years of service to looking brand new (But only on one side), of course all the dings and wear and tear are still there, but it is spotlessly clean now.
The expression on Soranik's face is one of pointed and obvious distrust, additionally, her breath smells faintly of alcohol, if one had to take a guess, margarita's or perhaps strawberry daiquiri. It wasn't that she was an alcoholic, but she might be headed there. She was near by actually, thus her arriving in short order, she was enjoying the local party life, well as best she could. It wasn't beyond Soranik to have a good time, just difficult. Still, she knew she would drive herself insane if she sat around fretting all day about Kyle and Sinestro. But that's all done and over for now, and it's time to work.
Thus far she hasn't touched the cat, rather a variety of almost science-fiction looking devices have been scanning it. The screens earlier devoted to scanning and displaying information about Raven and Sinestro blip and begin displaying various bioorganic subsystems of the cat, Skeletal, cardiovascular, circulatory, lymphatic and digestive.
That is when the problem is noted, the cat has suffered potentially fatal internal injuries due to trauma, which certainly fit the occasion. Internal bleeding was probably going to kill it, but Raven's healing had helped abate that. Rather than die, it would suffer over the next month or so while its meager body repaired the damage. Fortunately, Soranik is here now.
So that wont happen.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] She had offered to help him, but he wasn’t that interested in it. From what he had seen of the spell she had used, it seemed to harm her to try and heal others. Why bother with causing her pain, if his ring could eventually heal him without anyone else having to suffer? In any case, he didn’t find the wound large enough to bother with too much. It was more interesting that she was concerned at all. Why was she worried about someone she had just met? Because he was caught in her wild attacks? He imagined guilt had more to do with it than anything else, though for him that kind of emotion wasn’t really in play. He couldn’t feel guilty about his actions.
That would leave him in a bad place.
Sinestro was about to respond to her, when the sharp voice of his beloved daughter broke through the air like a thousand knives through a window. Well, it seemed as though she was in as chipper a mood as ever, if her tone and choice in topic were any indication. Perhaps he had woken her up from a nap or something. He smiled as she spoke, crossing his arms over his chest. Of course she felt the need to brag about her father- he had so many accomplishments under his belt.
“That’s right. That creature I killed was from my former corps,” he informed Raven, “though a large chunk of the team have been apprehended, there are a few still lurking about the universe in need of capture. Apparently they are still a bit sore with me for things that were out of my hand.” He shrugged his shoulders, aware she probably had no idea what he was talking about. He didn’t seem all that concerned about the things Soranik had said, in no way trying to defend himself or say she was lying about what she had said. Hey, everyone had their low points, right? It wasn’t like he was as proud of his antics as he had been a year ago- but he wasn’t about to say he had been wrong, either.
In either case, it was still true that she wasn’t lying about him, so he wasn’t going to try and act like he was being framed for something he hadn’t done.
“This is my daughter,” he told Raven, blowing off the previous conversation entirely. If she wanted to know more about his past, she would have to ask at another time. They had a new friend that needed to be healed, didn’t they? Soranik didn’t seem to believe it, looking at him quite skeptically. He scoffed in response to her question. “What would I gain from fabricating anything? I’m not that interested in getting your attention.”
Watching her, he frowned, a small barrier forming around the kitten after he had watched her work for a moment. Well, watched and taken a silent inventory of her condition with his ring. “If you would please sober yourself before you use your ring any further,” he said, his voice actually showing some real emotion in his irritation, “do you really have such disrespect for your duty? Treat every mission with equal importance, Soranik, I am disappointed you did not learn that in your training.” He watched her, a frown painting its way over his expression. The corps really had gone down hill after he had left, hadn’t it?
Naturally.
He looked at Raven, and offered her something related to a smile. “Kids these days,” he teased, knowing full well the one he was speaking to was likely much younger than his fully-grown daughter.

But what he would have answered, Raven would never know. "And Sinestro is the person you never want around. He created the Yellow Corps, a band of murderers and thieves that have raped and pillaged this universe more times than counting. He's responsible for the death of hundreds of millions." Raven looked over at the new comer, another red-skinned alien, but female. This must be the daughter that Sinestro had spoken off. It did not appear that she was very fond of her father.
Thinking about this new information, Raven wondered why he had been like that, at present he cared about a kitten and refused to hand it over to a cat sanctuary. Then again, many people did things that they were not proud of. It was Raven's fault for feeling too much that had caused her father to come through and to be fair she had gone evil more than once. “That’s right. That creature I killed was from my former corps,” It all seemed interesting, the story behind what had happened, although Raven considered that she would need to know more from both sides before she made any judgement. “though a large chunk of the team have been apprehended, there are a few still lurking about the universe in need of capture. Apparently they are still a bit sore with me for things that were out of my hand.” Raven wondered what it was that had left them 'sore' with Sinestro.
"You summoned me to tend to a dying cat, Sinestro? Is this some scheme? Is that cat even real?" Yes, it was obvious that she did not like her father. Raven could relate to that. Interestingly enough, the Titan considered, she could quite probably relate to both of them. “This is my daughter," Raven had figured enough. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Soranik." The hooded teenager addressed the doctor. "Thank you for coming to help." [/b] The Titan continued polietly, watching what Soranik was doing. Raven herself was interested in healing, although her powers were somewhat limiting when it came to healing. “What would I gain from fabricating anything? I’m not that interested in getting your attention.” Raven wondered whether the relationship between these two was anything as bad as Raven with her father and brothers. They certainly didn't seem to get along and Raven had gotten on with her brothers before. Of course, she had been evil then. . “If you would please sober yourself before you use your ring any further,” Raven's attention went back to the family and Soranik, she wondered whether she was trying to deal with problems (like father ones) or whether it was simply that she liked the taste. On the other hand it could be Soranik trying out what drinks they had on earth. “do you really have such disrespect for your duty? Treat every mission with equal importance, Soranik, I am disappointed you did not learn that in your training.” Raven wondered what exactly this mission was and whether Soranik considered herself off-duty when she did not have something activly to do. "I'm sure it is not too serious. And does your mission include time to intergrate with the human society and relax?" Raven asked softly. She did not want to pick sides, but she thought that Sora did not appear to be overly intoxicated, in fact it could not be seen in her work. “Kids these days,” Raven raised an eyebrow at this. She knew that her team was against having mentors step in with the young superheros lives. Raven herself had seen more years than to be considered a teenager, but her current body was younger than her previous one. "The Teen Titans and the Young Justice League would disagree with you. They might think 'adults these days'."[/b] Raven replied, still watching Soranik's procedure. "I would prefer not to take sides, but one of my friends did not have the best childhood and I am often a member of the Teen Titans." Raven explained, not wanting to offend a Sinestro, but wanting to make sure that Soranik was supported as well. [/blockquote][/div] [/style]

Due to no fault of Raven's at all, Soranik mostly ignores Raven. She was occupied with the task and fending her father off. When he mentions her intoxication, she simply sobers herself, mostly in the name of the task at hand and not some obligation or duty. True being a Green lantern was a 24 hour a day job, she had taken a page from other lanterns books concerning this. It need not be work 24 hours a day, she must have time off, she must have leisure, and for her, most very recently, that leisure did indeed involve drinking.
"I have more respect for these corps than you do. Do not presume to lecture me."
A small cup appears on the operating table and a green liquid coalesces inside, similar to watching mist lower in temperature and become water. As Soranik is running diagnostics, she lifts the cup with her hand manually and drinks every last drop, when she releases the cup, it vanishes into thin air. A moment or two later, all scans of her physiology would show the presence of alcohol molecules as well within range of sobriety. This is perhaps the first time ever Soranik has obeyed her fathers wishes without a fuss. Let it be noted in the annuls of time.
A thin green film spawns over her hands forming the shape of what appear to be rubber surgical gloves. She begins plucking various instruments from thin air, her hands reaching, the instruments appearing, just as she takes them. She lays the kitten on it's side at a 30 degree angel with its belly facing her. Two leg supports holding its legs spread gently out away from its torso, though it doesn't appear to be in any discomfort. A small mask attached to a mechanical arm had risen out of the table which fit the cat perfectly. This mask had administered a fairly obvious anesthetic agent, as any sort of consciousness in the cat prior was now gone. It was resting peacefully
Head gear spawns from thin air around Soranik's forehead, over one eye is a high tech magnifying glass that had a read out of the cats various vital statistics right on the lens, a mechanical clicking noise can be heard as the lens swivels into place in front of her left eye.
The proceedure will take less time than one might think. It's highly invasive abdominal surgery, but Soranik is just so damn good at using her ring for surgical procedures, she has become a master of it. Watching her is like watching an artist paint or listening to a pianist play Mozart. Every little incision, every tweeze, every poke, every tiny adjustment. Each time a new cut is made, Soranik discards the construct scalpel and fetches another one from a mess of them floating around her along with a multitude of other instruments.
On all the screens, all the cats vitals of it's various biosystems are still displayed. All of them are stable and calm. There is another screen which displays exactly what Soranik is doing in real time, presumably it is displaying what Soranik see's with the lens she has over her left eye. She has made an incision down the middle of the cat and is repairing the internal damages. Without getting to gory, many of its tiny organs had been injured in the melee.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] Sinestro saw fit to ignore his daughter at that point. If she was going to play the drunk and completely ignore her breeding, up bringing and job, then she was not the daughter he had watched grow up. He was not the woman he had assumed her to be, and really he wanted nothing to do with her. She was both old enough and smart enough to make her own decisions, but he hadn’t expected her to blow that all off and do completely idiotic things for the sake of it. It would be easy enough to go back to ignoring one another, even with the mission at hand. For a moment, he found himself quite annoyed- like he had actually been expecting something else to come from their little trip together.
Sentimental fool.
He turned his sights back on the teen, who was clearly in over her head. He wasn’t even sure she knew what she was saying, and that served to amuse him somewhat. At least it lifted his spirits. “You don’t seem to understand this situation,” he chuckled lightly, “but no matter. You can think what you please. A human’s opinion really makes little difference to me.”
With that, he turned back to watch Soranik, who seemed to be going to great lengths for something so minor. Perhaps she just felt like showing off. Considering her shift in attitude, he wouldn’t have been all that surprised if she just wanted to look like some kind of hero, just like Hal and the other earth lanterns. Fame. Being a ‘hero’. How annoying it was.
As she continued to work, Sinestro remained in place, in no rush to pace around or look like he was remotely concerned about the small creature she was tending to. That would just send more mixed signals. Still, he found it surprisingly difficult to keep presentable and in place, the picture of composure. His feet seemed to want to move around and pace the area, like he was actually… worried. About that tiny creature? She had merely bounced off the ground, surely she wasn’t that injured… but then… she was so small.
This was annoying. He needed to kill something to feel better.
In the meantime, he distracted himself by looking down at the wound in his side, a portion of his shirt removing itself from around the wound, as though it had simply melted away. The perks of having clothing controlled by his ring. He looked at the long, deep gasp, impressed by the scope of it. That girl had some power in her- to do such a thing to him without him even realizing it. It must have been a quick, fluid movement from that creature she had made. Interesting. Very interesting indeed.

Her healing skills were limited to her power. She took away pain and increased the healing, Raven herself healed fast (faster when there were positive emotions). In truth, Raven was impressed by Soranik's concentration, the doctor did not answer Raven's greeting and was focused on a kitten, of whom her father had taken a liking to. This was despite the obvious conflict between the two. Raven doubted that she would do anything for her father, suspecting a trap. Then again, she doubted Sinestro could have done anything as bad as Trigon.
"I have more respect for these corps than you do. Do not presume to lecture me." Soranik only responded to Sinestro and Raven decided that it would probably be the best course of action to not get involved in any family or Lantern politics. Not unless asked, of course. “You don’t seem to understand this situation,” This time, someone was speaking to her and Raven turned to listen to the reply to her earlier words. “but no matter. You can think what you please. A human’s opinion really makes little difference to me.” Raven simply nodded in response to show that she had understood. Of course she wasn't completely human but that was of no importance.
As she thought about that, Raven wondered if Soranik would pick up her demonic heritage at all with all the complicated medical scans that the Green Lantern had. It was focused on the cat, though, so she doubted that Soranik would find out. As they waited for the cat to be mended, Raven sensed worry and turned to look at it's source; Sinestro. It appeared that his worry was annoying him and the Titan frowned. Earlier in the conversation emotion had been kept down to a minimum. "Do you need me to calm you? You'r worried and that appears to be annoying you." [/b] The Titan said, she too was worried for the kitten, but she trusted Soranik to help heal her. Raven's attention flickered back to the kitten again, it appeared that the wounds were worse than the Titan had anticipated and she hoped that things would come out completely fine. She doubted that they woud loose the kitten, but she could still feel her own anxiety. "Your daughter is an accomplished doctor. I've never seen something so fascinating."[/b] Raven commented as she watched Soranik work. It was almost like a dance, or some work of art and Raven could tell that she was focused. Sinestro can think what he wants, the things Soranik does now are standard operating procedure. The medicine she is performing on this patient is light years beyond what most worlds have, and this is thanks to the combination of her ring and her medical knowledge. In truth, Soranik suspected that any skilled physician would do no less.
As she continues to work a spool of thread appears on the table, a needle floats around it. it is a surgical needle meant for stitching up wounds, so it is shaped oddly, with a little half loop at the end. A few moments after it is threaded, Soranik snatches it and begins sewing areas inside the cat she had cut open to repair. In truth, Sinestro was partially right, the cat had not suffered much damage, but the damage had been life threatening. Raven had done enough to save it, but since it is so young, it would've been stunted in it's growth as vital nutrients went into repairing the damage done. With Soranik's care, the cat will be healed to full weeks in advance and lead a healthier happier life because of it. Yes of course, it did amount to taking a child to the E.R. for a scraped knee, but in the medical world, there are various levels of standard care, at the lowest, physicians do enough to keep you alive, at the highest, they do everything in their power to ensure your quality of life is not only preserved, but better than it was before you came under their care.
Soranik simply administers the utmost highest amount of medical care she can to any being, no matter the injury, no matter the place or person. This is her sworn oath and she will follow it to the grave. Anything less would be a betrayal of herself and her profession.
"Sinestro, you will need to replace my constructs with your own when I pass this kitten back into your care. I'll be sending your ring construct schematics for a prescription drug to help foster the kittens recovery. Instructions for use will be included. But generally speaking, this cat will make a full recovery in 36 to 48 hours."
There was no doubt that Sinestro could figure out how the drug worked by studying the cat's physiology and studying the constructs in mind in order to divine the proper use, but including instructions seemed like a safer bet. She really only knew of him as a monster and didn't really consider Sinestro the best ring slinger in the universe, though he is, it wasn't how her opinion of him generally went. She decided the cats life was more important than petty rivalry though, so better safe than sorry.
On the flip side, it felt odd knowing she was about to release a delicate creature such as this into Sinestro's care. In the back of her mind, beyond all the hate and anger, it made her wonder if she hadn't been wrong about Sinestro all this time. And now according to this earthling here, Sinestro is even worried for the cats life? What on earth could possibly be going on?
Soranik considered these things as she sewed the cat back up. It's wounds had all be tended to and repaired utterly. It was being stitched and various fluids re-added, topical medications to help sooth pain and encourage healing. With Soranik's constructs, the cat would heal in days instead of weeks or a month or more.
She is nearly done. One by one the various screens around her bleep out of existence and the head gear she is wearing vanishes as well as the screen displaying exactly what Soranik is doing for the cat.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] Sinestro was a little more than shocked when the young girl spoke to him out of the blue, asking him if he would like her to calm him down. Covering his wound and straightening himself up, the Green Lantern looked at the young woman, frowning. “I am not worried,” he said quickly, though he imagined it was of little use to lie to her. Somehow, it didn’t seem like she had seen his feelings written all over his face, mostly because he was not one to show any kind of visible concern. Or any emotion, for that matter. But she had nailed his feelings right on the head with the proverbial hammer. Clearly, she had some kind of skill or power that allowed her to sense the emotions of others.
If only he had known about that little detail a little sooner.
Frowning, he looked back at Soranik, who seemed more interested in her work than listening in on their conversation. Perhaps there was a chance, then, that she hadn’t heard her blurt out his feelings like lottery ticket numbers. But if her senses were anywhere near as keen as a full blooded Korugaran, then she had heard them even while she was focused on her operation.
When his daughter spoke to him, he looked at her, attentive for the first time since they had both arrived on the planet. This was important information, after all. Though, really, he didn’t need her help in the department of constructs. Maybe she was just trying to feel superior to him, knowing more about the medical field. But he never claimed to be very good in that area- he knew she was the top banana. After all, he was much better suited to rip people apart than he was to sew them back together.
He would fight. She could heal all she wanted.
“Very well,” he said, “you did a good job. I knew you would be the right one to call, once you weren’t goofing around.” He turned his sights on the kitten, who didn’t seem to be in as much pain as she had been. It looked like Soranik had really done a good job, even if his tone had suggested he was being sarcastic with his gratitude. If he had it in him to honestly to thank her, he would have.
But it wasn’t in his genetic make up to be nice.
Looking at Raven, he smiled faintly. At least someone was more honest about her interest in the surgery. She seemed genuinely fascinated by everything Soranik had done. Maybe his daughter had found her first fan from earth. Or mostly from earth, anyway.

It was at this point that she remembered that she had not given Sinestro any reason to believe that she was an empath and capable of understand and controlling the emotions around her. “I am not worried,” The Titan frowned, it had been obvious that he was worried and now he was denying it. "I didn't mean to offend you." [/b] Raven said, although she did not believe that Sinestro was not worried about the kitten. The emotion had been clear. But from the speed of his reply, Raven assumed that he didn't want to be calmed down. Sinestro didn't speak any more and neither did Soranik. Raven assumed that both were focused on the kitten and the operation. That made perfect sense and Raven's attention only had ever briefly left the kitten. It was fascinating and the Titan wondered if she could ever ask about the procedure. Althoguh Raven doubted that she would be able to even be able to do one eight of that, she was interested in learning; especially if Soranik was able to teach her anything that the Titan might be able to do while on the field of battle with little to no equipment. So far, Raven only had her powers. "Sinestro, you will need to replace my constructs with your own when I pass this kitten back into your care. I'll be sending your ring construct schematics for a prescription drug to help foster the kittens recovery. Instructions for use will be included. But generally speaking, this cat will make a full recovery in 36 to 48 hours." Soranik spoke to Sinestro, but Raven listened, fascinated by the actions and wondering how much the rings could actually do. She had heard that the possibilities could be infinite and Raven wondered how dangerous they could be for a brief second. “Very well, you did a good job. I knew you would be the right one to call, once you weren’t goofing around.” It appeared that Sinestro was not one to give much praise. "Thank you, Soranik, your work is amazing, you much be a very skilled doctor and a welcomed addition to your team."[/b] Raven said, politely, wondering if Soranik would respond now, or whether she had something else to attend to. As Soranik sinks the last stitch into the kitten, she takes a bottle from the air that materialized along with many other instruments and surgical tools when she began. It's a bottle with a mister on the top, she uses it to spray some kind of green chemical onto the stitched up wound, which causes the stitches to dissolve, but the skin does not reopen, in fact, the wound closes even tighter, there is barely a seam where Soranik made the initial incision now. What she has done is made microscopic stitches, which will help alleviate scarring, there is also a chemical at work that promotes cell growth at the organelle level. She has essentially given the various epithelial cells a shot of espresso. So the wound will heal quicker.
Finally she turns to Raven first, ignoring her fathers meaningless empty praise.
"Thank you Raven, I am Soranik Natu, as Sinestro mentioned. I have been studying Medicine for nearly a third of my life. With the ring to aid me, I have learned to perform literal miracles of medicine. I would be honored to discuss it with you in more detail at a later date."
Which is really just a polite way of saying she didn't want to spend even a second more than she had to around Sinestro. One by one her other constructs vanish, the incredibly potent mist surrounding them all that keeps the entire place intelligently sterile, the medical instruments and tools, and finally, the table itself. Soranik takes the kitten into her arms gently, it is still unconscious and will be for several more minutes. Then she passes it into Sinestro's arms, but does so with extreme hesitance. As if she is almost certain the moment she hands it to him he will tear it in half.
She suspects Raven, who ever she may be, has been beguiled into befriending Sinestro briefly and that this is her cat. Sinestro is most likely misleading her to get something she has of value from her. Helping the cat he probably injured himself would be an easy ticket to buy trust. And now Soranik has become a part of it. Still she has nothing but her own paranoid delusions to boast as evidence and she will not speak unless she is certain. But the mistrust Soranik has for her father is astounding.
"If that is all, I think I'll be going.
She said, as she began to lift into the air.

He supported the kitten well as he took hold of it, making sure it wasn’t put into any kind of pain because he didn’t know how to hold it correctly. It all worked out, though, and he managed to hold onto it without causing further discomfort. Or maybe it was just because of whatever she had been put under. Either way, she continued to sleep without so much as a twitch as she was handed from one korugaran to the next.
For a moment, Sinestro was distracted, looking down at the small animal in his arms while Soranik and Raven spoke to one another. He didn’t really care what they talked about- he had much more important things to consider. Like how easy it was to fall in love with the animals on earth. Stupid planet. The humans were terrible, but the animals were cute. Kittens, he found, were especially cute. Not that he was going to be broadcasting that little discovery. Still, his emotions spoke for themselves, if one happened to be tuned in on them. He was feeling happy that the kitten was going to be alright, and content to have it in his grasp. He was even feeling a little fond of the tiny creature, though he didn’t know it that well yet. There was plenty of time to get acquainted with the creature- the kitten was going to be going back to the base with him. Hopefully his ring would have some decent information about cat care. He wasn’t sure he was going to know what to do if left on his own.
Raven had helped so much already, it seemed out of place to ask her to do more, especially since she was probably feeling a little up in the air about what had happened with her own powers.
He didn’t really understand what had gone wrong himself.
Still holding the kitten, one thumb gently brushing over her fur while she slept peacefully, Sinestro finally turned his attention on the two women. By that time, Soranik was getting ready to leave. He nodded indifferently, no hint to his feelings written on his face. “Alright, that should be everything,” he informed her, “I’m happy to see you can still perform your duties. Perhaps you’re not such a failure to me after all.” He chuckled faintly before turning his attention away from her, focusing on Raven instead. “Perhaps we should depart as well. I’ll let you visit sometime, perhaps, so you can see how the kitten is doing. Until then, I will be tending to this creature’s recovery. You should… rest, I suppose, after your trial today. I apologize for pulling you into my fight. It was not my intention.”
He didn’t feel too guilty about her getting involved, but humans seemed to like it when things were apologized for if they went wrong. Maybe it helped them feel better about what had happened, he couldn’t say. He just remembered Hal Jordan getting on his case whenever something happened to the both of them that was more Sinestro’s fault than anyone else’s.
Odd how much that seemed to happen.

It was also at this point that Soranik responded to Raven. "Thank you Raven, I am Soranik Natu, as Sinestro mentioned. I have been studying Medicine for nearly a third of my life. With the ring to aid me, I have learned to perform literal miracles of medicine. I would be honored to discuss it with you in more detail at a later date." "Medicine and healing is a fascinating subject," [/b] The teenager agreed. "If you have some paper and pen we can exchange adresses. If not I can always get some from home."[/b] Raven said. Teleporting back home was not too difficult to her, it wasn't that far away. As the cat was placed in Sinestro's hands and Raven silently noticed as he remembered how to hold the kitten. Raven did not comment, but kept an eye on Sinestro's efforts, ready to help is he needed it. But it appeared that Sinestro had mastered it and the sleeping kitten was supported. It looked like a peaceful scene. A small white kitten sleeping in the arms of a red skinned alien. The Titan had also noted Soranik's hesitence to return the kitten to her father. There was probably a lot to their story that Raven did not know. But she could feel Sinestro's happiness at having the kitten and that was an emotion that the Titan could cope with. It was these sorts of emotions that healed her and her life better in general. This time she did not point out the emotions, it was usually the negative ones that she pointed out and when she could help. "If that is all, I think I'll be going."“I’m happy to see you can still perform your duties. Perhaps you’re not such a failure to me after all.” Sinestro spoke to Soranik and Raven wondered if that was the best he could say. Soranik had been really helpful and now Sinestro has happy with the fully healed Sora. Then Sinestro spoke to Raven and the Titan listened. “Perhaps we should depart as well. I’ll let you visit sometime, perhaps, so you can see how the kitten is doing. Until then, I will be tending to this creature’s recovery. You should… rest, I suppose, after your trial today. I apologize for pulling you into my fight. It was not my intention.”"I'd like to visit the kitten. I'll try and bring over some catfood or a book on looking after kittens." Raven smiled. "And don't worry about getting me dragged into the fight. I've been in worse. I'm sorry for injuring you."[/b] Raven said, appologising for her actions.[/blockquote][/div] [/style]

To allow Sinestro to control her emotions and addle her mind was unacceptable. She did sneer slightly at his indignant response to her efforts, but then quickly let that rage slip from her fingers. She couldn't, she would refuse, to allow him to control her like that. As she lifted into the air she focused instead of Raven. Not even noticing the slightest bit of affection that Sinestro was giving the Kitten. In her mind she had surely just signed the cats death warrant, but she had learned to let go of such things. She had done her duty, the cat was healed and it's wounds were already mending at a supernatural pace. What happens to it now is beyond her control. It was a fact she came to accept long ago.
"I live in the Himalayas, you can't miss it. See you later."
After that, Soranik was gone. A thick green halo of light surrounded her, and then she bolted into the sky. A minor rabid distortion in the air only to her immediate area made a slight popping sound as she disappeared at intense speed and raced as a green streak across the skies until she was beyond eye sight.
She worried what influence Sinestro might have over Raven, but again, she has learned to separate herself from such things as best she can. The further away she got, the more content she became to simply letting, as they say, life run it's course.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] With Soranik gone, Sinestro imagined they were going to have to have a talk later on- she would probably like to know what angle he was playing, or if he was trying to use Raven for her powers. It wouldn’t surprise him if she thought he was working out some kind of horribly nefarious plot. Maybe if he weren’t feeling quite so conflicted with the kitten in his arms, he would have spent more time considering his options. As it stood, however, he had a small creature in his arms that needed a place to stay, and he had just the massive under-water base to let her roam around in.
Perhaps he would find some kind of small bed for her on the way back, just so he could give her some place comfortable to sleep.
Looking back at Raven, he let out a small chuckle when she apologized for hurting him. “Don’t’ worry about it- I’ve had worse. It’s already healing well, anyway.” He imagined it would be nothing more than a memory come the morning. Thanks to his ring, things barely even left scars. Only massive wounds were difficult for the ring, and could result in injuries leaving behind their marks. She would have to try harder to get through his thick skin.
Still gently holding the kitten, he smiled. “Well, I suppose this is good bye, for now. I’m sure you’ll be able to find me if you need something. Perhaps there may come a time where I can help repay the favor. You know, for you helping me today.” Things had gotten a little weird, but the fact remained that she had helped him out when that yellow lantern sprang into things.
He nodded his goodbye and lifted himself into the air, moving smoothly so he didn’t wake the little thing in his arms. Not that he thought that shaking her violently would wake her up. She seemed very much out cold. Looking back down at her, he offered her a slight wave before getting himself higher into the air and shooting off into the distance. He didn’t move nearly as quickly as Soranik, but she hadn’t had a little guest to travel with. Though their rings protected them, and anyone else, from the effects of the world around them, he somehow still felt it would be in his best interest to move a little slower than normal.
Just in case.
