Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

[atrb=border,0,true]So Cut Out The Heart And Watch the World Burn Down
Loki merely rolled his livid green eyes at the spider. Oh well, So he had saved Stark from a broken nose and a possible concussion, let alone utter humiliation. Though that was not his problem, Stark was merely a pawn right now.
However the man that joined him in the causing of chaos was a familiar face, a Mortal of villainous intelligence that only matched the masked man's brute strength. Such a player on the board would only shift the odds in his favor even further.
He watched with a hideous smirk as the mortal leviathan tore through everyone that tried to stop him and towards Loki. He could hear the insanity and the pleasure in the man's voice as he spoke. "It is a rarity that I find a Mortal worthy to accompany me in my pleasure, By all means Bane, I welcome the aid. It is only-" His words were cut short. As a familiar blast of energy from the destroyer harnessed weapon collided with his side.
This was the second time he had been fired upon with that blasted shield weapon at close proximity. He knew that yet again he had went through something or a few somethings, and landed into some. He felt something slightly cool and wet, it must have been the bar his back had forced through after smashing through a set of tables, possibly chairs.
Needless to say what ever it had been that he finally landed on was not soft as he heard it shatter around him and shards fall to the floor.
Loki remained in the half slouched seated position for a moment or two, as his ears were ringing and his back throbbed almost worse then his side. He heard some one give a gloriously hopeful speech to the people, no doubt it was captain. The man out of time was no threat to him.
At all. He had easily displayed that once before. Though just as he was about to remove himself from the rubble. Loki easily threw a large bit of the wood top that had been once apart of the bar violently into the cowering crowd of people.
Just as he was about to finally bring his aching body back to its feet. Stark fired a barrage of weaponry. In which his attempt at a block was only enough to stop a few that were fired last. Merely forcing him further into the floor and rubble.
Bane could handle them for a moment, or so the Demi-god was hoping for as he slowly began to pull himself out of the debris of the flooring and the walls, probably part of the ceiling as well. However they were all going to pay for that. Rather dearly.

The God of Thunder

So you would take the world I love as recompense for your imagined slights. - - The God of Thunder[style=margin-top: -10px; margin-right: -10px; border: #fff 1px dashed; padding: 5px; overflow: auto; width: 360px; height: 200px; font-family: trebuchet ms; font-size: 9px; line-height: 15px; background-color: #0F0F0F; color:#8E8A8E;filter: alpha(opacity=50); -moz-opacity: .50; opacity:.50;]
The night darkened and suddenly lightening broke across the sky. The low roar of thunder followed. Wind and rain joined, diluting the freshly spilled blood on the marble tile as it poured in through the windows. Every drop of blood on the floor he could taste, for this was his penance. These lives were on Thor's head as well. His brother was his responsibility, the albatross with its calculated grip around his neck, a transaction of broken realities to weigh upon his heart. "Loki!" he breathed steadily, letting every stretch of air reverberate on his lungs. No one would pay for anything. No more innocent blood would pool at their feet. This madness would end here. No more, no more.
Thor broke through the mansion's glass ceiling, opening the room to the sky and storm, and landing his boots into the collection of rubble and lost breath of life. Lightning flashed again, this time above them, replacing the illumination once provided by the crystal chandelier, and echoed once more by thunder. He recognized Stark and the Captain, knowing very well they could handle the other threat in the room while he traded words with his brother.
"This realm is not yours to gamble with lives so cheaply." Thor did not allow Loki the time to recover, and instead lifted the Demi-god from the pile of debris and gripped the leathery fabric of his attire firmly, raising him to meet his face. His voice hot and trembling with anger, Thor tensed and spoke, his words heavy and threatening, much like the tempest outside threatening to swallow them all.
"You will return to Asgard. You will concede to your sentence, and you will stop this. Your madness ends here." Mjolnir was at his side, but he did not move it. Instead, Thor finished his words by slamming Loki into the nearest wall, not once releasing his brother from his hold.
Not again.

But her attention was quickly diverted back to Loki, he was priority number one after all, and he didn't know how to play nice either, throwing a stool at Stark like that. At least it got him to stop cursing her name for a minute, but she was glad the Spiderman had stopped it from hitting Tony, even if the man did have a way of pissing her off semi-constantly. Her chest puffed out just the slightest bit, chin raising and her nose in the air as she looked at Loki with a sense of defiance in every last gesture, "Ya know, underestimating us is a good way to get yourself injured Loki," She hissed in retaliation, shoulders squared as she refused to be moved, even if instinct was telling her to turn tail and put distance between her and the mad demi-god. She was looking into his eyes as best she could from over her glasses and the hint of madness there was more then enough to set her skin crawling, "Why thank you Spidey," Danii said with a nod, a shame she would no doubt be ruining it before the end of the night, "I'd step away from the crazy dickhole in green though, if I where you," Just a friendly warning. She tilted her head, trying not too take too much attention off of Loki, but she had a certain measure of unfinished business with Bane, "You again," It was a growl and when she heard the Captain come in with Bucky Barnes, who she hadn't really spoken to personally but would trust with her life simply because the Captain did, the blonde let herself believe that the odds were turning father into their favor. The blast that sent Loki flying was enough to rustle her hair and she gave a wide eyed glance to Bradley, giving him an okay sign, "That Bradley, we need more of that, thank you!" She wanted one of those, Danii made a mental note to put one on her Christmas wishlist. With the appearance of Thor, it looked like they had enough people to look after Loki, and Spidey and Sue could check on after the survivors, "Vaughn, Bradley, take Zara and see if you can help any wounded get out of here alive," She barked the orders over the sudden sounds of chaos and turned her attention to Bane, ripping the bottom of her dress of at the knees as she did so, "You! You're mine this time you steroid ridden bastard," He packed a punch, but she had an accelerated healing factor on her side, so she ran forward, aiming a right hook square to his gut to test the waters, ready to step back and put distance between them when he moved to counter. [atrb=border,0,true] Now things were really starting to get heated up. Still nothing fazed or moved him, except for a small shard of wood that could have ripped through his jugular. It was an easy dodge, luckily. He was kinda glad that his out-of-the-way spot was one of the least touched in the room. More heroes from the other universe poured in, and finally Cole couldn't help his curiosity and started to note the way they moved, and how they were dressed, and their powers. There was a star-spangled man, and a partner of sorts, who both seemed to have super agility and endurance, much like himself. A tall blonde woman, who everyone seemed to know, was waiting around for something to fight, and talking trash. A man clad in iron was packing heavy artillery, and Cole couldn't help but admire him. He had walked into the party earlier already drunk; since the switching Cole had seen his face plastered on billboards all over New York. Apparently, he was a multimillionaire by the name of Tony Stark. A web-clad guy could jump around like a frog and shoot webs from his hands; it was a useful power, definitely. One of the women trying to help civilians out of the windows had a force field ability. The green-clad villain, Loki of Old, had magic powers, and he threw people around and killed them without any effort at all. Then, a final man, red-caped with a hammer, flew in with a crackle of lightning and addressed the other God as his brother. Knowing Asgardian mythology, that must be Thor. Even Cole didn't know why he knew that. Maybe it had been something he read as a kid or at the Coda headquarters. Definitely a interesting bunch. Cole sighed and straightened up. Maybe it was time to add himself to the rabble.
There was a crash, and Cole's eyes were drawn to a hulking figure making an entrance. Finally, someone he recognized. BANE. He had never actually met the man before, but Cole had heard stories from one of his best pals, Batman. Bane was supposed to be vicious, relentlessly taking down all that stood in his path. It was easy to see how he could; his sheer height probably made it easy. He was easily six foot six. So it was decided in Cole's head. He would pick off Bane. After all, Loki looked like he was covered pretty well. The other heroes would deal with it. The blonde woman immediately spotted Bane, too, and made her way toward him. This made Cole feel a little more relaxed. Backup would be helpful; Cole had a feeling he'd need it. Diving forward, he pulled his mask out of his pocket and tied it around his face. There. Hero mode initiated. With a deft twist of his arm, his colt slipped down into his hand. Into the fray. In no time he was by the huge man, and right next to the blonde. She was a looker, but, Cole knew, Tough meat. And she smacktalked like hell. Honestly he was tempted to flirt, but he pushed the thought away and told himself that she wasn't his type. "Hi, there. I thought you could probably do this on your own, but you know more than anything that this is easier with a helper." Cole addressed the blonde quickly as he dived to the side and then immediately shifted his weight, propelling himself back up again, an attempt to get his arms around Bane's neck.

Post by Bane on Oct 21, 2012 7:10:57 GMT -5
The madness was coming together nicely; he hadn't done much yet, but already things had escalated at a very rapid rate. Fighting, shooting, harsh words and dead bodies - blood was staining the floor, puddling around his boots, while everyone tried to scramble themselves together. People had come through the windows in attempts to bring aid, others had began suiting up in hopes of making much of a difference. They weren't going to, though - he was already sure of that. The problem they would soon have would be the lack of explanation to what he had in mind, exactly. The brand of hell he planned on unleashing was far worse than they were expecting.
He watched as Danii pulled to her feet and stared at him, chuckling to himself as he casually removed his heavy jacket, tossing it over a nearby, so far undestroyed table - Loki seemed to have his own trouble for the time being in the form of a second Asgardian. Thor, he would presume. That was going to be an interesting brawl - but for the time being, he had his own hands full. Not that he couldn't take care of the situation; but it would certainly take focus. After all, it was panning out to be Bane vs Captain America, The Winter Soldier, Danii Washington, and whoever her masked compadre was - in truth, he didn't care for their names. Just their blood.
Of course, that was quickly all secondary, as Miss Washington seemed to have decided it was fighting time. A surprise he had for her; an increased strength that would surprise all of them - what a perfect way to display his new found strength. As her right hook came in, his own fist raised, gripping it tight in her palm. He tilted his head a little, watching as she shoved into his fist, before shoving her straight back, fists raising once more.
The next man came in with attempts to wrap arms around his neck, grasping the front of his shirt, before tossing him back, keeping his movements slow and control. This was going to be fun - he rolled his arms, stretched out, and readied himself, before he stepped up and in feigning a strike, before he backed up again, watching their reaction.
"This will be most interesting. Two people who wish to try and make a point at my expense. I will enjoy breaking you both over my knee; just like that infernal Batman. Of course, you will both be so much easier - consider yourselves my practice run for bigger prey."
He was the shark, and they were his seals - all that was required now was that he broke through the body of ice. That would be no trouble at all; not with how much damage he planned on doing. With the pair of them shifted from him, he stepped in, taking a massive swing for Danni, quickly following up with one for Cole - he wanted them both floored, and to start dividing early. There was no point in making his work twice as difficult - all he had to do was put them on their back heels, and then he could pick them off separately.
He knew that the plan wasn't exactly simple, of course. He had to be better than them at every turn, and it was only a matter of time before someone else became involved in the brawl, but that was why he would have to remove each threat as quickly as possible; when he removed the trouble that would cause him difficulty, he could focus on each threat that stepped into the fray as they were, not as a group.

"On it. Let's get these people out of here."
Soon enough, there was a Captain America on the scene, along with another soldier, followed by another threat (a big guy!) But then another big guy showed up (this time it was Thor, and he was playing for their team, so Peter was glad to see him). It was just an entire party costumed characters, but he remained focused on escorting the people out of the building. With Loki getting blasted by their entire arsenal and being pounded on by a thunder god (and subsequently down for the count), that left Spider-Man and Tony Stark open to guard the escape route. Rain was beginning to pour in from the open ceiling, painting the room in a grim scene.
Once more, the party goers scrambled for the windows, so far the only means of escape. With the heroes presence, they were helping the injured escape as well. "Alright. You're safe now. Proceed out the window careful not to step on the grass- I mean glass." there were dead bodies to step over as well, but they were left on the ground for the moment. A woman was still crying over her dead husband. She could have been Aunt May's age.
He bent down by her side for a moment and spoke softly. "Listen, hey, what's your name?" she answered him through broken sobs with Meridith, and that her husband's name was Doug. She was shivering and wet, stroking his hair hair lovingly. Peter knew that feeling, losing someone you loved hurt straight down to your core. He placed a comforting arm around her, his voice mildly wavering. "Doug would want you to be safe. I need you to leave along with the others. I'm so sorry.. I understand, but.. I promise, I'll take care of him." He folded the man's hands on his chest, and helped her stand. Once everyone was out, Spider-Man could refocus his attention on the threats in the room, but for now his job was to protect them. He turned to see Danii throw a punch at Bane, only to be tossed aside with Cole like they were weightless dolls. This was not going to be an easy fight.

He was kind of looking forward to the ball in DC since he heard that he was going to be going there after training. But he didnt think that it was going to take this long to take a cab, to well, anything. He sat in the back, nervously tapping his fingers on the door panel. He looked out at the nations capital, it was lit up, and bright and kinda reminded him of New York.
Finally the cab stopped, but about three blocks from where he needed to be. He tapped the cab driver on the shoulder. "Hey why did we stop?"[/color]
The cab driver just shrugged at him "It looks like there is something going on, lots of flashing emergency vehicles. Traffic wont seem to let up. Id suggest getting out here sir." Logan sighed heavily. He hated anything to have to do with strenuous labor that didnt involve work. And yeah this was a work thing, but more publicity than anything else. He paid the cab fare, and then swung open the door, getting a better look of what was happening.
Even the emergency vehicles were blocked from getting to where they needed to go, and he saw a flash of lightning as the night sky darkened even more, and then he saw one of the SHIELD jets hover over where he was trying to go. "Well this can't be good.."[/color]
He took off on foot, trying to get there as fast as possible, but it was hard for him to move as there was a crowd of people running against him. He kept having to say "Excuse me, pardon me. MOVE."[/color] It seemed that in a crisis, no one had manners...oh wait. No one ever did.
After he made his way to the outside of the manor, he noticed the piles of bodies in grass, and the last trickle of survivors piled from the broken windows. Something was definitely wrong, and he needed to get in there, and find out what. He crossed the lawn, trying very hard not to trip on the bodies as he did so, and tried peeking in the window. There was Loki, the demi-god brother of Thor, Danii, some guy in red and blue spandex with a spider on his back, along with another creepy masked guy, who looked to be against all the good ones. There was also Rogers, and his friend, that just busted in on the party.
Logan checked his arms to make sure that he was equipped, he couldnt remember if he had done so before getting out of the cab. He was good to go, so he scaled the wall, and then swung into the room, throwing daggers at Loki's masked friend since Loki was being pinned by his big brother, giving him the spanking that he probably deserved for being a naughty little shit, landing next to the one in the blue and red spandex.
"Hope you dont want to see an invitation. Who are your friends, they seem positively horrible."[/color]

Tony grinned and made a "cha-ching" movement with his arm when his weaponry hit Loki, who already looked down for the count. But just as he was about to approach him, JARVIS went crazy with his heads-up display.
"Sir, I am detecting unusual weather patterns in the upper stratosphere. It appears that a storm is quickly approaching. Frequent lightning strikes."
Tony's grin did not leave him, though the mechanical red-and-gold helmet did not change its expression. "Well what d'ya know? Percy Jackson finally decided to join the party."
Thunder roared and rain poured in through a hole that was made in the ceiling and Tony stepped out of the way as Thor came marching up, his sights set on Loki. Whew. The Man of Iron sure was glad that glare wasn't aimed at him this time. Such a screwy family, he mused. He was pretty sure even Jerry Springer couldn't handle that kind of crazy.
About the time that Thor began wailing on his kid brother, Tony also noticed Danii sailing backwards, past him. What the... He turned around to see the giant monster of a man from before, Bane, knocking Cole clean away as well. Great. So the juggernaut could literally lift a person with his pinkie. Just the person Iron Man felt like fighting today. He was still drunk, for Pete's sake. It was lucky that his aim hadn't been off with Loki, but he wasn't sure that if he kept seeing two of everything, he could continue being of much help. Maybe Danii needed to bitch-slap him again.
I'd rather not.... He grumbled to himself as his suit turned, mechanical boots stamping down on the floor with the sound of iron against tile.
"Hey, Nacho Libre, how about picking on someone your own size?" Tony called out to the new foe, bending at the knees and raising his hands, palm-out, to point at Bane. "Well, actually, The Hulk's not here right now so I guess I'll have to do." He fired two repulsor blasts at Bane.

Post by Jonathan "Scarecrow" Crane on Oct 24, 2012 2:37:46 GMT -5
[atrb=border,0,true]A Living Heart Attack Loose in the Dark .
Crane Had mere hours to plan for this. Though his mind worked wonders on such things. Small details such as ventilations, the air conditioning systems. The volume of the building had to be calculated, so that the correct amount of toxin could be used for proper coverage. Regardless that he knew the floor lever would bear the concentration of the dose As that his chemical concoction was more dense the the air it was going to be introduced into. According to Angeles, thats where it was needed the most.
Such things worked in the master of fear's favor.
It was a most perfect of setting, that as he had arrived with Bane. His masked cohort could cause trouble, but as Crane slipped around the side of the building in his own ghoulish facade, it seemed as though others had kicked started the fight. The sounds of screams echoed about the building. Reverberating from the walls. It was music to his deranged brain.
Crane kept his gangling form away from the windows and in the shadows while he worked on connecting the several necessary canisters to the various master ventilation units on the ground level. He cared not for the flashing of lights of blue and reds, that they were not, for once, directed at him. In fact the existence of the scarecrow was unknown at this event. There was a dark grin that split his normally thin lipped face under the burlap mask.
Oh how he loved nights like this. The pressure that would have been created by the adrenaline flow. A function now that Crane no longer felt the pleasure of, just the sheer memory was enough to cause him to burn with hatred. As it was directly connected with the ability to feel fear. Something which Was no Longer capable of.
Crane shook his head dispelling his anger the best he could, pushing it to the recesses of his mind. It could be directed at others later. Just a few more moments, until, well that was strange. the sky had been clear most of the night. Cloudless then out of the normal. Something science could not explain, a violent storm. He let out an exasperated sigh, but kept his head focused, until the product of the storm smashed through the roof.
No, this was not. Not going to help, he had to feed the toxin through now. This wind, rain, would not do his great creation the justice it deserved. With one sharp movement of his wrist The Scarecrow sent the valves to open. Spilling the clear, orderless contaminate into the mechanical lungs of the building. It would suffocate. Crane smirked under the burlap that covered his face, regardless of the rain, he ran a gloved finger across the brim of the hat upon his head as he stalked mercilessly towards the entrance.
Though upon seeing the people scrambling, his odd attire was a bit lost in the visual noise of it all. Tall, thin, clad in dull browns. a worry for not as he walked over the busted door. No doubt caused by Bane. He merely stood, watching the people scream, taking it in. This was true fear, nothing that was caused by his toxin was even comparable.
It was only a matter of time before entire room was over taken. Heroes alike.
. Its all or nothing Its Written in blood. |

[atrb=border,0,true]So Cut Out The Heart And Watch the World Burn Down
Loki barely had time to move, or even sit up again before Thor made his move and presence known. As he was dead lifted from the ground. He could hear the anger in Thor's voice, the rage, it all. Loki did nothing but laugh at his statement. "your right its not mine." He spoke as he wrapped a hand around Thor's wrist to support himself a bit better. The tips of his boot barely scraping the ground.
"It Is merely a stepping stone. " He spoke as he laughed again, They have something that belongs to me and I intend to take it back. One way or another" It just happened that, Loki, had decided to take today, cut lose. Have a bit of fun. It had been shield that spotted him. that drew their own attention to him, making him out to be the culprit in things, Even though he had been the one to kill Borris. It mattered not now.
He groaned out loudly when Thor felt the need to smash him into the wall. His growl turned into a hideous laugh. He was never going to go back there willingly. "You are so misguided to think that it will be this easy, to just toss me into a few walls and drag me back. Heh" His voice still bore the malicious tone as the time and time before they had these conversations.
Oh yes, this was happening again. He was going to fight, nothing was there to force him to submit other wise. Now they could see just what force he was capable of. Loki kept his grasp on Thor's wrist as he reached his free hand towards his not brother's chest with a blade in his hand. Every intent in his acidic green eyes to stab him in the heart.

THE WAR IS WON [style=border-right:10px solid #0066CC; letter-spacing:0px; border-top:10px solid #0066CC; background-color:#000000; padding: 3px; font-family:arial; font-size:10px; text-align:justify; line-height:9px; ]There was allot of detestation occurring right now due to Loki's wraith that resulted in complete anarchy, which had taken over the Angeles Ball like a plague of chaos. The anarchy commenced by Loki was fueling other villains to show up and cause their own form of mayhem. Captain America was quickly trying to grasp the situation surrounding him and his teammates. He was in the heat of battle when he seen Spiderman who was busy assisting the innocent civilians out of the ball, which was a significant achievement for the heroes in this hostile environment. The number one priority was to save all the innocent civilians from this menacing danger before anymore harm could transpire upon them.
Meanwhile.
Lady Liberty was quite impressive in showing the big masked fellow her potency of power. She had allot of courage and bravery just like Captain America possessed. He was once a puny kid who possessed no strength at all, but throughout that time up until now, he always had a heart bigger than America itself filled with gallantry. He had the mentality of being brave with valour and to never back down from any adversity, plus to show evildoers that justice will always prevail. Captain America is just a kid from Brooklyn, but one that will fight until his dying breath, and would sacrifice himself to save these innocent people, although that wasn't going to be necessary, because 'The Star Spangled Man With A Plan' had no intentions in failing this act of deliverance.
Captain America witnessed Lady Liberty putting up a struggle against this big masked fellow, then what happened next provoked Captain America with anger. All of a sudden, the big masked fellow propelled Lady Liberty through the air, then Iron Man sent out two repulsor blasts that struck him effectively. Captain America was more than ready to engage into battle with the big masked fellow, but what he didn't know yet was that it was about to be a battle between 'Venom' versus 'Super Soldier Serum', plus his vibranium shield would be an advantage against the big masked fellow. Captain America observed Thor dealing with Loki, so it was grand to know Thor had him under control for the time being, then he glanced over at Lady Liberty to make sure she was unharmed, and finally back on the big masked fellow who his primary focus was on. The best defense was a good offense.
Iron Man was actually being overwhelmingly effective right now, which was not that common for Captain America to witness, due to his consumption of alcoholic liquor on a daily basis. Nonetheless, when he strapped on the iron suit, his assistance was helpful indeed, and it was grand to witness him being useful as the two weren't the best of pals. With Iron Man, Thor, Lady Liberty, and Spiderman present, well it certainly gave a sense of hope that they could actually conquer these evildoers in triumph and justice. After all, this was the land of the free and the home of the brave, and this big masked fellow was about to learn fast that Captain America was the bravest one with the heart of a patriot who ultimately believed in freedom, peace, and happiness among all nations.
A quick moment after Iron Man's two repulsor blasts did their damage to the big masked fellow, Captain America used his enhanced strength to strike the big masked fellow with a blast of his own, but that blast came from his vibranium shield that struck the big masked fellow completely upside his head. Iron Man was being humorous again as usual, since he never really took anything serious, or never showed the emotion of it, but Captain America knew that was Iron Man's way of handling the action of combat.
This battle ensuing made Captain America think of fighting on the front line with Winter Soldier in the war, but this modern day chaos and confusion started to make Captain America dislike the modern world due to the rise of all these sinister acts of immoral and malevolent evil transpiring everywhere nowadays. "Avengers Assemble!" Captain America hollered out in a battle cry to intimidate the villains present. Captain America struck the big masked fellow once already so he held his vibranium shield in front of him for protection.
The battle against good and evil continued! [/style]

Post by "Mad Dog" Norman Mars on Oct 24, 2012 12:34:30 GMT -5
In a way it came together all too perfectly…. At first Mars must admit he was little apprehensive of making his presence felt at Angles little party. He didn’t play well with others and the idea of working with Angeles little group was laughable. Besides, if he were to attend, he tended to stick out in a crowd, how long would could he keep up the illusion of being a normal party guest before the overwhelming urge to gouge someone’s eye out became too much? How long before the voices in his head would began screaming for him to kill? Than, a simple left elegant solution came to the demented mind of “The Mad Dog” … Throughout the events of the night Norman Mars masqueraded as a mind mannered waiter, and if he could allow himself a moments of ego stroking. He played the role beautifully. After “borrowing” a uniform from a oh so helpful waiter (He won’t be needing it anymore) He managed to slip in through the back undetected. Once in the main room he managed to stay inconspicuous mainly lucking in the shadows to avoid those who might recognise him. If someone approached him asking for food or alcoholic beverage of some description? Than he would play a good little waiter and fulfil all their needs with a smile, all the while imaging what they would like without their skin… And when Angeles’s plan came into effect? He played his role to a tee. He gasps, he panicked, he screamed in absolute horror as the while inwardly cheering with glee at the events that took place over the night. However regrettably he needed to drawn his eyes away from the violence as the so called “Heroes” Began to evacuate the guests, less they become a unfortunate casualty. It was at this point Mars saw the perfect moment to reveal himself. While his associates was busy with Nick fury’s personal army. The one he was told was “The Spider man” was dealing with the incidentals…Momentary preoccupied. Now was the time to strike… Inching ever so quietly into Spider’s man field of vision, Mars suddenly unleashes a scream of pain and collapses on the ground gesturing towards his ankle with one hand…and slowly reaching for his trusty switchblade located in his jacket pocket with the other… “Ahh!” Mars wailed. “My ankle! I think…I think its broken, Spider-man! Please help me! Oh God, I don’t want to die!” [/b] Though on the outside he seemed on the verge of tears, fear stricken. On the inside, he was elated. The itsy bitsy spider was about to be ensnared in Mars’s very own net…[/center]

Post by Cole "Grifter" Cash on Oct 24, 2012 20:43:41 GMT -5
[atrb=border,0,true] Cole's attempt seemed like it was going to work at first. Bane seemed a bit confused and overwhelmed with the two heroes coming at him at once. But at the last second, Cole realized that he had been wrong, and that Bane was really ready for anything. The huge man's arm shot out, and Cole barely had time to put an arm up in self-defense before he was jarred by the impact of Bane's swing. Cole was thrown backwards, his speed almost doubled- in a waay different direction. It wasn't a up thing, too, so Cole could use it to his advantage and flip over. No. he flew back and hit the floor, sliding among shards of broken glass. Careful not to touch his hands to the ground, He struggled to his feet; his arm hurt like hell, but what the heck. Things needed to be done. Cole was up on his feet again in a flash. But Cole found that again, his target was covered. The man in iron had seen Bane and in no time had dispatched a round of artillery to the masked giant. It would merely slow him down, Cole thought. But one couldn't help but be jealous of the Iron Man. It would be so cool to have stuff like what he packed. Cole hadn't been that loaded since he was still with the military. Then the star spangled man jumped in with his shield. Grifter toom this opportunity to rest for a second and take in huge gulps of air, prepping for more action. No more than two breaths later, Cole began to get a wobbly feeling in his stomach. Bad memories rushed to the forefront of his mind. It was a thing that was all too familiar- the peculiar effects of knockout gas. He had seen legions fall at the smell in the war. Also, the Coda had trained him to avoid it; the daemonites often were clever enough to use it as well. Normal people weren't usually able to detect it until it had overwhelmed them, and it was too late. And damn, no gas mask with him. He inwardly cursed at himself. If only Bane's mask could come off... The violent giant was safe from it. No one else was, except maybe the gods, whose superior immune systems worked overtime. Cole's next thought was the windows. The people standing next to them would be safe... For the moment. As Cole got more and more lightheaded, he approached Bane slowly again. Danii was laying where she had landed, probably to avoid Tony and the Captain's attacks. Bane was bound to be mad now, but for a moment he would be distracted. It was a time to take the leap again. There were also several new villains about, Cole sensed, before his head in general began to fail. It was only with a big burst of energy that he kept himself awake, and move forward, Bane his target yet again, the trigger of the Colt pulled, a bullet aimed for the back of the metal mask. It would hurt...

Danii commented offhandedly to Cole when he stated his intentions of jumping in. She was a proud girl, but even she could recognize a fight that she would need help in, and this was going to be one of them. Danii hadn't forgotten just how rough the last meeting between her and the masked man had been. He caught the punch and Danii grit her teeth, trying to wretch her hand away from him with very little success, had he actually manged to get stronger since last time? She was going to find and kill whoever supplied this guy with these drugs if she got out of this one alive. And there she went, it wasn't so bad until she was being flung across the room, that was kind of a pet peeve of hers, it just had a way of annoying her deeply. The blonde attempted to right herself, but unfortunately she didn't have a feline mutation and landed on her side instead of on her feet, like she had been attempting to do. And yes, that hurt like a bitch, but she attempted to shake off the impact, the blonde healed faster then normal people did and she could already feel the bruise on her side fading even as it blossomed, it really was a curious thing to be able to feel your body repairing itself. No point in getting between Thor and Loki, Danii shook herself off and ran past Tony firing off repulsor blasts "Watch where your shootin! I'll slap you again if I have to," The blonde was pretty sure the man was still toasted, but as long as he was shooting straight, she wasn't going to hold it against him. Danii was sure that the knock the Captain had given Bane had at least rung his bell. Or so she hoped as she came running up behind Steve, the Captain never stopped being cool in her book though, and damnit she always wanted to say that! One day she was totally going to say that, because there was no way they could loose with so many of them here right now. Jumping on his shoulder and essentially using the man as a springboard as she clamped her hands together and swung them down on Bane with all her momentum as she came down, landing on her knee and rolling out of the way in time to hear a gun shot. Really the last thing she wanted today was to be tossed around like a rag doll again, it was just such a pet peeve of hers. Out of the corner of her eye she saw a scarecrow standing in the doorway to the manor, but she didn't have a chance to wonder about it, not wanting to take her eyes of Bane, if even for a moment. When a girl had a score to settle, she made sure to settle it. When Dom was dragged past Eve gave her a deep frown, "Least I ain't the one bein' dragged off by some guy in a cheap suit," Eve replied without a second thought, frowning deeper when her brother was mentioned. She never had agreed with the things he did, or what Dom did for that matter, and especially not the things that Dom got Malaki into, they were especially bad. Either way though, she filed the note away for later. Bane. She remembered Bane. She remembered how he almost nuked them all and it caused her to shrink back behind the bar a little more, taking a bottle of vodka with her. A deep swing served to try and calm her nerves, she could hear the bastard with the mask talking and his voice was enough to make her skin crawl, memories of that mess in Gotham still pretty fresh in her mind. A hot blonde with a giant hammer came barreling in, the sound enough to get her to peak over the counter top and wooo! hit that creepy guy in the green! She was totally rooting for the blonde at that moment. Disappearing behind the bar again she had another drink, Eve needed to get the hell out of there, no if and or buts about it, the sounds of what was damn near a battle going on behind her was just borderline hair raising, but at the same time she didn't want to chance running out and getting caught up in that mess. Growing up in the Bowery taught her that there was no shame in hiding away from a potentially deadly situation, sometimes staying out of things was the only way to keep unscathed. Her grey eyes peaked over the counter again, just having a look around to see if her chance at escape had finally appeared. She really wished that she hadn't done that when she saw the figure standing in the doorway. Another face she remembered from terrible things going on in Gotham, Eve had been fortunate enough to have been off at collage when that mess had gone down, her brother had not been so lucky and the things he had described were hair raising, but that wasn't Scarecrow's only claim to fame. Yes she knew that man well, and wherever he was fear was said to follow, "Hey! HEY SPIDERGUY, YEAH IN THE TOO TIGHT SANDEX! HIM!" Eve pointed out the scarecrow man, "GET HIM!" It was too late though, her vision was starting to warp, just sort of fuzzy at first, like she needed glasses, and then the images started to change. Eve found she was no longer crouched low behind the bar, but standing on the very top of Wayne towers, teetering on the edge of the rooftop, wind whipping at her chestnut hair and suddenly she was having trouble breathing. No this couldn't have been happening. She was so high up she couldn't even see the people on the street anymore, how had she even gotten her, but the cold unforgiving wind felt so real and Eve was frozen in her fear, the woman was terrified of heights and all she could think to do was stand completely still and let out a shrill scream, tears already trailing down her cheeks, she had to get down but she couldn't will herself to move, too afraid to fall, not realizing she was still standing in a mansion that was quickly being destroyed, still standing behind the bar.
