Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

Razer was continuing the service he held in Atrocitus' name. Combing entire sectors by himself, Razer searched for the telltale light that would signify a member of another Lantern Corps, and he would snuff that light out. He had done that several times, eradicating several Green Lanterns, his most present foe, being the servants of the Guardians. He had not yet faced any enemies of the other colors, as they were generally fewer in number and less widespread. Though if he encountered them, they would fall before his rage as well.
The stretch of space that Razer patrolled now was similar to ones that had been particularly fruitful in the past. An asteroid belt within a solar system boasting an inhabited planet. These attracted Green Lanterns within a sector like light to a black hole, as their sacrosanct "duty" the safeguarding of the people under the Guardian's fist, had them interact with people on a regular basis. So, he continued to explore the belt, and kept an eye out for that telltale light.
Shirking the boundaries of the asteroid belt, the Red Lantern moves towards the occupied world, not bothering to hide his presence. If his appearance scared the local population, it would simply cow them into hiding and they would ignore him. Unless there were stupid people. Nothing could be done for them, their lives would be thrown away for some foolish cause eventually.
The goal for this action, was, of course, to flush out any Lantern that might live their lives on the planet, a custom he had seen once or twice. Once word of his presence had spread, if a Lantern did exist on this planet, he or she should come out to challenge the threat to peace he poses.
Just as he would want.

He had been spending so much time on the planet, some might actually think he had settled down to live there. While it was true he had been banished from his homeworld and was no longer welcome there, that didn’t make him homeless, and it certainly didn’t make earth an appealing plan B. If anyone asked, he would just have to tell them that he was staying on earth for his mission. The same mission he hadn’t even thought about more than in passing for the last couple of weeks.
It didn’t matter, he supposed, where he set up camp, as very few thought to question him anyway. So why was he having such a hard time thinking about earth as anything other than an annoying little mudball? Probably had something to do with his shifting perspective, and the trouble he was having figuring himself out. All things he blamed on the backwater planet. So it really was good whenever he set out to do some work on other worlds- it felt like an escape, at times. At least there was always something to be done.
His sector was not as well controlled as it had been the first time around, which left him mountains of problems to settle.
He had just finished helping a small world inhabited by strange rabbit-looking people, and was making his way back to earth, likely to tell Kara and Michael about it. However, he was interrupted by his ring indicating there was the presence of a red lantern in the area. Frowning, Sinestro found he would have to wait to explain his day to his so-called friends, as work had yet to be concluded after all. Of course he couldn’t ignore a red lantern in the area- not only were they dangerous in general, but they were run by a demon who absolutely loathed. So he would hunt down the intruder and kill him. Send a message back to Atrocitus that he did not fear his rage-wielding dunderheads.
Tracking down the energy signature, Sinestro soon came upon the red lantern, though he did not recognize him immediately. It wasn’t like he knew every member of the corps, as he did with the yellow and green lanterns. He just knew they were all equally worthy of death.
“Well well,” he said, crossing his arms over his chest as he floated not far from the other being, “looks like a lost little puppy stumbled into the wrong area.”

Razer watched the green speck grow brighter and brighter as it approached him. He was definitely spotted, and from far enough away that he did not have surprise on his side. Not that it mattered. Surprise was not necessary when his opponent was nothing more than a lone Green Lantern. In truth, he preferred a fight, something he could sink his teeth into. Surprise attacks ended far too soon for him to get anything of worth from the struggle. He wanted to feel the struggle...feel the chance, however small, that his life was in danger. Death was a release, and a fight without that chance was worthless to him, even if it was worthwhile to his lord.
Razer moved in close enough that he could make out the Lantern's shape and race, not one he recognized, before flying out into space. He didn't want to fight on the occupied planet, if he could help it. He didn't want his anger spilling onto people who did not earn or deserve it. Many in the Red Lantern Corps called him weak for that desire. He viewed it as a strength, a sign that he was not wielded by rage, as so many Red Lanterns were, but wielding it.
Stopping a few light-seconds away from the planet's atmosphere, Razer turns to face the Green Lantern. The taunt that his enemy tossed at him would normally have been lost on the alien, but his ring's universal translator modified the earth animal into an equally pathetic specimen from his own planet. "You dare taunt me?!" Razer roars, before channeling his anger into a powerful beam, erupting from his power ring in torrents. He doesn't expect it to hit, it was far too telegraphed for that. But it would force the Green Lantern to either move to avoid it, or block it with a construct. In either scenario, he charges in following the beam, powering his fists with the Rage Energy to smash any protective construct apart. If he moves to the side, he should be able to see it happen and react to it. But he really hopes he can smash a construct, and the Green Lantern beneath it. "I'll show you just how foolish you are!"

It was rare to see a red lantern who could say more than a few rage-fueled words before vomiting up all manner of disgusting red messes. This one seemed slightly more intelligent than the regular rabble he faced whenever he happened upon a red lantern, but that didn’t mean Sinestro was going to take it easy on him. While he was interested to learn how he had managed to avoid having his brain completely consumed by rage, he wasn’t willing to give the foolish being a chance to rip his head off in some kind of surprise attack.
Anyway, he still wanted to fight the other- he was feeling the need for some violence after all his confusing thoughts had compounded on top of him.
When the red lantern attacked, Sinestro tossed up a lazy shield. Letting the red energy beat against it. It was more than enough to block the attack, though Sinestro anticipated such a weak blast was not meant to be the peak of the endeavor. Soon enough, it became clear the attack was exactly what he had thought it was- the lead-in to the proper assault. Sinestro saw the lantern shoot towards him, fists glowing with added power. He smiled faintly to himself, watching his shield shatter as the red lantern struck it. The pieces spun around for a moment, before seemingly locking back onto the red lantern. Every shard, from large to small, shot at Razer. It was better for Sinestro that they were in space- as it meant the shards were coming from every direction. It was more of a warning than anything- that he was not deal with a regular lantern.
He was dealing with the greatest Green Lantern of them all… formerly.
While the shards of light sought to stab the red lantern, Sinestro created a pair of thin, sharp swords to fight with. It amused him to have an opponent that actually seemed like it would pose something of a thread. How long had it been since he’d had a good fight?
“Don’t hold back on my account,” he teased, “or is this the best you can do?” He drove forward and slashed at the red lantern, the swing of his sword producing a slash of energy that shot forward even if he happened to miss with his construct weapon. Another good thing about being in space- he didn’t have to worry about his leg as he fought. With no ground to stand on, he didn’t have to concern himself with having to put weight on it.

Razer allowed himself a tight grin as his fists shattered the construct shield, and is about to continue the assault on the Lantern when the shards of the shattered construct attack him from all sides. That was not something he had expected....all previous Green Lanterns he had fought and killed lost control of their constructs immediately when it was shattered....was this a sign of greatly increased control of the construct? Or was this the alien Lantern's plan?
It is of no matter. As the shards descend upon Razer, the Red Lantern shouts a challenge, and his rage takes the form of pure, bursting energy, expanding from all sides into space. The shards, not completely solid to begin with as the result of a shattered construct, disintegrate before the burst, and he turns his eyes upon the enemy Lantern, glaring daggers at the man.
"You...are stronger than the others I have killed. Stronger or smarter...I don't know which, and I don't particularly care. I will simply have to prove myself up to the challenge."
Matching the twin swords, Razer forms a construct of a curved sword, similar in shape and design to an Earth scimitar, as well as a medium sized spiked targe. These were the weapons he had fought with in the civil war on his home planet, symbols of the rage that had consumed him. Not many Red Lanterns could muster the control to form constructs. Off the top of his head, the only ones he could name were his lord, Atrocitus, and Dex-Starr, the earthling cat that is near-constantly by his master's side. Razer doesn't care about how he can do it, though. It is simply another way his anger can affect the universe around him, and he uses that in any way he can.
"Hold back? I hope you don't expect pity from me, servant of the Guardian filth. You will know you have tasted the full extent of my power when you are a lifeless husk at my feet."
Razer catches the slash of the sword on his shield, which manages to take the impact, as well as absorb the beam. Visible cracks appear on the constructs surface, though the integrity continues to hold, for now. Razer swings with his sword, hoping to catch the Green Lantern's side, or at least force him to block. If he manages to catch both of the alien's weapons, he plans to fire a blast of rage plasma from his mouth, at point blank range.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/bluemiddle.png] Sinestro let out a mocking chuckle, watching the other as he prepared his constructs for battle. He seemed to enjoy making threats, but he supposed that was probably something all the red lanterns would do if they were capable of it- Atrocitus loved to make threats. Perhaps it helped them feel like big boys, barking out how they were going to murder and bring justice and whatever else they liked to scream about. Sinestro was not impressed- to him, rage was nothing but a lack of control. Sinestro would never consider the power of the red ring equal to his own, no matter how often he and Atrocitus dueled.
“You certainly like to talk,” he grinned, “but your master can’t kill me- do you honestly think you’re going to pull it off? I am Sinestro! You were out matched before this battle even began.” He could make his own threats. It was fun to tease the red lanterns, or indeed any target.
This was going to be fun.
When the red lantern swung his sword, Sinestro used one of his to block it, smiling as the constructs clanged against one another despite not being mad of any real kind of metal. That was the glory of constructs. It also showed him that the red lantern’s constructs were actually quite well-made. This lantern was not only able to create objects, but he could hold them well, too. Impressive for something fueled by a blinding emotion like rage. This guy was getting more and more interesting.
Though if he took too much time to enjoy it, he might actually allow himself to get distracted. In the middle of a battle, that probably wasn’t a good thing.
The sword he had blocked the attack with transformed into a hissing snack from earth, coiling around the red lantern’s arm and working its way up, growing as it went. It was soon the size of a large anaconda, though Sinestro had never actually seen one of those, and seemed eager to coil around his whole body and squeeze him to death. Or bite into his shoulder with its massive fangs. Either way. Sinestro was glad he had fought that medusa being not that long ago- it gave him a good reference for some new constructs.
“You might be able to make some pretty shapes, but let’s see if you can actually keep up with me,” he teased.

"You...fought Atrocitus?" Razer asks, shocked. He did not recognize the name Sinestro, but he definitely resolves to bring it up to his lord when he returns. Either to trumpet his success....or to explain his failure. The sheer power that Razer feels from Sinestro allows doubt to enter his thoughts, something it never had before. He felt for the first time that his victory was not completely assured.
Razer looks down in surprise as the sounds of their swords clashing disappears. What he's greeted with is a horrifying, abominable creature, some hissing demon that his ring translates as a "snake" or "anaconda." Quickly finding that the grip it has on his arm is too strong to shake, despite power he feeds into his arm from his ring, he turns back to the Green Lantern, teeth clenched in frustration. If he wasn't completely unafraid of death, he would feel a twinge of fear at this situation.
Razer allows the sword to dissipate, with his arm disabled, it was a pointless expenditure of his ring's energy. The burst he used to get rid of the shards is likewise useless, it takes time that he currently does not have to gather enough strength to destroy a full construct, as opposed to the broken remains of one. His options close one by one, and his ring finger was held within the Anaconda's grip. In any case, he didn't trust a construct against this thing, not now. Right now, he needed space, the Green Lantern had him in a bad situation. Staring back at the lantern with obvious malice, Razer does the only thing he can think to do in this situation.
"Burn!"
His eyes glow burning red as he releases the pent up force of the rage plasma, straight in the Green Lantern's face. He doesn't know if it will distract him, not really. It's perfectly possible that this Green Lantern is just so far out of his league that a mere construct could block one of the most powerful weapons in a Red Lantern's arsenal. But if he is going to die today, he's going to go down using everything he hands. And if he is indeed fated to die, by that snake construct's hands, he's going to bring that insufferable Green Lantern, Sinestro, down with him.

Perhaps he had been enjoying himself too much, and had allowed himself to be less prepared than he should have been. Or maybe he had just been too cocky. Whatever the case, he had been taken a bit by surprise when the red liquid was suddenly heading for his face, the Green Lantern raising an arm to block it. It burnt his arm, dissolving the suit in places, before he brought up a shield to keep anything else from getting to him. Pulling himself back, he laughed, his arm smoking as he lowered it again.
He grinned.
“Well well, so you have some fight to your after all. And here I thought it was going to be really easy to kill you.” He didn’t seem to mind whatever pain his arm was in, smiling at he watched the red lantern. Though it had hurt, it seemed his construct had not been challenged by the sudden distract. The snake continued to wrap around his body, squeezing him mercilessly. Of course, Sinestro was really quite mad about what had just happened- he didn’t like when ‘lesser beings’ managed to hurt him.
This guy was stronger than he looked- he was really more interesting than any of the other red lanterns. “I didn’t just fight your boss- I was the one who left him on his dead home world to rot,” he chuckled lightly, “half the reason your corp exists is because of me.” The other half being the guardians. Alright, maybe he was a fourth of the reason, the rest being the guardians. They were mostly responsible for the rage in the being’s heart, what with them letting their manhunters completely destroy his homeworld and all.
Details.
The snake stopped coiling around him as it suddenly sprang into another attack- spikes burst from all over its skin, becoming something more of a thorny vine than a real animal. Sinestro imagined not every thorn would manage to break through the natural glowy protection of the red lantern’s ring, but if he was lucky it would at least do some damage.
“What is your name, red lantern? It’s always nice to know who I’m killing, especially when they’re not completely worthless on the battlefield.” Actually, it was likely he wouldn’t kill the guy, but hey, he didn’t know that.

Razer's eyes widened. The rage plasma...the thing that every Red Lantern had in common, the acid napalm that burned everything in it's path...was stopped by the Green Lantern's arm. Not just a construct, though any lantern strong enough to stop the blast with a construct was a worthy foe indeed. But his physical arm, if aided by a layer of the green will energy. That, for all it was worth, was his last gambit. He couldn't think of anything else that could allow him to escape, his ring arm was bound, the oxygen that was kept in his ring's boundary was being suffocated out of him, and he was completely at this Green Lantern's mercy. And with the suffocation, pretty soon he wouldn't be able to think at all.
The only thing he could think of was a burst, one similar to the one he had used to dispell the shards, but much more powerful. He needed time to gather enough energy from his ring...his rage was more than up to the task, but he needed to suffuse the power throughout the barrier he used to keep space from affecting his body. And time was not something he had ample amounts of. Gathering the energy, he tries to distract Sinestro. Forming a construct within the snake, Razer produces several thrown projectiles, similar to Earth shuriken, but rounder, and sharper. Spinning them around, Razer tries to cut through the snake.
Struggling more and more as the air was forced from his lungs, Razer almost misses Sinestro's boasting. He not only fought Atrocitus and lived to tell the tale, but he had defeated him? He had imprisoned him?
No, this has to be some kind of trick, he has to be lying...Any being strong enough to defeat Lord Atrocitus would be able to kill him without effort...unless...
Unless the Green Lantern was simply playing with him. A fact that became more and more obvious as he felt the weight of the alien's smile. At that moment, Razer screams in pain. As the majority of his energy was diverted to building up a suitably powerful burst, instead of protecting his body, the spikes that grew on the snake had a easy time penetrating the barrier that remained over his skin. Nearly every single thorn stabbed into Razer.
As he became accustomed to the pain, Razer held up his head in defiance. Somehow gathering enough air to speak, Razer coughs, trying to lessen the hold over his lungs. He felt a few ribs crack under the pressure.
"I...am...Razer...." He manages to eke out, obviously laboring underneath the incredible stress. He knew it was now or never, he would soon lapse into unconsciousness, and if the Lantern's words were accurate, death, if he didn't change the circumstances now. And while death would be a welcome release from this everpresent agony, he wouldn't deserve it if he didn't give every bit of himself before he met that end.
"And...I'm not...dead yet..." He gasps, before releasing the energy. Not the most evocative words he'd spoken, but they were all he had. At this point, he counted his blessings that a lung wasn't punctured by a cracked rib.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/bluemiddle.png] Sinestro might have made some snarky comment about how Razer needed to remember the day he was almost killed by the greatest green lantern around, but the guy had to go and spoil the moment by unleashing what remained of his power in a massive burst of energy. Even someone as powerful and well-experienced as Sinestro had a difficult time dealing with raw bursts of power, and this kid seemed very capable of pulling together quite a bit of energy. It seemed he had more rage in his heart then Sinestro had given him credit for, being able to pull off such a mighty attack. Apparently being able to talk like a normal being didn’t make him less powerful as a red lantern.
Something to remember in the future.
Sinestro had no choice but to pull back a bit, lest he be caught too close to the fire, so to speak. He wasn’t about to let more of his beautiful skin get burned by this guy- he’d already had to deal with more than enough burns for one life time. Maybe he hated them so much because he associated with them with the red lanterns.
Or maybe it was because they hurt so damn much.
Moving back from the blast, putting up a shield to keep himself from taking to much damage as he was pushed, he allowed his constructs to be eaten by the red power. They dissipated from around Razer, allowing him the means to get some air. Something he was sure the red lantern had been missing up until that moment. He had been planning on letting the guy go anyway, but it still annoyed him that he had sought to free himself rather than wait like a good defeated dunderhead. Some guys just didn’t know when to quite. Like he was one to think that.
In any case, he smiled still, regaining himself after getting knocked about by the force of the blast. He had to say, he rather liked this Razer fellow, if only because he found his spunk somewhat interesting.
“If you hadn’t been so foolish as to allow rage into your heart, you might have made a good Green Lantern,” he observed with a cruel chuckle, “you’re about as stubborn as one ought to be.” He wasn’t lying- too bad he’d already made the wrong choice with his ring color.
Taking the red ring off meant death without a blue lantern around.
Though he imagined he could have swooped in and attacked while the other was trying to regain himself, he didn’t move from his position, though his ring was up and pointed just in case it was going to be needed. In reality, he was just waiting to see if the red lantern passed out from his wounds. He hadn’t intended so many of the thorns he had created to pass into his skin as it seemed they had. The guy was looking a little like what humans called ‘swiss cheese’.
“Well, now you’ve freed yourself- got a brilliant plan of attack?” With how much power he’d already used, and how many injuries he’d taken, Sinestro was thinking no.

Razer took a deep breath of air as his burst forced his foe away from him, dispelling his infernal construct that had almost squeezed the life from him. He was starting to miss the taste of air, started to wonder if he would ever get to breathe again. He wouldn't have been surprised if his final burst failed, after all, his constructs and rage plasma had both fallen before Sinestro's power. He was gladdened that something at least had gone his way on this thrice-cursed mission.
His ring warned him that only 3 percent of his power remained. Enough to fly several light minutes, maintain the universal translator, and keep the void of space away from him, but little else. He could fight no longer. He could only attempt to flee, and if Sinestro sought to stop him, to put an end to his sorry little resistance, there was nothing he could do.
The indignity of it grated against Razer. Bested by his foe, only to limp away in defeat...it would almost be better to have Sinestro put an end to it all. However, he managed to keep his rage cool. A fire burned hot, yes, but coals would burn hotter, and it would take much longer before it burned itself out. Keeping some measure of control of the power of blinding hate was not easy, but it was what he prided himself on.
But even more dangerous to him was his wounds, which still kept his mind in a fuzzy state as it tried to comprehend just how much pain he was in. If he was standing on solid ground, he would have long since collapsed. As it was, his perforated arm hung limply, and he was hunched over, exhausted and beaten. Still, despite it all, he kept a watch on the Green Lantern. His mental state was made obvious as Sinestro commented on him. He almost felt gratified.
"Thanks...but I think I'll pass. Will...will could not keep her safe...no matter how vigilant I was...no matter what steps I went through...I lost her. Rage was all that was left to me, and I reached for it." he muttered, soft enough that from the distance that Sinestro stood, he wouldn't have been able to hear without the assistance of his ring.
Razer would never have revealed that much of himself, not without having his mind beaten to a sorry pulp. Still in a hunched over position to try and prevent blood from seeping from his wounds too quickly, the Red Lantern flies away, towards another planet in the solar system, a cold rock on the far side of the asteroid belt. That was where his Red Power Battery was kept. If he reached it, he could power himself back up, and limp back to Ysmault...reconvene with the Red Lantern Corps...and explain his failure to Atrocitus.
How he relished the thought of that.
At this point, he honestly could care less what the Green Lantern did. No matter how much Razer hated Sinestro, hated what he stood for, and hated what he had reduced himself to, his rage was impotent, as impotent as it was before the Red Power Ring had come to him. If he sought to finish him off, in Razer's mind, he had earned it. He was beaten. He couldn't fight any more.

No doubt he was still very angry, but a ring had its limits, and Sinestro could see that his opponent was out of power. If he had another attack in him, it would be something of a miracle. After using so much energy in his bursts of rage, it was hardly a wonder.
Proof a Green Lantern’s ring was superior- he could harness his energy for so much more than a few bursts of power. He knew how to conserve energy and distribute it evenly in his many constructs. Hell, he could go weeks in battle and probably never have to charge his ring. Still, this boy had promise. It really was a shame he was being wasted in the red lanterns- did they even train their new recruits? Doubtful. They probably just flew off into their sectors and started burning faces off, little understanding the true power of what was on their finger. But this kid was different. He could speak, and comprehend. Perhaps he wasn’t a complete loss just yet.
As he spoke, Sinestro tilted his head. It seemed he had lost someone he loved- a woman. Of course. No red lantern could exist without some tragic back story. But this one was a familiar tale. After all, he had lost his own love back in the day- she had died in his arms. Seemed as though they had taken very different roads. Had the red lanterns been established back then, would he have been qualified to have one of the rings? It was a strange thing to consider, since his nemesis ruled the group and all. Then again, maybe he had gotten the information wrong. He had only been able to make out a portion of what the guy had said. Most of it had been too quiet for even his large ears to pick up on.
Old Sinestro might have just ended him right there and then, but his new outlook, however under developed at that moment, was suggesting an alternate route- that he try and see what this boy was worth. Perhaps see if he could be swayed.
It would tickle him to steal a powerful member from Atrocitus’ army.
But he knew he couldn’t just ask the boy to turn from the demon. No- he would have to work his way into a position of power. He would have to make sure he held the cards. For that.. maybe he would need to follow the red lantern.
Sinestro took off after the other, keeping himself back so that he might not be noticed. With how beaten the other was, it was possible he wouldn’t have noticed Sinestro flying along beside him, let alone some distance back.

Razer focused on the rage and indignity he felt at the result of his bout with the incredibly powerful Green Lantern to keep his greatly weakened power ring speeding him through the solar system. As a side bonus, thinking about that kept him from thinking about the incredible pain in the wounds left by Sinestro's constructs, acidic blood dripping from his wounds and only increasing the rate at which his ring's power was being depleted. It was all he could do to keep flying, focusing on his anger and anticipating his revenge.
So tight was his focus that he completely didn't notice the Green Lantern following him. And even if he did, he simply wouldn't care. If he dies, he dies. If he lives, he lives, and bides his time until he can take revenge. It was all so beautifully simple to the wounded Red Lantern. It was made even more simple with the thought that he had no choice in the matter, all the cards lay in Sinestro's hands. It was his choice which ones he would play.
The distance between planets was vast, but to a Lantern, it was no more than a casual stroll. Or, in Razer's case, an agonizing limp. But before long, he made it to the planet on the far edge of the solar system, a dark, cold rock that only narrowly qualified for the title. Perhaps at one point, it had been an asteroid that had fallen out of line, and collected others to it with it's gravitational force. Or perhaps it was a moon to one of the local gas giants, that had left orbit. No matter which was the case, only one thing on it mattered to him.
His Red Power Battery.
He had left it out in the open. No sane being would steal it, and risk a Red Lantern's wrath. And he had expected to be able to defeat any Lantern that would threaten it, no other had proved nearly so worthy a foe as Sinestro had. He realized now that he would be more cautious, he would hide the source of his power, because now he knew that it was indeed possible for him to taste defeat. He would have to plan for that eventuality.
Landing in front of the glowing red lantern, Razer collapses to the ground as he ceases to fly. That had not been a wise decision with his wounds, and soon levitated up into the air. Taking hold of the lantern's handle, Razer spits a bit of blood onto the ground, before reciting the Red Lantern Oath. He would need a full ring if he was to make the long trip back to Ysmault.
"With blood and rage of..." Razer was interrupted by a cough, but forced himself to continue, "of crimson red...ripped from a corpse so...so freshly dead..." Red light began to swirl from the Lantern's core, but the ring would not receive a substantial charge until the full oath was recited, a task that was proving more troublesome than he expected with his wounds.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/bluemiddle.png] Sinestro trailed behind the red lantern with no great concern about being spotted. It seemed Razer was indeed too busy with his own thoughts to even pass a glance behind him. Perhaps he didn’t care one way or another, or maybe he just felt he needed to get where ever the hell he was going. Either way, Sinestro was suddenly of no importance to him. For now, he would let that slide, though he usually liked being the center of attention. This time, it just happened to work out better for him that he not be in the middle of the light.
As they flew across the solar system, Sinestro had to wonder where the guy was going. With so much of his power drained, he imagined the other needed to get his ring recharged. But had he really kept it so far from him? Red lanterns- they didn’t even know how to create pocket dimensions to keep their lanterns next to them at all times. There was a lesson to be learned there, he was sure. Actually, he was pretty sure there were a lot of things he could be teaching to the red lantern.
It didn’t seem like Atrocitus was that big on passing on his great secrets. Perhaps he would claim it was their fate to die without training.
Whatever. The whole fate thing was up in the air with him anyway. After seeing the futures of so many beings through Dr. Fate’s power, he could no longer say without a shadow of a doubt that fate wasn’t real. But that didn’t mean he was ready to believe in the same nonsense as his arch rival, either.
Call him stubborn.
They finally arrived on some mud-ball of a planet, and Sinestro was able to confirm that the red lantern was looking for his lantern, which he had pretty much left sitting out in the open for anyone to come along and steal if they do desired. Sinestro would have to make sure he realized just how stupid that was. After the boy had started his oath, the Green Lantern sprang into action, zooming down towards the other. He slammed down just behind the lantern, standing in front of Razer with a cruel grin on his face. Taking hold of the lantern, he pulled it away from the red lantern, using his ring to send Razer back on an energy blast so he couldn’t make a reach for it. Wild red energy went everywhere, but if it was bothering Sinestro, he wasn’t letting it be seen.
“How foolish to lead me right to your power source,” he teased, “I could have destroyed it without a second thought. Instead, I think I’m going to hold onto it. You know, until I think you’ve earned the right to have it back.” He smiled and watched the other, opening a pocket dimension and depositing the battery inside just for show.
“Oh, I’m sorry- did I cut in before giving you enough time to fully charge your ring? I don’t think you have enough power to get back to your home world. Whatever will you do now?”

"Together with our hellish...what!" Razer calls, as the green energy from Sinestro's ring engulfs his power source, drawing it away from him. He hadn't noticed Sinestro's presence until it was too late. What was this Green Lantern doing, anyway? He could have killed him back in space, but he had chosen not to. Why was he proving such a pest at this point? There was nothing to gain from it, or so Razer thought.
Razer clutches futilely at the power battery, but the power of Sinestro's blast forces him away, knocking him into the frozen dirt of the cold, dead rock of a planet. Picking himself up, Razer snarls at Sinestro, anger causing his costume to flare up. If he'd had power to spare, he'd be back attacking the Green Lantern now, despite his extensive wounds.
"...So, you lack the dignity to kill me, and instead condemn me to die in space, once the power of my ring runs dry. The Green Lanterns truly are despicable creatures..."
That was of course an overreaction. The ring still had a 3% charge, which was more than enough to wait on the rock until his wounds healed, and travel to the inhabited planet to await rescue. Whether that rescue would ever come...or if it did, he wouldn't be killed for his failure...that, he did not know.
“How foolish to lead me right to your power source. I could have destroyed it without a second thought. Instead, I think I’m going to hold onto it. You know, until I think you’ve earned the right to have it back.”
Razer listens to Sinestro explain himself, and his eyes widen in surprise. "You could have destroyed me without a second thought. To do it to my power source would be the same result."
As the Green Lantern deposits Razer's power battery in a green hole in space, that closes behind him, Razer speaks up once more, less obviously filled with indignation and rage. If he'd had that power, he could have avoided this entire mess. "How...how did you do that? Where did my lantern go? What have you done with it?!" He had an idea, mostly founded on Sinestro's words. The fact that he could 'earn it back.' It was obviously retrievable, but if it could be done by anyone other than Sinestro himself, it would probably have to be another Green Power Ring.
"And...what is it you intend for me to do? You obviously have some plan for me, or else you wouldn't hold my power battery as a hostage. Surely you know what becomes of Red Lanterns when their rings are removed, or they run dry..."
