Boots walked down the pavement of the French streets, the Canary currently was in Paris. She had came to the European country for one thing and one thing alone. Shopping. She could have stayed in the states. She could have gone to the large mall located in Gotham, New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, anywhere. So what if Dinah had been in Italy just the day before on business. She was already next door so why shouldn't she enjoy the fine taste of the French?

But the blonde woman wasn't alone in her ventures. She had managed to get in touch with friend and Justice League member, Zatanna Zatara, and promptly informed her on why she should be accompanying Dinah rather than staying in the lame place that was America. She cared nothing of the politics nor the hypocrisy that filled the seats in any type of political form. It was all fixed, it was full of people who didn't have the every day person's interests at heart but rather their own. Granted it was like that in most parts of the world however she believed the United States to farther gone than anyone would like to admit.

So it was up to those who held supernatural ability, even some just mere human, to help save the world. It had filled with villains, more and more powerful than the next. The merging of the worlds caught Dinah off guard, very off guard. She wasn't ignorant to believe they were the only ones in the galaxy, in existence, but she wasn't prepared for a whole nother world just like hers be full of others who fought their own wars. They didn't even have a Gotham or Metropolis in their world. She and others who came from that grimy city never existed in the other world. But that was fine, her world needed her and those she fought alongside.

She pulled the black Iphone from her purse and looked at the text message from Zatanna to which she replied Cafe Rouge, a cafe that served tea and coffee. Dinah walked inside and ordered her drink as well as a few petit fours for herself and her raven haired friend to share once she arrived. The plan for the day was to have drinks, nibble here and there and then off to shop until they dropped. Dinah took her place at one of the tables outside. The fresh air was something she loved about this place, the people all moving around with their lives. The fresh bread and cheese was to die for. Dinah lifted the glass cup to her lips and took a gulp of her coffee. She smiled as the vanilla flavor rolled against her palette. An exhale given as she sank into her seat, the sun shining down from above the canopy of the building.

The Mistress of Magic

There was no extended delays at the airport, no 14 hour flights or sitting down sandwiched in between two passengers with garlic breath. Magic allowed her that freedom and luxury, and sometimes, she liked to indulge in that luxury. There were rules about personal gain to be taken into account how, 'all magic came with a price,' but sometimes a girl had to splurge. For Zee, that also extended into her spell bank as well as her credit cards (arguably, containing their own magic as well).

A shopping date with Dinah was just the ticket to let her bend her own rules, and dammit, if zipping off to Paris to buy herself clothes to wear for her two jobs was not a justified reason to abuse magic then she didn't know what was. There was just so much going on in the world, everywhere and anywhere, turning all about them that it was a welcome distraction to get invited off to Paris. Zatanna made a note to see if she could get herself booked at the Moulin Rouge sometime. Paris was a city she had been missing.

Cafe Rouge.. Cafe Rouge.. Aha! There she is!

Zatanna was an entertainer, and thus she always demanded a grand entrance. In Dinah's coffee mug, something seemed to froth and swirl about, spiraling the dark coffee against the trails of cream before evening out completely. "Drink me!" the mug seemed to cry out as Dinah took its edge to her lips. Zatanna was rather fond of Through the Looking Glass, and Dinah seemed to match the image of Alice rather well in her opinion.

Zatanna's image appeared in the coffee, grinning rather, well, mad as a hatter. "Now you see me.."She gave Dinah a cute wave and disappeared just as quickly in the pop of a bubble. "Now you don't!"

The magician quickly reappeared in the seat in front of her friend, sitting cross legged as though the entire scene was as casual as ever. "Bonjour, madamemoiselle."
