Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

Your ancestors called it magic, but you call it science. I come from a land where they are one and the same - - The God of Thunder[style=margin-top: -10px; margin-right: -10px; border: #fff 1px dashed; padding: 5px; overflow: auto; width: 360px; height: 200px; font-family: trebuchet ms; font-size: 9px; line-height: 15px; background-color: #0F0F0F; color:#8E8A8E;filter: alpha(opacity=50); -moz-opacity: .50; opacity:.50;]
Thor could easily travel around as Donald Blake. With the Lady Liberty's teachings, he could more readily blend inside of Midgardian culture (at least, he believed so), but Gotham was not a city bound to their universe. No, Gotham belonged to the tenth realm, as Thor had surmised for himself, although it was more akin to an alternate Midgard, one where he nor his fellow Avengers seemed to exist. It actually made him wonder if there was another Asgard in their World Tree, an Asgard inhabited by different gods and warriors, for it seemed as though in this other realm, as much as there were differences, many similarities remained.
Gotham City was not like Manhattan. It was darker, more troubled than New York was, as though this city had been crumbling for a long time before someone had tried to salvage it from becoming ruins. Darkness seemed to live in the very air itself, spreading its doleful melody across the stonework and concrete, settling in the tiniest cracks and blooming outward, reminding its inhabitants that the shadows over the city could sprout again, and crush them all.
He could only muse on the architecture for so long before a piercing scream broke his thoughts. Thor immediately honed in on the noise, taking the anomaly for a woman in dire trouble, and if the skyscrapers and streetsides were any reflecting upon the city's heroes, then the thunder god's assistance was needed, and quickly. Although Gotham was not part of his realm's Midgard, it was still Midgard, and any realm, especially any Earth, he would protect along with its people (no matter how loud they were).
Some of Danii's humanization training must have stuck for he was travelling on foot a good distance around the corner before he realized he could have flown this way instead. How foolish of me! he scolded himself mentally, before finding a man dressed in a black mask thrown at his feet by a much smaller blonde woman (for surely the other men dressed in black masks had not thrown their own similarly garbed companion). Thor did not hesitate to step over the man and grab his two companions and knock their heads into each other.
"Pardon the intrusion, but I heard a maiden scream in this direction. You seemed very capable of handling yourself in combat, so it cannot have been you I presume. Has a harpy passed this way? Foul beasts.."

Black Canary's gloved fist connected with the thug's jaw as he stumbled back, her right boot knocked the wind from the other man's gut only for her to spin and kick the first thug's jaw. The man flew to the ground as the blonde ducked to miss the crowbar that was swung from the near airless man, her hands connected with the iron while she brought her knee up to his ribs followed by a yank of the weapon. She grunted as she swung the blunt side and connected with his jaw to send him to the ground as well. Her chest heaved up and down though she was barely winded. They wore clown masks which indicated they worked for Gotham's clown prince. Two down, five more to go.
She twirled the crowbar with the flick of her wrist, her eyes danced behind the little black mask. Her leather jacket she had removed despite the cold. Dinah was in constant motion which caused her body temperature to be elevated. She was native to these parts and the winters had been colder. Her plump lips were moved in a smug smirk while she extended her hand and had her fingers move back and forth in a challenge of next. She was ready. Black Canary was trained in all types of martial arts and she was trained well. She was known as a world class fighter, her fighting prowess was unmatched by the men who stood before her.
One raised the morale of their little group as he yelled things such as Dinah was going down, she was going to die. Dinah scoffed and laughed ever so slightly, her defensive posture now relaxed as she stood straight up with a hand upon her hips.
"Are you gonna keep starin' at me or can I kick your ass now? Girl has things to do and that does not include letting you stare at my tits all night," She said sarcastically. Dinah wasn't quite a shy woman but when she was Black Canary the woman was very much the bombshell she appeared to be. She had guys like Superman drooling at her fishnets.
They charged forward and Canary raised the crowbar to meet one of their weapons, her boot connected with his gut as she kicked him backwards. She jumped her body to the right to avoid a punch. Her hands gained momentum as she flung her body backwards in a backhand spring, her boot hit the jaw of one of the clowns. As she landed she was grabbed from behind, her teeth clenched, her jaw tightened as the leader approached and slugged her in the cheek.
'Whatcha got special goin' on for me, blondie?' He asked as she bowed her head lowly, she opened her mouth to flex her jaw after the hit.
"You asked," Black Canary replied with the warning. She sucked in air, her lungs expanded while she raised her head.
A piercing scream emitted from her vocal cords which sent the leader flying backwards. Waves of unseen energy hit the man and the objects around it as cars flipped, benches torn from their area of sitting. She stopped not too long after she started, Dinah had always feared the metagene would kill a person. Her scream subsequently caused her to be released to that her captor would be able to cover his ears. She turned and gave him a swift punch that had him fall to the ground next to the alley. A man stepped from the shadows, the heads of the last to able men slammed together and fell to the ground. Dinah stood there frozen in spot. Dear god of holy biceps. She blinked, tiers parted as she looked upon the blond man though her blue eyes went down to his arms and back to his face. How she looked, stunned, evaded her thoughts. If he wasn't the most gorgeous man she had ever seen! Ollie, who?
"Pardon the intrusion, but I heard a maiden scream in this direction. You seemed very capable of handling yourself in combat, so it cannot have been you I presume. Has a harpy passed this way? Foul beasts.." Behind her mask her brows knitted and finally her lips closed as she gave him a look of confusion. What even?
"Harpy?" Her eyes widened. She had battled a woman named Harpy with Green Lantern, Hal Jordan, years before. Was she back? "You've seen her? If she decides to show up I'll give her what she got last time," She said with her fists clenched. Dinah's head snapped up to the man as she flipped her blonde hair over her shoulder, she flashed a wide smile and extended her hand.
"Black Canary, the pleasure is all mine," She batted her lashes. The woman was bold, bold Dinah bold.

He tossed a glance at the masked clown men and frowned slightly at their costumes. They were ridiculous garbs, even for the lower scum of this city, but somthing about the jesters' visage painted familiar. Thor had been briefed about a similar man.
He looked back at Dinah and returned the smile, for as much as his mind was turning he could not keep himself from celebrating victory. He took Dinah's hand and elegantly bowed his head to lightly kiss the back of her glove. "They call me Donald Blake." The name was foreign on his tongue, but Thor had been told to use it out of uniform (although to call his regular battle armor a uniform was from its true title.) To Thor his chainmail served as his second skin. He was a warrior. He could sleep in it if he had wanted to, dream of the songs of battle it had survived over the years, the countless victories, all hammered in with each scale of the armor. Thor peered up at Dinah, memorizing her own battle attire. It was lightweight, largely bare for movement, unassuming to distract her enemies in combat, tailored to her every asset. Some could frown at such a display, but Thor did not. Each fighter had their own style, their own signature acesssory in combat. Thor's armor had been built in the image of his father's, a symbol of Odin's might. His very silhouette would strike fear of power as an Odinson, God of Thunder. Much of his attention spent on her frame had been a reflex of his training, not a leering eye, much like sizing up an opponent, and all of this derived in just the breath of a moment. "I am sorry," he apologizes humbly, "This was your victory. I did not mean to intrude. I just heard the most unearthly scream- so you mean to say there was no harpy in this alley? I do not understand." he narrows his eyes and makes an expression darting between confusion and mild amusement. One of the clowns began to stir to his feet. Thor seized the man by the shoulders and headbutted him. He then seemed to be completely upset with himself, and laughed. "Apologies, again! I can't seem to stop!"ϟ Tag: DINAH! <3 | Words: 354 | Lyrics: Thor Quote | Outfit: I vote Mjolnir also doubles as a keychain.. DINAH LANCE BLACK CANARY
Dinah was many things. One of the greatest fighters around, yes; owner of one badass motorcycle, of course; The Black Canary, yes indeed. She was also female. Her and Oliver had been over for a while so she had no qualms in staring a bit longer than necessary. But she felt he should be use to this if he walked around outside. Ever. Black Canary watched with wide, curious eyes with tiers parted to match when he took her hand. What? She watched somewhat baffled as he kissed the back of her hand but the romantic in her was running around with her head cut off. Maybe she was boy crazy or maybe it's been a while since she saw an attractive man, whatevs.
"You can call me Black Canary," she replied as her hands came to perch upon her hips in that slight heroic stance. She actually regretted having to introduce herself as her alter-ego since the whole secret identity conflict. The city of Gotham, while some were proud of the people who step up to save them all, had some who wanted them all to be rounded up and charged for crimes. Damage to property kinda came with the gig, they were fighting for lives. Why didn't they understand things get destroyed in the process but not maliciously? People these days.
"What are you doing out so late? This area in particular." She asked then looked back at one of the thugs who was slowly coming to with a series of pained groans.
"No, it's fine, thank you," She said with a wave of her hand. "I appreciate the concern and back up." She said as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear before her eyes lit up. "OH!" She exclaimed as she moved a hand behind her head, her left hand still on her hip. "Harper, I thought you meant... Hahaha... That was me," She revealed almost embarrassed she had forgotten her previous actions in the small fight.
"You're not from around here I take it." She wasn't use to people not knowing the Canary Cry belonged to Black Canary. She was the blonde bombshell in fishnets and a leotard. Dinah had no shame, rather her mother didn't since Dinah wore a variation of her mother's original outfit.
A thug had regained consciousness in the time of their small chatter. He had sprung to life and pushed himself quickly from the ground and in Donald's direction. Black Canary stepped out towards them on instinct as she was one of the many guardians of the people in this city. But she stopped as quickly as she started when Donald managed to render the thug unconscious once more. And with incredible ease.
"You don't have shining armor anywhere, do you? She asked with her stomach in a flutter. No Dinah hadnt caught on to the true identity of Donald Blake, she thought nothing of it. She just loved a man who could rescue a damsel in distress... Though she was hardly ever that girl.

Amusing even. The Black Canary woman expressed herself confidently and Thor could not help but be reminded of the other Avengers in his company. There was that same pride they all shared as protectors of the realm. The image of victory.
"I was- sight seeing." Thor answered, careful to not weigh down his sentence with his regular formal language. He was already drawing enough curious inquiry about his behavior as it is. "I must have taken a wrong turn. Or a right one." he added playfully.
"It was you!?" Thor was genuinely surprised. "For such a sound to come from such a sm-" he didn't finish that thought, and instead laughed with an approving nod. "I am impressed." Tony often cautioned him to lower his own voice, but Thor could never weaponize his shouts like that. Black Canary was an appropriately chosen name.
"You're not from around here I take it." At this Thor couldn't help the strike of amusement from reaching his features.
"No," he laughed lightly, "No, not at all! I've journeyed a long way to this city you could say." That would not be the last half-truth that night.
"You don't have shining armor anywhere, do you?"
There was that brief second where he would have thought she was serious, but he answered jokingly, "I left it at the inn unfortunately," though he wasn't exactly kidding about that fact.
