Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

Soranik felt surreal, her father was at his weakest that she's ever heard of him being in, not a week ago they had some kind of break through that felt almost mystical concerning their relationship. What was happening to Sinestro? How did he go from one of the most terrible forces in the universe to the person he is now? All those years did he really do it all in the name of the greater good? He had simply been going about things the wrong way all this time and deep down he's really a great man? It was mind boggling.
When Raven scolds herself for her actions, Soranik places a hand on Raven's shoulder and stares into her eyes. Soranik's eyes are light purple, she has a soft stare that is both firm and sweet.
"Raven you did fine."
The words were brief, but that did not diminish their value or power. She was proud of Raven, and while their friendship was young, Soranik still regarded Raven as an amazing person. Some one who probably doesn't receive enough credit for the amazing deeds she performs. When she looks back at her father, she speaks in Korugaran again.
"Father your life hangs on by a thread, you are critical condition, if this were Korugar, I would say fine, but it is not and this medical equipment is ... not acceptable. I do not want Raven to suffer any more than you, but I will not stand idly by while your life hangs in the balance."
Being this powerless must be maddening for Sinestro, but it was maddening for Soranik too, she had gotten so used to the ring and it's benefits, she had only been a Green lantern for half a decade, but she had done so much in that time frame. To think she originally almost quit the corps after the ring had chosen her. After she finishes saying her peace to sinestro, she looks upon Raven again.
"My Lantern is in my home in mountains, you saw before? Remember? Can you take me there?"
It was a long way but once there, Soranik was confident that despite Raven's magically imbued physiology, she could administer some form of aid to help her and the return trip would take minutes at the speed of green lantern flight.

[/size] [style=width:430; height:490; background-color:070014; padding:5; text-align:justify; font-family:verdana; font-size:11px; color:78747F; overflow:auto] There was a lot that Raven knew she could have done; it happened in some fights, she would look back and notice all that she could have done to save her friends. But a lot of the time she kept a strong lid on her powers, after all, her soul-self was also a darker side to her and could contain all her rage and aggression. The teenager mentally shivered when she thought about that child who had been able to absorb knowledge and had even created a Black Hole inside his school. When he had touched her, he realised that he could learn of the evils she knew and had even claimed he could be like a god. Her soul-self had taken care of the situation and put the poor child in intensive care. Raven wished that could have ended differently, she had come close to that.
On the whole there would always be things that one would want to have happened differently. “You have nothing to be sorry about- you shouldn’t have been involved at all. It was my fight, and you got dragged into it,” Raven knew about others getting dragged into fights, the Titans always supported each other when one of them was in trouble, helped fight with their fellow team mate, with their family. Raven had reformed the Titans to face her father, although admittedly that had been a problem that faced the earth and universe. “anyway, if I hadn’t blown myself up, things would have been fine.” "It became my fight when she attacked my friends," [/b] Raven said softly, that was one thing that the Titans had taught her. "Besides, I could have contained her. Then we wouldn't be here and she wouldn't have escaped. What if she's taking her-"[/b] She was interrupted when Soranik placed a hand on her shoulder and Raven fell silent. "Raven you did fine." Raven looked down for a second, not meeting the doctor's eyes, before looking up, the teenager's indigo eyes meeting the light purple eyes of Soranik. Raven hadn't noticed before that they had a similar eye colour. But the gap in her worry had been useful enough, it calmed Raven down and the Titan remembered that her soul-self was not a safe place for her enemies. It was not something that she relished using unless absolutely necessary. The nagging thought in the back of her head that she should have used it was not one she should listen to. Raven could sense the pride in the older woman and gave a nod. "Thanks, Soranik. And I should probably thank you for saving my life on the beach as well. I owe you one."[/b] Raven said, offering a smile. The alien attacker had been about to kill Raven when Soranik had intervened... and Soranik had gotten them out of the underwater base. Of course, Sinestro had done his bit, blowing the alien up, fighting formidably when he already had the flu. "I owe you one as well, Sinestro."[/b] Raven said, they had both saved her and for that she was grateful. If only you had done more. The thought echoed in the back of her head, but she ignored it. Then it was back to them talking in their native language and Raven wondered what it was, it was obvious that they only spoke English for her convenience. And she didn't need to understand everything that they spoke about. "If it's easier for you, I can leave so you don't need to speak English. Or I could try learn your language. I can absorb knowledge and that includes language."[/b] Raven said, leaving that open, they could say no to one or both of those options. The teenager just didn't want them to have to work to communicate with her. At that point a fearful emotion crept into the picture and Raven turned to watch as the door opened to reveal a nurse, carrying a glass of water for Sinestro. “Thank you,” Sinestro thanked the nurse, in English and the teenager knew that easy or not they would need the language until they got their rings back online and translating. Or charged or whatever it was called to when the rings were working. Sinestro's hand was shaking, he needed two hands to support the glass. Briefly Raven debated whether or not to help, she could help support the glass telekinetically, but Soranik spoke before the Titan could decide. "My Lantern is in my home in mountains, you saw before? Remember? Can you take me there?" Raven nodded, she remembered the place. It was far, though and not something Raven could manage in one go. "I should be able to get their in under two minutes."[/b] Raven said, pushing her own tiredness to the side and standing up. Although she doubted she would have the energy for a return journey. Raven never usually tried to teleport as far as possible, but her previous journey to Soranik's home had taken about 80 stops and starts when teleporting as far as possible. The teenager took in a few deep and calm breathes, centering herself. It would be needed for such a long journey to be taken in a short amount of time. Closing her eyes, Raven made sure that all emotions were calmed and she moved over to Soranik. "You may want to keep a physical contact to me, I can't travel the whole journey in one and if we stop above the sea or earth then it might cause a little more delay."[/b] Raven commented. When journeying over sea she generally remained several metres above the water level simply to avoid getting soaked. Raven paused, wondering how easy the young teleport she had met would find the journey. Mal didn't seem to have any limits but Raven had no idea how she would contact the girl. But it was a journey that Raven could make. So as soon as Soranik was ready, the teenager rapidly teleported, slipping into her soul-self, back into the world and repeating. Of course, she also made sure that Soranik was with her. When they eventually arrived Raven felt lightheaded and slightly stumbled before leaning against the wall and waiting for the lightheadedness to settle back down. Hopefully Soranik would be able to get them back and Raven decided that sitting might be a better idea and sank to the floor, leaning her back against the wall. [/blockquote][/div] [/style]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] The Green Lantern almost smiled when Raven said she could leave. She probably thought they were speaking because it was easier, not that they were discussing her and didn’t want her to know about it. Poor thing- he didn’t mean to make her feel like she needed to leave, it just would have been more awkward for him to discuss being concerned for her too publicly. Emotions weren’t his thing, after all.
Sinestro watched his daughter, his expression a mix of extreme fatigue and irritation. Not at her, but rather, at the thought that she was right about his condition. Being awake and alert didn’t mean he was out of the woods, and he could easily slip back into a coma or something inside of him could protest and cause more trouble again, sending him back to those torturers for more surgery. Hopefully the trip wouldn’t be a long one, or Soranik might not be around to ensure they didn’t do something stupid. She would have to trust in Raven, and he would too- his life did have a small bit of dependency on it.
But he was concerned. Raven was tired, and more than just needing rest, Sinestro knew she could have difficulty dealing with her powers when things got too difficult. He didn’t want her hurting herself, or hurting Soranik.
It was too bad he had such a stubborn daughter- no amount of protesting would change her mind at that point, even if he didn’t somewhat agree with her. His worries about their safety would just have to linger until they returned. Luckily, it didn’t sound like it was going to be a long trip.
“Don’t…. rush,” he said faintly, setting the glass as carefully as possible back on the side table by his cot. It was still mostly full, but he supposed that was to be expected- just a little sip had completely worn him out, leaving him wanting to gasp for air. However, he did his best to hid how he was feeling, at least until Soranik and Raven left. He wouldn’t be Sinestro if he was completely honest about everything, perhaps. Not that he thought he could hide everything. He had probably lost a lot of color to his face, and likely looked very fatigued. His breathing couldn’t be completely covered, either. But, if anything, it was more reason for them to go, not stay.
He nodded a weak goodbye before Raven poofed off to get Soranik home, silently wondering how Raven knew where she lived, but he still didn’t. Sure, he knew the location, but he had yet to actually visit the building. Maybe that made him a bad father.
To be fair, he hadn’t had much time to change how he did things between their moment of bonding and the attack on his person.
With them gone, at least for the moment, he let out a shaky sigh, shifting again in the bed. He closed his eyes, telling himself it would only be for a minute. They wouldn’t be gone more than ten minutes, he imagined, and he wanted to be awake when they returned. But the odds were against him- the room was quiet and the darkness was welcoming, the only noise in the air his gasping breaths. Even that was soon settled when the same nurse from before peeked back into the room and quickly wandered over to him. It seemed as though she had been more nervous of either Soranik and Raven than of him. What had Soranik been doing while he had been receiving her care? Yelling at everyone? Throwing things? Whatever the case, he could sense a slightly lessened fear in the woman as she checked the monitors beside his bed. Though he could hear her bustling about, and felt her poking at his burns to check on them, too, he couldn’t bring himself to open his eyes again, not even after feeling her secure an oxygen mask over his face. It helped ease the gasping, which only made thought of sleep more inviting. No. Stay awake. If he was awake when Soranik returned, he could be healed and they could just leave.
Just a few more minutes.

When she flew several times the speed of sound, the ring compensated the g force to make sure it wasn't damaging. But teleporting repeatedly for two straight minutes was not an experience she was ready for. She didn't regularly teleport, and the journey was a little disorienting for her. She stammers forward once they reach her home and quickly grabs onto the first thing she finds.
"Thank you Raven
She said in her thickly accented tone of voice as she moved away from where they entered and made her way quickly towards the lantern, which was locked away in a safe. She takes the lantern out and utters the green lantern creed in her native tongue, she can speak it in english, but she is in a hurry. She could feel the power pour through her veins as the ring quickly re-activated and placed all it's strength back within her. Mere seconds pass before Raven and Soranik and zipping across the sky back towards Sinestro's location.
"I would not mind teaching you my native language if you like Raven. After this is all over."
She explained as they flew, the journey would probably take just as long to get back as it did to get there. This will give Raven a little time to recover, but not much. She'll be able to take all the time she wants once they are back at the hospital of course, considering that her part in this little trial is done, it's now Soranik's turn to do all the heavy lifting.
When they arrive back at the hospital, Soranik lands out front and floats quickly through the hall ways and corridors, using the stairs when ever she needs to go up a floor, unless of course Raven wants to teleport them one last time back to Sinestro's room, which will be fine as well. Either way, they will return nearly as quickly as they had gone.
"We're back!
Soranik shouted as she arrived at Sinestro's side, and already all her medical constructs began to coalesce into the air from nothingness.

That was all that Raven could think about for a few seconds as she lay against the wall. Indigo eyes flickered over to Soranik as the alien doctor stumbled. Rapid teleporting for such a time and distance wasn't easy and even Raven could feel the effects on top of her exhaution. "Thank you Raven" The teenager heard Soranik and she gave the smallest of nods. "No problem. Anything I can do to help." [/b] Raven said. The more she helped, the more she could try and forget that she was half demon. As Soranik moved around, Raven remained motionless and instead started to clear her thoughts, meditating while she had the chance. Her powers were linked to her emotions. Right now she felt exhausted both physically and emotionally. Hopefully some meditations would help to relieve some of those symptoms. It wasn't that easy and she did have to concentrate as she felt like sleeping as she relaxed into the meditationg. She was briefly aware of Soranik speaking in rhyme in her native language. Say what you want, Raven thought the language beautiful. It was only seconds that Raven had to meditate, though, as they began to fly back to America. It was fast, Raven noted. The teenager could certainly not fly this fast and she wondered if any of the Teen Titans could fly this fast. Kid Flash could probably run faster than this. So the Titan took this time to consider what it was like for the Flash family. Raven began to understand with more certainty why they thought that everyone was slow. "I would not mind teaching you my native language if you like Raven. After this is all over." "Thanks, I would like that."[/b] Raven smiled. It wasn't like Raven could just pick it up by listening, there was no similarities between any of the languages on earth and the one that Sinestro and Soranik spoke. The journey gave time for Raven to rest, and it was possible that the Titan might have slipped into sleep somewhere over Eastern Europe. Even half demons need their sleep. Still, Raven's features had relaxed and she was further into sleep when they arrived and Soranik loudly exclaimed: "We're back!" Raven's eyes flickered open and she took in Sinestro's form. He was wearing an oxygen mask now. A nurse must have come in while they were out. At the moment, Sinestro probably appeared a lot less scarier than his daughter. But she didn't have long to look at the scene as green was beginning to appear everwhere. Briefly, the tired teenager thought about Beast Boy - he was green. Then Raven began to meditate, leaning against the wall. If she was needed, then she would come when called.[/blockquote][/div] [/style]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] Sinestro had just been nodding off to sleep when Soranik and Raven returned, Soranik’s happy outburst snapping him away from the clawing world of darkness that had slowly been pulling him in. He jolted in the bed, having actually been startled by the noise, even with the back of his mind telling him that they would be arriving at some point in the future. It was usually impossible to get the jump on Sinestro, who never showed any fear, but his current state was anything but usual.
Frowning, he forced open his eyes, glaring towards his daughter. Though he had been waiting for her, and indeed hadn’t wanted to fall to sleep before her return, getting woken up was never something he approved of, healthy or on death’s door. Still, there was no real malice behind his eyes, only fatigue.
Wearily, he watched the constructs appear around him, though his attention was taken away from them for a moment as he turned his sights on Raven. The young girl, probably exhausted, looked like she had taken to meditating. Good. Let her recover some of her strength. They would all soon be feeling better, through their various means. Or so he had assumed, anyway. Not feeling too inclined to speak, he simply closed his eyes again, waiting for the constructs to do their thing and help him quickly return to the world of the healthy. However, he didn’t feel much of anything, really. Had she gotten distracted by something?
Again struggling to get his eyes open, he put his blurry attention back on his daughter, arching an eyebrow with slight impatience. But he soon realized it may not have been because she wasn’t doing anything that his body wasn’t improving. It seemed the constructs, if any were to touch him, merely started to melt away, any portion that hit his skin dissolving into nothing. He frowned again, this time moving his hand to pull down the mask over his face.
“What’s going on?” He asked his daughter, as though she might have some kind of reason for the constructs fading in front of him. Maybe she was still cross with him after all, and this was all some kind of cruel joke. No, his daughter wasn’t the kind for pranks, especially when they were centered around hospital work. Asking her to mess around on the job was like asking him to mess around… at all. It just didn’t happen.
But something was going on- her constructs couldn’t seem to touch him.
It took him a moment to reflect on what had happened to him during the battle, but he eventually did seem to strike memory gold. His eyes widened somewhat, before his expression hardened angrily. “That little she-witch,” he hissed weakly, his voice not nearly as strong as his angry words would have like it to be, “she combined her powers with my ring’s energy before hitting me with it… it must have be causing some kind of interference with the constructs.” He didn’t like to use words like ‘spell’ or ‘curse’, deciding everything could be dealt with in more realistic terms. But whatever he called it, the answer to their problem remained the same: something was blocking her constructs from working on him. Even after the woman had fled, something she had left behind was looking to make sure he died. It must have been her intention all along, to wound him terribly and leave him suffering with no means of proper repair. Things probably hadn’t gone how she had anticipated, but it seemed the end result was the same.

It frustration and suffering in Soranik's eyes then, as she realized the grim cold truth of the matter. Sinestro was on his death bed and there was nothing Soranik could do for it. Years ago she would've relished this sight, but ever since finding out who he really is, and then just merely a week ago, reconciling with him in some small way all the pain and agony she'd suffered at his hand and forgiving him of it, she would now be tortured to watch him as he died. Briefly the thought filters back into her mind that her ring truly is cursed, a thought she carried with her for her first year of being a green lantern.
"I ... I do not know ... The constructs are simply dissolving as they approach you."
A multitude of screens and scanners appear in normal fashion as when Soranik performs her medical miracles with the Ring. They analyze and show on the microscopic level that some unknown unquantifiable particles similar to those that Raven has much of her body made up from, attacking and destroying the constructs at the microscopic level. When Sinestro provides his hypothesis and conclusion, Soranik's eyes boil over with rage.
"Then if my constructs can not heal you, I will use them to acquire something that can. I am leaving for Oa."
Then she made her way to the window, which she will simply destroy to exit and then mend in her departure. How ever, there is still time to get a word or two in edge wise before she goes.

[/size] [style=width:430; height:490; background-color:070014; padding:5; text-align:justify; font-family:verdana; font-size:11px; color:78747F; overflow:auto] The little bit of sleep that Raven had received was useful and so was the meditation that she was currently going through. It was keeping her calm, centered and filling her back up with energy. Her exhaustion had not just been physical, but also mentally. She had been using her soul and empathy quite a lot. Everything would be up hill from now. But then she began to pick up emotions that were creeping back into the room; emotions that didn't make sense. There was irritation coming from Sinestro and Soranik was beginning to feel frustration and what felt like someone was emotionally torturing the doctor. Indigo eyes flew open rapidly, looking for any sign of danger. There was none.
“What’s going on?” The green forms that had been taking place around Sinestro did not appear to be working. As they came close to the injured alien they seemed to disolve into nothingness. "I ... I do not know ... The constructs are simply dissolving as they approach you." Raven stood up and practically glided over to Soranik's side (glidding wasn't too hard when one could fly). There wasn't too much that Raven could understand from the diagrams, but she got the basic idea. Something within Sinestro was breaking down the contructs - and Raven assumed that this was not normal.
“That little she-witch,” Sinestro spoke and his voice sounded weak, although that wasn't suprising considering what he was going through. Raven thought back to her earlier thoughts about what she should do if Soranik couldn't help. The teenager did fear loosing herself to the demonic side and that seemed to be a possibility. Giving her life to heal Sinestro would be a way to make sure she wouldn't go demonic. Raven would prefer death to that. “she combined her powers with my ring’s energy before hitting me with it… it must have be causing some kind of interference with the constructs.”
So it apeared that Soranik's ring couldn't do anything to help and from the rage in Soranik (amoung other factors), Raven assumed that Sinestro would not have long if he wasn't helped. But the thing causing the problem was magic, wasn't it? "Then if my constructs can not heal you, I will use them to acquire something that can. I am leaving for Oa." "My magic is not nearly as strong as others like Zatanna or Doctor Fate, but I can try to help. And I still can absorb more pain." [/b] Raven said, before Soranik could leave. The teenager wanted to be able to do something to help, no mater how virteous she tried to appear, she was a demon and Raven wanted to do as much good as possible to make up for the evils within her. The evils she had done. "At the least, it'll mean you have less to do when you get back."[/b] Raven told Soranik. She would have tried to calm Soranik, but the Titan had a feeling that she would need more of her power for helping Sinestro. Which was why she carried the chair over to Sinestro's bed side. "This is okay with you, Sinestro?"[/b] Raven checked. The teenager got the sense that Sinestro liked to have some say in things, but in truth her question was more to humour him than to stop if he disagreed.[/blockquote][/div] [/style]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] Sinestro could tell his daughter was flustered. Admittedly, he wasn’t that pleased with the news, either. After all, it meant that he would likely die, as he knew the humans would not be able to treat him should his condition worsen, and he was already in a very bad condition. Even Soranik was limited with how she could help him, given the technology on the planet. Which was why she seemed eager to get off-planet and bring back some equipment that might actually be able to help him a little. He frowned at the idea of it, but before he could protest, Raven spoke her mind on the matter as well. Sinestro wasn’t used to one person wanting to help him across a street, let alone two who were willing to go to quite great lengths to see him well again.
“No, Raven,” he said softly, too exhausted to try and sound intimidating, “you shouldn’t use more of your powers so soon… you might cause yourself harm, and at my expense it is not worth the effort. Anyway, I have a feeling your powers will be blocked as the ring was.” He knew that little devil had probably put some fine curse on him, and it likely extended beyond the use of ring energy working on him. And he was right, too. If she did attempt to help him out, even with his disapproval, she would come to find her powers ineffective as well, as though she were trying to draw pain away from a stone.
He did not like the thought of dying on earth, but he did not fear it, either.
Bringing his attention back to his daughter, he continued to frown. Her idea, while seemingly less dangerous, didn’t seem to sit well in his mind, either. “I don’t know,” he breathed weakly, still speaking English though he was addressing his daughter, “how pleased the Guardians would be if you took technology from Oa and brought it to an under-developed planet like Earth. You would never get their permission.” Not that he thought she had ever intended to ask for it. Still, the guardians got mad if you sneezed the wrong way. Was she really willing to get herself into potential trouble just to try and help someone she had been eager to kill not that long ago? He couldn’t understand it, really, how things had changed so fast.
He wouldn’t complain, though. In a way, he was happy for the changes, even if they had come a little too late by the scope of things. He sighed, closing his eyes again. Without the mask on, it was getting difficult to breathe once more, but he still had things to say.
“I am not so weak that I couldn’t fight through this myself,” he offered in what had to be his boldest lie to date, “there is no reason for either of you to go to such efforts to try and help me, though I do… appreciate it.” His attempt to prove his own will power being greater than even bodily harm, however, ended abruptly, the Green Lantern no longer capable of keeping himself awake. He head slipped to the side, the prideful man falling into unconsciousness once more. At least it meant a small break from the pain he was in.
That he liked.
But it also meant he would no longer have any say in what Raven or Soranik did for him, leaving them free to plot all they wanted, or simply fly out the window to head on their way.

Soranik heard Raven's words and she shared her fathers sentiment concerning them, but she also shared his suspicions as well. Nothing beyond Sinestro's own body and modern science could help him now. It frustrated her, that her ring's very own power was now a handicap. Gently in the back of her mind she began to think a thought that might be just a little too daring, but what if she could use her ring and raw materials to construct any sort of medical equipment any where in the universe. Certain some elements are rarer than others, but if she could at the very least memorize the schematics and practice building such devices from nothing, she could prevent herself from ever being in this position again.
She paused at the window, which she had blown open, though the shards of glass and wood chips simply hung suspended in air around the window allowing a nice breeze of fresh air to enter the room breifly. She had one foot up on the window pane, her arms out stretched and her hands on the panes to left and right. She glanced back and opened her mouth to object to Sinestro's foolish disposition, but then he turned unconscious. She knew leaving him was a risk, but it was a risk she needed to take.
"I will be back as soon as I can."
She then lept out the window and immediately entered super sonic flight, which sent a rippling boom across the sky over the city they were in, turning all heads across the ground upward as she made her departure. Slowly the window seemed to mend itself with the aid of the green energy surrounding every piece. Soon it was put right back together pristine and good as new as if nothing had happened to it at all and in the same moment as that, the green Energy disappeared and so did Soranik from view of the naked eye.
She had no intention of asking the guardian's permission, nor even informing any of her peers of her intentions. She was a high ranking medical officer in the corps, and typically came and went as she pleased. Soranik has never abused her power once in her entire career as a medical professional, but today she will break that streak if it means saving the life of her dying father. She will Travel to Oa, disassymble the equipment with her ring, and bring it to earth. She expects her time on Oa will be less than 20 minutes, though the several hours long trip there and back will put her return perhaps days away.

Anyway, I have a feeling your powers will be blocked as the ring was.” "It is worth it and there is no harm trying." [/b] Raven said firmly. If the curse stopped Raven's powers, then there would be no ill effects. The only ill effects she would feel would be if she took on too many emotions. Raven knew that Soranik believed as her father but if her empathy was of no help then Raven would try magic, even prayers. She would not give up if one option was blocked. Of course, Sinestro didn't seem to like the option his daughter had offered either. “I don’t know, how pleased the Guardians would be if you took technology from Oa and brought it to an under-developed planet like Earth. You would never get their permission.” It was English, Raven noticed. “I am not so weak that I couldn’t fight through this myself,” It was a blatent lie, Raven knew that Sinestro would not fool anyone with that. “there is no reason for either of you to go to such efforts to try and help me, though I do… appreciate it.” Despite his words, Sinestro did not remain awake for long and Raven felt concern for him as he slumped down. "I will be back as soon as I can."Raven watched as Soranik left, before turning her indigo gaze to Sinesro and light touching his hand, searching for the pain to bring into herself. There was nothing. No, he can't be, not now! Raven worried, moving to check his pulse. Without the pain inside him, without being concious to project any emotions; it had seemed like Sinestro was dead. "If you can hear me, you were right. But you are still not allowed to die on us."[/b] Raven informed Sinestro, aware that he probably could not hear her. Crossing her legs, Raven thought about how she might combat the curse. Her knowledge of magic was not the best. Maybe it would be better to say a prayer although Raven feared that her prayers were never heard by anything good. So maybe that should be be back up plan if things worsened. After much thought, Raven came up with a spell that she thought might counteract the curse. So the teenager spoke the incantations as she sat besides the injured alien. [/blockquote][/div] [/style]

Her search for a pulse would eventually produce one, albeit weak and slow. There was little chance of him giving up without a fight- he would continue to cling to what little life he had left as long as possible, whether or not they had decided to help him or not. He was not the kind to give up. Still, even his will could not push his body far beyond its limits. It was foreseeable that his weakened, battered frame would give out before his mind wanted it to. Or so he thought, anyway. In any case, for the moment, he was alive, just deeply unconscious and locked away in a dream world. He couldn’t hear what Raven was saying, another’s voice blocking it from him.
He stood in a field, the flowers around him alien in nature, as though they were nothing anyone had seen before. Anyone on earth, perhaps, but the vibrant flowers were familiar to Sinestro- a breed from Korugar, and one his wife had fallen in love with the very first time he had brought her there for a visit. Kneeling, he picked one of the flowers, observing it in his hands. It set itself ablaze between his fingers, roasting away into nothing but ash. Frowning, he watched the wind carry it off, lowering his hands to his sides once moment as his silent reverie continued.
“Thaal,” a kind voice whispered, gently breaking the silence and gaining his attention. He turned, looking back at the woman he had been half-expecting to see: his beloved wife. His shoulders dropping, his tension easing, he smiled at her, moving slowly in her direction as she moved towards him. They met in the middle, Arin carefully taking hold of his hands in hers. She looked at them, gave them a squeeze, then looked up at him, her soft features holding nothing but love in them.
“I’m so sorry,” the Green Lantern said, “for… losing you. For getting you killed. Driving you away.”
“I know, my love, I know,” Arin told him, placing once hand against his cheek, “you’re chaning more every day. I can see it. The man you were is fading.”
“Am I to join you at last? After all this time, will we finally be reunited?” He asked her leaning his cheek into her touch. She continued to smile at him, though a shadow of sorrow fell over her expression. He watched her, his own smiling dropping slightly.
“Not yet, my dearest. You have not finished. As much as I want you by my side again… you are not yet the man I once loved. You must continue to work hard.”
“But I… I never intended to change in the first place. How am I supposed to do what you want? I don’t know what I’m doing at all. I love you. I… I want to be with you.” He gripped her hand in both of his, bringing it to his lips to kiss it tenderly. Arin sighed, a tear rolling down the side of her ageless face.
“I want to be with you, too, but not before your time. I will not steal you from others who need you, Thaal my love. Please- even if you do not realize it, you are changing. Day by day, you are. Follow your heart, those around you who wish to help you, and you’ll do great things, I know it. You are the greatest green lantern, are you not?” Sinestro chuckled at that, lowly. It faded quickly, his sense of loss aching inside of his chest once more. Arin took a step back from him, removing her hand from his. She smiled at him again, and turned her head away. “I have to go now. You must focus on recovering.”
“Will… will I see you again?” He asked faintly.
“Of course. I would never leave you. Live and remember the man you once were, and we’ll be together in time. I will wait for you always. I love you.” She moved back from him again, and though he wanted to follow her, a fire sparked up between the two of them, her figure soon obscured by flames.
“Arin!” he yelled, though his voice was drowned by the roar of the blaze. It circled around him, engulfing the whole of the field, minus where he stood, in crimson. “Arin!” He screamed again, but once more with no response. The fire grew brighter, until he could no longer see anything around him. His vision was engulfed in red, then white.
Then black.
