[[Well I really want PG to join the avengers, I think she'd made a great addition to the team, which is otherwise filled up with brilliant snarky people, much like she is herself. This would make a great Intro thread for it, if Iron Man and Captain America were to show up. Too bad the thread with PG and Ironman is going so slowly, I imagine this thread would've taken place after that. Ah well!]]
Powergirl had gone into a frenzy of punches and fast kicks, she was like a goliath, but faster. She didn't need to bother with evading attacks because they couldn't hurt her, so it was all just simple raw power. Her lack of caution then is what ultimately gave Thor the chance he needed to launch his coup. The hammer charged, he swung, and the hit was good. His hammer crushed into the underside of her jaw, which distended awkwardly to one side as the force of Thor's Mighty Strength poured into the blunt force object. Her eyes widened as not that strike, but the intense electrical shock that followed lit up her teeth, nose and eye sockets with blazing electrical energy. Arcs of errant lightning erupted from her eyes and licked her cheeks as her hair became a frizzy ball of poof with tiny lashing electrical sparks flickering between the strands.
But even in all his force, and all his might, all he managed to do was smash Powergirl backwards a few feet. Her intense force, her literal unending strength and power had been clearly more than enough to weather the blow. One foot was quickly sent backwards to catch herself. Her arms launched forward for balance and she used her ability to fly naturally to prevent herself from being knocked away like a mere rag doll.
The result was Powergirl stumbling backwards a few steps, her chest rising and falling with intensity as pain trickled through her facial expression, pain and cast iron determination. Not only that, but her jaw is now red where Thor's hammer hit, it's actually beat red and a bruise will quickly form there.
A bruise!
Meanwhile, as the two titans exchange blows, the bildgesnipe begins to come to from being hit with such tremendous force by Powergirl. It is dizzy and hazed at first, it shakes it's head and snuffs and snarls erratically as it stumbles back onto it's feet. It takes note of the two fighting near by and snorts at them, then turns and begins to move away.
Powergirl and Thor's fight had drawn a crowd, people had come running to see what the loud commotion was and why would they not? Fist collisions that echo for miles, thunderous rumbles resulted from the smashing of feet in each mighty step taken, literal mountains crumbling at their wake. It was a feat to watch two gods fight, and mortals are nothing if not suckers for good entertainment.
Unfortunately, they were now directly in the path of the Bildgesnipe, who was once again free to Roam thanks to Thor and Powergirl's pre-occupation with one another. And roam it did, right towards the crowd of people that watched from some distance away. They weren't far, a half mile at most, many with binoculars. They weren't many, a few dozen tops from the near by village. When the Bildge snipe began to charge at them, their cries of terror might hopefully be enough to catch the attention of our 'heroes'.
