“Loki,” she continued, “is lost and the tapestries have foretold. He will usher it in, my king. He will be the harbinger of our Twilight. Odin…he is my son, I nursed him, loved him, never judged him. I want my darling Loki back, I want Asgard at peace…I feel weak under this strain.”
What if she failed to be the mother Thor needed as she mourned Loki? The tesseract had poisoned his mind. She had not inquired of him, though she trusted he was in the hands of someone trusted. She had hired and asked for the girl herself. Girl, her smile was fond for a moment before it fell and she clutched her husband’s hand. “I need guidance. I need you.” She whispered and for a while nothing more was said. The guards that stood at attention did not speak, did not judge. They observed with coldness and Frigga wanted nothing more than to run then. Yet when the silence was broken it was jarring.
“My queen,” one of the guards from the hall came to fill the doorway.
She raised her hand to regard him. “All-Mother, the healer Sigyn is here to speak with you as you have appointed.”
Frigga stood and wiped at her dress. “Of course,” she nodded and kissed her husband’s hand. “I’ll return soon enough, love.” She vowed and walked into the hall to find the young, blonde Vanir she had charged with the physical well-being of her son.
“Sigyn, child,” she smiled warmly her voice sincere. “I do hope my request for you didn't disturb you.”[/ul]
