Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: dddddd; border: #cccccc solid 8px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;] Everything I've done, I've done for you Tagged: Everyone The Words: 908 The Notes: Hope nothing important was left out. Sue had arrived at the gala about thirty minutes after her brother. Sure Reed had said he needed her there at the lab to help out with his latest theory, but she had reminded him that sending Johnny to a party was not the brightest thing to do. It was like giving Ho Hos to a diabetic. She knew there would be trouble, more so if there was alcohol involved. Reed of course couldn’t argue with her logic, and with her being the only one he would halfway listen too let her go to the party. She had of course planned to attend before Reed asked her to help him, and she had laid out the dress she had planned on wearing. Of course when she arrived, her picture was taken by numerous camera and press representatives. She hated to be the center of attention, and with the numerous flashes of light she was getting a bit nervous. She entered the area where the party was taking place, hoping that she would calm down a bit once she was inside. That was of course far from what really happened. Instead she got even more nervous as she took in the attendees of the soiree. She spotted her brother by the bar with two of his co-workers from SHIELD. Her eyes traveled the room, and spotted more agents that she knew worked with her brother. Sure she was know in various scientific journals for her genetic research studies, but she still felt a bit out of place. She looked down to see that her right hand had disappeared, and her arm was slowly joining it. She did her best to hide that fact, and looked around the room for a way to a bathroom she might use until she could calm herself down. As she did, she couldn’t help but notice that a man she had heard her brother describe over the phone stand near the bar area. If her memory was correct, she thought she heard him call that man Loki. Sue spotted a doorway that looked like it would lead to a much coveted destination, and made a run for it. Figuratively speaking of course. A lady never runs in heels, and was she wearing them. The of course matched her dress, and so did her handbag for the evening. Once she reached the bathroom, she slipped in and closed the door behind her. She locked it to make sure no one would come in and, if it got bad enough, see a dress floating in the air above a pair of pumps. It took her quite a while to collect herself, and when she was sure she had a handle on her emotions she emerged from the bathroom. She was about halfway back to the room where the party was taking place when she heard someone scream. She rushed back inside just before the doors slammed closed, and got locked. Her eyes searched for the source of the commotion, and saw a plump agent that she knew worked with Johnny floating in his soup bowl. As she attempted to get closer to see if she could be of some help, it appeared that two doctors beat her to the man. A male and female. The male she didn’t know, but she knew the female worked with her brother. She stayed nearby, listening to what was happening not quite paying attention to what was going on outside that table. Before she knew what was going on, she could hear another body drop from behind the bar. ’There goes the bartender…’ She thought to herself, as her eyes landed on the Loki person. She saw him move his left arm forward and quickly saw sharp knives come in her direction. Her instincts kicked in, and she put up a force field between herself and the knives, and hoped that she was able to save at least someone else’s life as well. She watched as the knives hit her shield and clanged to the floor. She then watched in horror as a man attempted to shoot the demigod, only to see him get frozen and shattered for his efforts. She knew she had to help get the other guests out of there, and it seemed that the easiest way for her to do that was to start breaking windows. She could try breaking the doors down, but there was no guarantee that she could accomplish that as it would take some amount of focus and force to do so. She couldn’t be certain if she could do it as she had not quite mastered controlling her powers yet. Sue looked at her brother and nodded her head once to let him know that she would do her best to get the other guests out of the locked room. She imagined a sledgehammer and used her manipulation of her force fields to break a few windows out. ”Everyone calmly exit out of the broken windows and retreat to safety.” She called out to the room, ignoring the taunts of who she assumes to be Loki about SHIELD without their heroes to come and save them. She looked at him, and wondered if he knew that her and Johnny were heroes in their own right. She got ready to erect another field around the escaping guests should this demigod decide to throw more projectiles at them to prevent them from leaving. |

[atrb=border,0,true] Things happened. More people wandered in, conversations started up between business partners, and the party got more and more interesting by the moment. Cole Cash talked with no one and did nothing, just stood there and ate, relishing the sptiuous food. Naah. It wasn't poisoned. He was about 110% sure of that. Also, the spotted dick was the best he had eaten in a long time. He was about done with his first plate when Borris died. Not even looking up, he just took the remaining bite, downed the last bit of scotch and wandered over to a trash can, throwing his waste away and sticking the glass in his pocket. He'd return it later, he promised himself. Not a thing about what was unfolding bothered him. Cole was famous for this sort of thing, not flinching at situations that would make others throw up or run in complete and utter terror. He wasn't sure who everyone was; after all most of them were probably not from his universe anyway. But somehow he felt comfortable here, like he belonged- to the chaos that was sure to follow.
Still the situation got weirder and weirder, yet Cole didn't move his body an inch. He just leaned his head back, closed his eyes, and almost went to sleep. Everyone seemed to be screaming. Terror flooded through the room. The temperature rose about fifteen degrees. Oh, to hell with it. This wasn't too bad. They should just wait. The whole reason he had come to this party... It wasn't just a want for some scotch. Most of the time that was the main motive, but not this time. He knew something no less than terribly grand was going to happen tonight in the presence of all these people and non-people and heroes. The dead guy, too, but that was stretching it. This feeling, an inkling, a tick, nagged at the back of his mind, almost drove the blonde insane. What was worse, Cole had this deep feeling that Loki wasn't the whole of it. There was a bigger, grander scheme... The bartender had died instantly, as well as Borris. Brutal deaths, too, ones that could only be brought on by an Asgardian god of tricksters and others of that ilk. Still Cole waited. To say the least, he was suspucious of the host himself, and admittedly also the rest of the guests that filled the ballroom. Whatever happened, he was ready. His colt was up his sleeve, as usual.
tags: Angeles Ball, everyone, too numerous to name. word count: too lazy at the moment. notes: Sorry it took me a while, and for the fact that Cole's just filling. Background, ya know what I mean?

I need someone to show me the things in life that I can't find I can't see the things that make true happiness, I must be blind [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: B8B8B8; border: #550505 solid 4px; width: 400px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;]
It wasn't the kind of party to get drunk at. Of course, when it came to Tony Stark, it was never a party to get drunk at. At least, that's what Pepper Potts would argue. If you asked the man himself, however, Tony would probably reply that there was no such thing as an inappropriate time to get drunk.
Maybe a black-tie event for the charity wasn't exactly the time and place for the infamous Tony Stark, one of the biggest donors to the charity (whatever the hell it was for, Tony couldn't remember. There were a lot of charities in the world, after all), to be nearly hammered and struggling to stay upright.
The limousine pulled up to the front of the building where the ball was taking place, reporters and photographers immediately flash-bombing him as he unsteadily stepped out of the vehicle, sunglasses permanently attached to his face, hair gelled up and freshly-shaven. He wore a dark gray, shiny suit of fine fabric and spiffy-looking tie. He stumbled only once getting out of his vehicle, the valet only able to take a step toward him before he righted himself.
This wasn't the first party that Tony had attended this evening and it appeared as if it wouldn't be his last either. As the infamous bad boy walked down the red carpet and through the doors, only those with a highly-trained eye could tell that anything was amiss with the Man of Iron. Spending a life as an alcoholic as well as New York's golden boy meant learning how to hide the drunkenness when he wanted to. His sway looked more like a swagger and he didn't even check in at the door, just strolled right through into the main room of the party, where he was greeted by a large crowd eager to meet or even just catch a glimpse of the great Tony Stark, especially with the Stark Expo rapidly approaching New York.
Tony raised his hands to the crowd, a large grin on his face."The party don't start til I walk in," he sang with a chuckle.

Always did have a habit of aiming high, no matter what the situation, even if it was a dance partner for a moment. It was going well, maybe she'd make a few waves and see what sort of publicity it got her with this big named man, always make a good impression, one of the few reasonable things her grandfather had said when his lips weren't wrapped around the mouth of a bottle. "Gotham, actually, born and raised," It was a damn badge of honor to survive a childhood in Gotham City as far as she was concerned, and she had to grin when she moved with the spin. Eve enjoyed dancing, had learned to love it through her childhood, because she would have had even more troubles with her grandmother if she didn't, "And I'm here to represent Wayne Enterprises as Mr. Wayne couldn't be here tonight, he sends his regards though, I assure you," The boss man was always so busy, especially in the evening, he would up and just disappear and Eve was painfully curious about what he did that he would leave so abruptly. It was pleasant enough, until someone screamed, turning she looked past a few people to see the fat bastard from earlier swimming in the soup so to speak, "Ah yes, we should Mr. Angeles," Eve barley managed to get out the reply, attention diverted by the sudden death at the table. Heart attack, stroke? Aneurysm maybe? There was a group gathering by the dead man that looked painfully tense and Eve was smart enough to start backing away, now was probably a good time to call it a day. But when she made for the doors she found they were shut tight and the entire situation seemed to be going downhill quickly. The temperature seemed to be dropping and her eyes turned to the guy Dom had been spending the time with, and the brunette actually couldn't bring herself to be surprised that Dominique would find the craziest, most dangerous guy at the party to chat up. He wasn't human, that much was clear when he did that admittedly impressive wardrobe change that shouldn't have been logically possible.......where those knives? Instinct had her diving behind the bar, peaking up to catch Dom sitting there like she was at a picnic, just as blase as ever, "Dom!" It was a harsh whisper to get her attention, motioning for the other woman to join her as opposed to just sitting there like that. The guy exploded, and that was just it, that was the icing on the proverbial cake, Eve ducked back down behind the bar and tried to take a deep breath. This was insane, even by her standards, and here she thought she had seen it all by now, "This can't be fucking happening," A breathless whisper from where she was crouched, watching as people ran past trying to get to the doors when the windows all exploded, she had to wonder what else could go wrong. So much hatred for that man, the night had been going along so well up until the point he dropped dead and she knew she was supposed to be a nice girl and all, but she was almost relieved that he was now out of everyone's hair, even if that thought was utterly terrible. Well, Danii could only be so nice about someone like that, he had always been more of a liability then an asset. "Jean-Paul, didn't even see you there, but I have to agree," Danii tilted her head, catching sight o what the man was looking at, Loki, it would be Loki, did he have that woman under his spell? She couldn't tell, but from here her eyes didn't look to have that same creepy glow to them that Clint's had. Granted her sunglasses didn't do much except wash out color, so she couldn't be sure, "Bradley, I don't care how drunk ya are, I will slap you, now quit staring at my tits, now is not the time," If Loki was here, then she was sure everyone needed to be sober for this party. The sudden flash caught her off guard and she turned to give the bean stalk with the camera a scowl but never quite made it when her attention was grabbed by Bradley, in his drunken glory, meeting the floor with his face. Oh this night was getting better by the second, Danii was just about to reach for him when Vaughan pulled her back and towards the bar, "Shit!" The knives whistled past with too much precision, lodging right between some poor man's eyes as he dropped. Her jaw clenched tight as she reached into her purse, feeling around for her cellphone and hitting the small button on the side that didn't belong for any reason other then as an alert system. When the Captain had a good idea, it really was a damn good idea. He was mocking them, and even between them Danii knew full well they couldn't put any sort of hurt on him, but as she moved to step forward, Tony Stark of all people walked in. She didn't know whether to be relieved or worried but then he opened his mouth and the blonde had to wonder if the man realized that the crowd around him wasn't trying to get his autograph but get past him in order to get away from the homicidal demi-god in green, "Oh my fuckin' Lord Stark, don't tell me you're drunk," It may have been hard to tell, but it was still noticeable. Picking up the hem of her dress a little so she could move better, the woman marched over with a hiss as cold as the rest of the room had become and leaned in close, "Not sure if ya noticed, but there's this living breathing asshat from Norse mythology standing in the room bumpin' people off, so you need to sober yourself up fast.....actually never mind, I need you workin' on full thrusters like right now," And with that she pulled back and gave him a good smack across the face, "Nothin' but love Tony," Danii muttered, her way of apologizing. With that she turned on her heels to give the aforementioned god a stare from behind her sunglasses, puffing up a little with the indignation of his mockery, "Who's cowering? If you wanna start somethin' we'll have a go cause I ain't gonna let you keep killing people just because you felt like ruining a party today," Not like she could win, but maybe they could stall instead, it was a SHIELD agents duty to keep innocent civilians safe, no matter what. The windows blowing out had her on edge until she spotted the culprit, Danii hadn't even known Sue Storm was showing up to the party but damn it was a useful thing that she had, the blonde always knew there was a reason she liked the Fantastic Four so much. All I want is freedom, BUT YOU COULDN'T RESISTT O F O R G E T E V E R Y T H I N G I N M Y P A S T- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -With the Angeles Ball currently happening in Washington DC, Captain America was back on the SHIELD Helicarrier where his task to find his best friend Bucky Barnes was a success. When Steve found out about Bucky's past up until this point in time, he was hurt to learn that Bucky had been put into a cryogenic sleep, although coming together after a long separation took away a huge mass of nostalgia for The First Avenger. Steve felt alone in the modern world, and his nostalgia had been intensifying every day, but being able to reunite with Bucky after so long was a joyful moment for both of them, so now Steve wasn't alone anymore.
The two humble soldiers clearly had allot to catch up on, so they were located in the World Watch Station of the helicarrier conversing about the past. That was until the alert system suddenly proceeded to ring out threw the helicarrier, which was informing all the agents that another agent somewhere on Earth was currently in danger. There was a threat going on somewhere, and Steve quickly realized that due to the fact that he was the one who created the alert micro chips that were implanted within the custom made devices such as cellphones produced by a SHIELD technologist.
This was an important creation, because the agent wearing or equipped with the device had a life alert. This was directly because of the recent attack from Loki, and countless agents being killed in missions, plus Steve wasn't much of a technologist, so what he learned from his time spent with Howard Stark was enough cognition for him to make this happen. The chips within the devices could even send information back to the helicarrier showing the exact user under danger and their current location. "This is not good, Bucky. Someone is in danger. We need to go to the Computer Center and find out exactly what's going on," Steve expressed to his best friend with huge concern. The two quickly took off to the Computer Center, so that Steve could determine who was in danger and where, because something extremely tragic was obviously occurring right now.
Upon arriving to the Computer Center, Steve approached the main computer in the front of the room, then examined the information given to him from the chip, which showed up on the large screen displaying a map of the world. The screen zoomed in on a red blinking dot coming from North America, particularly in Washington DC. It suddenly hit Captain America that the Angeles Ball was going on at the moment in Washington DC, and the chip sent information to the screen that the alert was coming from Danii Washington.
She was an agent more than capable of taking care of herself and others under a sudden crisis, so this had to be a major ordeal for someone like Lady Liberty to have signaled the alert. "Bucky, it looks like you and I are about to partake in our first mission in a very long time. The Angeles Ball is proceeding in the nations capital right now, and I was supposed to attend, but after finding you, well I thought it would be more important to get you acquainted with everything regarding SHIELD as of late. Danii is in danger, we have to save her, and the others who might be in danger as well." By now everyone including Nicky Fury knew about the situation, so agents were taking to the jets on the flight deck to travel to the Angeles Ball to rescue Danii Washington and the others from the danger that they were currently in.
Steve and Bucky were on their way as well, and lucky for Steve, he was already in his suit with his shield equipped, so the two left the Computer Center in route to the flight deck. Captain America along with Winter Solider flew off the flight deck of the helicarrier via Captain America's Justice Jet. Meanwhile, Nick Fury began notifying some other agents, members of The Avengers, and even some other known heroes for assistance. It was only a short matter of time before the Angeles Ball was going to be surrounded by SHIELD agents, as Captain America and Winter Soldier were on their way to rescue all of those in danger.

He hadn't long been off ice; it was taking time to readjust to the world, to walking, to being human - his body was still in condition, though due to such an extended length of time repairing the mental damage done by the Russians, it had deteriorated ever so slightly. Nothing the gym and sessions with Steve wouldn't fix, though - it was hardly as though a returning SHIELD agent could go for a long while without keeping their body fitness as high as possible. But that was going to wait; after sharing a hug or two and a moment of sheer joy that he was seeing Steve once more, Bucky was being shown the Helicarrier by his best and oldest friend.
Things for the most part had been going well; he was learning of the ship he was on, he was learning of the change of technology and, while it was a rather solid future shock for the young man, he was sure that he would be able to stick it out and get used to his new surroundings. The technology from the days of Howard Stark had certainly change very drastically over the space of 50 odd years. It was amazing.
But, as it happened, the Winter Soldier and the Captain wouldn't get too long to cover much in the way of ground work. They had only just began their tour and talk, when an alarm sounded across the ship. No time was wasted before they found themselves in the computer room together, side by side once more, looking over the information sent. Washington, Danii - the name and her picture had ran itself up across the screen, identifying her, and then her co-ordinates. While he had no idea what was going on, Bucky wasn't best pleased with an attack going on in DC; such arrogance to attack the countries capital.
"Just like old times huh, Steve? Don't worry, if it's anything like the war, we've got this covered." Even with time in the cryogenics tube, Bucky was still as encouraged as he ever had been; Steve Rogers had been a massive influence on his life. The man who went from zero to hero - a good man who took up the shield and arms, not for himself, not for his own personal goal or gain, but for the good of the world and the good of America. To be at the side of a man like that was more than enough to keep spirits high.
Still, while Steve was in his uniform, it was time to redawn his - a modified version of his Winter Soldier gear to look more SHIELD purposed; they even removed the soviet stars with the same America crest on Steve's shield; a nice touch, if he said so himself. Armed with his rifle, his handgun and covering his arm bio-mechanical arm - which was taking getting used to, now that he was in his normal state of mind - they were ready for sure. They hit the jets, and they were off; both in one aircraft together with a SHIELD pilot. Bucky couldn't fly a plane, and he never bothered to as Steve if he could, but even then...all those dials. Nothing like the aircraft they were used to seeing.
From the debriefing he was given about the suspected threat, Barnes could only see himself as confused - Loki? Norse mythology? He was pretty sure there was only one God, and he wasn't too keen on imposters of old myth, it was just lacking originality. At least come up with an original name and gimmick, why take it from a book they read? He was pretty optimistic about the success rate of this plan - for one, he was working with Captain America, the first superhero the world had, as far as his mind was concerned. Teamed up with the Winter Soldier, there was no way they could lose. Right?
There wasn't long before they made it to the location, and then would be the fun part - jumping in and busting up the party. There was nothing quite as fun as entering the location from a rope through the roof.

[atrb=border,0,true]So Cut Out The Heart And Watch the World Burn Down
Loki did not bother to pay any mind to Dom when she moved away from him, Better that she was out of the way then in the cross. If he killed her, he would at this point care nothing for it. He took note of his surrounding, the actions people were taking to move from his destructive path, those that chose to stand in its way, well he would toy with them in the mean time.
He continued to smirk at them all, even catching the glances the man kept making towards the bag at his feet, no doubt a weapon. "Go ahead, Draw your weapon he spoke to them, knowing that it would do nothing against him. He tilted his head to the side slightly when he was addressed.
"What Do I want? Right now, Nothing more then to make this night a living nightmare for your people. you can stand and bear witness while I kill them all. An you with out your heroes to save you, powerless." However he completely ignored the host of the party for the time being. Though what else could be said to the man that would not raise a flag. Loki was well aware that he was not supposed to know the location of the scepter. Regardless that he could feel its lingering signature on Angeles.
Though for the time being something else caught his attention. His head turned to the side only to see that someone had shattered the windows. People where trying to escape, he would not be allowing that tonight. His attention turned back to the agents of shield for his next actions. Loki held his hand out to the side, his palm facing the windows, pulling the glass shards from the ground surrounding the people and hurling them rapidly into the flesh of the people trying to escape.
Bodies upon bodies piled upon one another. Her shield would be useless for a threat on multiple fronts. He was a master tactician, There was no point for people with no knowledge of him to even begin to try and fight Loki. It would only result in death.
"there Is no place for heroes here, your pathetic mutated abilities are no match for Arcane Arts" He looked at Susan Storm with a sadistic smirk plastered on his face. "Try something foolish again and you will join your fellow humans in Hel. " It was to be a lesson, being a hero not only can get you killed, but the blood of others can lay on the hero's failed attempt.
Loki could not help but laugh as another entered, Stark, The Iron man, seemed to be clueless to what was going on around him. No doubt intoxicated. The demi-god only watched in amusement as Stark was slapped by Dani. As soon as she moved, Loki called a Bar stool to his hand before he then tossed it with force towards Tony, "Why don't you take a seat, and enjoy the show" This was going to be nothing but amusement. So it seemed.
He began to walk forwards towards Dani as she spoke to him. This was an interesting choice. They both knew that with the forces at play, they could not win. Shield would not walk away on top. "You may not be, but I see the fear in the eyes of the people you are around. The uncertainty that comes from not knowing if they will walk away with their lives. Or rather how much blood will be on their hands for their lack of ability." There was something about a hint of madness in his voice, in his eyes. No purpose to his actions just pure chaos.
He laughed softly, barely inches from Dani, "I know you are stalling, waiting for your heroes to arrive. But I assure you, They will not be the help you so desperately need. " His voice was a threatening tone, lower in sound yet almost patronizing.

I've gotta get outta here-" Pete muttered quickly, although the Bugle's photographer had been mildly amused at the reaction the camera flash had earned him (that would definitely be a picture he would look forward to developing later). He bolted once Susan Storm created an escape route (he always knew he liked her for a reason). It simply seemed as though Peter had fled to escape with the rest of the crowd. He was certain Johnny would fight alongside him to help get everyone out before the death toll got any higher. He just needed to change his outfit.
Alright. Time for Spidey to play hero. Everyone had been so fixated on escaping, on Sue, or on Loki that they didn't notice Peter slip under one of the buffet tables and slip into his suit (which was conveniently underneath his tux, prepare for the worst, right?) At least Supes is classy and uses a phonebooth! What do I get stuck with? Changing under a tableskirt and getting chewing gum on my suit. Even at classy parties! Gimme a TARDIS, Anything! Peter decided that he was going to cover for the Invisible Woman as she helped guard the people while they escaped through the windows, but once he poked his head out from under the table he watched in horror as the shards of glass pierced through those who were only trying to save their lives. Some people were still playing hero, shielding their loved ones with their bodies. Peter watched a couple die in each other's arms, their hands still linked as they fell to the ground. His hands balled up into fists, every bone in Peter Parker's body was trembling with anger. He recognized the god at the center of the ballroom. It was the same man he had encountered in the subway, the one he had agreed to help spy on the Avengers. Loki. The god had a name now.
Well, down came the rain...
Spider-Man quickly shot a stream of web to catch the barstool before it hit Tony Stark in the kisser, tossing it behind him. "Hey! Wizard of Oz! Over here!" Peter noticed that some of party-goers seemed to calm a bit now that he had arrived on the scene, but in all honesty, he had no freaking clue how he was going to face up against a God. How stupid he felt for trusting this Loki character!
"Enough! The ball's over for you, Cinderelly. The clock's just struck midnight!" Spider-Man positioned himself between Loki and Danii and Stark, trying to buy time for the people to escape, a miracle, something. "Dress looks great by the way." he seemed to compliment Danii, probably standing closer to the god of mischief than he should have. "Green is so your color."

It was funny, how good a new found, newly renewed, completely unrealised sense of raw power felt. Coursing through one's veins, pumping simultaneously with the bloodstream; the heart, the arteries, the muscles, everything working in one, cognitive, clear manner - the mind's third eye meeting the horizon of his physical specimen. It felt fantastic; like a new man and, despite the mask still pumping his painkiller through him, the addition of venom had pumped Bane's existence into something so much bigger. He had never been quite so threatening, so intimidating - he was the archetype for expanding his body's prowess, Crane had assured him. And had Jonathan certainly been right about that.
As his muscles bulged and flexed, Bane had decided a brazen entry to the party - he knew all too well that he would never be on the invite list, but that a brother in arms, so to speak, was already inside. Mischief liked to have fun, and Loki's fun was much like his own. Plus, he opened the doors for the man in tow; clear a path so that the good doctor could pass through with as little trouble as possible. Jacket, flak-vest and his usual cargos, boots and wrist-tape, the Bat Breaker had decided to join aristocracy for the night, spread his message in a way only he could.
They wouldn't like Bane's message, nor his method of getting it across.
The first to fall would be the oddly unaware guards at the door, trying to keep the trouble out. How silly of them; as they tried to restrain Bane from entry. They even put their hands on him - he couldn't be having that. He glanced between the pair, and with few words, he was very suddenly striking. One man took a punch to the gut, and found himself raised off of the ground, while his compadre took a rather nasty elbow to the jaw - teeth, of course, went flying. It was almost majestic, in a way; a scene that could be so fittingly played in slow-motion, with such a melodramatic classical theme as the overture. Beauty in destruction and disaster.
As man number two returned from the elbow - having bounced against the door frame - he would be given a delightful knee to the chest, dragged down into for full velocity. He too went in the air, and as he began gagging for air, man number one was hoisted and tossed to the floor with no effort at all. It was a deadpan impact; a blunt slap that could be heard all throughout the entrance, his head brutally whip-lashing against the cold floor. That was contenting enough, they wouldn't be going far. Man two may even have had the joy of spewing up blood somewhere down the line.
Sadly, panic had already began before he had made his presence known, a pity really, but certainly looked like good fun. Loki knew what he was doing, that was a definite. During the madness, a SHIELD agent had managed to spot the masked man, and in attempts to try and confront him, sprawling to hide his own fear, he simply got in Bane's way. He had no time to talk to grown men who were simply wetting themselves on the floor; he was far too important for that. Rather than speak, he decided to once again test his strength - a quick step back, and a sharp right hook to the jaw, mister agent was out like a light. Alive? Perhaps, but that was a traumatic punch right there. He would have to re-instant his thanks to Crane later on down the line. But that was later on. For now, fun was to be had.
As he practically glided through the madness around him, occasionally taking a punch or kick at fleeing unknowns, sending them to the floor with such aggression it'd have been considered the end to a particularly brutal boxing match. "Mister Loki! So good to see you have riled the party up so neatly. Perhaps you have room for one more? After all, what is a party if you're the only one enjoying yourself?" If his face wasn't hidden, he would have been grinning. Demonically so.
Of course, his eyes eventually narrowed to a particular group of agents; they had faces he recognised. Thorns in his side to be, so he considered them. "Miss Washington; so glad you could join us for tonight. Tonight's entertainment, the fall of as many SHIELD agents who fail to run. It will be most delightful."

[style=font-family: times; font-size: 12px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-transform: lowercase; color: #989898; font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;] 321 WORDS FOR Angeles BallChaos is going down still and Jeremiah is questioning how smart accepting this invite was. CRUELTY [/style] | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: #6d6d6d;] [style=padding: 10px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 10px; height: 475px; overflow: auto; color: #1e1e1e;] There had been no reason to stay around a body that was dead, nothing in medical science could help a man once deceased, though with a cause of death unknown well—but that was a different story. A completely different story and one Jeremiah Arkham didn’t have time to think on at that moment when the news that the doors were locked suddenly hit him. He’d retreated from the body by that point and was observing from what he had hoped was a safe distance, when the first threat of the night made himself known.
And if this threat didn’t just spell trouble for them all. He clenched his jaw and shook his head, trying to stay calm, whilst the masses were panicking. He’d been trained to deal with mass hysteria, but not demi-gods. Especially when he murdered the bartender and many of the people around the man, Borris, he’d come to discover.
He could feel the air and a chill, totally unrelated to temperature ascended his spine. The air was becoming brisk and his eyes were trained on Loki as the culprit. Then it just seemed that everything got worse: the windows were broken, SHIELD went on the offensive, some of the “heroes” even showed up, but that became a blood bath with the god using the glass of the shattered windows to kill the escapees. He even felt his stomach churn at the abandonment of care of human life. He knew he could hold no disregard, but this was pushing it. He felt less and less present the longer it went on. He really shouldn’t have taken the invitation, he realized. And he wanted nothing more to be at home right then.
Was he going to die, was this it?
And then he saw someone else enter the room, someone he knew better. And he cursed mentally. Loki was a mystical, all-powerful threat…and now…Now there was Bane.
It seemed the inferno had just gotten higher. [/style] |

The room was a whirlwind panic and chaos. People were desperate for escape. Here sat Dominique Falcone with her legs crosses and a martini in her hand. She sat in the line of crossfire but she had little intention of remaining. The glass behind her began to splinter as it formed small spider web designs. She had just sat her glass down when the sound of it all shattering filled the room. Shards of glass rained down to the ground, a large piece cut her right forearm that had come up to protect her head. She hissed in pain as she recoiled to examine the damage. It wasn't serious but it would bleed a bit that was for sure. Her brows furrowed as she looked up to the blonde woman who had apparently made this all happen so addressed the demi-god as Loki reversed the good deed into bloodshed. Bodies dropped to the floor and if the woman makes it out alive, she was now on Dominique's shit list.
Her name harshly whispered drew her attention. Her eyes landed on Eve who had taken shelter behind the bar. Dominique raised herself up on her feel as she walked over the broken glass and dead bodies as if they were muddy water that threatened to get her expensive shoes dirty. She flicked her right arm to disperse the blood droplets as it pooled wet on her fingertips. She glanced over as her dance partner advanced on the group at the bar. They were all dead. This was the first time Dominique had been around the people from the alternate universe and she had to say they did not disappoint. She caught a glimpse of someone in red and blue spandex shooting... fucking spider webs!? She shivered and made a cringe face as she squatted down next to Eve.
"Nice hiding spot," She spoke as she peeked up from behind the bar and looked for an exit. Her head snapped to the doors that would lead to the pool area had they not been locked. She had heard something. But oh well. Dominique looked down at Eve. "Tel Ki I'm going to need him soon." She said as she gave the woman a knowing look. She need bad cop. There were things at work. Was it something more than luck that she had danced with Loki? She gathered the attention she needed from a set group in exchange for her to meet a quite intriguing individual. She didn't know the next time she'd see him due to the events that had yet to unfold but she did hope they'd cross paths again.
"I can use a drink." Dom spoke as she crouch-walked her way around the bar. She had made the drink quickly though she wanted lime. The fruit tray was on top of the bar. She heard the doors give way and someone started talking. She took the distraction as an opportunity to bring her hand up to the surface. She hit the counter a few times before she grabbed the lime she was searching for. She squeezed the juice inside and walked back over to Eve before she handed the bottle of gin to her freaked out friend. "I'll be seeing you much later. Try to get out in one piece, I think I'd actually be sad for Malaki if you died. Cheers!" She said as she down the drink and set it on the ground. "And if you died I'd be sad too." She gave Eve a quick smile before she stood up and walked from the woman's hiding spot. She turned around.
"Fuck." She spoke aloud.
Bane.
His man was her rival back in Gotham. He wanted to disrupt Gotham in ways beyond repair while she wanted to have her hands in it all so that her family legacy would defile the streets again. But there was a common bond between the two that existed as of the night before. It was the very reason she was here. She had a job to do however Dominique was unaware the brute was crashing the party. It was but a few seconds pause before she turned her head followed by her own body and walked away from him very quickly. She knew what he looked like on average. There was something odd about him as current. That malicious glint in his eyes spoke of horrors to come and she wanted nothing more than to get away.
She made her way through the room, weaved through the bodies and overturned furniture. The doors were locked, she had no plans of crossing the windows. She walked on, lured the mouse to out to play. A hand had grabbed her left bicep. She had been caught. She stopped walking but threw her arm back to get out of his reach. People were screaming as an effect to the events that were occurring over at the main area. She couldn't hear the words the man spoke. Dominique attempted to get out of his hold again only instead of being left standing she balled her right fist up and sent it out to his jaw. Strands of hair collected in her face as her chest heaved in played anger. In reality everything was going according to plan. Even if he were to throw her against the wall and slap cuffs on her wrists, she would be fine-- everything was in their favor now.

Who: Bradley Andrews, Everyone. Where: Washington DC ;; Mansion What: Annual ball hosted by Clyde Angeles. When: The night after the DEBFRIEFED meeting. Notes: Bradley Andrew's NPC profile.
, "Bradley, I don't care how drunk ya are, I will slap you, now quit staring at my tits, now is not the time," Checkmate.
"Go ahead, Draw your weapon." The unimpressed demi-god spoke. He had obviously taken note of Bradley's sudden interest in his duffle bag. He glanced up and Danii as well as Vaughn were beginning to step up to the challenge. He had that one particular weapon on him. Tonight was the night of all nights he, one of SHIELD's brightest weapons technicians, would carry the weapon. Ever since the events in New York, on the Hellicarrier, it was high priority to further develop this particular weapon. He watched over the construction of each piece. They were delicate to create as there is only but one other in back up. The idiots in the room all clammorred to the windows so that they may be the first ones out. But their attempts failed as Loki waved his hand and the shards came up and plunged themselves into major arterial veins. Bradley's brows furrowed even more.
Well, since he gave permission. Bradley fumbled through his alcohol induced haze as his fingers worked with the zippers. People were appearing out of the woodwork and he still gaze the man with the camera a disgruntled look. But it wasn't long before he disappeared and the weapons tech heard flesh meeting with flesh. There he was with his hand inside of the duffle bag while he snickered at Tony Stark being slapped by Lady Liberty. It wasn't a party until Iron Man was assulted by a female-- at least so he heard. He worked quickly as he turned his back to the group, the gun wasn't as small as he'd like. He glanced up to see the doors shatter completely. Bradley's mouth dropped, if his jaw was that of a snake and he was able to dislocate them, his jaw would be cleaning the floor with his flesh and drool. In walked some huge guy in leather and a muzzle. His muscles flexed and rippled underneath his flesh. The woman Loki was dancing with stood before him and he did not have a good feeling. His hands tightened around the machine as he lifted it up in the air and flipped the power on.
The sound of energy awakening came from it but as the brunette walked away unscathed, it made Bradley become in somewhat of a stupor. That wasn't exactly a good sign even as he heard the words the muscle man had spoken. He had an arm out as Andrews walked further out, the new man would have to shuffle quickly if he wanted to catch Bradley before firing. But his attention wasn't on him, oh no. With haste, Bradley lifted the gun up in the air and pointed it directly at Loki, who was threatening the small group-- Spiderman had emerged. Good enough distraction though he was sure the God hadn't forgotten about Bradley at all. Without so much as a warning his finger pressed against the trigger, the charged blast of energy intent on striking Loki.

THE WAR IS WON [style=border-right:10px solid #0066CC; letter-spacing:0px; border-top:10px solid #0066CC; background-color:#000000; padding: 3px; font-family:arial; font-size:10px; text-align:justify; line-height:9px; ] Captain America and Winter Soldier had finally arrived at the Angles Ball in Washington DC, as the nostalgia returned to Cap, which made what memories he had left of the war resurface in his mind. He began to have flashbacks of fighting in the war alongside Bucky, but instead battling The Red Skull, they were about to put a stop to all these crazies at the ball from their wreckless havoc. These scoundrels weren't going to get away with all this murdering, because a symbol of freedom was here to save the innocent party goers, and they were going to be saved with justice from Captain and Winter Soldier. Not to mention that Thor was going to be arriving shortly as well, since the God of Thunder accepted Cap's request for assistance regarding this rescue mission.
Cap had tried reach the other Avengers, but his attempt to get into contact with Tony and Bruce were unsuccessful. What Cap didn't know at the moment was that Tony was already at the Angeles Ball, and he was well, being Tony as usual. Most likely off being drunk, because he wasn't responding to the messages on his phone. Cap probably would have had a better chance to contact miss Pepper for Iron Man's assistance, since she's the only one who can get into contact with him. Plus, Bruce was off somewhere in the world trying to find himself, and escape the monster inside, or whatever he was doing, well it wasn't helping Captain America and Winter Solider right now. As for Clint and Natasha, Cap had yet to hear from them, and he couldn't wait to unite The Avengers any longer. The two freedom fighters, Captain America and Winter Soldier along with The God of Thunder would definitely pack a punch of justice for these lunatics trying to cause mayhem.
Their time was up, and it was time to end all this madness, as Cap landed the Justice Jet down on the street near the broken widows where people were still escaping from. Cap was in complete shock and horror to see countless party goers lying dead everywhere, as the majority of the party goers were still being killed. It felt like Cap was behind enemy lines in the war all over again. It reminded him of all the young soldiers who died to protect this country, only to have villains here killing all the innocent people who the soldiers died protecting, so that we as a nation could live in freedom and peace, but that was being taken away from all these people losing their lives. "I'm changing our scheme, Bucky. Our new plan is entering threw the broken windows. We can't afford to waste anymore time. These people have been threw enough already, so we must enter threw the windows immediately, and finally put an end to this chaos once and for all," Cap informed Bucky with a serious tone, as he was more than ready to stand up to these villains, who were nothing more than bullies. "Well Bucky, it seems like only yesterday we were fighting Nazis, so let's show these evildoers why we won the war," That was definitely some motivation right there, as Captain America and Winter Soldier exited the Justice Jet ready to avenge the evildoers inside the ball.
The party goers that were still alive out on the streets began cheering heavily for the arrival of Captain America and Winter Soldier, as they all realized that help was finally here for them. "Ladies and gentlemen, I need you all to retreat from this area. Please, escape while you still can, and clear the windows. Don't worry, the others still trapped inside will be saved, and more agents will be arriving soon. For the ones who aren't suffering from injuries, please assist the ones who are, so that no one is left behind. Help the injured by seeking medical attention immediately," They all listened to Cap, and done what he asked of them by retreating from the area with those injured, so that everyone still alive had retreated to safety.
The windows cleared so that Captain America and Winter Soldier could enter inside the ball, and with his shield ready for action, along with Winter Soldier here to assist him, the two entered into the ball threw the one of the windows. Bodies were lying everywhere inside the ball, like a trail that was leading the two to the direct area of chaos proceeding where Cap witnessed allot of people still trapped inside who were terrified to say the least. Cap started spotting familiar faces left and right, as "The Star Spangled Man with a Plan" spotted Tony and Danii, then his eyes panned threw the ball closely where he suddenly spotted The God of Mischief, Loki.
Upon seeing The God of Mischief here at the ball, Cap quickly realized that he was the one causing all this havoc, then there was a bigger fellow wearing a mask that Cap had never seen before, but he looked like someone who craved havoc as well. Cap approached the center of the party where he could gain everyone's attention. "This ends now," He spoke aloud, so that everyone could hear him. Cap gripped his shield tightly in his right hand, and with Winter Soldier standing next to him, the two were ready for a fight. "But let the avenge commence," What came next was yet to be determined, but Captain America was ready for anything, because regardless of what happens, these remaining people who were still alive were going to be saved. I need someone to show me the things in life that I can't find I can't see the things that make true happiness, I must be blind [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: B8B8B8; border: #550505 solid 4px; width: 400px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;]
In his drunken state, it was taking Tony an unusually long time to realize what exactly was going on. Like a movie playing in slow motion, all the sound seemed to be muffled in his ears and the images passed by slowly, until realization finally struck and everything sped up at the speed of light and the screams reached his ears. Damn. Was he ever allowed to just get drunk and have fun anymore?
But his thoughts were quickly shifted from himself to... well, his face. Because Danii Washington, his not-really-a-sister-but-sort-of-a-sister (what did you call those strange creatures anyway? Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants came to mind...) felt it necessary to walk directly up to him and slap the shit out of him.
Well. That was certainly sobering. Tony cursed and stumbled away from her, his sunglasses flying to the floor. "Bitch!" He hollered. "Those glasses were two hundred-" But his words were cut short when he noticed a bar stool coming straight at his face. The Man of Iron instinctively dropped to the ground to avoid getting hit with it before watching the stool suddenly get snagged away by very familiar webbing. So. The web-slinger had shown up. And apparently Susan Storm as well, although her shields didn't seem to be a match for Loki's "magic" or whatever the hell he called it.
Drunk or not, Stark's brain always worked. And now, as he crouched on the floor taking in all of the chaos and action around him, he calculated everything. Chances of survival. Tactics to take Houdini down most efficiently. How to get people out.
It all happened in a manner of seconds as his thumbs were busy communicating with JARVIS on his PDA, alerting the military as well as the SHIELD hellicarrier of what was going on. Thank God that Pepper wasn't here.... And he really hoped she hadn't come in his place thinking that he would skip out on it again.
Fortunately Tony hadn't been drunk enough to leave his red-and-gold portfolio back in the limousine. It sat at his feet now, the bluish-white circle of light blinking twice before revving up. The metal climbed onto his feet as he stood up, encompassing first his calves, then his thighs, up his torso and arms to shut over his head, arc reactor and eye lights burning brightly as the shards of glass came straight at him and the people around him.
"I don't know. I think the heroes do a pretty good job of helping people," he replied to Loki's response to Danii. Tony lifted his hands and blasted the shards out of the air before they could slice into the people standing around him. Then he marched forward, suit clanking and metal scraping across the ground the whole way, until he stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Spider-Man, his own body between Loki and the innocent people scrambling to get away.
"You know, if you really wanted to see me again, you could have just invited me to dinner," he quipped to the demi-god, his nonchalant, joking manner easily and expertly hiding the desperation and anger that was bubbling just below the surface. Before he had time to continue, however, someone else came bursting through the door.
Tony's HUD showed him who it was without having to turn around (a new feature he'd just installed into his latest version of the hot-rod red and gold Iron Man suit). Bane. Tony'd only read about him a bazillion times in the Gotham Gazette. Yes, he did actually read the newspaper.
But just as quickly as Bane had arrived, the Boy in Blue himself showed up. Captain America... and some kid Tony had yet to meet, were standing very close to the Man of Iron. Tony grinned inside of his helmet. "Always late to the party, right Cap? At least you didn't wait around seventy years this time." He shrugged good-naturedly although the expression that his mask constantly wore was one of contained rage. His shoulders opened up, metal flaps rising to reveal the sets of miniature missile-like weapons sitting comfortably in their positions, aimed at Loki. Two panels on the outsides of his knees opened up as well, with the same kinds of weapons. Hands raised, his palms lit up as the repulsors got ready to fire. Two panels on the outsides of his thighs rose with their own weapons, and two red lasers danced on Loki's forehead from the targeting systems in Iron Man's wrists. All of these weapons were ready to fire at a moment's notice. All Loki had to do was give Tony that notice.
"Spidey. Priority one is getting these people away from Loki," he said, under his breath, to the Human Spider standing next to him. "Then we kick his ass."
But just then a blast of energy came from the side and Tony held his fire for a moment longer as JARVIS threw up diagnostics and diagrams for the weapon that had just fired, the effect it was supposed to have, and the damage it would cause. The person holding onto the weapon was obviously a SHIELD agent. But even so... Tony didn't want to take any chances. He fired all of his weapons at Loki anyway.
After all, the Cap could take care of Bane. Loki was way more of a threat.
