Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

This wasn't good. It wasn't good at all. This isn't happening. This isn't happening Wally kept saying to himself inside his head trying to convince himself that he was wrong. This just couldn't be happening. Wally had been following a stringent of murders of small time heroes. And he was terrified. Not because of who he thought it was. No . . . but what he thought he would have to do. He wasn't completely sure he had it in him . . . but he'd do it if it came down to it. He had to. He had watched too many people close to him die. Sure it wasn't in this universe and nobody knew about what had happened . . . but still . . . he couldn't watch anyone die. Even if it meant killing her. Sure she'd be dead, but everyone else would be alive. The world would be saved. For some reason as he told himself just that it felt like a small consolation for losing a great and old friend like Raven. HE had seen this all before and all signs pointed to the last thing he hoped it was. Pride. Raven's demonic, evil, bad side. Whatever you wanted to call it. Wally didn't believe it was Raven of course. No . . . that wasn't Raven. He knew Raven. She was one of his oldest friends.
Wally had been running around the world looking everywhere for Raven. Or Pride if his assumptions were right. He really just hoped someone was trying to make it look like it was Pride. Make it look like Raven had turned. Still . . . he wasn't taking any chances. He had stopped at Titans Tower and retrieved a special artifact Raven had left him. She had left each of the Titans with something powerful enough to kill her or Pride if it ever came down to it. This was it. His contingency plan. Or well, Raven's contingency plan. He hadn't consulted the Teen Titans of what he planned to do. He couldn't risk them talking him out of this. Of killing her if it came down to it. He wasn't sure if they had it in them. He had at least, used a communicator to contact each of the Teen Titans, Titans and honorary Titans and voice his suspicions to them. He would call for help. But he wasn't going to have a vote on this. If it needed to be done . . . it'd be done.
Wally finally found them. Sinestro was their already. And his fears were correct. It was none other than Pride. He was glad Sinestro was there. Was it weird that somebody was lad Sinestro was there? It felt a bit strange. But he was glad the Green Lantern was there. Green Lantern power rings were one of, if not the, strongest weapons in the universe. But even more than that, he knew that if it came down to it, Sinestro would do what needed to be done if it came down to it. Wally hid all of the emotion he could. He had gotten quite good at it. Of course, he could not hide all of his emotions at that moment. No matter how much he practiced, these emotions were powerful. Wally was going to try and get Raven back . . . but then something occurred to him . . . even with his speed . . . Wally wasn't sure he could get close to her . . . right now he had the element of surprise on his side. As long as she hadn't sensed any of his emotions at least. This might be the only chance he had. Wally threw himself through the air towards Raven's back by spinning his left arm at super speed creating a twister pushing him up. He lunged the mystical artifact that was a dagger infused with mystical properties at her.

Today she was going to take raven shopping, or maybe just hang out. Raven was Kara’s best friend, Raven taught Kara a lot and made her not so scared of scary movies. The young blonde walked in to titan tower and looked around. “Raven are you home?” the girl poked her head around everywhere looking for raven. Then she came up to ravens room door and knocked. “Raven is you sleeping? It’s Kara I wanted to know if you wanted to hang out?” but the door didn’t open. The tower was empty, not even a little sound other then Kara. The young girl made her way back out of the tower and headed away. Then Kara got a great idea, she would track raven down and see what she was doing. The young girl stopped in her tracks and looked at her bracelet and pulled up ravens tracking number. Once the bracelet picked up on Raven, Kara let out a smile and took to the skies. Following the gps her bracelet allowed Kara came upon the scene.
Raven was nowhere to be seen but instead it was Pride the other side of raven that she often warned Kara about, but Kara didn’t mind she knew that it was still raven, in a way. The young girl held back her needs to hug when she saw Sinestro, her father was their too, this was all looking great, then she saw Wally he looked distressed, maybe there was something Kara wasn’t seeing. What was going on with everyone and why were they fighting Pride/Raven. The young blonde looked at everyone in horror. It was clear that the young girl didn’t understand.

"THAT IS ENOUGH!"
The magically magnified voice boomed from nowhere, yet it could be heard everywhere. It wasn't an offensive gesture. It served to strike fear into the hearts of supernatural entities. Any demon who heard that voice, if they knew what was good for them, would abandon their practices and flee to their home plane. It was a voice that heralded a sorcerer so great, even the mighty demon Etrigan was fearful of his power (just a little bit). The arrival of this sorcerer had turned entire demonic armies around, almost destroyed the Cult of Blood, commanded respect from homo magi around the world and beyond it, and even posed a threat, albeit a minor one, to the instrument of divine vengeance. Doctor Fate was coming, and he was angry.
The great wizard was angry with himself. He should have anticipated that Pride would surface in the Raven child eventually, and acted to prevent it sooner. Still, there was no use crying over spilt demon blood. Actually, that was a terrible analogy. Spilt demon blood is something to cry over. Especially when one is working on a demon-banishing spell.
A great glowing ankh appeared in the air, and the form of the Sorcerer Supreme descended from it. Magic circles had formed around his hands and the Cloak of Destiny flapped in the wind, making him appear larger and more threatening. Underneath the helmet, it was hard to tell what he was feeling, but it was intense anger. He raised his hands. In a flash, Wally's magic dagger was in his hand. He teleported it away with a snap of his fingers. And again, he spoke. He spoke with great force and authority. If Pride had a shred of sense, she would back down immediately.
"FATE HAS INTERVENED!"

The Green Lantern had given up trying to understand what was happening around him- he didn't know how he had managed to get back into the real world, and he really didn't care. He was just thankful he was there. Standing, he made sure to straighten himself up, looking at Pride with every intent to stop her in his eyes. She may have liked to talk and really didn't seem that keen on taking any kind of real action, but that didn't mean she wasn't dangerous. If she suddenly decided to turn up the power, she was probably going to be much more of a challenge. That electric attack had been proof enough of that. The barrier he had been wearing had helped him power through it, but he had felt it rip at him even with his ring defending him. It had been tough just keeping himself from reacting to it- from screaming or getting knocked off his feet. Thankfully, though, he had managed not to lose focus, and it seemed as though he had even managed to wound the young girl in his assault. Good.
Panting softly, he moved a hand to his chest, which he found was hurting him fairly intensely. Was it because of the electric attack to his body, or did it have something to do with the attack also hitting his actual soul? to be honest, he didn't know where a soul was located in a human body- he hadn't really though of them as a real thing until he had seen his own.
Lowering his hand, he looked around him, aware that he was no longer alone as he stood there in front of Pride. A young speedster had arrived, as well as his own daughter, Kara. Though he looked annoyed on the outside, he was pretty happy to have the company with him.
If things got tough, he might need the extra man power so he could swoop in and finish things off. Though it seemed like the moment he thought that, he no longer needed to be concerned. Just as the musing finished playing through his mind, Fate popped in. As flashy as ever, too.
Typical.
"We seem to be having quite the party, here," Sinestro grumbled, looking from the kids to the... well, he didn't actually know what age Fate was, but he assumed somewhere around immortal. "It's good to see the lot of you- I was thinking I'd have to deal with this mess all on my own. I do hope one of you has a plan to stop Pride here?" Particularly without losing Raven in the process, but he didn't voice that concern out loud. He was supposed to be the one who wasn't afraid to go the extra mile- to kill if it needed to be done. And he would, too, if there was no other option. However, these days, it wasn't his immediate response to leap to murder. Maybe there was another way.
And maybe someone in the room would know it. His eyes found themselves locked on the man who could see everyone's fate but his own. If anyone would know what to do, it would be the magic guy.

Was it not dreadful enough to kill a friend who had refused a generous offer? Now it seemed that a quick attack would not do the trick. A delicate hand rubbed the deep cut on the arm that she had received from the green energy, feeling the warm blood wet her skin. Well, at least his attack certainly made it easier for the demon to choose to kill him.
Her soul-self began to rise from the dark teenager's form as she prepared to try and make the finishing blow but it was then that another presence was alerted to Pride as well as a strong magical item that was capable of killing her. Starting to turn, the soul-self moved back towards the demon - her only thoughts of escape. But her actions would take too long and the dagger would have plunged into her heart if it had not been for the actions of a certain magic user.
"THAT IS ENOUGH!" The presence of the dagger shifted and Pride teleported several metres away from the speedster, emotions swirling around the demon. She had escaped a certain demise but the voice and presence of Doctor Fate worried her. Was she strong enough to combat such a magic user? Or had the aged magician joined her side? After all; he had just saved her life. "FATE HAS INTERVENED!" Relief finally flooded Pride, along with a sense of victory and the demon took to the skies, a laugh rolling in her throat as the four red eyes took in the forms of all around her. Kara, Wally, Sinestro, Fate. What a merry bunch.
"You are a fool, Fate! In one misguided action, Wally would have destroyed me utterly! But instead you have saved me, could it be that you now understand my cause? That you are willing to join with me and help my father to take this universe!" |
[/b] Pride announced, relief at still being alive filling her and making the demon oblivious to the danger that Doctor Fate posed and the fact that she should be trying to escape. "We seem to be having quite the party, here, Head snapped round as Sinestro spoke and Pride narrowed her eyes. He still wasn't dead. "It's good to see the lot of you- I was thinking I'd have to deal with this mess all on my own. I do hope one of you has a plan to stop Pride here?" Eyes narrowed at Sinestro's words, Pride did not like being simply considered a mess. It offended her and it was dangerous to offend Pride. "You shall not stop me, Sinestro! You could have lived but you denied my generous offer!" The demon snarled. Turning to Wally and Kara, Pride's attention rarely left any one person for too long. "My fellow Titans, I warned you when I was blind but now I can see the truth! My father has promised me the Earth and the lives of my friends. Join me and we can rule the Earth, keep its people safe. We have dedicated so much to this planet is it not our right to rule for the good of the people?"[/b] Pride said, carefully focusing on the emotions of her two friends. She intended to bring out belief in her thoughts, desire to join her, strengthen the feelings of friendship between them. The demon was a master empath and she was pretty certain that she could do this without them noticing. With that said, Pride's soul-self was barely contained, ready for the kill at the first sign of trouble from any of the so called 'heroes' around her. Wally gritted his teeth after the initial surprise of left him, he had just been about to do what he had promised Raven. He could have ended it all. Her suffering and Trigons latest grasp for power. That demon sickened him. Trigon. Making his own daughter constantly suffer. Constantly holding her back. Putting such a strain on Raven. And he didn't care. Many of his fellow Teen Titans he had had on the team over the years had bad parents. Rose Wilson better known as Ravager came to mind immediately. Her father had been the Teen Titans archenemy, Deathstroke. But no matter how bad any of the other members parents were, none of them even came close to how bad a father Trigon was. And now he was trying to take Raven away again. Wally loved all the Teen Titans. They were family to him. And Raven was someone he had always been close with. But no. He was unable to do it. Because Doctor Fate decided to swoop in and save the day. Fate. Another person he had a bone to pick, trying to get Raven to murder one of her half-brothers and then refusing to help her. It infuriated him. And now he took away one of their only chances of ending this. Of saving the world. Of ending Ravens suffering Pride.
"You better have a good plan then, Fate," Wally tried to say with the least bit of anger and distaste in his voice. Though there was still some discontent in his voice. This was very hard on Wally and even though he was desperately trying to hide his emotions, they were still running quiet rampant. Raven would feel many conflicting things within Wally. Anger. Sorrow. Desperation. Pity. Fear for Raven. Disgust towards Pride. He had never viewed Pride as Raven. He had always viewed them. Two separate entities or people. But within him she would not sense a single emotion of wanting to side with her or come to her side. None what so ever.
"We've been over this before, Pride. You know I'd never side with you," Wally said with anger in his voice referencing the first time Pride had ever came about. "And you're not[/] Raven. Raven is disgusted by the mere thought of you and her father and wouldn't side with either of you if it came down to life or death. I know for a fact that Raven prefers death over you." Wally looked at Pride. He felt terrible. He had just tried to kill her without trying to save Raven. Part of him knew that Raven would have wanted him to do it if he had the chance rather than give Pride the chance she needed. But still, Raven was one of his closest and oldest friends, the second to last thing he wanted to happen here was lose her. The only thing that trumped it was he didn't want Pride and Trigon to succeed. He knew what it could spell if they did. Wally looked at Sinestro. He figured the man had probably already thought about having to end Raven and Pride. "If it comes down to it . . . I've gotta do it. I promised her." Wally said it simply and to the point. The essence of the jovial man he was had disappeared at this point. He showed the serious side of him he had developed in the other universe. It would be easier to let Sinestro do it. He knew Sinestro's history and that he was more than capable of doing it if it came down to it. But he couldn't let it end that way. He had promised he'd do it. And it wouldn't feel right to him unless he did it. Not that he wanted to. But it was his responsibility. His eyes turned to Pride.
"What? You think because I no longer have the dagger, that because you may have Fate on your side, that you've won, Pride? Rae and I were close, very close, but there are things that I never shared with her. You don't know what I can do and I can assure you that dagger wasn't my only contingency plan." Wally's face was solemn, grim and serious. The usually grin of the jokester had disappeared and had been replaced by a small, serious and flat frown. If it came down to it, if he really had to, he'd go faster and drag her into the speed force with him. It would probably spell the end of both of them, but it would end Ravens suffering and stop Trigon. He wouldn't say it, but he was very frightened of the speed force. Of going that fast. Of what could happen. He wasn't even sure of his won abilities. He wasn't sure he even had a limit on his speed anymore. And that, that freaked him out. Wally looked at her soul self and then back at Raven. "You can't win here, Pride. Put away the bird and back down. Come back to use, Rae. Come back. Think about it. Even if you have Doctor Fate on your side, you can't win. Neither of your so called magic is powerful enough to take down a kryptonian, a green lantern and myself."

"We do not desire to join you, spawn of Trigon." Fate said, his voice still pealing like a great bell within the golden helmet. "And we have every intention of destroying you." His eyes narrowed within the helmet's slits. "But we cannot. You have hold over a soul so true and innocent that she will fight you with everything she has. Observe." He raised his hands and a projection of Raven appeared in midair. She was bound in hefty iron chains. Her form flickered and wavered, but her face was one of absolute determination. Fate had seen her true soul.
"You may keep a hold over her body, but you will never destroy her soul!" Fate boomed. "And fear not, Wallace West. By the end of this confrontation, we will have resolved our conflict." The dagger wouldn't have had much of an effect to begin. Raven was too modest. She underestimated her own potential. It would have only been a scratch. Nothing the most powerful child of Trigon couldn't shake off. What Fate had in mind had a little bit of a bigger effect. He couldn't kill Pride without killing Raven, and he didn't want to do that.
"Rachel Roth..." it was the first time he had used her true name. Names were power, after all. "I can sense you fighting her. Do not fear. This will all be over soon." He outstretched his hands, palms facing forward. The ankh shape appeared on both of his palms, and at the same time, seven other ankhs materialised in the air, surrounding Pride. Golden lines jetted from the bases of the shapes, interconnecting with each other to form a magic circle. "I can see you, Pride. I see your future. Everything about you, magical or otherwise and I bind you!"

This young kryptonian didn’t really understand what was going on but she was sure that she would fallow whatever Sinestro and Wally did. Although she could feel something telling her that Pride was right but she knew better then to believe the small voice in her head, she always listened to the really loud one that had always happened to sound like better ideas then the bad ones. “Fighting a kryptonian can hurt….a lot.” Looking over at Sinestro Kara smiled. “Sin you are never alone, we will always be here to help you out.” Looking twords fate he kind of scared her a bit, he yelled and she didn’t like that, she was also unsure of who he was and what he did.
The blonde stayed quite and watched everyone and kept her mood in a happy go lucky mood, hoping that the happy moods would cheer up rae and help her out. Kara liked raven and would protect her, even if the others wanted to kill her she would try her hardnest not to let raven die. She was not good with deaths or even goodbyes, she hated them they were not one of the things she found happy feelings for and it was always hard for the girl to say goodbye. ~come on rave I know you can win. You are the best person out there always so loving and kind.~ the blondes thoughts made her smile even more.

Sinestro wasn't really sure what he was supposed to be doing with himself. It didn't seem like his brand of justice was going to be needed. Even if fate hadn't shown up, she just didn't seem like the kind of villain who needed to be killed to be stopped. She seemed kind of... placid for some kind of supposed super power. Still, she liked to talk, he could give her that much, and he supposed attacking his very soul had left him feeling very strange. He wondered if that kind of thing ever really healed- would it come back to bite him in the ass later? Maybe, but he wasn't going to worry about it. mostly because he didn't worry about anything, most of the time.
Showing fear was not his kind of thing. He had very few fears in his life, anyway, and dying wasn't one of them. As a Green Lantern, he had trained himself not to be afraid of such an outcome- it was an inevitability for him.
Sighing softly, he rubbed the back of his neck, wondering if he really needed to be there. Of course he wasn't going to go anywhere, but what was he doing? His emotions probably weren't kind enough to help, and he wasn't fighting the girl, either. He was just kind of... there.
At least Fate seemed to know what he was doing. With his help, and his so-called magic, they would probably be able to win the battle without anyone losing their life. That included Raven herself.
He just wanted her back to normal so they could put the whole mess behind them. It wouldn't be so easy for her, probably, so if they could do it without her causing them anymore harm, than they could at least ease the burden.
He looked at Kara, smiling faintly. "You're doing well," he told her, "you should keep thinking positive things- strong, happy emotions worked to help heal her when she was her normal self. Maybe they'll help her fight off this Pride being if you keep up hope." It wouldn't be hard for someone like Kara- she was a ball of happiness and joy. If those kinds of feelings did have a chance of having some kind of an effect on Pride, then they had brought the right person with them for the job.
Casually, his gaze shifted from Kara to Wally, whom he watched without saying a word. He looked concerned, though it was hard to say for sure what was going on in his head. Maybe he just didn't want to have to kill someone who was also a team member.
Sinestro was starting to think that, for sure, it wasn't going to come to that.

The only one Pride thought was a threat was the mystical Doctor Fate. She put much faith in the demonic powers that she had inherited from her father and disregarded the threat that Wally, Kara and Sinestro also posed. They were science not magic and it was magic that would be able to stop her father's ascent. "We've been over this before, Pride. You know I'd never side with you, And you're not Raven. Raven is disgusted by the mere thought of you and her father and wouldn't side with either of you if it came down to life or death. I know for a fact that Raven prefers death over you." Red eyes narrowed as Wally spoke his angered words, everyone still kept Pride and Raven separated. How could they not see the truth. "Maybe when I was blind I would have thought death better but my eyes are open now! Open yours and understand as I do!" |
[/b] Pride demanded, her voice loud as she tried to convince her friends to join her instead of die. "Life and death, good and evil, they are all just partners! You may see yourselves as white and myself as black, but that does not mean that we are not the same! And if you cannot see this then you must sadly die."[/b] Pride said, giving her final warning. "But we cannot. You have hold over a soul so true and innocent that she will fight you with everything she has. Observe." For once Pride was silenced as she stared at the projection, cocking her head as she considered the form before her. It couldn't be. She was Raven was she was free! Not bound. "You lie!"[/b] Pride growled at the sorcerer, her eyes glaring at him. "What? You think because I no longer have the dagger, that because you may have Fate on your side, that you've won, Pride? Rae and I were close, very close, but there are things that I never shared with her. You don't know what I can do and I can assure you that dagger wasn't my only contingency plan." Pride's head snapped to look at Wally and the demon growled. Very well, they all wanted death. Anger and hatred would make her soul-self strong and Pride began to readily feel those emotions. Anger at them for being ignorant, hatred at them for standing in her way. They would die today and their deaths would go to help return her father to his throne! No matter what contingency plan Wally had - it would be no match for her power. The power that the daughter of Trion had. "You may keep a hold over her body, but you will never destroy her soul! And fear not, Wallace West. By the end of this confrontation, we will have resolved our conflict." They still had the belief that they would win but Pride would not allow that. "You shall be dead by the end of this!"[/b] Pride announced, focusing on trying to force despair on the gathering. This time she would not be subtle - she would attempt to use this despair to crush their spirits. "Rachel Roth... I can sense you fighting her. Do not fear. This will all be over soon." Why did he use that name? how did he know that name? Pride was aware of the power that names had and she did not like the use of it. "You can't win here, Pride. Put away the bird and back down. Come back to use, Rae. Come back. Think about it. Even if you have Doctor Fate on your side, you can't win. Neither of your so called magic is powerful enough to take down a kryptonian, a green lantern and myself." Pride growled, showing her teeth to Wally. He was not going to get her blind again and without emotion. She enjoyed this too much! Just then the golden ankhs of Fate arose and Pride hissed, raising her soul-self - full of hatred - up against the light. “Fighting a kryptonian can hurt….a lot.” She heard Kara's words but Pride knew that magic was effective against them and she had not intent of getting into a physical fight. Just as soon as she got out of the golden light she would deal with them. "You're doing well, you should keep thinking positive things- strong, happy emotions worked to help heal her when she was her normal self. Maybe they'll help her fight off this Pride being if you keep up hope." Still with her soul-self wrapped around her, Pride's attention flickered to Sinestro as he spoke. This situation was turning from bad to dangerous. "I can see you, Pride. I see your future. Everything about you, magical or otherwise and I bind you!""NO! I SHALL NOT BE BOUND!"[/b] Pride shouted, unleashing her soul-self and giving a final shove of despair towards the gathered heroes. They would know pain and loss before they died. They would stop wanting Raven back, they would cease to be thorns in her side. She had no idea whether her soul-self would be strong enough to break through Doctor Fate's magic but she was no longer held back by a lack of emotion and a sense of morals. Fate was stronger than he looked. Within the body of the frail old man beat the heart of the greatest sorcerer in the world. And the greatest sorcerer in the world would not be defeated by a mere child who had lost control of her emotions. He was a Lord of Order. He was a doctor of archaeology. He was the seer of the future. He was Doctor Fate, and Doctor Fate always won, no matter the circumstances. Such was the rule of the Lords of Order. He would keep order. He would bring the daughter of Trigon to heel.
Pride's attack was strong. Indeed, he could feel his binding spell straining from the sheer force. He himself was protected by powerful shielding magics. He didn't have to worry about his own well-being just yet. What mattered, however, was the binding spell, and bringing it back up to full strength. Fate knew that thinking the spell wasn't enough this time. He needed to add words. Words were power. They would bolster the spell against any future...outbursts from Pride.
"Kuldr, rïsa lam iet un malthinae unin böllr." he began to chant. The ankhs and lines between them glowed ever brighter. "Atra du evarínya ono varda, Däthedr-vodhr. Atra esterní ono thelduin, Trigon Shur'tugal. Atra guliä un ilian tauthr ono un atra ono waíse sköliro fra rauthr. He could feel the spell strengthening, the light getting ever brighter. Even he had to close his eyes due to the powerful lights. Still, he continued to feed the spell with his constant spell chanting. "Kuldr, rïsa lam iet un malthinae unin böllr. Atra du evarínya ono varda, Däthedr-vodhr. Atra esterní ono thelduin, Trigon Shur'tugal. Atra guliä un ilian tauthr ono un atra ono waíse sköliro fra rauthr. Kara stood in position, there was no way she was leaving. And her thoughts of happiness just started to over fill her mind. The day raven showed her the Titan tower they had talked. “Raven, Titans together, Titans forever!” the young girl mumbled, remembering something about it in the tower, it was on a picture of the team before Kara was even on earth. “Raven, did I say it correctly.” The blonde closed her eyes, the light was bright and it hurt even the kryptonian eyes.
She the thought of the time she hit the wall in Titan Tower and she started to laugh. Chris had thought she was weird and Wally was going to race her one day. “Raven was so kind to me when I met her, taught me how to eat human food, and what a fork and spoon was, we have to save her, she’s my best friend. We still have a lot to do.” The blonde peeked her eyes open to look at the others, hopefully they were willing to save her best friend, after this she was going to spend the day with raven, She owed her best friend a lot.
The light was just getting brighter and kara closed her eyes once more. “Why is it so bright. I cant see anything.” The girl was confused, it wasn’t like ravens magic it was bright and eye painful. She was really confused on the whole idea of magic. Kara pushed out more happy loving , amazing emotioned feelings to try and help Raven out.~we wont give up on you rave, your part of my ohona, and ohana means family and family means no one gets left behind or forgotten~
