Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

The young man seemed highly frustrated with the disappearing act his battery had just undergone. Sinestro was sure it was probably the first time he’d seen a pocket dimension. Good- let him stand their in a little awe and start to realize his mistake of letting a red ring fall on his finger. Such unrefined strength. He was lucky Sinestro had come across him, and not any other lantern. He would not have been left alive if someone from his corps had found him, or someone of another color. And he would have been arrested by anyone in green. Really, Sinestro liked to think of himself as something of a life-saver for this misguided fool.
He was such a good person.
“Don’t worry, it’s safe. For now,” Sinestro remarked absently, watching the other with his arms crossed over his chest in a very smug sort of victory pose, “and yes, I’m very aware of what happens to red lanterns when their rings die. Does that frighten you? But I’m not looking to enjoy the show while you suffer and die a slow, painful death. Actually, I’m going to help you out a bit.” He moved closer to the other, standing in front of him once more. Still he had his arms crossed over his chest, as though he didn’t actually care if the other tried to attack him- there wasn’t an ounce of concern on his face or in his movements.
“I will take you back to earth, where I will be able to keep an eye on you. If you conserve your energy well, and keep from melting off innocent’s faces, then I may allow you to charge your ring every now and again to keep you alive and grant you some freedom to explore the planet. If you can’t keep your vomit in check, then I’ll kill you and be done with it. Really, it matters so little to me either way I have to wonder why I’m even bothering at all.” He was being a jerk, but… he enjoyed that.
“You task will be simply to roam the planet. Experience it. And, of course, do my bidding whenever I call for you, but you didn’t honestly think there wouldn’t be at least some work involved, did you?” He knew he was potentially putting the earth at risk, but somehow… he imagined it was for the best. After all, the miserable back water world had managed to help him see the light. Who knows what it might do for the red lantern? He was not beyond help, as the others were. Perhaps… something could be done for him.
Not that he was ever going to make that plan perfectly clear. Razer would never grow if he thought he was TRYING to be changed. It would have to come naturally. Unexpectedly, for the red lantern.
Sinestro, meanwhile, would enjoy the show no matter what route it took. Even if the guy ended up finding a way to fully charge his ring and run rampant on the streets of earth, at least it would be entertaining.
He was changing- he wasn’t done growing JUST yet, and still could not deny how amusing it was when humans screamed.
“Or I could leave you here and you can wallow and die. I really don’t care. Just seems like a better option to listen to me, doesn’t it?” He could even modify the ring if he wanted to- he knew how to reprogram rings of any nature. Make it so it would only charge a certain percent, or so that he would be limited in what he could do with it. But... only if things got out of hand.
He wanted to give his newest pet SOME freedom.

Razer continued to glare at Sinestro, anger boiling as he gloated at his imminent death by power loss. He would not dignify the arrogant Lantern's taunts by showing fear. He had heard the stories, he had heard how Red Lanterns died when their ring failed to pump blood throughout their bodies, suffocating despite their lungs being full of whatever it was they breathed. He did not wish for such an end. He had wanted to die fighting...
"But I’m not looking to enjoy the show while you suffer and die a slow, painful death. Actually, I’m going to help you out a bit.”
Razer's eyes widened, and his face betrays his surprise. He had expected being killed, expected being imprisoned, expected all manner of things, but help was not one of them. Especially help from a foe he still felt so much anger and hatred for.
"And what makes me think I want your help?" Razer replies, through clenched teeth. He still had pride, even if it had been wounded as much or more than his body had. But he knew the alternative, and bit back any further retorts. Those could wait.
Razer pondered the nature of Sinestro's arrangement. It was an imprisonment, of sorts. And it was also servitude. He would remain at the Green Lantern's mercy, and would be forced to be confined to one planet. He would be unable to rejoin Atrocitus. As far as things went, there were worse things that he could be bound to, but not many. Especially when the threat of death continued to hang over his shoulder like an executioner's blade.
At the very least, being kept prisoner by a powerful Green Lantern might be a worthy enough excuse to avoid Atrocitus' wrath.
"You do not leave me much of a choice, Green Lantern. If you believe some miserable backwater planet would be a suitable prison for me, then so be it. But I will have my vengeance for this..."
Razer couldn't understand why Sinestro was showing him such mercy, but he could use it. He would bide his time, wait for the opportune moment, and either fight or flee when a chance presented itself to him. He would suffer this indignity only so long as he was forced to.
"My ring tells me where this planet you speak of is located. I do not have the energy to make the journey myself. Either allow me to recharge, or pull me there yourself. It makes no difference to me."

Want his help? No, he supposed the red lantern didn’t WANT his help. But it wasn’t about what Razer wanted, it was about what he needed. This guy needed a bit of perspective. He had a feeling the man had lost everything and was then found by the power of rage. He had probably felt like it was the only path left for him, much as Sinestro had thought order was the only thing he could continue with after his own wife had died. Maybe it was useless to try and help someone with a red ring, but it seemed… beneficial to at least try. And if it didn’t work, well, perhaps it would at least provide some interesting moments along the way. In the end, he didn’t know what he hoped to gain from the whole thing, but he was struck with the idea that it was something he needed to do.
Maybe it was a ‘hero’ thing.
Razer claimed he would have his revenge, but it only seemed to make Sinestro smile. He liked it when people were plucky enough to try and threaten him, especially when he knew it was useless. “Aw, I’m sure you’ll learn to love it there- don’t be so cranky.” Like that could really be avoided, what with the rage ring and all.
“Oh, you want a lift? Of course.” He had known the red lantern didn’t have enough charge to get to earth, but that was fine- his ring was perfectly suited for travel, and he could bring a guest with him if he wanted to. So he pointed the ring at Razer, promptly shooting him with a beam instead of picking him up. “oh, my mistake- I suppose I thought we were still fighting,” he teased lightly, using his ring to lift Razer up. A red lantern with a green glow around him. How amusing.
And a little wrong.
He took his new captive back to earth, the journey a relatively quiet one all things considered. Once they were moving through space, he seemed to switch into work mode, and his sarcastic comments came to an end. It wasn’t until they touched down on a field out in the middle of no where that his attitude seemed to return. Perhaps he had spent their time traveling thinking about just what he was getting himself into. It was like taking care of a wild animal. Anything he did, now that he was officially on earth, would rest on Sinestro’s shoulders.
He dropped the man from a couple feet up, letting him get his first taste of earth’s gravity. Hopefully it would be different from what he was used to- he loved to watch his new recruits struggle with basic things.
“Alright, Red, welcome to earth. Try not to set it on fire.”
