Personality: ODIN IS THE GREATEST FATHER IN THE UNIVERSE.
…Okay, maybe he has some flaws. Like his inability to emotion at all, or his “tough love”, or the fact that he sort of has a Zeus-complex. But mostly Odin does actually care quite a lot. He cares about Asgard and his family and only does what he thinks is best for them. Unfortunately, sometimes he's wrong- which he refuses to believe sometimes. He's incredibly stubborn. Frigga, you got your hands full, girl.
But on the flip side of all of that, Odin is incredibly wise. He has a “vast knowledge of ancient and arcane wisdom”. He's also a fair and just ruler. Both of these things have made him a great and loved king on Asgard. He sees the futility in battle and prefers to avoid war if possible. But, if it's not avoidable, he's gonna beat your ass into the ground.

Powers:
-Superhuman strength: Odin's bones and muscles are extremely dense, making him very heavy and able to lift massively heavy objects. He can lift about 60 tons at present, but in his prime he was able to lift upwards of 90.
-Superhuman healing/invulnerability: Again, his body is dense and therefore invulnerable to many different kinds of weapons and punctures, especially Midgardian ones. He does not tire easily either, due to the slower rate of lactic acids in his muscles. Being Asgardian means that his metabolism is higher and therefore his ability to heal is faster and better than a mortal's.
-Long lived: Odin is extremely old and isn't planning on dying anytime soon (SORRY LOKI).
-The Odinforce: This supernatural force allows Odin to increase the strength of his natural abilities, increase the strength of his weapons, and make him able to perform supernatural feats such as portal-hopping, manipulating the molecular properties of matter, mind-reading, weapon-enchanting, and many other things. The Odinforce cannot be overused, however, or else it will drain Odin. He also needs to recharge the force by going into an Odinsleep that can last anywhere from 24 hours to a couple of weeks depending on how badly he needs recharged. The Odinsleep is typically a once-a-year event, but lately it has been happening more and more often.
Weapons
-The enchanted spear, Gungnir, is his main weapon at the present time. It is crafted from the metal, uru, and used to channel Odin's might.
-He has used the power scepter, Thrudstok, before and still owns it. This is the scepter that Loki stole when he was in power over Asgard for a short time during Thor's exile.
-Odin is well-versed in all types of weaponry and hand-to-hand combat.
-The Odinsword, or “The Over Sword of Asgard”. No touchy. He'd rather avoid the end of the universe, thank you very much.
Strengths/Abilities:
-Extremely intelligent/wise.
-One of, if not the best warrior in Asgard.
-Master tactician/combatant.
-Skilled at using his powers.
Weaknesses:
-
-Old: Odin is advanced in age and not quite as spry as he used to be. This could hinder him in battles with younger Asgardians or beings of equal or greater power.
-Indignation: Once Odin has set his mind on something, little can sway his decision. While he operates on what he thinks is best, sometimes his decisions backfire.
-Love: Odin has stated before that love is the one force that he has no control over as it is the “universal equalizer”. Odin, himself, has fallen prey to love before many times.

History:
Odin was born the son of Bor and Bestla. He became King of Asgard after his father's (and two brothers') passing, absorbing their essences in order to help him rule. He fought many battles, including against the Frost Giants of Jotunheim, where he (presumably) killed their leader, Laufey.
Soon after this, he discovered a Frost Giant baby and, believing the babe to be Laufey's son and thinking that perhaps this was Odin's opportunity to unite Asgard and Jotunheim, Odin took the baby back to Asgard to be raised Asgardian. He and his current wife, Frigga, named the babe Loki, and Odin believed he would be the key to uniting Jotunheim and Asgard, being half of each race.
However, Odin always held suspicions about Loki and while the young prince was loved dearly by his adoptive father, Odin still could not bring himself to fully trust the boy. Instead, Odin's eldest son Thor became the object of his eye (no pun intended). As Thor grew, Odin could not help but feel immense pride for his son and fully believed Thor would succeed him to the throne of Asgard.
While Loki was living in the shadow of his brother and Thor was the gleaming morning star, Odin's third son was born: Balder. There was a prophecy about Balder stating that the boy's death would bring about Ragnarok, or the end of Asgard, so out of fear of the prophecy and concern for his child, Odin had Frigga cast spells to protect Balder from any harm. While he did this, however, Odin also made Balder grow up believing that he was not royalty but instead, just one of Odin's best warriors. Odin was always loving and caring toward Balder but feared if anyone knew he were a prince, assassination attempts would be made on his life and the prophecy would be fulfilled.
Finally the three younglings grew up and it was time for Thor's coronation. But before it could happen, Frost Giants attacked Asgard in an attempt to steal back the Casket of Ancient Winters. After defeating these fiends, Thor and Loki took it upon themselves to wage war with Jotunheim, resulting in a tragic battle on Jotunheim and Loki discovering his true parentage before Odin had a chance to explain things to him.
Out of anger, concern for the well-being of Asgard, and to teach his eldest son a lesson (after all, the whole thing was sort of Thor's fault), Odin cast Thor out of Asgard and onto Midgard to remain, exiled, until he'd learned what it truly meant to be a king. Shortly after this, Odin was confronted by Loki demanding an explanation for his Frost Giant heritage, but the stress of the battle and exile of Thor was too much for Odin. He fell into the Odinsleep and remained for quite some time.
During this, Loki took it upon himself to claim the throne of Asgard and also to try and destroy his brother on Midgard. When Odin finally awoke, he learned of Loki's activities and the battle that raged outside his walls. He tried to stop the fight, but was too late. Thor had managed to save Jotunheim, but Loki was lost to them.
Odin had feared his middle son dead until Heimdall saw the events taking place on Midgard that required Thor's attention. Odin was opposed to letting his son travel back to the realm. He felt that Earth should be able to handle itself. But Thor's love for Midgard and the mortals led to the prince traveling back to the realm to defeat Loki.
Now that Odin knows Loki is not dead, he realizes everything he ever feared about the boy is coming to pass. Loki will not be a unifying force between Asgard and Jotunheim. He is a threat and must be dealt with as such.
