Kaleo "Predator" Hunter
Survival. It is the only thing that is the true drive of any living creature.
.....................................................................
Full Name: Kaleo "Predator" Hunter
Code Name: Hunter. He has been called many other things, such as Hunt, Kal, Predator, Project 1136, pathogen, parasite... lots more.... Most just call him Hunter though.
Age: 20, but seems to be 25.
Date of Birth: July 18th
Sexual Orientation: Bi
Species: Mutant
Alliance: Allied to no one. Anti-hero.
Citizenship: Marvel
Canon or Original?: Original
"Victory is MINE Baldy!
And if you had any hair I'd take that too!"
And if you had any hair I'd take that too!"
Hair: His hair isn't hair anymore. Deep, hair-thin, almost black, purple tendrils have replaced it. They are preferred to be drawn short, almost touching the base of the neck, but will change length and color as disguises are taken. When the virus decides to take command, or see through his own eyes, the entire eye will turn a discolored, grungy, sulfur yellow, iris and pupil not included.
Eyes: His eyes are also able to change shape and color, but his primary form has brown eyes.
Height: 6' 6".
Weight: 500 pounds (he doesn't look it, but because of the virus' density, he weighs more. He can change density at will to make himself heavier or lighter.)
Distinguishing Marks: He has a large barcode branded in the palm of his right hand.
Appearance: He had taken a pair of worn jeans, black athlete's shoes, and a cream-colored shirt complete with black jacket and hoodie. These also change with disguises, as they are now his skin instead of just seperate articles of clothing. He can change his attire at will as well, but figured he'd stay with the hoodie, since that's what he left the laboratory in. His build is of peak physical condition, Void Moon having expulsed any physical weaknesses he may have had in the past.
Face Claim: Tom Welling
"I’m not interested in making new friends,
I don’t even like the ones I have”
I don’t even like the ones I have”
Likes: Drawing, reading, watching TV, being left alone, and observing others.
Dislikes: Eating others, the virus he is infected with, getting bullied, stupidity, and bloated egos.
Personality: Hunter himself is rather quiet, more prone to keeping to himself rather than socializing with others. He won't hurt anybody even though he is a bit of a recluse. He'll listen to what people have to say. He'll help in solving problems. He still hasn't found his place on Earth, simply because his face is literally not his own from day one. He's fine with living, even though he's a copy of someone else. Something's holding him back.
It is not from this world.
Hunter's personality clashes constantly with the alien using him as its host. The creature itself is both a genius and instinct-driven, bent on mass xenocide, then spreading to other planets, like it had done over hundreds of times before. It knows what it wants, it knows how to get it, and it knows how to store and erase memories from those it had assimilated. That fact also makes it a veteran world-killer. Why has it not completely consumed its own host? Simple, because it is amused by his antics. The thing believes in exploring, expanding, exploiting situations and events... then eventually exterminating everything on the planet. It causes chaos, and reaps the benefits once chaos spreads.
Hunter cannot keep a secret about something, because the virus will know the secret too, and use it as blackmail. It will exploit and ruin reputations to sew the seeds of chaos. It doesn't care for anything... save its own survival. Essentially, Hunter's a little more than a talking puppet for it, and is a captive to it on a cellular level.
"With great power comes great responsibility"
Powers: Adaptive Hyper-Mutations. The virus is ever-changing, ever-shifting, and always deadly. It stores the more useful mutations, and discards the bad ones. The combat mutations include natural body armor, claws, blades, whips, shields, adapting resistance to damage, boneshooters (living rifles), and acid cannons. It includes hyper-regeneration (even going so far as to regenerate lost limbs, and to regenerate completely from getting cut up into meat cubes), contagious traits, and the consumption of living tissues.
Razor-keen senses (including thermal sight, night vision, and electro-receptor vision), extreme speed, extreme strength, and the ability to leap high and run up walls makes him a superb apex predator on Earth. The top of the food chain. The virus will get sudden jumps in mutations if it consumes another thing that already has a useful mutation. Example: If it consumes someone like Cyclops, it will keep his eye beams. Once living tissue has been assimilated, it can never be retrieved again. That DNA belongs to the creature. It is immune to all diseases on Earth, even empowered by them because they're tiny organisms to feed off of as well. Hunter can't get sick by anything on Earth.
Its metabolism has been optimized, and it can go for months without eating anything because it stores the energy. It is infectious when airborne, when fluid has been exchanged, and it can hitch a ride on popular pests to further expand and feed. If Hunter handshakes someone, they will not be assimilated or infected... unless the virus chooses to do so, and it will do so A LOT. The only thing holding the virus back from using its more heavier mutations is Hunter himself. If he surrenders more to the monster, more mutations will rise, including seismic spikes and Hive creation. It is even capable of a Hive Mind via a psychic connection, so whatever it mutates, is commanded by the "Primary Host". If something is completely compatible and can withstand the constant DNA shifting... will be mutated to look exactly like Hunter, minus the free will. This is to further hide the "Primary Host" from pursuers, and to help spread the pandemic.
The claws, blades, whips, and rifles can pierce through tank armor like cutting paper, and are covered in a chrome-colored chemical, which means they're infectious to the touch.
This doesn't mean that the creature lacks weaknesses. If any, the very fact that Hunter sinks like a rock in deep bodies of water has made him a hydrophobe. Being dense has its drawbacks. Electricity also attacks the nervous system directly, bypassing the virus' defenses and stunning both it and Hunter himself. It won't kill him though. Even getting hit by several lightning bolts will not kill him. It'll just keep him from doing anything.
High levels of radiation won't kill him either, but it will make the virus go crazy, mutating without control and no constraints. This gives Hunter the opportunity to control it himself, although he needs a lot of practice. It will only disrupt the virus, it won't kill it. There is no known cure... yet.
It even has a consumption problem. Despite its capability to store huge amounts of energy, if it runs low, it will go on a consumption spree. It will eat anyone and everyone with extreme prejudice. It only eats live tissue. It cannot process dead tissues.
Weapons: N/A. Uses mutations to fight back.
Strengths/Abilities: Adapting hyper-mutations, combat mutations, hyper-regeneration, peak senses, super strength, speed, stamina, and resilience against damage. Hive Mind capability. WARNING: Extremely contagious! Human infection rate: 300%! Mutant infection rate: 150%! Pursue with utmost caution!
Weaknesses: Hydrophobia, electricity, radiation, mass consumption sprees (if energy is low).

History: Kaleo Hunter was not born like normal people. He was secretly grown in a test tube from existing DNA samples (the head scientist of the project, but he was killed days after the cloning was declared a success) as a guinea pig for their newest project called Void Moon. The project was based off of strange rocks found on Mars' moon, Phobos. These rocks were housing a dormant alien life-form that was, later deemed, extremely contagious. It had the hardest-to-remove trait of a parasite, but the easily-infectious trait of a virus. The thing was a marvel, and they dubbed it the Void Moon Virus. All scientists involved first tested the Void Moon Virus on animals. It worked... to a point. They died off before it could make the animals break out of their containers to infect the people around them. They were unfit for its needs. They decided to try on many test subjects after finding out how to safely make the Void Moon Virus replicate by itself.
Many humans were mutated under the thrall of the extraterrestrial disease, ending up to be twisted abominations with an endless hunger and uncontrolled shape changing. The reason for that was the virus entered the bloodstream by the droves. They overwhelmed everything and got to work before the body had a chance to respond. It was also discovered that the parasite-virus was able to consume all types of pathogens on Earth, making it more dangerous than any illness anywhere.
The scientists had nearly given up until they tested on Hunter when he was ready. When the Void Moon Virus came into contact with the growing specimen, it bonded to him. It grew, and over ten years, turned child Hunter into an adult. The form it chose to take was already in the chromosomes, so it didn't have to work hard to get its new host a permanent primary form. His brain had grown with the alien, absorbing outside information through the virus itself with use of his sharpening senses. Hunter understood that he wasn't born, he was made. He didn't care. Hunter was more than happy to just be alive, even though the parents were a bunch of war-happy scientists that had all the toys money could buy. Void Moon Virus, though, had other plans.
It drilled through Hunter's weak mental defenses, and took control, sorely wanting out and wanting to feed, feed, FEED!
The scientists were the first to go, feeder tendrils slipping forward to engulf them in its new host's body. It wanted more, so it escaped out of the chamber and into the halls, where it ate the guards mercilessly. He finally broke through a break in the alien's iron will, getting control of himself before he brought the place down around him. The damage was still done. He had killed people. It was time to leave. Before he walked out, he managed to find some clothing in a guard's locker that fit him, as well as a wallet with a license in it. It read "Kaleo Hunter". He needed a normal name, not a number. All of the scientists had names, so why can't he have one? Adopting the name, he left the complex entirely, leaving bloody smears all over the walls where his victims had been.
Ten years later, he was still out and about, hiding in plain sight within the claustrophobic crowds of New York. After his little mishap with the military, he kept a low profile, occasionally changing disguises to keep them off his back. Hey, it wasn't his fault, it was Void Moon's! He was there when the Chitauri had attacked, and even had eaten a few when no one was watching. They were tasty, although had a slightly metallic aftertaste. He's always kept himself up to date with current events, as Void Moon continuously demanded that he do so. He had a hunch of what the viral alien was planning, but more questions rose than what were answered. Hunter intended to find a cure at whatever cost, and even if there wasn't a cure, he would be more than happy to take down the virus with him.

Writing Sample:
Hunter was not happy to say the least.
Pieces of tanks and choppers were scattered about, broken and useless. He was sure the drivers and pilots were all incinerated in their blasts. His blade arm de-shifted, twirling bio-mass unraveling and settling to just a regular arm. The whip arm did the same, the infected man still looking over the devastation that the viral creature had caused. Speaking of the creature, it was laughing within his head. It had done so when he killed those other people, and it is doing it again.
What's so funny?
The response was the same as before, yet it was still very unnerving to hear it, Everything. The humans attempt to stop us. They keep failing time and time again. Why do they resist?
Hunter mentally snapped at the little parasite, You are an invader, of course they will resist. Did you expect nothing less, creature? How many more must be eaten?
He thought he felt an invisible, malicious smile from Void Moon within the back of his brain, We expected a lot more than this, and as for how many more must be eaten? All of them.
You... are insatible!
The creature curtly agreed with him, then gave him a mental kick. That kick gave him a bit of a headache, which meant it was done talking to him. He had to leave before reinforcements arrived. He wandered into a nearby alley, still in the slum section of town, and warped a disguise when none were watching. He took the shape of a blonde male wearing a moth-eaten brown shirt and torn jeans. Hunter blended in with the rest of the bums in the city, dodging any military interactions and successfully avoiding any kind of pursuit or capture attempts. He had gotten lucky this time, but next time may not have the same luck.
