Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

For a moment, it seemed as though no one would step up and bid on him. Good- he didn't want to have to spend the day with some random human, anyway. It would be awkward for everyone, especially considering he would likely point out their fears on purpose just to make them all the more uncomfortable. He wondered how long he was going to have to wait before he was able to get off the stage and go do something else with his time. At least he had the ability to say he had attempted the whole mess- no one could hold it against him, right? Kara was there, he had heard her cheering in the audience, so she was fully aware of him participating. Good. She was supposed to enjoy it- that was mostly the whole point. Though his expression seemed locked in a permanent scowl, he was secretly glad that she seemed happy to have him there as well.
But he wasn't going to tell anyone.
When he heard the first bid, he was instinctively ready to single the person out and intimidate the hell out of them. However, when his yellow eyes found their way to the woman who had called out her offer, no ill will found its way to his sour expression. Eve- the one he had met after hacking off the limb of some unsuspecting thug- was the one who had bid on him. Well, at least he knew her, and he imagined it would be decidedly less awkward than being with someone completely foreign to him. Unless she was still mad at him for the whole 'flying her around just because he knew she was afraid of heights' thing. Then it was going to be as awkward as anything else.
Still, it was hard to deny that she looked good in her dress, so his thoughts couldn't stay serious. Auction thing aside, it was nice to see her again, thought for how long remained to be seen. He even managed to let his expression soften somewhat as he gave her a slight nod, though it was right back to miserable when another bid was called out. His ears twitched, and he looked at the young man who had just outbid the Amherst.
Now that was just unacceptable- didn't he know that he was trying NOT to be bid on? We was going to blame Eve for it- she clearly started the trend by making it okay to bid on him, despite how fearsome he looked.
He glared at the unknown man, his body language suggesting that he would literally rip the other's face off and wear it as a trophy if he continued to bid. Not that he could really stop him, but at least he could look unhappy about it. It seemed to amuse a couple of the braver audience members, who chuckled at his glare. Since they didn't have any meaning to him, he ignored them, grunting and turning his sights back towards Kara and Eve. Surely one of them would bid again, and save him from having to deal with some random human he didn't know, right?
Right?
(I'm not sure sinestro knows how this auction thing is supposed to work. >> )

Post by Dinah "Black Canary" Lance on May 14, 2013 18:54:32 GMT -5
DINAH LANCE BLACK CANARY "A friendly match between colleagues? I'd be there."
Black Canary's smile widened. She did love a good training session and against the Black Widow it was something to smile about indeed. A supremely well trained assassin against a fighter trained in almost every single form of martial arts with an excellent strategic mind. It'd be a match for the ages. Perhaps a little tournament between the Avengers and Justice League. It'd be a funny thing in itself for Oliver to come up against Hawkeye, the man who never misses. Oh there was a joke somewhere in there.
"I think we need to arrange this as soon as the Expo is over," Natasha said, nodding her head in agreement. "I've heard quite a bit about you and Green Arrow. I'd love to see how the two of you work opposite Clint and I." Her smile changed to one perhaps Widow would know herself. Ah, those were the days. Dinah found her thoughts going back to the Emerald Archer before she brought herself back to reality.
"I'll talk to Oliver as soon as I see him next. I'm sure he'd like to do it. Maybe we can even make it into something bigger." She said as she caught sight of blonde walking over towards. Mia! Dinah's mouth hung wide and her eyes were just about the same size. God, how long had it been? "Speedy! I didn't know you were going to be here." She exclaimed.
" So Mr. Shall not be named is not here? Do you know if he's coming tonight Canary?" Dinah's smile faltered a little and she blinked a few times.
"I have no idea, I hadn't given it much thought. I know he's back in town though." She said remembering the day he caught her off guard. Showing up to her shop with his scruffy face and nice suit. He looked more handsome than when she had last saw him though that wasn't something she wanted to think about for the moment.
"Doesn't it seem too peaceful? You'd imagine by now we'd have to have someone removed or had seen some ill-conceived attempt at destruction."
"Maybe they know it'd be dumb to try anything. But there are some pretty dumb ones..." She said as she scrunched her face.
"Good evening ladies and gentleman, Canary you're looking lovely this evening, all of you are in fact, I might have to consider bidding now."
"Oh stop, I'm sure quite a few women would be upset they missed out on Superman." Dinah shrugged in reply to his question. She wasn't too sure who all was going to show up but it seemed as if more and more superheroes were showing up. "Supes, Black Widow and I were just talking about some friendly competition... Then I had an idea of the Avengers and the Justice League could all do something." She looked hopefully and looked back to the other three for support.
It would be fun damnit!
"Well. Stark happened to be in Gotham and we ran into one another. I thought it was a good idea so I mentioned it to everyone else."
[/color] She replied as she looked to the stage to see who it was he bid on. Dinah's mouth hung open which she covered with her hand. The glare Sinestro was sending him was quite hilarious. She laughed and she laughed hard. She had a mission with Thaal not too long ago that had turned out to be a case of stolen mutants. Whoever got him to get up on that stage deserved what ever they wanted. "Woooo!" Dinah exclaimed with her thumbs up in cheering him on. "He should wiggle a hip or eyebrow or something." She said as she tilted her head to the right. She heard the quick voice of Wally West and instantly her head turned. "You had to wait that long for pizza? Was it good at least?"[/color] She asked as she placed her hand on her stomach. She was a little hungry. Though his next question was one she had forgotten. "Batman better show up. Or I swear I'm going to kick his ass all over his cave." She said. Everyone here really did have better things to do and if Bats thought his shit was better, well he'd have a lecture from Dinah. Oh he would. "... You're still pretty naked." Dinah said as she looked to Captain America, blue eyes snaked up and down before she looked at his face once more. [/blockquote] [/div] WORDS ??? Falcone Crime Boss
When god is gone and the Devil takes hold who'll have mercy on your soul?

Post by Dominique Falcone on May 15, 2013 11:56:18 GMT -5
THE LION IS OUTSIDE OF YOUR DOOR THE WOLF IS IN YOUR BED THE LION'S CLAWS ARE SHARPENED FOR WAR THE WOLF'S TEETH ARE RED
Her attention seemed to be on the man on stage, taking it all off for the sake of charity. Quite a few women in attendance were fanning themselves, laughing in delight to one another and enjoying the scenery. The wolf in sheep's clothing kept her blue eyes on Tony Stark, the man who threatened to invade Gotham. She hadn't an idea if Stark was actually a threat, he seemed drunk majority of the time if anything. Drunk and stupid was never a way to go through life. Though with his position in the world, his claim to fame certainly made him more intelligent than most of the ones who resided in Gotham. A weapons dealer of the highest class, his knowledge and money allowed for great items to be made. If only someone of the dark had caught his eye before he dedicated himself to helping the helpless. Perhaps Tony Stark would have been a business partner to the lady Falcone at one point; If his alliance were different.
She finished her small glass and set it on the table as she moved to the right a bit more to be in the center of the room. As she had begun to move with the masses, in step, she caught sight of Cassandra and without drawing attention Dominique nodded her head in acknowledgement, her hand raised slightly in the smallest of waves. She had ran into the girl not long ago, killed three men who threatened to harm her. Dominique had a soft spot for children, even more for females. Gotham was not a nice place for a young girl to grow up, the people that ran within it had the most horrible of intentions. It was Gotham's Darkness that wrapped itself around those who stayed. It eventually broke through the cracks in the wrapping to swallow a person's soul.
Her right shoulder leaned upon a beam as she saw someone only familiar by description. Dom squinted her eyes and looked around only to find the woman in question. She gave Eve a smile and raised her brows before she looked back at Sinestro on stage. She had briefly talked with her friend on Eve's new interest. Dom was surprised, he certainly wasn't Bruce Wayne. But then again her own story was a complicated mess that featured a Norse God. Were things ever simple? She brought her arms up and clapped when Eve finally won her man, the glare Eve was giving as well as the magenta alien was enough to let Dom know there would be bad things to follow if their way wasn't given. It was, in fact, a look she knew too well. Her hands remained within one another, her left fingers moved the diamond fire ring in a circle on her right ring finger.
'So that's why Alonzo shaves his beard like that now. Ugh. Fen could eat him.' She thought in her head as she realized one of her men had shaved his facial hair to look like Iron Man's own. She exhaled roughly as she shook her head and pinched the bridge of her nose.
"He's already ruining my people." She muttered under her breath but stopped immediately when she heard a voice. A voice that was new to her but only by a few weeks. Dom turned her head to the right, blue eyes landed on Phil though he caught her hand as she was bringing it down to her side. She pursed her lips as she slid her hand out of his. Charming.
"Phil, you did make it." She stated as her eyes caught sight of the God who had plagued her mind; Lucky him or her no one knew. She gave a coy smile to Loki as she returned her eyes back to Phil. "Well thank you." She said quite aware there was ass kissing. There always was. She was a power player, he was her lackey. Most everyone save for a few, Joker, that worked alongside her treated her the same. But she knew it was a game. It was a game when she had to play nice with those she couldn't stand. Though the question was if he could stand Dom and she betted on not. She was ambitious and got what she wanted. Typically, human emotion became butt hurt when they met the Devil In Black. Would he double cross her? That she wasn't aware of but that issue would come later. "The lack of sleep really brings out the psycho in your eyes, Phil." She said as she attempted to be nice. What was she supposed to say, what was he wearing that wasn't out of the normal.
She kept a smile on her face, her gaze was on Loki though when he cleared his throat Dominique looked back at Phil. "Have you two met?" She asked rather casually as she took a step over to have her hand snake along Loki's lower back. "This is Phil, he's my associate. New to Gotham and all." She spoke careful on her words in the chance ears were closer to them than she'd like. "This is Loki, my date."

Bidder! Victor arrived at the auction in his Versace suit, knowing very well that no one would recognize him. Matter of fact, he didn’t care whether people recognized him, but he only hoped he wouldn’t have run into his rival Mr. Fantastic. The Fantastic Four were known to have embraced their presence to events like these, but they wouldn't have been a sight for sore eyes. He looked through the large crowd not spotting a single large and rocky oaf anywhere, becoming very pleased. This wasn’t a night for any drama, but a night for charity. The only charity that was going on in the mad-man’s head, was that he was able to choose the superhero of his choice. He could of cared less where his money was going, but he would've had a hero by the end of the night to run experiments on. The main person he wanted was the famous Superman. He wanted to cut the man open on an operating table, and learn of his powers. The Kryptonians were famous across the Eastern Seaboard, but he still lacked the knowledge of how they received their power. The curiosity was biting him in the neck, making him want to hurry the process.
Doom held his hands in his pockets, as he watched the famous Captain America receiving bids like no other. He shook his head at the sight of the partially naked fool, knowing very well that he’d just performed a strip-tease. Doom thought really hard on bidding on him, just to recreate the Super Soldier Serum, but the Star Spangled Avenger wasn't worth his money. Doom knew very well that he would've wiped Steve Rogers across the stage with his powers, but Superman was a different story. Victor knew deep down that Superman was the most powerful being that walked the Earth, but he for sure as hell wasn't going to admit it. He took the time to look around at the crowd and caught a glimpse of the infamous Dominique Falcone, who ran the underground of Gotham City. She was definitely a sight for sore eyes; a woman that he believed had similar motives and ideas. Not only that, she was very beautiful. Victor walked closer to the woman, but was quickly taken aback by a large Sasquatch bodyguard, “That’s close enough” he spoke as he lightly pushed Doom. Victor mugged the guard, and turned his attention back to the stage where Tony Stark had made his appearance.
Tony Stark was a brilliant man, though lacked when it matched Doom’s. Doom believed he could have wiped Stark Industries off the map with his own creations, but producing weapons for others wasn't his forte. The doctor worked for himself and created weapons ONLY for himself. Stark Industries still had a set-back on producing weapons ever since the Iron man grew a conscious. Doom believed Stark to be a mere joke in his eyes, but knew he had full potential. His obsessions with his suits were his immediate downfall.
Suddenly, an unearthly being had floated upon stage, making Victor very interested. He caught sight of the being, and new that it was a Lantern of OA. Doom knew exactly what the lanterns were capable of, even before the worlds had merged. The good doctor was at the peak of developing a wormhole, which had the capability to travel to any dimension. His production of the wormhole was never finished because it was missing a certain ancient crystal. The crystal was never found, leading the entire operation to failure. Doctor Doom wasn't a man of failure.
He continued eyeing the lantern with an amazed look. His eyes quickly focused on the ring that the lantern was wearing. He knew the aspects of the ring, and the power it conjured with use of its host. The ring had an energy source called a power battery, which was something Dr. Doom wanted to steal from their home planet. Before he could provide the auctioneers with a price, a woman had jumped to buy him. Doom revealed a small smirk knowing very well that she wasn't going to pull one over on him. "FIVE... HUNDRED... AMERICAN DOLLARS!" Victor had called out eyeing the woman from afar, smirking.

If Dom didn't eat him first, poor man just didn't know what was headed up his alley. Sipping her drink Eve nodded back to the alien on stage, he was lucky she liked him for the most part, even after he decided to fly her around Gotham, which she suspected he did just to be a dick. But he was interesting, no doubt about that, and Eve did love interesting. While trying to dissect him would probably be an experience that went terribly wrong, she still wanted to pick his brain. Hey getting out of this for a hundred dollars sounded pretty good to her, yes it was a charity auction, and yes she definitely had money to burn, but she loved a good deal. Glancing around the mass of people Eve finally fond Dom not too far away and gave the other woman a grin, shrugging a little and sitting back in her chair. The brunette was well aware of what the other woman thought of her fixation on the magenta alien, not that she could really blame the other woman. He was a magenta alien after all. She was just about sure she had won when someone else called out a bid and Evie sat back up straight, a look of annoyance crossing her features. It softened a bit though when the younger blonde walked up to her, Kara was a sweet girl after all, and hadn't done anything to her to warrant anything other then a smile, even if this one was still laced with mild annoyance. "Hey Kara, I like the dress," Pink did just seem to suit the girl, Eve had a hunch she was made of bubblegum and sugar after all, "Trust me, I don't plan on loosing," Which she didn't, just out of principal. Waving off the bid she had just opened her mouth to contest the bid with one of her own when she heard a bellow of someone else placing a bid and she pursed her lips, grey eyes narrowing on the man. Was that a challenge? Oh yes, he was challenging her, oh that poor bastard had no idea who he was fucking with today. Whoever the guy was, he was a looker, she'd give him that, it was a crying shame Eve was going to have to crush that pride of his under her louboutins today, but she didn't like being challenged. "One thousand dollars!" The woman said, standing to stare the man down and giving him a smirk that was dripping with murder. Tipping her glass to the man she finished the drink, putting the glass down on the table with a level of authority, daring him to keep going. And here she had been hoping to get out of this one for a steal, now she was thinking the alien was going to owe her a strip tease at this price. Yep, for a thousand dollars, she had better see some skin. [style=padding: 0px 15px; font-size: smaller;] Words: 539 Music: Nothing! Outfit: Clicky!Notes: I dare you 8| [/style] |

-TAKEN-
To be terribly honest, Tony hadn't expected the wad of bubblegum in spandex to get any bids. He wasn't exactly a looker... was he? Well, whoever was out there bidding must have a thing for pointy-eared aliens. Huh. Wonder what the fanfictions...
"One thousand dollars!"
Oh. Hey, Eve. Wait... Eve?! Tony's face visibly scrunched as he peered past the lights to the grass below where all of the outdoor evening tables were located. Brown hair, curves, dress cutting down to- yup. That was Eve. Was she seriously buying this guy? What the hell had happened between them that night to make her go after an alien?
Was that... her thing? Aliens? Oh God. Was she an alien?! Had he screwed an alien?!
...Whoa. Wait, that would be totally awesome. Why was he complaining? They'd used a condom, right...? Yeah. Yeah, they'd definitely used a condom. Did latex protect against alien STD's?
Nah. She couldn't be an alien. She worked for Wayne. And... she didn't have pink skin and pointy ears... or a psychotic look and a magical ice cube staff. Nope, she was human. Maybe.
Tony cleared his throat slightly as a silence hung over the crowd after Eve's final bid. Apparently not even the biggest scifi fan boys in the crowd wanted to chip in that kind of money for their very own close encounter. Tony couldn't blame them. After all, the opposite-of-Hitler's-mustache was pretty much glaring at the crowd.
"Sold! To the gorgeous, young brunette in the center aisle." Tony said with a grin, opening his hand in the direction of Eve and giving her a quick wink before hurrying Sinestro off-stage.
Tony looked back down at his sheet and quirked an eyebrow at the next name.
"And for our very first female hero of the night, all you Gothamites might have seen her great ass kicking ass and taking names on the streets of the city. The one, the only, Black Canary!"

they council me, they understand
"The lack of sleep really brings out the psycho in your eyes, Phil."
Phil gently touched his heart with his fingertips and smiled. "Aww, I'm touched. Been workin' on that look all day. How kind of you to notice!" He chuckled once, letting the moment hang in the air. He knew that it hadn't exactly been a compliment, but... well, he was the Hobgoblin. He wanted every little ounce of psycho he could manage.
Do you ever get the feeling... you're being watched?
As comical and cartoon-like as the question was, it was true. Because suddenly Phil felt an eerie, icy feeling crawling down his back. His hair stood on end and, if he hadn't been hyper-aware of his expression, he may have gasped or looked alarmed.
Thankfully he didn't, though the tall, looming figure behind him gave him the willies anyway. How could someone be that silent? Was that even possible?
Next headline: Creepy giant stalks innocent reporter at Stark Expo. Phil thought as he gave the newcomer a short but polite smile. But when he saw Dom move to the man's side, that smile slipped some. Great. Scratch that headline. He wasn't about to anger the person he was doing business with. Especially not a crime mob queen. Contrary to what some might believe, Phil really did like keeping his head attached to his body.
...He just liked decapitating others'.
He blinked a few times before Dom went to introduce her business partner to her apparent date for the evening. Loki, huh? Original.
"Loki, like the god of chaos. Very exciting. No wonder he's your date," Phil commented with a smile to Dominique. "I hope we'll be keepin' the anarchy to a minimum tonight though, 'cause I do have plans. Plans that I think you will be very interested in."
His voice dropped, ending almost in a whisper. He moved closer to her, to the side opposite Loki, in order to speak directly to her so as not to be overheard by anyone else that might pry into their conversation. "Stark is up for grabs. You in? I bet he'd appreciate a real warm Gotham welcome from its queen herself." He chuckled a little, his smile widening into a grin.
He passed off a paper to Dom discreetly, which had the names of everyone on the list for tonight. Iron Man was circled, but so was another name: Deadpool.
"I've been doin' my research, Ms. Falcone. That is Deadpool, a skilled assassin with the ability to regenerate and heal from almost any wound. He's a gun for hire, and he's also for sale tonight. Obviously I have no funds to bid on anyone, so I'm requestin' your financial backing. I promise it'll be worth it."
Still grinning, though his attention seemed focused on the stage by this point as the magenta alien was rushed off and a blonde woman took his place, Phil reached into his pocket and pulled out another slip of paper. He handed it to Dom. The folded-over object was a picture of Spiderman.
"Do you know anything about New York's spider problem?"

Post by Chris "Darkhawk" Powell on May 20, 2013 15:54:18 GMT -5
Taken ! Mia was obviously determined to figure out who he was, and where they had met, because she seemed to put a lot of attention on him. She turned away for a second only to greet Superman, then Wally. The younger hero must have triggered her memory too because all at once she spun around and pointed at him. "Darkhawk right?" "Yeah." Chris nodded, and stuck his hands in his pockets. "That's me alright, though I probably foolishly like to prominade hero parties in my human form." Fight too, he thought, as he remembered the scary ordeal he had gone through a few weeks back with Norman "Mad Dog" Mars. The Darkhawk body had been damaged so much that Chris hadn't the heart to switch back when the son-of-a-bitch had come at him with a blade. Through a series of quick maneuvers and clever tricks, he had managed to escape that, thankfully. He wouldn't know what to do if he died in combat. "Darkhawk is not... Me." He added, as an afterthought. It was true. He could see through the eyes of the Hawk and voice his opinions and thoughts but he knew it wasn't his body underneath the armor. A whole other being was switched with his own when that transformation occurred...
"I don't like it. Doesn't it seem too peaceful? You'd imagine by now we'd have to have someone removed or had seen some ill-conceived attempt at destruction." Spider-woman's British tone made Chris turn. Bending his head, Chris stared at his shoes and thought. "Miss Romanov, Miss Drew. I couldn't help, but overhear... Do you think something bad is to happen?" Cap walked up, still pretty much half-naked. Oh god. How much longer was the vision going to go on behind Chris's eyes? The vision of a shirtless, pantsless Captain America that all the girls crooned over and who was probably going to have fetched the highest price of the night? Forcing it out of his head, Chris formulated the thought that had been taking shape in his head since Spider-woman had spoken up. "maybe they know it'd be dumb to try anything. but there are some pretty dumb ones..." Black Canary added, with a look of disdain on her face. "Can I say this..." Chris said, looking up and around at the little group. "Look around this auction-there are heroes swarming everywhere. Even we are a pretty large group- Speedy, Flash, Superman, Widow, Spider-woman-" -She was the only one whose name he didn't know, and she looked like a spider to him so that's what he called her- "-Captain, Canary- Now, not to say that there isn't a proportionate amount of villains too but this is the trick- we're all together. The one thing villains know is that together, we can kick their butts. The old cliché, you know, good always triumphs over evil. I am absolutely certain, though, that this is a villain hot spot at the moment, because of the auction. Think about it. We are only auctioned off to one person. This is a chance to settle personal vendettas and wreak some havoc on us ourselves. Divide and conquer." Nodding to all of them, he looked hopefully around, hoping for a favorable reaction.
Catching Sinestro's glare, Chris stared back at him, wide-eyed, smile completely neutral What? Something on my face? his expression asked, and he shrugged. What the heck? It could be anger, or disgust, or whatever the heck, but why him? Chris was almost glad when someone from the audience shouted out a five hundred bid and another a one thousand. Yeah, it probably was of no consequence and a random act of intimidation- "...The one, the only, Black Canary!" Tony cut through Chris's thoughts. Ah, it must be Dinah's turn. She would be a great one to buy and take out, but she would go high- and he only had six hundred, after all. The kid hero turned to Dinah and smiled at her, gesturing for her to go out. "Chris will speak like this." "Dinah." "Jessica." "Mia." "Steve." "Tony." "Others."TAGS: Everyone! WORDS:NOTES: Hold for a Clint Post :: Blue Jazz Choir Vest Table layout by BRY, 2012

Mia smiled to Canary watching as her mouth hug, and she had wide eyes. Gosh, did Mia miss the woman being around as well. It had been a while but who could forget Dinah? " I slightly shocked as well, that I decided to show, But it is for a good cause right? It also seemed like fun. " she said to Canary before listening to everyone around her. Mia then turned looked at Darkhawk as she smiled even more before she spoke back to what he had said. " Alright, figured out who ya are.. Just not sure where I have seen you before. " she said lightly to him as she bit her bottom lip scratching her blond head as she looked at him. Mia was a bit confused on the Darkhawk is not me but she knew better than to question someone. Mia just nodded as she understood before she turned listening to spider woman now then she Heard Cap's voice and a smiled played on her lips again as she looked at him with a slight blush. He was half naked still just about. And standing with them.
Mia could not take her blue green eyes off him as she watched god, he looked like a god. Mia snapped out of it when Canary spoke again she was right though. If anyone tried anything with all the hero's around they were pretty dumb villains at that point. Mia agreed with a nod before glancing over at Chris as he spoke. Mia smiled and nodded divide and conquer, though she was also pretty sure that if the villains tried anything the array of Hero's here would take action with out a second thought, dressed in dress, and suits or not they were still heroes. Mia smiled and clapped when it was Canary's turn and she smiled a bit towards her. " Good Luck, At least Arrow isn;t here right?" though she wished he was to buy her back or try to at least.

What was the fun of coming to the auction in Hawkeye garb? Come on, that would be so boring! There would be no excitement in that, and everyone would just look at him and be like, "Bleh. Old sight." No he wasn't being auctioned off, and no, he wasn't going to try to bring too much attention to himself. He just thought it would be fun if he came in something that would stump the ones he bought, and allow him to have a little fun with his "slaves". He even doubted that Tony Stark would recognize him, since he was again in full Ronin garb- and no one but himself and perhaps Carnage knew the secret to who was behind the personage. The halloween costume had served him well in the fight with the web-head and the freaky symbiote guy. Peter had been, and was still fooled, by the guise- even without the modifications Clint had made to make him even less recognizable. This was a good chance to break it out again, no doubt. He had come up with the idea three days ago, when he had been going through his invites and noticed the invitation to be a bidder at the Stark Expo hero auction... As well as a hand-signed list from Stark in which Natasha's name was circled and pointed to excessively. Yeah, he'd go, even if he wasn't able to get Nat. There would definitely be some other interesting people to buy. Straightening up on a tent-top nearby the stage, Clint watched the pink alien in the green costume stroll off with a hint of curiosity. Who was that? Unfortunately, his brain couldn't pull up any file. None of the names on the list he had been given sounded familiar either, and so being out of options he shook his head and turned his attention to the audience, scanning it slowly and analytically. Hmm. Interesting concoction. There was Loki, he was always trouble; Nat had a rather strong feeling of hate toward him. An important player in the SHIELD files, a crime queenpin, Loki's date it seemed too, Dominique Falcone. He wasn't going to attack them at a large gathering like this: that would be induced homicide. For now, they had the crowd to cover them. Tearing his concentration away from the dark-haired villains, he kept on his crowd-scouting. The next one to catch his attention was reporter Phil Urich, who had written the article about Deadpool and Danii a couple weeks back. He must have gotten so much flak from the red and black assassin about that almost blasphemous story. He was talking to Loki and Dominique. Interesting. Clint narrowed his eyes. Something to check out. There also were rumors floating around that the man was more than he seemed, but no one could confirm those. Then, Victor Von Doom, big businessman and millionaire. And then Clint saw someone that made him smile underneath the mask- Kara Kent. She was standing with Eve Amherst, Bruce Wayne's ever-attractive secretary, who had just bought the alien on stage. He had met the former in Los Angeles just a couple weeks back. What were the odds that she would literally run into him on a random rooftop? Hopping lightly to another tent top, and then to the one nearby Kara, Clint dived in next to her just as a spot opened up next to where she was standing. Straightening up and dusting himself off, he admired a bit how these soft rubber insoles in the costume raised his height by a good two and a half inches. "Good evening, ladies." A little-used bass voice, developed for an undercover personage, eminated from his throat. "Is it alright if I stand here?" Brown eyes, showing a bit through the oval eye slits of the costume, glanced down at Eve, but still up at Kara. Yes, still he had to look up. Contacts changed the color of his eyes. Other than by his hard abs and perhaps familiarly muscled arms no one could tell that it was him. Fooling people was so fun!
Stark announced the next one to be auctioned off, a heroine from the other merged universe named Black Canary. She was pretty much their Black Widow. How interesting it would be to pit them together and see who could get the other on the ground first. Clint had his own personal opinions about how the fight would lean: Widow definitely would emerge the easy victor, if Canary stuck strictly to a traditional fighting style, that is. It would be a bit of a harder battle if Dinah was a bit of a dirtier fighter than she was portrayed to be. Still, Widow had the age, experience, and former criminal history going for her. Clint's backing, too. That's probably why he was putting so much faith in her, he thought with a sigh. Ever since their conversation on the helicarrier, things had not been the same. As Sinestro left, she would have to find him later and give the alien man a hug. Even if he didn’t really like them she adored hugs and anything that had to do with affection. Standing next to eve Kara watched the next hero walk on stage. “Who is that Eve?” Kara hadn’t been to Gotham before and this female hero was new to her, Kara Watched the older blonde. She wondered if she should bid for her, then it came that she would bid for anyone that she didn’t know or if she had a good idea to have them do with her.
The young blonde took out her bag of gummy worms and offered some to eve. Kara liked sharing it was always a good thing to share, Sinestro taught her a lot of human things and sharing was one of them. Kara pulled out a green pink and red one and smiled sliding the worm in her mouth and noming on it she looked around the place, a lot of conversations were going on and she could hear them all and now it was getting a little to much, she couldn’t figure out how to turn off her super hearing. Looking at eve and then to the ground. How she wished Superboy or Chris was here, they would know what to do.
Then kara looked at the masked man that came up to her and eve. "Um ok" the blonde smiled. "Im kara kent, nice to meet you"

Loki simply continued to loom over Phil while the mortal's focus was on Dom. However when the messy haired mortal finally realized he was being watched and turned to greet the demi-god with a slight smile, Loki didn't return one. Simply continued to look down upon the man with acidic green eyes.
Loki's expression failed to change when Dom clearly staked her claim that he was her's. He was aware he was being used to promote envy, or perhaps a sense of jealousy. Not that he cared to be used as such. His own arm snaking around her slender shoulders.
It seemed as though this man did not know when to shut his mouth. Clearly he didn't care to converse with the man, he simply rolled his eyes at the comment about plans, clearly he knew nothing of Chaos. It was far from planned. In fact, it was the element that destroyed plans.
He merely tilted his head slightly as the string of comments continued. Loki held no true reason for being here. Thus these plans Phil was now speaking to Dom about held little interest to him.
Regardless that this wretch tried to hide his voice, Loki's hearing was well above average. He heard every word spoke. Though he would only engage in it if there was something he felt the need to. The Trickster held full confidence that he was not needed in these plans. She had been ruling Gotham's underground far before meeting him. there was no point in intervening now.
However, Loki felt as though he had caught the attention of the heroes in the room, maybe not ones that could do anything about it. He scoffed quietly to himself at the thought. Oh what a massacre it would be should he want to cause such a problem.
though he could not help but feel, that something was terribly awry tonight.

Post by Dinah "Black Canary" Lance on Jun 10, 2013 3:13:56 GMT -5
Truth be told, Dinah was quite curious as to why the Expo had gone on as long as it had without incident. Spiderwoman had a point if there was ever one. But the Darkhawk brought up a good argument. It would be foolish for someone to cause a scene. There were more heroes within the square foot than there were exits. With the universes merged there were a variety of people with different talents that could easily overcome the other world's villain. It seemed that the beings from the marvelous world had enemies far beyond simple flesh and blood. While they had similar beings, they had the world eater and the Titan. But was Dinah truly there to worry about the night events of the common criminal? No. Why? She and all the rest of the super powered occupants would put a stop to the situation as soon as it presented itself. Everything was fluid; liquid. People were agreeing and getting along. What more could they ask for?
Black Canary smiled out onto Thaal as he was finally won. Those blue eyes of the blonde didn't bother to gaze out into the crowd, she wasn't worried about what would happen next. Perhaps it was a rare event in the night. Daily, night after night, she would don the black leotard with the leather jacket, gloves and of course the fish net. She was the Sonic Songbird after all. Able to lay the rogue's of Gotham out with a simple Canary Cry. Super sonic frequencies transmitted through the metagene that resided within her vocal cords. It held the abilities to incapacitate a person or super being. Not too long ago she encountered the being Carnage and produced her scream only to send him away. She knew she'd have a round two with the alien and she was certainly ready.
However the sound of her alias being called over the sound system caused her thoughts to be put on hold momentarily. Dinah glanced around at the small circle of heroes and smiled her goodbye before she took the stage. Her fingertips touched her pointed domino mask, moving on to touch the light strands of her hair as she flung it over her shoulder. She gave a wink before she moved further onto the stage, her hands moved to the back of her dress as her fingertips touched her zipper. She turned to the side, her left leg bent ever so slightly as she slowly tugged the metal downward. She turned with her back to the stage as her hands finally reached the end of the zipper. She turned her head to the side so that she could smirk at the crowd and wink as her dress fell to the floor only to be left in the outfit she fought crime in.
Black unitard that showed more than enough cleavage. Her toned legs encased in a set of fishnet stockings acquired from Paris, France with her friend and fellow League member, Zatanna. She pulled the ends of her gloves tight against her hands as she turned and faced the crowd with a wide smile. She looked out with blue eyes and winked at Tony as he certainly complimented her figure. She was more than enough woman for him to handle, more than enough for anyone really. She flicked her head to the right as she sent a wave of blonde tendrils over her shoulder. It was bidding time boys.
