.....................................................................
Full Name: Athena
Code Name: Goddess of Wisdom, Warfare, Divine intelligence, Architecture and Crafts, Patron Goddess of Athens (source: wikipedia)
Age: VERY OLD. Appears to be 28 years old, according to mortals, but is thousands upon thousands of years old.
Date of Birth: That knowledge is not for mortals.
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Species: Goddess
Alliance: Freelance Hero
Citizenship: Marvel
Canon or Original?:Original
"Victory is MINE Baldy!
And if you had any hair I'd take that too!"
And if you had any hair I'd take that too!"
Hair: Athena's naturally curly dark brown hair is normally a little longer than shoulder length.
Eyes: Athena has an open and trustworthy look to her eyes, when she's not angry. Her eyes are hard and show just how angry she is when she's been angered. Athena's eyes range from a light Irish green to being just as green as Loki's; it all depends on how exhausted she is. The more she needs sleep, the duller green her eyes are. Currently, her eyes appear to be a very bright, verdant green.
Height: 5' 7"
Weight: 500 lbs.
Distinguishing Marks: Athena has a tattoo of her symbol on her left shoulderblade. Tattoo Design
Appearance: Athena has changed her appearance over the years quite a few times, but she has returned to her original appearance for the time being. She originally is 8 feet 9 inches tall, but she had wanted to be average height for Midgardian mortals, her height is 5 feet and 7 inches and she weighs around 500 pounds (she didn't want her weight to scale down; she didn't want some mortal to be able to pick her up and throw her across a street) in this scaled down form. She has dark brown curly hair that goes a couple inches past her shoulders and honest looking eyes that range from a light Irish green color to as bright as Loki Laufeyson's. Athena is a woman who does not indulge herself in the style trends of mortals and as such, wears whatever she pleases, whether she wears a dress of ancient Greece or something more modern like a simple blouse and a pair of jeans or a skirt. Athena has a slightly tan Caucasian skin tone. On her left shoulder blade, she has a tattoo of her symbol, the owl.
While Athena does have nice curves, she never wears clothing that accentuates that fact aside from her ancient Greek dresses. When this goddess goes into battle, She still wears the magically protective breastplate her father had gifted her called Aegis. She carries her spear and her shield with her. Athena has quite a few self image problems, but many think she has a lovely appearance and an even lovlier smile, when she rarely (like once in a blue moon rare) shows it.

Personality: Athena is the goddess of wisdom and warfare, and this shows in her persona. She is a very intelligent and thoughtful person, and is ruled by reason and strategy. She doesn't succumb to arrogance like many gods, Greek and otherwise. She is a strong and mature woman, both mentally and physically, and she unsurpassed when it comes to wit. She can let reason overtake her persona and as such, has great difficulty getting in touch with any sort of emotion or letting herself be more feminine. She has issues with her self image and does not take to anyone calling her beautiful; if someone insults her appearance, her wrath comes out in full force. She is at the hands of the Fates like any other being in existence.
Athena is a woman who lets her words and strategy speak instead of her actions. She beat Ares in battle before simply with excellent strategy and planning. She is a goddess who is best not to be messed with. She does not fool around or grant much in the way of mercy when she judges someone on their actions or words. While she can be merciless, she is mostly diplomatic, reasonable, and even able to resolve disputes between the gods of Olympus.
She is not one to indulge herself in relationships with mortals, though she did have an intimate relationship with another immortal for a time ( 200 years). It did not end well and as such, she has not had a relationship since then, though she is capable of having one.

Powers
- Magical Abilities - Athena was a very powerful goddess and as such was able to do much with magic. She could disguise herself, walk through battlefields unseen (invisibility), and even grant powerful gift unto mortals she would favor (almost always beleaguered heroes). She can also do much more with her magic, though her most common abilities are listed in detail above.
- Superhuman Speed - Athena is faster than any mere mortal and can outrun anyone. She is able to use this speed to her advantage most effectively on the battlefield.
- Superhuman Strength - Athena also is much stronger than mortals and even stronger than other Greek goddesses. Her strength is rivaled only by the gods of Olympus and the Titans. She can lift around 40 tons.
- Casting Lighting - Because she is her father's favorite, he granted her use of his weapons and as such can use his lighting, though she prefers her spear and shield.
Weapons Athena
Strengths/Abilities:
- Mastery of Combat - Being the Goddess of warfare, Athena is as masterful at combat as Ares and even her father, Zeus. Though she prefers to use her strategy and cunning to win a battle, she could just as easily use force to win.
- Mastery of Magic -Athena's knowledge of magic is as great as her knowledge of everything else. She is formidable when using her magic, though she uses it even less than she uses her combat skills.
- Wisdom - Athena is exceptional when it comes to strategy, cunning, and warfare. She can face off against Ares and live to tell the tale of her success. She has vast knowledge of everything from architecture and building to weaving and crafting.
Weaknesses:
- Ruled by Reason - Athena is the goddess of wisdom and lets reason rule her decisions. It's hard for her to show any kind of emotion (though she did show emotion once with her one past relationship). It's hard for her to relate to any mortal and doesn't see the reason in trying anymore.
- Unapproachable - While Athena can be a very reasonable person, her often intimidating aura can cause even the bravest of mortals to hesitate approaching her. Even if she has done nothing to cause such alarm, mortals still can feel the power of her presence and very frequently do not speak to her. When one does gather up the courage. She is usually a withdrawn kind of polite and answers in the most formal tone, and that can even make those brave enough to approach her almost stay away from her.

History: Athena's mother is said to be a nymph named Metis who was pregnant when Athena's father Zeus swallowed her whole. He swallowed Metis because The Fates had told him his next child would be stronger than he and usurp him. He got a headache after he swallowed Metis. He had Hephaestus crack his skull open with an axe. Athena sprung from his head, fully grown and wearing armor.
Athena quickly became her father's favorite after he saw that she did not desire his throne. She was so loved by Zeus that he allowed her use of his own lightning in battle and his battle spear. He also gave her Aegis, a magically protective breastplate that he had refused his other children the honor of wearing. Athena would grow more powerful and wise as she read books and learned magic. She became known for her exceptional weaving skills and soon enough, a foolish mortal thought she could best Athena. Arachne boasted of her weaving skills and for such arrogance, Athena transformed the woman into an eight legged insect so 'she could weave all she wanted for eternity'. As she grew older, she was challenged by her brother Ares in a battle. She won with her exceptional strategy rather then her brute force.
The Gorgons had once been Athena's priestesses. Poseidon eventually raped Medusa. Athena cast out the three which enraged them. They and Poseidon defiled her temple, which further enraged her. She waited for the right moment to exact her revenge and then she cursed the former priestesses by making them so ugly that anyone who should look upon them would turn to stone. Throughout thousands of years, Athena helped beleaguered warriors like Perseus and Hercules in various parts of their journeys, though Odysseus was the one she favored above all men and she aided him throughout the entirety of his journey.
Long before the incident with Odin's sons transpired, Athena had gone to Earth for quite a time to watch and guide mortals she saw as worthy. She was actually annoyed with the incident of Thor's banishment and the destruction that followed. When he was back in Asgard, she proceeded to aid the mortals in reconstruction. After she finished aiding them, she continued to walk among mortals, searching for those special few that could use her aid.

'Another mortal... how quaint...' Athena thought, watching a Midgardian man start to approach her. He seemed quite intoxicated and she gave a passing glance at the others behind him. They were just as intoxicated as he was. She hated drunk men. Athena turned her cold gaze upon the man coming up to her. In her smaller form, the man was taller than her, but obviously her size did not dull the strength of her presence.
It seemed as it many mortals appeared to fear her, though she did respect the few that did gather up their courage to come and speak with her. She had actually been quite pleased that those who made successful approaches were those with quite a bit of intelligence themselves.
"E-excuse me..." The man practically oozed fear.
Athena gave him a very small smile and spoke. "Yes, mortal?" She said, keeping her tone soft, but emotionless as to not have him relieve himself in his drawers.
"I-I'd like to ask you for a -"
"No."
"But I only want a da-"
"No." Athena said in a tone that definitely made the man relieve himself and end the conversation all at once.
She took no joy in making my mortals fear her; she only took joy in knowledge, reason, and strategy anymore, though she did remember those short 200 years that had her thinking about a certain immortal just as much as logic. She turned and walked away from the entrance of the bar, a rare full smile gracing her lips.
