Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

Doctor Victor Von Doom was a man that thrived off brilliance. He believed his inventions were the key to human dominance in the galaxy, but the inventions were for him only to use. Doctor Doom believed every single being to be lesser than him, even the famous Superman. They would’ve all bowed sooner than later, but right now was the time to perfect his inventions. The Doombots were almost ready for initiation, but they lacked a main ingredient. There was a main power source that was needed, just like Tony Stark’s arc reactor. Doom wanted to surpass Stark’s invention of the arc reactor, causing him to dwell in tons of research. Within only minutes of researching a power source, he came across a rare crystal that would’ve had the ability to fuel his androids. The crystal was found within a small asteroid that hit Antarctica, back in the late 1800’s. The United States staked their claim of the crystal, but had no clue of its source of energy. Doom grinned widely under his titanium mask, finding the location of the prized rock.
The rock was unleashing its beauty at New York City’s famous museum, making the situation a little interesting. Victor left the Hall of Doom in hot pursuit of the prize, closing the secret hideout within the swamp before he left. He soared high over New York City eyeing the flashy lights that lit up the night, and quickly spotted the large museum. Dr. Doom dove straight down at the building, having his hands outstretched ahead of him. He then released multiple mystic blasts that blew open a hole to the museum, which then sounded the alarm. Doom landed inside of the museum, knowing the crystal’s exact location on where it was being held. He looked around, and immediately spotted the crystal in a secure case from afar. Doom revealed a wide smirk under his mask, as he released yet another mystic blast upon the case. The case immediately shattered, but before the crystal could fall helplessly on the marble floor, Doom caught it with a hand.
Just by holding the rock, Doom could feel the power within. A jolt of excitement flooded his gut, as he held the crystal that would’ve done his androids justice. He squeezed the crystal within his palm, having ideas run through his mind like a computer. Now wasn’t the time to be thinking about his plans, but a plan for immediate escape. Before Doom could take one more step, two guards caught up with him aiming their useless guns, “Put that back!” yelled one of the guards. Doom’s smirk grew wider, as he continued to squeeze the crystal within his palm. “And what if I don’t?” laughed Doom. Both bodyguards pulled the triggers of their pistols, letting the bullets bounce off his armor. The mad doctor laughed madly at their failures, but soon shot back blasts of his own. The mystical blasts pierced both guards in the chest, sending them sliding across the marble floors of the museum. Doom didn’t intend on killing them, but the blasts did leave them badly wounded. He laughed madly as he stepped over their helpless bodies to head for the exit, but another artifact caught his eye. “This shall look marvelous in my home” he exclaimed.

Supergirl was heading back to her apartment when she heard the disturbance at a museum that should have been closed. Flying in to the building she looked around finding a dude in a metal mask she looked at him and crossed her arms.
“I do believe it would be a good idea to put that down Dude, Daddy taught me you shouldn’t take things that aren’t yours to take.” The girl was floating above him, her hair fell past her shoulders and her red cape fell down to her knees as her Supergirl costume shined in the museum. Watching the man closely she was unsure of what he was capable of. Surely he would just go back and put the things back, but then again Kara didn’t know any bad guy who did that. ~tonight should have been a night of calmness, ~ the thoughts of the kryptonian were tieing, she wanted to go home and crawl in bed, but she knew she would finish this man fist then go to bed. Kara eyed him more, “Well put it back.” She ordered him, “Trust me getting in a fight with me is never a good idea.”

Heliopolitan Demi-god of Magic

Post by Xander Megalos on May 22, 2013 23:02:55 GMT -5
Tonight was an excellent night to take a midnight stroll. The stars were out, subtle cloud artistry was at work in the air, and there was a moon painted the world in silver hanging in the sky above. Such nights were not to be passed by any man, woman, or child, mortal, immortal, or anyone in between.
Despite the artificial lighting that would normally cause enough light pollution to blot out most of the stars, a certain man walked along the street of the Big Apple with his head turned slightly upwards regardless of the amount of light that shined above his head. The man wore a white shirt underneath a black jacket, with the shirt being tucked into black pants that covered the man's legs until black combat boots met them. The shirt was form fitting, which allowed a view of the marble-like musculature beneath. The most eye-catching features about the man however, was the shock of silver-white hair that decorated the top of his head and the indigo-grey eyes that stared at the sky above.
Such was one of the benefits of being an heir to the powers of the Heliopolitan god of the sun that one was always able to see the sky with perfect clarity so long as he was underneath it. With perfect precision Xander began to name the constellations even as he walked by, something that he would not have been able to do four years ago.
The god of the sun's knowledge was an immense burden of information sometimes, but sometimes it came to him in sudden flashes of insight that made a small smile come to his face. As Xander maneuvered his way through the city, he thought to himself that the relative beauty of the night was indeed perfect for a nice walk.
A strange sound however, broke him out of his reverie and brought him out of the sky and back to Earth. An alarm that came a point west of him and slightly to the north.
Sighing through his nose at the breaking of his peace, Xander toyed with the thought of simply keeping along his current path. An uncontrollable sense of curiosity turned him bodily towards the sound however, and a single step saw him placed through space at the doorway to a museum. A small smile was placed onto his lips as he thought to himself that robbing a museum was something that only Americans would do.
Another step saw him inside of the museum, after which he began to look around the building, stepping from space to space and covering the entirety of the building in seconds on his search for whomever had been in the process of robbing the place.
His search bore fruit when he stepped into a most interesting scene. A man clad in metal holding a large diamond was being stared down by a teenaged girl floating in mid-air. Having appeared next to the case that had originally held the diamond, a single look around the room gave a rather accurate testament to what was happening within the museum. Cocking his head to the side, Xander gave no words either heroic or villainous. He merely stared at the scene before him, awaiting one of the two persons within the museum other than himself to perform an act.

Doom eyed the fascinating artifact with a glee in his eye. This was definitely something he wanted for the Hall of Doom, even though time was very short. With another blast from his palm socket, the glass around the artifact emitted into millions of fragments upon the floor. Before he could grab a hold of the beautiful piece, someone had interrupted the fireworks. A woman's voice broke the silence beyond the ringing alarm, making the masked man turn his attention towards the source. "Oh? Well your daddy is WRONG! You see, this beautiful piece is mine, and mine only" he spoke with a wide smirk as he tried to examine the girl's appearance through the dim light. "Why don't you run off to play or something" he added.
Doom continued to hold the crystal within his hand, which really wasn't an actual rock. It took the form of a crystal, but with the right magic, the rock would've taken the form of a devastating weapon. A weapon that appeared to have been millions of years old. Doom smiled widely under the titanium mask as he tossed the crystal into the air like a bouncy ball. The weapon wasn't to be revealed to anyone, not even his new ally General Zod. It was for Doom's eyes only, and the possible break he had in figuring out ways to destroy the Kryptonians.
Doom aimed his hand at the girl and continued to smirk widely. A small ball of energy emitted from the palm socket, and before he could release it upon Kara, someone else had entered the scene. He looked over to see who it was, and noticed that the man was alone. Doom wanted to cry out in laughter after witnessing the reinforcements that were here to bring the great Victor Von Doom to justice. "I think I'll start with you!" he growled as he turned his hand to aim at the man. Within seconds of turning his hand, the beam was released and heading directly towards Xander's position.

Supergirl’s eyes widen, she looked at the man that was going to get hurt and flew at him. Picking the man up she flew out of the way and set him somewhere a little more safe for people. Turning back to Doom, her crystal blue eyes glowed a ruby red. “Put what you have stolen back and I won’t hurt you. And trust me, im the nice one when It comes to the family of supers.” Floating in front of the man she was protecting him like a kryptonian shield.
Kara knew the bad guy wasn’t going to give up the stolen goods, flying at him she put her fist forward and slammed her hand in to his chest plate; the punch was only strong enough to hit him in to the next wall. Looking back at the man she smiled. “It’s not safe here, sir for your safety I am asking you to leave.” Supergirl hoped that the young man would leave and not get hurt. Looking back at Doom she scanned the room for him. Her ruby red eyes were now a shade of blue as she was searching with her vision that let the girl see heat waves in the place. “you can run but you cant hide…..i got that from a movie.” The blonde smiled, but she couldn’t recall what movie she got that from. Maybe she would ask Steve or Bruce later what movie that came from. Then the blonde spotted movement. Making her way over to the movement she charged her eyes.

It had been a relatively quiet night for Kal-L. Anytime you only have a few muggings, and assaults to report after scanning a few Eastern seaboard cities the only word you could really use is quiet. A bit bored Kal-L decided to head towards the Big Apple, and was soon flying over the Hudson River, and headed towards the bright lights. Modern New York City was only nominally like the Earth Two counterpart that he remembered so well. New York had always been a large area for advertisement, in his New York City there was a famous sign for Camel cigarettes that blew smoke rings. This New York City though had advertisements for everything, in almost every way you could imagine. From normal simple porcelain signs, to huge neon numbers, to giants TV like monitors that constantly looped a simple message, advertising everything from acne cream to soft drinks. As Kal soared between New York’s famous skyscrapers his superhearing subconsciously picked up a strange sound. Kal turned suddenly in the air and headed towards the noise, because the sound reminded him of a weapon that his former arch enemy Alexei Luthor used once upon a time. “you can run but you cant hide…..i got that from a movie.”For some reason the voice that he suddenly picked up sounded familiar, but for a second Kal couldn’t put his finger on it. His eyes though quickly scanned into the building that the strange noise, and voice had come from. It seemed to be some kind of museum, and inside of it was a strange metal robot, a young male, and a teenage woman who was wearing his symbol. “Ahh….” Clark thought to himself. “It all makes sense now. That must be the Supergirl of this dimension.” Taking a page out of his own book Kal-L did something he hadn’t done in years, but was once known for on his own Earth. The Man of Tomorrow then crashed threw the building’s wall knocking a hole out of it, and was then suddenly standing not far away from the group of people. The original hero from Earth Two then scanned the metal being in front of him, and quickly realized that it wasn’t a robot but instead was a man in some kind of power armor. “Hold it right there Tin Man! This is the end of the line!” Kal-L then crossed his arms slowly as he scanned the area quickly to make sure no civilians were around that could be harmed if this got out of hand. "Surrender now! There is no need for this to escalate any further then it already has." OOC: If anyone is actually interested in looking at the famous "Camel Cigarette" sign that I mentioned above well tada! Gotta love the 40s.

Post by Johnny 'The Human Torch' Storm on Jun 13, 2013 14:51:11 GMT -5
Johnny has to admit that being a hero had been something that he had wanted to do his entire life. He had known how he had been looked at when he was in high school. Sue had been the smart one, the one that was going to make something with her life and Johnny had been the screw up. After all when you had been raised by your aunt and your older sister after your dad accidently kills your mom and then he gets involved with a pool shark he doesn’t exactly scream father of the year. Johnny had spent most of his time being raised by Sue and he had to admit that he thought that his sister had done the best that she could do given the fact that she was a kid herself. Yet Johnny was willing to bet that many of his teachers saw him a as a drop out and nothing more. Yet Johnny gave a damn about motorbikes and cars, he loved the way that they work and that had been something that had interested him. He might not have known which president had passed which amendment or what year president Kennedy was assassinated but if you asked him to take a motorbike’s engine apart he could do it easily. Leaving school he had been pretty much at a cross roads until he had gone into space with Sue. Sure he was a good kid but most of the time he spent doing stupid stunts on a bike and trying to get into girl’s underwear.
Of course he still loved riding his bike and trying to get girls into his bed but he had felt that his powers had given him a purpose. They had turned this kid who had been seen to have a waster attitude and was going to wind up dead in a horrible fiery crash on his bike as one of his high school teacher’s had told his aunt due to Johnny’s lack of enthusiasm for school. Yet Johnny had changed not by much but he had taken working as a hero damn seriously and that was something that he had proved time and again. After all when they had returned from space he could understand why Ben hadn’t liked what the storm had done to him but they could do things with these powers. They could help people and that was what Johnny was going to do. Ben might have seen his powers as a curse but to Johnny they were a gift. He knew that there was a lot of evil in the world and the good that he had done with his powers had been something that he was grateful for. Of course the media had flocked to him due to the fact that he was a public super hero; the fame had been a bonus yet to be known as a superhero and someone that kids looked up to that truly was what Johnny saw as the greatest part of his powers.
Turning the television on he saw that there was a robbery in progress at a museum. Running to Reed’s lab he sighed when it was empty before checking in the kitchen and Ben’s room. This meant that the rest of the team where out and he would have to fly this one solo. Guess it’s time to go to work. he said with a grin stripping down to his costume he moved out to the balcony before standing on the edge and jumping into the air. Flame on he called out as he began freefalling before he propelled himself into the air. Moving towards the museum he looked as people seemed to take note of the hero; this job might have been physically demanding but he did love it. Crashing through one of the windows of the museum he was unsurprised to find Dr Doom there. . Didn’t anyone ever tell you that museums don’t let you touch the exhibits Victor? If you put it down and back away I promise I won’t kick your ass again. Looking around he noticed that they weren’t the only people in the museum. Ok I’d change that I’d back down before we kick your ass.
