Full Name: Cassandra "Cassie" Elizabeth Sandsmark

"Victory is MINE Baldy!
And if you had any hair I'd take that too!"
And if you had any hair I'd take that too!"
Hair: Cassie usually wears her light blond hair down past her shoulders, her messy bangs are kept out of her face at all times to maximise her field of vision. She more often than not has something in her hair to keep it from distracting her, such as a hairband or goggles.
Eyes: Her pale blue eyes are large and almond shaped, which practically broadcast her emotions.
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 114lbs
Distinguishing Marks: Cassie has pierced ears
Appearance: Standing at 5 foot and 5 inches and being extremely slender, Cassie is hardly the most intimidating looking heroine out there. The "cute" looks that she has been blessed with from birth are slowly starting to mature, making it clear that she'll be a beautiful woman when she is older. However, Cassie has never been a fan of cuteness and is somewhat of a tomboy. Wearing dresses and things of that nature are something that she only endures at special occasions when her mother makes her. Her usual attire includes baggy things, preferring function over fashion. Cassie's "costume", if it can even be called that, is fairly simple. It features: a sleeveless black top that has a logo similar to that of Wonder Woman's, baggy red pants with a small cluster of stars on each outer thigh, worn with a belt with a clip to attach her lasso, her shoes are just running shoes and it's finished off with silver bracelets (also similar to Wonder Woman) and silver star ear rings. She also currently wears a black wig, held in place by goggles, as a tribute to Donna Troy, as well as to conceal her identity. However, she will soon be getting rid of it.
Face Claim: Taylor Momsen
"I’m not interested in making new friends,
I don’t even like the ones I have”
I don’t even like the ones I have”
Likes: Helping others, making a difference, having her powers, flying, pushing herself, Greek mythology, her mother, making friends, other superheroes, extreme sports (skateboarding, rock climbing etc.).
Dislikes: Losing her powers, failing, being called "cute", bullies, being underestimated, dresses, being held back because of her inexperience and youth.
Personality: Cassie is a pretty friendly girl all round and loves making friends. Unless she's given a significant reason not to, she'll be nice to just about everyone she meets. She tries her best not to hold things against people, but it isn't always successful. When she gets frustrated, Cassie has habit of getting rather snarky to people around her, but she means nothing by it, it's just how she deals with frustration. Since receiving her powers, all she has wanted to do is help people, even if it meant skipping any sort of training. However, after beginning her training with Wonder Woman, she quickly wanted to prove just how good she was. Cassie idolises other heroes and wants to be like them in the future, in particular, Wonder Woman and Donna Troy. A mix of determination and stubbornness has helped her train the best she could, not letting herself give up. Now that she has been brought back to "real life", she wants to spend every waking hour helping others and doing the whole superhero thing.
Her abilities have brought her great power, but they have also brought her arrogance. Cassie has no problem going toe to toe with people who she knows are incredibly strong. At her current level of experience, it's a massive vulnerability and could potentially cost Cassie her life if she isn't careful. She knows what she want and she's willing to do whatever she needs to get, with most things that is. While she may have no qualms about going into battle with superhuman foes, it's the every day things that she lacks confidence in. Recently, she's just started noticing boys and she doesn't feel confident around people whom she is attracted to. She'll still be friendly as usual, however she'll do her upmost to make sure that they don't know how she feels about them.
Being a tomboy, Cassie likes a lot of things that are consider "un-girly". Action movies, extreme sports and things that don't appeal to "normal" girls are her favourite things in the world. She's slightly geeky and occasionally fangirls over some of the big name superheroes. Watching Wonder Woman in action can even stop her in her tracks as she watches just how amazing she is. While she may not at the moment, Cassie will eventually begin to show extremely good leadership abilities, which will be gained through the experience of fighting crime and trying to save the world from whatever threatens it. She wants to prove that she can be just as good as Wonder Woman one day.
"With great power comes great responsibility"
Powers: Superhuman Strength: Because of Cassie's part-Olympian genetic structure, her bones and flesh are approximately 150% denser than a human's. Combined with the powers granted to her by Zeus, she is able to lift around 70 tons and her strength will grow as she gets older, peaking at around 100 tons. Thanks to her training with Wonder Woman, she has learned how to control her strength so that she doesn't rip doors of their hinges every time she wants to go somewhere.
Superhuman Durability and Recovery: Her powers and physiology give her a much higher resistance to both physical and magical attacks. When she is wounded, Cassie's wounds will heal much faster than humanly possible.
Flight: Cassie has the ability to fly through the air at blistering speeds. She is also immune to the effects of flying up high in the atmosphere, which means she won't pass out or get disorientated. However, there is a limit to the height she can fly, since she is unable to survive in outer space. Currently, if she pushes herself Cassie can reach just over the speed of sound, but this will also increase with age.
Superhuman Reflexes: Cassie's brain operates at such a level that her muscles can react much faster than normal. This is primarily used by her to deflect and catch bullets.
Superhuman Speed: She is able to move at the same speed as her flight, just over the speed of sound if she pushes herself. This again will increase with age.
Superhuman Agility: Her agility is much greater than that of even the greatest Olympic level athlete.
Superhuman Stamina: It takes an extremely long time for Cassie to get worn out, due to her physiology as well as the powers given to her by her father. The more she exerts herself, the quicker she will tire.
Weapons: Lasso of Lightning: Similar to Wonder Woman's Lasso of Truth, Cassie's lasso is also indestructible. However, where Wonder Woman's lasso forces people to tell the truth, Wonder Girl's has the power to emit lighting depending on how angry she is. Currently, because of her inexperience, her Lasso doesn't have the lightning ability and only works as an unbreakable restraint.
Bracelets: While not exactly weapons due to the fact that they are primarily for defence, Cassie's bracelets are almost identical to Wonder Woman's. They are indestructible and are used with startling precision to deflect bullets as well as just about anything else that may endanger Wonder Girl. Her current level of skill allows her to only occasionally deflect objects back to her opponent, but with practice she will become more proficient at this.
Strengths/Abilities: Amazonian training in both armed and unarmed combat. Her drive to help anyone in need. Her leadership qualities. Determination. Her desire to always help her friends.
Weaknesses: At any given time, Cassie's mother, Helena, is able to remove her abilities if she wishes with a simple touch. This will render Cassie next to helpless with only her part-Olympian physiology to fall back on.
Her inexperience, combined with her desire to push herself to her very limit will no doubt land her in trouble. She wants to be like the great superheroes like Wonder Woman and Superman but still has a lot to learn before she gets in the same league as them (no pun intended).

the sanest man alive to lunacy,"
the sanest man alive to lunacy,"
History: The story of Cassandra Sandsmark began nine months before she even entered the world. Her mother, Dr. Helena Sandsmark, an extremely respected archaeologist, was approached one evening by a mysterious man. Dr. Sandsmark wasn't the type of woman to sleep with a guy just after meeting them, but there was just something about this man that was different. At the time, she had no idea that the man was actually the Greek god Zeus disguising himself. After a night of passion, the man was gone and it was pretty obvious how her mother felt after that. Almost exactly nine months to the day after Dr. Sandsmark's night of passion, little Cassandra was born into the world. Despite the circumstances of her conception, her mother didn't love her any less.
As Cassie grew, her mother started to notice that she wasn't like most girls her age. Instead of dolls, Cassie much preferred action figures and cars. Any time she put a dress on her, Cassie looked extremely displeased, despite how cute she looked in it. When she was old enough to really have a proper say in how she looked, the young girl adopted a tomboyish look even down to cutting her hair extremely short. From a young age, Cassie was interested in the superheroes of her world. They gave hope to her, just like the billions of other people on the planet. She wished one day that she could be a superhero, while this may have been a common wish for a lot of young children, she had no idea that one day her wish would come true.
Dr. Sandsmark was a friend of Wonder Woman and although they didn't spend a lot of time together, Cassie would always fangirl over her on the rare opportunities they would meet. Out of all the heroes that she read about, Wonder Woman and Donna Troy in particular were her favourites. To be able to meet one of her idols was a dream come true. It was also what gave Cassie her first taste of the superhero lifestyle.
Whilst in Gateway City, Wonder Woman and Cassie's mother were working on archaeological artefacts that had recently been found in Greece. Wonder Woman quickly discovered that they were more than just your average findings and were actually tools from the gods themselves. It was an incredible find, however, Wonder Woman's presence along with the magical equipment quickly gained unwanted attention and a clone of the monster Doomsday attacked. Despite her great skill and strength, Wonder Woman seemed outmatched and it was clear to see. Like a kid at Christmas, the young Cassie quickly sported a makeshift superhero costume, buzz cut and all, and put on the Sandals of Hermes and the Gauntlets of Atlas, which provided her with super strength and the ability to fly. Dr. Sandsmark looked in horror as her young daughter rushed to the hero's aid. Despite her lack of experience, Cassie was able to provide enough of a distraction to help Wonder Woman gain the upper hand. While her mother was practically in hysterics, Wonder Woman praised Cassie's bravery.
Not long after, both Cassie and her mother actually met with Zeus himself. At the time they were unaware as to why he showed himself and assumed it was because Cassie had used the magical equipment. Upon meeting him, Cassie asked Zeus to fulfil her greatest wish, which of course was to have super powers. Zeus accepted on the condition that her mother allow it. Cassie begged and pleaded with her and reluctantly her mother allowed it. Zeus granted her wish, however, after making his other children uncontrollably powerful, he gave her mother the ability to remove her powers if she saw fit.
Soon after acquiring her powers, Wonder Woman took Cassie to Themyscira to learn the ways of the amazons, much to Cassie's dismay. All she wanted to do was go out and start helping people. Whilst there, she was trained by Artemis how to control her powers as well as advanced hand to hand combat. Her stubbornness and determination really showed as she hammered through her training. The days turned to weeks and Cassie lost track of just how long she had been there, the only clue to the time spent there was the fact that her hair had been a buzz cut when she arrived and was now down past her shoulders.
With a decent amount of training under her belt, Wonder Woman decided that Cassie should experience real life some more, she was still only fifteen at this point as was only young once. Cassie returned to an overjoyed mother and her career as a superhero could finally begin. Being such a fan of Donna Troy, Cassie decided to don a black wig whenever in costume. Not only would it help her feel like her idol, but it would also help hide her identity.
Now, Cassie is trying to get used to the new lifestyle. Her inexperience is her greatest weakness and she wants to fix that. To make matters worse, she is trying to learn how to adjust to fitting in her normal life around her superhero life and to top it all off, she's just started to discover boys. Being fifteen is hard enough, but when you're a part-Olympian superhero, it makes it just that little bit worse.

Your average fifteen year old girl had to worry about school, boys, popularity, fashion, all of the stuff that makes teenage years a living hell. Cassie Sandsmark had to worry about all those things too, although the fashion side of things was the least of her concern, as anyone who had seen her superhero costume could tell you. On top of all these things, Cassie had to worry about things that most girls her age wouldn't have to worry about. Things like: getting by another day without getting killed, keeping her superhero identity a secret to protect her friends and loved ones and not getting angry and accidentally destroying their home. So with things like that looming over her head constantly, why did Mrs. Torrance's math homework seem so much worse than all of those things combined.
"Trigonometry!? Who needs trigonometry!? Am I ever going to use it? No!" she frustratedly yelled to herself. As she leaned back in the chair in her bedroom, she glanced over at the components of her costume that were scattered on the floor. The though of sneaking out and beating up whatever criminals were unfortunate enough to be in her path definitely sounded appealing to her. Her lips curved into a smirk as she quickly got changed out of her clothes and into her costume. As she opened her bedroom window and put her foot on the ledge, Cassie heard the one thing that she was hoping she could avoid.
"Cassandra Elizabeth Sandsmark! Finish your homework and then you can go out. The world will still be there in an hour!" her mother called up to her
A look of defeat quickly replaced the look of excitement on her face as she sighed. "Okay, mom!" she replied before sitting back down in her chair. Resting her head in her hand, her mind wandered as she thought about what she could get up to on her next patrol. Superman had Lex Luthor, Batman had The Joker, Wonder Girl had Trigonometry.
