Hair: Dark black hair with graying/white sides and back, shaped in the style of a pompadour from the 30’s and 40’s . Think Frank Sinatra in his prime, not Elvis Presley.

Distinguishing Marks: Kal-L is in good shape, but isn’t built like a Greek God. His build is more similar to a well trained linebacker.

He is barrel chested, has a square-set jaw, a bit of a bull neck and age lines on his face. When wearing his Superman suit he has a very stern and mature posture, and often crosses his arms.
As Clark Kent (or whatever civilian name we end up using) he always wear’s a suit, and a pair of round glasses. He also always wears a fedora fur felt hat when he is outside. As Clark he acts like “one of the guys” instead of “Dork Kent”, rarely slouching and always walking with a confidence in his step unless he is trying to pull the wool over somebody’s eyes.

Personality: Kal-L is very much a man of his time. Born in 1914 he has fought in every major Earth Two American conflict since the Second World War until the Crisis on Infinite Earths. In his Superman suit he is very fatherly acting, but authoritative towards all he meets. Still sometimes his true personality comes threw, even in his blue suit, most often when he is toying with a bad guy or is around people he feels close to.
When he isn’t wearing his big S shield, he is a joker and kidder at heart. Often acting playfully and sarcastically with whoever he is talking to, despite his age he is often called a big kid. He also expresses the confidence of a man his age who has accomplished all the things he has. On his best days he can be very fatherly and isn’t afraid to guide people threw their troubles with the wisdom and life experiences he has accumulated over his almost 100 years of life.
On his worst days he can be very reactionary, and big headed. Clark believes his way is the best way, and doesn’t have much faith in new ideas until they prove their worth to him. He also doesn’t trust the leadership of most people, until they prove themselves by his standards to be worthy of such trust.
Clark has decades of experience. He comes at most situations from his three “career” fields, first there is the part of him that is a reward winning journalist. The second part comes from his former government work as a solider during the Second World War, the Korea Conflict, the Vietnam War, and the Crisis on Infinite Earths; being the man who delivered the final killing blow against the Anti-Monitor. Finally there is his career as a crime fighter, which has been going on since 1938.
Clark is a very traditional man who see it as his duty, and reason in life to protect the people he loves and cares about, as well as those who can’t protect themselves. Clark is a traditionalist culturally, believing in the importance of honor, justice, and duty with regards to “being a man“. Kal-L is a religious man, many a Sunday morning Clark can be found in a pew at a Methodist Church, the religion of his adoptive parents.
Kal-L is a very honest person. This was best exemplified when New Earth’s Wonder Woman tried using the Lasso of Truth on him, only for him to reply “Heroes from my Earth don’t need a magic rope to tell the truth! It’s what we do!”, and then shrugged off the magical weapon because of his blunt honest.
His biggest failure in life, and biggest regret was allowing his wife Lois to die and not being able to save her. His second biggest regret is trusting Alexander Luthor Jr, and Superboy- Prime, and allowing them to manipulate his beliefs and feelings.
"With great power comes great responsibility"
Powers: General Statement: As Kal-L has aged he became more powerful. When he first started his career as a crime fighter he could only leap about an 8th of a mile into the air, eventually he was able to fly at will into deep space with no help.
Kal-L was originally able to match his Earth One counterpart Kal-El when they first meet, the second time they meet though Kal-El had reached almost a Godlike level of power (such as being able to push planets around whenever he wanted, or extinguishing a star with his super breath, and destroying entire galaxies by sneezing) and had surpassed Kal-L. Superboy-Prime has also shown to be stronger then Kal-L but since Prime’s power is close to Earth One’s Kal-El that is not surprising. It is not known how powerful Kal-L is comparable to the modern Superman, when they fought each other a few years ago it ended up as a draw.
Specifics:
Superhuman Strength: Kal-L never had any reason to measure just how powerful he was on Earth-Two, he was always able to get the job done. With that said he was the man who delivered the final punch that killed the Anti-Monitor during the Crisis on Infinite Earths, and he was able to break into the New Earth Universe from the “paradise realm” he was transported to after the COIE using only his fist. During the Infinite Crisis of three plus ago, Kal-L was able to go toe to toe with Kal-El of New Earth, neither one able to get the upper hand on the other. The two only stopped fighting when Wonder Woman showed up and got the two talking instead of fighting.
Invulnerability: It takes a lot to hurt Kal-L. Whether you are talking about physically fighting, or immune system based invulnerability. Kal-L has never been sick as no Earthbound virus, bacteria, drugs, pheromones, or poisons have any affect on him. In fact if Kal-L wanted too he could drink a bottle of bleach, and it wouldn’t have any affect on him at all. Not that he’d want to drink bleach.
As far as physical wounds go Kal has gone toe to toe with such super heavyweights as the Anti-Monitor, and the Pre Crisis Ultraman of Earth Three. His Invulnerability isn’t absolute though as the pre-Crisis borderline God power level of Superboy-Prime was enough to kill him, even after most of their powers were not regenerated under the affects of Krytpon’s sun Rao.
Superhuman Stamina: Kal has the stamina of any Earth Two Kryptonian who’s powers have been adjusted by yellow solar radiation. Kal-L had never exhausted his Stamina, until the day Superboy Prime killed him well he was under the Red Sun rays of the star Rao.
Flight: When Clark originally started his career as a crime fighter back in 38 Kal-L could only leap an eighth of a mile into the air. As time passed his abilities increased and later on he was able to fly threw deep space with no outside help. During the events of the Infinite Crisis Kal-L and New Earth’s Superman flew Superboy Prime straight threw the Red Sun Rao.
Superhuman Speed: Kal-L isn’t able to tap into the amazing power of the Speed Force, but none the less he can run at very extreme speeds. He is faster then most people who do not use the Speed Force.
Super-Breath: Kal-L’s breath has the ability to create hurricane level force winds. He is also able to create “frost breath” by pulling his lips tighter together causing the temperature of the air he directs from his mouth to hit subzero levels and freeze at the rates he desires. Sometimes he uses this freezing power to cool down a nuclear reactor, other times he will use it to simply create ice cubes for his drink.
Super Hearing: When Kal-L concentrates he is able to hear things from miles away. With great effort he is able to pinpoint where a sound is coming from. In practice this means he can often hear somebody when they are talking when he wants to find them, if he has previous knowledge of what their voice sounds like. Beyond that though, there are times when Kal-L’s Super Hearing will react on it’s own often picking up screams for help and police and emergency services singles subconsciously. This often results in Kal leaving because he hears of nearby danger when he doesn’t expect it to.
Super Smelling: If he allowed himself Kal wouldn’t be able to stand living in most places because of his noses ability to pick up multiple different scents. Thanks to his minds ability to control his powers though this often isn’t a problem for him.
Heat Vision: Like other Kryptonian’s throughout the multiverse Kal-L is able to create a red beam of energy from each of his eyes the generates and extreme level of heat. He can control the size, heat level, and distance the beams travel threw concentrative efforts.
Super Vision: Despite wearing glasses for almost fifty years Clark’s vision is much better then normal human beings. That said this skill is divided into three different “types” which are listed below.
Telescopic Vision: With this skill Kal-L is able to see great distances away from where he is standing. By great distances we are talking about miles not feet.
X-Ray Vision: Although not technically “X-Ray Vision” in the truest sense of the word, it is never the less described as such for a matter of convenience. This power allows Kal-L to “peal back” different layers of an item and see what is beyond it. The only time this isn’t so is when an item or place is covered in lead. When something is “lead lined” Kal-L can only see the lead element itself and nothing under or beyond it.
Microscopic Vision: With this skill Clark can see things at a micro level. For example Clark can scan water to see if it is safe to drink or if it is contaminated.
Increased Intellectual Capacity and Abilities: Kal-L has an amazing memory and a high aptitude for using reason. With that said though he isn’t the “human computer” that the Earth One Pre Crisis Superman was.
Healing Factor: Although Clark is rarely bloodied and beaten, he does have a level of healing. Especially when in the yellow sun.
Multi Linguistic Knowledge of Many Languages, including Kryptonese the language of Earth Two’s Krypton: Clark has found it easy to learn different languages even alien based. He is also one of the last speakers of Earth Two Krytponese which has a different dialect then New Earth’s Kryptonese which has more of a similarity to Earth One. With all that said though, Clark has been gone for a long time and will sometime speak with older outdated slang because of this.
Mental Accelerators and limiters:The level of Kal’s abilities are only controlled by how much Clark allows his powers to be limited with his mind. Clark has spent his entire life learning how to control his powers, and when to “let go”, although he has never allowed himself to use his power at 100%. His minds ability to control his powers is what allows him to live with humanity as one of them
Weapons n/a
Strengths/Abilities: Investigative Reporter: Clark Kent/Kal-L spent the majority of his adult life as an investigative reporter of the old school. Although he may not be up to date on modern technology, social media, or current cultural trends he makes up for it with he great wealth of experience, deductive reasoning abilities, and understanding of human nature.
Editor-in-Chief: Towards the later half of his career, before the destruction of Earth Two by the Anti-Monitor, Kal-L had become the Editor-in-Chief of The Daily Star. Although he wasn’t always a “hands on” manager due to his occasional duties as Superman, Kal-L still knows how to bring out the best of the people under him, and how to reach goals in a timely basis.
Soilder: During the Second World War, the Korean War, and Earth Two’s Vietnam War Kal-L worked for Earth Two’s government as Bishop 6. Although Kal-L doesn’t enjoy killing, and was known to capture his enemies as oppose to killing them, he has had to kill in the past. He also has the heavy heart of a veteran, not only of the military campaigns of the Earth Two United States, but also as the survivor of now two reality altering events. First the Crisis on Infinite Earths, and then being resurrected after the event known as the “Infinite Crisis”. As such he has a practical and philosophical grasp military doctrine, and tactics of the mid 20th century.
Crime Fighting: Before being dragged into the “paradise realm” that eventually faltered, Kal-L had been fighting all kinds of Crime from 1938-1985.
High Moral Leadership: Kal-L has always been a symbol of hope, and an example of leadership to the people of Earth Two. He had a large impact on the way Earth Two’s heroes developed, and their level of high morality. In fact because of this Earth Two was known to be a more “simple” world, where right and wrong was somewhat black and white compared to the cultures on other Earths. This was best exemplified when New Earth’s Wonder Woman tried using the Lasso of Truth on him, only for him to reply “Heroes from my Earth don’t need a magic rope to tell the truth! It’s what we do!”, and then shrugged off the magical weapon because of his blunt honest.
Weaknesses: Kryptonite: Kal-L is only affected by Kryptonite from pre-crisis Earth Two’s Krypton. Since the entire Earth Two universe was destroyed during the Crisis On Infinite Earths, every piece of Earth Two Kryptonite has been destroyed.
Red Sun: Under the power of a Red Sun Clark reverts to the “normal” power of a Earth Two Kryptonian.
Magic: Well magic seems to affect all Kryptonians across the Multiverse to some level, Kal-L is much more susceptible to the power of magic then other Kryptonians. During World War II he was unable to fight against most of Nazi Germany because of the power of the Spear of Destiny. Although some of this has to do with the fact that Earth Two’s magic was more powerful because it drew much of Earth One’s magic away from it.
Kryptonians: Kal-L was not able to beat Earth One’s Kal-El the second time they fought when Kal-El power had reached God like levels. He was also unable to defeat Superboy- Prime who also reached an almost God like level of power due to his pre-Crisis origins. With that said he is able to go toe to toe with modern Kryptonians, having the around same power level as New Earth’s Superman.
Lead: Kal-L can not see threw lead with his X-Ray vision.

the sanest man alive to lunacy,"

History: Clark Jerome Kent was born 99 years ago, a few days before his adopted parents John and Mary Kent witnessed a spaceship (they thought it was a meteorite) crash in Schuster’s Field. Investigating the strange craft they were soon shocked to discover a newborn baby in the ship. Unknown to the Kent’s at the time, this ship was of Kryptonian origin, and this boy from the stars would one day be seen as one of Earth’s mightiest heroes. To them it didn’t matter at the time, because the young babe was nothing less then the answer to their prayers.
Although the Kents first brought the young boy to an orphanage, they eventually managed to make the authorities of Smallville, Kansas allow the middle aged couple to adopt the boy. Rumors at the time were that the young babe was a living hell to put up with for the few days he was at the orphanage. Around the Kent’s though, the babe was an almost perfect child, and they named him Clark.
Clark was then raised in the loving, hard working, and supportive Kent household. Mary Kent was liberal minded always trying new things even as she grew older, well John was as conservative and Earthly as the ground he worked so hard with to grow his crops in. Together they raised a son who became the very symbol of middle American Midwestern values on Earth Two.
As Clark aged he began to exhibit amazing powers. At the age of 13 Clark lifted the family tractor over his head with one hand, his parents realized that their all American boy wasn’t exactly like every other kid. They then told him what they knew about his past, and the fact that he came from the stars. After that time Clark decided to keep his powers a secret to the world at large, and began adopting even more human qualities, and customs to compensate. It was at this time that he began wearing non-prescription glasses to look more like his Mother and Father, both of whom wore glasses because of their bad eyesight.
Clark went threw high school and college, hiding his great powers, although he did prove to be a great college football star he always made sure that he didn’t use his abilities to unfairly affect the game. His true college love wasn’t sports anyways, but the written word. A love that eventually lead him to pursue a degree in journalism. His times at college were only interrupted once, the day his mother Mary died. He traveled back home to bury her, and to help his father for a few weeks on the farm before returning and finishing school.
Four years later with his journalism degree in hand Clark went out to prove himself to the world. After spending six months as assistant Editor of the Smallville Post, Clark began traveling around the world as a freelance journalist. For a year he showed up all over the world often using his powers when he could to help others, until after returning to the United States, he found himself in the city of Metropolis. From there he worked his way to the front of the Daily Star building where he got a job at the great metropolitan newspaper. It was here that Editor in Chief George Taylor teamed him up with the paper’s star reporter Lois Lane, much to Miss Lane‘s disappointment and over her loud objections.
Soon after arriving in Metropolis Clark found it more difficult to help people out how he wanted without drawing suspicion to himself. Clark did not want to give up his personal life, and was afraid of his powers being discovered, yet he could not being himself to turn a blind eye to peoples suffering so Clark returned to his parents house to discus the issue with his Father.
When he returned home he discovered that his Father was dying. His Father gave his son some advice about life, and then directed his boy to his Mother’s hope chest. There in the attic Clark found that his mother Mary had made a costume out of the baby blanket that they had found him in so many years ago, some people would later think it made him look like a circus performer. Returning to his Father’s side, he told John that he would fight for the things that his parents had taught him, and then simply held his father’s hand as he passed onto his great reward.
Clark first exhibition of his powers came when Air Ship Prometheus ‘ launch was sabotaged. Unlike the Hindenburg before it, Clark was able to save the Prometheus from being destroyed by saboteurs. When Clark saved the day he came face to face to his reporting partner Lois Lane. Much to his original surprise, his co-worker didn’t notice who he was without his glasses on and with a different hairstyle. It was after this event that he was dubbed “Superman” by Lois, and the rest of the world media. It was also the first time he stole a kiss from her, something that she would remind him of many times as the years passed.
From then on the careers of Clark both blossomed, to levels that he could never have predicted. As Superman he became a symbol of truth, justice, and the American Way the world over. As Clark his journalist career flourished and the reporting team of Lane and Kent, became even more famous then Woodward and Bernstein is in our world.
At the start the Second World War Clark volunteered to fight on the side of the Allies. Kal-L’s cover story for Clark Kent was that he had joined the famous Eagle Squadron and thought against the Nazi‘s in the air. Kal-L was a powerful force in European Theater when he could actually fight, yet he was unable to overcome the power of Hitler’s Spear of Destiny. Every time Kal-L tried to push into sovereign German territory the Spear of Destiny would vap him of his strength, often leaving him with blood coming out of his ears, nose, and eyes. The Holocaust of European Jew’s happened, as it did on our world with Kal-L being unable to stop it, and it became one of his life long regrets, always blaming his inability to surpass the Spear’s power for the murder of so many innocent people.
Unlike our world; Superman was able to end the war in the Pacific without the need for the United States to drop the atomic bombs. Unfortunately, Harry Truman’s distrust of Joseph Stalin pushed him to detonate an atomic bomb over Nagasaki anyways as a sign of American power, against the possibility of Soviet Communistic imperialism. This act started the Cold War on Earth Two, an event that never was resolved as it was on our world due to Earth Two being destroyed during the events of the Crisis on Infinite Earths.
Returning home Clark found himself under the rules of new Daily Star Editor in Chief Perry White, George Taylor having died well Clark was fighting in World War II. Reunited with his partner Lois they had many adventures together, eventually going from rivals, to friend, to best friends, to boyfriend/girlfriend, to lovers, to marriage, to soul mates.
Clark would stay by his wife’s side for the majority of her life (whom he teasingly called “Mrs. Superman”, well she called him “Mr. Lane” in kind) only leaving her side during the Korean and Vietnam War. As time went by Clark’s career as Superman started taking a back seat in the world at large as new heroes began to rise. This new generation idealized Kal-L as they followed his examples, and leadership. It was during this time that he began to concentrate on his journalist career. Clark eventually became Editor in Chief of the Daily Star, although he continued to partner up with Lois as he had been since the later 30s, hiring an assistant Editor in Chief to run the daily events well he went out on assignment with Lois.
As the days went by the happy couple lived a normal life, with no major changes until one day a spaceship landed, and Superman discovered it carried his teenage cousin Kara Zor-L, who‘s craft had taken considerably longer to reach Earth. Clark and Lois quickly adopted her, and gave her the name Karen Starr, although in honor of her adopted parents she sometimes went by the name Karen Kent.
It wasn’t long after this that the Crisis on Infinite Earths began. Kal-L like many warriors from across the cosmos took part in the battle against the reality destroying Anti-Monitor. It was during this time that Earth Two’s entire universe was destroyed by the anti-monitor. Heartbroken at the prospect of being without the love of his life, and for being the survivor of another dead world Clark was ready to die, but not before getting his revenge.
It was Kal-L who finally smashed the Anti-Monitor into millions of pieces during that battle that took so many billions of lives. Although victorious Kal-L was still ready to die, and had no interest in living anymore, the fire that had guided him for so long having been seeming stuffed out, and his heart not being able to get over his lost. That was until Alexander Luthor showed that he had SAVED Lois Lane! With his wife in his arms once more, Clark was ready to move forward to the next stage of his life, and he found himself in a pocket dimension with Alexander Luthor Jr, Superboy-Prime, and his wife for the next few decades.
From their pocket universe Kal-L and his wife watched as the New Earth developed full of hope, and proud of what they had done. Although both had lost everything, their friends, their family, their jobs, their entire world: they took comfort in each others arms, as they watched this New World develop. Back then everything seemed so hopeful, so positive, the world seemed like it had reached a new dawn.
But having a front row seat at watching the New Earth came at a price. They watched the world turn considerably darker as time went on from it‘s hopeful start. As the Earth became darker, their refuge began to wrap from a heaven, into a kind of hell, especially towards Lois who continued to get sicker and weaker as time passed.
Finally at his breaking point with the world as it had developed, and with his wife getting weaker by the hour Kal-L acted. Believing that the sacrifice of his entire world’s existence had been in vain, and believing that he could save his soul mate from dying by bringing back their home, Kal-L began pounding his fist against the dimensional wall, declaring proudly that “This is a Job For Superman!”, his righteous fist punched into the universe of New Earth, destroying the pocket dimension as he moved forward.
After smashing threw into the new world, Clark searched for his adoptive daughter. Finding her in the clutches of a giant woman named Giganta who was trying to crush the life out of her he took direct action as he always had in the past. It was at that moment that the sun broke threw, welcoming the original superhero back to be the universes savior once again. Clark smashed into the giant at super speed knocking her out and saving his daughter from any further danger. He simply said to her “It’s been a long time cousin, TOO long.”
Clark then brought Power Girl into the fold of what he thought was returning the world to the “right” path. Power Girl was originally hesitant and found what she was being told hard to believe, until she touched Lois’ hand. Touching her adoptive Mother’s hand had a strange affect on Power Girl, reawakening memories of her former life. With eyes filled with tears she hugged her adoptive father/cousin, and finally began to feel whole again.
Kal-L then left his adoptive daughter and wife to catch up well he meet with the modern Batman offering him a chance to help them on their plan to recreate “the right” world, and by extension relieving him of his anger and need to be the Batman. He told Bruce, that the Bruce Wayne he knew eventually was able to let go of his hatred, and allowed himself to be loved. Brucae Wayne of Earth Two had a child, and was able to live a truly complete life, he was able to fully develop as a human being. Although tempted a bit at first Bruce asked if his Dick Grayson was a corrupted version of Kal-L’s Dick Grayson, which Kal-L admitted honestly that he wasn’t.
Bruce then turned him down and attempted to use the Kryptonite Ring that New Earth’s Superman had given him on Kal-L. Although the Kryptonite didn’t hurt him physically, it did hurt Kal-L emotionally, and reinforced his view that this world was unable to trust, care, and love. With sadness in his eyes that this Bruce was not like the one he knew, Kal-L used his heat vision to melt the ring, and left heartbroken that his best friend was no more and that this Bruce couldn‘t be saved from the darkness of his parents death.
Well Alexander Luthor kidnapped Power Girl and placed her in his tower, Superboy Prime attacked Conner Kent, Krypto, the Teen Titans, and the Justice Society. Well this all was going on Kal-L was simply holding the hand of his dying wife, concentrating completely on her and ignoring the world at large. Hoping beyond hope that the love of his life would survive.
When Alexander activated his tower, Kal-L and Lois were sent to the recreated Earth Two. Appearing in front of the Daily Star building Lois at first was seemingly healthy again, but then her strength left her and she died in Clarks arms, despite his tears and he begging of God to spare her. As Kal-L cried the modern Superman appeared on Earth Two, having heard Kal-L‘s scream even though he was on a different Earth.
When Kal-L saw Kal-El he automatically blamed him for killing his wife. Believing that he had brought the corruption of New Earth to his perfect Earth Two and thereby caused Lois’ strength to disappear, and subsequent death. Kal-L grabbed a nearby car and smashed it over Kal-El’s head. The two Supermen then began to fight each other, living a lifetime in each others shoes with every punch.
Kal-L continued to believe that New Earth was not worth saving and that it had killed the love of his life, and continued to harm the innocents that existed in all of creation. When Wonder Woman placed her Magic Lasso around Kal-L, the Earth Two Kryptonian became insulted and stated that he didn’t need a magic lasso around him to tell the truth, it’s what people from his world did.
He then laid out his reasoning for despising what the modern heroes had become, leaving his biggest scorn towards the man who had taken the mantle that he had created, blaming Kal-El’s inability to lead for the failure of the New Earth hero community.
Kal-El simply responded that Kal-L’s universe couldn’t be perfect, because a perfect Earth wouldn’t need a Superman. These words shocked Kal-L to his core as he slowly realized that Kal-El was right. He then tried started heading back towards Earth One, in order to stop Alexander and Superboy Prime, but not before stopping one final time to his wife. He kissed her and then took her wedding ring from her finger and took it for himself.
Alexander Luthor then began combining multiple Earths, attempting to create the “perfect Earth”. When Superboy-Prime returned from the speed zone that the Flashes had trapped him in, he quickly took control of the situation and began fighting back against the assembled heroes killing people. Conner Kent then jumped him and the two began fighting again until Prime and Conner destroyed Alex’s tower bringing about the new 52 Earths, and bringing the majority of heroes back to New Earth.
Kal-L then began to realize just how wrong he was before, seeing that he had condemned that wrong Superboy well also praising a being who had become almost completely evil. When Metropolis became overrun by supervillians, Kal-L accompanied the heroes and took the fight to the enemy.
Well Kal-L and Kal-El defeated the monster Doomsday, Superboy-Prime headed towards Oa planning to destroy it, in order to create a new Big Bang. After confronting Alexander for betraying him, Kal-L took to the skies and followed Prime. Kal-L pleaded for Prime to stop and to end the madness, but his pleas fell on death ears.
Hal Jordan called on the entire Green Lantern Corps to prepare for war, and Kal-L took flight threw the universe following the boy who had turned into a psychopath wearing the symbol that he had created. Kal-L and Kal-El grabbed Superboy-Prime and took him threw the destroyed ruins of Krpyton, and then threw the giant Red Star Rao, landing on the planet Mogo.
Well there Superboy-Prime beat Kal-L to with an inch of his life. Kal-L seemingly died in the hands of his daughter/cousin Kara. Thinking back to the day his own father died, Kal-L passed on one final message to his daughter, hoping that it would push her forward as his own father‘s word had pushed him forward in life. He then felt himself being pulled to what he believed would be his great reward. The final word from his lips being the name of the woman who had been the most important to him. “….Lois.”
After this event Kal-L’s corpse was used by the evil Black Hand and his Black Lantern Power rings to terrorize the Superman family of New Earth. Eventually his body was destroyed by his adoptive daughter, and Mister Terrific. Kal-L has no memory of this event though, as he soul was not part of the revival process.
But instead of going to his great well earned reward, he instead found himself on the outskirts of a strange city. Kal-L isn’t sure how much time has passed since his death, how he was returned to the living, or what has been going on since then.

rebuild this place outta Lego."
Writing Sample:It was like a dream recalled, or rewatching a damaged VCR tape. It was coming back to him now but only in grainy, almost static covered memories. Concentrating as hard as he could Kal-L began to remember bits and pieces of the past.
The boy just kept hitting him, over and over. There was nothing he could do about it. It was almost as if destiny was playing out, and he was a puppet who couldn’t react because the grand designer refused to pull his strings. The boy was screaming , and crying. Kal-L could feel the heartbroken sadness in the child’s heart as his fist smashed into his skull. Innocents lost further as a child attacks his idol, and an old man’s body finally began to break down, after thousands of battles.
The boy was off him now. Kal-El? Time to get up and help, but he simply couldn‘t. He could feel that his bones were broken. For once the hero was broken, his time was up he could just tell. This wasn’t like all those other battles he had survived. His skull was fractured into to many pieces this time. There were to many broken bones this time, and he for once couldn‘t will himself to get up. Even Alexei Luthor never damaged him like this, nor could the Anti-Monitor the very destroy of his home universe. His eyes then automatically shut into utter darkness, he wondered for a moment if he would begin to see the light his Mother told him about so many years ago when he was a boy growing up on the farm. Suddenly though Kal-L’s mind began to react again, as if he sensed something. Was he about to see the hand of God?
Wait not yet. Kara? Yes, he could sense her. He had to give her hope, tell her how much he and Lois loved her. This was all worth it to see her again, it was almost time, he could put up with the pain for a few more moments to attempt to ease the mind of the woman who was her daughter every way but biologically. Almost time to be reunited with the love of his life, the woman who had such a big hand in creating the real Superman Legend.
His eyes began shutting again, and he could barely remember what he had said just a few moments before. He could feel her sadness, and wanted to place his hand on her cheek like he did when she was a young teenager he had found in that spaceship, but his body didn’t want to do it. At the end, his mind goes back one final time.
“Lois…..”
Another memory. This one more of a flash. It was bright and Clark was at peace, he had never felt such happiness. Lois’ head was firmly resting against the inside of his shoulder like she had a thousand times before. Kal smiled as he held her tighter, she didn’t have to say I love you they both knew it, and sensed it instinctively from each other in way that they never had before. You didn’t have to speak here unless you wanted to. I love you. She started saying it to him, as he slowly started swaying her back and forth. Their wedding song started playing, and all was right in the world.
More static, and then darkness. This time though his head was ringing and he could taste the strange metallic flavor of his own red blood in his mouth. Kal-L spit it out defiantly, as he eyes began working. The Kryptonian then began to focus on the strange praying mantis type being in front of him, his ears began to hear the sound of a roaring crowd. Then the mantis being lunged towards him again, and Kal-L instantly flung his fist forward threw the beast outer shell, and into it‘s torso. The creature life juices began to squirt all over the place as Clark used his free hand to grab the creatures lower jaw, and then he ripped the being’s head from its neck. The worst thing about it, was that he didn’t seem to be doing it himself. Kal-L then held the decapitated insect head above his own, and the crowd’s cheers grew louder, and then darkness.
The darkness seems to last forever, but then there was an echo of someone screaming. It was almost silent at first, but continued to grow closer and closer to him. Then Clark felt something grinding almost against his skull, and then suddenly it stopped and he felt something tearing out. His eyes opened clearly for the first time then, and the first thing he could see clearly was a strange piece of square plastic in his bloody right hand. It was no larger then an inch wide in each direction, and then his eyes began to loses focus again. Kal then suddenly felt the need to run as fast as he could, as he flung his body threw some kind of metal.
------------------------
That was all Kal-L could remember with any level of clarity as he sat solemnly under the tree that was next his and his wife’s gravestone. Using his X-Ray vision on the ground again, the truth was unmistakable both he and his wife’s Lois grave was empty. He picked up a small twig and gently started breaking it under his powerful fingers.
The Earth Two Kryptonian felt great physically, he just couldn’t remember anything clearly. The last image he could see clearly was, was….
“Prime….” He muttered to himself. “You stupid boy. You…..”
His eyes were focusing better now, as he continued to look around at the large trees that periodically arose above the limestone grave markers. . Looking upwards The Last Man of Earth Two noticed the big dipper in the night sky, and Kal-L began to feel slightly depressed by everything, as he started to mutter to himself.
“I’m not dead? I’m on Earth again? How did I end up here?” He slowly rose to his feet, his body momentarily aching as he did. It wasn’t the pain of any broken bones, in fact he hadn’t felt this good in a long time, but his body reacted as if it hadn’t been in used for a long time. His eyes scanned the area around him again, first regularly, and then with his microscopic and x-ray vision.
Kal-L then took a few deep breath’s when he felt something under his blue “crime fighting” suit. It was his wedding band, and his wife’s wedding ring placed on a strange looking metal chain. Tears began filling his eyes slowly, as his fingers slowly touched the necklace around his neck. Whatever the hell was going on, he owed the person who had saved these rings for him.
“Now I know how Alice felt when she went down the rabbit hole.” Clark said as he slowly rose to his feet. “But whoever saved Lois’ ring for me is someone I owe a debt of gratitude for.”
Suddenly Kal-L began hearing millions of voices all at once, he brought his hands up to his ears and covered them. It was like the first time he had noticed his super hearing when he was a boy all over again. Kal-L then closed his eyes and concentrated for a minute, and the voices slowly began to die away.
If there was that many voices though, it meant a city had to be nearby. The Last Son of Earth Two’s Krypton then took a deep breath, and checked the area again. Still no one, but that was the best case scenario for this moment.
He slowly took to the air passing beyond the limbs threw the tree tops until they looked like small pieces of broccoli to him. Kal-L’s eyes then turned northwards where he saw a huge city, and a large futuristic building with one huge globe that had rings around it on top, with two words lit up in neon lights. Daily Planet.
“Metropolis.” Clark said to himself slowly. But who’s? It seemed like New Earth’s Metropolis, but it was a bit darker and grimmer then when he last saw it in the paradise dimension. Then again how long had he really been gone? There was only one way to find out. Clark slowly headed towards the city, lowing his altitude the closer he got.
