Full Name: Natasha Alianovna Romanov

"Victory is MINE Baldy!
And if you had any hair I'd take that too!"
And if you had any hair I'd take that too!"
Hair: Red, shoulder length and usually worn down for the sake of getting the job done.
Eyes: Blue, bright and attentive, almond shaped and used to attract her prey.
Height: Five feet, seven inches
Weight: One hundred thirty-one pounds
Distinguishing Marks: Her ears are pierced, and she bears a few scars from past missions and exploits, many of which are hidden beneath the body suit that she wears.
Appearance: Rather slight for a woman her age, Natasha Romanov is in top form both physcially and mentally, which is essential considering her position as a SHIELD Agent. She wears her red locks around shoulder length so that it is versatile enough to work for her undercover missions as well as field work, and uses her intense blue eyes as a means of distraction for most men who become her targets for one reason or another. While working, she wears a body suit that houses her pistol and ammunition within easy reach, something that also allows her free movement of her body for the more physical side of her job. However, she is also known to wear some rather tight and form flattering clothes, most of which are used so that she can put on another appearance to get close to her targets.

Personality: Well, let's be real here. When someone tells you to think of Natasha and say what comes to mind, friendly and compassionate are not even close to the top of the list. Not to say that she isn't capable of such feelings, but past experiences have taught her that they are not to be given lightly and should be used with the utmost of caution. Instead, one would peg her as being professional, a real bad-ass warrior who isn't afraid of the cost of her missions when it is her own life in her hands. When others become involved and complicate matters, she tends to re-think and create an alternative plan of action, making her quick thinking an essential part of her personality and career.
Overall, Natasha is a fighter, someone who won't give up without taking a couple of people down with her. While she once operated alone and made it her job to kill people, she has since made the turn around to join SHIELD and finds herself almost liking the idea of being part of a team, though she doesn't necessarily like it all the time. She understands that having too many different personalities working together can create more conflict than required for things to succeed, but she is willing to put such thoughts aside if there is a possibility of getting to their ultimate goal in the end. And in addition to that, Nat has learned the importance and value of lies, many of which have kept her alive through various missions.
"With great power comes great responsibility"
Powers: As a human being, Natasha does not possess any kind of superhuman powers. However, special treatments from the government have slowed her aging process and made her far more durable than your average human being.
Weapons Black Widow sometimes wears two bracelets equipped to discharge the "widow’s bite," high-frequency electrostatic bolts of up to 30,000 volts, capable of stunning even a superhuman opponent at a range of at least 20 feet, shoot tear gas cartridges and act as a radio transmitter. The bracelets’ different functions are activated by galvanic sensors keyed to Black Widow’s wrist musculature. At times she carries plastic explosive discs equivalent to 4 pounds of TNT in her belt and uses automatic weapons and/or combat knives as necessary. However, her preferred weapon of choice, should she be unable to use any of those weapons or have the option, is her own body, which she often uses in hand to hand, close quarters combat.
Strengths/Abilities:

Her loyalty to her allies
Knowing which side of the game she is on
Maintains an emotional distance from most people
Weaknesses:
Maintains an emotional distance from most people
Can be hurt by bullets, knives and other weapons
Is questioning her judgement about a member of the team

History: Born around 1928, Natasha was orphaned when a fire broke out in the building she had been living in with her family, leaving the child in a mountain of rubble from which she somehow managed to escape. Rescued by a Soviet soldier, he kept a close eye on the young woman until the late 1930's when she attracted the attention of Soviet Intelligence. She was nearly brainwashed into serving the ninja group known as the Hand when she was saved by the same Soviet soldier, Wolverine and Captain America, and managed to live a somewhat normal life until the end of the war and she was recruited for the Black Widow Program. The program was intended to train young females into elite soldiers of war, with each one given a cover as to why they were all together in such a time. For Natasha, she was trained as a ballerina in addition to her studies for the program, a cover used to keep anyone who wasn't supposed to know about the program, out of it.
Once her training was complete, Natasha was sent to deal with several important people in the world of technology, people who could pose a threat to Mother Russia and needed to be taken care of. Among them were Anton Vankov and Tonk Stark, both leading experts in their respective fields who had the knowledge to keep Russia at bay following the way. While she was able to romance Tony and steal a piece of his weaponry, he eventually managed to deactivate the weapon and prevent further sabotage on her part. It was around the same time that the American military began to notice her appearance more often and sent in one of their best, Agent Clint Barton, to deal with her. But, for reasons he never divulged to her, Clint couldn't bring himself to let the string go and befriended her instead, showing her a whole new way of life...and ultimately being the reason that she was recruited by SHIELD.
Now one of it's top agents, Natasha struggles to do enough good to wipe out the amount of red in her ledger, erase the blood on her hands. While a part of her knows that she will never be able to find a balance between the two, she does not allow such thoughts to enter her mind when she is on a mission, having again served as an agent assigned to keep an eye on Tony Stark and become a member of the Avengers. She continues to work for this team of elite heroes, having recently saved the world from an alien invasion that would have been brought about by Loki, brother of Thor and a member of the Avengers as well. While the world appears safe for the time being, Natasha knows differently, keeping an eye on her teammates as they separate for the time being as she waits for the next mission, and a time when the Avengers are once again needed to defend the planet.

ime...it felt like the one thing she no longer had.
cramming for her midterms had ensured that there were a large number of nights without sleep, stuffed full of law textbooks that used obnoxiously large words, caffeine and sugar to keep herself going, and the occasional loud noise to ensure that the blonde was on her toes and ready to react to anything. after all, courtney whitmore was not allowed to sleep, but that didn't mean that stargirl was allowed to fall behind on her job and miss a call, right? that wasn't exactly something that was permitted among the superheroes of the world, especially when there were so few of them to begin with. sure, there was the odd time when there were so many people around her that courtney felt like she could barely breathe, but in the end she had to look at how many of them there were compared to others in the entire universe and beyond. in reality, they were a huge minority.
delicate fingers dropped the pen and reached up to rub her exhausted eyes, knowing that she wouldn't be able to focus on the small font of her books for too much longer before her eyes fell out of her head. she'd been at this all weekend, having shut herself away from the hustle and bustle of college life so that she could study and pass her exams. she'd lost a huge amount of time with the heroics she'd been forced to perform lately, and it had forced her to fall a little behind in her classes. but it was worth it, right? her thoughts were so muddled up that courtney was lucky she could still tell up from down and left from right...and she wasn't entirely sure that she could even do that right now. there was so much going on her mind that it was a wonder she was still functioning.
"i have got to pass these," she reminded herself aloud, running her fingers through her hair as she blinked her baby blues up at the ceiling. "even if it means i miss a day or two of patrol. they'll all understand, right?" while her mind was certain that some of them would, there were sure to be others who had something to say to the girl about her responsibilities. responsibilities, she thought bitterly....she'd dealt with her fair share of those over the last nineteen years. how many other kids her age could say that they were a freaking superhero, for crying out loud?
