Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] Sinestro didn’t approve of how he was feeling. It must have had something to do with all the recent changes he had been trying to deal with. Somehow, all his irritations had completely exhausted him, making his body sore and difficult to move. It felt like his body was just rejecting the idea of him distracting himself with hard work, his muscles aching more than he would have thought. It had been a long time since he had felt so worn- normally he was pretty good about pushing himself through things. And, naturally, he was going to blame the conversation he’d had with his daughter. What else would it have been? Clearly he had been turned onto his head thanks to her.
Or he was sick and he was just stubbornly denying it, even to himself.
He moved through the back streets, a barrier around himself as a few thuggish humans shot at him with their ill-acquired guns. He planted himself on the ground, keeping the barrier up as he pointed his ring back at them. It had taken much longer to deal with a simple drug bust than he would have anticipated flying into it, even if he was feeling a little under the weather. Coughing, the Green Lantern’s arm wavered a moment, his shot going wild and crashing into a wall instead of a human. Growling, annoyed more with himself than his enemies, he pushed himself to focus up, adjusting his aim and firing again. This time, the thug went flying back, hitting the ground in a pile of unconscious criminal intent. One down, two to go.
Sinestro wobbled, losing focus for a moment as a dizzy spell took him over. A bullet shot past his face, his barrier having dissolved from his lack of will power. To avoid getting shot full of bullets, he ducked behind a dumpster, cursing his luck. No, damnit, he was fine- he could deal with some stupid human drug dealers.
So he made his ring spring back to life, leaping out from the dumpster to create a large mallet. It swung at his former hiding spot, smashing the dumpster towards the other two men. They both yelped in horror as one was struck by the dumpster, the other leaping out of the way just in time to be clobbered in the face by the same hammer from before. In that rush of adrenaline, Sinestro had managed to knock out all three of the men, though he felt worse for wear because of it. Coughing some more, the lantern stumbled slightly to one side, resting a hand against the nearest wall.
Just a moment to rest, then he could get back to work.
He sighed lowly, trying to get his heart rate back down. He really didn’t like this whole ‘tired’ feeling, and the muscle pain wasn’t helping. Truth be told, he was feeling pretty warm as well, though surely that was just because he had been working so hard. Former dictators didn’t get fevers- they didn’t get sick.
He just needed to pull himself together, that was all.

But she had not had the chance to search for the Teen Titans at that point. Instead she had been distracted by the teleporting Mal. So back was the Titan in Los Angeles, searching for any of her former team memebers. It probably would turn out to be a place devoid of her team mates, like so many other places that Raven had searched through. But the Titan was used to it. Besides, it gave her something to do. But travelling around a city in a cloak with a raven shadow over one's face caught attention and eventually someone had come up to talk to Raven. It was a teenager, who looked worried. Apparently he had heard about a drug dealing going on.
So after calming the boy down, the Titan had headed to the area as quickly as possible. Yes, it wasn't helping her find her former team mates, but helping out the public was her duty and she enjoyed protecting people. So teleporting off, Raven was actually a bit off on her location and isntead flew towards the sound of a fight. Maybe one of her former team mates were ahead of her? Although it was more likely that she would meet some other superhero on the job. She just didn't let her hopes get up. One of the important things that Raven had been attempting was making sure that her emotions were under control and not released.
Still, Raven was rather suprised when she arrived, hovering in the air and saw a red skinned alien doing battle (while apparently suffering). Two men were facing Sinestro, but another was sneaking around. The Titan noticed that Sinestro did not appear to notice this manevouer. So the silently Titan moved down using her soul-self, the giant black raven cluthing the man in it's taloned claws. He was too shocked to do anything as she moved him away from the alien (Who Raven was going to assume was was ill of some sort). "You will surrender." [/b] The Titan said as the dark raven moved back into her and she quickly removed the weapon. He was still shocked, although Raven wondered why he had been less shocked by a red skinned alien summoning weapons. Then, Raven worried that she might have been using her powers. Raven had used her powers to influence fear before and it was an effective weapon. Then again, it had been a sudden suprise attack from a fully healthy superhero. Using her telekinetic powers, Raven confined the other human and looked at him. Should she knock him out? Would her confinement keep? Eventually, the Titan tossed him to the ground with the others when he started to struggle and reach for a knife. Moving forward to check the pulses of the men, Raven acknowledged Sinestro's presence. All the men appeared to be fine. Then, Raven turned to adress the Green Lantern. "I'm going to take these men to the police, then you are going to rest."[/b] The Titan said as she gave Sinestro a pointed look, she would not take no as an answer. [/blockquote][/div] [/style]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] The Green Lantern looked more than a little surprised when Raven swooped in to help him out. Apparently there had been a fourth man, though Sinestro had not been aware of him. Damn his clouded senses- it made it difficult to know which way was up, much less who else could have been around him at the time. He hadn’t even been focused on his ring at the time, so he hadn’t scanned anyone being around. It had just been a bad moment for him.
How charming that someone had been around to see his blunder.
Frowning, he watched as Raven made short work of the man, annoyed but not completely unappreciative. Until the young girl thought it was in her right to tell him what to do- then he got mildly annoyed with her. Stiffening, the man huffed indignantly, trying to look as composed as an ill, pale alien could after almost getting jumped by a mere human. “I’m fine,” he grumbled, “I don’t need you telling me what I do and don’t need to do.” He frowned, getting a little more than grumpy about it. The last thing he liked was someone telling him to do something.
He had spent much too long in charge, perhaps.
“There are still other drug deals going down at this moment,” he continued after a spasm of coughs, “this was just… the first of a string of deals led by the same group of people. I intended on stopping them all.” And he usually accomplished what he set out to do. Even if he was feeling under the weather, his work was much more important. After all, someone needed to clean up the crime in the area. It didn’t seem like the other heroes were doing much about it.
Slowly, he pushed himself away from the wall, doing his best not to look like he was ready to fall flat on his face. Whether or not he was pulling it off, however, was up in the air. He imagined he didn’t look entirely sturdy on his feet. There was a slight wobble in his step, so he took to the air to prevent it from being seen, hovering just above the ground as he watched the young hero musing over the bad guys.
“I wouldn’t be so quick to order about your elders,” he informed her after a moment, “just because you happened to get lucky- I would have been able to deal with things on my own. I am just.. .a little tired, I suppose.” He didn’t know anything about earth illnesses, but he had been sick a couple times in his life. He knew enough about the illnesses from his home world for a comparison.
And he was going to ignore all his knowledge and pretend he was fine.

The alien had not noticed the fourth human, it was obvious that he was not well. Still, Sinestro did have fight in him, for Raven picked up his annoyance as she gave him the order to rest. Was it really so hard for him to accept that he was ill? Maybe I should have tried to use reverse psycology. Raven thought as she regarded the emotions around her. Usually Sinestro was a bit more compossed about his emotions, although maybe the emotions would lessen some more when they had gotten past the fact that she had caught him fighting when he was in no state to even be out of bed.
]“I’m fine,” At that, the Titan rolled her eyes, appearing more like the teenager she was. “I don’t need you telling me what I do and don’t need to do.” "Yes, you are fine and I am an angelic duck." The Titan pointed out, dryly. For Raven, it was obvious that the Green Lantern was sick, she had seen people sick and she could feel some of the pain brought on by the sickness. However, healing things such as illnesses was really not Raven's gift and she wondered if Soranik would be able to help Sinestro. Although the case was more likely whether she was willing.
“There are still other drug deals going down at this moment,” After that, Sinestro burst into a coughing fit and Raven wondered how that was being 'fine'. As he was finished, Raven let the red skinned alien finish. “this was just… the first of a string of deals led by the same group of people. I intended on stopping them all.” "Let me deal with it. I can get you back to your base and then finish off this dealing. Or, if you prefer, I can give the police the information and make sure you rest." [/b] Raven said, the second part what Raven suspected she might have to do. Watching Sinestro, the Titan noticed that he was hovering in the air, most likely so he didn't have to support his own weight. “I wouldn’t be so quick to order about your elders,” Raven sighed. "Okay, look at it this way. You are a guest on this planet and all the people are playing host. So it is our right to make sure that you remain in good health and are fed. Besides, I'm sure Sora needs company, you can't leave a kitten by herself for too long."[/b] Raven commented as she examined the men, wondering how quickly she could teleport them to the police station and then catch Sinestro before he escaped (She didn't think he would wait around for her to return and take him back). But it may be better to take Sinestro with her, and then go to his base. “just because you happened to get lucky- I would have been able to deal with things on my own. I am just.. .a little tired, I suppose.” Raven looked at Sinestro, her head cocked slightly as she thought about how to reply to his words. "Tired as in sick?"[/b] Raven asked, wondering whether she might have to manipulate his emotions to make him more willing to give into the fact that he was ill. Would it be better than just teleporting Sinestro back to his home? The Titan closed her eyes for only a two seconds as she thought. Still, manipulating emotions was generally Raven's last beat, so suddenly, as her eyes flickered open, she unleashed her soul self, teleporting the men and Sinestro to the police. "There's knowledge about some drug dealing going around, I suggest you send out some men. I'll try and come back and help soon."[/b] Raven said, making sure that Sinestro did not try to leave (Pretending he was well) and then teleported back to his base. "Sorry about that."[/b] Raven said, teleportation wasn't always too pleasant when done without any forewarning. [/blockquote][/div] [/style]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] Sinestro frowned, further annoyed by being called out about his being sick. He didn’t need someone pointing out what he was trying to ignore. “I’m not sick,” he grumbled, “lanterns don’t get sick.” Though he was on a strange planet with foreign illnesses, and his body wasn’t exactly ready to combat them. He hadn’t been taking the best care of himself, either, if he was completely honest with himself. The past several days had been spent with him distracting himself by diving into his work. Research, trips around the world, crime fighting- he had done a hell of a lot, just to keep himself busy. At the same time, things like sleep and food had slipped a little to the wayside, the man somewhat negligent to his own health.
Maybe being sick was the result.
When she closed her eyes, he had thought she was getting ready to yell at him, composing herself before going off on him as soon many were want to do. Instead, she cheated and teleported them to the nearest police station, Sinestro’s stomach taking a violent tumble around inside of him as they appeared in the lobby. He didn’t have much time to complain about it, barely getting his grip before he found himself getting teleported again. It seemed she wasn’t going to listen to him pretending he was alright. Spunky, for a teenager.
When they arrived at his underwater base, Sinestro stumbled, thrown off his balance by an immense dizzy spell taking him over. He had found it difficult enough to keep on his feet just from the fever, he didn’t need the disorientation of being popped around the planet making things worse for him. But that didn’t seem to concern Raven, who had seemed more than happy to cart him around with her like a child taken on errands. Moving a hand to his own forehead, he did his best to fight off the nauseating rotation of the room, glaring at his suddenly unfavorable companion. “How dare you-“ Nope, talking was a bad idea. It seemed to be a welcoming call to the churning of his stomach, an escape route of sorts. Though he imagined she deserved some kind of punishment for her actions, Sinestro took a couple awkward steps away from her, before leaning over and hurling the mostly empty contents of his stomach to the floor of the base. The orange bile didn’t hold much more than water to it, Sinestro having skipped the last couple of meals do to both his mood and how he was feeling.
Coughing, he took a moment to make sure everything had finished coming up before he used his ring to clean himself and the area around him. Groaning, he straightened himself as best he could, slowly turning back to look at Raven.
“That was very helpful, thank you,” he growled, “if I ever need someone to make me feel worse again, I know who to call.” Yes, he was bitter, but she had just made him throw up. The sensation of being moved instantaneously from one place to another was not one he enjoyed when he was feeling perfectly healthy, much less when he was under the weather.

Sometimes, being an Empath was not helpful when being around the sick and miserable. The Titan sighed, rubbing her forehead as she focused on creating equilibrium within her emotions and considering whether she should let her powers slip out a little to try and make sure that Sinestro's emotions were under control. For now she left it. But it was possible that later he would need cheering up. For now she needed to focus on getting him better. Looking after an alien... it would be easy if Soranik was here. She knew more about their lives and health. What if colds or the flu was deadly to them? Just a cold had killed many people when they first got it. New Zealand, America. The flu claimed lives of children and elders.
As she thought about that, worry flooded Raven and she took down her hood, feeling too hot. She would be able to make sure that Sinestro was fine. After all, he had healed quickly from her accidental attack. But that wasn't germs and he hadn't seemed that bothered by the wound anyway. Before she had suddenly teleported Sinestro, the Green Lantern had spoken; “I’m not sick, lanterns don’t get sick.” But if Lanterns didn't get sick, then did this mean that Sinestro's current predicament was serious? It's just him trying to get out of having a rest She thought to herself, relaxing from her sudden frozen position.
“How dare you-“ Raven turned to look at Sinestro, hoping a distraction may help her to loose her worry, it was inside her and building and that wasn't good. She needed to dispell the emotions, to meditate. But instead of speaking, Sinestro moved away and then vomited. Raven winced slightly, remembering her sickness after manipulating one of the Seven Deadly sins. Last time that had happened, Raven had Beast Boy to help her through and she wondered if there was any way to make it easier for Sinestro. But if it was deadly to his species then how much help could she give?
While Sinestro continued to vomit, Raven noticed Sora the kitten patter over and the Titan picked up the white cat and stroked her. It was the closest thing she could get to meditation at the moment. Putting the emotions away was not as easy as she wanted it to be. “That was very helpful, thank you,” Raven opened her eyes to look at Sinestro who had tidied up, her own emotions were not back under control and the growl in Sinestro's voice indicated irritation. “if I ever need someone to make me feel worse again, I know who to call.” Raven winced as she felt the bitterness.
"You are ill, you need to rest. I can make you some soup and tea. But you need to rest. Does Soranik have a way to contact her? She'd probably be a lot better at helping with an illness than I would. I think it may be the flu. You shouldn't have been out." [/b] Raven knew that she was still worried and slightly panicking. If Sinestro died it would be her fault. The negative emotions weren't helping either. It was then that the Titan realised that she had started passing, still caring Sora the Kitten. The Titan took in some deep breathes and tried to calm down the entire room. If everyone else was calm, then hopefuly that would help, although that everyone else was a red skinned alien and a kitten [/blockquote][/div] [/style]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] Sinestro coughed as Raven started to speak, moving a hand over his mouth to cover it. It seemed the polite thing to do- even someone who wasn’t used to illnesses knew it was better not to spread them around. She was telling him that he needed to rest, and asking how she might contact his daughter. That made him feel a bit uncomfortable- they hadn’t spoken since their oddly bonding moment together, and he wasn’t sure how he would deal with their first meeting after that moment having to do with him being sick. She would think he couldn’t manage to keep himself out of trouble. Something that was probably true, but she didn’t need that kind of satisfaction. He also didn’t need to look pathetic in front of his daughter. Again.
“My ring can contact her,” he grumbled lowly, “but I don’t need her- I can take care of myself. I’m sure I can handle a little illness.” Though he was feeling warm. Did it normally get hot underneath the water waves? He couldn’t remember his base getting beyond regular temperature.
It was him- he was feeling hot. Moreso than he had been earlier.
“That teleporting… packs a punch,” he mumbled, moving away from her again. He struggled to get to his sitting area, and failed in his task. Before he managed to get more than a couple of feet from Raven, he felt his body give out on him. Perhaps the teleportation had only managed to remind his frame that it was completely taxed. Even a little more strain on it had been too much. He needed a break, whether he actually wanted one or not. She was right- he shouldn’t have been out.
His senses blacked out for a moment, everything getting fuzzy and turning a strange grayish color as his body checked out for the time being. His eyes rolled to the back of his head as he unexpectedly lost his footing, collapsing forward in a red, green and black heap on the white floor.
It was only for a couple of seconds, but he had managed to knock himself out, just because he had been too stubborn to rest when he had started to feel ill. It was his own fault, but there was no way he was going to take the whole hit for what had happened. He was going to make sure he made Raven feel bad about the whole thing- he would tell her that the teleportation had been more than just the trigger.
You know, once he managed to get his thoughts together enough to do anything more than groan on the floor.

The Titan wanted to pace as she continued to worry about that. Death was not something strange to the half demon, but still, the Titan did not want another to die, too many had died. Going back to stroking Sora, Raven tried to make sure that she was calm, she wasn't going to be of any help if she was panicking, she needed to maintain her head. Sinestro wasn't going to die. “My ring can contact her,” Good Raven thought. His daughter would probably be the most helpful. “but I don’t need her- I can take care of myself. I’m sure I can handle a little illness.”
"Just a simple cold has massacred many people in the warmer climates! The Maori, Native Americans! You seem to have the flu and that still kills!" [/b] The Titan protested, still worried. Was Sinestro not aware of the gravity of the situation? “That teleporting… packs a punch,” Raven noticed Sinestro moving away and she was worried that he was going to throw up. "I'm sorry."[/b] She said, but then it appeared that Sinestro was more aware of the gravity than she had thought because he stumbled. "Azar!"[/b] Raven breathed, rushing over to Sinestro. Checking his pulse and emotions, Raven noticed that everything was fine, apart from the fact that he seemed to be unconscious. To chec his pulse, Raven had had to put the kitten down, but she was focused on making sure that Sinestro was okay. All she could tell was that he wasn't dead. After putting Sinestro in the Recovery Position, Raven carefully levitated him (keeping the alien in the same position) and placed him on the sofa, then put Sora next to him. Maybe she would distract him when he woke up? If not, then Raven would put the kitten on the alien and make sure he didn't move. Then she went into the kitchen and looked around for anything useful for soup, tea, or meditation. There were no candles and the Titan was loathe to leave and collect some from home, what if something happened? Unable to contact Soranik, Raven had no idea what to do. Still she found what she need to make tea and soup and the tea helped her to calm down once it was made. Another cup placed by Sinestro. Now she had to let the soup finish. Walking back into the room where Sinestro was, Raven glanced at the ring, wondering if it would help Sinestro. Then the Titan sat down, closed her eyes and levitated as she meditated, focusing on calming things down and doing her best to help make sure that she was able to be helpful. [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] Sinestro groaned, slowly easing his eyes open. The dim light of the base was, luckily, fairly easy to adjust to, and his blurry vision soon became something closely related to normal. Somehow, he had ended up on the sofa, though he wasn’t very comfortable. Coughing softly, he repositioned himself on his back, feeling a little too out of it to even want to get himself back to his feet. His stubborn nature had been temporarily disrupted by his state of disorientation. Right. He had passed out because he hadn’t been feeling very well. That part hadn’t changed, though he no longer felt quite as dizzy as before. Still, he felt hot and bothered, sweating as he panted weakly for air. It seemed like illnesses really could hit him pretty hard when his body had next to no immunity to them. Not that he knew much about the flu to begin with.
Coughing again, he turned his head towards Raven, who seemed to be meditating. She was floating, which was interesting, but he was a little too fevered to really wonder too much about her powers again. Instead, he just tried to focus on getting a hold of himself. While he was feeling pretty calm for having passed out, he was still far from normal.
Slowly, he tried to sit himself up a bit more, struggling against his sore body. It was taxed to its limit, and clearly unwilling to listen to him anymore, but that didn’t mean he was just going to give up and lie there like some kind of invalid. Sweat rolled down his comparatively pale face as he got himself into more of a sitting position, using the arm of the sofa as support for his back.
“That was interesting,” he breathed lowly, “I can’t remember the last time I… fainted.” Or if he ever had. He had never allowed himself to show that kind of weakness. Sure, he had been knocked unconscious before, and often, but it had been a hell of a lot longer since the last time only his own body had caused him to faint.
“Though… I don’t think I would have… if it hadn’t been for you teleporting me here.” He looked at Raven, unsure if she could even hear him when she was off in her own little meditation world. Abin had always liked that kind of thing, but he just didn’t understand it.
A waste of time.
He frowned, looking down to notice the kitten lying next to him. She was perfectly content to sleep where ever she was place, curled up beside him happily. It appeared as though she liked her position against the Green Lantern, even if he was a little bouncy from the uneven breathing. His gasping hadn’t stopped him from being a jerk, though, his eyes still on the young teenager who had only wanted to help him.

[/size] [style=width:430; height:490; background-color:070014; padding:5; text-align:justify; font-family:verdana; font-size:11px; color:78747F; overflow:auto] Meditating was not as easy as it could be when one was unable to forget that there was a sick alien who had either a bad cold or the flu. Especially when the cold had killed many humans in warm climates because their bodies could not cope with it. Did Sinestro's home planet have a virus similar to a cold or flu? But Raven had to push these thoughts out of her head as she attempted to calm down so she could be helpful. There was the sound of someone moving and then coughing and the Titan slowly opened her eyes to regard Sinestro, who had moved into a different position, not that he needed to remain in the Recovery Position anymore. Sora the Kitten was still snuggled against him. Sinestro was also looking at her.
Lightly coming out of her sitting position, Raven dropped down so she was standing on the ground. Sinestro did not appear to be fine with just lying and Raven frowned as he tried to move into a sitting position. But it ended up more like lying down against the sofa's arm. “That was interesting,” Raven looked at Sinestro, raising an eyebrow. Was he going to admit that he had caught an illness? “I can’t remember the last time I… fainted.” "I made you some tea when you were out." [/b] Raven said, her emotions under more control at the moment, the tea cup (in a saucer) was placed on a table near Sinestro. "And some soup is cooking, but you don't need to eat all of it."[/b] She added, wondering whether Sinestro would even try to eat some. The Titan just wanted to be helpful. “Though… I don’t think I would have… if it hadn’t been for you teleporting me here.” Raven blinked as he said that. If he hadn't fainted in a while and it was linked to her teleporting... guilt flooded through the teen. She still couldn't see any alternative ( he probably would have fainted if I had left him to fight other people, she thought) but she should have given him more warning, the Green Lantern would have realised that it it would have been for the best, hopefully. Although Raven doubted that. "I'm going to finish the soup[/b] Raven said, hurrying into the kitchen. Apparently her meditation had not helped much. It had barely kept her emotion under control for a minute. Was she always wrong? Everything she did seemed to go wrong. Loss of control of her powers, demonic possession by her father, turning into a demon and then double crossing her half brothers, almost destroying- Raven forced her attention to the soup. Giving it a stir. It was ready. Taking it off the hob, she put some into a bowl and found a spoon and took it through for Sinestro, placing it down infront of him. The Titan still felt guilty and worried and was struggiling to keep it under control, to make sure that it didn't influence Sinestro and that it didn't get to her. Still it was there and Raven retreated as far as she could from Sinestro. "You should eat it while it's still hot."[/b] The Titan told him. Her indigo eyes flickered around the room and she decided that she better appologise, maybe it would make the guilt go away. "I'm sorry about teleporting you, but I couldn't see any other way. If you remained outside it wouldn't have been good for you. Suppose you had collapsed of exhaustion and humans had found you? It was the only option I could see. I didn't meant to cause you to faint. But illnesses are serious and you had to rest."[/b] Raven said. Then, cautiously she tried to make the emotions in the room calm, to make Sinestro more likely to accept that he needed rest. There were too many emotions in her and it was dangerous. [/blockquote][/div] [/style]

Though he had supplies in his base, most of them had gone unused by the alien- he didn’t know what tea tasted like. Given that his stomach still felt like it had been bounced around like a basketball for about an hour, he wasn’t really that keen on trying new things. The same thing went for the food she was making, though he had to admit it was starting to smell quite nice. She was trying to help him as much as possible, but he was still feeling pretty bitter about what had happened. More than that, he was embarrassed. It wasn’t every day that he had to deal with fainting, and he loathed the very thought that it had happened with someone else there to see it. Sora the kitten would have been the only spectator he would have allowed, and even then he probably would have glared at her for it.
This… this was just pathetic of him.
He watched her leave the room to check on the food, too annoyed to feel guilty about sending her away with that look on her face. It was his fault, not hers, that his condition had gotten so bad. And he knew it. But he was too stubborn a man to want to make claim to anything like that. For him, blaming the people around him and generally being an asshole seemed a much easier solution than admitting he had a problem.
Coughing roughly, he continued to wheeze for air, his body at its weakest. He knew he probably needed to call his daughter. She would be able to cure him rather easily with her ring. But if he got over it himself, wouldn’t it help his immunity? Then he wouldn’t need her help. Hell, he would continue to try and believe he didn’t need it right at that moment. As long as he didn’t pass out again, he would be able to keep her away. But any further prolonged unconsciousness would like send a distress signal from his ring.
“I’m not sure being forced into unconsciousness counts as rest,” Sinestro grumbled, though he found his anger was suddenly lessening. For whatever reason, he was starting to feel like it just wasn’t worth it be angry, and he just needed to focus on getting himself well again. Probably the most intelligent thing he had thought since he had started feeling ill a couple of days ago, really. Too bad the beep of his ring alerted him to Raven using her powers. It spoke of an unknown energy affecting him, and his will power took over from there. The magic she had been using faded in an instant, his calm replaced with further rage.
“What are you doing!?” He snapped, ignoring the way sitting up made his head spin as he glared at Raven, “first you try to kill me, and now you’re trying to control me?! What is this? Do you really think you could force me into forgiving you?! What good would that really… do…” He was starting to feel light-headed again, the man moving a hand to his forehead to fight off the dizzy spell. He coughed weakly, though still sought to get himself to his feet. If he hadn’t wanted to rest before, he really was against it now that he thought she was trying to play with him somehow. He was angry and, with his fever, not thinking completely straight. It was much easier to assume the worst in people.
Even in young girls who had only been trying to help him out from the very beginning.

The emotional climate pricked at her. Even though happiness helped Raven to heal, it could be too bright. Negative emotions were the opposite. They got under her skin, irritated her, made it hard to concentrate, to control her emotions, to keep her demonic side at bay. So despite how hard she knew it was for Sinestro, the Titan was struggiling and feeling the pressure build up on her. A headache was developing and a small part of her mind told her to leave him here, to not help. Or if she must to use her powers to completely control the situation.
“I’m not sure being forced into unconsciousness counts as rest,” Raven closed her eyes, sensing that a stronger headache may not be far behind, even as she was using her powers to calm down the room. But the emotions did start to calm down and Raven felt the headache begin to ebbe away, along with her worry. Things would turn out fine. Hopefully Sinestro would see reason and call Soranik, nothing would go wrong, no one would die. But there was a beeping and Raven's indigo eyes opened and turned to the source, which was the ring that Sinestro wore. With it's timing, Raven guessed it was due to her emotion manipulation. Then rage filled the room and her headache was splitting.
“What are you doing!?” Raven rubbed her temples as pain went through her head, the Titan trying to dispell it from her. If it affected her, then her presence would not be any good for Sinestro. “first you try to kill me, and now you’re trying to control me?! What is this? Do you really think you could force me into forgiving you?! What good would that really… do…” Rage was surronding her and it hurt, so strong. Why couldn't Sinestro remain without emotion? She was loosing control and the demonic side began to show. The Titan collapsed on the floor, kneeling on the ground, staring down, her face hiden.
"If you think that I was trying to kill you, then you are greatly mistaken. Teleportation is nothing compared to what I could have done to you. It wasn't even done with any malice. Nor was the manipulation," [/b] Raven's voice was trembiling as she fought to get control over her emotions. "I could easily destroy you and you are not even aware of your weakness, how it controls you."[/b] She hissed, glancing up, four red eyes glowing as a giant black raven flung out of her and grabbed Sinestro, talons digging in. Then Raven got control and stopped before she attempted to push Sinestro through the wall. In her panic, Raven retreated to the only safe place she knew, her soul-self, accidentally taking Sinestro with her. It was dark and empty, but peaceful. In fact, Raven was unaware that she had taken Sinestro with her. As soon as she had arrived, the Titan closed her eyes and went into meditation. It couldn't happen. She couldn't loose control. "No, it can't happen. I'm stronger. I need to control my emotions. I need to go back and help Sinestro.[/b] She muttered under her breath, unaware of who she had taken with her. The teenager was trembiling as she meditated, trying to keep everything undercontrol. It was easier here, in her soul self. [/blockquote][/div] [/style]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] While Sinestro didn’t believe for a moment that she could really kill him, he was a bit surprised she was saying such things- she didn’t really strike him as the threatening type. The fact that she seemed to be in some kind of pain only made him more perplexed. Not that he really had time to ask her about it, though. Before he could make any kind of snide remark or sarcastic question, he was suddenly attacked by the same bird he had seen her use before. However, he hadn’t been the target the first time, merely someone who had gotten in the way. This time, he hadn’t had the capacity to escape, too bogged down by his illness to move quickly enough.
“Ugh,” he grunted when the thing seized hold of him, digging its talons into his flesh. That didn’t bother him nearly as much as the fact that Raven was attacking him in the first place. Small wounds were of no importance to him, even when ill. From the sofa, Sora hissed violently at the scene, leaping over the sofa and hurling herself out of the room. While she was adorable and loved to be around her master, she was also a kitten and the whole thing had scared the hell out of her. So she made her quick escape. Sinestro wished he could do the same.
What happened next, Sinestro couldn’t really say Perhaps he had blacked out for some of it, but he had gone from being held in his base, to floating freely in some kind of weird other world, disconnected from anything he had been dealing with previously.
Fantastic.
Sinestro frowned. If he had a nickel for every time he found himself locked away in some kind of dark, empty dimension. Though, he supposed he wouldn’t be finding the entity of fear in this place, nor would he gain access to the power of yellow energy. Frowning, he wondered what he would find there, floating himself forward as he looked around. Compared to being trapped inside the green power battery, the place wasn’t so bad. At least there was a view, however expansive it happened to be. Looking into space was something he was more than a little used to. It was about as cold as space ought to be, the korugaran shivering somewhat. His ring soon fixed that, a protective glow of energy around his body keeping him at a normal temperature. It also provided him some light, for all the good it did him.
Slowly, he floated past some rocks, his only real interest finding Raven. Not a difficult task, when one could sense fears. And she was brimming with them- a fear of losing control of her powers. He floated over to her, listening to her mutterings as she attempted to meditate.
“Raven?” He asked, his voice as impassive as ever, “where are we? What’s going on?” If only his mind hadn’t been in such a bog at the time. He could only remember moments of what had happened, before blackness and finding himself in the strange place. He was sure it wasn’t a bad place, though, as Raven was trying to find her center there and not getting freaked out about it. Where ever they were, it seemed a place Raven was used to. So he imagined he just needed to get her attention to get out of there.
Hopefully she wouldn’t go claw-happy on him again.

This was her safe place, where she was home and could not be harmed. Here she could escape the demonic influences that remained within her. So now she was free from the dreadful emotions she had been feelings and pushing the guilt out of her. Her guilt of making Sinestro worse and then of attacking him. Already her rage had gone, but she still feared that it would come back. The fear would have to be the last thing that she worked on before she was able to go back. Fear and worry often dwelled within the half demon as she feared realising her dark side.
"I won't loose control, I won't let him influence my, I am free of my father's influence." [/b] The Titan muttered over and over again. "Sinestro will be fine."[/b] Was occasionally thrown into her words. "I'm not a bad person."[/b] Appeared often as well. "I can heal Sinestro. My emotions will be under control." The panic was beginning to fade away and Raven's repeated mutterings were beginning to fade. However she was not aware of Sinestro's presence, being so deep in meditation. With all emotions other than fear bottled away, Raven focused on removing the final emotion. I have got everything else under control. My father will not take control, I am purged of him. The only danger is myself. But I can cantrol it. My destiny is my own. Being within her soul self helped Raven to dispell her emotions. “Raven?” Now that she was removing herself from meditation, words that had been spoken were coming to her. It could be minutes or hours later and the Titan's eyes almost suddenly flickered open, but she forced herself to come out slowly, to listen to what else had been said that her mind could remember and supply. “where are we? What’s going on?” Then Raven slowly drew herself out of meditation and placed her feet on the rock, standing up. "We are in the only place that I viewed safe to take myself. I suppose you could say my soul. It's my soul self, the same thing as the raven that attacked."[/b] The Titan explained. "Although I wish I hadn't attacked. I almost lost control. I almost became my demonic self, Pride.[/b] A small bit of fear flickered in Raven, but she pushed it away. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bring you here, or harm you. Do you need any help healing your wounds?"[/b] Raven asked, emotions completely hidden. [/blockquote][/div] [/style]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] Sinestro listened as she spoke to herself, really having nothing else to do with his time. She was deep within her meditation, and he had seen from some blue lanterns that they could just drift around and not realize anything going on around them for quite some time. He would have to get used to being there, perhaps, as he might not be leaving for some time.
He didn’t know how long he had been waiting, but eventually she seemed to snap from her daze. She had only managed to confirm her fears in her time meditating, but he hadn’t needed to hear it to know for sure how she was feeling. Fear was something he felt he knew better than anyone else.
He was its master.
She spoke to him, and he frowned, listening as she explained herself. So she had more trouble controlling her emotions than he had realized, and it seemed as though his emotions also linked into how well she could control herself. She hadn’t started to get mad until he had, after all. Perhaps that was why she was trying to calm him down with her powers- for protection.
Whoops.
“Wounds?” Sinestro looked down at the rest of his body, realizing he had forgotten all about the injuries she had inflicted on him. Whatever the dimension was, it seemed to keep pain from being too much of a bother. Something that wouldn’t be true once they were out of there again, he assumed. He observed the puncture wounds in his flesh, frowning thoughtfully. “I wouldn’t bother- these wounds aren’t serious. My ring will heal them on its own.” He imagined it would be no problem, as he was normally not one to be too bothered by injuries. Even sick, he assumed that would hold true. If it didn’t, well, he would cross that bridge when he came to it. In the meantime, he didn’t want to fluster Raven further, if only because he wanted to get out of there and he doubted she would leave if she thought her emotions might still get the better of her.
“I don’t suppose you feel ready to leave this place,” Sinestro remarked, “not that I don’t love dark, freezing cold expanses of space and time, but I think I could use a nap.” He watched her, wondering if she was feeling ready to head back to reality. It was a little weird to think that he was inside of her soul- he kind of didn’t want to be there. At least she had a soul.
It was still in heated debate whether or not he had one.
