Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] Sinestro was once again exploring the planet. Being trapped there for his mission with Soranik, and bored of beating the crap out of pathetic human miscreants, there seemed little else to do with his time. Not that it was an entirely bad thing, he supposed. There was a part of him that enjoyed seeing the buildings the cities had to offer- it seemed to range quite drastically depending on where he was. From old, barely standing pieces of shit, to new-age, highly advanced (for humans) pieces of architecture, the planet had something for every portion of his anthropologist-trained brain. He was particularly fond of the older, more gothic-themed buildings he had seen. Their haunting looks and perfectly aged beauty almost made him consider the talent of the human race in creating their cities.
Almost.
Today, however, he wasn’t exploring the older buildings he liked so much. Instead, he was taking a look at some of the residential areas of a large city. The area he found himself in at that moment, while quite generic, seemed well kept and fairly classy. Clearly not an area for the lower income set. He had spent so much time in the more grimy areas of places like Gotham that he had started to believe that was how everyone lived. Clearly, though, he had been wrong. People could have perfectly normal lives as well.
His peaceful moment was soon interrupted, as was often the case when it came to city. Something always seemed to pop up that required his attention. This particular pop up, however, was not something he had encountered before. Well, sort of.
Crying softly from a dimly lit side street, a small creature huddled itself against a trash can, trying to slip around the back of it to avoid being seen. Really, though, if it hadn’t wanted to be found, it probably shouldn’t have made noise. Sinestro frowned, pointing his ring in the direction of the bin, green light filling the area easily enough. Another cry escaped the timid creature, the light frightening it even more. Sinestro, however, was not interested in its unrefined fear, his power ring producing a glow around the creature’s body to lift it from its hiding spot and bring it towards him. As it struggled in the air, unable to get free of his glowing ring, Sinestro observed it, finally able to confirm what it was.
A cat. Or a baby cat, anyway. He believed they were called kittens.
Sinestro had only encountered one other cat in his time on earth, and that one happened to be a red lantern named Dex Starr. Not exactly the same as the usual feline of earth, all things considered. This kitten seemed nothing like the little rage furball, crying and shaking in mid air. It was dirty and small, thinner than it probably needed to be. With no collar or identification, Sinestro imagined it was just some stray trying to fend for itself, and doing a horrible job at it, too. He brought the kitten closer, taking hold of it in one hand so the power of his ring would disperse. Frowning, he held the creature under its arms, letting its lower end hang below. The kitten didn’t seem to mind, watching Sinestro with wide, bright green eyes. Standing there, holding the kitten, Sinestro found himself in a very unique position.
He had absolutely no idea what he was supposed to do with a kitten. Put it back? Let it die trying to live on its own? Act like he had never seen it? Try to find somewhere to drop it off? It seemed like there were plenty of choices, but he was far more used to dealing with humans over animals. They ran away when he growled at them. Telling this thing to stop its meowing only made it rumble.
He believed it was called purring.
Somewhat unaware of how he looked, Sinestro took a look around the area, hoping someone might be around who knew something about animals. Maybe they would like to have a kitten, or could at least tell him where humans dumped them to be rid of them.
(This can take place anywhere)

Currently she was without a team, the Titans never remained together forever. They reformed, they broke apart, members came, members grew up, taking the role of their mentors. It was always changing, just like the world. But Raven never joined another team, instead she remained open for when the Titans would once again call upon her.
Teleporting between cities was not difficult for Raven, that was how she ended up here, looking out for anybody who may needed her assistance. Yes, the half-demon usually remained with the Teen Titans, but that didn't mean that that she was incapable of fighting crime herself. So far, most things remained calm, in the past month Raven hadn't had to combat crime in any way and occasionally she would be able to offer her help with healing. But that was it.
So when Raven teleported into a street (with dim lighting), the dark raven taking apperance before her soul-self returned within her, and there was someone infront of her who wasn't from earth, the Titan was rather suprised. The main point of teleporting into somewhere like this was to avoid being seen and Raven considered the fact that she should have been more cautious before returning her soul-self to within her.
The stranger appeared to be holding something. On closer inspection it appeared to be a kitten. The kitten itself was rather raggled and not in the best of the shape. The stranger appeared bemused, unsure of what to do with the animal. The hooded Titan guessed that the cat was an unwanted kitten that had been chucked out by whatever owners it had before. The stranger was in clothing that was incredibly similar to the Green Lantern (who Raven knew of).
"I take it you're new to this planet." [/b] Raven said, after taking in the scene. Her voice was devoid of emotion as she spoke to the green clad stranger.[/blockquote][/div] [/style]

A magic user, here? He had to wonder what she thought she was doing in a nice, crime-free kind of area. Perhaps she had been looking to do some kind of show for one of the families that lived in the area- she could have been a performer for all he knew. Or maybe she had just wanted to do a little exploring. Wasn’t like he was doing anything different, even if he had managed to find something in his attempt for some peace and quiet.
The kitten wiggled in his grasp, though he continued to hold it at arm’s length, letting it dangle in one hand. After all, he had never been taught how to hold a kitten, and he certainly didn’t have animals similar to them on Korugar. He knew nothing about the creature, and it seemed silly to ask his ring what he was supposed to do with it.
If the guardians heard him asking for help with some kind of human pet, even they would find it amusing.
When the young girl spoke, Sinestro gave a grunt, though nodded. “New enough,” he replied lowly, “my last few visits to this planet had been for a specific purpose.” Namely getting revenge against people and trying to blow things up, though he had also been there once to help stop an unspeakable evil from taking over the universe. Other than that, he had never really done a lot of sight-seeing while he had been on earth. Perhaps he could consider this his first, real visit. True, he was supposed to be working on his mission with his daughter, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t do his own thing when she was off pouting about being on the same planet as her former boyfriend.
“I am Sinestro,” he informed her with a slight nod of his head, before turning his eyes back on the still purring kitten in his grasp. “I found this creature whimpering in the garbage. I believe it is alone. … do you know what I am supposed to do with it?” It was awkward to ask for help, but he didn’t know what to do.
The thing seemed to like him. Even when he presented it to Raven, it tried to wiggle out of his grasp and clamor up his arm towards his face.
“Perhaps it should be put out of its misery.”

Considering the fact that he was alien, the Titan did not think anything odd of it and she removed her hood, the shadow leaving her face so that it was no longer hidden. The kitten caught her attention again as it wriggled, Raven could tell that he was holding it the wrong way, so where-ever he came from they probably didn't have cats of any sort. He was even holding it at arms length. Raven wasn't sure whether that was because of inexperience of holding kittens or simply if he was worried it might do something if it came too close.
“New enough, my last few visits to this planet had been for a specific purpose.” "That is often true in most cases." Raven commented. Although there was very few travel between worlds or dimensions, Raven knew that most of it was because of buisness and earth would hold nothing interesting, it was just another planet after all. “I am Sinestro,” The red skinned alien said. "I'm Raven." The Titan replied, not holding out her hand to shake, it was quite possible that Sinestro had a different culture where hand shaking was not the common practice for greeting. Besides, he was holding the kitten.
“I found this creature whimpering in the garbage. I believe it is alone. … do you know what I am supposed to do with it?” Raven thought about how to reply to Sinestro, slowly moving closer to look at the kitten. It had never been part of her life as a Titan to look after strays but she had some idea of what to do. When the kitten was offered to her, it attempted to wiggle out of Sinestro's grasp. "You don't hold cats like that. You need to hold them to your chest and support them." [/b] Raven pointed out, demonstrating with the air, one hand cupped by her shoulder, which should support the kitten's back. The other hand was cuped facing up and below the other, which should support the kitten's back end. Demonstration finished she dropped her hands back to within her cloak. Should she explain why the kitten was probably like this? It did not give a good impression of earth and the Titan was not used to being a diplomat to earth in any sense. “Perhaps it should be put out of its misery.” Sinestro said. "No, I think the kitten will be able to survive if given the proper attention. We have sancturaries for abandoned animals. I don't know where the nearest one to here is, but it shouldn't be so hard to find."[/b] Raven said. She never liked it when animals were abandoned and left to starve. If she could she would help, she could heal wounds and she wondered whether she was capable to helping the kitten, it appeared to be starving. Could her powers help?[/blockquote][/div] [/style]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] “Hm?” Sinestro blinked, watching as she showed him the proper way humans held their cats. Looking down at the animal in his hand, he moved it towards his chest, dumbly following directions without a word. It was rare that he needed to be taught something, and he didn’t really know how to react to it other than to do as she said and not make a fuss about it. Holding the animal against his body, supporting it in a more appropriate way, the kitten seemed to calm down, not wiggling nearly as much as it cuddled against his body, still purring contently. He supposed they were kind of cute when they weren’t trying to melt faces off like Dex-Starr. But it did smell, and he couldn’t actually tell what color it was with all the dirt caked on top of it.
She informed him that they didn’t need to kill the kitten, and he silently agreed with her. Something about holding the animal made it clear it wanted to have a chance, and probably had enough spunk to survive. Still, he didn’t agree with the last portion of her statement, frowning distastefully.
“I don’t think so,” he growled, “I don’t need help from some organization to take care of this creature. Where do you get food for it? What does it need?” He wasn’t going to pass this little mission over to someone else. Why should he? He could take care of some small creature like a kitten, couldn’t he?
He looked down at the creature, who seemed to be fast asleep against his chest. It couldn’t have been more than a couple of weeks old, if the size was any indication. Then again, he didn’t know anything about earth animals, so what could he say for certain? Other than it smelled like trash, nothing much.
His ring glowed faintly, washing the kitten in a green light. It didn’t even seem to notice, still contently snuggled against him as the light from his ring removed all the dirt and filth from off the small animal’s body. It also removed any ticks or bugs on the creature, cleaning it better than the best washes out there. When the glowing faded, Sinestro was surprised to see that the kitten was white, with a few black spots on its small body. With all that dirt on top of it, he had thought the kitten was gray in some way.
Nope.
“There. It is clean and I know how to hold it- what’s next?” He asked, almost eagerly. It was almost fun, in a weird sort of way, to be learning something new. When was the last time he had been a willing student? He couldn’t even remember.

The effect on the kitten was obvious as it stopped wiggiling and relaxed. “Hm?” "That's better, isn't it?" [/b] Raven said, giving a rare smile. Slowly she reached out to the kitten, being careful in her movements. She didn't want to disturb it now that it had settled. Placng her hand gently on the little warm body, the Titan focused on removing some of its hunger. It did appear to work as she could feel the pain from the hunger moving onto herself. It wasn't nearly so effecient as it could be. But the kitten should find it easier to rest. Taking her hand back, Raven shoved the pain that she had just taken on into the back of her mind. "Hopefully the kitten will be able to relax some more."[/b] She said, looking at the creature. She wondered how long it had been living out here. It was most probable that it had been from an unwanted little and with a pang of pity, Raven considered that if it had any siblings they might be dead. But she had to push that emotion away. Feeling emotion was not a good thing for her. “I don’t think so,” Raven looked up at Sinestro, suprised at his voice. She hoped that she had not offended him. “I don’t need help from some organization to take care of this creature. Where do you get food for it? What does it need?” Curiously, Raven allowed herself to feel the emotional atmosphere, had Sinestro gained affection for the kitten in such a small amount of time. But then again, Raven did have to admit that it was endearing. So what would he then need. I suppose that the kitten does appear rather attached to him Raven thought as she wondered what would be the best place to get something for it. Then a green light appeared around the kitten, coming from Sinestro's ring and Raven watched as the kitten was easily cleaned, appearing as a white kitten with some black spots. It certainly had not appeared like that while covered in mud. “There. It is clean and I know how to hold it- what’s next?”"Well, it will need to be fed. It doesn't appear to have anything wrong with it other than the hunger. But a trip to the vets to check for any disease and to give some vaccinations would be a good idea. I would also suggest checking to see if there are any of the kitten's litter around. If the kitten was abandoned, it might have siblings around. Although they might be dead or in worse condition."[/b] The best they could hope for was that if the kitten had any siblings then they had been adopted already. Raven looked at the street and carefully lifted up a rubbish bag, holding it in the air with her telekinetic power, looking for any signs of other kittens, before carefully replacing it. "A vet would also be able to tell us what gender the kitten is."[/b] She added, continuing her search for any siblings. [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] He watched her touch the kitten, though it didn’t seem like she was just giving it a pet. Maybe she was using some kind of spell on it? The look of it hadn’t changed, making him wonder what she had done to help it out.
But he decided not to ask.
Sinestro pointed his ring down the side street, holding the kitten carefully with one hand. It was small enough not to provide the tall man with too much of a problem. His ring glowed, a light filling the street. “Scan for life,” he instructed the ring, watching as it did as he asked. Frowning, he lowered his ring again, looking back at the young girl who was helping him out. Raven, he believed she had called herself. Probably her hero alias. But it wasn’t like he went around calling himself Thaal, so he understood the need for at least a little privacy. “The area has no other life forms,” he told the girl lowly, as though he didn’t want to offend the probably lonely kitten in his arms, “I don’t believe there is any family for this creature here.”
With that out of the way, he brought his thoughts back to the idea of taking it to the vet. He would probably have to skip that one- he didn’t really have any human money, so he couldn’t pay for something like that. Anyway, he had a daughter who was the best doctor in the universe, surely she would be able to handle one small kitten.
“I don’t need the vet to tell me what gender it is- my ring has already informed me that this kitten is a female.” He looked down at it again. The small beast was still sleeping merrily, its small chest moving up and down in a content pattern. Maybe it was the first time it had felt safe enough to sleep in a long while. Whatever the case, he was pretty sure throwing it across the street wouldn’t manage to wake it up.
That was kind of cute, he supposed.
“I should thank you,” he said, “for the assistance. Few would feel inclined to help a red-skinned alien, even one holding a kitten.” Most humans still feared him. She, however, didn’t seem to care one way or another. Was she completely human? Her magic was certainly not something he had been expecting to see from a human.
“Food, then. I suppose I need to find something for it to eat.” He would have to figure out the money thing- even aliens needed some human currency to be able to do some things. He wasn’t going to resort to stealing just to feed a kitten. Frowning thoughtfully, he moved his free hand to the kitten, one finger scratching it lightly under its small chin. This was… a different kind of creature.
He didn’t hate it.

The sight of the young kitten resting peaceful was calming and it helped to settle her upset emotions over the abandoned kitten. “Scan for life,” That was certainly a more effecient way to look out for the kitten's siblings and Raven stopped in her careful searching. A search for life forms would not show if the kitten had any dead siblings, but perhaps it would be better to leave something like that remain a secret. Raven didn't think it would do well for any one's emotions if they found a body of a young kitten.
“The area has no other life forms, I don’t believe there is any family for this creature here.” The results had come in, then. "The kitten sounds like it hasn't had an easy life. Do you plan to keep it? Or give it a name?" [/b] Raven asked, wondering if the alien shared human sentiment in giving animals names. It was possible. Raven herself had never needed to name an animal, she had never had a pet and she didn't know what she would call an pet anyway. “I don’t need the vet to tell me what gender it is- my ring has already informed me that this kitten is a female.”With that knowledge, Raven looked at the kitten again, wondering if it would be possible for her to even come up with any ideas for a name for the kitten. None came to mind. "She is fortunate that you found her."[/b] The Titan pointed out as the tiny creature's chest moved up and down with its breathing. It had slowed down since earlier, she suspected that her was going into a deep sleep and did not begrudge her the sleep. It should help to repare anything that Raven had missed and slow down the metabolism so that the kitten wouldn't use up what little energy she had. “I should thank you, for the assistance. Few would feel inclined to help a red-skinned alien, even one holding a kitten.” "No problem. I've delt with stranger and I think many people would offer help when a kitten is involved."[/b] Raven replied in her usual emotionless tone, despite this, it did sound friendly. After all, Raven herself was half demon and her friend, Kory was an alien princess. “Food, then. I suppose I need to find something for it to eat.”Raven paused, thoughtful. She did have her own home and money. Although it was little, she could afford to get the kitten some food. "I can teleport us to my house. Then I would be able to pick up my money and go to the supermarket and buy some cat or kitten food."[/b] She would also have to get changed into something more normal. Going shopping as a superhero was not the best thing to do. "Or if you'd rather I can go by myself and then return here with some food."[/b] She offered as an alternitive.[/blockquote][/div] [/style]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] Sinestro took on a thoughtful expression with her relatively simple question, musing over his options. “I suppose I could keep it,” he remarked after a moment, “I found it- I imagine that gives me some obligation to keep it safe, at least for now. As a green lantern, it’s what I would do. But a name… I’m not sure what I would call it.” He hadn’t been very good at naming things. His corps had been called ‘the Sinestro Corps’ not only because he was a very self-centered man, but because he was a very uncreative man as well. Frowning still, he looked down at the kitten, the ball of white and black still sleeping in his grasp. It was so small- it could almost fit its whole body in just his one hand. It was small, gentle and sweet, just like someone he had once known. But he didn’t have the heart to name the kitten after her- it would bring back too many painful memories. Still, he could name it something that related to her, couldn’t he? No, he couldn’t manage it.
Ironically, he was too much of a coward when it came to dealing with his emotions.
“How about Sora? It is the nickname humans use for my daughter, Soranik, and I think she would enjoy having a kitten named after her. She rather likes human things.” He was lying, of course- he knew full well that she would hate him for naming the kitten after her, especially if he used her nickname. But the idea of it was just too funny to pass up. Anyway, the kitten reminded him of her mother- she couldn’t be too angry with him for it. Sure, he would never mention that last part to her, but still.
He didn’t say much more in gratitude, never one to extend pleasantries too far. He had gotten the point across, hadn’t he? So he focused on getting the kitten some food, listening to her suggestions. “I don’t mind accompanying you,” he said, in no way caring if she had only offered in an attempt to be nice and didn’t really want him to come along, “I would like to see this human supermarket, as you call it. I have never seen the interior of one before.” He imagined they were similar to the markets of Korugar, though with an entirely different stock of food. Admittedly, that intrigued him. Why not see what humans liked to eat, while seeing where to buy cat food for Sora in the future?
He would need to learn at some point.
“I hope they do not make a fuss about a feline in the store,” the man remarked, looking once more at the kitten, “on my planet, the animals we do consider pets are not allowed inside business venues. It is a little on the unsanitary side to let them walk around.” But the kitten wouldn’t be walking. Hell, it probably wouldn’t even wake up the entire trip. Would humans really be disturbed by her?
They would have to try and tell him to leave, if that were the case, and all the luck to them with that.

But Raven had a vast collection of books, she could see if she had one on kitten care. She probably did. “I found it- I imagine that gives me some obligation to keep it safe, at least for now. As a green lantern, it’s what I would do. But a name… I’m not sure what I would call it.” "I might have a book which I can give you which should be able to help with looking after the kitten. And if you plan on taking her off world she will need the same oxygen levels." [/b] Raven said thoughtfully. Raven could sense that Sinestro was not finding it easy to name the kitten and she couldn't blame him. Naming was not one of the easiest things. It could be noticed in some of the new superheros as they tried to come up with an original name. “How about Sora? It is the nickname humans use for my daughter, Soranik, and I think she would enjoy having a kitten named after her. She rather likes human things.”"That sounds like a good name. Better than anything I could have come up with."[/b] Raven said. She doubted naming the kitten after famous historical or mythological characters would be that good. Raven looked at Sora the kitten, it did seem like it would fit the young creature. “I don’t mind accompanying you,” Raven shrugged and prepared herself for transporting two other beings. She would still need to get changed into something more normal. “I would like to see this human supermarket, as you call it. I have never seen the interior of one before.”"Do not get your hopes up too high. They aren't that interesting. Personally I prefer the open top markets. But you do not see too many of those."[/b] Raven said, still focusing on preparing her soul-self for transporting so more than herself. “I hope they do not make a fuss about a feline in the store, on my planet, the animals we do consider pets are not allowed inside business venues. It is a little on the unsanitary side to let them walk around.” "They do not allow animals inside unless they are guide dogs. Sora is welcome to remain in my home. She will be safe."[/b] Raven said, but then it did appear that Sinestro had become attached to the kitten. "But if you arrive as you are I doubt that they would find the words to complain, nor any valid reason."[/b] She added, although Raven would not go shopping in her cloak, she would don some of her normal clothes. Now that she was prepared for the travelling, Raven looked over at the sleeping Sora in Sinestro's hand. She doubted that the kitten would be woken up by the transportation. But it was fair to give warning before she teleported them. "Are you ready for me to teleport us?"[/b] Raven asked polietly.[/blockquote][/div] [/style]

Teleporting wasn’t something he was new to, so he didn’t think it would be that big of a deal. He only hoped her teleporting was less jarring than what he was used to, or it might upset the kitten in his hand. Small creatures rarely liked situations they weren’t used to, and he imagined the tiny beast would be no different, even if it was being very well behaved right at that moment. But, as it turned out, he didn’t really need to worry about it.
There was something else he needed to be far more concerned about than how a kitten would react to teleportation. He had been so distracted by the conversation that he hadn’t noticed the presence of someone else in the area- someone else with a power ring that his should have picked up on. But, for the first time in years, he was too distracted to pay attention to the faint beeping of his ring.
Until it was too late.
Before Sinestro could react, a blast of yellow energy smacked him right in the back, between the shoulder blades, and knocked him straight to the floor. He hit the ground hard, the poor kitten getting tossed from his grasp. She bounced on the floor once before landing, letting out a surprised, pained little mew. After that, she just lie on the ground, unmoving. Sinestro, meanwhile, didn’t have enough time to react to the helpless creature’s cry, rolling onto his back just as a massive beast landed on top of him. It looked like a cross between a crocodile and a wolf, with a long, reptilian face coated in random, scruffy patches of dark fur. It had several rows of long teeth, all of which were pointed down at the Green Lantern as the hideous monster let out a huge roar.
“Traitor!” he hissed, long tongue lashing out as though to lick the emerald warrior. Its long, thick tail beat the ground, cracking the cement while he brought a massive claw over Sinestro’s face, able to take hold of his entire head with just one hand. “You betrayed ussss!” he wore a suit similar to Sinestro’s, but yellow, the emblem on his chest slightly different than a regular lantern symbol. “You betrayed your corp!”
He intended to crush Sinestro’s skull, but the Lantern wasn’t going to give him that opportunity. A large sword of green appeared between the monster’s chest and arm, slicing through the limb like it were made of butter. Arm severed off completely just above the elbow, the yellow lantern let out another tremendous roar, backing away from Sinestro as its remaining hand pawed at the new wound. Dark red blood splattered everywhere, hissing against the ground as though it were some kind of acid.
Pulling the arm off his face, Sinestro rolled out from under the flailing monster, getting himself to his feet. He ignored the simmering of his flesh from the blood he had coated himself in, watching the enemy with his ring ready. He didn’t look to see if the kitten was alright, his mind already in defense mode. He didn’t even turn to see if Raven had been knocked back by the sudden appearance of the monster.
All he wanted to do was kill his enemy and move on before any other lanterns followed the signatures and figured out his location. Still, in the back of his mind, defending the both of them was a top priority too, he just wasn't one to show that kind of thing.

It was the form of a giant black raven. But before she could pick up Sinestro and Sora the Kitten a blast of energy hit them, Raven didn't even have time to use her sould-self as a shield and was instead shoved backwards. Hitting the ground, Raven glanced up, taking in the scene. She was never one to rush headlong into something. A weird creautre, like a cross between a crocodile and a wolf had released the attack. “Traitor!” The creature hissed and Raven noticed that it's attention was directed to Sinestro.
But where was the kitten? Sinestro had been holding it. “You betrayed ussss!” The creature hissed, just as Raven caught sight of the unmoving ball of fur. Glancing again at Sinestro, then back to Sora, the Titan decided that the kitten would need more help than the red skinned alien and she flew over to the small unmoving body. She could sense the creature's pain, it was worse than what it had been feeling before. “You betrayed your corp!” Raven glanced back up at the now fighting aliens and she felt anger inside her at the creature that had attacked. The kitten was hurt.
Placing her shaking hand on the small body, Raven focused on taking away the pain, the poor creature now had some wounds, not fatal but serious and Raven could only help so far. Sinestro was fighting the creature, but Raven could feel her emotions boiling up within her. Not good. She thought, trying to supress them, but as she saw the cowering kitten and thought about how it had taken to Sinestro, she felt the anger and joined into the fight. Stanging up, Raven used her soul-self for offense, the giant black raven flying forwards and clawing at the attacker, then it dissapeared as she used her telekinetic abilities to hurl it into the wall.
Then she started to take away some of the emotions of the creature. Her attacks had been wild and then Raven realised that she had let her anger get the better of her. Stopping, she returned her hood to her head and took a step back so she was just infront of the kitten. "Sorry." [/b] She whispered as she attempted to reign her emotions back in. Had the enemy been beaten? Had she harmed Sinestro? Raven looked up, searching for the answers? [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] Sinestro moved back when Raven got involved in the attacks, noting the wild nature her charges seemed to take. Clearly, she was quite angry about what had happened, though he imagined it had more to do with the cat than anything else. In all honesty, he was pretty pissed about the small creature getting hurt, too. Landing on a the ground, Sinestro watched her go after the Yellow Lantern, not getting himself in the way since he really didn’t feel the need to get involved in the attack. If her powers were out of the control, then he would only make himself a target by leaping in. Once she seemed to regain herself, he nodded slightly.
“It’s fine,” he told her, “he deserved it.” Not that the monster was beaten. It took more than that to stop a raging Yellow Lantern. The beast, though injured, roared in a rage, blasting at them both with massive, unkempt balls of yellow energy. Sinestro brought up a barrier to keep them, and the kitten safe, blocking even more wild attacks. It seemed he was the only one around with any kind of control over his emotions.
Shooting forward, Sinestro used his ring to create a mallet, slamming the yellow lantern in the chest again, sending him into the wall of one of the buildings once more. He only needed to get the creature off balance for a moment, his injuries from Raven’s attack more than enough wiggle room for Sinestro.
-Yellow Lantern detected. Lethal Force Enabled- The ring on his finger informed him, which was exactly what Sinestro had wanted to hear. Smiling, almost wickedly, he pointed his ring at the wounded lantern, who looked up at him with nothing but disgust on his monstrous face. “You don’t deserve to live,” snarled the beast, “traitor! Those of us left will hunt you down and skin you alive!”
“I wouldn’t include yourself in that,” Sinestro replied almost casually, “you’re not going to be alive much longer.” With that, he didn’t give the creature anymore time to speak, shooting a condensed beam of energy right through the lantern’s head, right between his red eyes. The monster lost all sense of his body, collapsing over backwards with a giant thud.
-Lantern of Sector 349 deceased- the yellow ring on the monster’s finger reported –seeking sentient replacement- But before the small trinket had a chance to get far, Sinestro had already attacked it, another blast from his emerald ring blowing it into nothing but yellow dust.
Sighing, he moved away from the dead alien, heading over to Raven and the kitten on the floor. Slowly, he knelt down, carefully scooping up the small animal once his ring informed him it wouldn’t be lethal to do so. Holding the tiny animal, he actually frowned, feeling the smallest tinge of sadness seeing it wounded. Two seconds and he had already gotten it hurt.
He was going to need to do better than that.
“My daughter should be able to help the kitten,” he said after a moment, watching the little animal as it struggled with the pain it was in, “she is good at that sort of thing. Were you hurt?” He asked softly, turning his attention back to Raven.

Thankfully it appeared that Sinestro was fine, none of her attacks appeared to have gone wild and hit him. The strange attacker had faced her rage, although it was not defeated. “It’s fine,” Sinestro said when she appologised. “he deserved it.” "No, it isn't fine." [/b] The Titan muttered, crouching down to look at the kitten. Her Empathatic healing would take away the pain and speed up the healing. But that didn't stop the kiten from being wounded and there was too much pain for Raven to take without putting herself at risk. Just then the creature attacked again and Raven raised her soul-self as a shield. At the same time Sinestro had created a barrier. Raven noted that they were not used to fighting together nor did they have much idea about either's powers. Sinestro then went back into the attack and Raven settled for defence. She was capable at deflecting anything flung towards herself or the kitten, raising her soul-self as a shield. If the creature came to close she was capable of attacking with her soul-self, the dark raven attacking with it's claws. Raven also kept an eye on the end of the street, making sure that no humans came in and got caught up in the violence. “You don’t deserve to live,” Raven listened as the creature talked, it would appear that it had some knowledge of Sinestro. “traitor! Those of us left will hunt you down and skin you alive!” Turning her mind to it, Raven wondered if this was a personal grude against Sinestro or whether it was against all who had the Green Ring. It seemed to be more aimed towards Sinestro, it would be something worth asking him about. “I wouldn’t include yourself in that,” Now Sinestro spoke and Raven raised her shield, someone had been about to enter the street to see what was going on. “you’re not going to be alive much longer.” Raven's attention came back to that of the fight and she watched as the monster was defeated. So it was all finished, Raven lowered the shield but the person had run off, probably realising that it was a dangerous situation. The yellow ring seemed to want to move somewhere, but then it was destroyed. Sinestro came over and Raven stood up. "I get the feeling that it knew you."[/b] She commented in her emotionless tone, now that her emotions were under control. But she didn't press the point. Her gaze flickered to the white kitten as Sinestro lifted it. “My daughter should be able to help the kitten,” Raven gave a short nod. "I did what I could, but I can only take away so much pain. But the healing should be accelerated. I've never really had to heal an animal before."[/b] The Titan replied. "Does your sister live locally? Or will you need transport?"[/b] She asked, healing the kitten was more important than getting food. “she is good at that sort of thing. Were you hurt?” Raven looked up at Sinestro and shook her head. "I'm fine, only my pride could be harmed and it is intact."[/b] Raven said, she knew quite a bit about pride. [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,426,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/greenmiddle.png] “Yes, I knew it,” Sinestro remarked without much interest, “his name was Rogg. He was a member of my corps.” He didn’t seem too troubled. His team had been made of monsters and they had tried to enslave his planet. He was happy to kill them. He was not, however, happy to leave them there for humans to find. Alien bodies were misused in the hands of the underdeveloped. So he used his ring to set the body on fire, controlling the green flames so it burned without spreading, much more intense than any regular flame. Within seconds, the body was gone, nothing but a pile of ash.
When she asked about Soranik, he gave a chuckle. “I’ll bring her here- though I don’t know if she’ll actually show up.” He raised his free hand, looking at his ring. “Soranik, come to the location my ring has dispatched- your medical expertise is required. Do hurry.” With that, he focused on Raven again, who had told him that she wasn’t hurt.
“I’m fine,” he said, looking down at the kitten once more. She was the one he was concerned about. Though the downward view did point out the ground to him, which seemed to be coated in a thin layer of purple. His blood was purple…
Slowly, he looked around himself, finally noticing a large gash that had sliced across the side of his body, slipping behind him on his back, past where his eyes could really see. He knew the monster could not have so clean a cut with its poorly kept claws- it must have been from something else. That creature Raven had used, perhaps, in its wild clawing at the air. When it had screamed past him towards the yellow lantern, its talons must have clipped him. But why hadn’t it hurt? Had he been paying too much attention to the fight? Was he finally getting back to being able to ignore wounds? Or did it have something to do with the magic Raven used? In any case, it was starting to hurt now that it had finally been noticed, the Green Lantern frowning in displeasure.
“I suppose fine is a loose term,” he corrected himself lowly, “but my ring should heal this wound without much trouble.” It had already healed the attack he had taken between his shoulders, as well as the minor burns from the acid-like blood of the alien Rogg.
He looked back at Raven, not paying much attention to the injury on his body. She had said only her pride had been hurt, but surely using a power like that could have held other consequences, too. Like him getting clawed on accident. Maybe it had been draining on her, or something. “Is there a potential for something to happen to you if you lose control of your abilities like that? Or is it just the rest of us who fall into trouble?” He wanted to know more about them, but it was not the right time to ask. Not when they were waiting for his daughter to show up so she could tend to the kitten.
They weren’t saying anything about it, but he knew they were both just a little bit worried about the small animal they had found.
