Full Name: Thor Odinson
Code Name: THOR
Age: Very very very very very old
Date of Birth: Summer Solstice
Sexual Orientation: hetero
Species: God
Alliance: Avengers, Asgard
Citizenship: Marvel

"Victory is MINE Baldy!
And if you had any hair I'd take that too!"
And if you had any hair I'd take that too!"
Hair: Long shoulder-length blonde hair worthy of a shampoo commercial
Eyes: At first Thor's eyes seem to be the most calmest shade of blue, carrying an earnest seeming lightness about them, but all that fades when his temper is thrown, the brilliant color flashing an electric hue. They are perfectly framed by his hooded brow and long lashes, but Thor's wrath is anything but delicate.
Height: 6'6"
Weight: 640 lbs
Distinguishing Marks: He's just big.
Appearance: Thor is almost always pictured in his armor, seemingly ready for battle at any moment. His colors lean on bright reds and conservative blues, complete with gold and silver metal scales of armor. Thor has a large build and tall frame, effectively giving the stature of a god.
When he's in disguise as Donald Blake (yes, he still has the fake ID) Thor wears simple t-shirts and jeans, anything that can fit really. He'll tie his hair back in a pony tail and try to blend in the mortals as best he can.
Face Claim: Chris Hemsworth

Personality:
Thor is very curious about the realm of his mother. He finds great enjoyment in discovering new things about Midgard daily, experiencing a daily culture-clash with those he meets. Thor has a strong sense of loyalty and pride, and often acts rashly, saving the questions for later. He speaks very formally, as is customary of his people, and Thor is all-around a very likable person. He's charming, honest, and brave- all things a future ruler should be. What he lacks in foresight and intelligence he makes up for in courage and heart.
There was a moment in the interrogation room where Thor actually understood his brother. After Mjolnir had rejected him, Thor lost all sense of who he was for a moment. He had no direction to go from there, because who was Thor without his mighty hammer? Who was he if he was not an Asgardian prince? He held the title of thunder god for so long he'd forgotten to forge his own identity away from it. At that moment, Thor was nothing. When Loki appeared before him, telling him that Odin had died and his mother had exiled him permanently, Thor gained an insight those moments what Loki had been feeling his entire life. An outsider. Isolation. Feeling completely lost.. For once, Thor felt small.
Thor will always forgive Loki, always try to find that small part of him that is still good, because he feels responsible for him. Loki will always be his brother, and that he cannot change.
"With great power comes great responsibility"
Powers:
- Super strength, endurance, speed, stamina
- hurricane breath (somebody get that guy a mint!)
- long-lived
- controls the storms
- can fly
- heals quickly
Weapons Mjolnir is almost sentient, forged from the uru metal and crafted to be indestructible. The hammer was enchanted to give Thor the power and strength of storms, summoning rain, thunder, and lightning where it strikes. Mjolnir allows Thor to fly at incredible speeds and fire blasts of energy at an enemy. It can also absorb great amounts of energy and fire it back out from its surface. Being indestructible, when Thor is flying he can blast his way through any obstacle. Mjolnir comes at Thor's call, pray you aren't in its path when it comes.
Mjolnir can only be lifted by those found worthy of its powers. Captain America is one of those who can, as well as Odin. Anyone else who tries would find it impossibly heavy.
Strengths/Abilities: Thor is an excellent warrior. He is charismatic, proficient in hand-to-hand combat, swordsmanship, and he is almost unrivaled in hammer throwing.
Weaknesses:
Thor's greatest weakness is his brother Loki. They are polar opposites of each other, Thor being big and strong, Loki lithe and equipped with a mastery of magic. Each has what the other lacks. His sentimentality towards his brother can cloud his judgment and even lead him to make bad decisions in combat. He takes no pleasure in fighting him, and would avoid it if he could. Thor is also incredibly difficult to reason with, his stubbornness still a fault in his character. He refuses to listen to believe that Loki is beyond the point of no return, and will drag the trickster back to Asgard using force if necessary. Thor is also incredibly selfless, and would sacrifice himself for another very quickly.
Thor is susceptible to magic and other great cosmic forces.
"All it takes is one bad day to reduce
the sanest man alive to lunacy,"
the sanest man alive to lunacy,"
History: Thor had always been a boastful and proud warrior, the perfect picture of an Asgardian prince. There was no question that Thor would ascend to the throne. He was given Mjolnir especially crafted just for him on his eighth birthday, and Odin told him the weapon would become his once he proved himself worthy of its powers. Fighting many battles, growing in power and popularity over the years, it all seemed to lead up to his coronation day, but the celebrations were cut short by a small group of Frost Giants that had broken into Asgard to steal the Casket of Winters. Furious, Thor led his friends (the Warriors Three and Lady Sif) and brother into Jotunheim against his father's wishes. The encounter ended in a declaration of war between the two worlds and Thor's banishment from Asgard. What started out as a simple trick of mischief spiraled into a series of events that would shatter the two brothers' lives forever.
In his first moments on Midgard, Thor discovered his newfound mortality after Jane Foster ran him over with her truck. Thor did not adapt well at first to a mortal life. He did everything he could to rebel against it. It wasn't until he broke into SHIELD's settlement to get back Mjolnir that he finally realized his situation. Thor was all alone. He had lost everything, even his sense of self. Loki appeared to rub salt in his wounds to ensure Thor would never return to Asgard, telling him lies that their father was dead and his mother refused to see him. Thor was heartbroken, overcome by guilt, but in the end, he still thanked his brother for coming, grateful for that last farewell. Thor then slowly accepted his life as a mortal, living shortly with Jane Foster, Darcy, and Dr. Selvig. He told Jane about Asgard and the Yggdrasil tree which connected the nine realms, and she told him about science and how to make coffee. Thor began to forge a new identity for himself.
He settled into this simpler life quite nicely, until the Warriors Three and Sif reappeared and told him the truth about Odin and Asgard. Thor was speechless; this had gone much farther than any of Loki's tricks before, but the mortal god did not have time to think for his brother had sent a Destroyer after his friends to ensure none of them ever made it back to Asgard again. Loki's fear for his power proved to be his undoing. Thor's sacrifice in the battle against the Destroyer returned his godly might to him, and he demanded answers.
Thor fought Loki to defend Jotunheim, and he destroyed the Bifrost with Mjolnir. The impact of breaking the rainbow bridge caused both brothers to dangle on a broken edge about to float off into darkness. Odin appeared, awakened from his odinsleep, with a spear to rescue his sons, but when Loki pleaded for understanding he was discouraged. Loki released his hold on the end of the spear and allowed himself to be hurled into an unknown fate, completely broken.
Charged with protecting Midgard (his true mother being Gaea not Frigga), Thor joined the Avengers to battle for Earth in the invasion of the Citauri caused by Loki. Together, they were able to stop the invasion and Thor took Loki and the Tesserect back to Asgard with him. Presently, Loki has a new scheme.
Raised as brothers, their bond broken by secrets and blood. Thor wants to believe in Loki's redemption more than anything. He would bargain even his own life for it.
