Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

The monster went flying after the punch and slammed into a wall and fell to the ground. Superboy began to walk towards the beast to make sure it was done, however, before he could make it there a blast of red lasers hit a building near him. He watched as it began to fall towards the people below. Superboy turned into a blur of black, red and blur as he ran towards the falling building and jumped into the air. Superboy caught the building as he began to fall back towards the ground due to his problem of being flightless. It was so heavy. The heaviest thing he had ever tried to lift. He exerted all of the strength he could to make sure the building didn’t end up being what crushed him, so that when he landed he would still be holding it. But it was so hard for him. He had no footing in the air and couldn’t fly. People in the building screamed as they looked out the window. Some were screaming things like ‘Is it Superman’ or screaming out of pure terror and some were also arguing if he was flying or if he was falling with style. He could hear Supergirl’s plea in the distance, but he couldn’t answer her yet. Superboy of course didn’t get the Toy Story reference as the building bared down on him. His feet crashed into the ground and he began to be pushed backwards and down by the weight. His eyes were closed, but then he realized something. He had stopped being pushed. He opened his eyes. He was on the ground holding the building up on it’s side. He placed it on the ground.
He remembered Supergirl and rushed over to her at super speed stopping near her. He was about to say something before Supergirl found him with her hand. “It’s gone. I don’t know which.” Superboy didn’t even answer the last one because he felt if he opened his mouth he might yell at her to stop asking so many questions. Then she lightly touched his cheek and asked the most irrelevant question yet. Superboy felt the anger boiling in him from a million different things. “Stop asking so many questions,” he barked angrily with a huff. “It’s beside the point.” Superboy tried to think of what to do. What could he do? He didn’t have those powers yet. His guess was as good as hers or any bystander he might ask. Superboy bared his teeth. If he didn’t do something and she opened her eyes she could level every building around them. He tried to think of what Superman would do. But he didn’t know what Superman would do. He thought of Powergirl. How she had helped him with his super hearing. What would she do? How would she handle the situation? He tried to calm himself a bit. The only problem was he wasn’t Powergirl, so calming himself didn’t exactly work. She had seemed calm to him when she helped him. He tried to think of exactly what she did. “Try to calm down and concentrate,” he said as stoically and deadpan as he could though some anger was still present in his voice. “Try to turn them off.” Superboy put his hand up in front of her eyes in case it didn’t work. “Now try to open them. If they’re on still try doing the same thing while your eyes are open.”

“stop asking so many questions!” Kara jumped at him yelling at her. She didn’t mean to ask so many questions, but she was scared, and when she was scared she did weird things. “try to calm down and concentrate.” Kara thought about trying and calming down “now try opening your eyes. And if they’re on still try doing the same thing while your eyes are open.” Kara could feel his hand over her eyes. “How in god’s green earth am I going to be calm when you’re yelling at me, and I’m not going to shoot your freaking hand! Forget it, I’ll be blind forever!” Kara was letting her anger get a hold of her; she was mad at him for yelling at her when she really didn’t do anything.
It was probably pointless for Kara to get mad when she knew that Superboy was always mad. “You have been mad at me all damn day for nothing, I come to the apartment and you’re mad. I take you out for lunch and your still mad. I try to be your friend and you yell at me. I didn’t want us to have a bad relationship but the way this is going we aren’t going to be anything.” Kara could feel the break in her heart she hated losing family and she didn’t want to have a bad relationship with him but she tried everything. “And I can’t turn my eyes off and I’m scared. I’m scared Superboy, alone scared and very unsmart with everything!” the blonde could feel her temperature rise with anger and fear. The tears of anger began dropping on to superboys hand and all kara could say was “great now you’re going to think I’m weak.”

Superboy barred his teeth. He was standing there trying to help her and she wasn’t going to cooperate. Great. He wished he had a way to contact Powergirl. She’d be able to help. Superman would come up with some lame excuse to avoid being anywhere near him. He was a bit surprised by her yelling at him. He hadn’t really seen her angry. He listened to what she was saying as his temper boiled higher and higher as people all around watched, but Superboy didn’t care if they watched. Superboy didn’t even see that he’d done anything wrong. Simple amends and what not . . . he hadn’t been taught how to deal with situations like this. Or any situations for that matter. Everything he had done since he escaped Cadmus had been nothing more than guess work and he was sick of guess work. For once he wanted to be sure of something. To actually know something. But now he was too angry to think straight.
“Weak? You’ve got more powers than me! Superman doesn’t seem to think you’re weak either! At least he’s said more than two words to you! He treats me like some kind of animal living in his house that he’s trying to ignore until an exterminator comes to get rid of me! He won’t even look me in the eyes. I don’t have half my powers and he won’t train me! He just always comes up with some lame excuse to run off and avoid me! That’s not the only thing I need help with either! I don’t even understand what I feel! I feel emotions and stuff but I’ve got no fucking idea what they are! And you keep mentioning family! Family this and family that. Well, y’know what? I don’t even know what a family is! I know what the meaning of the word is, but I haven’t got a clue what it means! Because I’m not you. You have family and you had one before. Well I don’t and I never did. I was created in lab inside a test tube! I’m a clone of the greatest hero of all time and I’m expected to live up to that? It’s more than living up to his namesake like you and Powergirl have to deal with. I am him. It’s his DNA that’s in me. His blood. But I’m just some clone, Superman’s made that pretty clear through his actions already. Not to mention the million other things that are constantly pissing me off!” He huffed at the end of his tirade.

Kara listened to Superboy and began to calm down. In a way they were a lot alike being that they didn’t know much about feeling and the human ways. Of course Kara knew a little more because of the people she hung out with and they taught her what she knew. She opened her eyes and smiled as everything was normal. Kara pulled superboys hand away from her eyes lightly. “I wish you would have told me sooner, maybe we could have bonded better, and Superboy if Superman wont train you maybe we can train together there has to be something I can help you with, and I didn’t know that superman treated you like that. And to me you don’t have to live up to Superman just be who you are, and I know you don’t know who you are yet but we will find you because I won’t leave you, I will show you what a family is. Ooo and emotions I’m still working on them too but I can help you understand some of them. And thank you Superboy for helping me with my eyes even though it made you mad. And I enjoy being around you I’m sorry I got mad.”
Kara looked around at the group of people who were stairing at them wondering about superboy and thinking he was superman. She could hear the mumbles and questions. “Fellow city people! This is Superboy hes a hero, and a great one at it.” The blonde let out a smile, and looked at superboy. “how about we go home and talk being here is creeping me out.”

Superboy was heated. He'd say more, but he didn't feel like it at the moment. When Kara pulled his hand away and her eyes were fine this did nothing to change the fact that Superboy was heated. He didn't understand how it could have helped them bond better. It wouldn't have changed the fact that neither of them understood any of it. He didn't know how well training with Kara would go. She might of had more powers than him, but it seemed that she didn't have much control over those powers at all being that she couldn't turn off her heat vision and she couldn't control her flight as shown when she crashed through Superman's apartment window. Not to mention Superboy was a bit of a loner. Being around others made him feel uncomfortable and confused which led to more anger and rage. Maybe he didn't have to live up to Superman for Kara. But it wasn't for Kara. It was for himself. It was because he had something to prove. He ha to prove that he could be even better than Superman or at least just as good.
He wondered what Kara was doing as she turned towards the crowd of people whom he now noted were confused about the situation wondering if he was Superman or not. Superboy would have thought that his words would have been clear. That he was a clone of Superman. He listened as she told them who he was and all of that. He hadn't much thought he was a great hero yet. All he had really done so far was catch the building just now and fought alongside Robin once in Gotham City. Of course, in a few days he would be among a group of heroes who helped stop the destruction of New York City, but he had no idea that was going to happen. Superboy didn't answer Kara with words. He was more of an actions speak louder than words type so he turned into a blur again as he went back to the apartment. He didn't quite want to talk yet. He hadn't exactly gotten that part of life down. Every conversation he had had so far didn't exactly go too well.

Kara sighed. She walked over to where she hid the x-box and games and walked after Superboy. Sure she could have run, or flew, even skip, but she was too busy thinking about how to get him on her side. She thought about how he was different from her and how it was hard to understand him and how tired she was really getting, she tried everything from being nice to being mean to caring to not caring she was tired of trying so hard, she wanted Superboy to be happy but he didn’t know what happy was, she wanted him to feel loved but he don’t know what that was, how could Kara tell him and show him what they meant, she herself was still learning things. Kara let out a sigh and walked in to the nearest fast food place and bought a soda, she filled it with Pepsi and sat at a window seat with the x-box and the games. She did notice that everyone was staring at her, she was wearing her Supergirl costume anyway and it was odd for a super to be in a fast food place in the middle of the day, but hey if the avengers could get swarma after a big battle why couldn’t Supergirl get a drink after a baby fight with Superboy.
She finished up her Pepsi and threw it away. She grabbed the objects and floated herself back to the apartment. She landed on her feet at the door and knocked lightly. She thought that at least she would be polite and knock instead of walking in, hopefully Superboy took some time and calmed down a bit. “Superboy you home?” Kara stood at the door and waited. “We can play x-box, and stuff.” Kara’s normal happy loving voice was quite and a little worn out, maybe she was just tired.

Superboy made it to the apartment in absolutely no time whatsoever, however, he was surprised that Supergirl wasn't right behind him. He figured she'd be there in no time anyway. Perhaps she had something to do. Or saw something happening he hadn't. Superboy grasped the handle of the door and as lightly as he could manage opened it. He was happy that at least this time he hadn't pushed it off it's hinges. Superboy looked around the apartment wondering what was next. What he was supposed to do. He had no idea. It seemed he never had any idea of what to do. He wondered over to the refrigerator and opened it extracting a bottle of Poland Spring water. He opened the water bottle and drank half of it in one go. The only thing that stopped him from finishing it was the sound of Supergirl's voice at the door. He felt he shouldn't of said all of those things he had. Not because he felt sorry for yelling at Supergirl. He didn't even realize he did anything wrong. It just made him feel weaker. Not to mention the fact that now she was probably going to try and make him talk about his feelings.
Superboy walked over to the door, water bottle still in hand and grasped the door knob. He pulled and unfortunately the door came off of it's hinges like it had so many other times. He let Supergirl in and them pushed the door into place before turning into a blur once again. HE was used to the door ripping off it's hinges routine and knew how to fix it. In no time he was no longer a blur and was drinking some more of his water. He hadn't exactly noticed that her voice was more worn out. Or rather he did he just didn't know it was worn out or what it meant. He didn't know what to say or rather didn't have anything to say. And when he had nothing to say, he didn't say anything. He hadn't grasped the whole 'conversation' thing yet.

She walked out and sat on the couch, she watched Superboy fix the door. At least Superboy knew how to fix it, because she didn’t know how. Kara pulled her knees to her chest and let out a sigh. “I would turn the T.V on but I don’t know how, this is some type of remote with numbers.” Kara stared down at the remote that was on the table. Kara was tired, not physically but mentally, she wasn’t mad with Superboy, she never was she just didn’t know how to handle Superboy and it made her feel like she was a bad person for not being who he needed her to be. She didn’t want to talk about feelings or super powers, she just wanted to hang out and relax.
Kara watched Superboy. “Today was a long day, full of me trying to be something to please you which I see now was bad of me to do seeing you know little of what you like, it was my mistake. So I’m just going to sit here, if you wish to join you may.” Kara closed her eyes and began to zone out but she could still hear superboy, “unless you wanted to talk I don’t really mind.” Kara was starting to relax.

Superboy was not aware of many human or kryptonian social behaviors. So he had no idea if Supergirl swamping her uniform for Clark’s clothing was considered normal in either cultures. Though one could be sure if they ever tried to put on his clothes they’d get a thorough glaring wolf stare from Superboy’s steely blue eyes. Superboy threw out his empty water bottle as Supergirl voiced her confusion on the remote. Luckily or perhaps unluckily with the garbage that was flowing through the air waves, Superboy had figured out how to use it. It was quite easy to figure out actually. There weren’t many buttons on the remote that weren’t numbers, which meant one of them had to turn it on. At super speed he was able to figure that out in a split second and which button it was. It was a rather peculiar button in his opinion.
“It’s the weird one with the circle and the horizontal line. The numbers change the shows.” While that might not of been one hundred percent correct being that it didn’t exactly change the shows, rather it changed the channel. Superboy didn’t reply to what she said next. He really wasn’t sure of what to say. Though he felt something in his gut. He knew, even if he didn’t quite understand much of anything, that she had been trying to befriend him or be-brother him or something. He didn’t really want to talk. Or maybe he did. He didn’t exactly know what he wanted to do. THat was probably what angered him the most. He had free will, yet he had no idea what he wanted to do with it. Frankly, he didn’t quite understand it. He walked over and sat on the couch as well with his arms crossed.

What were you doing before I came over? Because I have something I think you should know.” Kara didn’t want to tell Superboy that it was superman who told her to come over and hang out with him; it wasn’t until this morning she knew that Superboy existed. She was glad she came to meet him but would he be glad that superman cared enough to send Kara over or would he think It was still some plot to ignore him. The blonde remembered the talk she had with superman that morning.
He had waken her from her bed and began talking to her about some lab that some team had found and how some boy was found and that the boy was Superboy. He asked if Kara could go and spend some time with Superboy and she agreed she wanted to see who he was and why he was a super. Now she knew more about him then superman did and she wasn’t sure to be happy or sad about it but she didn’t care. “well this morning I learned about you a bit from superman, he took his time to come to the fortress and tell me where you are from and a little bit about you. And then he asked me a question but I’m not sure if you want to know what the question is?”

Being reminded of Supergirl's flying accident from earlier in which she accidentally flew through the closed window and knocked into him did not help his mood. He guaranteed it would be the only reason Superman would talk to him when he got back, but that's not the reason he wanted Superman to want to talk to him. He didn't really know what reason he wanted Superman to have to talk to him. He figured any reason other than an excuse was half-decent though. At least they'd be getting somewhere. Being reminded that he had nothing to do and wasn't doing anything earlier before she came also didn't help his mood.
"I wasn't doing anything." His voice was stoic as if calm though he was angry. Then again, he always was angry. He didn't have many reasons to be happy. Although one could argue that. He had met Powergirl. He had Suergirl who was actively trying to be a part of his life. He had a home. He had several powers. Let's not forget the part of not being some mind controlled freak weapon controlled by Cadmus. Of course, Superboy was much too preoccupied with the million other things that were bothering him to see the good in it. "I was staring at the wall."
He heard Superman's name spoken and immediately felt as if he should be angered like all the others times. But he had mixed feelings about what she was saying. He of course had no idea what they were. But they were mixed alright. He felt anger surge up in him. He could go and talk to Kara but not him. He could talk to other people about him behind his back yet he couldn't so much as look him in the eyes. On top of that he was intrigued by what Superman had said about him. Was it Good? Bad? He wanted to know what the question was as well. He was also afraid. Afraid he'd be sent off somewhere else. That Superman didn't want him around. He also was feeling happy that at least Superman was acknowledging his existence, even if it wasn't directly too him. "What is it?"

“Superman told me that he was planning a big day with you today, but he got called away on a job with the bat, so he asked me if I could come and hang out with you and be your friend, I was very happy to do it. He gave me his credit card and told us to have fun, I am really glad I met you today Superboy.” Kara opened her baby blue eyes and looked at superboy she wondered if he was going to be mad at her, she just told him that the person he was angered at told her to come to him, was this going to make Superboy mad at her. “Superboy don’t be mad at me please don’t be mad with me” she floated off of the couch and over to the kitchen, she looked around for something to snack on. She pulled out bottled water and a bag of chips and moved back to the couch. She watched as Superboy took it all in, she wondered what he was thinking about, if she was wondering if he was mad with her or just superman. What if he was mad with her and superman?
Kara took a deep breath and looked at Superboy “well what are you thinking Superboy? Are you mad at me, I don’t want you to be but if you are that’s ok but I didn’t really do anything but try to adore you, I find that you are very sweet and loving you just don’t know how to show it.”

Superboy was definitely taken off guard by what Supergirl said. It was probably the last thing he expected her to say. He also found it very hard to believe. Superman? Spending time with him? He had done nothing but avoid Superboy. Superboy was left speechless, confused and a number of other things. It sounded like Superman had used her as another excuse. Try to hold him over. Probably thought if he spent time with another super that he could hold of the inevitable longer. But him planning a whole day with him? He found it hard to believe, but he also wanted to believe it. Was it supposed to be some kind of surprise? And why couldn’t Batman call someone else up? He had the whole Justice League? Not to mention the whole Bat-family. Nightwing, Robin, Batgirl, Oracle and a handful of others. Not to mention it wasn’t like Superman was the only kryptonian on the planet. There was Powergirl and Supergirl. Though something told Superboy that Supergirl and Batman might not of hit it off. If one thought Superboy was brooding, they obviously hadn’t met Batman. Of course, Superboy also had never met Batman, but he had plenty of information implanted in him about the caped crusader.
Superboy hadn’t changed a bit on the outside as he took it all in. His arms where crossed and he was staring at the wall as if in deep thought. So Supergirl’s inquiry wasn’t out of place. He didn’t answer at first. He wasn’t sure what he was feeling. He was feeling upset that he hadn’t gotten to be wiith Superman and who knew when the next time Superman would get the courage to plan a whoel day with him? He felt touched and surprised by the fact Superman would do that. He was confused as Superman’s previous actions were misleading. He felt grateful that Kara told him. He didn’t feel as mad with Superman, though there was still a good deal of resentment. He was angry at Batman for taking away his chance to spend a day with his hero. He was happy that Superman was acknowledging him. Of course, Superboy had no idea what he was feeling. Of course, he knew he wasn’t mad though. He had felt that so much it was one of the few emotions he knew when he felt it. “Mad? No . . . I know what it feels like to be mad. I don’t know what I feel.” He answered stoically.

I’m starving.” Kara rolled off of the couch and on to her two feet. The young girl made her way to the kitchen and looked through the room, to her surprise their was stuff to make cake, the one and only thing Kara knew how to make, but like Sinestro said ‘you can’t only eat sweets you must have a good meal too’ Kara smiled at the memories of her father figure and began to make the cake. “SB would you like to help me make dinner?” Kara put the cake aside and waited for the oven to beep, while she waited she began to take out the box from cabinet and read the box, “Hamburger Helper,”
She was confused but she was sure that if she just read and followed the instructions she and Superboy would be able to make dinner. After all how hard could it be for two teenaged heroes to figure out. Kara moved swiftly around the room and picked out the stuff for the meal, butter, milk, meat, water and the stuff in the box. She looked at Superboy with confusion. Obviously she knew that he probably had no idea what he was doing, unless he did.

Superboy wasn’t feeling too keen to get into his misunderstood feelings. He didn’t know them, he didn’t know how to explain them and it made him uncomfortable talking about them. Nevertheless, he had no idea how to say all of that. His feelings wasn’t the last thing on his list of things he wanted to do. In fact, it wasn’t even on the hypothetical list. He wondered about food. He wasn’t too hungry, but it seemed Supergirl was ‘starving’. Which he didn’t understand on the account that they just ate teriyaki. Of course, since then they had gone to the place called Game Stop and bought a bunch of stuff and they fought that monster. So he guessed it was acceptable that Supergirl was hungry. His eyes followed Supergirl as she went into the kitchen. He wondered what she was making and if it was difficult. She didn’t seem to be too understanding of earth foods earlier.
Superboy eventually stood up from the couch and unfolded his arms as he walked into the kitchen behind her. His eyes watched as she began to take out various ingredients and read out loud some of the names of things. He couldn’t help but wonder what kind of help he’d be with all of this.
