I must confess that I feel like a monster
.....................................................................
Full Name: Brin Londo
Code Name: Timber Wolf
Age: 18
Date of Birth: 12th of January
Sexual Orientation: Hetero
Species: Human (genetically altered)
Alliance: Freelance hero
Citizenship: DC
Canon or Original?: DC canon
"Victory is MINE Baldy!
And if you had any hair I'd take that too!"
And if you had any hair I'd take that too!"
Hair: Brin likes to keep his hair long and it ends just above his waist as a single short lock dangles down in front of his face while a white stripe runs almost down the center (more on the right side) and another white bit of hair comes down behind one ear to hang over his left shoulder, sideburns round his hairstyle off. When he's cooking he keeps his hair pulled back into a ponytail.
Eyes: Formerly brown (when he was human) Brin's sclearas are now yellow and almost cat-like with red irises. His eyebrows are now either non-existent or the same colour as his fur, making them 'invisible' to other people and the area surrounding his eyes is black, giving him a permanent 'eyeliner' look.
Height: 6' 0"
Weight: 170 lbs
Distinguishing Marks: N/A
Appearance: Brin has a lean but athletic physicality beneath short light grey fur. His ears almost resemble a wolf's while a pair of short fangs protrude from the bottom half of his mouth. In his feral form, his body mass increases as he becomes taller and more powerfully-built.
Because of this, Brin mostly wears a specialised costume made of unstable synthetic material invented by Brainiac-5 with the intention of rearranging itself to Brin's body mass even when he is in his feral form. Orange in general coloring, the center of the front section has an almost Y-shaped middle, dark grey in coloring, with a pair of yellow animal eyes positioned right in the area below the neck.
The sleeves are short and end in a zig-zag design with dark grey edging while two crimson-colored circles adorn the sections above the knees. The suit is finished by crimson boots designed to accommodate his clawed feet and crimson gloves that end at the elbows, all made of the same unstable synthetic material.
He also possesses a standard-issue Legionnaire ring, wore on the middle finger of his left hand, which gives most members the ability of flight (based upon the owner's conscious will-power) in both atmospheric environments and outer space, a factor that Brin uses in synch with his claws and his enhanced physicality when in combat. Additionally, his ring has been adapted so it shifts size to fit his finger accordingly when he is in his feral form. A Legionnaire comm-belt, which stretches accordingly, finishes off his outfit.
Face Claim: N/A
"I’m not interested in making new friends,
I don’t even like the ones I have”
I don’t even like the ones I have”
Likes: Baking, Cooking, Drawing and sketching, Reading, Outdoor activities
Dislikes: His father, Losing control, Being played for a fool/manipulated, Cats, Bad guys
Personality: Normally an even-tempered, level-headed guy, Brin can prove stubborn and will display a short temper if pushed into it. He is somewhat anti-social but in not a cruel way, finding it hard to trust and open up to people. Once someone gets past his defensive attitude, he is brave, loyal and caring to the point of being protective of those he allows to get close to him.
As a result of his father's experiments, he's always at risk of losing control of his feral side and never knows when it might happen, this side of him can be set off by things like stress, his emotional state or outside influences, he also harbours a strong resentment towards his father. Because of what was done to him, he harbours a strong resentment towards his father but at the same time, refuses to completely sink down to Doctor Londo's level.
His instinctual streak gives him a slight intuition and he sees things others miss, solving problems in simple, honest and direct ways. Thanks to his feral side, he tends to not fare well in social settings and can seem discomforted by them.
"With great power comes great responsibility"
Powers: Brin's super-powers and irreversible DNA alterations come from the results of both him possessing a metagene (being the first in his family to ever have it), something his father discovered and exploited, and the Zuunium rays Mar Londo also used in these experiments. These include.
Super Strength: Timber Wolf's strength is several times that of a normal human. As such, he can easily lift and throw things like computer consoles and large medical tables. The amount of weight he's capable of lifting goes up when he transforms.
Super Speed: Faster than a normal human especially when on all fours, Timber Wolf is able to instinctively avoid attacks and relies heavily on his speed and agility in a fight. His speed can increase slightly when he's in his feral form.
Super Agility: Timber Wolf has enhanced agility making him a fearsome physical opponent in battle. He can use this to enable himself to leap up and from walls when cornered, and adapts it into his fighting style. He can also perform superhero leaps like jumping over high walls.
Heightened Senses: Brin's senses are enhanced, however his sense of smell and hearing seem the most dominant and enable him to identify, locate and track anyone. He also seems to possess night-vision and his sense of taste, coupled with his sense of smell, assists him in his cooking.
Werewolf-like Attributes: As a result of his father's experiments, Brin is always at risk of losing control of his feral side and never knows when it might happen, this side of him can be set off by things like stress, his emotional state or outside influences. In his feral form, his body mass increases as he becomes taller and more powerfully-built.
Healing Factor: A side-effect caused by the Zuunium treatments triggered an adaption needed to help cope with Brin's transformations and the amount of pressure they have on his body internally. He is able to recover from minor injuries faster than a normal human but it takes longer for him to regenerate from severe injuries and he can't regenerate lost body parts or organs.
In addition, his claws are more durable than human nails and capable of tearing through most materials. Brin also possesses excellent tracking and hunting skills thanks to his enhanced senses and his animalistic instincts, coupled with his speed and raw strength, makes him an excellent brawler.
Weapons: N/A
Strengths/Abilities
Cook/Chef: Brin has a gift for cooking and baking, something that he inherited from his maternal grandfather. It also seems to have skipped at least one generation as his mother would often joke about her burning water just like Brin's grandmother claimed to do.
Artist: He is an amateur artist due to the fact other than reading, it was one of the few ways he could amuse himself on both the backwater worlds of Zuun and Rawl while growing up so he had plenty of time to improve his drawing and sketching techniques.
Mechanic: While not the genius his father is, Brin was at least taught the basic sciences and found himself excelling at one particular aspect of the more hands-on areas of the technical side of things. While unable to invent something completely from scratch, he can fit and possibly improve on any modifications to most vehicles, and depending on the damage is able to fix almost any type of machine.
Weaknesses
Senses: Brin's enhanced senses means he can be disabled or dispatched through the use of sound-based weapons or attacks and gases (either knock-out or poisonous).
Instinctive Behavior: On missions he relies on his instincts, however this can work to his disadvantage when going up against an opponent who's capable of outwitting him.
Feral Side: While Brin's strength and speed increases in his feral form, this side of him can used against him as he is capable of failing to tell the difference between friend and foe especially if mind-control of any sort or level is involved.
Anti-social Tendencies: His insecurities about losing control and fears about the beast within will drive him to act like he doesn't need or want anyone's help when in trouble especially when he fears hurting those who have become close to him.

History: Born to Mar and Kanna Londo, Brin spent his childhood living in the mining colony on the inhospitable planet of Zuun in the 31st century, unaware that his mother had given up her dream to be a zoologist when she became pregnant, feeling two scientists and a baby weren't a good mix.
Then Kanna died shortly after Brin turned ten years old, having ended up working as a medic in a local hospital, she was part of a team chosen to assist with helping the survivors of a cave-in. However the rescue operation met with tragedy as the trapped miners and the team sent to get them out were caught in a further series of tremors. None of them made it out alive and following the death of his wife, Londo's personality started to take a serious turn for the worse, he took his son and they moved out to the jungle world of Rawl.
Three years later, his nightmare began as Doctor Londo performed painful experiments on his thirteen year old son for the next three years all so he could create the ultimate fighting machine, eventually transforming the boy into a wolf-like beast.
After he turned sixteen, Brin escaped from his father's laboratory in a fit of rage, ran off into the forests of Rawl and rejected any attempts to recapture him. His father sent robots to track him down, but Brin, having reverted to a state of primal savagery, destroyed them all, Doctor Londo then manipulated the Legion of Superheroes into catching him.
Responding to his father's fake S.O.S, the Legion arrived and encountered Doctor Londo's robots in the forest. Brin arrived and destroyed several more of them, then he snatched an unconcious Saturn Girl and took off into the woods. Upon waking up, Saturn Girl established an empathic bond with him and realized there was more to this savage beast than met the eye. Using her powers, she succeeded in calming him down and Brin reverted somewhat though he was still part-canine in appearance as his mutated DNA was irreversible and the Legion learnt about his father's experiments. He decided to leave the planet after destroying his father's laboratory. He was subsequently offered membership in the Legion of Super-Heroes and took the codename Timber Wolf.
Timber Wolf's first official mission as a Legionnaire pitted him against a superhuman powerhouse known as Drax. Complicating matters were Drax's two monstrous pets who began their own tirade of destruction across the Earth. Timber Wolf partnered himself with Phantom Girl as they searched for the creatures in the sewer systems. His instincts drove him to somewhat protect her, but this did little more than annoy his team-mate. Still a bond began to develop between the two even when most of the Legion found themselves prisoners in the Phantom Zone.
A later mission brought Timber Wolf back to his childhood home of Zuun. He was part of an important expedition to find samples of Zuunium, the rarest mineral in the galaxy and the one thing that could save their colleague Brainiac-5 who was suffering from a worsening case of mental erosion due to being separated from his native Coluan collective. Timber Wolf and Superman fought through a phalanx of mining robots and were able to successfully procure enough Zuunium to help Brainiac.
Two years after the battle against the Sun-Eater, a Superman clone from the 41st century came back to the Legion's time in the 31st century to ask for their assistance against Imperiex who had devastated the Earth of his time. Timber Wolf was part of the team that went to the 41st century to battle Imperiex, only the tyrant ended up travelling back to the Legion's era.
With that particular 41st century ceasing to exist as a result, the group and their new ally barely made it out of there with Brainiac-5's help. However despite the Coluan youth's calculations, something went wrong with the space-time anomaly taking them back home to the 31st century and Brin became separated from his friends, becoming lost not only in time but in an alternate universe.

Not moving from his seat, the wolf-boy glanced in Doctor Fate's direction as he got to work, announcing the presence of Chaos magic centered around the lycan and that he had neutralised it even as the older man sat down - his wounds healing instantly. Brin's eyes narrowed at his words and he growled a little, so Klarion had left him a little present - that did explain some things.
Switching his attention to Dinah as she dealt with her team-mate first before she moved over to see to him. Yellow eyes lowered to stare at his feet and the teenager started a little as she touched his shoulder, his ears twitching forward as the blonde woman spoke, implying that she wanted some answers, her tone of voice stern even as she gave the shoulder she had her hand on a gentle squeeze like she was trying to offer him some comfort.
During the brief silence that followed Dinah's words, Brin ran his tongue across his top lip, his claws digging into his legs and he shifted slightly like he was uncomfortable with the situation. Trust or not - orders were orders. And while he didn't exactly trust Doctor Fate anymore, he owned Black Canary something - she had taken him into what could be considered her home, got him on the team and given him a new place to live. Plus she did remind him of his mother just a little.
"I wasn't exactly ready to tell anyone but I guess things have been taken out of my hands. I didn't always look like this" Brin's voice was quiet and he seemed to tense like he had to force himself to continue as his demeanor changed in an instant, eyes narrowing and his shoulders seemed to shake with something akin to rage for a few seconds.
Getting himself back under control quickly, the teenager seemed to fall silent for a moment - one ear flicking back and forth a little like he was carefully choosing what he said next. Brainy had instructed the whole team to be careful with revealing too much information when time-travelling.
"Let's just say that I was my father's science project..." and with that, he inhaled to calm himself at the thought of the one man he had thought he could trust most in the world, a fact that made his actions hurt even more when he had sunk down to that level, to being the true monster.
Letting that bit of news sink in first, he paused for a few seconds before adding - his voice barely above a whisper "I'm fine, and normally much better at keeping it under control... As for Klarion, he managed to find me..."
"I'm through talking, get out of my cave,"
