A nightly patrol with the Wonder Twins could end up in disaster. This time it has gone rather smoothly and Zan felt proud! Maybe they were finally getting the hang of who the crook is and who the good guys are. At least Zan hoped so! No more needing lectures from the Bat family or police. Besides didn't all heroes started out rocky before getting to where they are today? Watching the scenery in front of him, the male twin brushed his hair out of his face before taking a swig of water.
Twisting the cap back on the bottle, he leaned against the brick building of the general store where he stopped to get something to drink and eat. His food of choice ended up being chocolate cupcakes. Not the most healthy thing but he liked them. Beside it was a quick snack until they went home. Zan was not sure how much longer Jayna wanted to be out on patrol. Not that he was eager to give up at the moment to go relax.
“So Jayna, what should we look for now? That mugger we took down was a job well done! And we got it right on what was happening,” he said with a smile. A proud smile at that. He shoved the last of the chocolate cupcake in his mouth and tossed the trash away in a nearby trash can. What hero should be a litterbug? There is enough trash on the streets and not enough time to pick it all up. Both of the criminal variety and of the trash trash variety.
Zan polished off the rest of his water before tossing the bottle away. He had heard of recycling but did not see such a bin for the plastic bottle to go in, so in the trash it went. Humans were confusing on such a thing.
