Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

Sodam moved through the void of space, he was making his way back toward his own sector from Oa, nothing spectacular was happening, and it was moments like these that Sodam cherished. Because after all, the Green Lantern Corp was meant to keep peace above all other things. Then of course, there were times when the ring had to be used, those times were fun, but fun and peace are seldom in a pair for him. He was going pretty close to light speed, thanks to his flight and amazing speed, he made it from sector to sector pretty easily. Luckily when he began to explore space, he was able to keep sort of a map of where all the suns were that gave him power were. And recently he could not remember charging his body fully, and going this fast was beginning to show, as he began to slow down. He stopped and began looking around, he was close to one, he could hear it. He began in a new direction and within about 15 more minutes of flight, he arrived in the system, a relatively quiet part of space. He took no time before getting close to the giant star and beginning to enjoy it's power. He began to dive through the outer layer, making his way to the core, that was where he could go to get a quick full charge. As he arrived, he took about five minutes to get all the solar energy he would need to sustain himself for about seven more weeks, even when exerting himself. He was so glad he came to know his people's potential when under the conditions of a yellow sun, that coupled with the ring made him feel like he could give all he had to the universe's safe keeping. Besides, space was waaaaay too bad ass for him to let someone just come along and start messing stuff up. He burst from the core up through all the layers and emerging from the sun a yellow and green blaze, and he stopped to sit and take in a few more rays before flying off into space once more.
As he flew, he could feel the power course it's way through him, and with this, came a more sensitive level to his senses. Now he could hear the surrounding planets and some of the occurrences, sometimes he would catch trouble like this, as opposed to his ring telling him everything to do. It helped him get some extra work in. On a nearby planet, he could hear there was some sort of globally destroying rock moving towards it and it was going to fast for anything to alter it's path... anything besides Sodam Yat. He moved towards the rock swiftly before pointing his ring at it and covering the entire thing in a green forcefield. Stopping it was easy enough even though it was moving very fast and was very large, but thanks to his newly charged body he moved it away from the planet and unleashed it to go in a new direction where there was no path with another planet. He would have destroyed it, but there was life on the rock, nothing highly advanced, but a bunch of living organisms were on it all the same as the planet, and who knows what they were meant for. As he saw the larger portion of the rock off into space, he turned to see there was still debris falling to the planet.
This time however, there was no life present, so these smaller bits he could just do whatever to...except nothing, nothing in this situation would be bad. He zipped along the small group of them unleashing controlled blasts of heat vision at them, which incinerated the fragments easily. But then he looked, and one had unfortunately escaped his sight, and was now breaking the atmosphere and falling toward the planet, if it landed in water, then it would just splash about causing no real damage, however, upon further inspection of it's trajectory, Sodam found that it was on course to smash into a highly populated area. That could not be allowed. He broke the atmosphere and moved towards the rock at high speed before getting in front of it, and beginning to slow it down with his strength, and began to steer it towards a rather vacant area where he could set it down. He sat it down causing a loud thud and looking at the surrounding area before taking off back up into the void to see what else the universe had to offer him. As he got a distance away from the planet, he began to look around and listen once again.

Post by William "Black Hand" Hand on Jun 21, 2013 0:26:53 GMT -5
Black Hand didn't care about the universe. He didn't care about leaving planet earth and visiting other planets. For him, death was important, but death of his own race was key. He would be able to expand in time, after he managed to wipe the earth of all humans. Make them into his army, or just get rid of them altogether. He didn't care what happened to them, as long as they all got to experience death's sweet embrace. The kindest thing he could offer them- a way out of their chaotic, pointless lives. So many sought to stop him, but it was only because they didn't understand. He doubted they would understand on other planets, either.
Still, he had been curious. Some of his mortal enemies came from far away planets, and his ring was just as capable of flight as any of the others. So he was interested in figuring out what he could do with his vast amount of power. While earth was most important to him, it wouldn't be entirely detrimental if he used other worlds to bolster his ranks. Populations that were weak and easy to overcome could become mighty undead warriors with just one ring on each and every finger.
Suddenly, space travel didn't seem like such a waste of time. Not if it also meant eventually attacking the home worlds of those who sought to shine their lights too brightly. He could even mount and attack on Oa itself.
He liked that idea.
So he found himself watching his Black Lanterns unleash hell on some small population of aliens on a planet at the edge of sector 2814. He smiled as his Black Lanterns pulled the hearts out of some of them to feed their rings, while others simply killed them so they could later be made into lanterns as well. It was like going out to eat dinner, rather than sticking to boring home made cuisine. Yes, he was starting to think that he had been a bit foolish not to explore the expanses of space sooner.
He landed on the planet, standing before a couple of the remaining aliens. They trembled and sobbed for their lives, looking up at him with three unblinking eyes. The black lantern, however, was void of any emotions towards them. They cries for mercy fell on deaf ears- he was already granting them a great gift. Death was something to be welcomed, not feared.
For them, he had already given them much. Mercy was just being greedy.
He watched as a construct blade ripped through one of them, cutting them clean from the tip of their forehead and directly down the middle of their body. As they split in two, the other aliens wailed in alarm and sorrow. Music to his ears. He would be saving them from all of that soon enough, they just weren't aware of it yet.
Before long, they would know the same peace their friend had just found.

Sounds began to reach his ears, terrible sounds, blood curdling screams and cries for help on a planet not far off from his current location. The inhabitants seemed to be under major distress, it was in his job description to go and check out the situation and help however he could. He checked his ring for the coordinates and began to head in that direction, he wasn't far off, he began to see it as he got closer. There were swarms of men dressed in black wielding what looked like black versions of power rings. He took time to consult his ring's database on who they were. When the ring pulled up information on the Black Lanterns, he read to find out that they were all extremely violent and he was advised to use whatever force necessary to defeat them. The only problem was, there were so many, and they all seemed to be behaving just as the ring had warned him, violently. Oh well, just another day at the office as far as he was concerned. Sodam accelerated to blinding speeds as he entered the atmosphere. His speed continued to increase as he swooped in and slammed through a few of the lanterns sending them flying as he continued his assault. Soon enough he was flying through them smashing them with his fists, and incinerating a few of them with his heat vision. He came to a stop and turned to look at all of them with his eyes glowing a brilliantly angered red. He was upset because as he stopped, he noticed the grusome scene that he was too late to prevent, there were women, childrne, elderly, all slain unjustly. These were the actions of a mad man, one he intended to stop.
As he looked them all over, he moved over to the aliens who were still alive and stood in front of them with his arms folded, eyes still ablaze. He opened his mouth to speak, what came out were gruff grizzly words, but the lanterns would get his meaning. Enough people had died today, and he was sick of it already. The smell of fresh blood permeated the air, and it thickened the situation even more. ''Leave... Before you lose that liberty, you animals'', he said before turning to the rest of the aliens. There was a small child who was quivering clutching onto her mother's dress, no doubt they were prepared to say their goodbyes to one another, but luckily Sodam showed up when he did to do the things that he had done. His ring indicated to him that telling them to leave would probably not work, so he turned his attention back to his enemies and pointed his ring at them before sending a large wave of green energy barreling for them. Their actions were atrocious, wrong, cruel, every bad word in the dictionary. Children had lost fathers, mothers had lost sons, and the likes. Nobody should have to suffer through what these people recently had.
