Hiding was so simple, so easy to do among the vast length of the Rockies that stretched into Canada. One could follow various paths, tuck away under an over hang or in a cave, or even hunt the game of large and small animals that wandered around. In some aspects it was the ideal place to hide and to keep away from the judging eyes of society, just to be away from civilization and among those who would never accept someone different. Least it was suppose to be.
How Rin wished it was that way, but there were the downsides to her new 'home' that she had discovered during the two years she had gone into hiding. She was alone, food was often hard to catch or find, and many times the mountains were treacherous to navigate. She had often watched hikers and mountain climbers or sometimes campers from afar come and go with little care for the dangers. And they all seemed happy often, enjoying times with companions or family, all of what she had lost.Lost all because she was a mutant that society didn't seem so keen to accept and not even her own town had wanted anything to do with her, forcing her to flee her own family just to avoid them being hurt.
Though that was two years ago and she was barely making it by, often going hungry or having to avoid being spotted. It was a rough life style and she knew one day she may not be hiding for very long before someone decided to approach her, whether it be hostile or friendly.
Sighing the feline mutant turned her gaze away from the beautiful but dangerous mountain side and began to make her way down from the cave she had used for a shelter. If anything she was able to adapt and learn quickly to survive there. But just enough to live. She was going into her same routine of making sure no one was around before following a well worn path from several people walking and riding along it, giving it a quicker way to travel then relying on the unsteady rocks that she normally had to use. But luckily it didn't seem busy that day and could likely give her a chance to catch something since it had been a day or two since she had truly eaten something worth while. But it was too early to say.
For now she just kept her ears open, eyes peeled, and was ready to spring to action to hide if need be.
