.....................................................................
Full Name: Bane
Code Name: Bane
Age: 34
Date of Birth: January 16
Sexual Orientation: Hetero
Species: Human
Alliance: Villain
Citizenship: DC
Canon or Original?: Canon
"Victory is MINE Baldy!
And if you had any hair I'd take that too!"
And if you had any hair I'd take that too!"
Hair: Bald head, though it's uncertain if this is natural or due to shaving. What is known is that, while he had hair, it was brown.
Eyes: Normal, human eyes with brown irises, and your run of the mill dot pupil.
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 225lbs
Distinguishing Marks: Though none can be seen outright, there is more than likely heavy scarring underneath his mask.
Appearance: A constant mask on his face shows only his eyes and brows; his nose, mouth, jaw, ears and the back of his head are always covered by the metal plating of his protective mask.
Otherwise, he's known to wear a heavy, military grade bulletproof vest, matching with black cargo pants with sewn on kneepads, and a pair of military grade and common Doc Martin boots. Around his right wrist is a leather brace/fingerless glove, strapping on.
Despite being human, Bane has a frighteningly well built body - a man of dedication, time and hard work, he has a hulking frame that looks like it should be on an Asgardian, and though he may not have the strength of the Gods, he can certainly give quite the hit.
Face Claim: Tom Hardy
"I’m not interested in making new friends,
I don’t even like the ones I have”
I don’t even like the ones I have”
Likes: Ass kicking, control, power, anarchy, taking on a challenge.
Dislikes: Easy victories, Batman, stupid people assuming themselves better than him, meddling, clouded judgements, failed and foiled plans.
Personality:
Despite his ruthlessness and ability to hone his tasks in an almost obsessive manner; Bane is a logical, rational thinker, who tolerates nothing standing in his way. He is entirely sane; and rather than take on the biggest task in an impossible manner, will break it down into far simpler, far more possible goals which he will then eliminate ferociously one-by-one. That being said, he prides himself, and would rather be challenged than succeed with the utmost ease; Bane will not waste his time on weak, unworthy foes. He is tenacious, driven, unpredictable, and extremely dangerous.
What must be remembered, is that Bane is frighteningly cunning, and indisputably headstrong. He is extremely confident in himself, and has a very well trained mind as well as body. Someone once said that he had accomplished "joining the horizons of his mind". For that reason, he will not allow other things cloud his judgement - but rather stay fixated on the task at hand. That is why Bane will regularly accomplish his goals.
"With great power comes great responsibility"
Powers: Bane has no outright powers, however his cunning mind, his ability to masterfully plan, manipulate and physically dominate others proves him to be a worthy and dangerous advisory to man and super alike.
Weapons His fists.
Strengths/Abilities:
Tactical Mind: Bane is a master tactician, who is able to plot and think in such a focused, obsessed mentality that he is able to keep his mind and judgements unclouded and undoubted.
Hand-to-Hand Combat: Bane has developed his own style of fighting built solely for the purpose of putting another man out for sure. It is fast, heavy and relentless; showing no mercy to whoever encounters it.
Strong Body: Bane can take a lot of physical punishment and remain undeterred. He is a true physical specimen and example of the strongest in mankind.
Weaknesses:
Bane's mask is his biggest weakness; if the tubes are broken or the connection is snapped, the anesthetic that is pumped into his body will stop flowing, putting him a state of near constant pain. The likelihood someone will be able to land strikes or make much contact with his mask is questionable, however it is still a possibility.
Bane can also be beaten through means of physical attack, though this in itself is as difficult as it sounds. To kill Bane through the means of physical attack, one will first have to best him in a physical confrontation. Only try if you like your chances.

the sanest man alive to lunacy,"

History:
Bane was born into prison life for the crimes of his father; growing up in the hostile environment, he was forced to develop a sense of survival and instinct to avoid particular situations. Though, of course, every learning lesson comes with a price, and as he grew and developed in prison, he was forced to come to terms with killing - his first, and then following murders, being taken through the use of his shank hiding teddy bear. Unfortunately, his actions had consequences, which led the Warden to locking him in solitary confinement. It was here that Bane realised the only way to truely survive was through hard work, dedication and strengthening both his body and mind.
From this, Bane began to train himself using meditation, reading whatever resources he could gain access to and physically pushing himself as often as he could - especially while in his isolated cell, as it would often flood. Upon release, Bane never quit his new-found routine, and began to push himself harder, becoming self-taught in the means of math, language, tactics, history, philosophy, and so much more; his work paid off as he became a beast tuned to be a finely set killing machine. Guards and inmates feared him alike, becoming recognised as the king of the prison.
This fear held the warden back far too much, and with no other option, he had Bane transfered to The Pit - considered the worst prison on Earth. He spent large amounts of time training himself further, and developed his own fighting style to survive the harsher environment. During his time there, he took a liking to Talia al Ghul, assisting her in her escape from the prison - though for his betrayal, Bane was beaten and left for dead by the other inmates. Returning with her father, Rha's, Bane was saved from the prison and given his mask, which directly injects pain-killers into his wound.
Enlisted into the League of Shadows, Bane became a force to be reckoned with - aggressively and ruthlessly approaching every single goal of the league and accomplishing them; though often with an extreme lack of prejudice, and a clinical, chilling fashion, seeming to lack any sense of moral fibre in order to achieve the final goal. That was something that set him apart from others; instilling a chilling sense of fear in many other members. With no option left, Rha's was forced to eject Bane from the group, who went on to work solo on many plans and projects. These seemed to correlate largely in returning to various prisons, and picking up where he left off; conquering them one by one from the inside - blacklisting him fully fledged as a tremendous opponent.
Spending time away from Gotham, Bane has made his return - his goals simple; to do as he pleases and sees fit. Bane looks to send the world into a state of anarchy in which he is viewed as the overseer - make life for everyone into the prisons he has come to know so well.

Writing Sample:
Morning - it was time to set out; time to take himself to wherever he had to in order to start pulling the foundations of the world out from under itself. But it would be tricky; he lacked the means to do so, for now. He had no minions, he had no money, he lacked the necessary tools or skills to take the cities financial standings away from it, nor the manpower to completely remove the police from his path. In order to create his anarchy, he would have to remove these two things, and then attack the political spectrum.
But how? Well, first, was recruitment. With no money to hand, he would be forced to enter the mean streets and begin a recruitment of words and cunning; not that he was any stranger to it. Any man who wished to harm Bane in his attempts would be in for a very rude, very painful, and very sudden awakening - he was not a man who could, nor would, be trifled with. He had come to show this, demonstrate it on such grand stages over and over again; why now would be any sort of exception would be a mystery.
No, he knew the police and the authorities feared him. He could tear them apart and break them. He could stomp them down and leave them as nothing. He would leave them in his wake, there was few in their suit who could do much to damage him. After all, fighting Bane was never as simple as cornering him with guns. He was much too smart, and much too difficult for such a basic boxing in - he was too intelligent for that. But, before he could return himself to such glory, he would have to scratch the surface once more. Prisons had been about reputation and conquest - demonstration, test runs and the process of tactical experimentation; learn what worked and what didn't. it had served him very, very well, expanding his mind long past the limits it once sat in. But Gotham was no prison, and neither was the world. Not yet.
