Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

It was too easy to forget sometimes Peter Parker was a regular person. He wasn't late this time, no; Pete was painfully early to meet his girlfriend Gwen Stacy. He needed to see her so badly, to talk about these things that were happening to him and have them all just.. make sense. She did that for him; Gwen made him remember the person he wanted to be. Aunt May and Gwen.. they kept him stable.
Every other conversation he'd had with her recently had ended less than favorably so here he was- holding these stupid flowers for about an hour before their scheduled meeting time, waiting in the park for their 'date,' if that's what this was. Honestly, Pete needed that time. There was just so much going on with the Avengers, and the Wizard of Oz, and school, and everything else, that an hour in the park where he could just forget that he even existed was such a luxury for him. Part of him needed to forget, the other part needed to work up the courage to speak to her. Gwen was a smart girl. She could probably tell he was growing more and more distant and avoiding her.
"Mornin,' Kiddo. " he rehearsed, talking to himself "I got these for you. Just sort of.. picked them on the way here. Heh.....Listen, I know you probably hate my guts right now, but... I'm just no good right now, Gwen. "
"Remember when we first met? Gosh, you were such a brat then." he continued aloud, almost laughing when he spoke at the memory. Goodness when was the last time he laughed? Freshman year. In truth, he had been ignoring her advances at the time, entirely oblivious to her.
Petey had Spidey sense, not quite common sense.

Gwen couldn't even remember the last time her and her boyfriend had a civil date. IF this was even a date to be honest. Everything had kind of gone awry with Peter and Gwen. It honestly made her angry, like very angry. She knew that she shouldn't have been treated this way but she knew that it was her father's dying wish and it was respectable in her eyes that Peter honored him that way but still, it made Gwen heart broken, she didn't know if she could completely forgive him for it but then again, the pair never actually broke up. Peter always made Gwen have these butterflies in her stomach. Wait, no more like the whole zoo. She had been pining over him from afar, but she couldn't resist anymore. Gwen headed out of her apartment and down the street to the park.
Gwen had begun to remember the times she shared with Peter, when everything was like a basic normal couple. Except for the fact that he was Spiderman. It was pretty insane to her. She cared for him none the less and would do anything to help him out. Gwen cringed at the fact that this meeting probably wouldn't go swimmingly but she needed to see him. She needed to have him back, she was all set with playing this damsel in distress card.
She heard him talking to himself, holding flowers in his hands and smiled to herself slightly. Gwen cleared her throat and walked closer to Peter to see his face. "You will never be no good for me." She said to him. She looked down and gave him a sheepish smile. "Hey bug boy." She decided to ignore the brat comment he made about her, why not try to not start a fight. She wanted him back, to the fullest extent. Period.

Of course, of course... he smiled to himself, "Right on cue." Peter turned around to face her, holding the flowers in his hand. He broke the distance between them by hanging his arm out in front of him. Not quite an apology, not quite a promise. Peter didn't have anything to offer Gwen right now besides the flowers. It must have seemed silly to an onlooker, two people, spaced slightly apart, the man offering a small boquet. It was almost theatrical, but that was just Peter being who he was. All he had to offer her were actions; all of his practiced words had run away from him. Take it, he pleaded inwardly. It was all he had, and he wanted to give it to her.
You will never be no good for me.
Despite how that made his heart soar, he decided not to argue that point. He looked down, scuffing a dry leaf against the pavement."I wish I could pretend that things are okay, but they're not." his eyes flickered upwards, his brows furrowed and tense. Peter blinked a few times and then looked at her. "I've missed you..." he admittedly quietly, but still he felt as though his words were cheap and useless, just like his garden variety flowers.
