"Victory is MINE Baldy!
And if you had any hair I'd take that too!"
And if you had any hair I'd take that too!"
Hair: Kept relatively short, spiked and untidy, solid black.
Eyes: The whites of the eyes are a solid, glowing yellow; vertical pupils are solid black. The pupils.
Height: 6'2”
Weight: 177 lbs (excluding tail)
Distinguishing Marks: A tail measuring 3'9” and weighing 87 lbs. Thick red and black scales all over the body, patterns less prominent near the hairline and on the palms of the hands. Teeth are unusually sharp with two fanged canines. Slightly webbed fingers and toes, opposable thumbs, retractable claws on both fingers and toes. The claws on fingers measure 4.3 inches when fully extracted. Claws on the toes measure 4.8 inches when fully extracted.
Appearance: Due to the aforementioned distinguishing marks, Seth is what one would call a Mutant with a physical mutation. He is unable to blend into a crowd and even among his fellow mutants, the snake man often finds himself feeling like an outcast. Not only does he stick out like a sore thumb because of his scarlet skin and its scaly texture, he is a rather large man; just above average in height and with a muscular frame. He does find ways to blend in with the type of clothing that he chooses. He wears sweaters and hoodies that will hide his skin, hoods, hats, sunglasses to shield his glowing yellow eyes. Comfort is key when it comes to this man, especially where his tail is concerned. All of his pants must be altered.

I don’t even like the ones I have”
I don’t even like the ones I have”
Likes: Sports, heights, climbing, nighttime, mechanics, control, food, being active, working out, video games, peace, quietness, his powers, comfortable clothes, good moods, coffee, solitude, computers, rock and roll music, horror movies.
Dislikes: Being told what to do, prejudice, mutant haters, being alone for a long period of time, staring, his appearance, mutant supremacy, being confined, crowds, people who talk too much, cleaning.
Personality:
RESERVED While Seth does occasionally enjoy the company of others, he does not like to talk about himself, his past, his opinions or anything that would be considered 'personal'. Partly due to his sensitivity to movement and partly due to his closed off personality, Seth has a rather large personal bubble that will widen in an instant when he feels cornered, pressured, annoyed or angered. A part of him longs for physical contact, for intimacy... for love, but a larger part of him fears it – or, at the very least, the reaction people have whenever they touch his scaly skin. He fears rejection, he fears that he will end up alone or abandoned.
CARING While it is very difficult to get to know Seth and earn his trust, it is a very rewarding thing, as he is a very loyal friend and ally. He is insanely protective, to the point of perhaps being overbearing. Once he develops a bond with somebody, he will lessen the emotional barriers he has set for himself and reveal a kind and understanding man, the complete opposite of his usually cold and aloof demeanor. To him, betrayal is unacceptable and he will react very strongly towards people who turn on him, especially because it was so difficult for him to trust in the first place. He holds grudges, and once you've crossed him, there is absolutely no chance of going back to how things were. He is also the type who will seek vengeance when his friends and loved ones get hurt, acting impulsively, without considering his morals or the outcome of his actions.
HARD-WORKING Seth is the epitome of a perfectionist, a trait that was drilled into him by his father. Not because his father was strict, but because Seth wanted to do everything in his power to make him proud. Seth pushes himself to his limits and even then, he will not stop if he hasn't accomplished what he initially set out to do. This makes him incredibly stubborn. He can become rather aggressive when people attempt to tell him what to do, especially when it comes to his harsh work ethic and the impact it has on his physical and emotional well-being. However, he does a very good job whenever he sets his mind on a task and will go to great lengths in order to make sure they are done right, from extensive research to spending extra time in order to make sure everything is done right. He has a hard time relinquishing control.
GOOD-NATURED Although he may be a bit of a pessimist at times, Seth does believe that everyone has some good in them, and in turn he feels that, as a man with extraordinary powers, he is responsible for those who do not have them. He is helpful, kind, genuine and has nothing but respect for authority – well, unless these authority figures have not earned his respect or they interfere with his goals, at which point he will have to rebel. He is the poster boy for 'rebel with a cause'.
ATHLETIC Seth loves any kind of sport and is a bit of a fitness nut; he works out on a regular basis, and to him, sports are the ultimate kind of stress relief. He does like team sports, but he will often steer towards individual sports, as it is easier for him to do what he wants and how he wants it. He loves to run, swim laps, climb and kick-box but his all-time favorite sport is rugby. He loves watching sports on television and can get quite intense, especially during the Australian rugby or the EURO season. He loves poking fun at the Americans and their football; he thinks rugby is so much cooler, and he has a list of arguments at the ready in case the debate comes up.
"With great power comes great responsibility"
Powers:
WALLCRAWLING Due to the scales that cover his entire body, Seth can crawl on vertical surfaces such as walls, but also maneuver upside down on horizontal surfaces such as ceilings. The scales of his hands, forearms, feet, lower legs and belly have a ridge of muscle (they can be felt when one is running his or her finger in the opposing direction) and those muscles will stiffen when he attempts to 'wall-crawl' so that they can enter the tiny cracks of rough or semi-smooth surfaces. These climbable surfaces include rocks and stone, bricks, concrete, bark, wood, dry-wall and some rougher metals. His sharp claws and tail are also a factor in this ability, as they facilitate the task and give him an extra sense of security. Shocking is the primary way to stop him from using this particular ability. In fact, the electric current disrupts voluntary control of his muscles and causes the ridge of muscle to go limp, causing a loss of grip. This can be done with a taser, stun gun, a person who has the ability of electrokinesis, etc.
ACIDIC SPRAY Special 'sacs' located inside of the gums will produce an acidic substance that is both colorless and odorless, yet dangerous. The muscles around these sacs can constrict, which will release the substance as a spray, burning upon contact with animal skin and flesh, as well as similar organic materials. The severity of the burn not only depends on the material's thickness, but also the range and distance. The severity, even with a close and direct aim, does not exceed that of a second degree burn. Digesting, injecting, or if the substance enters an existing wound will cause vomiting, a loss of appetite, dizziness, swelling, fatigue and/or blurred vision but will not in any circumstance be lethal. These symptoms show up within the hour of consumption and will gradually lessen, usually leaving the system within twelve to twenty-four hours. The smaller the person and the larger the intake, the longer it takes. Mutants with the ability to fight off disease or regenerate will heal faster, some may even be immune. Seth himself is immune to the poisonous acid due to his body having developed antibodies. His skin will not burn if he is in contact with the substance.
MOTION SENSING Seth has the ability to detect motion within a five feet radius of his person, due to small sensory pads that can be found around his body, including just below his ears, along the outer part of his arms and on his tail. These pads are highly sensitive and can detect even the slightest change of motion in the vicinity, from a butterfly's fluttering wings to bare feet on grass. This particular ability can prove to be disadvantageous, as any type of movement will catch Seth's attention, which is a cause for a very low attention span.
ENHANCED AGILITY AND REFLEXES Although he is not the smallest of people in terms of height and weight, Seth is very agile, due to a tail that allows him extra balance. He can propel himself higher in the air compared to most; he can also land from higher altitudes and receive a lesser amount of damage. The sensory pads on his skin also make it so that his reaction time is greater than that of a normal human – up to 250%, to be exact.
NIGHT VISION Seth has vertical pupils that will naturally allow an excess amount of light in comparison to a normal human. This makes it so that he is sensitive to light, although not to the point where he cannot function – for the most part, he is merely uncomfortable and would prefer a dim environment. However, at night his pupils become an asset, as they will dilate and allow more light to penetrate, equaling to night vision.
Weapons N/A
Strengths/Abilities: Kick-boxing, cooking, mechanics, computer programming, reading people, climbing, his ability to stay cool under pressure, his independence and his commitment.
Weaknesses: His strong dislike of confined spaces, his inability to accept criticism, his low attention span, his inability to think things through, his temperamental nature, his distinct appearance.

History: Seth Mitchell was born in a small town near Redlynch, Australia to fisherman Robert and school teacher Eleanor Mitchell, an older couple who had been trying to conceive a child for over fifteen years. Prior to his birth, the couple went through numerous miscarriages and were told they would never be able to have a baby. In late 1989, Eleanor found out she was pregnant again. In January of 1990, at six months pregnant, she'd reached a point in her pregnancy that she had never reached before and was put on bed rest after cramping and some spotting. At eight and a half months, she went into premature labor and gave birth to what she believed to be a beautiful little boy. Seth was not your average baby – he was born with bright red scales, a skinny little tail and looked up to the nurses with yellow eyes.
His welcome into the world was a very awkward one, and although the doctor that delivered him was shocked and the nurses did not want to touch him – Robert and Eleanor were thrilled to finally have the child they'd been anticipating for such a long time and they could not find a single flaw when they looked into their son's face. He was brought home and introduced to the family pets, and soon enough a routine emerged. Seth was a very loud baby and an overly active toddler. He climbed the walls – literally – and threw his vegetables onto the kitchen floor like any fussy baby. He was a handful and often gave his parents hell, but they never stopped loving him and caring about him. For the first five years of his life, he was treated like a regular boy and loved unconditionally.
His mother quit her job and turned to homeschooling Seth in order to keep him safe. She knew it wasn't fair to keep him away from other kids, but she also knew how cruel and judgmental the world could be. His father taught him how to play rugby and the pair watched the sport on TV religiously. He also taught his scaly red son how to box, and although Seth absolutely loved it – Robert's true intentions were to give him a means of defending himself... if he ever needed to. They both tried very hard to keep Seth as happy and as safe as possible, and while the young boy was blissfully clueless at first, as he grew, he started to wonder... He'd gone outside before – he had a large backyard to play in and even had a few friends his age to play with once in a while, but he knew he was different. He knew he wasn't like other kids and that there was a lot of things out there he wasn't getting to experience.
By the time he was fourteen, the stares and the whispers, not to mention his parents' desire to protect him, became unbearable for the young teenager. He despised himself, longing for a normal life. He wanted to date, join the rugby team, go to the movies and parties, drink beer with his buddies – he wanted to be an ordinary kid. One night, with the help of his neighbor and childhood friend Kevin, he decided he would go out and explore the small town he'd lived in his whole life. The nightly escapades became ritual, until, two months later, Seth was approached by a group of drunken men. At first, their goal wasn't to hurt him – but they saw his face and, due to their bigoted ways and lack of inhibition, they attacked him.
Seth wasn't defenseless however, and he managed to get away with a few bumps and bruises. His parents' grip on him tightened when they found out, but that only resulted in Seth rebelling more. He tested his boundaries, and one time he even walked out onto the streets in broad daylight. He was almost sixteen when an entirely new challenge came and knocked him down when he was already on his knees. He discovered he had feelings for his friend – another boy. It was a difficult time. He was barely able to accept his physical mutation, let alone the fact that he was possibly gay. He believed that he was dealt a very terrible set of cards, and sometimes a part of him just did not want to have to play them.
He didn't want to face his problem – he didn't want to admit his feelings. He dug himself a hole, with the intention of hiding away and never looking back. He didn't want to deal with other people and face humiliation. He didn't want to see hatred in other people's eyes, or hear those hurtful comments. He was realizing that there was no chance for him to ever be normal... and the truth was pushing him into a depression. His parents, aware that the situation was one they were unable to handle – they decided to do research. They wanted to find a place where he could get help. A place with other people like him. That was when they came across a school in America: Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters.
In September 2006, sixteen year-old Seth moved to New York and started his studies at Xavier's. He wasn't the brightest student, he wasn't the most powerful or the type to be a fearless leader. He was just... average. Even his appearance didn't earn him any curious glances after a while. It was refreshing, and Seth was able to enjoy his high school experience without any kind of drama. He graduated four years later, when he was nineteen, and moved back home to Australia to help his father take care of his sick mother.
In the span of the next year, Seth lost both parents. His mother passed away of breast cancer just weeks after Seth moved back home, and nine months later, his father suffered from a heart attack. Unsure what to do next, Seth decided to move back to New York – after all, Xavier's was his home and the staff and students were a second family. The only family he had left. He spent some time doing odd jobs – mostly, he was in charge of taking care of the cars and even had the chance to do some work on the school's jet. He also took online college courses at New York City College of Technology and earned himself a Bachelor of Technology in computer science. He has since been working as the school's handyman in all things mechanics and computers. He is also a proud member of the X-Men.

Jenna groaned, rolling over onto her stomach and giving her alarm clock a death glare, as if it was the reason for all of her turmoils.
1:56pm, it read. She'd been in bed for a little over an hour, and yet she still couldn't fall asleep. This was ridiculous! Of course, it didn't help that she had all sorts of emotions pounding at her feeble excuse she called barriers, attempting to invade her mind! Her new neighbors were constantly fighting; and when they weren't, well, someone else in the near vicinity was in a bad enough mood for it to have an effect on her. Jenna sighed, raising herself into a sitting position on the bed and running a hand through her tousled red hair. She couldn't do this. She just couldn't.
A part of her wanted to grab her cell phone and call Bobby. She regretted not telling him that she was also a mutant yesterday... or, well, the day before, since it was past midnight now... Friday the 13th. Jenna closed her eyes. She'd never been a very superstitious person, but in that moment, she couldn't help but wonder if the world would be against her all day. It's just a stupid date, she thought bitterly. She fell back onto her pillow, her mind wandering to Bobby again. What if she told him and he got mad at her for not saying anything sooner? What if she'd lost one of the coolest things in her life before she could even begin to truly enjoy his presence? Now more than ever, Jenna Lawson wanted him to know. She wanted somebody to know... I mean, her dad knew... but it wasn't the same. Her father was very supportive, but he didn't know what it was like. He couldn't begin to understand the fear she had to endure every single day, not to mention all of the other emotions that passed through her mind, emotions that were not even hers to begin with... She just... wanted somebody to confide in, somebody that would understand!
Deciding that she probably wouldn't be able to sleep for a couple hours, Jenna pulled on a pair of sweatpants and a hoodie, walking out into her living room and letting herself fall heavily on her comfortable sofa. She started flicking through channels on the television, stopping when she caught a glimpse of a news report regarding the Mutant Registration Act. She swore under her breath, something that was quite unusual for the petite redhead, unless you counted those couple months when she'd been thirteen and uncharacteristically rebellious. Her mother hated cursing, so Jenna had suddenly grown a very potty mouth, cussing and swearing left and right, just to annoy the woman.
She'd grown out of it though, except for these rare occasions where she was feeling very bitter, or frustrated, or just downright angry. Right now, well, it was a little bit of the three mixed together. Definitely not the best combination.
She was just so freaking tired of this... she wanted it to end! The Mutant Registration Act, the fear, the worry, the sleepless nights... all of it! She wanted to be normal and to live a stinking normal life! Was that so much to ask for? Freaking government and their need to control everything... As if mutants were the real reason behind the world's troubles... If there was one thing she really wanted to talk about, it was the MRA. What did Bobby think about it? Had he registered? Was he thinking about it? Was he dead set against it? Maybe he would be able to help her figure it which option was best for her. God, why was this so screwed up?
In one hasty movement, Jenna got to her feet. She shut off her television and went back to her room, where she dug around her closet for her pair of expensive sneakers. They were almost three years old, but otherwise they looked brand spanking new. She wasn't a very athletic person, so athletic footwear was not something she made use of very often... but right now, she felt as if a good jog would do her some good. She pulled on her shoes and plugged in her earbuds, the music blaring into her ears within seconds.
She lived about a mile away from Central Park, so she decided that would be her destination. The park could usually get her to calm down when she was feeling stressed. She could easily find a quiet place, with no one around for at least half a mile. That was all she needed. Half a mile of nothing.
So she ran.
She ran, and after fifteen minutes, she started to feel a dull pain below her ribs, her breath coming out ragged. Her body wasn't used to a large amount of physical exercise. She paused her music and braced her hands onto her knees and took a few deep breaths. That was when she felt it. There was someone nearby, and he or she was all sorts of confused. Jenna couldn't tell whether the person was raging or overjoyed -- it was... Shit!
