Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

Who: Bradley Andrews, Vaughn Sterling, Bane, Bart Allen, Spiderman, Mary Jane Where: Manhattan, New York What: The Attack Threads. Clyde Angeles's final part of phase one is now underway and SHIELD is now at risk of falling. When: After the interrogation of Dominique Falcone, it is revealed that something wicked was coming. Notes: There is to be no killing of the main players. For the people who are coming to the aid of our heroes it is up to you to decide how and when they come into the thread to help. Let the games begin! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - History. It held events of the past though only major. In different locations but at the same exact time separate happenings would occur. While those who slept were cradled in their dreamland across the globe there were people that moved about, buzzing like the drones they were. It would be foolish for one to think that in a sea of billions they actually mattered. For each good deed a person could muster it was often times turned a blind eye. Those who lived lavishly in their millions were recognized for their sin. It was such a twisted world Earth had played out to become. Minds quick to reform, to change, to try something new, bold, and daring revolutionized every single era of man. With century there has been something to marvel from the humans of Earth and it was quite possibly the one astounding feature. Today marked a day that was to go down in the history books, if all is not covered from the public eye. There was a man who had an idea. Clyde Angeles, real estate entrepreneur and scheming billionaire, thought of anarchy and power. He was a human who allowed his pride, greed, and vanity take hold. But he knew his time was short. When a man came forward with an idea of a revolution, it would be his life taken that shows the revolt. It would spread like wildfire soon after as those who were given the opportunity, given the mere thought, would carry it to the end. They would run those who were against them into the ground without a second thought. The Angeles Ball had been a success. Slowly the heroes of the world gathered into one large mansion in Washington DC, either in attending or for the rescue mission. Loki Laufeyson, the demi-god of Lies; Bane, Gotham's cerebral assassin; and Jonathan Crane, the holder of nightmares. Three villians who were involved in the plot to destroy SHIELD from the inside out. After questioning by Malaki Amherst, he had the locations provided by Dominique Falcone to which something terrible would be happening. There was no explanation, just the warning of what she had heard through the grapevine. The Avengers Mansion, an area in North Carolina, Manhattan, New York, Metropolis, and Gotham City. Fury dispatched Captain America to North Carolina, a top secret building laid underground which contained many dangerous objects and people. Loki's scepter was currently housed in the facility. Amelia Smith was dispatched to Metropolis, home of Superman. Natasha Romanov was dispatched to Gotham City. Clint Barton was dispatched to Los Angeles. Danii Washington was dispatched to the Avengers Mansion. Sharon Carter, Michael Morbius, and Johnny Storm remained on the Hellicarrier. Bradley and Vaughn had been dispatched to one of the main research areas in Manhattan. Jerry Tucker was currently present in Texas, servers went down at another SHIELD location the night before. Zara was still present in Gotham's Arkham Asylum. So far everything seemed normal. Their orders were to investigate every inch of the location they were given, look for anything that seemed out of the ordinary and if something did occur then they were to report to Fury immediately. Who: Vaughn Sterling, Bradley Andrews, Bane, Bart Allen, Spiderman, Mary Jane Where: SHIELD Base. Manhattan, NY What: Attacks on SHIELD Notes: Vaughn's NPC profile.
An irritated jaw chewed at the soft lining of the cheek as the engine revs and the vehicle accelerated down the street. The look was one of complex worry, eyebrows furrowed deeply as brown eyes moved back and forth at the mirrors to survey the traffic. Vaughn's reflexes were above most, he hardly paid any mind to the congested traffic that he easily moved in and out. His passenger, Bradley, looked none too pleased about Vaughn's driving but they didn't exactly have time to spare.
They were en route to the Oscorp research facility though no actual Oscorp personnel worked in the building. It was simply a cover for SHIELD and the use was a weapons research facility. This was Bradley's playground and Vaughn felt the tension in the air would be alleviated once they were inside, all of the weapons were inside after all. But why the panic? Not much more than an hour ago Dominique Falcone informed SHIELD of a major threat that would surface in areas. Vaughn was dispatched to this area in New York, Bradley was just along for the ride due to where they were headed. The world hasn't ended yet and there was still work to do in the eyes of their Director.
The guard, one of the few, at the entrance of the parking garage moved to his window to better view Vaughn's identification as well as Bradley. With a nod he stood straight up and the path cleared so that they could move inside. Vaughn decided it was best to park next to the entrance of the stairwell but had to settle with a few feet away given other asshole's wanting to do the same. The engine shut off when Vaughn turned the key, his attention on the outside as he looked on, ever watchful. The door opened slowly as he moved his head left and right, his right hand a ruffed up his hair while his left hand shut the vehicle. His brow was still furrowed, his jaw set tight. He wasn't sure if it would be this building or the location around them that would be hit, he knew that he was ready for it to be over.
"Let's head inside, I can watch from the building," He spoke before he even turned his head to Brad, he was an observer; he hated to be at a disadvantage; he hated being caught off guard. [/blockquote]

Who: Bradley Andrews, Vaughn Sterling, Bane, Bart Allen, Spiderman, Mary Jane Where: SHIELD Base, Manhattan, NY What: Attack on the SHIELD base Notes: Bradley Andrew's NPC profile.
Bradley's fist held his coffee clenched within itself as his scowl glared out at the road ahead of them. He wasn't a people person to say the least, it was easy to assume that a jackass driving like an asshole would make him even more grumpy towards people. Bradley wasn't a slow driver but this was ridiculous! There haven't been any explosions, any gunshots, nothing at all to merit this type of driving. Bradley wanted to enjoy all of his coffee and he wouldn't be able to do that at all if he was wearing most of it.
The weapon tech could see the designated building before him, he was going to be out of this damn car soon. He knew why Vaughn and the others were worked up but he remained calm for a couple of reasons. Bradley didn't do field work, he stayed in his large building and constructed weapons for SHIELD and anything else they ask for. He was a master at figuring out things worked so if he were to be needed to say hack into a weapons database to shut some down when the other heroes were busy- he could do it. SHIELD was always under attack by something or another, this was practically no different. He wasn't worried, ole scruffy man here would just blast them away with his trigger finger.
Bradley did grumble a bit when the guard looked at him for identification. He knew who he was, Bradley practically lived here in this building as he truly enjoyed his work and being left alone. Unless someone was bringing him good food or sour patches. Then he would deal with people cause that shit was bomb and acceptable. He flashed his badge but kept his irritated stare forward, ignoring the snick from Vaughn. Brad's grumbling was easily heard within the car.
Bradley's blue eyes looked at the rows of parked cars, the yellow lights that dimly lit the interior of the garage. It was dark down here, the further you moved from the entrance it seemed like it would close up and you'd be doomed to be under here forever. He spotted his supervisor's car and instantly smiled, that ass...
He moved from the inside of the car and then outside. He brought the cup to his mouth and took a few gulps from his morning coffee and glanced around. It was a bit creepier in the parking garage due to the threat against SHIELD. But the woman who have the warning was about as scary as a trapped bee. A bee that can be squashed should Bradley lift the glass.
"You mean you don't want to hang out?" Bradley replied with sarcasm, his attempt at humor. Though Vaughn's face remained flat, Brad scoffed and turned to walk towards the entrance to the stairs. Never take the elevator in cases like these.

Normally, the stairs would have been the smart decision. Normally, it would just be a creepy old parking lot where everything looked like doom, gloom, dank and despair - normally, it was just a normal car park where everything looked worse than it was. But this wasn't a normal night; it was no run of the mill evening, no ordinary day, no predictable hour. Today, the depths were opening up and the sea was expanding. Territories were turning, and the wires were crossing - the shark had swam to new waters, the waters of New York City. SHIELD had long thought themselves as ahead, and believed they were doing such a perfect job of holding their secrets. They hadn't counted on Bane with his ear to the ground.
Tonight was Bane's night - he had already set up his search and destroy mission; the building insides had been infiltrated, and his finger was on the button - but first was a score that had to be settled; a message requiring a send. If it left undelivered, then what was going to happen here tonight was just mindless destruction - SHIELD had to know the who and the why. Vaughn and Bradley were the key - and they had now just arrived.
Stepping from the shadows, Bane held his arms crossed across his chest, watching the pair as the jacket dawning behemoth glared the pair down - this might have been their waters, but no real shark would ever back down from a confrontation. A real, truly fearsome predator would take his prey head-on, show no mercy or fear as he thrust himself into the thick of the coming brawl. He would force the blood in the water, and then capitalise. Go for the head, and then tear it from their shoulders; where the head went, the body would follow.
"Ah, agents, nice of you to appear finally. I'm sure you remember me from the ball, but just to remind you, I am Bane. Now, normally I would be fighting to control Gotham City, but this little "rouse" of yours caught my eye. How very clever of you, to disguise your operations as another - how unfortunate that research is an easy feat. Now, before we tear your little labs apart bit by bit, I will give you an opportunity - enter the building, and retrieve your weapons, and then return to me for the coming brawl. There is no need to try and rally your troops - those are my people now. Now go, and be quick - you don't want me to have to come and fetch you."
The blood would flow like a river this night, and these two would be the signature he left - SHIELD would remember this as they licked their well opened wounds, as they were dragged to their graves, their agents exterminated like marauding dogs. The whole city would remember this night.

Vaughn looked at Bradley for a moment, his brows raised an face unsure. Did he just joke? When did Bradley ever joke? Maybe he did more than he put on but his face never spoke of humor, mainly grouch. Vaughn's mouth broke into a small smile and he shook his head, at least he was trying to lighten the mood. He had taken three steps towards the stairs and stopped when he realized the other person hadnt followed. Vaughn stopped and turned around to catch sight of a horrified Andrews. His back had been turned for no more than five seconds which allowed for Bradley to catch sight of Bane. His brows furrowed instantly as his body relaxed through reminders inside. It would do him no good to be riddled with rage when they fought which he knew would happen, again.
Bane had fought against himself and Danii Washington at the ball and were easily defeated. He had never come into contact with the behemoth given other assignments to different areas that werent Gotham City. He had not paid too much attention to the criminals from that area, Loki and his clan of allies were what they focused on since the invasion a year ago. They had their own villains, he didn't bother learning much of the new ones. However when Vaughn found himself meeting the floor one too many times against the man in the mask it caused him to go back and check Bane and a few others out.
Most from Gotham weren't a high threat level but Bane certainly made that list. He found from reading that the villains there were very much real people versus what they encountered on a daily basis. Almost none in the city exhibited amazing levels of strength but they were especially intelligent which was what made Gotham so dangerous. A brain fixed on murder and the decaying of a city and it's morals was far worse than a being with large muscles and no brain at all. But he had figured out Oscorp had only allowed the use of the name when it was SHIELD who occupied the inside. Vaughn wasn't entirely sure as to what was inside in te computers but he knew that it wasn't all rainbows and puppies. He glanced back to Bradley when Bane gave the approval of becoming armed.
He nodded his head and watched as Bradley turned on his heel and quickly ran up the stairs. Vaughn didn't follow, he decided to remain below as his weapons were always on his person. He could use anything ultimately though he favored his blade and chain variation. Instead he removed his jacket and placed it upon the hood of the car and walked from around it. His eyes remained locked onto the large form of the aggressor. He hoped Bradley grabbed something large because he genuinely wondered if Bane would feel the effects of a bullet.
"So all this to find out what's in the software upstairs? I read about you, Bane, after you shoved my face in the floor at the ball. Why do you waste your intelligence and skills doing things against us?" He asked as he stood across from the Rogue with his arm across his shoulder. Bane seemed to have some sort of honor, some form of manners and decency. He allowed a chance for the retrieval of weapons, he doubted standing a few feet from him would promise a death before Bradley came back down the stairs.

He had indeed attempted a joke an at first it seemed that the ninja agent wasn't going to get it. Perhaps he should start doing the joking thing more. He glanced back at Vaughn to tell him it was a joke but he had caught sight of something that had taken his voice away. It had taken all types of thoughts away but instead replaced them with fear, with panic. He had been at the ball and he had gotten to witness firsthand what this man could do. He also saw what another person from that city could do with a set of chemicals and the brain. His joints had locked up and his blue eyes remained fixed on the man who was slowly approaching them. He walked so casually, so calmly. How did he know they'd be here? Wait.
Wait a fucking second.
They were here at this location due to the threat of an attack. And now Bane was here. He figured there would be.a person from their world who would be in the area, Oscorp headquarters is not too far down the block after all. Bradley didn't pay too much attention to the files of criminals, he didn't really need to. He made weapons for people who fought the criminals.
He did do some reading and asking about Bane and Scarecrow. One is a weapon, the other manufactured his own weapon that attacked the brain. He glanced to the ceiling and back down at Bane. He actually is approving them getting suited up for battle? All it took was a headshot and Bradley could make that easily. Without much more than a quick nod Bradley felt like he had flown to the stairs. It felt like it was no time at all before he was at the correct floor. Seven flights of stairs when the adrenaline is pumping, it's nothing really.
He threw the door open but stopped as soon as he ran out of the stairs. There were men within fashioned in war type gear, greens, browns, blacks. He also saw his weapons in their hands. His fists clenched together in anger. Bane did say these were his men now, these were his halls now. God help them all.
He moved slowly down the hallway and slid his card so that the doors would slide open. Bradley threw a glance behind him before he turned and kept going, thinking of which weapon to grab. Coulson's revenge was inside though the cool down period would only allow him to fire it maybe three times if he was lucky. He chewed the inside of his cheek as he grabbed a few modified pistols and glocks. The high powered weapons already in Bane's hands by way of his men. Coulson's gun was only protected given a lock code only he knew. The beeps of the numbers being entered sounded quietly, barely above a whisper until the top of the box opened and the weapon was able to be retrieved. Today was the day he had to do more and he would. He would blast the whole building to kingdom come so help him.

As Andrews bolted by, Bane simply circled to keep his focus on Andrews, for now. In truth, his attention would soon split and divert - he knew all too well that the pair worked with impeccable chemistry, and that they wouldn't be the only two to appear; frankly, they were more like the starter before a filling main meal. This was going to have to be a short, but effective demonstration - a message sent in less words, but greater emphasis so to speak. There was no point in draining himself if things were only going to get more crowded.
It always did disappoint him, though, when men like these two never quite had Bane figured out right. Sure, they had experience in men of madness, men of chaos and danger - but they never seemed to have his details clocked right. All they ever saw was muscle; the man beast in physicality, but never the intelligence he housed. Not that Bane had any reason to give away that advantage - some stereotypes went in his favour - but he did like a challenge, and any advisory who did their homework knew the level of intelligence Bane had. He was no petty criminal, he was a tactical genius, capable of great feats, and horrifying acts.
"For men tagged as the best when it comes to agents and militia, you always come to disappoint me, Vaughn. Every SHIELD agent seems to be the same; to have all that brain matter lumped within your skulls, but only ever use twenty five percent of it at any given time - it is frustrating, really. Only ever taught to follow the story on the surface, you seem to always forget the important points of who I am. Your leaders blindly charging, and you doing the same in the name of orders - not all orders are the right orders.
Still, your partner has been inside for quite some time now; no doubt retrieving the largest weapon he can carry. I promise you two things. The first, is that I will not attack you until he returns - I am unarmed, and shall remain so unless it becomes necessary, though if you attack me before his return, I will be forced to defend myself. The second promise is, no matter the weapon he brings, it will not be enough. No matter the stone your David may fetch, his sling will not be the weapon to collapse my Goliath.
I shall tell you this, though, Mr. Sterling - if you still believe software is the thing I am here for, then you truly have no grasp of the situation that lays before your feet. Should you survive tonight, and still wish to come back for more, it would be of my humble suggestion that you do your homework and try to come up with something more reasonable, otherwise, the ground might swallow you whole. The fissure that will open is quicksand, Mr. Sterling. Enough to suffocate both your employers, and your world."
So much to say, and yet so little given away, other than the fact Bane's code of honour remained in tact - this wasn't about proving he could cause more bodily harm than the other two, or even the high tech co outer programs inside the building, for that matter. It wasn't even about the advanced weaponry. So, if not any of those things, then what? A man like him never came for nothing, but surely the something had to be big if he was ready to make a personal performance out of it? Dubious, mysterious, but their impending threat stood calmly, waiting for Vaughn's return to the battlefield.

Kick some bad guy butt? Check.
Leave them tied up for the police? Check.
Rescue the pretty actress? Check.
Escort said foxy lady home? Che-
...Rain check.
Peter had been taking a one Miss Mary Jane Watson lady ma'am back from un-distressing when his soon-to-be-trademarked spidey senses flared up. There were the regular signal flares, tiny sparks to tell him there was a petty robbery and a jaywalker on Broadway, and then there was this kind of warning. It meant something big. Something big usually came packaged with a sore back and Hulk-sized bruises in the morning. Only this wasn't the Hulk. The giant jumbotron screens in Times Square told him the that Bane had been spotted in New York City. His city.
Meaning this was some kind of mafia-wars-sized supervillain turf invasion he wasn't clued in upon. Well, until now. Was Bane expanding his terrortory or something?
Get it? Terror-tory. No one?
The last time Peter had a run in with Bane, his face was drooling on the floor while he watched Ironman get chiropractor services from the massive galoot. He cringed. He could still hear the sounds of metal and bone break when he closed his eyes. (How was Tony still standing?)
"Out of the frying pan and into the fire..I am so sorry, Red." He then swung the pair of them onto a nearby building. First order of business: Get MJ somewhere safe. "Thanks for the fun but... uh.." [/div][/div] he scratched the back of his head. It had been a while for Peter to be perfectly honest and he'd been trapped inside of labs and fighting sweaty dudes for the past few months. Female communicative eloquence was not his strong suit today. He held up his hand in command. It was really just stupid but it was the best he had for the moment. "Stay." The last thing he wanted was for her to follow him into the battlefield. "Its gonna get ugly out there." and with that, he was gone towards the secret Oscorp-SHIELD lab. Peter didn't have the sense to block the fire escape for the time being. His mind was focused on payback for Ironman. He was powerless to do anything before, but he could now. He stepped off the ledge and dropped down, shooting a webline once he was midway and landing himself between the two men. "Hey look. The gangs all here. So this is Angeles 2.0 or what? I'm totally down for a round two, big guy." he nodded back to Vaughn and half-whispered. "We can take him, right?"☢ Tag: NXXX | Words: 400ish | Outfit: SUIT UP | Notes: ohshitwe'reallgonnadie

Vaughn stood there with his brows knitted together, her arms had crossed against his broad chest. Bane had gone into a speech, explaining nothing but allowing the SHIELD agent information, insight, into who this man really was. Vaughn had battled various types of people, experienced with weapons and martial arts; giants with traps and so many others. But here stood a man who as he talked Vaughn picked up key facts. He acted as a man of his word as he vowed to not engage until Bradley arrived back on the scene. Vaughn heard some shouting up at the entrance of the garage though he never tore his gaze off of Bane.
He seemed to be a man of his word, of his honor. And when he finished Sterling wanted to know what made him so confident. Why did he think the weapons and years of training on and off the battle field would do nothing? Vaughn was a successful assassin, Bradley an excellent marksman and mind that fashioned anything into a weapon. Bane was one man. But he didn't want to allow for a miscalculation. The night at the ball was a giant disaster. They had all been thrown off and the fighting style the man with the mask exhibited wasn't one that he was expecting by a long shot. He was as fast as he was strong, speed normally lost on a body with heavy muscle mass.
"Nice words for muscles. We aren't briefed on everything, we do receive orders so as you can see, I'm in the dark on this whole charade. Did you miss the exit for Gotham?" He said just as a splat of web hit the ground before them both. Vaughn smirked, believing the scales have been balanced quite a bit with Spider-Man's entry.
"Yeah, we've got this. Bradley is comin' back down then we can get this show on the road. I'm sure he won't mind three on one. Right buddy?" Vaughn asked Bane, his ego expanded.

Should he open fire on the men armed to their teeth? He'd go out in a fire of bullets but Bradley knew he'd take quite a few out on his way down. No, that would be irrational. Bane allowed him to retrieve weapons which mean their fight was with him. The people that lined the halls of the building were his army, his weapons. They do anything he says, he was their Fury. Bradley glanced at the camera he knew was streaming at the hellicarrier, a look of hope that they were aware of what was going on and they were trying to fix it all.
Bradley moved as calmly as he could back down the stairs, his hands clutched the weapons. One more floor and he'd be able to see te entrance to the garage. How had he gotten into this mess? He should have stayed in Oklahoma and repaired people's weapons and cars. How hard was it to fix a motor? A job change was in his thoughts as he chewed the inside of his cheek. There was the door. And a flash of red and blue.
Bradley Andrews stopped at the door, just a pause. It was Spiderman. Good! Maybe Fury had seen and was doing what he could. Hopefully The Thing or one of the other Fantastic 4 members would show up too. He'd like to see Ben pound Bane into the cement of the city streets. His shaking hand gripped the door as he swung it open and moved through the frame. He carried Coulson's Revenge, two modified pistols with barrel chambers for its bullets, and Item 47; a Chitari weapon apprehended in Flordia. Bradley remained silent as he looked on glaringly at the menacing Bane. He knew he needed to stay the furthest away.

I WANT YOUR UGLY AND I WANT YOUR DISEASE i want a bad, bad romance * WANT YOUR EVERYTHING AS LONG AS IT'S FREE- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Well, this was new. Mary-Jane Watson glanced sideways at her webbed hero as they flew across the sky. Well, it was more like swung. The city was astonishingly breathtaking from way up here and once or twice the actress caught herself staring out to the horizon over his shoulder, completely in awe.
She’s bumped into Spidey now and again (or perhaps he’d jumped in and saved her), but this was the first time he’d dropped her home – so to speak. On a few rare occasions Mary-Jane would catch a glimpse of him on television or shooting through New York City skyline, twisting and flipping and soaring through the air. He appeared to be swinging a little less exuberant and complicated this time, perhaps in case she’d throw up. Not that she would of course; MJ had always been a bit of a daredevil at times, always the first one on the biggest roller coasters, always the last one off. A bit of back flipping would have been fun and she had been tempted to say something when they had suddenly changed direction.
"Out of the frying pan and into the fire…I am so sorry, Red," he said, swinging the pair of them onto a nearby building. Mary-Jane frowned a little as he lightly placed her back down on the top of a building. But then she saw it. His face: Bane. A little wave of panic rushed over her as she suddenly heard the screams of terror down below.
"Thanks for the fun but... uh.." Spider-man scratched the back of his head. Mary-Jane opened her mouth to reply when he held up his hand in command. “Stay. Its gonna get ugly out there."
Mary-Jane raised her eyebrows and crossed her arms at him, staring at him pointedly. She was not accustomed to being talked to like a dog, and did not appreciate it either. In normal circumstances, she may have given him a bite of her wrath but knew of course, that under normal circumstances, he would have come up with something better to say. She had to cut the poor guy some slack, trying to save the whole of New York against this madman.
“You’re lucky your cute, Tiger,” she said with a resigned tone. The redhead knew he was right of course, she would be no help in a warzone, especially against guys like Bane. Still she quickly realised she was pretty much stranded on the top of a skyscraper with no way down.
’Woah – wait!’ Mary-Jane called out to him, but he had already swung off into the mayhem. She ran as close to the edge as she could, watching him leave with a worried expression on her face. With a little sigh she said quickly ’Be careful, Tiger.’
