Divine
What does it mean to be a good person?
.....................................................................
Full Name: Divine
Code Name: Divine
Age: 14 months
Date of Birth: Unknown
Sexual Orientation: Unsure
Species: Clone
Alliance: Neutral
Citizenship: DC
Canon or Original?: Cannon
"Victory is MINE Baldy!
And if you had any hair I'd take that too!"
And if you had any hair I'd take that too!"
Hair: Short black hair, lose unkempt, will probably grow it out
Eyes: Sky blue, exotic
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 160 lbs
Distinguishing Marks: Noticably large, unrealistically perky and one hundred percent real breasts. Tall Stature, photoshop level beauty and physical form
Appearance:
Divine is six foot even with a weight of about a hundred and sixty pounds. She is athletic to put it lightly, certain areas of her body are lightly riddled with muscle, such as her abs and arms, though she is by no means a Ms. Universe contestant, she still has her fair share of curves. The other notable feature is her unusually large breasts. Most women in the comic book scene have exaggerated breasts, but Divine's are huge. Much like the woman she was cloned from, they're unrealistically perky (and firm) for their size and are 100% real. She has Black Hair and sky blue eyes, her voice is a mid tone, not quite high pitched but not quite baritone either. Her annunciation is a mix between a New Yorker accent and a Mid-eastern European accent, this is because before she was 'born' she spent time floating unconscious in a tube in a lab that the scientist the created her spent most of his time. So when she was born her accent took on traits from his, but over time, she's lived in New York long enough now that she's picking up bits of their dialect and nuance. She skin is lightly sun kissed and utterly blemish free. She is genuinely gorgeous.

Personality:
Divine is something of a free spirit. She's focused on having a good time, but the flip side of that coin is also being focused on finding herself. She has a fairly high empathy, and a generous portion of charisma, but she also lacks context. In one moment, she may save a person from mugging, then question why she did it in the first place. She feels for people, but she does not know why. She was born in a test tube, she has no parents, her only morals were formally based of off those of a mad mans, who she has since left the employ of. In reality, she's lost, lost in the way a person might feel when they are between jobs or between careers, she feels like she is between lives. She was taught to hate things, but not given a reason why. She has mostly stuck to following her heart, which is an exact carbon copy of Powergirl's heart, which has lead her down a different path than the one intended for her by her maker. One of higher morals, kindness, compassion, but along the way, she questions what these things truly mean.
Right now she's trying to make ends meat and find her place in the world. She doesn't want to be a hero, but only because she can't find a reason to. She doesn't know what it means to love, or have a family. There is no extended empathy, she see's a person in pain and will help alleviate that pain, but that is where the connection stops. She's searching for something, but she isn't sure what it even is.
"With great power comes great responsibility"
Powers:
Divine possesses all the powers of an adult kryptonian exposed to a yellow sun. She is nine tenths as powerful as Superman is at his strongest, capable of truely jaw dropping, Herculean feats of strength, speed, flight and hearing, along with a small arsenal of lesser abilities, such as high powered focusable heat vision, freezing breath, x-ray vision, telescopic vision, microscopic vision and near complete invulnerability.
In DC's reboot, The New 52, Superman Describes his powers in reference to a technology discovered on Krypton capable of creating what he called World Breakers, and cites the technology was destroyed because of its potency.
This a quote from the wiki concerning Super-mans powers.
" ...with Superman currently possessing enough strength to hurl mountains, withstand nuclear blasts with ease, fly into the sun unharmed, and survive in the vacuum of outer space without oxygen.
Superman's famous arsenal of powers has included flight, super-strength, invulnerability to non-magical attacks, super-speed, vision powers (including x-ray, heat-emitting, telescopic, infra-red, and microscopic vision), super-hearing, and super-breath, which enables him to blow out air at freezing temperatures, as well as exert the propulsive force of high-speed winds."
Now I'd like to put some hard numbers behind these concepts for comparison
Energy Absorption: The energy radiation of the yellow sun within this planet system is absorbed at exponential rates by all kryptonians exposed to it. It remains yet to be see if Sinestro's Yellow fear light power is absorbable by the Kryptonian physiology.
Strength:If there is a limit to a Kryptonian's strength, it is unknown. Kryptinians tend to become as strong as they -need- to be. Towards the upper echelons of this limit, biochemical wavelengths extend out of their bodies to support larger, bulkier weights, such as glass buildings and mountains that would otherwise crumble if supported by a comparatively gnat sized objects.
Super Speed: Maximum atmospheric speed approximately 3000 miles per hour, space speed limits are near the speed of Light. Objects can and will be damaged in passing while traveling at speeds in excess of 650 miles an hour due to physics, thus limiting Divine over all speed capabilities near civilized areas unless she wants to break stuff.
Superhuman Vision (Telescopic, Microscopic, X-Ray): She's capable of seeing all wavelengths of light, magnification in excess of 400 times (Roughly the maximum of your average scientific light microscope) and a hundred times zoom (Roughly the average of your high powered binoculars) X-ray vision may harmlessly penetrate all materials save Lead. The effects of her telescopic vision are multiplicative with other forms of long range vision enhancement. She could use binoculars to see the surface of mars, or the Hubble space telescope to see other galaxies.
Heat Vision: Emission of super heated plasma beams from her eyes that can vary in magnitude from a common harmless laser pointer to the same heat intensity of the sun (5500 degrees C) which as you well know, is capable of damaging just about every known material in the universe. The beams can be focused to the same circumference of her pupils to as wide as several feet across. At maximum intensity, this heat vision could be damaging on a planetary scale.
Super Hearing: Based on evidence within various written literature, it can be inferred that fully developed Kryptonians are capable of hear all sound on a given planet. Intense focus and control is required to attune their hearing to various levels. Those levels, for example, being Planetary, Continental, state wide, city wide. It's unlikely she could hear a pin drop in a busy intersection from the other side of the planet, but she would most likely hear it, if she were listening for it, and was in that same city.
Super Human Stamina Divine is able to exert herself at maximum potential for an unlimited amount of time so long as she is exposed to Yellow Sun light. For extended periods of deficiency to Yellow Sun Light, it's capable for her to become worn down, but such conditions are unknown, as such a thing has never happened.
Invulnerability: Able to withstand a swim through the Sun, there are no known non-magical forces within this galaxy capable of harming Power Girl. The biochemical wavelengths her body exudes also act as a protective shield, even in the absence of this force, her physiology is so densely packed it would take several megatons worth of force to harm her molecular structure, how ever such technology exists and was employed by Satanna in Power Girl(The hero Divine was cloned from) issue 9, Satanna employes a sonic boom hammer that is capable of damaging Power Girls internal Organs. Various conclusions can be drawn from this. The hammer was magical in nature, or powergirl is simply so unused to feeling pain, the damage may have been utterly negligible, but intense still the same to a person who rarely feels pain, or it was just bad plot writing. My vote is with option 2.
Freeze breath: Upon willing it, Divine can breath out breath plunging well below freezing, she can control the temperature of said breath very finely, from a chilly breeze to liquid nitrogen level cold, capable of freezing enemies solid in place. This breath is cold enough to compromise the molecular structure of a solid strong enough to restrain a kryptonian, so there for it is VERY COLD. Talking Bose-Einstein condensate stuff.
Super Breath: She can also inhale and expel breath at hurricane level force.
Longevity So long as she remains exposed to the yellow sun, Divine will not age. When Not exposed, she will age very slowly, 1:10 ratio.
Super Human memory: Krytponian Neurological synapses exposed to yellow sunlight are capable of remembering details with far greater accuracy and for far greater time periods than normal, giving her not a perfect photographic memory, but nearly so.

Strengths/Abilities:
- Very high innate Charisma
- Very good Exotic Dancer
- That's it really, she is a clean slate, she can read and write, but has no formal education or training. She's doing pretty good considering most people her age can barely say one word.
Weaknesses: (at least 2)
Hot Headed
It would be inaccurate to describe her as easily provocable, but if a person pushes the right buttons, sending Divine into a rage is not a difficult thing to do. She has her 'sisters' genes, after all.
Magic Vulnerability
One cannot defeat Divine with a single Magic Missile, but she would definitely be rubbing her bum after getting shot with one. The point is, her invulnerability does her no good against magical damage. It offers protection still, but magical items can cut her. There is a continuum to be observed in regard to this weakness. Weak Magic will not harm her, moderately powerful Magic with hurt, but not lethally, Powerful Magic will wreck her shit.
What about *gasp* Kryptonite!
Yeah yeah, She's weak to Kryptonite. But I'll only tolerate it's use in a selective capacity. If EVERY plot against her involves Kryptonite, then we probably wont get along very well. I'm a huge fan of working out ways to break a Kryptonian's Plot Armor. It's usually safe to assume that they will have the advantage of strength but something a lot of people forget is, (good) Kryptonians pull their abilities. They use weakened versions of these in almost every case. Everything is a feather for them, so take advantage of that in your story! Science-magic is a safe alternative to getting the edge on a kryptonian (Look at pretty much anything lex luthor has ever done if you need inspiration xD). When in doubt, talk to me! I love plotting! Especially epic fight scenes!
Red Sunlight
By itself, this will largely only prevent a Kryptonian from becoming energized to superhuman levels. How ever, at extreme levels it can be harmful and even deadly. When Passing through the core of Kryptons red sun to defeat Superboy Prime, Earth 2 superman was killed and earth 1 superman was nearly killed as well. The photons interact with Kryptonian physiology in the same way yellow sunlight does, but with an opposite effect, there for at high concentrations, such as when weaponized or from a red sun, a rapid expulsion of solar energy from their cells is achievable. This process is very painful.
Grew up in a test tube
There were education programs designed to keep Divine from being a completely clean slate when she was born from her laboratory Environment, but they were mostly the extreme basics. Subtraction, Addition, Multiplication, Division, reading, writing. Only the basics of these principals were taught to her, She has about a 6th grade education, if that. She isn't stupid though, she's just naive and uneducated. She's got a genius level intellect and learns extremely fast, most of the time she only needs to be told something or read something once to have it committed to memory, but there are still things that occasionally fall beyond her realm of Knowledge.

History:
Divine is an experiment. She was created in a test tube by Dr Sivana at the employ of Max Lord. When Lord ultimately died later on, Divine was left without a leash and collar. She was lost. After wondering aimlessly and causing destruction in lower population areas at her leisure, she decided she wanted to make something of herself. She had no identity, no personality, she was not a person, she felt more like a doll. She needed to change that, and to do that she decided she needed to start living instead of simply existing. Her first step was to stop breaking laws when it suited her, her second was to find a place in life for herself. Ultimately she settled on New York, but she did her very best to avoid Karen Starr. She picked New York because of the cultural diversity, she wanted to learn about life and people, she was very curious.
But with no connections, she was homeless for some time until she met a man named Harken. Harken was a pimp, and offered to employ Divine under the table, of course the idea of performing sex acts for money was disgusting to Divine, so she never truly worked for him. One of Harken's girls though, noticed how lost and out of place Divine was and offered her help. This girls name was Cynthia, and she is still one of Divine's friends. she gave Divine a place to stay and hooked her up with another man who owns a Strip Club, Divine soon began taking her clothes off for money. She was at first appalled at the notion of it, but since she had decided to keep her powers a secret, her new Room mate told her she needed to find some way to pay her half of the rent. Begrudgingly, Divine became a stripper. How ever, with time she learned it wasn't so bad. She met a lot of interesting people and started to enjoy the New York Party life.
And enjoy it she did. She quickly settled into a comfortable night life/party life style, she made lots of friends and has been doing her best to just really live life as full as she can. She has managed to get a cheap apartment in a building that doesn't ask questions, it's grimy and run down but it's her own place. She's slowly but surely running into all the little nagging problems that life offers as well as all the little pleasures. She's begun to experiment with romance, and has found that men simply aren't her cup of tea. Women on the other hand, have been more than interesting. She had an on again off again relationship with one of her co-workers at the strip club where she works, but she went missing one week. Three weeks later her body was found in the hudson. Divine was destroyed, but her small circle of friends helped her through it. After that she decided she was tired of hiding her powers, and revealed them to her closest friends and together they solved the murder. With Divine's muscle and all the subtle clues, they discovered it was one of the drug dealer patrons that often frequents the club and now he is rotting in Prison.
It was her first real experience with Superhero work and she still isn't sure she is cut out for it, she wanted to kill him, but her friends wouldn't let her. She isn't sure the justice system is correct, she isn't sure she agrees with it, but she is willing to admit she might be wrong. She continues to teeter on the edge between good guy and bad. Now roughly 11 women, all people she works with at the club know she is super human, it's a closely guarded secret and nobody screws with them, because they wind up injured or worse. Still none of them know Divine's true origins, she keeps that a secret that only she and two others know.
It's been almost a year and a half since Divine was 'born' from her test tube, and she is finding life to a complicated mess of non-sense, fun, and frustration. Slowly but surely she'll get the hang of it. Still, no one knows her true identity, she is obscure or out right confrontational about her past. She refuses to allow any one to think of her as a thing, so she simply tells people to mind their own business when they ask her where she is from or how her parents are doing. It's a touchy subject for her in fact, mostly because deep down, she is envious of people who have had these experiences and laments not having her own.
She struggles to define and maintain humanity in an almost inhuman world with little to no connections to humanity itself.

Writing Sample:
"Ricky, You didn't even pay me last week, now this week you're only giving me half? Come on man."
Divine is standing in a poorly lit hallway that leads from what looks like a dressing room into a make shift office. Back Stage at the strip club where Divine works, it's not pretty, but it works. All the money that goes into this place goes into the front end, the lights, the fancy carpet, the nice drinks, the whole show. Back stage is a mess because it can afford to be a mess, over all the place is nice.
She's wearing a bra and panties and nothing else, one of her toes has a ring on it and there is a decorative golden band around her left bicep, it's taunt against the dome of her muscle there. She's arguing with a person that is presumably responsible for paying her, but there is clearly some sort of dispute. The man she is addressing is sitting at a cheap looking desk struggling with a computer that is way to slow for it's own good. He smacks the old school CRT monitor and then turns around to face Divine.
"Look! I'm sorry Divine, I just don't have the money. Jeff put in a new lighting system and I can't afford to pay you, you're not the only one, I'm only getting half my paycheck this week too.
Divine rarely loses her temper, this will be no exception, but she still clenches her hand into a fist all the same, her response is both snappy and confrontational. She isn't that angry, but frustration is starting to set in. The people she works for have been difficult to deal with ever since she started working here. Why does she stay? She asks herself that a lot. Like right now.
"Fine. You can be the one to tell Murcialago the reason I'm not dancing tonight is because his new whiz kid show designer is blowing all the money on crap we don't need."
At that Divine turns around and begins to head out of the hall way back towards an area filled with vanities and half naked girls, glittery things, make up, sexy things, silky things and all of it is very very girly. It's the back stage to a strip club, what do you expect? But before Divine can get there, Ricky jumps out of his seat and runs after Divine, he grabs her by the arm, but does so gently. Very ... very gently.
"Wait Divine! Please don't...Murcialago will eat my lunch and you know it, none of this is my fault, please Don't do this to me babe. I'm just the manager, I don't get any say. Murcialago makes all the decisions, i'm a puppet! I need you to dance, Tina and Emily can not work the whole night by themselves."
Divine makes a face when she is grabbed, as if she is mentally preparing herself for rage, but when she hears Ricky's words, she makes another confused face and looks back at him, she arches an eye brow. She really likes Ricky, he's a nice guy, but the guy they ALL work for, this Italian with an attitude who is full of himself and has more money than he deserves, he's the real reason this place is a joke for the most part. He owns it, and dictates how it should be run, but doesn't know very much of anything about running a business. Ricky is an actual business finance graduate, but his suggestions are often shot down. He works here because of a criminal record that prevents him from working in better places.
"I thought Stacy was working tonight too...?"
"Stacy called in sick. or rather, her kid is sick, actually I think they're both sick, I'm not sure with her sometimes."
Ricky's response is both empathetic and a little frustrated, he feels a lot like the messenger that got shot and Divine can recognize the look on his face and the tone of his voice. She takes another deep breath and sighs. She can't leave Tina and Emily here to work the whole night by themselves it would be murder. Four girls is practically bare bones enough, two would be inhuman, they need breaks. Then again, the tips would probably be nice if it got busy.
"Alright but I'm -not- working the stage, I will waitress and ONLY dance to give them breaks. And you tell Murcialago I want a word with him."
"Yes Ma'am!"
Ricky sighed in relief and then turned around to head back to his make shift office to continue fighting with the piece of junk computer he is supposed to balance the business budget on. He is cursing as Divine walks towards her vanity, it is labeled as such as black lipstick lettering across the mirror at her vanity reads DIVINE and is outlined in pink. She pulls her bra off and sits down and starts preparing to head out to the floor. It's early in the night, so there is only one girl dancing and the other is waitressing. As she sits and applies her make up and finds something sexy to wear that shows off her tits and ass, she wonders to herself why she is here again. She needs the money sure, but is this really the best she can do? Aren't there people that can forge documents to get her an identity? She knew if she told people about her true origins, the right person would probably step forward and offer their patronage, but Divine wasn't interested in being bought, she was interested in making her own way. She wanted every dime she earned to be hers. She may not have a bank account or a drivers licence, but every thing she has in life is hers.
She realizes as she prances out onto the floor with a smile on her face and her perfect, perky, huge breasts exposed and bouncing, that she has the rest of her life ahead of her. She knows this is just the beginning and big things have small beginnings.
